First watch-through: Anne with an E, episode 13

- Her hair is bad. Matthew can’t stop looking at her.

- She actually looks really cute with the bow.

- HOLY SHIT, GILBERT IS BACK.

- She looks way cuter than expected

- Man, that teacher is a dick.

- Gilbert, I adore you for being upset. And I missed that jaw clench.

- Marilla, I adore you for wanting to give words to Josie’s mother. And being upset about the---

- talking about Gilbert, sorry.

- He didn’t laugh because he likes you, Anne.

- INVITE GILBERT TO DINNER, GODDAMIT.

- I can not imagine a Jamaican liking the Canadian snow.

- Aww. Your dad’s bedroom? Are you sure you don’ want it?

- Gilbert and Sebastian are great bros.

- Diana is very cute.

- I like Dina and appreciate her self esteem. I like Anne better.

- God, Cole is the best.

- Oh no, Marilla. THEY ARE JUST PLAYING.

- I love the 12 days of Christmas.

- This show is bringing back optimism that I was sorely missing from myself.

- I think the teacher doesn’t actually like her.

- Oh my fucking god, is Gilbert dancing behind Anne? No, she’d be distracted.

- Matthew had horrible stage fright? Poor dear. And he was so cute!

- I can’t believe she’s a tree.

- We get to meet Matthew’s older brother!

- He’s cute. And he gives Matt his marbles.

- I want more Gilbert. This is bullshit.

- I get that this is Anne’s story, don’t get me wrong. But the thing is, Anne’s hair will grow. She’ll find someone to love. She’ll keep or sell Green Gables and mourn her parents eventually. What isn’t certain is Gilbert. Will it be tragic and lonely and they’ll be like Marilla and John? Will they be like Matthew and Jeannie, where they are friends but they decide not to be together? Or will they be together? The unknowing keeps me on my toes.

- I like Jerry and his lack of caring. And his singing.

- Jerry sings to bother Anne and I adore it. He’s a brother to her.

- Is this Marilla inviting Gilbert over for dinner? Can Sebastian come?

- “What a pleasant surprise!” You’re a breath of fresh air and sunshine.

- FUCKING YES, CHRISTMAS DINNER

- I am so glad that I stayed up late to watch this.

- Wow, Anne as a boy. Too cute.

- And she’s a good boy.

- Awe, your dress Anne.

- Jeannie wouldn’t laugh at you, Anne.

- I think Rachel and her husband are cute.

- Why are all the girls fawning over Cole. They’re going to get him in trouble.

- Billy has tiny dick energy. Cole broke his arm? You massive douche.

- And Gilbert was paying attention to him.

- OH MY GOD, JERRY WROTE A CARD! HUG HIM, DAMMIT!

- You kissed him. I adore you.

- And Cole, being different can be good for you.

- Holy shit, Anne can sing!

- Marilla, he’s black. Say it. I do like that she’s not racist toward him, though.

- GILBERT HAS KNOCKED. HE HAS ARRIVED.

- Matthew, let the poor man in. He’s frozen. Good for you, Marilla, giving him a side-eye.

- Honestly, Gilbert and Bash are going to be the death of me. Bromance of the century.

- The food will be bland and the company good.

- “I’ve heard so much about her.” FUCKING YES, Thank you Bash.

- I like that she confronted what everyone else said. It’s probably a great pleasure.

- Gilbert, stay with Anne- oh my god you got her a present. I ADORE you, Blythe.

- Kiss, dammit. Over the candle. Dammit, that little laugh was far too confident and gorgeous.

- Gilbert keeps looking at Anne, he’s happy she’s happy.

- I think that Bash will bug him with it.

- I like the winter talk with Gilbert and Bash.

- The fact that Gilbert kept his eyes on Anne despite keeping his feelings quiet (vocally) makes me love that he can’t keep his eyes off of her.

- And the fact that Anne is opening the present at night? I had to pause the show because I want to focus all of my attention on the gift.

- A dictionary. I want a gift so romantic as a dictionary. I used to read the dictionary.

- Anne, you can be the main. ANNE IS THE MAIN.

- I like a shy man like Matthew. He’s got so much love with his sister and daughter.

- “What do you attend to do with it? Bury her?” Marilla, you’re a gift.

- I can’t keep a smile off my face for Gilbert.

- Lol, Billy looks ridiculous. I want him and Cole to fall in love, but they won’t. (All the other good lookers are taken, thank you).

- “HOOT” (will scream at roommates later)

- The minister has huge tits.

- lol man in a dress. So funny.

- He can’t get out of the curtain lmao.

- This is the best on-TV-play I have ever seen.

- “DEVIL LOBSTER” *clap clap* (Gilbert and Sebastian especially!)

- Aww, being cheered by your wife from backstage!

- Matthew is the hero to vanquish the foe.

- I can guarantee (because of the reading) that Josie would have sucked in the role.

- And I am half certain the teacher is gay now.

- I could do without the thrust.

- The erection joke with the sword was not missed.

- And the butt pinching? mm.... no?

- Omfg, will Gilbert be the owl now? Please say yes.

- HOLY SHIT, Matthew has to be on stage.

- Marilla knows how bad this is.

- Do it for your baby, dad.

- What a cutie you are.

- And very handsome.

- Nice subject change, Anne.

- Doth thou accept? This is such a sweet family.

- I want the hat, dammit.

I just want you (future me) to know, everything I say about Gilbert should be written in bold text. My chest feels like it will explode when I see him on screen.

See, the family is so warm and comforting. I like that they are together and their trials are enduring and I know they will come out together.

Gilbert is exciting and wonderful. I want more of him. And Bash, for that matter (but he’s more an uncle than the love of my Anne’s life).
