'La Vie' [meaning 'Life' in English or 命 (Inochi) in Japanese], a 1984 metals and oils on canvas painting, by Yoshida Kenji (24 May 1924 - 24 February 2009), a Japanese abstract artist who was born in Ikeda City (池田市), part of present day Osaka Prefecture (大阪府). Known as the "Artist of the Soul" or the "Artist of Light", after having taught art at elementary schools in Osaka and Tokyo for many years, in 1964 at the age of forty, he famously quit the teaching profession to go to Paris, France. Yoshida worked out of his atelier in the Montparnasse district of Paris, and created many great works of art on the theme of “La Vie et La Paix”, or “Life and Peace”, thereby becoming one of the most prominent artists of his generation. He was a prolific artist until his death in 2009 at the age of 84.

The experiences of the six realms ~ Chögyam Trungpa And strangely enough, these experiences of the six realms - gods, jealous gods, human beings, animals, hungry ghosts, and hell - are ‘space’, different versions of space. It seems intense and solid, but in actual fact it isn’t at all. They are different aspects of space - that’s the exciting or interesting part. In fact, it is complete open space, without any colors or any particularly solid way of relating. That is why they have been described as six types of consciousness. It is pure consciousness rather than a solid situation - it almost could be called unconsciousness rather than even consciousness. The development of ego operates completely at the unconscious level, from one unconscious level to another unconscious level. That is why these levels are referred to as loka, which means 'realm’ or 'world’. They are six types of 'world’. Each is a complete unit of its own. In order to have a world, you have to have an atmosphere; you have to have space to formulate things. So the six realms are the fundamental space through which any bardo experience operates. Because of that, it is possible to transmute these spaces into six types of awakened state, or freedom. – Chögyam Trungpa from the book “The Collected Works of Chogyam Trungpa, Volume 6”

The Quest for Buddhism (98)
Buddhist cosmology
Loka - the world, plane or realm of existence in Buddhism
Loka is a concept in Indian religions, that means plane or realm of existence, which, together with Lokottara, divides the world into two parts. Loka means a world of change and a lost world that cannot escape destruction.
The term 'loka' refers to all beings in the world who are tainted by worldly desires and other vices, whereas the term 'lokottara’ refers to those who transcend such desires and vices.
There is a cosmological view in Buddhism called Trailokya (3 realms). In early Buddhism, based upon the Pali Canon and related Agamas, there are three distinct realms: First the Kama Loka, or the world of sensuality, in which humans, animals, and some devas reside, the second is Rupadhatu Loka, or the world of material existence, in which certain beings mastering specific meditative attainments reside, and the third is Arupadhatu Loka, or the immaterial, formless world, in which formless spirits reside. Arahants, who have attained the highest goal of Nirvana have unbound themselves from individual existence in any form, in any realm, and cannot be found here, there, or in between, i.e., they are found in no loka whatsoever. The early suttas also contain information regarding another important domain known as the supramundane realm, (Skt. lokottara, lit.“beyond the world”), which is described as being experienced by awakened noble beings.

I. Have. Been. Sharing. It. Every. Week. Since. It. Happened.
Here it is again. Despite threats from Leave Our Kids Alone, I won’t stop reporting on this."

A discussion on
Indradev/ Devraj Indra.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
(This is based on research and familiarity, and what I think he represents)
Devraj Indra a.k.a the king of the Gods, is also the lord of the Senses (Indriyas) and thoughts.
(Hari is Hrishikesh 'lord of Senses', making him the lord of Indra.
He's always depicted as arrogant, and full of pride at times. Afterwsrds he would realize and admit his mistake, then apologise to Bhagwan/Bhagwati.
This symbolises the mind of humans and our senses. Our way of thinking. We would feel arrogant at times. We would say, "this happened because of us". We would even feel like we're better than others. Then after facing a certain consequence, we realize that we were wrong. We apologize to Prabhu and promise to not make the mistake again. That is Indra.
It's so amazing how the Divine act like humans, just to teach us valuable things.
》 the fear of loosing the throne.
Devraj is always seen thinking that something or someone will become so strong and powerful, that they'll take his Singhasan (throne). So because of that fear, he as well as other devas would try to stop the Tapasya of Rakshasas, Rishis, or anyone who is doing strong tapasya in order to get a boon. However this contributes to the devotee's pariksha.
He's worried, because if he looses his throne, everything will be imbalanced. The panchabhootas would be out of control.
(The Rishi and the Rakshas/Asur (as mentioned) the Rishi doesn't desire to be on a royal throne. And the Rakshas/Asur is a form of adharm. And Dharma must prevail, in order to have balance)
Because of this, he protects his throne dutifully, for the sake of Jagat Kalyan.
Hence this represents the mind and soul.
If we dutifully protect our mind and soul, then how would something (like a thought, some type of negativity) come in to corrupt it. We're made up uf the Panchabootas and the 5 senses. We host thoughts in our minds, as well as emotions. Yet we must protect our seat (asana) which in the Soul, guided by Bhagwan/Bhagwati.
》The Apsaras.
He loves Nritya and Geet, as it's a divine gift of Mata Saraswati. The Apsara is always a form celestial feminine, as well as the Gandharvas were celestial males. Both talented in their skills and celestial appearance. The Devtao however respects them, because they're always in the mode of Sattwa (goodness, purity and godliness)
This, and their Somraas, symbomise the pleasures and fun of life. Everything comes into being, due to talent. And not an extraordinary talent. But something simple.
Talent as in being able to do something.
(We get food because people have a talent for cooking, we got entertainment because people have a talent for entertaining, we get jewelry because people have talent for making them, etc)
We find fun in nature because that's Prakriti, an extention of Maa Shakti. And who else represents Maa Shakti? Women. Hence the Apsaras.
Hope you enjoy this.
O son, always experience non-duality (advaita) in the heart, but do not at any time put non-duality in action. Non-duality is fit to be expressed even with the three Gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Siva in their three worlds, but know that non–duality is not fit to be expressed with the Guru.
— Sri Ramanopadesa Noonmalai - Ulladu Narpadu - Anubandham, V.39 pg.155-156 (pdf)
Note : Non-duality (advaita) is the experience in which it is clearly known that all forms of duality such as the mind, body and world are completely non-existent, and that self, the existence-consciousness ‘I am’, alone truly exists. Therefore, since action can be done only in the state of duality, in which the mind and body seem to exist, it is impossible to put non-duality into action. If anyone imagines that he can put non-duality into action, it is clear that he has no true experience of non-duality.
Even though one may go to Brahma-loka and say to Brahma, “You and I are one”, even though one may go to Vishnu-loka and say to Vishnu, “You and I are one”, and even though one may go to Siva-loka and say to Siva, “you and I are one”, one should never say to the Guru, “you and I are one.”
Why? Because although as an individual one may attain the power to create, sustain and destroy the universe, which are the functions of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva respectively, one can never attain the power to destroy the ignorance of others, which is the role of the Guru.
Even when the Guru has bestowed the experience of non-duality upon a disciple, thereby destroying his individuality and making him one with Himself, such a true disciple will ever continue to pay due respect and honour to the name and form of the Guru, because so long as separate individuals, each having a body and mind of his own, the differences between them will seem to exist. Therefore, even the disciple who has known the Reality, and who thus experiences in the heart that he is one with the Guru, will always behave outward as a humble slave of the Guru, thereby setting a worthy example for other disciples to follow.
This verse was composed by Sri Bhagavan on 16th February 1938 and is a translation of verse 87 of Sri Adi Sankara’s Tattvopadesa.
