“Will you come eat something with us?”
Draco was standing in the doorway of their bedroom, the light from the corridor spilling in the room, covering Draco into a golden hue. From where Harry was sitting on the bed, wrapped in the darkness, it looked as if Draco was glowing. He looked ethereal.
Slowly, Harry stood, his knees popping painfully from sitting down for so long. He hadn’t shaved in days and his hair looked probably even worse than it normally did. Yet, he still walked towards Draco, into his waiting arms.
“Thank you.”

The Little Things
A while back, I wrote this on Bluesky:
I’m not sure there’s a word for when your heart does that little internal happy dance, and for half a minute at least, you can feel joy like music in your bones.
But.
And yes. That feeling really is a rush of pure delight. And the littlest things can cause that lit-up sensation: getting a message from someone, seeing their face pop up somewhere, hearing the word yes. (I’ve felt that way, recently, and it has put such a smile on my face. A warm grin.)
I love the word yes. I love that it feels like possibilities, an open door, an extended hand. I love the curiosity that can be found in it, too.
Since Valentine’s Day is a couple of days away, and here is my wish for you:
May you know you are loved, just as you are in this moment (flaws and all, mess and all, bad habits and all). May you be shown your own beauty by someone else when you cannot see it (we all need a mirror sometimes). Beyond what you do or can do for someone else, know that you are adored for the person you are (who someone is as a person weighs far more than anything else – the measure of a heart, a soul, whatever you call it).
And may you find yourself delightfully surprised in some brilliant way. May you find your heart doing that little internal happy dance.

I always make sure to be soft in others homes. Tread lightly as to not leave a mark. Make sure there is as little evidence of my existence as possible. I keep myself small. My house never had any gracefulness in it. It was loud, there was always some slamming or screaming. So I keep quiet. I never want to make someone else’s house feel like mine.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
