No, you don’t understand. Reading Dostoyevsky or any kind of Russian literature is not difficult in itself. But identifying everyone and their relations and rembering everyone’s 4th newly introduced name is.

like others, I consume stories. I lose myself in their structures, their secrets; focus on the characters, the dialogue, the dynamics.
and quietly, I wonder to myself, why?
what is it that's inside me, pushing me to fill what i guess must be a yawning chasm of emptiness that i've convinced myself stories and books will cure?
stories really are drugs for me. and i cannot stop consuming them.

I've been wanting to buy a TGCF book for a while now, but been putting it off since the things I know about it is only from fan stuff like memes, fanart, etc.
Usually when buying books, romance (like, sweet romance and not extremely spicy stuff) and fantasy is what keeps me reading. And no, it's not like I want to read it *purely* for the intimacy and fantasy (it's just what piques my interest when buying books) but I just don't want to waste money on books that will probably just rot in my shelf like a little sad rat. So, honest opinions, is TGCF really that good, or is overhyped? (But from what I can tell, it's kinda good, but I don't want to assume.)

“It takes courage to live softly - to move slow, to be gentle, to not rush to judgment, to take your time, to speak unhurriedly, to fully listen to someone without being so readied to interrupt and speak, to not force or hustle, or to stay connected to your life force and deeper wellspring of creativity. It takes fearlessness to feel worthy of not constantly taking in new information. It takes an act of bravery to de to feel safe to just be.”

"I have grown to love secrecy. It seems to be the one thing that can make modern life mysterious or marvelous to us. The commonest thing is delightful if only one hides it."
