what aus is currently creating the most brainrot for you 👀

Between and Little Mouse have been bouncing around in my head a lot as of late, along with a few I don't have names for.

What’s the Little Mouse AU?

Okay okay so. You know how Branch gets left behind during the Great Escape in the Between AU?

Yeah, I have... three different AUs based on that premise lmao. And Little Mouse came first actually! It's got Bridget focus because ofc 😌

It doesn't start off great, because toddlers, even little itty bitty Bridget who recently got a job in the castle as a scullery maid (a lot of how and why Bridget is a scullery maid is explored in this AU, and it's the source of my "Bergens like having work to do" hc fun fact!), are not the most emotionally equipped to care for another being, and Branch wasn't exactly making it easy. They're on much closer terms by the movie, with Branch acting as the mouse to Bridget's Cinderella, though Branch does move into Pop Village after the movie (they do keep in contact though).

There's a lot of fun and cute little details in this AU, like Bridget getting into fashion with Branch as a convenient model, Branch having a (Bergen-sized) sewing needle he uses as a staff/spear/whatever, Bridget singing more often prior to and during the first movie, and the two of them considering themselves as siblings! The True Colors scene is actually a lot easier in this AU for me than it is in Between because Bridget actually has low points in the movie, though I'm still undecided as to the song.
