River gently touched his cheek, activating the calming spell again to make his glow subside.
River: Don't worry, starlette. We'll get your necklace back. I promise. Scales are gone, so no scales, no glows, you can leave. I'll wait for you in the Limo.
And with that he waited for Lucas to leave and meet his entourage. Once he left, River teleported to the Limo, managing to startle the driver with his little feat.
River: It's okay. It's just me. Pretend I'm not here.
Thomas: Will do.
He didn't even turn his head, just looking ahead, waiting for Lucas to join. He was worried though, worried what they would do now, and how that would affect his employment as well. The cat literally was out of the bag. Lucas was closely followed by security as he made his way, the flashing off camera’s, squeals and cries from his fans, questions being shouted at him, but he kept it together, just walking in the middle of the safety of the security team, letting them do their job, thanking them quietly as he slipped into the car and closed the door behind him.
Lucas: Drive us to the house.. and I'm sorry..
Thomas: Nothing to say sorry for.

My Celebrity Opinions
Here is my current list of all the celebrities I can pull up full-on opinions on. I don’t know if they count as “parasocial relationships”, but here they are.
Don’t see a celebrity here? Either I don’t know them, I don’t care enough about them to have an opinion, or I have forgotten what opinions I have on them.
Or they’re not online.
Or they’re dead.
Or I forgot their names. Look, this list was hard enough in thinking of how many celebrities I actually have an opinion on beyond “Eh, they were good in [X], hope they did alright for themselves”.
Robert Carlyle: True character actor. Incredibly talented, but has an equally strong talent for picking wretched material. Seems to keep his head down and show up, perform in whatever Q-tier soap opera he’s in, take his paycheck and go home. Hope he’s doing well.
Benedict Cumberbatch: Better at comedy than he is usually allotted. Looks a little inbred, but that’s what happens when you go to Eton.
Felicia Day: Glad she’s on MST3K and gets to play a very ace villainess after being slavered over for the past decade-ish. Seems alright, better comic timing than usually given credit for.
Guillermo del Toro: Seems like a really fun guy, going on his interviews, writing, and films. Seems to keep his nose clean. Hope he keeps making films, they seem to stay quality. Good sense of decoration.
Neil Gaiman: One of my top-ten favorite living authors. Very beautiful, hope he’s doing alright. Have considered writing to him, but keep putting it off.
Doug Jones: Seems like a cool guy. Glad he’s still getting work. Amazing physicality.
Matthew McConaughey: Good actor. Lanky and pretty. Would watch him in most things. One of the few actors who can play butch. Hope he takes on that Rust prequel series. Astounded that he decided to act in Reign of Fire. Appreciate his constant shirt allergy.
Mads Mikkelsen: Very still face, making him one of the few people I can reliably recognize on sight. Seems to keep his nose clean. Glad he’s getting work.
Ben Miller: Liked him in Death In Paradise. Unsurprised that he turned out to be anti-trans, given he’s a middle-aged British man.
Patton Oswalt: Very funny, talented writer of imagery. Some of the best writing about fatness I have personally come across. Glad he’s on MST3K.
Jared Padalecki: Very pretty. Dumb as a bag of hammerstones. Has managed to look startlingly like a trans guy throughout his career. Has appeared in Men’s Health (aka Sports Illustrated for gay men) 6 times, a fact I find endlessly hilarious. Can’t hit marker tape for beans.
Michael Shannon: Scary-looking, but he seems alright. Enjoyed his work in The Shape of Water and Boardwalk Empire. Good comedy talent, though it doesn’t get used a lot.
Mark Sheppard: Talented, great sense of timing, openly a short fat guy who’s not played for comedy or gross-out. Appreciate that he seems to keep his yap shut and make good money. Good inkwork.
Rainn Wilson: Better dramatic actor than usually allotted. Gave an incredible performance in Backstrom. Hope he gets work, because political commentary is not his strong suit. But if people kept trying to make me act like their fancast of a job I’d given up ages ago, I’d probably go nuts, too.
Steven Moffat, Bryan Fuller, Ryan Murphy, George Lucas, Tarsem Singh: Can and will be devoured by plot bunnies unless kept on an incredibly tight rein.
Dan Olson; “Andy” of Atun-Shei Films: Voice like butter that makes you smarter. Glad he stays pretty private. Attractive. Incredibly talented writer/performer.
MST3K Crew: Have, by extension, helped me with my lifelong insomnia and nightmares. Glad Mr. Corbett is sober, it’s an inspiration to me. Also inspirational in building a reliable brand with reliable and affordable output, and leaning on clean(ish) humor.

The Minnesota Twins have had a rough week lately and headed up to North Port to play a solid Braves team this afternoon. The Braves started the scoring as Eli White lined a one-out single in the third. He reached second on a bad pickoff throw from Kody Funderburk and Ronald Acuna doubled him home. This put the Braves up by a run after three innings of play. Atlanta kept adding on in the fourth with an Austin Riley single and Matt Olson walk. Michael Harris dumped a run-scoring single to shallow center to double the Braves lead. Jordan Luplow drew a walk and Eli White plated two more with a base hit to left. The Atlanta lead grew to four after four frames. The Braves kept on cooking in the sixth with a Tyler Tolve double to right. Michael Harris singled him home anohter run and the Braves led by five. Meanwhile, Spencer Strider headlined an array of Atlanta pitchers, who combined for a five-hit shutout. Zach Logue finished it off with two scoreless innings and the Braves picked up the win.
-Final Thoughts- Chris Paddack looked good with two shutout innings and a strikeout. Kody Funderburk gave up four runs on four hits with two strikeouts over 1 2/3 innings, Ryan Jensen got out of the fourth. Matt Canterino gave up a run on two hits with three strikeouts in two innings of work. Brent Headrick retired four men and struck out one. Scott Belwett struck out both batters he faced. The Twins scattered five hits and hit 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position. They left six men on base today. Tomorrow, Lucas Giolito faces Joe Ryan as the Red Sox come across town.

Whether it is Korea or the United States, there is little difference in how the head coach, who has been in a long-term losing streak, feels after the game.
The LA Angels fell into a swamp of six consecutive losses. It is the record for the most consecutive losses this season. The Angels knelt 2-3 after extra time in a home game against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium on the 7th (Korea Standard Time). The Angels, who have lost six games since the Atlanta Braves match on the 2nd, marked 56 wins and 57 losses, falling below 50% in 20 days since the 18th of last month (47 wins and 48 losses).
The Angels, ranked fourth in the American League (AL) West, widened their gap with the Toronto Blue Jays, ranked third in the wild card, to seven games. Toronto, the target that the Angels have to catch up with, beat the Boston Red Sox 13-1 to win three consecutive games.
Coincidentally, he has not won any of the six games since the trade deadline on the 2nd. The Angels strengthened big players such as starting pitcher Lucas Giolito, setup man Reynaldo Lopez, first baseman CJ Cron and outfielder Randall Grichick through trades with the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies in late July.
However, he suffered three consecutive rouging series in 10 games since then, and fell sharply to 2 wins and 8 losses. It's also shocking that Seattle, another wild-card rival, had a four-game sweep at home.
Considering Toronto's winning percentage (0.558) as a cut-line to the playoffs, the Angels must win 34 games, or 0.694 in the remaining 49 games. It is a miracle that a team with a 50% winning rate will immediately increase its winning rate to nearly 70%.
During his six-game losing streak, the Angels had a team batting average of 0.213, a team OPS of 0.606, a 3.33 points average, and a team ERA of 4.43. During the same period, the average score is 12th in the AL and the team's average ERA is 11th in the league. They are all struggling in pitching and hitting.
Angels manager Phil Nevin said after the game, "I'll wake up tomorrow, come out on the field, train hard, and play," adding, "I know everyone thinks we're done." I also know that they excluded us (from the playoff contenders). Good. We have 26 players and staff. They know what we're in right now. We also know what's ahead of us," he said. It's a message that I don't have much to say.
In other words, the Angels, who dreamed of autumn baseball for the first time in nine years since 2014, faced the worst scenario. If the team fails to make the playoffs this year and misses Otani after the season, the Angels will have no choice but to rush to reorganize the team.
The Athletics columnist Jim Borden said, "The Angels will regret not trading Otani. "It is much more difficult to raise players selected as amateur draft picks as big leaguers than to receive and nurture promising players from other teams," he pointed out. In other words, rather than losing Otani in the FA market and receiving one draft nomination ticket next year, he should have secured a number of promising players this time. As the playoff hopes fade, Otani's willingness to transfer will inevitably increase.
Ohtani recorded one hit, one run, and two strikeouts in four at-bats. Atlanta Braves Matt Olson hit his 39th home run of the season against the Chicago Cubs, closely chasing Otani by one. As the dream of autumn baseball is moving away, the home run title is also on the way to be taken away
