once i was in a creative writing class in college, and in a bit of humor i wrote the line:
"Um," I said, eloquently.
And my teacher was so adamant that I had to remove it because "um is not an eloquent word, so it makes no sense" and i was like my brother in christ it's called Irony

South Park hyperfixation still hasn’t gone away so I’m thinking it’s probably permanent at this point. It’s slow season at work and I’m beginning to feel writing inspiration coming back…
I don’t know if I’ll ever continue WMH and I honestly might orphan it. I’m just not feeling it and I feel stuck because I know it’s been a while 😓
All that being said, if I start posting writing again I’ll probably do some smaller, easier stuff like headcanons for a bit…
I hope that whoever’s still around enjoys what I post soon 😅

hello just read your edling fic and now i’m lying in bed staring at the ceiling because oh my god, them… if you ever felt like writing a followup post-canon i would absolutely love to see something about ling being emperor and ed is really living in the palace with him and maybe grappling with feelings of inadequacy or just like… god there’s so many ways that could go but i would love love love to see your take on it. you’re a phenomenal writer and i hope you find something beautiful in every one of your days
hello i saw this a very long time ago and i was like omg and then cried. and i always meant to respond BUT i do want you to know that i’m writing a spiritual successor to that fic for whumptober rn :^) and hopefully will write a lot of edling for whumptober !! and after october i want to hopefully write a Real sequel to that fic!!

The inventor of chicken tikka masala was a Pakistani-Scottish man (Scotland is in Britain) whose name and photograph is on my blog. He actually only died last year! It was so important to him that it be considered British that he campaigned for it to be granted Protected Designation of Origin status by the European Union. I completely understand why you would jump to the conclusion you reached but in this scenario it is not the case.
listen i get it that one man decided that it belonged to the British...but this dish and more like it, have been in my family for generations, my great grandmother and her mother before her...
so to have a childhood nostalgic dish I've eaten literally all through out my childhood...suddenly deemed not mine? or my country's...considering the man who made it in your country originated from mine? a dish with a name that doesn't even sound brit.
sure u can say that thru certain interactions...our national identities have melded abit for a hundred or two years. So we've had a few exchange of words
But to claim that it originated from brit because a piece of paper made in 1960 (which is pretty recent considering how old this dish is) said it was yours...that's like looking at the truth and closing your eyes to it, mate.
an example would be chicken menchurian. its a chinese dish. we Pakistanis fucking love that shit, we have Chinese restaurants/options in every fancy diner. No idea wth that word means and it has no connections to us or our culture. its name protects its heritage.
its maybe chinese or japenese origin idk, fact is its not ours
and we dont pretend like it is, but we sure do fucking enjoy it!
so for u to stick one mans questionable patriotism against millions of people living in south Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh) who have been enjoying this dish for thousands of years....critical thinking is really needed here mate

No art this time, but I wanted to share the Bernie and Edie figures I got in December.
I just think they look very cute next to my plants. It's like they have their own little garden like in their A support, and it makes me smile everytime I see them 🥺

I just finished watching blue, red & royal, and you know what? I'm angry that as always, I have ignored recs of movies and specifically, in this case, of book bc I somehow I always end up watching/reading them and loving them! Though, tbf had I read that book before as Tumblr recommended me to do so years ago, I would have lived in agony just thinking when the movie was going to finally be made and finished.
I do have to say that I watched some people say that the actors didn't have chemistry which I found that maybe it was due to the blond actor and his role in Cinderella which of course told me that those ppl hadn't watch Handsome Devril (one of my fav comfort movie of all time) and his amazing acting in it. However, their chemistry in the movie did not disappoint, and I was fascinated at how natural they acted.
I really like the movie, tho with some adjustments in lighting it could have accomplished a more 'aesthetic' or 'cinematic' look, but I guess they were going for modern, which fair enough. Also, the costumes and locations looked lovely, so kudos to the production (I'm writing all of this before reading the book, so)
There are definitely some points where I could use a little more of background info to connect in a deeper level with the characters and as I have seen some people say, I do completely agree that it would have been better to create a mini series.
Anyways I really liked the movies, and it's the right amount of emotional and comical -at least for me- to become one of those movies that you can watch several times. And adding into the actors, they are very attractive, like my two type of men literally, dark eyes, tan man, and blue-eyed blonde goofballs <3
It's 4am, and I'm about to read the book so I will come to my update on that between reading and once I'm done.
