i do feel like a mad scientist making various wand combinations and mentally giving them to Percy to see if they explode something or if they feel right. Like if I were in the wizarding world I would want to work for Ollivander fr. this shit fun. I would make sooo many wands like vine and phoenix feather tho it would piss him off. Me OMW> to combine cores that fall easily to the dark side with woods that make the wand incapable of working after being made to cast a single dark spell. me finding woods that are so protective and loyal and attached and giving them the most detached cores. like come ON ollie-vanderrrrrrrr (said like a silicon valley girl) let me make some interesting matches. either the wand will explode outright or we can meet some really interesting people

Hogwarts Legacy Wands
Headcanons
——————————————————
Sebastian Sallow
- Wood: Cedar
“Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. (…) The cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. (…) I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond.”

Loyal to loved ones, and most important- would set the world on fire for people he hold close.
- Core: Phoenix Feather
This one is tricky, since I disagree with most fans. I strongly believe that Sebastian’s wand is exactly like him, wild and untamed, yet loyal and brave to who he trust. Also I believe that after the events of HL, Sebastian somehow was “reborn”, he reinvented himself. He went from being a charming boy to a troubled depressed mind (specially if you choose to turn him in)
“Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.”

Ominis Gaunt
- Wood: Fir
“My august grandfather, Gerbold Octavius Ollivander, always called wands of this wood ‘the survivor’s wand’. (…) There is no doubt that this wood, coming as it does from the most resilient of trees, produces wands that demand staying power and strength of purpose in their true owners, (…) Fir wands are particularly suited to Transfiguration, and favour owners of focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating demeanour.”

To other fans it may seem odd, but to me is obvious. Ominis wand is made of fir wood. It adds up to his arc as a character so well, he’s a SURVIVOR. He survived his family, their torture and pitiful views, he survived his aunt’s tragic death and he survived the scriptorium itself. PERFECT
- Core: Unicorn Hair
It’s the most consistent (it has to be since the wand helps him navigate), and is the hardest to turn to Dark Arts (I believe it is possible that he ends turning some time later on the story, but it will be for nuanced reasons)
- Little Bonus: Secret spell
When I talk about Ominis wand everyone expects that I explain how he uses it to navigate. However I can’t deliver that anser, sorry I just have no idea.
Perhaps is some kind of revelio he uses (I name it reveliomaximus)
Popping Sweeting
- Wood: Apple
“They are powerful and best suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixes poorly with Dark magic. It is said that the possessor of an Apple wand will be well-loved and long-lived, and I have often noticed that customers of great personal charm find their perfect match in a applewood wand. An unusual ability to converse with other magical beings in their native tongues is often found among Apple wand owners”

Just like Poppy, was born in an environment full of dark magic and couldn’t fit in. She is also charming and empathic
- Core: Unicorn Hair
As said before its consistent and hard to turn to the dark arts
That’s it, I hope you liked, See you soon :)
