Loki has caught you being a flirt. Time to pay for your sins.

Your head was bowed submissively as Loki walked around you in a circle.

“You really cannot help yourself, can you?” he growled, his ominous, rolling vocal inflections sending electric chills through your skin. “Flirting with every shit-covered stable boy you come across, are you?”

You didn’t speak. You knew he didn’t want you to say anything. You kept yourself contrite, on your knees, naked before him as he’d commanded when he angrily brought you back to his room.

“Oh, it is a little whore,” he hummed. “With the silly mind of a maid inside the body of someone who knows what to do with it.”

Two black boots stopped in front of you.

“Look at me while I’m talking to you, girl.” Loki warned. “I want to see you trembling.”

You widened your eyes and looked up. Your gaze received immediately with two angry, piercing blue eyes that looked ready to rip you in half with his cock.

Not satisfied, Loki maneuvered quickly so that he was kneeling behind you, each leg on your hip, pinning you in place with his thighs while he briskly took your neck in his palm. This yanked your body against his bare, sweating chest, and forced you to look up into his face again.

“Pathetic, I do believe even as I punish you, you enjoy it. Is this the way a princess acts? No, tsk tsk.” His hand was slightly choking your throat, just enough to keep you locked in place against him. His cock was hard enough that you could feel it pulsing against the small of your back. “I ought to put you on a leash. Seems the only way I can control a bitch is by treating her like one until she learns to behave herself.”

“Sire!” you exclaimed involuntarily.

“Silence!” Loki commanded, slapping his free hand over your mouth, gagging you into submission again.

“You’ve lost the privilege of standing with your head equal to mine tonight. You will crawl and creep on the floor like the lowly slut you’ve acted as. Now, you will slither over to the bed and make yourself ready for me. Perhaps if you please me tonight, I will see fit to lift your punishment at dawn.”

He paused for effect, leaning down so that your noses were touching even as his hands were still on your mouth and neck.

“Although with the way you’ve been lately, maybe I won’t.”

Before Loki was kidnapped to the TVA, he was just getting arrested for genocide. He was at his most villainous self.

(I'm gonna burn through this next point because that's not the point I'm trying to make, I'm just adding context, sorry in advance): The first thing the Loki series does is showing him a video to make him a sympathetic protagonist, and it seemed to work.

So essentially, their starting point is a Loki who is still semi a good guy but still isn't cooperative in the slightest. Not, you know, the guy who just sent an army of aliens to murder a bunch of people and conquer the earth. So, I have to question,

Why Is Loki Taken From Avengers, and Not Where We Left Off?

By the end of Thor: Ragnarok, Loki's arc is in a much different place to where it was in New York. He's a different person, while still being himself. Because we saw distinct sides of him, and he even did good.

But his arc was not done. He was clearly doing good for vanity reasons, rather than morality, to at least some extent.

Not to mention his Jötunn heritage that he was taught to hate from childhood.

There was still so much to do. So much to explore with this Loki. But...

There was no need for this. He could have easily survived (very easily, to the point where it's goofy). We've already seen Loki redeem himself, now, there's more. He's not perfect, he's not done. Why not pull Loki to the TVA without undoing his arc? Let's just keep going, the path isn't over.

(He would want to escape rather he was his NYC self or not. His motivation could still be "I just need to get out of here" -> "there's a real problem I need to fix". The series will be different, but not that different).

Which bring me to my next point: The TVA is the perfect starting point for the continuation of Loki's arc from Ragnarok.

Consider: Doing things for validation & admiration -> going to a place isolated from your life. This would also enhance the symbolism of Loki sitting alone. He wanted a throne for validation (vanity), and now he chose a throne no one will know exists, because he wants to help (morality).

In addition, there's no magic in the TVA. There was an opportunity to kick off a journey to self acceptance, to force him to look in the mirror until he likes what he sees.

The show starts with 2012 Loki, but wants 2017 Loki. And rightfully so, because his character wasn't finished. He had so much more to do. I wish Loki hadn't died, his series would be better for it.

I spent this week writing my two big bangs, so here's something I wrote recently as part of me trying to work out an outline for a Loki choking kink and trauma fic.

This excerpt is a look at Loki's first experiences with Fandral, but the fic will be Loki x Mobius.

Loki didn’t know what made him do it when he reached up and brought one of Fandral’s hands down to his neck. The warrior stilled, bracing himself up with his other arm to look down at him.

Wordlessly, Loki nodded, spreading Fandral’s fingers and thumb apart, urging him to squeeze. The candlelight flickered, making it hard to read the warrior's expression. He stared up blinking, sure that he'd fucked up, until he felt Fandral press his hand tight around him.

Loki gasped almost in surprise, closing his eyes. His body went slack, euphoric that he had what he wanted at long last.
