We sat on a bench as the sun went down, watching the sky redden, and Agnes asked me a question.

[ID: Digital sketch of Jack Barnabas and Agnes Montague based on a screenshot from Pushing Daisies. Agnes holds a heatproof silicone baking sheet (labelled with text and arrows above it) up to Jack’s face and kisses him through it. They both have peaceful, happy expressions and Jack’s hand is on Agnes’s waist. End ID.]
inspired by the Pushing Daisies Kissing Technique™, here’s how jack/agnes can still win

I love Tma so much but it is genuinely effecting my life
I have VERY vivid dreams and today I was taking a nap because I got out of school early; but then I had a dream one of my family members got brutally mutilated by fire because recently I listen to mag 67 "Burning Desire" and Tma involves a lot of fire in general

Ok so I’ve seen people joke about how Agnes canonically has brown hair but gets drawn as a redhead but I just noticed for the first time. She’s described thus: “She had a small, sharp face, and long brown hair, always braided into two tight pigtails”
But then later in mag 67 we get this: “she was tall, with long, straight, auburn hair”
So I’m thinking there are a few possibilities here.
1. Writer error (we know Jonny mucked up dates a lot, not out of the question)
2. Agnes has dyed her hair (as in, she’s not a natural redhead most likely, unless she was dyeing it at a young age in mag 59)
3. Her hair color changed over time naturally - this is known to happen. My brother had white-blond hair that became a darker ash blond as he grew up. Idk about the science of that personally tho so not sure how feasible the change from brown to red would be
4. Ronald Sinclair (mag 59 statement giver) was colorblind.
According to a quick google, as many as 1 in 12 men are red-green colorblind, which makes it difficult to distinguish between reds, greens, and browns. Statistically speaking, it’s likely we had at least a few colorblind statement givers. Personally I dig this as a headcanon because it would involve a level of detail orientation that Jonny is often exceptional with, despite a handful of blips/inconsistencies.
Anyway this is all quite inconsequential but still fun to think about

I feel so bad for Jack Barnabas. His only sin was not wanting to fumble a weird girl.

Hold on. Jon came up with the name "Cult of the Lightless Flame"?? This bean is such a dork, it's one thing for the cult to name itself something like that, it's a whole other thing for some bean in a room with a tape recorder decide on his very own headcanon for their favorite band of hot (hehe) cultists. Jon you little dork I love you
(Edit for misgendering...)

Jack Barnabas gets it. Not only does he ask Agnes Montague for a date, but when she kisses him and she destroys both his face and his life, he still would not change how things happened. Find yourself a man like him fr

This is my first listen of TMA, but i know very vaguely what happens. When Jon talks about quitting in ep 67, Elias says something along the lines of 'you dont know how difficult it'd be to replace you' and i feel like that has some other meaning behind it besides just finding someone to do the job. Hmmm
