well, @magical-girl-coral commissioned me for a graphics set for the main six brotp and this is what i produced. ♥ i'm actually very pleased with how this one came out. as always, i just have fun doing graphics!

FOR THE MERFOLK ( meme ).

Nnoitra did not know anything about other creatures like himself. He did not even know WHAT HE WAS, other than that he was different to other Great White Sharks. His mother had been a normal Great White. His memories from prior to his birth, when he lived in his mother’s womb were blurry. He did remember there being siblings there though. And he remember being hungry. So hungry that he ate them all. They were smaller than him and so they were FOOD. Immediately after he was born, he was left alone. This would not have been different had he been a normal Great White. Nursing their young was not in his species nature. He was abandoned in tropical, shallow waters, where he spent his first few year of life. There had been other Great Whites there - but nobody had been like him. They had not wanted anything to do with him, and thus his lonely life began.

It was only in the most recent years that he was considered a proper adult. He could tell, because he had experienced the need to mate when mating-season arrived. This meant he was 26 years old, if he was following the same development-pattern as a normal Great White. Mating-season was incredibly frustrating for him, because there was nobody for him. He could not mate with regular Great Whites ( not only were they avoiding him, he didn’t know if he even should mate with them since they looked so different to himself ). What he really needed was to find a creature like himself. It was in his nature and biology to have instincts that told him that mating was his life’s purpose. But it was difficult when there was nobody like himself around!

Thankfully, for the rest of the year, he could live normally. Swim, hunt ( and play! ) - repeat. Though it was lonely, he would not say it was a terrible life. He would get gloomy from time to time ( who wouldn’t? ), but he kept himself busy with exploring more and more of the vast ocean. ONE DAY, he hoped he’d find someone like himself.

Can I just a big giant thank you for writing all those bleach lore metas? So much of it was lost on me and having someone like you around is a fucking blessing. And your Yoruichi is so eye opening??? You portray her so good??? Thank you for being around SO MUCH

thank you Coral! I should say that while I may present things here as fact because imo they are factually-based on the text and logically sound aside from that, they are often only supposition or best guesses and I have my own biases (because I lean toward a certain kind of consistency congruent with realism and themes)

but setting that aside I'm glad they're helpful! I have this uh compulsion and training to try and explain where I'm coming from so that when I say things it's not just me asserting things in a vacuum but lands with the cold hard mass of credibility, so I'd just be going off no matter what
