Reader being Adam's third wife and Lucifer trying to rizz her up but she was giving him a hard time trying to rizz her
THE DEVIL HAS HIS OWN CHARMS
Notes: I know Lucifer is oozing with rizz but I liked to believe that he'll do that one meme where he just kneels and begs and keeps on saying "please, please, please" just kidding.
Reader is a heaven born angel, one of the oldest. Same age as Lucifer.
When she met Adam, Adam wasn't as bad as the current him. Adam before was nicer and it led [y/n] to fall in love with him.
As many years passed by, Adam became a little shit.
That lead to their divorce.
She was done with him, tired of him.
You know that saying when a girl is done with her s/o they are literally done? Yeah, she was flat out done with him.
Thankfully, they didn't have any kids.
Adam was pissed at this and decided to annoy her.
She was pissed at him and cussing him out, telling him that he's a sore loser for not being able to keep any of his three wives.
And since heaven had an obvious favoritism on him, that led to [y/n] well... Falling out of grace.
After falling, she actually hid away from the king of hell himself.
She hid away from the demons by being in her animal form, she chose to take the form of a crow to blend in with the environment of hell.
That is until she heard about the hotel.
She didn't plan on redeeming herself, no, no.
She didn't want to go back up.
But she planned on helping Charlie Morningstar.
When she joined, they were surprised to see a fallen angel at their door.
Vaggie didn't trust her at first but eventually did.
[y/n] mostly hid in the hotel and barely left the building.
Since they only had Angel Dust as their first guest, she decided to help around and improve the hotel.
When Lucifer decided to visit for the first time the hotel that his daughter is working on. None of the sinners caught his eyes until he was toured around the hotel by his daughter, his daughter's girlfriend Maggie, and the damn radio demon. As they were walking through the hallway, someone appeared on the corner and talked to Charlie for something.
His jaw dropped, a little.
The woman was gorgeous.
For a brief moment he wondered if she was an angel that came from heaven to release him from his sins.
Scratch that, she's making him sin even more.
Charlie introduces her to him and him to her.
Lucifer found out her name is [y/n] and he made sure to remember that. He also found out that the woman was helping his daughter.
He's so madly in love. It's ridiculous, he just met her for his sake!
[y/n] didn't stay long as she quickly left. Which saddened him a little.
A new reason to visit the hotel more.
For the next few weeks, Lucifer visits—twice to thrice a week.
During his time at the hotel he would try to make small talk with the woman that caught his interest.
Trying to get to know her but the woman is so closed off.
He tried to be smooth with his words but she only looked at him up and down with an unamused expression.
His pride is shattered, ironic as he is the symbol of pride.
He ranted about it to Charlie and in which the girl told him that he might be developing a crush.
Jaw dropped. In disbelief.
He denies it but ended up thinking about it the whole night.
He ended up removing his wedding ring as he thought he should actually move on now.
And he actually finally agrees that he is actually coming down with a crush.
On you.
So next time he visits he discreetly flirts with you.
Always ending up with you not being interested.
He's just trying so hard okay? It felt so forced.
Anyways, Lucifer received an advice from Charlie that he should be his authentic self.
And that's where he stopped forcing to make himself sexy or flirty.
And be his usual dorky self.
Which caught you off guard but not dismissing it, in fact you preferred this over how he acted a few days ago.
You and Lucifer slowly gotten to know each other.
The way his jaw dropped when you revealed you're a fallen angel and am ex-wife of Adam.
“Wait! You're a fallen angel and also divorced too? Well, so am I!”
You just laughed at how adorable he is.
Though, Lucifer did ask what happened and you just told him about Adam and how Adam is a little shit and you're basically over him.
You two bonded over your hate for heaven.
And eventually two months later you got together and let's say, Lucifer is certainly a better lover than that piece of shit Adam.
Let's just say Lucifer made you feel the pleasure you haven't properly experienced.
Lucifer did make sure to show it off to Adam's face when he fought the man.

you and daryl are smoking out the window when rick walks in.
"what do you two think you're doin'?"
mid hit, you almost choke at the sight of the sheriff. breathing in deeply to prevent yourself from wheezing, you pass the joint to daryl as cooly as you can after that hit.
daryl grunts. "buzzkill."
"how quick on your feet are you two right now?" rick questions, blue eyes dark and annoyed.
"we're not on watch." you say in a matter-of-fact way.
"no," rick agrees, "you're not. thank god." he runs a hand through his chocolate curls hurriedly.
"glenn's got it," you assure him, offering him a smile at the same time. "you should sit with us. you don't have to have any, drink one of the beers we brought back." you gesture to the full six packs leaning against the wall, branded with the faded logo of the brewery you guys had picked clean the other day while looking for supplies.
"he doesn't know how to relax," daryl tells you with a scowl.
neither do you, you think, but you just frown and shake your head. "rick, c'mon," you croon from your seat by the window.
"yeah, and shut the door," daryl barks.
rick turns and shuts the door lightly. surprisingly, he does what you suggested and picks up a six pack, errantly dropping it by the foot of the loveseat you're cozy on. he takes up the seat next to you, dark stained bottle in hand.
you grin. this is so not how you expected things to go. usually, rick was all pissed off and disappointed about the fact that you guys were getting high of all things. beside you, he twists on the bottle cap. high and focused on his hands, you watch them struggle against the aluminum cap, tensing and unclenching. with a huff, he uses his white t-shirt to grip the bottle again to no avail. the older man looks up from his ordeal to see you absolutely engrossed in him and smirks at you.
he says your name, breaking you out of what your high ass thought was a self-contained act of voyeurism. "wanna try?" he tilts the bottle your way.
you raise an eyebrow. "if you can't get it open, i don't think i can."
rick just smiles at you, like you said something funny. "i don't want you to use your hands, doll. try your teeth." he catches your confused expression. "remember when you did it at the bonfire a few weeks ago?"
suddenly, you recall standing outside around the fire with the group and accepting a request from maggie to open a beer bottle for her with your teeth. you could never say no to her - neither would you pass up the opportunity to hang out with a buzzed maggie for the night. so you showed everyone how to use your chompers to open the bottle. looking back, rick's eyes had never left you as you slipped the neck of the bottle into your mouth to quickly twist the cap off with your teeth. a move you later told carl not to try. you didn't want to be responsible for any dental damage.
you nod and take the bottle from his hands, sitting up in the loveseat. daryl watches, joint in hand, from the other side of the window while you take the bottle into your mouth and the cap at angle just between your molars. you feel two pairs of eyes on you as you struggle for a moment, the cap not coming loose as easily as you'd thought it would. usually, you could just maneuver it a bit for the cap to pop off, but now you're wondering if this cap is just too old, and you consider giving up. that is until suddenly, you angle your teeth just the right way and the cap comes free. it falls into your palm and you wipe the neck of the bottle off with your shirt for rick, just in case any of your spit got on it.
you try to hand the bottle back to him but rick shakes his head. "no," he gestures back to you. "i think after all that, you deserve the first sip."
who are you to say no?
you bring the bottle to your lips and drink, rick's gaze still on you. you consider chugging the entire thing but first of all, that would be rude and second of all, you're not at college anymore. wiping your mouth with the sleeve of your henley, you pass the bottle back to rick who takes a long, ginger sip as you free your hair from your ponytail and settle deeper into the loveseat.
you remember daryl's there when he offers you the halfway done joint. you want to turn it down but suddenly you're craving more. as the skunky smoke fills the air and drains out the window, you start to even crave a beer. you wouldn't mind getting crossed right now; getting a good mix of buzzed and stoned like in your college days back before the world went to shit. it was a nice way to relax, and it wasn't like you were neglecting your responsibilities.
after that hit, you're zoning out more and more. you had set up the cd player with a lynyrd skynyrd album daryl'd found in a record store with you. they weren't your favorite rock artists, but you guys could've been listening to worse bands in the apocalypse after all. you loosely follow the lyrics of one of their songs while daryl finishes off the joint.
"where'd you even get that?" rick asks, breaking the silence.
"you know some places you would get shot for asking that, 'fore all this?" daryl had told you when you'd asked him that.
"house down the road." daryl answers between puffs. "looks like they were tryna' get ahead of that medical shit."
you snicker. the story was true but without seeing those folks, you really didn't know what kind of operation they had going on. the way daryl phrased it though was a nice way to phrase it to a cop. better than we just found it.
"and you'd smoke it without knowing where it came from?" rick inquires, hand wrapped around the dark bottle.
"we know where it came from," you speak up from in between them. "it came from that house's backyard."
he repeats what he asked daryl.
"there could be anthrax in your beer."
that's when you realize you're super high.
rick doesn't have the opportunity to be confused because he's laughing and suddenly you're giggling in his face. he doesn't take it as an accident when you lean forward and fall into his lap on the loveseat. in fact, he takes the opportunity to lift your chin up, saying, "silly girl," and flipping you over to sit on his lap.
"wanna finish my beer, baby?" he offers it to you, holding it up to your lips.
"i don't need it," you reply but your words are cut off when the bottle breaches your lips anyway and you gulp down the drink. beer wasn't your favorite beverage but, in the apocalypse, beggars really couldn't be choosers. he takes the empty bottle from you and sets it on the end table before leaning back up to connect your lips.
you lean into the kiss as he pulls you closer in his lap. the satisfying pressure on your ass from his squeezing has you hazy minded and wishing he would speed up now that you realize what's happening.
then you remember daryl, the one who you'd originally been hanging out with. you hadn't even planned on seeing rick tonight.
you look up from rick towards the auburn-haired man who was ashing the joint out the window. you frown. isn't that what the ash tray on the windowsill is for? you give him a look that says come here and he walks towards the loveseat, sharing a look with rick that has the men positioning you in their favorite way.
you move willingly; they pull you, pliant and eager to please - eager to just do what someone else says and relax. the joint was supposed to help you shut off your brain after a long day but now you can only think about being pressed in between the two pent up men on the loveseat with you. rick has your bottoms off now and is two fingers deep inside of you when you start helping daryl undo his jeans.
"you feelin' ready or do you need more, baby?" your leader asks you, lips bruising your shoulder.
you shake your head. "i don't need any more fingers." you clarify. "wanna feel your big cock inside of me," you blurt out. usually, it takes you a bit to warm up and they're the ones who talk filthy but tonight you're feeling a little less inhibited.
he raises an eyebrow with condescension. "sure you can handle it, doll? last time i thought i broke you."
you snort. "i think the proper word is reset."
you feel a low rumble from rick's chest and he gently lifts your hips to remove his fingers and lower you onto his cock. you whine at the blunt intrusion but the more you grind your hips down into him, the better it feels, especially once you find a good rhythm. you're pretty sure rick's dick is way bigger than it should be but that doesn't stop you from letting him stuff you whenever you two get the chance to sneak away. it was even more rare to find the time for all three of you to be together like this. speaking of, daryl is standing on your side, dick in hand now that it's been freed from the confine of his pants, looking down at you with darkened eyes.
"wanna finish me off, baby?" he mocks and you roll your eyes, opening your mouth for him as rick bucks into you.
he gladly accepts and just like that, you can feel rick smirking as he fucks into you, barely letting you hold on as he drags your hips up and down. he hijacked your smoke session and it ended just the way he wanted. typical.
even more typical when he makes you switch positions so he can finish in your mouth, not taking his eyes off you while daryl lines himself up with your sopping entrance. rick couldn't help but twitch in your mouth watching how you reacted to daryl's cock in your freshly pounded pussy. his face tenses as he nears his orgasm, hands in your soft tousled hair while you take him in your throat so well. he's ready to just let go, he knows you can handle it, after all he knows you can get off more than a bottle cap with your mouth.

it seemed a lot of people liked the brother-in-law merle headcanons and a couple of people like the idea of uncle merle, so... let's talk about how you and daryl make merle an uncle :)
─•~❉᯽❉~•──•~❉᯽❉~•──•~❉᯽❉~•─
• you get pregnant not long after the group settles in alexandria
• merle keeps his distance from you while you're pregnant
• your hormones are all over the place, you go from laughing to crying at the drop of a dime, and any time he opens his mouth around you, he's always saying the wrong thing
• daryl has to play mediator so that you don't kill him, even though sometimes daryl considers doing it himself
• like when merle mentioned how big you were getting during your second trimester... *sigh*
• you cried
• daryl snapped
• it was... not a good day
• so he stays away for the most part, asking daryl when he wants to know how you're doing. he occasionally brings you some snacks that he must have stolen from the pantry, but you're always too hungry to care about how he got them
• first time merle actually calls you his sister out loud is after you've given birth and he holds his niece for the first time
• "atta girl, baby sister. you did real good."
• he is BEAMIIIINNGGG
• his eyes are just a little wet because the air is dry, that's all...
• he had wanted a nephew so bad, but the second he sees her, his heart grows three times it's size
• he was convinced that dixons could only make boys, but here he is holding a little dixon girl, daryl's babygirl, and she's the most precious thing he's ever seen
• constant jokes about needing a paternity test
• "i'm just saying, that nose is lookin' more like mine than yours, maybe your girl slipped into the wrong bed one night-" "shut the hell up, merle"
• merle always gives you a little wink to show he's just being an ass and not actually accusing you of such a thing
• which daryl knows. it doesn't annoy him any less, though
• never allowed to babysit EVERRRR. if your daughter isn't with aunt carol or aunt maggie, then she's at the grimes house. merle always has choice words about it
• okay, well... he babysits a couple times. and your daughter was returned back each time covered in dirt. one time merle carries her up to the door with wet pant legs pulled up to her knees and bits of leaves still strewn in her hair
• "oh... you had a fun time with uncle merle, huh?" "damn right she did, mamas. taught 'er how to catch frogs. babydoll, tell yer mama what a frog says!" "bib-bit!" "she's learnin'."
• saying the name merle is too complicated for your daughter's limited articulation, so she just calls him 'unca' while she's learning to talk.
• when your daughter DOES start to articulate...
• "son of a bitch!" "bitch!" "ha! that was good! wait- nah, nah, don't say that- aw, shit..." "shit!" "no!"
• he refuses to own up to it
• "merle! why's my daughter cursin' like a fuckin' sailor?" "well, darleena, sounds to me like she's gettin' it from you!"
• he's the favorite uncle (after aaron - your daughter adores aaron)
• rick's lowkey offended by it and tries to subtly bribe your daughter into saying she likes him more
• "uncle dick!"
• ...
• "... are you kiddin' me?" "don't know where she learned that from. must be a good judge'a character."
little bonus that doesn't have to do with uncle merle: it's really up to you, but i like to think that you and daryl would have agreed to name your daughter beth 🥺 you would have suggested the name, knowing that part of daryl never really healed after her death, and he would freeze. forgets how to breathe for a second as the memories wash over him. and then he would blink really fast as he feels his eyes start to water and he'd give you that soft little nod he does when he's trying not to cry. PLEASE- 😭

How Are Hands Attractive? (crowleyxreader)
Pronouns-She/Her
Word Count- 1,078
Summary- Reader is a witch and close friends with Aziraphale and works at the bookshop restoring books. Aziraphale asks Y/n for romantic advice for Nina and Maggie which leads to interesting covo about Crowley hands.
The day was stormy there was hardly anybody out on the street because of the terrible thunder and lightning. I was peacefully sipping her cold coffee and restoring an old spellbook that Aziraphale found. The sound of the rain was very soothing and I did not have to worry about Jim short for Gabriel bothering me because Aziraphale told him bookstores are closed on Wednesdays. Aziraphale on the other hand kept interrupting my work so he could get my opinion on most romantic situations for Nina and Maggie.
"Y/n what do you think is the most romantic thing?" Aziraphale asks.
" I don't know. Hmmm maybe leaving me alone so I can finish restoring this book in peace," I respond.
"Seriously, Y/n the book can wait! This matter is of life and death! You are sort of human so you should know more about these things than I." He says looking me very seriously in the eyes.
I sigh and very gently move the book to the side. I take a deep breath " I have personally always found hands very attractive-"
Aziraphale interrupted "How can hands be attractive? They are just helpful tools. Books always say it's the eyes that are the windows to the soul."
"Don't get me wrong eyes are pretty as well but I have always enjoyed hands they help us create they help us hold on to each other. Why did you even ask me anyway if you're just going to think I am wrong. Also, I think we both know I lack any experience or knowledge on romance." I respond annoyed.
Aziraphale smiles at Y/n, "I guess I was just curious." Then his eyes light up like something just clicked in his mind. I think if he was a cartoon a light bulb would have appeared above his head.
"Y/n!" He gasps and I give him an inquisitive look. "You are always staring at Crowley's hands so does that mean!!!"
I quickly crossed my arms across my chest denying the accusation profusely.
Crowley enters the bookshop closing a soaked umbrella, "Who is always staring at my hands."
Y/n's heart nearly pounds out of her chest and she nearly knocks over her coffee.
"Don't tell me you haven't noticed-" I quickly cut Aziraphale off
I come out from behind the desk I was working at and take the umbrella from Crowley, "Don't tell me that you were outside in this weather with an umbrella you could have got struck by lightning."
Crowley lifts his glasses down to look ME in the eyes "Are you serious? A demon struck by lightning would do nothing compared to the heat of Hell."
"How should I know I've never been to Hell," I whine.
Crowley kisses the top of my head and says "And you never will."
Aziraphale smiles a plotting a smile that scares me for what he is planning. He cups his chin with both hands and tilts his head "Crowley what do you find most romantic? Y/n has been telling me what she finds most romantic to help Nina and Maggie. I can see she has quite the type. I think we might even know the guy."
Crowley's face seems to turn sour at Aziraphale probably at the notion of discussing romance so I try to assure him it is unneeded to chime in. "Please ignore him he has been like this all day. He has not let me get a single thing done today."
Instead, he completely ignores me and walks up to Aziraphale, "So what does this man that Y/n fancies have for qualities that make her swoon."
"No, I can't say that would be betraying her trust," Aziraphale puts a hand on his chest and makes a big show of it like he didn't just start this whole mess.
"Come on Angel we are all friends here! Right Y/n? What can you tell the Angel that you can't tell me," he pouts.
"You bring up a great point, Crowley! Y/n can certainly tell you about the man she fancies I don't see a reason she could not! Let me start off I know she loves this man's hands she is always staring at them it is so obvious." Aziraphael smiles brightly and if my glare back could kill he would be dead.
Crowley circles me like prey as if my answer could cure him from hunger. "I've never noticed our little sorceress staring at hands that's very impolite to stare you know."
He calls me a nickname he uses for me frequently as he knows it annoys me. "You know what's impolite to spill others secrets Aziraphale" I glare.
Aziraphale straightens his bowtie, "You never said it was a secret if you had I would not have said a peep. I am very good at secrets you know"
"The thing is I just don't understand why there is anything to hide from your good old pals!" Crowley interrupts. "Unless this guy is someone unworthy of our sorceress's heart. Then in that case Aziraphale would have a duty to tell me."
"Do not be concerned this man I have known longer than anyone. No one could compete with him he is very kind." He quickly assures Crowley.
Crowley started to look like that time when Aziraphale took Gabriel under his protection, "So he is an angel... those are the only beings you have known for the longest. I swear to Hell if it's Gabriel he is not kind Aziraphael you have no idea what he said to me when I was you! I can not believe you let him stay here! He is worse than any demon!"
I quickly put my hand on Crowley's shoulder, "It is not Gabriel I would never do that to you."
Crowley's eyes softened as he looked into your eyes but only for a second before they turned into confusion, "What other angel do you even know on a personal level!"
I saw no choice but to come clean, "It's you! You idiot!"
I took a deep breath to prepare myself for the heartbreak because I am no celestial being who will be around forever. I am just a witch I am really not that different from an ordinary human. But the heartbreak never came instead he held my face and kissed me deeply.
I was stunned speechless and he smirked "So you think my hands are romantic you say."
Bonus-
Aziraphael- Now both of you thank me! I also accept books as thank-yous Y/n has a list of the books of that I am on the hunt for! I also made photocopies of the list so you can carry the list with you at all times as a reminder.
Y/n- Shut up, Angel!
Crowley- Thank you, Angel

That comma
Or, connections my brain makes when I don't sleep well for over a week because of a cold - read at your own risk :)
"I went to one meeting ten years ago. They were wittering on about the Christmas lights and passed a resolution condemning the improper use of apostrophes on signs in windows." (Mr. Arnold, s2e5)
This line always makes me laugh because I get super twitchy about certain grammar and punctuation errors. But errors happen, and you can usually tell what someone meant vs. what they wrote, so you correct it in your mind based on what you presume they meant and move on because there are bigger things to worry about in the world. Right?
Maybe we shouldn't always be so quick to presume and move on, though. Sometimes, things are supposed to be written a certain way for a reason. That reason is important, so we're taught the right way to write that thing. We all learn how to do it, and it's generally not something we screw up because there are consequences for doing it wrong. Like an address, for example. Addresses tell something or someone where to go. Maybe to a pub called The Resurrectionist - that one's at 66 Goat Gate in Edinburgh, right? It said so on the record that Maggie gave Aziraphale:
The Resurrectionist
66, Goat Gate
Edinburgh
Except - there's this annoying little comma in there that I've been ignoring for months. Right after the 66. Exactly where it shouldn't be - not if you're writing a street address. So I'm going to stop ignoring it and ask a question.
Is this actually a street address? I'm not questioning that the pub is in Edinburgh - that's well-established. It's that middle line - 66, Goat Gate - that I'm not sure of anymore. I'm having trouble making excuses for that comma.
If it isn't a street address, then what is it? I'm not sure, and I don't know if we have all the information to figure it out. My sleep-deprived brain has come up with a couple of crazy questions and ideas though. Starting with - what if the Clue is actually multiple Clues? What if we've just been thinking about the pub, but that second line contains a separate clue or clues about Edinburgh, so that Aziraphale Knows Where [He's] Going? (see what I did there?)
These ideas do require an assumption that we shouldn't just take season 2 at face value, but they aren't tied to any specific theories like time loops, dreams, etc.
This post from onceuponathyme about references to the number 66 in the show and promo posters, and gallup24's comment that the press pass in Newspaperman!Aziraphale's hat also has the number 66 on it got me thinking about whether the "address" and the hat are meant to be connected. The references to the number 66 could be an easter egg - the Book of Revelations is the 66th book of the Bible. But is it an in-show clue, too? Is the 66 on Everyday single telling Aziraphale to wear it on his hat, maybe as a signal to someone? ("The clarinet, it makes beautiful music.")
Moving on to Goat Gate. It could still be the name of a road. I have two other ideas though:
We've already seen goats turned into crows. Gate is an old term that can mean road or street. Goat Gate = Crow Road? (I don't know that I love this, but I'll put it out there anyway.)
There's also the symbolism of goats tied to Hell, Satan, and Crowley in particular - drconstellation has a lovely meta about sheep vs goats, so I'm not going to go any farther into that. But I do want to stay on Crowley, and the second place we see Aziraphale - the cemetery.
Not quite this, but I can find a gif for just about every other part of the scene except for the line I'm looking for. The one where after a bunch of hilarious noises, he says, "Do I sound like a goat?"
And then, a short while later...
The ground opens up (a gate to Hell?), and Crowley disappears, pulled down to Hell. And then we get one continuous shot of Aziraphale turning around in that spot that starts in 1827 and ends in present day.
We still don't know exactly why Aziraphale went to the cemetery. Maybe "Goat Gate" is the clue that sent him there?
One final thing I noticed in that episode that feels a little off to me now - Crowley's reaction when Aziraphale calls and asks him if he remembers Mr. Dalrymple. "Oh yeah, not a doctor, a mister! Whatever happened to him?" It's surprisingly normal and relaxed, considering what happened at the end of the night, isn't it?

TODAY WAS A FAIRYTALE
synopsis > you might be in love with carl and he might be in love with you too, all you know is that time slows down when hes around.
pairing > carl grimes x fem!reader
wc > 0.9k
warnings > none really, fluff, mentions of sex (one sentence at the end), kissing/smooching.
notes > my first story!!! be honest if it sucks, the ending is pretty bad i literally did not know how to end it
Being a teenager in the apocalypse was weird. You didn't exactly get a "normal teen experience" as Maggie said when talking to her about him.
It was weird you had felt all tingly when he came up to hug you, talk to you, when your hands accidentally brushed when he was handing Judith to you, honestly everything he did gave you that weird sensation in your guts. And you did not like it one bit.
"Mags, I just don't understand what's going on. Oh my gosh, am I sick? Am I gonna die? What am I gonna do if I die? Maggie don't let me die!" You panicked grabbing her shoulders and over-dramatically shaking her. "Y/N calm down, you're not sick, or dying. You're just in love," The way she said it so dreamily made you recoil.
"I am not in love with Carl, are you crazy? Only a crazy person could be in love with him. He's weird and annoying and he snores, Maggie he snores! He also does this thing in his sleep where he talks but its not full sentences or like blabs, he just says random sentences, honestly its kind of cute. Oh my god. I'm in love with Carl, aren't I?" You cut yourself off eyes widening in realization.
"Holy shit! You're in love with Carl?" An unexpected voice laughed, popping up behind you. "Glenn! Leave her alone!" Maggie smacked his arm, "I'd suggest that you go tell him, being in the apocalypse means teen love is hard, you know back when I was a teenager-" "Thanks for the advice, Glenn." You quickly blurted out running away to avoid hearing about Glenns teen life for the hundredth time.
"Carl!" You called, seeing him leaving the pig pen. "Yes?" "I don't really know how to say this 'cause I'm really scared of ruining our friendship, but I think I like you?" It wasn't supposed to come out as a question, it just had. "Like, like like me?" He asked raising an eyebrow at your giggles when he said 'like' three times in a row.
"Yeah, I like, like you. I'm honestly not really sure I've never had a crush before, I talked to Maggie and Glenn and they both told me the way I'm feeling is what having a crush is like." You shrugged looking away the giggles had been replaced by that feeling again.
"Well, I was gonna ask- Can I be honest?" He mumbled smiling a little. You nodded, frowning upon not seeing a smile or a happy reaction like you hoped. "Okay, so, I have a little bit of a crush on you too, and it's been kind of obvious to everyone for a while, but I didn't want to say anything just in case you didn't feel the same." Carl admitted, causing you to let out a breath you didn't even know you were holding, but you were still rendered speechless, not knowing the right words to say.
"So does that mean we're a couple?" He asked voice wavering in nerves, fidgeting with his fingers as if you were going to say no. "Yes! I mean, uhm, of course." You exclaimed calming down, a smile crossing both of your faces.
"Okay, good. I was worried I'd make things awkward, and you wouldn't want to be friends anymore. Do you want to go somewhere quiet, just the two of us?" Carl mentioned nodding his head slightly at Maggie and Glenn in the distance watching the both of them. "Of course, silly!" You say a giant grin on your face grabbing his hand and dragging him towards the cell block you guys are staying in.
"So, is this your first relationship?" He quizzed interlacing your fingers walking into his cell dragging you with him.
"Duh, we were in elementary school when the world went to crap!" You said smile never leaving your face, sitting on his bed dragging him next to you. "Am your first, you know," he said trailing off blush covering his cheeks. "Yes Carl, you are my first boyfriend." Your smile increasing at the foreign word.
At first, he just smiles back gazing into your eyes, then his eyebrows start to furrow as he thinks about something, "Hey, that means we can kiss now, right?" "Carl!" You squeal a crimson blush engulfing your face, shielding your face into his shoulder.
"Oh, so now you want me to do the initiating? No problem." He says brushing the loose hairs out of your face leaning down towards you, noses almost touching. You freeze eyes glued open; you don't know how to react. Your now boyfriend is about to kiss you. You can feel his breath on your face as he leans closer, then suddenly, "Carl!" you both hear a familiar voice ring out, "Carl! Im coming in," the voice now revealing himself as Rick walked in just as you two separated a blush coating both your faces. "Well looks like someone caught us," Carl points out the obvious. "I'm gonna go find Beth!" You squeak out embarrassment lacing your tone, as you squeeze by Rick.
Carl watches you leave offering a small wave and smile as a parting, turning his attention onto his dad he shakes his head as he stutters out, "Don't you know how to knock?" "I did! But clearly you didn't hear me over all your smooching." Rick protested, he hadn't knocked why would he there were no doors on the cells only curtains but you couldn't exactly knock on that but his thinking, was quickly cut short by Carl grumbles.
"This isn't any of your business Dad." "Whatever, as long as your being safe and have her consent." Rick retaliated putting his hands on his hips like a disappointed mom. "Ew dad, it was just a kiss! And I did have consent!" Carl grimaced upon hearing those words it wasn't like they were having sex not yet at least.

"You know, no matter how many times you look at your watch, it doesn't make time go faster."
Aziraphale put his pocket watch back in his jacket and replied to Nina in a tone he intended to be casual, "I don't know what you mean."
The coffee-shop owner chuckled and replied, "Just that you've just looked at your watch for the tenth time in less than a minute. It's not going to make him come any faster."
Maggie whispered, "Nina, leave him alone."
Nina nudged her shoulder as she replied, "You're no fun..."
The Backroom owner said softly, "I know what it's like to wait impatiently for your loved one to come to you."
Nina's face softened as she took Maggie's hand in hers and replied, "Okay, I'll stop."
Then, looking at a spot behind Aziraphale, she added, "Oh, Aziraphale, I think you can stop looking at your watch."
The angel turned his head immediately, then waved at Crowley to show him where they were.
He was pleased to see the demon smile as soon as their eyes met, and watched as he approached, making his way through the crowded pub.
Arriving in front of him, Crowley greeted everyone before leaning over and softly pressing his lips to the angel's before sitting down in the empty chair beside him. Then he immediately took Aziraphale's hand in his and placed their intertwined hands on his lap.
The demon and angel smiled at each other, then Aziraphale asked, "How was your aft-"
"Damn."
Aziraphale and Crowley looked at Nina, who looked at them with an annoyed expression.
Maggie said with a smile, "Be a good sport, honey, you bet and you lost."
Seeing the confused looks on the faces of the angel and the demon, Maggie explained, "Nina was sure you wouldn't kiss to greet each other and I wasn't. We made a bet, and thanks to you, I won."
Aziraphale laughed softly and Crowley asked with interest, "And what did you win?"
Maggie smiled broadly as she replied, "The loser rubs the winner's feet and buys the next round."
Crowley chuckled and said cheekily, "Oh, then I'll order one of the more expensive Taliskers."
Nina threatened him with her finger, "You!"
When the mood calmed down a bit, Aziraphale asked, "Why did you think we wouldn't kiss?"
Nina shrugged and replied, "You don't seem like the type to have visible displays of affection in public."
Aziraphale nodded before replying, "You're not just any public, you're our friends, we have nothing to hide from you."
He raised their entwined hands to his lips and planted a kiss there to illustrate his point.
Crowley muttered under his breath, "Angel..."
Nina sneered and pointed at the demon, "Ooooh, you're blushing, you're embarrassed, aren't you? Admit it!"
"Me? I'll show you who's embarrassed."
He turned to Aziraphale and, after wrapping his arm around his neck, pressed his lips to the angel's in a kiss that lasted much longer than the hello kiss they'd shared and left no doubt, even to a stranger, about the nature of their relationship.
As they broke apart, they heard Nina say to Maggie, "Okay, okay, I'll buy the next two rounds."
The angel and demon looked at each other and began to laugh out loud, soon joined by Nina and Maggie.

Sweet Interruptions
A/N: thanks so much @matilda4eve for this request which you can find here 💕image creds @Emotionalady on pinterest | i had so much fun writing this and i really hope you guys enjoy because as usual i was up in the earliest hours of the morning writing this 😭
summary: Y/N and Daryl are both secretly pining for each other, and it takes all manner of 'interruptions' to bring them together.
era: season 3-4, prison era
pairing: Daryl Dixon x fem!reader
words: 2.3k
warnings: suggestive, Merle being annoying, basically no warnings ^_^
The Georgian wind was hot against your bare shoulders as you stood in the prison yard. It didn't go unnoticed by the other residents how, like always, you appeared lost in your thoughts as you idly gazed at the archer who was working a considerable distance away. Despite having spoken, maybe, two words to Daryl, you were already in deep. You watched his arms flex, those irresistibly tanned biceps contract and relax as if he were a sculptor shaping a beautiful piece of art, when in reality he was simply tweaking his motorcycle. You admired the way his unkempt chocolate hair framed his pretty face, and, when you caught sight of those gorgeous cerulean eyes that seemed invisible to everyone else, it felt enough to just look at him, without needing any attention from him whatsoever. You adored all of him, not just his appearance, and simply from observation you could tell he was a troubled man. How you dreamt of wiping away those tears you knew Daryl hid away somewhere deep inside, reserved for those cold nights spent alone. You dreamt of holding him tight, feeling his big arms wrap around your waist, kissing him anywhere you could reach and-
You were enraptured. And today, it would take some groundbreaking event to drag you from your wild imagination. Just the sight of him working on his bike had you rubbing your thighs together. You loved the way his brows furrowed in concentration, and you couldn't help but imagine him doing other things with those skilled hands.
With blown-out pupils and parted lips, you had lost all sense of where you were and what you might look like gawking at the archer. A forceful hand on your shoulder made you practically jump out of your skin as you took in your surroundings in an instant. You turned your body sharply to face whoever had, somewhat rudely, in your opinion, interrupted your typical daydreams. You recognized the woman and thank God it was a friend, not someone with too many questions about what you were doing, you thought, now considering that your staring might have been a little excessive. It was Maggie, and that familiar Southern drawl reached your ears before you could register the mischievous look she was giving you.
"Aren't ya 'sposed to be workin' out here?" she said, with a very obvious smirk painting the subtle lines on her face. When you realised that she could see straight through you, you decided it was no use denying your little crush any longer. Rubbing your hand on the back of your clammy neck, you spoke quietly, smirking a little yourself.
"It's not like I got something better to do," you said, blushing.
"Well," she began, stringing out the syllable in a playful tone, "you could be helpin' me insteada' standin' out here like a deer in headlights."
You hummed, "Or, I could stay right here." you said with a giggle.
Sure, everybody knew about your infatuation, and sure, Daryl had noticed too. Unbeknownst to you, he had caught himself stealing glances at you too. He noticed the little things, the kind of things any other lust-filled guy wouldn't see. The silkiness of your hair, the precious flare in your cheeks after spending a day in the sun, your beautiful wide smile, the way your cheeks crease when you smile, the gleam in those bewitching eyes when you're looking at him. You were so... sweet. That's it, sweet. If he could define your being in one word, that would be it. Sweet. So sickeningly sweet, Daryl concluded that he'd never met anyone so soft and pure in his life before.
Sometimes, he hated it. What was a girl like you doing in a world like this? Surely, he thought, it would catch up to you soon enough and you'd die at the hands of-
Daryl could hear his brother's voice ringing in his ears.
Ya gon' protect her, lil' bro? She sure needs it, pretty thing won't survive long on her own.
A part of him feared that the memory of Merle's cynicism was right. Except, unlike other times, he wanted to protect you. For the first time, the idea of making a girl feel safe didn't come as a burden. The desire to keep you from harm came unfamiliar to him. It was a strange feeling that, despite the barriers he built that were supposed to guard him from these superficial affections, began to pierce his thoughts and corrupt his selfish notions. It started in the daytime, when he found himself glimpsing at you from a distance, then thinking about you, what you might feel like under his hands, so deliciously forbidden. Then thoughts of you entered his mind at night, and waves of guilt didn't cease to wash over him every time he buried his calloused hands beneath the rough denim of his jeans.
Your presence was angelic, he couldn't bring himself to deny that. If only he could work up the courage just to talk to you.
She don't wantchu, baby brother! What's a cute girl like her gon' wanna do with ya?
Nah, this time, Merle was wrong. Daryl had seen the way you looked at him, the way the corners of your mouth tugged up in a slightly mischievous grin when the two of you locked eyes across the room, right? Yes. This time, his anxiety and self-consciousness were not going to get the better of him.
The next day, Daryl's fingers tightly gripped the metal hand railing of the prison staircase, threatening to turn white if he didn't loosen his grasp. He was staring you down, having lost a little bit of the sudden confidence he found himself equipped with yesterday. Maybe he should talk to Rick, or Glenn? They were good with girls, right? Perhaps they'd offer the right advice for Daryl's foreign predicament.
Before Daryl could consider what he might say to the more 'experienced' men of the group, he was approached by Glenn, who adorned a beige button-up, black jeans, and a grin from ear to ear.
"Hey, man, why don't you just talk to her?" without really registering Glenn's words, Daryl was more focused on the sight of you in the corner of the dining area. Perched on a rusty metal seat, he couldn't shake the notion that you appeared so... out of place. Surrounded by those sporting worn clothes and sullen dispositions, you maintained a distinct luminescence that Daryl could only pine-
Shit. She's lookin' at me. An' I'm lookin' at her. An' what the fuck is Glenn saying?
"Uh- uhh, yeah," Daryl drawled. He turned sharply, and hoped it actually was a question to which he answered appropriately. The last thing he wanted was for everyone to think that the stoic hunter was crumbling under the gaze of a dead-girl-walking. It seemed, however, that he was too late.
"Look man, she obviously likes you and- and this world's too unpredictable not to tell her the truth about how you feel. I mean, look at what me and Maggie have." Daryl nodded. He somehow couldn't meet the other man's eyes. He agreed, though, that Glenn was right. In a world where love seemed like the most unattainable possibility, one look around this new residency revealed that love, however frivolous (and, dangerous), was blossoming all around. Glenn and Maggie, Judith, Tyreese and Karen, and ever-observant Daryl hadn't failed to notice the stolen glances between Rick and the newcomer Michonne. Maybe, despite the world outside the walls, Daryl could let himself love you. And let himself be loved by you.
With a pat on the shoulder and a nod goodbye, Daryl was left alone on the staircase with a grip on the rail a little looser than it was previously. At least, if he couldn't man up and straight up talk to you, he could find a way to show his love.
Show, don't tell, he decided.
ONE WEEK LATER Daryl stood in the prison yard, one leg swung over the seat of his bike, lost in the fond memory of a conversation you engaged him in the other day. He struggled even to remember what you spoke about. His thoughts were clouded with visions of you, the way your mouth looked when you smiled and talked at the same time, the way your eyes widened a little and your pupils expanded. Was that... just for him? Oh yes, that was it. He was going on a run and... you needed a new jacket, since you lost the old one during the transition from the farm to the prison, and now winter was approaching. Daryl was uncharacteristically nervous about whether you would like it, whether it would fit. Your sweet voice immediately snapped him out of his anxiety (which he had no idea how to handle) when you held up his gift and thanked him graciously.
"Hey, Daryl, I was... uhh- since you're visiting that old mall, I was just wondering if you could maybe pick up a jacket for me from a clothing store... or something? I lost mine and it's getting kinda cold... Don't bother if it's too much trouble!"
"Yeah, yeah, of course,"
You tried suppressing a little bit of shock after he agreed without a snarky remark, or without an irritated huff leaving his thin lips. As you stood rocking on your heels, you couldn't help but blush at the fact that his reaction was different for you than for everyone else.
Before Daryl could register the presence of a woman beside him and cease his musing for another day, he felt a brush of distinctly soft skin on the hand that rested on the seat of his bike. He turned to face whoever had just interrupted his romantic daze, preparing to brush them off as fast as he could, but- It was you. And were wearing that jacket. The one that he'd given to you. He almost melted at the sight and he had to compose himself before attempting to address you. He couldn't avoid, however, furrowing his brows and softening his eyes in the way you adored so.
"Uh, hey," he drawled, as his eyes wandered the lengths of your body and took in the sight of you, standing so close to him.
"Hey Daryl, I just... wanted to say thanks so much! I really appreciate you going out to get this for me," you said, softly and dreamily. You paused for a moment, averting your gaze down at your feet, contemplating how Daryl's eyes hadn't ceased studying your image since you approached him.
"I just wonder if there's anything I could do to return the favour?" Your wide eyes seemed to be speaking a different language, and Daryl could interpret only this;
I see the way you look at me,
I know you want me too,
Come inside.
"Nah, dun' worry 'bout it. Glad you like it."
"Alright, well, thanks anyway!" In that moment, you searched every cell of your body for the courage you needed to do what you were about to do. Rising up to your tiptoes, you swiftly but softly pecked a kiss on his cheek and began to quickly stride back to the prison entrance, before he had a chance to berate you.
"Hey, Y/N," he called out. You hummed in response, realising that you hadn't managed to make it as far as you wanted. A wave of guilt rushed through you, suddenly. It's not a big deal, it's just a kiss on the cheek, right?
"Rick said something about wanting us to talk later, you and me,"
"Rick did? Why later, why not now?"
Daryl was lost. He hadn't planned what to say next in this conversation. In truth, he just wanted you to stay, and if that meant succumbing to stuttering in front of you, then so be it.
"I, uhh- I dunno', I guess he thinks there's... things we oughta' discuss?"
One corner of your mouth tugged up when you realised just how utterly clueless Daryl really was. "Yeah, like what?" Let's see how he plays this one out, you thought.
"I dunno', unspoken stuff, I guess?" It was clear Daryl didn't know how to operate when attempting to vocalize his feelings. His glossy hair was falling over his eyes and framing his pretty face so perfectly, in a way that caught the last of the sunlight and lingered before it disappeared behind the trees.
You couldn't help yourself.
Approaching the archer, you removed your hands from the back pockets of your jeans and held eye contact for a moment. When his thin lips pressed together in what you recognised as a smile, you leaned in, pressing one hand to the side of his face and feeling the warmth of his flushed cheeks. Rising to your tiptoes once more, you closed the small distance between the two of you and waited for him to return the sweet kiss. It must have taken him a couple seconds to register what was happening because, when he did, you relaxed into the beautiful embrace of your tongues.
He tasted like pinewood, cinnamon, and stormy weather. It was delicious, and you couldn't get enough. When he allowed himself to place his hands on your hips, you felt the need for air rise up from the pit of your stomach to your throat. Placing your other hand on the back of Daryl's neck, you moved away slowly, not yet withdrawing from the closeness, and spoke,
"You can tell Rick that you're gonna come find me later."

The Other Woman | Rick Grimes
(fem!reader)
Summary: Rick consoles in you during troubles with his and Lori's relationship.
Warnings: [NSFW] smut, cheating, swearing, unprotected sex
It wasn't often that rainy spells hit the prison like this, especially since only days earlier you had been out working the farm land in the scorching heat. It took everyone by surprise, and people didn't know what to do with themselves, cooped up inside the walls of the prison all over again.
Tensions had been somewhat high recently, what with Rick and Lori's baby on the way and Glenn and Maggie fighting with each other, so the rainfall didn't particularly come at a convenient time. It wasn't exactly a happy little group bonding activity.
"Okay, pay attention to this part," you say, sat on the concrete floor of the prison with Carl, Rick's young boy. You hold up a semi-constructed origami swan.
"I am!" Carl laughs, working on a messy looking origami swan, but it looks like a swan nevertheless.
"Don't underestimate the skill that origami takes, kid," you chuckle, patting his head. "You might be handy with a gun but this is a whole new world."
He giggles and shuffles impatiently. "Just show me!"
"Fine," you grin. "So you see this part here?"
Carl nods as you point to one of the corners of the paper object.
"You have to fold it like this, in a way that it-"
You're interrupted when you hear your name called.
You turn around and see Rick walking towards you.
"Yeah?" You reply, twisting round to face him as you speak to him.
"I need some help." He states plainly. "Come with me."
"Can it wait, Dad?" Carl asks disappointedly. "My swan is nearly finished. I'm making it for Mom."
You could swear you see Rick wince at the mention of Carl's mother.
"There's time to finish it later, Carl." He drawls. "I need Y/N to come with me for now, though."
"Okay," he sighs. "Promise you'll help me finish later?"
"I promise," you smile, standing up and completing your swan as you do so. You lean over and hand it to him. "Have mine for now. Keep it safe." You wink and walk away, feeling a little guilty for having to leave him.
"What is it that can't wait?" You say to Rick, a little annoyed.
"Electrical problems on the other side of the building."
You nod. "And you needed me? Why not Glenn? He's been sat picking at the walls with boredom all day."
"I'm not in the mood to have my ears talked off." He states bluntly. "You get that more than anyone."
You smile softly to yourself. It's nice to know that Rick has chosen you because he wanted to, not because of convenience or practicality.
Yours and Rick's relationship was a strange one. You undoubtedly had feelings for him, but it felt strange knowing he was a married man. It would be easier for you to manage your feelings if he didn't flirt at times, or create unbearable tension, but he did (whether it was intentional or not). You just had to think of Lori and the baby. Maybe Rick just flirts for fun, he clearly has a life away from you to take care of.
But romantic feelings aside, you were good friends. Neither of you were good at communicating emotions, though, which is why Rick basically admitting he wants you to come fix the electrics with him is a good feeling, whether romantic or platonic. You trusted each other, you got each other and you didn't need words to communicate when facing walkers, problems in the prison or other issues. You like to think that it transfers into your personal relationship as well, but you can't be too sure.
You walk in comfortable silence for a few minutes, your hand instinctively placed on the knife in the holster on your belt in case of danger.
"You're good with him, you know." Rick says, breaking the silence.
"Hmm?" You ask.
"Carl." He clarifies. "You're good with him."
"He's a good kid," you smile. "Guess he has a good dad."
He frowns and shakes his head. "He deserves better parents."
You lose the smile on your face in response to his statement. "You know that's not true."
"Lori and I are a mess." He sighs, frustrated. "I'm glad the poor kid has you."
You grab his arm to stop him, and turn him to face you.
"Don't say shit like that." You snap. "I've seen how much you love him. The both of you. Don't let whatever is going on with you and Lori make you think you're anything other than the best father any kid could have."
He runs his hand over his jawline, tense and clearly stressed.
"I can barely be a father to Carl, what happens when I have another kid here?" His eyes water. "Me and Lori are on the brink of divorce, which..." He laughs humourlessly. "How does a divorce even work in the middle of a fucking apocalypse?"
You sigh and look at him intently as he talks to you. This is the most vulnerable you've ever seen him.
"I don't want to leave her, I mean I love her and I want our kid to have parents that are together." You nod understandingly while he explains. "Some stability in this world would be nice. But then every time I look at her I think-"
His voice breaks as he talks and you take his hand and grip it in support.
"I think of Shane. I think of them together I think of what-" he takes a deep breath and straightens his posture. "Of what I did to him. Of what he made me do to him."
He stops talking and looks at you in your eyes. You're not sure what to say and simply gaze at him empathetically, wanting him to know that you care and are here to listen to him.
Suddenly he breaks the eye contact, pulling his hand from yours and briskly walking ahead. You run slightly to catch up with him as he walks and it's clear that he wants to leave the previous conversation behind, so you continue in silence yet again.
After a moment you decide to speak up.
"Before all this," you begin, "I was a-" you pause and laugh a little. "I was a therapist."
Rick turns his head to you and you feel satisfied when you see a miniscule smile on his face, no matter how small.
"Really?" He asks, thinking you're messing with him.
"Really." You assure and he scoffs, entertained.
"Years of training, and probably hundreds of patients...I thought I could be prepared for any situation." You continue. "Turns out a zombie apocalypse takes a toll on a person. I don't know how the fuck to react to any expressed emotion anymore."
You continue walking, and can see Rick's gaze on you out of the corner of your eye as you talk to him.
"I have all the...all the knowledge of what shit means," you say, tapping your temple with your index finger, "but in principle, I'm so lost. I think I'd make the worst therapist possible now."
Rick chuckles and it's a noise that lights up an inexplicably pleasant feeling in the depths of your chest.
"If you met me two years ago," you laugh, "I would've given you some fucking great advice."
"I'd rather just know you're really listening," he admits, "I don't want that generic therapist bullshit." He shoots you a teasing glance and you roll your eyes. "No offense."
"None taken." You say, and think deeply for a moment. "I guess we've all lost certain parts of ourselves, but maybe it makes us better people in the end."
Rick doesn't reply at first, as you arrive at the room you intended to reach.
"That's an optimistic way of looking at it." He says it in a way that leads you to believe he is not fully convinced.
"Maybe optimism is all we have anymore," you exhale. "And that's coming from a die hard pessimist."
Rick opens a cupboard in the corner and pulls out a tool kit while you open the circuit board.
"I don't know what the fuck I'm doing here, Rick." You say.
"Just do what I tell you." He smirks.
"Yes, sir." You laugh playfully.
You help Rick as he guides you through the actions required to fix the electrical problems. When you're both nearly done, he lets you finish the job, and when you do so, some lights on the machine flick on.
"There we go," Rick says.
"Maybe I have a new career ahead of me," you grin, swivelling around to face Rick behind of you, but when you face him, he's not smiling back. "Are you okay?"
His gaze burns through you as you stand there waiting for a reply. There is a look in his eyes that you can't quite place, but then he turns his back to you, breaking the moment.
"Rick?" You're worried when he doesn't reply to your question. You walk up behind him and place your hand on his shoulder. "What's wro-"
You're cut off when he turns around and takes you by surprise, pressing his lips to yours. Before you have time to react, he presses you up against the nearest wall, your top hitching up a little. He removes his lips from yours to observe your reaction and you stare at him longingly for a split second before continuing the kiss yourself, pulling his face into yours passionately.
Months of tension has built up into this heated moment, and at the flick of a switch, it is being released. His hands roam your body before finding a firm grip on your hips, pulling you close to him.
"I've wanted this since I first laid eyes on you in Atlanta," Rick whispers into the kiss and your breath hitches at the admission.
"Rick," you say, almost panting as he grins himself up against you.
It all moves so fast as he goes to slide his hands up your shirt, squeezing your breasts through your bra. You place your own hands on his toned chest, trying to keep yourself steady as his tongue explores your mouth.
He pulls away from the kiss and you miss the contact, but then realise he is reaching for the hem of your top. He pulls it upwards and begins to expose your torso, but you stop him.
"Here?" You gasp, wanting to continue with this, but assuming you would remain as fully clothed as possible. What if someone came looking for you? What if walkers managed to get in? "Leave it on."
He looks at you with irresistible eyes. "I want to see your body," he pleads and you nod immediately, allowing him to remove your top. Caution flies to the wind as soon as he gives you that look. It makes you feel like the only girl in the world. It melts you to the core.
You unbutton his shirt until it's loosely hanging on so that you can get access to his chest, running your hands up and down, exploring his skin. As you do so, he unhooks your bra and throws it to the floor, making you feel incredibly vulnerable in front of him.
"God, you're fucking beautiful," he mutters and you feel yourself blushing under his intense stare. You'd thought about this situation many times before, and every time you felt guilty, or conflicted, but in reality when it was happening, there was no reasoning or logic. No thoughts passed through your head other than how badly you wanted the man in front of you.
He unbuttons your pants and slides his hands down into your panties. He has you unbelievably wet, and he used this wetness to spread onto your swollen clit, increasing the pace of your panting with every circle of the bundle of nerves. He has you in the palm of his hand, literally and figuratively, as he uses one hand on your hip to press you against the wall and keep you in place, and the other to pay attention to your core. He slowly slides his index and middle fingers inside you as you writhe and moan quietly, using his thumb to continue to stimulate your clit while he holds his fingers inside you. His motions speed up and he begins to move his fingers in and out of you, pushing deeper every time and curling as they do so. He continues to whisper praises and compliments to you as you come nearer and nearer to you release.
As your moans grow louder, he takes your mouth in a rough kiss, biting gently on your lip. His fingers repeatedly hit the exact right spot inside you, and combined with the repeated stimulation of you clit it becomes too much. The knot that had built up in your stop finally unclenches as you call out his name, a wave of pleasure blinding you.
"Rick!" you call out and he groans deeply in response.
"That's it," he whispers as you come down from your orgasm, wrapping your arms around his neck to steady yourself. You kiss him again as you regain a little of your strength, but soon enough you're ready for more, and teasingly trail your finger down his chest, abdomen and to the bulge in his pants. You palm the bulge momentarily, but you can't resist any longer and unzip his fly, wanting to release him from his jeans.
You pull his length out of his boxers and gasp at the sight of how big he is. Even in your dreams it wasn't like this. You stroke his hard length as he grabs your jeans, unbuttons them and pulls them down, just below your bottom.
Wasting no time, he lines himself up at your entrance, teasing you as he pushes in only the tip. You bury your head in his neck in anticipation, pressing little kisses into his skin, clinging onto his shoulders.
"Please," you whimper and without question he pushes himself in fully. You both let out a simultaneous moan as you revel in the feeling of each other's bodies being connected in such a way.
"Fuck," he pants holding himself inside you and trying to maintain his balance. He grabs your jaw and takes your head from out of the crook of his neck. He looks you in the eyes, holding your face in place, as he takes his cock nearly all the way out of you and slams it back into you in one smooth stroke.
You cry out in ecstacy and your eyes roll to the back of your head. After that initial movement, he starts to build up the pace, moving in and out of you steadily. He lifts your legs up so that he is carrying your weight and fucks you passionately into the wall. Your lips meet every so often in a messy kiss as your bodies slam together, filling the room with obscene noises.
His lips move from your lips to your jawline to your neck as one of his hands find your breasts. With his hand he squeezes your breast while circling your nipple with his thumb, observing closely how your body reacts to everything he does to you, and what it is that you like.
He begins to kiss the skin of your neck, sucking and biting. You both know that he's going to leave marks but neither of you are in a place to stop. Plus, you'd be lying if you said the though of him marking you as his didn't turn you on.
The continuous movements in and out of you bring on that familiar feeling yet again, but in a way that you've never felt before. As it grows nearer you're thankful Rick has hold of you because your whole body feels like jelly. One more push and you're unravelling in his grasp, calling out his name. You don't know how loud you're being, but you don't care. You close your eyes as pleasure fills your body. He slows down through your orgasm, but as soon as he sees you coming around again, he speeds up his strokes again.
You want to speak, to thank him, to say anything, but your mind has turned to mush. All you know of in this moment is the pleasure this beautiful man before you is responsible for. You cling onto his toned biceps, veins prominent on his forearms.
"Harder," you barely manage to utter and he let's out a breathless chuckle, following your command.
Both his hands are now gripping onto your ass, and the warmth of the contact strongly contrasts the coldness of the concrete wall against your upper back.
He has so effortlessly brought you near to orgasm again, and you know he won't be able to hold on this time, his composure slipping.
His thrusts become rougher, faster, more primal. He's so close and his body is taking over his mind. Not that you mind. The strength of his body is like nothing you've ever felt before.
A few final thrusts and you're throwing your head back, moaning obscenely.
"Rick!" You yell. "Fuck!"
Your knees buckle, ecstacy fills your veins, your stomach clenches and one push against your g-spot sends your whole world crumbling around you. White blots fill your vision and your limbs feel like electricity is being shot through them, sending pins and needles to your finger tips.
Once again, Rick fucks you through your orgasm, putting your pleasure first as you clench around him. When you've come around a little, you see him hesitate as he's about to release.
"Cum inside me," you say, almost begging, holding him inside you and gazing into his eyes.
He nearly crumbles at your words and the way you look at him. The next thing you know, you feel his warmth spill inside you with a profane grunt and he holds himself inside you as his head tips back and eyes screw closed.
You stroke his hair out of his face and watch his beauty in awe as he cums inside together. It's a surreal moment that you want to remember forever.
After a minute of you appreciating each other, he pulls out of you and places you down gently, helping you stand up on your unstable legs. He tucks himself back into his pants before helping you get yourself dressed again, being extra careful with his touches, compared to how he just fucked you.
You sink down onto the floor, needing to sit and rest, and Rick joins you.
"We've got ourselves into a mess, haven't we?" You chuckle.
"A little." He nods. He presses two fingers against your cheek and uses them to turn you to look at him. He places a soft kiss on your lips before pulling back and smiling sweetly. "I don't regret it one bit, though."
You smile in return. "Is it true what you said? About wanting me since we first met?"
He nods and mindlessly plays with your hair, twiddling it in his fingers. "I've never met anyone like you before."
"And I've never met anyone like you."
Rick sighs. "The group are going to wonder where we are."
"Right, yeah." You agree. "We'd better get back. I've got an origami swan to make."
"Actually," Rick says, holding his finger up, "I think Carl will be making it. You're just advising him."
You laugh at his playful tone. "My apologies. Credit to Carl where it's due."
The two of you stand up, and as you do so, Rick runs his fingers over your neck.
"Fuck," he mutters.
"What?" You ask, suddenly worried, thinking maybe reality had dawned on him.
He traces over the bruises forming over your neck with his fingers, tickling slightly. "I'm going to have some explaining to do."
A smile forms on his face and relief washes over you. This might undoubtedly cause further tensions in the group, but things with you and Rick might just end up as you'd hoped after all.

Little lies ~Daryl Dixon~
Description: The reader is noise sensitive and herds don't help with that, so Daryl does his best when they're trapped and surrounded.
Warnings: Swearing, she/her pronouns, fluff, angst, noise sensitivity, anxiety, panic attacks, walker herds
Key: Y/N = Your Name, POV = Point of view
Word Count: 827
Requests are open! I haven't seen season 11, so don't request that season, please.
Y/N's POV
Daryl and I were utterly screwed, we went to scavenge for some food and just to get out of the walls of the community. We both found it exhausting being in there for too long, and both of us have the same beliefs about the communities.
Can't get comfortable in these walls, comfort gets you killed.
It may be harsh and pessimistic but this is the fucking apocalypse, can't really care about harshness anymore. Anyway, Daryl and I were a day or two away from home, we hadn't seen a walker since the gates and while we stayed on alert, we took our time. We enjoyed each other's company and we had peace, the few birds in the trees chirped, the wind caused the trees to rustle and the environment was enjoyable to feel somewhat safe in.
We exited the trees, touching the pavement of the road, if we crossed the road we'd enter the woods again but if we followed the road... who knows where that would take us. I searched the area around us, surprised to see a truck open and empty.
"Fuck!" I heard Daryl hiss, I followed his eye line, my panic already increasing at the incoming herd. Daryl grabbed my hand, dragging me into the back of the truck and pulled the door down, keeping it slightly open with one of the pieces of fabric he carried on himself. We sat down, side by side and placed our bags down knowing that we'd be here for a while.
I clenched my eyes shut at the sounds of the metal being hit due to the walkers and the hissing plus growling of the undead. It was overwhelming, the amount of them caused the sound to amplify as time went on. I covered my ears as it felt as if the sound got louder, biting back a sob as the truck started to rock. Daryl pulled me into his arms, letting me rest my head against his chest and placed his hands over mine giving extra coverage to my ears.
I could feel my heart clenching, and my hands shaking as the thumping increased, the truck rocked more and my panic washed over me. I muffled my sob against his chest, curling more into his side and doing what I could to block it all out. A headache had already formed, and Daryl tightened his grip around me, doing what he could to help ease my panic.
"You're alright." He whispered, words barely audible but I could hear it, I could feel the comfort he was trying to give him. I feared the herds, the hissing and the groaning all piling on top of each other made it hard to cope. It was the thing I feared about this, the herds made me fearful and Daryl seemed to be the only one that got it. Or the only one that wanted to comfort me when I freaked out. The others judged me, and found it ridiculous, thus forcing me to stay at home and hide while they did the important stuff.
I was more of the medic anyway, I did enjoy helping in that way but Daryl, Rick, Michonne, Carol and Maggie were the ones that went out to do the important stuff. I enjoyed the company of people I knew well, so it annoyed me when they made sure I stayed behind and treated me like a child. I probably deserved it but I knew how to hide my anxiety so we wouldn't get killed.
"I'm scared." I choked out, sobbing against his chest and crying as it became more and more intense in my head. Daryl seemed to know what would happen next, he was more aware of the movement and the way the truck moved than I was. He knew what would happen next, I could feel it, he pulled me closer to his chest and, shielded my head as we fell back and rolled around in the tin down a hill due to the herd's weight as they constantly pushed on the metal.
The two of us groaned in pain, Daryl checked me for any injuries before he let me check him, we were both fine physically, but I was just still emotionally not ready. We still waited for the walkers to pass, the crate probably killed a few on the way down but their attention was turned away from us.
"Are you doing alright, sunshine?" He whispered gently, I nodded against him, slowly feeling my panic fade away. Daryl and I got out of the crate after what felt like an hour after we waited. Daryl got out first, surveying the area to make sure we were okay, Daryl then helped me out before we stayed at the bottom of the hill, walking the same path we would've if were still on the road.

I see all the "Steve needs glasses because of all the beatings he's gotten" takes and I raise you "Steve has always low-key needed glasses but no one ever noticed until his vision got worse from the beatings."
-----
Steve: Wait, so you're telling me that tree leaves don't blend together when you're farther away than standing right next to the tree?
Robin: No? Like, you know leaves are separate, right, dingus?
Steve: Well, yeah! Up close! But I thought it was some sort of... camouflage, or something! Like zebra stripes! That when you got far enough away the leaves just all looked like one big blob!
Robin: ...
Robin: Camouflage?!?!
-----
Eddie: So how'd you pass all those eye exams they gave us if the letters were blurry?
Steve: Well, I was always after Maggie Harmon in line and she was super smart, I mean, she even had glasses, so I just...
Eddie: You just what, Steve?
Steve: *hands over his face* I copied her answers.
Eddie: Steve, light of my life, are you telling me... you cheated on an eye exam?
Steve: I thought people would think I was stupid if I got the answers wrong!
Eddie: *processing* So you thought... it was a test... of how smart you were?
Steve: I was six!
Eddie: *trying not to laugh* Oh, Stevie, I love you.
Steve: *grumbly* Love you, too.
-----
Steve becoming a voracious reader now that reading doesn't give him a blinding headache. He didn't know books could be that awesome! They were always just painful!
Eddie loves it because the first thing Steve decides to read is "that nerd shit" (aka LOTR) and he gets really into it.
-----
The first time Steve puts on his glasses
Steve: *staring at Eddie kinda awestruck*
Eddie: What?
Steve: It's just - your eyes are even prettier than I thought.
Eddie: *utterly in love*
-----
Eddie: So, yeah, apparently Steve has needed glasses for a while now.
Dustin: Hold on. What? Steve, how long has your vision been shit?
Steve: Ummmm, I mean, it's been getting worse for years.
Dustin: So when you fought Billy - could you actually see him?
Steve: *starting to get annoyed* Yes, I could see him. He was just sort of. Blurry.
Dustin: *as if he's just made a fascinating discovery* Maybe that's why you lost so many fights! Maybe you're not actually terrible at fighting, you just couldn't see!
Steve and Eddie in tandem exasperation: Dustin!
-----
Of course, it's also sad because even if no one else figured it out, Steve's parents should have. But they didn't. And he thinks about that sometimes when he sees himself in the mirror with his glasses on. And it's just one more way he knows he wasn't wanted. They didn't even care enough to notice he couldn't see. When that happens, he gets reallh quiet and Robin and Eddie know exactly what he's thinking. Eddie pulls him down onto the couch next to him and Robin curls up on top of him with her arms wrapped around him in a hug and Eddie kisses his cheeks and they remind him that they want him.
-----
Also, Eddie thinks Steve is insanely hot with the glasses. Every morning, the first thing Steve does when he wakes up is put on his glasses. The first thing Eddie does is kiss him until those glasses are fogged up.
Eddie: If you'd been wearing these that time in the boathouse, I think I'd have had a hard time deciding if I wanted to hold a bottle to your neck or jump your bones.
Steve: *blushing*

******************
Night has fallen on all of you, unfortunately, it's not the only thing, the Saviors have been closing your escapes forcing us to make drastic and hasty decisions until you find yourselves in the situation you are in right now, surrounded by enemies, kneeling on the ground, Maggie suffering terrible pain from her pregnancy, but no one knows what is wrong with her, everyone is pointing a gun at the group and a lunatic appears from inside the caravan and you feel your whole body tremble, lowering your gaze.
He is a huge Alpha, in his hybrid form, with jet black fur and white torso, his eyes glow with a reddish light, one of his gigantic claws hold a baseball bat, his paws dig into the ground with every step he takes, his strong scent envelops you all, bending even Rick who is your leader and an Alpha with a dominant instinct, but that man's, in his wolf form, was suffocating.
"Has anyone pissed their pants yet?" He says with a tone full of sarcasm. "Well, well... I actually come here very disappointed, you know? I'm a very reasonable guy, if you had come all the way to my house, we could have had a chat, come to an agreement." He paces back and forth. "But you guys decided to go after my men, you killed them in cold blood. That's not right." He walks up to Rick and his smile turns dangerous. "You came into my house and killed my people, that's not right, Rick." He tells him. "In return, I should do the same to yours, don't you think?" he tries to be reasonable.
"You were threatening..."
"What, are you really going to talk back to me?" He snorted through his teeth and grabbed him by the hair, but released him instantly.
Daryl has lunged at him like a guard dog, slamming into the jaw of the Alpha hybrid who recoils several steps back, Negan's men quickly knock Daryl to the ground, Dwight aims at him in the head with his own crossbow, you jump out of your seat.
"No, Daryl!" you whimper in total panic.
"Stop everyone!" Negan howls getting everyone to stop.
Dwight doesn't lower the crossbow but steps back a few paces, they lift Daryl up with a sharp gesture, Negan walks up to him and rests the head of the bat on his chin. Your breath hitches dramatically, horrified thinking of what could happen, but Daryl doesn't hesitate, his blue eyes are locked on the Alpha's, defiant, letting his Alpha instinct rise, but Negan's is stronger.
"I was going to kill you, I was going to make you give in and tear you apart bit by bit, but..." His smile grows wider and his eyes bore into you. "I'm going to be benevolent to you, just this once." He continues and you all feel some relief. "In return, I'll take something with me. Her."
The bat swings away from Daryl's chin to point at you. You gasp several times, your eyes fill with panic, you want to refuse, but he keeps talking.
"She's an unclaimed Omega, and I need a new wife." He looks at you with intensity. "You're young, you'll give me some beautiful puppies, and I'll get my army back."
"No..." Daryl growls wanting to move, but they keep holding him back.
"If you don't... I'll kill your friends, one by one." He looks at you with intensity and you know he's not lying. "What do you say, beautiful?"
"If... if I go with you..." You whisper.
"No!" Daryl refuses again and takes a direct punch to the jaw.
"If I go with you!" You say again. "Then you won't hurt my friends... and you'll leave Hilltop alone..."
"Hilltop uh..."
"Promise me and I'll go with you..." You insist, he seems annoyed by your demands, but your Omega scent appeals to him.
"Okay, beautiful, I won't touch anyone and I'll leave Hilltop alone." He agrees and gestures to you. "Come, Omega, let me see you." You find it hard to obey, his voice bothers your ears and gives you a strange feeling in your stomach, still you have to do it for your people. Trembling you stand up and walk towards him. "No. Show yourself to me, your true form."
You hesitate, standing before him, head bowed, but eyes wide open. You have never used that form. No one has ever seen you like that. You don't like it, your true form, as Negan calls it, makes you vulnerable to Alphas, being an unclaimed Omega, your essence, your instinct, your scent as an Omega is triggered in that form, attracting all Alphas around you, not being in heat there is never a risk of being harmed, but you doubt with Negan that matters. Nevertheless you know you must obey, you swallow nervously and slowly let your body transform. Daryl holds his breath as he clenches his fists tightly, controlling his impulses. His heart is racing and his head is dizzy. An intense smell of forest, river and burning wood floods his nose making him gasp. He has never smelled anything like it, his wolf inside his writhes, howls in despair and Daryl feel his skin burn as Negan touches your tan fur.
"Precious... I never want to see your human form ever again." He warns you. "You will be my wife now, and this will be your form."
"Y-yes, Alpha..." You whisper lowering your head.
"Okay, now to go home, boys." You tell your men and nod your head. Two other Betas hold Daryl tightly and push him into the van.
"No! No! You said you wouldn't hurt them!" you protest looking at Negan.
"I'm not going to hurt him, we're taking him with us, he's going to be our little dog, a gift to you." He smiles and grabs you by the waist, guiding you towards another one of the vans.
*****************
You can't help but shiver when you arrive at that huge abandoned factory and Negan introduces you to his other wives. You aren't the only Omega there, there are five more women there, but they are clearly not there of their own free will, possibly threatened like you. Negan lets you settle in with them and when he disappears, they all return to their human form. That surprises you, but you don't move from where you are.
"You can change form if you want to. We all do it when we're not in front of him." One of his "wives" explains to you.
But you don't trust them, maybe it's a trick to find out how far you obey their orders and you don't want anyone to get hurt because of you, you don't want Daryl to get hurt.
Daryl...
Your eyes fill with tears at the thought of the Alpha. Your story... there really isn't a "your" story you've been traveling companions and friends since he found you locked in the shed at your parents' house after escaping a burning farmhouse, as the group told you, they were running around looking for food and shelter and they found you. An Omega alone, no mate, no Alpha, unmarked and unclaimed, locked in a musty old basement where her parents intended to keep anyone from touching her until it was time. At first you found it hard to trust them all, their scents were very different from each other, Alphas, Omegas, Betas, the group was a very peculiar mix and you had only known your family, your father kept you safe, your mother hated you for what you were. Slowly you changed, finding your true personality, becoming stronger, the time you all spent in prison, in your home, made things easier, but not much changed with the Alpha. Daryl always kept his distance from you, you were friends, you could trust each other, but the Alpha was never around you when you were alone. He, a lone wolf, without a mate, without an Omega by his side, was vulnerable to your scent, to your heat and always tried not to be around you for too long.
However, that didn't change what you felt for him, what you still feel. It's not just you, your insides know it too. He is your Alpha, your partner, your soul mate. You didn't know it at first as you had never heard about them, always hidden, your parents didn't tell you about Alphas and Omegas relationship until they found an Alpha for you, but then the world went to shit and you were locked in your basement. But when you saw him, when you smelled him, you knew that was your Alpha, not the one your parents tried to find for you. Now you can't do anything about it, you've been captured by this Negan guy who's a psychopath and to stop him from hurting your people you're going to have to let him brand you as another one of his wives. You shudder just thinking about it, the imposition of Alphas is something that has been going on forever, destined or not, when an Alpha meets an Omega, he goes on instinct and marks him, Negan is one of those Alphas and he disgusts you.
"You, the new one." You turn to find a blond man with a burnt face.
Dwight, Daryl told you about him and his partner, how they stole his bike and his crossbow after he helped them escape from the guys chasing them. He gestures for you to follow him and you leave the room walking behind him, your eyes observing everything discreetly, but noting in your mind every turn, every nook and cranny, mapping it out in your head.
You are taken to a doctor to be examined, to find out if you are okay, if there has been another man in your life, Daryl is there too, possibly they are healing the shot in his shoulder, or maybe not, but embarrassed you watch as the Alpha listens to the doctor's words. No one has ever touched you, at your age you are a complete virgin Omega, it's humiliating for you, but apparently it will be a very good thing for Negan.
"She will be an awkward mother at first, but after a couple of litters, there will be no problems." Says the doctor.
A shiver runs down your spine as you look at him in fright, A couple of litters? How many children did Negan intend to have?
"Well, I'll let Negan know about it." Dwight says gesturing for you to go with him again.
"Wait." Daryl speaks in a whisper. His hand closing over your fur causes a whimper to escape you.
"Let her go, Dixon, don't complicate things any further." Dwight warns you. "You don't want Negan to do anything to her as punishment, do you?"
"It's okay, Daryl, don't worry." You smile slowly at him, pat his hand and walk away with Dwight.
***************
It's humiliating and cruel, Daryl has lost the time, the times Dwight has shown up at his cell and insulted him, fed him dog food and reminded him that his Omega will never be his again. It's been days since Daryl has felt the cold and dampness that pervades the cabin they use for him as a cell, naked, dirty, hungry, rage and the desire for revenge is what is starting to grow bigger and bigger in him. Not only having him there is bending his instinct, seeing you near Negan makes him sick, to his nose still comes that smell of forest and freedom that he likes so much, which relieves him, Negan still hasn't marked you and if he has tried, you haven't let him. That makes that his strength doesn't decay completely, he remains weak and submissive, but he is sure he will be able to fight if necessary.
After several days of captivity enduring Dwight's continuous abuses, the door opens once again, the smell of forest reaches his nose and with a trembling body he looks towards the door of his cell, you are next to his captor, Negan is also there with a crooked and cruel smile.
"What have you done to him?" you gasp in fright at the sight of his whole bruised body, you don't even care about his nakedness.
"D has been taming our dog, a bit unruly in my opinion, but I think he's ready to go out and play with the others now." Negan scoffs and you shiver.
"He'll obey, boss, he knows what's at stake."
"Of course he does. Let him get dressed, we have to go." Negan says, walking away.
You're tempted to stay, to help Daryl, but the huge Alpha pulls you, leading you away from the cell.
The journey passes in silence, Negan's voice reaches a point where you no longer hear it, ignoring him. You are taken to Alexandria, meeting the gates of the community gives you goosebumps, but you are not prepared for what happens next.
Negan has no compassion, the humiliation he publishes towards Daryl tears you apart inside, not only does he show you around like a trophy, Daryl is his dog, he goes after him obeying everything the jet fur wolf asks him to do. You want to ask him several times to leave him alone, but you knew that would be much worse. Negan walks around with you all over the community as if it were his own, although in reality it is, he has taken over everyone's will based on fear and threats. You've lost people because of him, and you're not willing to let him kill anyone else. Rick walks submissively by your side, showing you around, talking about the supplies they've tried to gather, without much success, he asks for Daryl back, he knows you're a more complicated deal, but Negan refuses.
"Sorry, Rick, but I like having pets and Daryl is starting to buckle." His huge claw comes to rest on the archer's head, the archer doesn't flinch, but he doesn't raise his head either. He just tries to ignore that it's there.
Each new visit to the community implies a new stab to your heart, seeing them like this, unarmed, weak before this group that doesn't even know how to live among them breaks your soul. You've never been a very brave Omega, you learned to defend yourself like everyone else when the world fell, but now you feel Daryl's rage and helplessness reflected towards you, and that gives you a strange power.
**********************
Daryl is back in his cell, now with that horrible brown suit they have given him, at least he doesn't feel so cold anymore, but Dwight's music keeps playing, his verbal threats don't stop either and he feels that every day he finds it harder to stand his ground. He curls up in a corner and rests his forehead on his knees, trying to calm down, to think of something.
About you.
Remember that day in the basement of your house. They had entered the farmhouse looking for shelter and supplies, it was almost all destroyed, your father's body turned into a Walker, they took him out of the house and when he heard noise under the house he didn't hesitate to go and see what was going on. That's how he found you; huddled to the side, hugging your body, scared, dirty, as hungry as they were or more. Daryl at once noticed your condition and how his inner wolf stretched curiously towards you, he tried not to show himself dominant towards you, even though his instinct was screaming for it, he knew there was something special about you.
"Daryl..." He hears your voice on the other side of the door and tenses. "Daryl, please tell me you're still there..."
"You shouldn't be here..." He whispers in a breathy whisper.
"No, I shouldn't and neither should you." You say in a firmer voice and then open the door. Daryl looks at you confused, but relieved, you're back in your human form. "That's why we're getting out of here."
Your words put him on alert, he looks at you with a confused and frightened expression. Carefully, he gets up from the ground and holds onto the wall, he feels weak, but when he smells you, your scent transports him new energy, something to fight for, he has to protect you, go home, help his people. He advances several steps towards you and kisses you. You sigh against his mouth as his hands cradle your cheeks and you feel him steal your breath with his kiss. Your whole body melts, longing to melt into your true Alpha, but now is not the time. Much to your regret, you break the kiss, but you look up at him with a smile.
"Let's go home..." You ask. "But I need you to help me."
"Sure, Omega, I'll do whatever it takes." He assures you feeling the tiredness has worn off.
"Good." You smile again and hand him an automatic and his crossbow. "I know you missed it."
"Thanks..." He whispers and then realizes that you are wearing his vest, something wild explodes inside him and he has to calm down.
Like you said; the important thing is to escape from there. When you are sure that Daryl is ready, the two of you run down the factory corridor. It's not going to be easy to escape, there are still many of Negan's men there, even if some have gone scouting or are threatening other communities, but you don't care, you open fire on anyone you feel a threat and crosses your path. The gunshots soon draw the attention of the whole building, more and more coming at you, some transform, others don't have time, but everyone gets a bullet between the eyebrows. You manage to get out of the building, the door leads you to the courtyard where they are holding those Walkers who are strategically placed by the prisoners. Daryl drops his gun to pick up his crossbow and shoot several guards that are approaching you. As he reloads, you cover him by firing as well.
"I'm out of ammo!" You yell at him.
"Me too!"
You both look at each other intensely, there are still so many people left in there, you may not even make it out alive. Daryl nods and you feel goosebumps rise on your skin, but you do the same. You get up from your hiding place again. Daryl grabs you by the waist to fire his last remaining round and you jump down the stairs, next to the fences of the infected. Your back collides with his and you feel a howl rip through your throat as you and Daryl transform at the same time. You had never seen the hunter transform before, his hybrid form, a towering wolf on two legs, tri-colored fur, brown, gray and white, with blue eyes that glowed unnaturally bright. You feel it hard to breathe, his Alpha scent shooting up, enveloping the whole place, a smell that makes you feel at home, protected and safe, a mixture of White Maple, cigarettes and leather, even some of Negan's men, Betas, recoil and lower their heads in total submission, but it's too late. The anger and rancor that has been brewing inside Daryl these days is boiling over and the wolf isn't going to stop it.
That becomes the scene of a real war, Negan's men jump to fight, you do not stay behind, the Walkers corner you but you also get rid of them, around you there are only decomposing corpses, defeated wolves, men split in two, the earth has a red color of spilled blood. You are exhausted and wounded, you feel it hard to stand, Daryl has serious wounds, but you are both alive. For now. With clumsy steps you approach towards him, your muzzle brushes the fur on his neck, Daryl groans low and rests his forehead against yours. The two of you stay like that, being each other's support, catching your breath, your strength. This isn't over yet, you still have to get out of there, back to Alexandria.
"What happened here!" you hear Negan barking behind you.
Suddenly, to your nose, his aura is no longer as powerful nor does he seem as big an Alpha as those days ago and you understand that his power and bravado was fueled by the strength and insanity of the men following him, he was just another Alpha. Daryl beside you keeps shaking, he grits his teeth hard and growls menacingly, the blood of his victims dripping down his gums to the floor.
"It's over, Negan." You tell him. "You have nothing left, only death... this is what you brought upon yourself."
"You've killed my men..."
"All of them." You assure him. "We have freed your wives, the people who lived under threat from you and your men, you have nothing left." You shake your head. "You are no one anymore."
"No... Damn you..." He roars full of anger.
"Let's go, Daryl, he's no longer a threat." You tell your Alpha, but he doesn't move.
"No... he's killed our people... he's mocked us... he's humiliated us..." The hair on his back bristles with every word.
"Alpha..." You try to call out to him, but his eyes are locked on his target. "Okay..." You sigh and step aside.
Daryl doesn't hesitate, his hindquarters flex to give him momentum and he runs straight at the other Alpha. Negan scrambles and for a second seems to get huge again. The collision of the two bodies is brutal.
**********************
"Saviors!" shouts Sasha as she sees the van approaching toward Alexandria's gate. "Negan's coming back!" She warns.
"Get down from there, we'll wait for him like we planned!" She is answered by Rick running towards the door.
Sasha obeys by placing her gun on her back, stepping down from the gate guarding area. All of Alexandria is in position, not only them, Hilltop and The Kingdom have come to help, all hiding and waiting for the right moment. Rick tries to compose himself, takes a deep breath and when he hears the van stop, he opens the doors.
His words get stuck in his throat, his eyes fill with tears and he feels his knees wobble for a second as his eyes show him what's on the other side.
"No..." He gasps in a breathy gasp.
"Dad?" Carl asks fearfully.
"Help me!" he shouts as he opens the doors all the way. "Warn Denise! Tell her to get the infirmary ready!" He breaks into a run and everyone is confused until they see it.
You walk slowly, limping, your tan fur now bright red due to all the blood decorating it, over your shoulder you carry the unconscious body of Daryl, as wounded or more than you, in your other hand, you carry the ultimate proof that Negan has been defeated; his head. Rick transforms, a gray and white furred wolf, his scent for a moment brings out a whimper from you, it's not the first time you've seen him transformed, but now his strong authority as an Alpha displeases you. Nevertheless, you agree to let him charge Daryl's body against his, you can't take it anymore, you drop to your knees and Rick touches your head.
"Alright Omega, you're home, you've brought your Alpha all the way here, he's safe..." He rewards you and you moan softly letting the tears finally spill over.
"He's very weak, Rick..."
"Denise will take care of him, don't worry, you must rest too and then you will tell us what happened." He asks you, you nod and let him take Daryl inside the community, quickly, as he needs urgent attention, you let your people wrap you up and introduce you to the new arrivals.
You've all been through an adventure and hell in your own flesh, for no one has been a valley of roses having Negan's presence on your necks, The Kingdom, with Ezekiel as King, tell you about the tyranny they were going through, you're surprised to see Carol next to the man, but you don't say anything, you like the couple they make, Hilltop and Jesus seem relieved, perhaps feeling guilty for asking for help against Negan and that all that happened, but you can't blame them either, the idea of going after them had been yours, so all that was going to happen anyway. You tell them about the battle to escape from there, Sherry, Dwight's wife helped you escape, you are not indebted to her, they betrayed Daryl first, but the woman felt guilty and wanted her partner back, so between the two of you you looked for a way to find the weapons, distract the guards and get Daryl out of his cell, after that, she took Dwight from there, leaving Daryl's things behind, because they knew that if they stayed there, the Alpha would come after them too. You told them how Daryl fought Negan, how small and vulnerable he seemed after losing his army, you are not proud of the violence and cruelty Daryl used to defeat him, but now you can live in peace without his looming shadow over you.
Everyone wants to know more about what happened at the Sanctuary, but you are too tired, physically and mentally to continue, you need to make sure Daryl is okay. You apologize to your people, who understand the situation, and let you go to the infirmary to check on your Alpha, even Denise leaves the infirmary for you when she sees you arrive. You have to admit that his condition is not as bad as you expected, now without all that fur covering his body, the wounds are not as deep or severe, equally Daryl is still unconscious, resting on the stretcher in Denise's infirmary, you are sitting next to him, watching him silently, relieved to see him sleeping, you feel happy because you are safe, you are home. With trembling hands you caress his arm, you feel his quality skin under your touch, Daryl grunts in his sleep, but he doesn't wake up. You watch his wounds continue to heal and smile, you lean in slightly and brush his ear with your lips.
"Alpha..."
*********************
Alpha.
His eyes flutter open, his heart is pounding and his breathing is wild. His whole body is still alert, for a second he is tempted to transform again, to keep fighting, but then a smell comes to his nose. Forest, wet ground... you.
Alpha.
He grunts low sitting up on the gurney, his gaze searching for you in the empty infirmary, Denise appears and smiles warmly at him, she nods and Daryl jumps up. He's glad to be in Alexandria, he doesn't hesitate to hug his companion longingly, but he quickly gets out of there, he knows what he's looking for.
His nose guides him, without missing a millimeter, he finds you next to the pond that is in the community, you are turning your back to him, but Daryl knows that you have already felt his presence, you are wearing his vest and in your hand you hold his crossbow. Daryl feels his wolf squirm inside him and sighs.
"Omega..." He calls to you, slowly, you turn to look at him, your eyes glow in the darkness of the night and he knows he is lost.
"Alpha..."
Neither of you need to say anything else, your bodies transform, back to that wolf form that is held on two strong hind legs and you take off running. Daryl waits, a few seconds, not too long, he counts mentally before following your trail, running after you. The gates of Alexandria are open, letting you both out, closing behind you again. You don't care. Your surroundings have disappeared.
Giving way to an ancient tradition between Alpha and Omega, Daryl pursues you, tracking you, hunting you down, Hunter and Prey, Dominant and Submissive. Alpha and Omega. It's always been that way, but Daryl knows you're a warrior Omega, a fighter, that you won't let him catch you easily. It's that part of you that drives him crazy, that makes him want to catch you and have you all to himself, when you saved him against Negan, when you went after him and went out fighting together, so that ritual becomes more exciting for him. He pauses among the trees, sharpening his hearing, sniffing the air, scratching the ground, trying to detect any movement, he howls and you, unable to contain yourself, respond to his howl. Daryl lowers his ears looking for your position, growls and runs off in your direction.
When he finds you, you have returned to your human form, completely naked, with your back to him, but your head is tilted slightly to one side, listening for the man to reach your position. Daryl stops, takes a step back, he can't attack you while in your human form, he could tear you apart and he's not going to lose you for a desperate move. He rests his claws on the ground, he growls calling out to you, waiting, you slowly turn to look at him.
"Alpha..." You call out to him and he Daryl lets out a whimper.
Then you run towards him, transforming on the way, catching Daryl by surprise, you jump and hit him. Surprise and excitement shake Daryl's body as he takes the impact. You are a wild, fierce Omega. No one taught you how to respect an Alpha, how to act with them. Daryl holds your body and pins you to the ground.
He's going to teach you how to be a good Omega.
***********
"Did we let them leave?" Carl asks as he sees the doors close.
"Yes..." Rick replies.
"But out there..."
"Trust me, nothing and no one would be stupid enough to get in their way now." He smiles again.
"Don't you think we should go after them?"
"No. This is none of our business."
"Will we ever see them again?" He asks more distressed.
"Of course."
"When?"
"That's up to them, they may be back tomorrow, or in a couple of days, maybe a week."
"A week?"
"When I met your mother we were gone almost a week." He laughs at the look on the young man's face. "They've been putting this off for a long time, so it's possible they'll be quite a while."
"And Michonne? With her you don't..."
"She's an Alpha woman, she's different, these rituals are between Alpha and Omega..." He smiles and touches Carl's back. "You will understand when the time comes. Now let's go rest, for today I don't think we need to stand guard."
Carl hesitates, watching his father come down from the watchtower, he's still young and there are things he doesn't understand, but his father seems pretty calm about it all, so he doesn't insist.
On their way home, father and son hear two long howls echoing in the night.

The Other Brother
❧ Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Female Reader
❧ Era: Season 3 (The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning series)
❧ Pronouns: she/her
❧ Warnings: mild swearing, Merle being slightly annoying/sexist (are we surprised really)
❧ Word Count: 5.1k
❧ Summary: Merle has just made a home for himself in the prison, and though you aren't happy about it, you're trying to keep cool. When a conversation breaks out between you and Merle, you realize the one thing you have in common—you both love Daryl.
❧ A/N: This is another oneshot from my series, The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning (and yes I do regret naming it that because the title is so long lol). I wanted to capture a scene we didn't see in the series, which is another conversation between the reader and Merle (see Chapter 20 for a refresher on the last conversation they had... it didn't go well). I didn't want to make Merle redeemable in this scene, but I did want to have him have another talk with reader because their dynamic is interesting to me. I also wanted to get some more Daryl backstory (that's always fun) and to see that from Merle's perspective. I do think Merle cares about Daryl deep down, he's just a shitty brother (and person). Also cute Daryl and reader moments, of course.
Morning light poured through the tall, paned windows of the cafeteria. It was still early, but you were up, about to start your watch in the guard tower. With tensions rising between your people and the Governor, it was becoming all the more necessary to keep alert. Even Rick, Michonne, and Carl had embarked on a mission just a few hours ago, in the hopes of bringing back a cache of weapons.
You’d hoped that Andrea’s efforts to make peace last night weren’t in vain. For your part, you would try to help any way you could, but there was no way of reconciling the truth—Merle had captured Glenn and Maggie, and Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and Oscar had killed several of the Governor’s people in order to get them back. There wasn’t going to be any peace made from that.
But that wasn’t of any consequence for the moment. There were other things to worry about, too.
First there was the matter of checking on little Judith, who had just begun to stir awake in her makeshift crib (just a box with blankets and towels for cushioning, and Beth’s handwriting scrawled “Lil’ Asskicker” on the side).
You couldn’t help but peer into the box to look at her, and, thinking you were completely alone, you set down your axe and your pack to transition into your baby voice.
“Well, hello there,” you cooed to the newborn. She was only about a week or so old now, but she’d already been through so much. The baby’s hazel colored eyes opened sleepily, her pink lips opening in curiosity as she studied your face, albeit with not much going on inside that little head.
You curled your fingers gently but firmly around her sides to lift her into your arms. Her legs wrapped around your side as you bounced her softly. “You’re just a little angel, aren’t you? Yes, you are. Judith. J-U-D-I-T-H. That’s your name. My name is (Y/N).”
You continued to spell out your name, laughing at the final letter when Judith drooled a little, with spit dripping down her chin as she, too, laughed.
“Oh, great,” you said. “Silly goose. Here, let me wipe your chin.”
You turned to the kitchen sink where a roll of paper towels was propped on the side. After sitting yourself down at the table, holding Judith as you wiped her chin, you felt a pair of cold, beady blue eyes boring into your back.
Merle was standing in the middle of the stairs leading up the window perch, one leg obnoxiously propped on the railing, and his amputated arm sporting the homemade blade attachment that you found quite unsettling.
He stepped down slower now, mustering a small smile. As best as you could, you ignored him, not bothering to look his way, though you recognized the feeling of that stare anywhere—it wasn’t unlike Daryl’s in its intensity, though his always felt much more affectionate.
You hadn’t said a word to him since yesterday afternoon, when he’d made a point to say that his brother could never love you. As much as you tried not to let it get to you, you couldn’t forget those words. They seared and stung and oozed.
Merle had touched on an insecurity deep within you, one that had never truly gone away. You feared he was right—Daryl couldn’t love you.
There was no rationalization to it, but rational thought didn’t exist in that part of your mind. Daryl loved you. He wouldn’t have come back to the prison the other day if he didn’t. But if he did, maybe he wouldn’t have left in the first place.
You just couldn’t grapple with Merle. He frightened you, even disturbed you. He represented everything that Daryl had left behind, every bad thing he’d experienced in his life before you. If you could put all of Daryl’s trauma and anger and sadness into one person, that person would be Merle.
You only hoped he’d leave you alone, since the last time you talked to him in this room, you nearly splashed boiling water at his face.
“Early bird gets the worm,” he said. How could Daryl’s brother have such a grating, annoying voice, while Daryl had the softest, sweetest, albeit a little gravelly, voice you could imagine? “You tryin’ to catch any worms today, sweetheart?”
Give me strength.
You shook your head, still looking down at baby Judith as you cleaned her.
You heard Merle’s steps come closer as he trudged down the stairs, until finally setting himself down at the same table. His face was directly across from you now, so you had no choice but to see him.
You held Judith closer to your chest, as if instinctively keeping her as far away from Merle as possible. After all, he did have a very sharp, long blade jutting out of his arm.
“Do you need something?” you asked curtly.
He raised an eyebrow, and perhaps you should’ve known better than to say that, since he looked like he was about to reply with something rather crass.
“You could tell me where my baby brother is,” he said.
That was a bit of a relief. “He’s in bed,” you said. “Sleeping in.”
Merle knew his brother, and that wasn’t something Daryl had ever cared to do before. Well, maybe he didn’t know his brother as well as he thought.
“Sleeping in?” he repeated, raising an eyebrow as a wry smirk curled onto his face. “You wear him out, girl?” There it is. “Too much hanky panky? Ya know, my brother ain’t no spring chicken. How old are you, anyway?”
He looked you up and down, as if trying to figure it out on his own.
“Twenty-six,” you replied, trying to avoid eye contact as you prepared Judith’s baby formula on the table.
He let out a whistle, much to your annoyance. “Well, shit.”
You rolled your eyes as you replaced the lid of Judith’s bottle, now filled with liquid formula. “I’m a grown woman,” you assured him.
“Ain’t no disputin’ that,” he agreed. “Just still a little… shocked, s’all.”
It took every fiber of your being not to engage, but there was always that part of you that just couldn’t let people like Merle walk all over you. It took you a long time to figure out how to stand up for yourself, and though sometimes it was still a struggle, people like Merle reminded you of why you couldn’t be quiet anymore.
So to change the subject, at the very least, you asked him a question, one that had been on your mind since you learned that Merle was alive.
“What do you want?” you asked.
“What d’ya mean, Bambi?”
“I mean… why are you here? Just to mess with Daryl’s head?”
Perhaps you were going too far again. You had already developed mild regrets about telling Merle off yesterday, though it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. After all, he offended you, and you’d held your tongue for long enough. Still, a part of you wanted to get along with Merle as much as you could, though you knew there would never be anything better than vague ambivalence towards each other.
“Funny,” he scoffed. “I was gonna ask you the same question.”
Asshole.
“You think I’m messing with Daryl’s head?”
“That’s what women do,” Merle replied simply. “Complicate things. A real sweet, pretty one like you can make a man weak, turn him into jelly. Evil. No wonder the Garden of Eden fell. That damn woman.” His voice turned into a sharp hiss as he spoke, his facial features tightening as he continued. There was vitriol there, like he was spitting acid at you. “Daryl’s always been… sensitive.” He spoke the word like it burned his tongue as it slipped out. “Shoulda known a woman like you would come along and sweet talk your way into his heart. Ya know, since I got here, I wonder if my brother is even the same guy from last time I saw him.”
You couldn’t count how many times you rolled your eyes during his little rant about women. You’d heard it all before in one way or another, how women are so “complex” and have some kind of nefarious plan to get men to do their bidding. All rooted in misogyny, of course. You always found it rather funny how men could say such things about the wickedness of women, and yet sexualize them in the same breath.
“He’s the same man,” you said. “He just changed. This world changes people, some for the better.” You propped the baby’s head up a little higher in the crook of your arm to begin feeding her from the bottle. “Daryl stepped up. Sophia, Carol’s little girl, she got lost in the woods, and Daryl led the search. He almost got himself killed trying to find her. And on the road, he hunted for everyone, protected everyone.” Judith caught your attention when she coughed a little, having drunk her formula too fast. You patted her back softly until she stopped. “Daryl loves this baby, too. He calls her Little Ass-Kicker. He’s so good with her.”
Merle’s eyes narrowed at you, investigating you. Some woman he’d once thought to be insignificant and not long for this world was suddenly more knowledgeable of his brother than he was. In fact, he was starting to wonder if you knew more about him than he ever did.
“Well, shit,” he said. “Looks like little Daryl’s made himself into a regular Prince Charming. Seems like just yesterday he was gettin’ wasted off moonshine and pissin’ himself in the drunk tank. Had to bail his drunk ass out with my drug money. Little shit.”
You blinked in confusion. That didn’t sound like your Daryl, but he always said he got into trouble when he was younger. “When was that?” you asked, curious to hear any stories Daryl hadn’t told you.
Merle smiled at your intrigue. “Kid was about… seventeen.”
You shifted your shoulders as you adjusted Judith in your arms, then stood again to gently put her back in her crib. “If I engage in conversation with you,” you started to say, “do you promise not to be an asshole?”
“Depends what ya mean by ‘asshole.’”
“I mean… don’t say offensive things.”
“Depends what you mean by ‘offensive.’”
You sighed and shook your head as you sat back down. Ignoring his last comment, you asked, “What was Daryl like growing up?”
Merle’s eyes widened at that, and he broke out into a boisterous chuckle. “What was Daryl like?” You nodded. “Oh, man… Well, sweetheart, Daryl was somethin’ else.”
“What does that mean?”
Merle’s laugh subsided, and he could tell by the curiosity on your face that you were serious. You wanted to know about Daryl’s life from Merle’s perspective. After all, he was the only family from the world before Daryl had left, and as much as you hated to admit it, you still occasionally clung to that world. You found yourself wishing you’d met Daryl before all this, though ultimately, you were happy to have met him at all. In any case, the past fascinated you, and your curiosity was always a force to be reckoned with.
In a matter of moments, Merle began to straighten as he cleared his throat, preparing himself to dust off the old memories that had lain dormant in the derelict attic of his mind.
“See, Daryl’s ten years younger than me. Hell, I remember the day he was born… He was a mistake. My mom, she wanted to, ya know, get rid of him ‘fore he was born, but that kinda thing wasn’t looked upon kindly. Matter of fact, she was hopin’ for a girl. She was so sure it was gonna be a girl. Then Daryl popped out. Imagine how surprised she was. ‘That ain’t no damn girl,’ she said.”
You smiled at the way Merle told the story. Imagining baby Daryl was quite amusing, too. You were sure he was adorable.
“When I held him for the first time, he squirmed and cried… He was so little.” Merle’s eyes trailed to baby Judith in her crib, who was nodding off to the sound of Merle’s voice, much softer than usual. In a way, it reminded you of Daryl’s, and once again you were reminded that they were brothers. “I think it was that same year, this Hall & Oates song came out. I dunno, but Mom named him Daryl, ‘cause she liked it so much.”
Your eyes widened, as did your smile. “Daryl Hall? He’s named after Daryl Hall?”
“Mhm… And my dad liked Merle Haggard.”
You laughed as you stored that information, fully intending to tease Daryl later on.
“First thing I knew about Daryl was that he was a baby. Mom babied him, made him all soft. Daryl could do no wrong… She loved him. Dad didn’t love no one. Cold son of a bitch. Barely looked ya in the eye ‘less it was to smack ya. Started drinkin’ a lot more when Mom died. Daryl was about… five, I was fifteen, off stealin’ whiskey and cigarettes.”
He paused for a moment, shifting in his seat uncomfortably as his face muscles began to tighten. A palpable shift in his demeanor began to manifest itself, and he averted his eyes from you.
“Daryl was a good kid,” he said. “He got into trouble, but he didn’t know nothin’ else. He was a lot younger when Dad started hurtin’ him. I mean, I was gone. I was always gone. Barely knew. It was easier for me to leave, to avoid it. He hurt me, but I was older. I could jus’ leave… Daryl jus’ dealt with it for a while. A long time…”
You knew what Daryl’s father had done to him, how he slashed the skin on his back with a switch from a birch tree. It was hard not to know about it. Daryl’s back was evidence, etched with thick, raised scar tissue. On the rare occasions Daryl talked about it, he would pass it off as if it were nothing, despite your attempts to comfort him in the wake of these traumatic memories. Sometimes you felt that he was too reluctant to let himself feel the weight of his emotions, but you couldn’t say that to him. He needed to come to terms with his past in his own time, his own way.
“He beat me too,” he continued, “but Daryl got it worse. I know that now. Kinda funny, I left ‘fore things got real bad, and yet Daryl turned out better than me. How the hell does that happen?”
You shrugged. “Well, Daryl has a good head on his shoulders.”
“Yeah,” he agreed. “Knows a good thing when he sees it.”
You looked at him curiously, innocently. “Hm?”
“Talkin’ ‘bout you, Bambi.”
“Oh.”
Me? If you didn’t know any better, it seemed as though Merle was… complimenting you. Not in a crass sexual way, or with a sarcastic remark—it was genuine. You could tell.
“Mhm… You’re good for him.”
You were taken aback, bewildered. Wasn’t this the very same man who accused you of being nothing but a “passing fancy” and “a hole for Daryl to put his dick in” not twenty-four hours ago? Surely you were speaking to a different man.
“Where is that coming from?” you asked, genuinely confused. “I thought you hated me.”
Merle chewed his bottom lip in thought. Another little habit similar to Daryl’s. It was quite surreal. “I don’t know my brother half as well as you do,” he began, “but I knew him ‘fore all this… ‘Fore the world went to shit. He was lost for a real long time, followed me around not knowin’ what else to do. Yesterday, you said he didn’t think for himself, that he was like a puppet. Maybe you’re right. Maybe… maybe that’s what I did to him.”
You lowered your head, slightly ashamed of your words, though you meant every bit of them. From what Daryl had told you, you had always gleaned that Merle manipulated him, taking advantage of Daryl’s sensitivity and leading him down paths that weren’t good for him. You might not have known Daryl for as long as Merle, but you knew that Daryl was much more emotionally fragile than he seemed at the outset, and that people like Merle could easily take advantage of him. Of course, Daryl wasn’t completely innocent in his actions, but you always felt that he was much more himself these days, without the influence of his brother. You only hoped that Merle being here wouldn’t deter his progress.
“But you,” he continued, “you brought somethin’ outta him.”
You shook your head in denial. “No, it was all of us. This group, we’re family. We all changed each other. But Daryl… he’s always been good. I believe that. When he saved me from that walker in the woods, that day I took you both to our camp, I knew he was good. It wasn’t me, he just needed the opportunity to be good.” He needed to get away from you, was what you really wanted to say, but perhaps that would be a little too harsh for the moment.
He chuckled under his breath, amused by the thought of his kid brother being so good. “You really love my brother, don’t you, girl?”
Your cheeks became flushed with red, despite your confidence in that answer. You loved him so much it scared you. You loved his heart, his mind, his body, his soul… Beautiful didn’t even begin to describe him. The short time you’d been together in this world felt like centuries, though time moved faster these days—a year was like a decade. That year you spent with him was fraught with fear and blood and death and every other unholy thing you could think of, but all that paled in comparison to the deep, profound love you had for him. It kept you going on particularly dark days, and held your hand when the light seemed so far away that you couldn’t see in front of you.
His love was the last beautiful relic of a time when love was all too often taken for granted. His love was unending and unwavering, even when death loomed at every corner and threatened to rid the world of every last ounce of happiness. His love was sweet, pure, sincere, almost unfathomable in its depth.
When your love met with his, it was the closest thing you could get to a dream in this terrible nightmare of a world. So yes, you did love him. Very, very much.
“Yes,” you said clearly, not wanting to be mistaken. “I love Daryl very much.”
He was silent for a while, as if processing the information. He knew you loved him, though, just as much as he knew Daryl loved you. What disturbed him was a newfound kind of protectiveness for his little brother, which he hadn’t felt so much since the little boy was born.
“Would ya hurt him?” he finally asked, eyes boring deep into yours. “Would ya break his heart?”
The man continued to bewilder you, and for a few moments, you had no idea what to say, though you knew exactly what the answer was.
“No,” you said. “No, never. I’d never hurt him.”
Merle nodded solemnly, though with a vague sense of trust. “He’s been hurt a lot. By my dad, by me… See the way he looks at ya, Bambi. Nothin’s ever made him this happy. Tell ya the truth, I don’t think he’s ever been happy. Not till you. Saw it at the quarry, too. You had him in the palm of your little hand since the moment he saw ya, I knew it. Jus’ didn’t think you’d last long enough for him to realize it.”
You thought for a moment, still trying to fully process Merle’s words. “Well,” you finally said, “Daryl means everything to me. Breaking his heart would break mine.”
“So we got ourselves an understanding then?”
“Understanding?”
“Yeah. You hurt my little brother, you answer to me.”
Your slight fear of Merle kicked in, sending a brief shiver up your spine. Though you wondered if Merle really cared about Daryl, you couldn’t help but take his warning seriously.
“I still don’t like you, Merle,” you said abruptly, trying to regain your confidence. “If you’re going to live here, and hang around Daryl, I have a few ground rules, too.”
He leaned back in his chair, folding his hand and his blade hand behind his head. “Lay ‘em on me, sugar tits.”
You scoffed, glowering at him. “First of all, don’t call me that. And you need to stop sexualizing everything. It makes me and Daryl very uncomfortable.”
“Damn, you’re no fun at all.”
“Just be respectful,” you said. “Boundaries.”
Merle shook his head, and you could tell he hardly knew the meaning of that word. “You done usin’ those big college words now? Think I liked you better when you didn’t talk so much.”
Your lip tightened as you pulled a mean glare, rising from your seat to return your axe to its place on the loop of your belt. You then picked up Judith, planning on taking her to Beth before your watch shift started. “Get used to it.”
It was an uneventful shift, with no signs of the Governor or his army on the horizon, giving you time to think about the new situation. Merle wasn’t going anywhere for the time being, and you had to accept that. Everyone did. No one liked him, and you were sure even Daryl didn’t particularly like him, but that was Daryl’s brother, and the only part of his family he had left. You found it hard to understand Daryl’s devotion to him, considering Merle had abandoned him as a child, but you didn’t need to understand—the point was that Daryl wanted him here, and you loved Daryl.
Relationships sometimes require sacrifice, you knew that. Perhaps this was the first sacrifice you’d have to make for Daryl, and though it came with being irritated by Merle’s bigoted presence, you told yourself that from now on, you would pick your battles wisely, only fighting with Merle when you deemed it necessary. Perhaps Daryl himself would soon grow tired of Merle, but until that time, you’d stick it out for him. Only for him.
You hadn’t even seen Daryl yet that day, except for a few times from a distance as you stood in the guard tower. In a running joke, you raised your binoculars to spy on him, watching him help Glenn with the reinforcements to ensure the prison was strong against any threat, namely the Governor.
When he felt your eyes on him, he raised his hand to his forehead, blocking the sunlight from his sensitive blue eyes. “Get back to work, woman!” he yelled up at you from the ground.
“You first!” you called back, still watching him through your binoculars. “That barricade isn’t going to make itself, Dixon!”
He scoffed and shook his head, though his slight smirk betrayed his amusement at your teasing. Fully intending on getting you back in some way, he paused to remove his jacket and vest, revealing his bare arms. With narrowed eyes, you adjusted your binoculars to more clearly display his toned muscles, gleaming with sweat in the afternoon sunlight. As he lifted the large wooden pallet, you studied the flexed tendons and bulging muscles all along his tan, impossibly large arms.
When he finished moving it to block the entrance to D Block, he dusted off his gloved hands and shook the dark caramel bangs from his face, looking back up at you with a subtle, teasing wink, and a slight purse of his lips as he sent you a little kiss. Maybe you were still a little mad with him for going off with Merle, but how could you really be mad at him?
“Baby,” you quietly giggled to yourself, dangling your legs playfully over the edge of the guard tower. “Mm… You’re such a tease, baby.”
Your shift ended shortly thereafter, and when Maggie relieved you of your post, you helped Beth take care of the baby, teaching her how to properly get the little one to sleep. After helping Carol with dinner, you retreated to a small patch of wild blue violets, where you sat cross-legged against the wall of the prison, watching the begin to set.
Spring afternoons were pleasant in Georgia. The air was still cool from winter, but not unbearable, not at all. Overgrown violets and weeds surrounded you, and the dead were far off somewhere else, behind that chain-link fence upon which you relied so heavily. The Governor had torn down the furthest fence, but the one closest to the prison still remained, and though the future remained uncertain, you felt yourself let go for a moment, leaning your head back against the brick wall and letting out a deep sigh.
The silent moment was broken by the snap of a twig, sending your eyes wide open as your gaze whipped towards the sound. Daryl stood peering around the corner, his hand curled around the edge of the brick wall. His lip quirked upwards in a slight smile, which you returned.
“Hi,” you said quietly.
“Hi…” He looked towards the setting sun for a moment, then slowly made his way to you, careful not to trample over the delicate purple flowers. “Ain’t ya gonna have dinner?” He slid down the wall to sit beside you, tucking his knees to his chest.
“Later,” you replied. “You know I like watching the sunset.”
“Yeah,” he said. “And I like watchin’ you watch it.” You laughed under your breath and bumped his shoulder with yours. “S’true. Beautiful…”
“Me?”
“Mhm. You.”
“Aren’t you a charmer?”
“I try to be.”
“Hm, well, that’s more than I can say for your brother…” You trailed off, palming your forehead when you realized what you’d said. “God, sorry. I, um… I talked to him today.”
He nodded solemnly, though with affirmative confidence. “I know.”
“You do?”
“Yeah. Told me so, while you were in the tower. Told me a lot of things.”
“Great,” you sighed. “What did he tell you?”
“Told me that ya love me,” he said. “But I already knew that.”
You smiled with rosy cheeks, a little embarrassed that Daryl now knew you told Merle you loved him. After all, Daryl was quite private with that kind of thing, and you knew he liked to maintain a certain image, especially with his brother, who would have no qualms with calling him “Darylina” if the occasion called for it.
“Did he tell you anything else?”
He scoffed as he recalled Merle’s words. “Said I oughtta take real good care of you, ‘cause you’re special.”
“He did not,” you laughed. “You’re so making that up.”
“I’m not,” he replied. “Well, he also said you got a big mouth.”
“Pfft,” you scoffed. “Asshole.”
“Yeah… but I think he’s startin’ to like you,” he said. “I know you don’t like him, and I don’t expect ya to, but what matters to me is that he likes you.”
You furrowed your brow and smiled in your amused curiosity. “Why does that matter?”
He shrugged, and of course he had a very practical reason for wanting Merle to like you. “‘Cause I need to know he’ll keep ya safe if somethin’ happens to me.”
Your face softened into a quivering pout, yet your eyes smiled at his sweet words. “Oh, baby,” you laughed, scooting closer to grab his hand and place it in your lap. “That’s sweet… But nothing’s going to happen to you. I won’t let it.”
He tilted his head while reaching out to hold your cheek in the rough palm of his worn hand. You leaned into his touch almost immediately, closing your eyes as you rubbed your cheek against him. His body was always so warm, every single part of it. When he held your cheek, you always felt particularly adored, like that was the greatest kind of physical affection a human being was capable of showing. Of course, you had known much greater, more intimate pleasures with him, but that gentle caress of your cheek was something else entirely.
“But if somethin’ does happen,” he said, “I told Merle that he better take care of you, make sure nothin’ happens to you. S’all I really need from him, just to know you’d be all right.”
“And what did he say when you told him that?”
Daryl shook his head. “You really wanna know?”
“Mhm.”
“He said he’d be sure to take real good care of you…” Daryl repeated the sentence much in the same way Merle would, so you knew exactly what he meant.
“Oh,” you frowned, shaking your head. “He’s such a pervert. How are you even related to a guy like that?”
Daryl’s other hand came around you, gripping your shoulder and pulling you closer until his lips could connect to the space where your neck and your shoulders meet. When his tongue lapped at your skin, his lips suctioning sloppily in between licks, you let out a boisterous laugh. “Daryl! Mm… You’re a pervert, too…”
Your hand came up to lace through his hair, massaging his scalp as his mouth pampered you, inching up your neck until his outstretched tongue slid along your jawline, tickling you with his stubble.
He pulled away slowly, then nuzzled his nose against your heated cheek. You felt his breath near your lips, and all you wanted was to feel his mouth on yours, for as long as possible. Forever, ideally.
“Also told him to cool it. He says shit like that to you, you tell me. I’ll kick his ass,” he said. “I aint tryin’ to make excuses for him, but Merle… he only really knows how to talk to prostitutes.”
“Oh, that makes me feel better,” you laughed. “Are you saying I’m a prostitute, Daryl?”
“Nah,” he replied, shaking his head, and by extension rubbing his nose side-to-side against your cheek, making you giggle. “You’re just a beautiful woman, and Merle ain’t ever seen a woman like you.”
You rolled your eyes and snorted at the assumption that you were anything special, but you knew Daryl thought you were special, and apparently Merle did, too. “Well, he better get used to me,” you said, turning to match your lips up to his. “Because I’m going to be around for a long time.”

NYCC 23 Thoughts
I know Caryl fans are more than ready to celebrate. I am too for what it's worth. Believe me, I'm so ready, but I also have concerns that some may not want or need to hear right now. And I get it. Fandom is supposed to provide a space for us to enjoy our favorite shows and characters without real life obstacles bleeding into it. My blog has really pushed those boundaries over the past year and half, so if that's not what you're looking for, feel free to scroll on by or block. If for some reason my rants are of any use to you, however, then here goes another one. Ahem.
Four middle-aged white men walk onto a stage...
…And proceed to make complete asses of themselves.
This is my biggest gripe with TWDU right now. It perpetuates the same tired, limited perspective of the upper class, middle-aged white man in not one, but all of the new spinoffs. TOWL is supposed to be about Rick and Michonne, but it's no secret Gimple favors Rick. Dead City is supposed to be about Negan and Maggie, but the showrunner only goes on and on and on about Negan/JDM in his interviews. S2 of le spinoff is supposed to be about Daryl and Carol, but...well, I'll get to that. My point is, representation offscreen matters because it affects what we see onscreen and which viewers will be drawn to watch. Personally, I didn’t feel drawn to anything during that panel, not because Melissa finally being announced isn’t exciting, but because the people speaking on her behalf always find ways to ruin the moment.
If Gimple wasn't going to talk about his show, I don't understand why he needed to be there. If it was a tradeoff, I would've rather seen Melissa up there and hear what she had to say about her own return and her own character in her own voice. If that still wasn't possible, I fully respect that, but there has to be some other way to deliver news besides constantly relying on male EPs who don't understand what her fans value about her. I worry this is how it's going to feel when I'm watching S2. I want Carol, but not a misrepresentation of her. Greg Nicotero is directing the premiere. Okay...and what about the other two blocks? Any women/POC directors? Anyone who's going to honor Carol the way she deserves instead of treating her like an extension of Daryl's story?
So, yeah. About that title. First of all, “The Book of Carol” is an odd choice in itself. The biblical allusions are annoying because they don't speak to who Carol is as a character. I’m not mad that it implies we’re getting Carol’s POV—quite the opposite—but I don’t like the confusion it’s causing either. Let’s be clear, Carol is not a short chapter in Daryl's story. She is Daryl’s story. Calling Melissa a "series regular" is extremely poor wording, and a sincere fuck you to whoever approved it for the announcement. She is a lead with EP credit and creative input. I am so sick of AMC leaving it up to the fans to debate her worth. Tell us she’s vital to the show, tell us it’s her show, and use clear language. Stop giving her haters more ammo they don't need and stop giving her fans more anxiety they really don't need.
Honestly, it would’ve been easier to accept if S2 was formally called TWD: Book of Carol. The problem is "The Book of Carol" is not the title. It's a subtitle of a (sub)title, and it's bullshit. It feels like a scam, another way to try to convince us we're getting what we want when we're not really getting much of anything. I don’t know if they're worried about false advertising since S2 won't be a Daryl and Carol story—more like a Carol story which, again, I’m not mad about as long as it leads to a reunion and canon by the end. Or maybe they’re stubbornly clinging to the belief that Daryl’s name is what sells despite the atrocious ratings suggesting otherwise. Daryl AND Carol do sell though, so why not lean all the way into it? Why risk turning the show into a laughing stock with obnoxious titles? These characters don’t deserve that.
Another thing that worries me is how it'll be promoted. As "The Book of Carol" or Daryl Dixon S2? Is it going to vary based on who AMC is trying to placate? Is "The Book of Carol" going to be smaller than Daryl Dixon on all the key art? Including Carol in the title was supposed to show that Daryl and Carol are equals. That way, Norman and Melissa would also be treated as equals by viewers and by co-workers. This doesn't look very equal to me...
Why —why 😩— do they need to keep rehashing the filming location's origin story, and by rehashing, I mean lying about it and dragging Melissa and her fans through the mud when all we want to do is move the fuck on? I don't like that Gimple (savagely) threw Norman under the bus, and I don't like that Norman, whatever his intentions were, threw Melissa under the bus. Again, this is why we need to hear Melissa's thoughts on the show, specifically what Carol's (and Caryl's) journey will entail not just plot-wise, but emotionally. It's not fair to put all that responsibility on her to make everybody else look good, and I hope it won't come to that, but the people on that panel yesterday really weren't doing themselves or the show any favors. I was pretty unsettled by the number of times I heard the phrases "I wanted this" or "we wanted that." Has anyone ever taken the time to understand what their audience wants? Or has the show really just been a vanity project all along?
I was wary about Zabel pretty much from the start, but finally getting to hear him talk about Daryl cemented how poorly he understands who he is and more importantly what he means to fans. A man being torn between his former way of life and his new one is nothing groundbreaking. It's actually a pretty standard formula that can fit a lot of conventional heroes, but it does not work for Daryl Dixon. Daryl Dixon is not a conventional hero. Daryl Dixon is the most loyal character in TWD history, and it's been well established his loyalty is to his found family of over a decade--Rick, Michonne, Maggie, and especially Carol. We will never buy that Daryl could be torn between them and people he's only known for weeks/months. Someone who tries to force that should not be showrunning. Period. I am terrified to learn more about how Zabel views Carol because so far, it sounds like he doesn't think much of her at all. If he did, maybe he would've written something more substantial for her in the finale.
We'll see what happens on Sunday. Hopefully they'll release the S2 teaser. Hopefully it’ll provide more reassurance. Hopefully something will. At the moment it just doesn't seem like AMC is capitalizing on Melissa's return as much as they could, and they're definitely not capitalizing on Caryl yet. That being said, and I can’t stress this enough, I do trust Melissa’s judgment. If she chose to come back—and she did—it’s for good reason. The wait is going to be difficult, but next year we’ll have six full episodes of Carol trying to find her soulmate. Nobody is taking that away from us no matter how many times the men put their foot in their mouths.

Can you write a Amelia shepherd x reader where they get married?
❛ 𝑴𝒚 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 ❜
𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜: Amelia Shepherd x f!reader ♡
𝘼/𝙣: This was really cute to write <3 I hope you'll like it, so so so sorry for the wait, I've been a little busy...
You watched yourself in the mirror, Maggie and Meredith were putting the finishing touches on your hair, while Cristina adjusted the details of the dress. You looked at your image still in disbelief and with a faster heartbeat than usual. You couldn't even recognize yourself, you looked like a new person. This would have been the best day of your life.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Cristina asked as she adjusted your veil.
"Yeah, please don't add anything else, I feel like I thought about this too much" it was all you wanted, you loved Amelia with all yourself, and spending the rest of your days with her is what will make you happy.
"I'm serious, you could be left at the altar..."
"Cristina, no" Meredith gave her a little tap on her arm.
"Hey stop" Maggie said to them. You rolled your eyes laughing a little bit. "Today it's her day, and it will be full of love and of the most other beautiful things of the world" you smiled to Maggie and then got up. You did a little turn on yourself to see the effect that the dress had. It was quite long, above there was a deep neckline with small straps under the shoulder placed on the sides of the arms, while at the waist there was a silver stripe which then gave space to the wide skirt. You stopped in front of the three of them a moment.
"You're beautiful" Meredith said.
"Yeah, you hot girl" Cristina added.
"Thank you" you said smiling. All that happiness was becoming uncontrollable.
"Okay, I'll go check on Amelia" Maggie walked out of the room leaving you there to reflect between the anxiety and joy mixed together. God, you couldn't wait to be her wife.
"Say it, you're thinking to escape?" Cristina interrupted your thoughts again. Meredith laughed.
"Oh my God, why did I choose you as bridesmaids?!"
About half an hour later everything seemed ready. The guests were all in their seats, waiting for you. Amelia had already entered, but you hadn't seen her yet. You motioned for Meredith and Cristina to get going as they seemed very indecisive about what to do, and then it was your time.
When you appeared in the middle of the corridor, all eyes were on you. It raised some anxiety, but nothing that didn't calm down as soon as you met Amelia's eyes, making a huge smile appear on your face. Now you were in front of her and all you could think was... she's so beautiful, I can't believe now she's mine.
Unlike yours her dress was less baggy, it was snug enough on top of her to define her shape and it had cute shoulder seams. She was perfect, like this day.
You did nothing but smile at each other and talk with your eyes all the time the priest was talking, until the time for promises arrived. He decided to start with her, so she took your hands and squeezed uniting them with hers.
"Y/n L/n, what can I say? I mean, telling you that I love you and I'll always be here for you isn't enough... you taught me to love again, and made me feel more loved and desired than anyone else has done, so I'm grateful. Yeah you've been also one of the most annoying people I've ever met" you laughed keeping to look at her with shiny eyes. "But I've learned to appreciate the little good things that happens every day, but expecially that without you I'm nothing, so thank you for allowing me to be part of your life, for keeping me sober and alive, to always made me smile even in the worst situation, I love you so much, in an indescribable way" emotions became uncontrolled, no one had ever dedicated the most beautiful words in this world to you. You sighed for a second while a tear ran down your cheek, Amelia was holding the tears too, and you both continued to smile at each other. Now it was your turn.
"Amelia Shepherd, besides being the best thing I've ever come across, you've also been one of the hardest things I've ever been able to go through. I'm a girl who knows what she wants, but when you turned down every flirt or encounter by me and you really made me feel incomplete… like a crap” she and the others giggled, then she returned to focus on you. "I couldn't stand the idea of seeing you with another person, every time you spoke, smiled or just when I met those blue eyes I was lost, so I promised myself that I wouldn't give up. But finally today you will belong to me until the end of our days, and I'll be willing to do anything to make you happy, if you are I'll be too, you're a part of me" the tears kept filling both of your faces.
Zola, Bailey and Ellis walked down the hall towards you carrying your wedding rings. They were simply the cutest thing ever. You proceeded to exchange the rings and anxiously waited for the priest to ask that question.
“Amelia Shepherd, do you take Y/n L/n as your wife and promise to love and cherish her, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, for better and for worse, as long as you both live? she looked at you intently before answering.
“Yes, I do” she said with a smile.
“Y/n L/n, do you take Amelia Shepherd as your wife and promise to love and cherish her, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, for better or for worse, for as long as both of you shall live?” you gave her the same gaze.
“Yes, I do!” you exclaimed.
“Well, I officially declare you wife and wife, you may kiss” you waited no more that at the same time you approached pursing your lips in a long, intense kiss, filled with so much emotion it could have gone on for much longer.
Everyone stood up applauding, then you stopped and turned towards them smiling. Everyone cheered this day, the two of you, there was no better place where you wanted to be, from today you would have met a beautiful and a new life.

I've waxed poetic about this scene on Twitter, but I figured I'd do it here, too!
(Screenshots are my own, gifs are from here, by the lovely Dana)
I'm gonna quickly preface this by saying that I have zero idea if Zillace will be more than friends this season or beyond. They're my #1 ship right now, but either way, I just can't articulate enough how much I love this moment.
Katherine talked here about how when she and Zeeko play these kinds of scenes, their own experiences as the two POC leads on the show informs it. And I love that, because it's so apparent in the way that Tiff and OA interact.
This isn't an anti-Maggie or anti-Scola post, but their dismissal of OA taking offense to the suspect being assumed Middle-Eastern ticked me off. But, even with that, I noticed this:
First, OA is just...incredibly annoyed, which is super valid.
But even while that's happening, you know who's focused on him? Tiff. It's like they're having a silent conversation, with the real one to come minutes later once they get in the house.
Even as Maggie walks ahead, they're maintaining that eye contact. If you watch the scene in real time, it reminds me a lot of 5x04, when OA snapped at the agent who made a (distasteful) "joke" about the case. Then and here, Tiff was essentially laser-focused on OA the entire time, non-verbally seeing if he's good (and in the case of 5x04, both verbally and physically).
Which makes the 6x01 scene all the more special.
It's so short—honestly, if you blink or were looking at your phone, you might miss it. But Tiff opens up the door once she and OA are near each other and out of earshot from their partners—"So much for the guy being Middle-Eastern."
Look at OA's expression here. It's almost like he's bracing himself, the way his sentence trails off. Not that Tiff would say anything remotely like the SWAT leader, Maggie, or Scola did—but to me, it just looks like he's a guy who's tired of the assumptions and treads lightly sometimes when things like this happen.
Alright, so let's break this down. Tiff's response is immediate—yeah, I know. Because she does. Yes, she and OA look different, but they've each had to see up close and personal what having skin color like theirs means in situations like this. You're always a target. A suspect. Even if you didn't do anything.
The little shake of her head as she looks back down—sort of like, "it's a shame" type of thing.
But, then the "trust me" is what gets me. Because (first of all, Tiff, he does, with his life) she's seeing the opposite side of it: how Black people are often accused without warning just because of what we look like. And it's there—the innate understanding that she's communicating with him in that moment. She knows that after what happened outside, he's seeking reassurance that he's not overreacting, that he has a right to be annoyed, and with five words, Tiffany told him, you weren't wrong.
And OA freaking sighs after she says it. You can see it in his face, the relief at the fact that she gets it. Gets him. In five words, Tiffany understands. Perhaps more than anyone ever has.
Y'all see his eyes? The way they flit over her face for a second or two—relishing the fact that, okay, this is someone I don't have to tiptoe around. I can say exactly how I feel and know they won't judge me or have some preconceived notion. They listen, they hear me, and they don't try to understand. They simply do.
This has already gotten way too long, but I'm so serious when I say that OA and Tiffany have the most unique dynamic on FBI. There's so much depth and realness, a shared life perspective, and if you see them like I do, tons of chemistry as well. I really hope S6 furthers their bond, because it's so near and dear to my heart.
Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk! :)
