What common problem have you never experienced? The loss of a close family member (that doesn't include pets). Alternatively, what's an uncommon problem you have experienced? Homelessness. What's the longest amount of time you've been ill for? I don't really know. I don't get sick a lot at all. Who is your closest male friend? Girt. Do you know anyone who hunts for meat? Sadly. I say "sadly" because it's not like they need it. Have you ever lived with a boyfriend/girlfriend? Yes, although I wasn't a technical resident. I was there all the time, though. It's not exactly "random" as it's a popular location, but anyway, I would love to visit Venice. What subjects do you or did you get the worst grades in? Math. When was the last time you ate cake and what type of cake was it? That's a good question, actually. Maybe my niece's birthday in February? I don't remember what kind of cake it was. I have to ask myself IS there a heaven in eternity? Living forever just... doesn't appeal to me. "Living" is an odd word to use there, but hopefully you get it. Existing on and on and on and on seems like it'd just be a drag, but at the same time I do like the thought of feeling relentlessly happy and peaceful with my loved ones. I guess that would be my definition of it, if it does exist. What’s one of the scariest things you’ve ever done? ODed. Have you ever watched the Superbowl all the way through? Just once, on my 16th birthday because I was at Jason's place and all of his family was watching it. I had absolutely zero interest, but we wanted to hang with the family. If you had to move to another country, where would you move? Canada. Do you watch American Horror Story? I haven't in years. It was Jason's and my first "show," and the first season was excellent. I lost interest in the second one, honestly. I'd be up for watching other seasons, though. How many relationships have you been in this year? None. What's your favorite cereal? My lock screen is this pretty, simplistic periwinkle color with "work on you for you" written on it. It's one I plan on keeping for probably a long time because I connect to it so deeply with my stupid damn head frequently demanding I have to improve "for Jason" to prove him wrong. Which is a very unhealthy mindset to have, I know. My home screen is a cute lil Mark edit someone made with a very similar pale blue background, so my phone is just currently an #aesthetic. Do you have a Snapchat? No. What's your favorite sports team? (if you like sports)? I don't like sports, but I'm biased towards the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team because of my dad. Last thing you ate? I had Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast. Do you take a lot of selfies? Definitely not. I just hate how I look so much; it takes way too much effort for me to get an "acceptable" one. Do you prefer strawberries or cherries? Strawberries. I hate cherries. How many hours of sleep did you get last night? Maybe like, three. -_- Our A/C is still out, and it was like, 87 in the house last night. It was impossible to sleep. Do you listen to music daily? Not EVERY day, but usually. Biggest insecurity? My weight. Do you play video games? Not as much as I used to. I'd probably play way more if I actually had a PS4 + the games I'm DYING to have. I 110% want to rescue an opossum, emphasis on "rescue." I'm not plucking one from the wild or anything like that. I would be in HEAVEN raising one of those angels. Are there any decorations that makes you happy? (lights, candles, plants..) I love those beds decorated with fairy lights, and just Christmas lights in general. Halloween and Christmas decor tend to give me sparks of happiness when I see 'em. Does race matter to you when it comes to dating? Not at all for me. When was the last time you painted something? Albums to Watch for in February 2020

We’re only a month into 2020 and the music being released is getting more and more epic. February is looking just as good with a lot of highly anticipated albums set for release in the next month from the likes of Justin Bieber, Green Day, Ozzy Osbourne, BTS and more.

Vinyl Bay 777, Long Island’s music outlet, loves new music. That’s why we’re taking a look at some of the new albums hitting shelves in February. From the highly anticipated to the highly recommended, here are seven albums (and a few more) we think will be worth keeping an eye out for.

1.       Green Day, ‘Father Of All Motherf******’: A noted departure from the pop-punk/arena rock sound Green Day has cultivated over the last three decades, ‘Father Of All Motherf******’ finds the band experimenting with a new Motown-meets-garage rock sound. While I can take or leave “Fire Ready Aim” content-wise, I find a certain appeal to singles “Father Of All” and “Oh Yeah” in terms of groove and style. These are influences that came to the forefront in Foxboro Hottubs (a completely different band that just happens to share a few members) and it’ll be interesting to hear how they put the Green Day spin on it. 2.       Stone Temple Pilots, ‘Perdida’: ‘Perdida’ is supposed to be an album unlike anything Stone Temple Pilots have released before. An acoustic album recorded with “unexpected instruments,” including flute, alto-sax, vintage keyboards, guitarrón and Marxophone, ‘Perdida’ is meant to showcase the emotional place these songs come from. Many of the tracks were written by singer Jeff Gutt about the “difficult moments in his life,” leading to a vulnerability you don’t always get from the full-fledged rock sound.  It will be interesting to hear a different side of this iconic band with this new album. 3.       Huey Lewis and the News, ‘Weather’: It’s been 10 years since Huey Lewis and the News released ‘Soulsville’ in 2010. Since then, a lot has happened, including Lewis’ 2018 revelation that he’d been suffering from hearing loss brought on by Ménière’s disease that ended the band’s touring prospects. Even with the diagnosis, he and the band will be releasing a new album, ‘Weather,’ in February. Their first featuring original songs since 2001’s ‘Plan B,’ ‘Weather’ finds the band back to their 80s Americana rock sound. Singles “While We’re Young” and “Her Love Is Killin’ Me” sound as if no time has passed. (2/14)

4.       Justin Bieber, ‘Changes’: It has been nearly five years since Justin Bieber released ‘Purpose,’ which featured his most mature music to date, as well as his biggest hits ever. Since then he’s done even more growing personally, taking a wife and dealing with the harsh realities of life (a.k.a. his struggles with Mono and Lyme Disease). Beiber is ready to face the world of music again with is upcoming album, ‘Changes.’ While I don’t quite understand the appeal of “Yummy,” there are plenty of people who seem to love it, as it debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Because of this and the hype surrounding its release, ‘Changes’ is guaranteed to be one of the biggest album releases of the year. (2/14)

5.       BTS, ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’: K-pop superstars BTS had a big year in 2019 with their EP ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona,’ breaking chart records left and right. The band’s upcoming full-length, ‘Map Of The Soul: 7,’ is poised to be even bigger. In pre-orders alone, the album blew past three million units, breaking the record they set with ‘Persona.’ Listening to the album’s first single, “Black Swan,” there’s a definite pop and hip-hop influence, but also a classical one with a beautiful string arrangement accompanying the beat, together guiding the song’s rather deep lyrics. If you’re into K-pop, I’m sure this will be an album not to miss. (2/21)

6.       Ozzy Osbourne, ‘Ordinary Man’: Osbourne has had one heck of a year, first with all of the side-lining injuries and then with the latest diagnosis of Parkinson’s. The one lifeline, what brought him back from the brink, is the music. In all of the chaos, Osbourne wrote a full album, set for release this month. His first in nearly a decade, the singles released so far prove that while his physical strength may be going, his ability to write great songs has not. “Under The Graveyard” and “Ordinary Man” are personal, thought-provoking tracks that find the Prince of Darkness looking back at his life and career while still managing to rock. 7.       Five Finger Death Punch, ‘F8’: According to Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory, the band’s upcoming album, ‘F8,’ represents a “rebirth” for the group. It’s their first album since frontman Ivan Moody got sober, which is very much reflected in the album’s songs. You can hear the reflection and a bit of anger in the album’s first single, “Inside Out,” which was written about Moody’s addiction and the people and relationships that suffered because of it. Bathory says that the album sounds like the band, but it’s not the same band. Fans should definitely look forward to finding out what that means next month.(2/28)

Aquí tenemos un vídeo reconocido internacionalmente con el premio MTV al mejor vídeo de rock de 2019. Nosotros no le hemos dado el premio, pero la verdad es que está muy bien:

OZZY OSBOURNE- «Under The Graveyard»

Ozzy Osbourne llegó a finales de año tomando un enfoque muy personal en su video para «Under The Graveyard». El video se desarrolla a fines de la década de 1970 en la primera parte de la carrera en solitario de Ozzy, y presenta a los actores Jack Kilmer como Ozzy y Jessica Barden como Sharon Osbourne.

MAYHEM – «Falsified And Hated»

Este entra en la lista sobre todo por la novedad. Mayhem lanzó su nuevo álbum Daemon el 25 de octubre, y por primera vez en su historia lanzaba un vídeo musical. Los humoristas metálicos con sede en Oslo, Atena, preparaban la última entrega de su trilogía conceptual, titulada Drowning Regret & Lungs Filled With Water.

Repleto de buenos momentos y dulces riffs, la banda nos regala este entretenido video como aperitivo.

Bring Me The Horizon – «In The Dark»

Bring Me The Horizon incluyó al actor ganador del Premio de la Academia Forest Whitaker para aparecer en uno de sus videos musicales. Whitaker y su hija son conocidos seguidores de BMTH, y se les ha visto en algunos shows en vivo de la banda. Seguramente así sugió la conexión para que apareciera en su nuevo video del tema «In The Dark». El video fue escrito, dirigido y editado por el líder Oli Sykes.

SABATON – «Seven Pillars of Wisdom»

Sabaton pubicó vídeo musical cinematográfico para la canción »Seven Pillars of Wisdom», filmado en circunstancias difíciles en el desierto del Sahara.

La canción trata el tema del arqueólogo, diplomático y oficial británico T.E Lawrence y sus aventuras durante la Gran Guerra, donde convence a los rebeldes locales de unirse a él en una misión de sabotaje contra el Imperio Otomano.

DragonForce – «Heart Demolition»

Para los más nostálgicos tenemos el vídeo «Heart Demolition» de DragonForce donde la badna rinde homenaje al Sega Genesis o al Sega Mega Drive. El video fue dirigido por los hermanos Mase y el guitarrista Herman Li dijo lo siguiente al respecto.

«A los seguidores realmente les va a gustar este video porque es Dragonforce clásico: grandes coros y un tributo a la consola Sega Mega-Drive».

LEPROUS – «Below»

Leprous prometió que su nuevo álbum Pitfalls sería un cambio bastante grande de lo que estamos acostumbrados de la banda y que en serio no estaban bromeando.Este vídeo de la banda lo demuestra con un estilo mucho más orquestal y definitivamente menos heavy. Pero sigue manteniendo un nivel muy alto.

The person you had the strongest feelings for dies, do you care? I'd be fucking devastated. It wouldn't feel real. Is there something you’re happy about at the moment? A few things. I'm still on that high of my APAP mask working, like I'm actually getting some fucking quality sleep, and I think I'm noticing the effects of my TMS therapy finally, too. My PTSD has most notably been much more bearable, and my interests are beginning to spread again. Do you want someone dead? No. Do you ever wonder what your ex is up to? I mean yeah, I think that's pretty normal, even for someone without my issues. Have you ever fed or taken care of a stray animal? Oh, many times. What is something you tend to worry about? My health and future. What is something you do that is unhealthy? Sit at the computer for way too long. I'm absolutely certain my vision is as poor as it is partially because of me endlessly staring at screens. What is something you do that is good for you? I'm not afraid to prioritize my mental health. What last caused you to force a smile? I was watching a Mark video for the first time in a while and was just reminded of how much I love and appreciate that moron. What was the last video game you played? Was it fun? Because you said "video" game, I guess I'll exclude computer ones, in which case I'm pretty sure it was Silent Hill 2. Given it's one of my all-time favorite games, of course I think it's fun. It's one hell of an emotional ride. What is something not many people know about you? The fact I was a dancer for many years would probably surprise people once they have a good idea of me and what I like. What word describes your basic style? Lazy, honestly. I dress for comfort, and given that's usually just pj pants and a tank top... yeah, I don't put much effort into my clothing when I'm going most places. Have you ever been told you were going to Hell? She kinda beat around the bush, but yes. Have you ever wanted to kill yourself? On more than one occasion. If yes, what convinced you not to go through with it? Well, I did OD once, but on the other occasions, it was the fear of the unknown that deterred me. Have you ever rejected a guy, only to have him push the issue by asking “why?” and insisting that you just need to get to know him better? Omg no, thank god. I would NOT handle that well. Is there something that you believe everyone should do and you can’t believe that some people don’t do it (e.g., recycle or go to the dentist regularly)? I didn't know 'til a survey question asked it that there are people who don't brush their tongue when brushing their teeth. Like holy shit dude, there are SO many germs on your tongue, clean that shit. Regarding the last good choice (healthy choice, kind choice, selfless choice, etc.) you made, what was your real motivation behind it? Ummmm the nearest that comes to mind is I guess taking my meds? I mean I do that every single day, but it's still a healthy choice for me. The motivation was because I am very serious about doing what I can for my mental wellbeing. What is something that you have had to practice at to get the hang of it? If you can’t think of anything, that’s okay, what’s something you are currently practicing at and trying to master? I really can't think of something for the first half of the question, but I can tell you that right now I'm attempting to force a routine of applying a therapy technique called "opposite action" into my daily life, where you, well, do the exact opposite of what your depression tells you to not do. It is WAY harder than it sounds, but I'm doing it with reading 30 minutes a day! Have you ever gone to the store to buy something, like a video game, when it came out at midnight? Not to my recollection, no. Regarding the last novel you read, was there a romance included? If so, was it central to the plot? The last novel I finished, yes. It wasn't central to the plot. Have you ever done relaxation meditations or listened to relaxation guides or positive-thinking/healing recordings? No, except in therapy when different therapists wanted me to experiment with it during a session. They just don't work for me. Do you have any interests that are also often shared by children? Yeah. Those are the one I'm especially self-conscious about. there something that could be a solitary activity but you really only like to do it with other people (e.g., watching movies, playing video games, etc.)? Watching movies or TV. Are you satisfied with the interior design or decoration in your home? Or do you think it needs a total home makeover? A makeover would be nice... Is there something that you’d like to own but you can’t find it anywhere? If not, can you a remember a time when you wanted something? Did you ever end up finding it or did you eventually stop wanting it? OKAY SO I actually have seen this custom-made once long after deciding I wanted it, but it was RIDICULOUSLY expensive. There's a location in the Silent Hill games called Heaven's Night, and I'd love love LOVE to commission someone to duplicate the neon pink sign of it to hang in my room. Hopefully one day I could still do it. Who makes you smile the most? Probably my cat, honestly. What piercings do you want/have? I've talked about the piercings I have, but I'll talk about those I want. My #1 is absolutely collarbone dermals, but as I've explained a billion times, I want to lose weight so the bones are more prominent for the sake of contrast; you can't really see my collarbones now, so I just think it'd look pretty dumb and random to just have random piercings somewhere around there with no dimension. I also want way more in my ears, dermals in my back dimples also once I've lost weight, my right nostril for the dozenth time (but this time I'll wear a hoop), and while I'd absolutely adore an undereye microdermal as well, it'd be pointless with glasses. :/ What's your favorite website? KM is my pride and joy and really feels like my online home, so despite using sites like YouTube more, that 'ole RP site has to be my fave. Do you own a fish tank with fish? I shit you not, I couldn't sleep for three days lmfao. What was the last thing someone said to you that kept repeating over & over in your head? That I gained fucking seven pounds in two months at my last doctor appointment. I wanted to scream. How often do you have late nights out? Never. I'm a homebody. If you could, would you work from home? Do you think that would make you more or less productive? No. It would absolutely make me less productive. OZZY OSBOURNE - UNDER THE GRAVEYARD

Hallowe'en late pass?

Jackie Powell: Ozzy Osbourne's hook on Post Malone's "Take What You Want" is one of the highlights of Hollywood's Bleeding, but in the context of Osbourne's first solo single in eight years, the Malone collaboration functions as a double-edged sword. An introduction to Mark Ronson-adjacent musician and producer Andrew Watt "pulled" strength and an artistic desire out of the 70-year-old at a time when age feels psychosomatic for Osbourne. But, the haunting acoustic intro on "Under the Graveyard" -- which Watt also produced and plays on -- is almost identical to the opening of "Take What You Want." Chad Smith's drumming and Duff McKagan's bass deserve credit for differentiating the two tracks. I really hate to say it, but the Malone track is the better song. There's more at stake in the way Osbourne sang about betrayal rather than his own mortality. His vocals have an urgency and the production moves, but on his solo track, the under five-minute cut drags. And that would be all right and understandable amid the subject matter, but an Ozzy Osbourne single shouldn't sound like a Post Malone demo. But, there was one spot where the track really felt in its skin and that was at the 3:30 mark. Watt can shred. His guitar solo was pretty epic and it should have happened earlier. Also, there's been a lot of talk of graveyards. I'm imagining an incredibly bizarre mashup including Osbourne and Halsey. I believe it, so I'm hoping that I'll see it, and better yet, hear it. [5]

Tobi Tella: I was discouraged when the song started and the production sounded like it could be for a Shawn Mendes song, but it picked up nicely. The lyrics are uncomfortable and gritty, the vocal is clear and haunting, and the guitars are muted but powerful when they get their chance to shine. Surprisingly competent at this stage in his career. [6]

Thomas Inskeep: Starts slow, but once it gets going (at its first chorus), Ozzy sounds strong. But then it goes back to acoustic on the next verse: why? Ozzy needs to rock! This "Graveyard" needs to rock a bit more, too. [5]

Kylo Nocom: I swear the first two notes or so of the chorus tease a horrifying "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing"-adjacent anthem, but then Ozzy cuts the crap and gets to the fun stuff. And trust me, it gets fun. [7]

Alfred Soto: It has a tune, and Ozzy brings his modulated whine to the basic power chord changes even when his producer gives the vocal and guitars the EDM treatment. That would've been something: disco metal in 2019. [4]
