Ooooo! She would love that song! Mar’i usually goes for songs that she can dance to..which covers a fair amount of genres 😂 Think along the lines of Marshmallo, Little Mix, P!nk, Halsey, etc. I think Dick will listen to almost anything, but goes for those high energy kind of songs.

Damian prefers instrumental music. He’ll listen to whatever is on, but the instrumentals have less…noise. Plus, he plays the violin so he enjoys songs he can learn. He does like the music Lian plays, which she takes as a high compliment. Between Bruce and Talia, Damian isn’t sure which bio parent to blame more. Selina introduced him to jazz which he enjoys.

Colin grew up hearing hymnals mostly, isn’t really picky. Likes Christian Rock (think Creature by Half-alive) As long as the song has good vibes, he doesn’t care about genre…at least until he’s informally adopted by Roy and Jason 😂

The twins actually have a similar taste in music, their favorite being K-pop. Their teammates have watched them go from at each other’s throat to dancing around the living room, singing along to Black Pink. Complete with choreography.

Milagro, while growing up around Banda, gospel, and country music, is a big rap fan. Her favorite artist is Lizzo without a doubt. Jaime has NO idea where it came from…def not him 😂😂 Bianca also raised them on Richie Valens and Selena.

See, Jon will insist that he listens to anything…but at least 85% of his music is country. If Luke Bryan comes on, Jon sings along (and Kathy too when she’s over 😂😂) Omega will hear him singing “most people are good” to himself and just…listen. He’s not trained like Lian, but he has a beautiful rich voice. Which neither of his parents know where it came from. Lois gives me podcast vibes and Clark, while def is a country music fan, is not a singer.

Now, Lian? Roy raised her on classic rock-n-roll, punk rock, grunge, etc. Her band performs a lot of pop-punk songs (Think P!nk vibes). But! She really does listen to any genre. Her and Zachary have a lot of fun together when YJL is around. As long as the song passes the vibe check, she doesn’t mind. A song that passed, but she wishes didn’t, is “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”.

Honestly, Omega has a list of banned songs…because ✨trauma✨

So I saw the prequels prior to the Originals and it always bothered me how Luke got dumped on a death planet of Tatooine considering the state of that environment and shot that when down in the previous films while Leia got a life of privilege. I was hoping Bail would argue against splitting the twins. I obviously knew why it had to go that route because it had to align and follow up with the Originals. I guess it came off that Luke wasn’t really wanted...?

I already wrote a ficlet somewhat addressing this misconception.

Also, frankly, I’m getting kind of tired of rehashing the same issue - why do people keep assuming that the Larses don’t matter and don’t have a right to be in Luke’s life just because they live on Space Australia? Why do their feelings not count just because they’re low-to-middle-class moisture farmers who don’t live in a palace on Space Switzerland-Utopia? Why the fuck do people assume that Luke wasn’t wanted just because the Organas have a personal preference that was obviously previously established before shit hit the fans and they wanted a daughter and Bail, as a senator and Viceroy - essentially co-leader of his planet - is a fucking rational guy who understands the necessity of making hard decisions dictated by logic over emotions?

The twins weren’t just “split up because that’s how the movies have to go,” it does make internal sense within the narrative that it was safer to hide them in vastly separate locations to prevent both of them from being discovered at the same time and thus lost together, or for their latent Force bond to make them a psychic target if they grew up together and established it, acting like a beacon for Vader and Palpatine and any minions of theirs. It sucks, it’s painful, it has awkward consequences for them later on when Leia’s a bit too loose with her lips, but that’s why these movies have a tragic backstory. It has to suck real hard before it gets better.

Does it seem crazy that Leia wound up raised in such a screamingly obvious position as daughter of a then-Imperial Senator and princess of a highly prominent Core world being trained to follow in her biological mother’s footsteps and become a senator herself, thus occupying a very exposed role in the Empire, right under the Emperor’s and Vader’s noses? Yeah. But also remember that the Superman/Clark Kent illusion can actually work in real life. Assumption is a powerful thing. Your average Joe Citizen would assume that someone as otherworldly as Superman, an alien with the ability to fly, strength to bench-press skyscrapers and jumbo jets, heat vision, and other amazing things, would never stoop to living as a normal, humble, inconvenienced human being. It’s not merely the hiding behind a pair of glasses and hunching over a little with a nerdy tone and habits - it’s the entire idea that a Clark Kent could even exist in the same person of Superman. They don’t understand that he was raised as a human and actually desires this life, and doesn’t feel the need to lock himself away permanently in his dope Fortress of Solitude and never interact with the very people he wants to save and protect.

Vader was lied to by Palpatine about the nature of Padmé’s death, but there was no disputing that she actually died. In his crushing despair, Vader accepted with heaps of self-flagellation that his child was dead. He didn’t even know he had two children. In his mind, whenever he saw Leia - surely they were in each other’s circles at least at a distance before Rogue One and ANH - even if she reminded him of Padmé six ways from Sunday, he would not assume she was his daughter, because as far as he was concerned his child was dead. The OT establishes that latent Force-sensitivity also does not automatically make two related Force-sensitives consciously aware of each other until they mutually know one another as being related and Force-sensitive, so not even torturing Leia revealed this to him.

But I’m going off on a tangent. Let’s break this down:

Tatooine is nothing but a source of anguish for Anakin and his personal loathing for the place made it ideal as a hiding place. And no, I’m not just haha joking about sand. He was a slave there and buried his mother there after slaughtering an entire village of natives he knew in his heart that he shouldn’t have. It holds nothing but misery and failure for him.

Yes, Tatooine is abso-fucking-lutely a galactic cesspit. It’s ruled by the most vile mob boss in the galaxy, is rife with nasty wildlife that’s out to kill you, and is haunted by the troubles brought about by strife between colonizers and the native population. It is indisputably a dangerous place. But it wasn’t Tatooine that killed the Larses. It was the Empire. Just because they look like Soft Folks™ doesn’t mean they were - Owen and Beru knew how to take care of themselves, and they certainly knew how to take care of a child in this environment. They survived to middle age just fine, and would’ve kept going if it wasn’t for those fucking stormtroopers. Just because they didn’t live a life of luxury also doesn’t mean they were dirt poor either. When we meet Luke in ANH, he’s a healthy young lad who still has the privilege to fuck off with his buddies around his farm duties. Life may be tough but it’s not squalor and deprivation for him.

But honestly, even if they WERE dirt poor, they’re still Luke’s family, and they very obviously loved him. I almost feel like I shouldn’t have to restate it, but I will: Owen and Beru loved Shmi, and upon hearing that Anakin died and left behind a baby son, why wouldn’t they be moved and compelled to take Luke in, and why wouldn’t they deserve to have the chance to raise him in their memory? Even though they’d be sad that Luke was orphaned, they might even see this as a blessing to be able to raise Shmi’s grandson and Anakin’s son.

As much as he bitched about chores as a teenager, Luke learned damn valuable skills growing up on a Tatooine moisture farm that, coupled with the Force, saved everybody’s asses at the Battle of Yavin, and went on to make him an ideal squadron leader. Wealth and privilege are not always the best foundation, or at least certainly not the automatic one, for a person to learn good character either.

The Organas are human too. Faced with a difficult choice, they decided to take this poignant opportunity to fulfill a dream they’d been deferring for some time. Sometimes parents wish for a specific child, and that’s their prerogative (except IRL they don’t actually get to pick, they get whatever kid they gestate). If they’d taken Luke and let Obi-Wan take Leia, we’d be having the same argument about Leia growing up on Tatooine. There was no inequality in this decision. Bail and Breha wanted a daughter, there was a daughter present among the twins, so they chose her. This does not mean they valued Luke any less. Since the twins couldn’t be raised together for their own safety, it might as well have come down to a coin toss. Bail isn’t evil for exercising a shred of his personal emotions and desires in a situation where he otherwise knew he’d have to restrain himself. Also, he’d be smart enough to respect the fact that both children had actual family elsewhere in the galaxy and wouldn’t think any less of the Larses just because they live on Tatooine. The only way his decision would be careless or heinous was if he knew Luke was being taken to people who were abusive or so destitute they couldn’t even care for themselves, much less a third person, and he did nothing about it - but we know this is not that situation.

How do you feel about non-wealthy people living in harsh places here on Earth raising their children? Would you expect all the rich people in the world to go take those children away from them and adopt them just so they could grow up “privileged” instead? Think about how that sounds for a moment or two.

Honestly, if Bail had tried to argue about taking both twins because he felt taking Luke to his legal family on Tatooine was “cruel” or “neglectful” because of the planet’s “risky environment and poverty,” I’d hope either Obi-Wan or Yoda would have enough sense to smack him upside the head for being so thoughtless as to insult these people for being seemingly beneath him.

There is more to life than money and power/prestige, and Leia’s upbringing wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. She was no pampered, air-headed royal spending her days sitting idle being hand-fed space grapes while her “poor” brother ate sand cookies. She had to undergo intensive academic, political, and physical training from young childhood in order to prepare her to become a covert Rebel agent while she was still a teenager, as if being a child senator wasn’t already stressful and demanding enough. Sure, she never lacked for anything, but that is an incredible amount of responsibility to saddle on someone who wasn’t even an adult yet (like her bio mother). Luke was blessed with far more freedom and peace in his childhood than his sister. And him living on Tatooine with his father’s surname wasn’t nearly as dangerous as Leia existing within the heart of the Empire while actively engaging in Rebel activities that could have cost her her life, even without getting into the whole “daughter of Anakin Skywalker” business.

Also, just because we joke about Tatooine being Space Australia doesn’t mean every single day of Luke’s childhood was THAT eventful. It was more likely 80% dull farm life and 20% mayhem, and that 20% would be mostly Luke’s fault for being a crazy nut like his parents and getting himself into trouble he could have avoided in most cases. In other words, growing up there might not have been nearly as “deadly” as we make it out to be.

I’m currently taking requests / asks for headcanons [ can be either NSFW or just in general or a specific idea ] or fluff/filth Alphabet letters. These are the only requests I plan on taking. If you send me prompts / one shot ideas.. I won’t do them, sorry.

At everyone else out there, the same applies to you guys.]

So.. Here’s the thing.. I’ve decided that I’m going to be taking 3 kinds of requests. Those are as follows: Headcanons { filthy, fluffy or themed specifically at your choosing }, fluffy alphabet and filthy alphabet letters. These are the only kinds of request I answer so don’t send me prompts / one shot requests or ideas unless I specifically say otherwise.

Bearing the above in mind, I have some guidelines.

I’m only accepting headcanons (nsfw / fluff / specific theme &/or reader), fluffy or filthy alphabet letters. If you send me one shot ideas or prompts, I’m going to delete them because I don’t do one-shots.

One character per ask. I don’t care how many asks you send. But I ask that you only send one character per ask because that makes things a lot more simple for me.

You can send up to 4 letters in each ask if you’re asking for either version of the alphabet. Be sure to let me know whether you want filth or fluff or a mix of both. IE, you could send me something like this; character name - a, b {filth} & j v {fluff}. I’m not saying your ask has to look exactly like this but it does need to clearly state which version you’re asking for. The format I just did above was just the easiest way that came to mind for me.

The more precise you are with the headcanon requests you send, the better I can tailor them to you. If you just want an overall NSFW headcanon or overall fluff, that’s totally fine. But if you want a specific scenario ( friends to lovers, date night, weddings, the sky is the limit here) you need to tell me that. The same goes for if you want a specific reader (POC, plus size, sick, shy, virgin, imprint, etc) then I need to know that. It’s like I said.. The more specifics you give me, that’s more I have to work from.

As far as headcanons go, the things I won’t write are rape, incest / huge age gaps between reader / character. I’ll only write abuse if someone is getting their just desserts at the hands of character on readers behalf. Any asks containing rape / incest / huge age gaps are going to be deleted.

All asks must come to my inbox. I don’t take requests through DM or in comments on a post. If it helps, my anon is on, so you can request to your hearts content.

If the ask box is closed, this means I’m currently not taking headcanon or fluff/filth alphabet requests. This will also be noted on my blog bio and possibly a post stating why/for how long. Anything sent in after the ask box is closed will either be gotten to the next go around or it’ll be deleted, depending on the situation.

First of all... My content is meant strictly for adults. I do write some things that people underage can safely read, but that is not always the case. I realize that I can’t stop minors from reading my work, but I can tell you outright that I’d rather you skip over it if you’re underage and it clearly states that it’s not written for anyone underage. Some ground rules: like The Boys au, no one is an alien, just humans/vampyres/vampyre fledglings. Staying true to the school theme, a lot of the characters are now teens.

-Kara is obviously the Zoey Redbird stand-in, being Nyx’s (Rao’s?) chosen daughter (o the ironing) with an affinity for all five elements. IDK how far Midvale is from National City canonically but for AU purposes, National City’s House of Night is the closest one to Midvale. She’s the Danvers’ bio daughter and Alex is her older, still human, sister who goes to medical school in National City. She also has a small ginger cat but it’s a boy named Streaky. Clark is an adult vampyre who lives in Metropolis with his human mate, Lois Lane.

-Nia Nal (Stevie Rae) is Kara’s roommate, she’s still a clairvoyant but now she has an affinity for Earth.

-Lucy Lane and Kelly Olsen are “The Twins.” Lucy has an affinity for Fire and Kelly has an affinity for Water and also an actual, literal twin, James, who is a human.

-Winn Schott (Damien Maslin) is the token boy, with an affinity for Air.

-J’onn is as old as he is in canon. He’s a Sons of Erebus (maybe Phobos or Deimos) warrior and the only one in recorded history with an affinity for an element, that being Fire. He’s a stand-in for Lenobia, by which I mean he is the only adult vampyre that the Nerd Herd can consistently rely on.

- Quentin Docker is a transfer student from the Metropolis House of Night. He dies shortly after transferring but not before forming a connection with Kara. He is resurrected as a red vampyre.

- High Priestess Rhea is the big bad

-Kate Kane is a vampyre fledgling in the Gotham City House of Night. Despite being only 16 years old, she is very close to completing the Change and becoming an adult vampyre. On her 13th birthday, both she and her twin sister, Beth, were Marked. Shortly afterward, Beth rejected the Change and died. Now, Kate, along with her human step-sister Mary Hamilton, and fledgling friend Luke Fox, must deal with a deranged red vampyre known only as Alice.

-William is a Raven Mocker who becomes a dude at night

Emily Lucy Jeffords was born to Phoebe Clark-Jeffords and Victor Jeffords in 2005, ten years to the day from when Luke Patterson died. She was an “oops, we thought phoebe was post-menopausal but we were wrong” baby, but her parents loved her all the same! A few months later, her parents were driving with her in the back seat when a drunk driver ran them off the road. Emily survived but both of her parents died on impact, and custody was given to her godparents, Mitch and Emily Patterson. Emily has always seen them as her parents, although they made sure to raise her knowing all about her bio parents too.

Emily never knew the brother that she was named after, but her parents told her about him. She even owns one of the only copies of his first ever demo, which he’d dropped off on his parents’ doorstep the night before he died. Her nursery/bedroom got turned into an office for Mitch when she was five, and she moved into Luke’s room, which hadn’t been changed at all since he left. Her parents offered to change whatever she wanted, but she refused to change anything. The only changes that were made were moving his CDs onto one shelf and putting his clothes into a trunk so that there was space for her own stuff, and changing the bedding to something that wasn’t fifteen years old.

Despite having never known Luke, Emily feels closer to him than anyone else in the world. She grew up listening to his music (both his own demo and the CDs in his room), she eventually learned how to play his first guitar, and (with her parents’ permission) she turned some of his old shirts into her own outfits (making dresses and new shirts and sometimes even skirts out of them). She credits Luke for her love of music and really just for shaping her into who she is.

Her friends all know that she has a brother who died, and that his name was Luke, but that’s really all she’s shared about him. She never brings her friends over, they’ve never seen her house or even met her parents — she has this fear that they would judge her for feeling so close to a dead boy, so she just keeps her home and social lives totally separate.

Her best friends were Julie, Flynn, and Carrie, but one day she found a notebook of some of Luke’s old music (not his main journal but an older one) and found a draft of a Trevor Wilson song in it. She confronted Carrie about it but Carrie called her a liar and quickly turned almost the entire school against her.

Emily has always felt like she was a sort of replacement child for the Pattersons, but she’s completely wrong!!! They love her so much and very much as her own person not as a substitute for Luke!

The first time that she sees the boys she thinks that she’s going completely crazy because well, that’s Luke. By the time Julie finds out that she can actually see them, she’s not really sure what to do and just doesn’t tell anyone that Luke is her brother. If asked, she would say that it’s because she just didn’t know how to basically say “hey I’m the younger sister who you never knew because you died before I was born” but really she was just so terrified that Luke wouldn’t want a sister or wouldn’t like her, specifically

Luke actually finds out that she’s his sister when he goes to his parents’ house on his birthday and she’s there, and when they all blow out the candles she then looks up, looks right at him, and quietly says “happy birthday, Luke”

She’s mostly a singer but she does play the guitar and a bit of keyboard! I think that she joins the Phantoms but I haven’t figured out exactly what role she plays in the group.

I’m going to leave it at this because wow this got a lot longer than I planed but all in all she’s a sweetheart with a heart of gold who just found out that her long dead big brother is back and just desperately wants him to love her or even just like her (and for the record he does oh my god Luke is so excited to have a sister I have so many emotional scenes planned for them)

Some may say they act ARROGANT & HASTY, while others claim they are COMPASSIONATE & DEVOTED. With that being said, they’ve found the State of Calamity.

BIO

hazel was born into a wealthy family in london, her mother was the daughter of a successful businessman who also had a good share of inherited wealth and they longed for nothing. when her mother was twenty, she almost took the path to ruin after living a life dictated by god and focused on the purity of morals. In order to stop the corruption of her soul, after a fling with her ex-boyfriend she became pregnant, unaware the child in her womb had been touched by an angel. the pregnancy made her see the light of the righteous path and she gave birth to a daughter with silver hair, unaware of how her daughter really came to be. hazel’s childhood was wealthy and happy, she was adored by her mother and grandparents. as she grew older, she started to notice how some things were not right, she could not understand why her family had so much and others so little, or why some people were so cruel and corrupt. when she discovered her own grandfather was a ruthless businessman using questionable tactics and exploiting those with much less, she started fighting against her lifestyle. she refrained from buying expensive things and clothes, she started giving to charity and volunteering her time, she tried to change her grandfather’s mind, but it was all in vain. at the age of eighteen, she left her home and cut ties to her family who she saw as corrupt and uncaring. sometimes hazel felt confused why she seemed to feel so strongly about what was wrong and right when most people did not seem to care much, they spoke of greyzones, but hazel saw everything in black and white, either something was good or neutral — or it was evil.

one morning a few days after her nineteen birthday, she woke up a new person. finally hazel understood her purpose, why she was wired the way she was and she knew where she needed to go. she packed what few belongings she owned and headed to silver city, hazel quickly found a place among her own kind and it became clear that the life of a templar was right for her. she found meaning in fighting for the light and destroying the darkness wherever she could. she was quick and strong, she took training very seriously, often the first there and the last to leave. as she developed her skill as a fighter, she began to purge the city from evil and sin as much she could. she went after lesser dark creatures who tortured or killed humans or those of her own kind, she earned herself the nickname ‘the vigilante’ as she acted on her own. hazel has made many enemies, but she believes her true purpose in life is to defeat evil wherever she sees it. whenever she is not training or dealing justice, she enjoys playing the harp, diving into books about philosophy and psychology. she is a master archer and takes pride in horning her skills.

tl;dr: hazel was born into wealth and privilege to a mother that almost strayed from the righteous path, despite her odd appearance with natural silver hair, she grew up happy until she started questioning why she had so much and others so little. after uncovering corruption in her family, she fled her family home. at the age of nineteen, she became enlightened and journeyed to the silver city to join those of her own kind. hazel quickly discovered the warrior lifestyle was for her and she became a templar, she has begun dealing her own justice as she travels through the city, destroying lesser evil creatures as she comes into contact with them. she is known as the vigilante.

hazel believes in one god, a deity simply referred to as god, but she assumes no gender nor does she believe any of the mortal scriptures are actually connected to god. she believes in living a life almost stripped of sin as dictated by the seven deadly sins, those she believes comes directly from god. with age, she has begun to see the zones of grey she did not before, but she is still steadfast in her belief that a near sinless life is the only true way to live. she believes in the forgiving nature of god and will try to save others, but if they cross the line into the territory of evil, she will know there is nothing more to be done and will seek to destroy instead.
