Pretty shy
Leo x Reader
Tumblr media
There was always something good about the acoustics in the gym. Which is why you like sneaking away to sing after school, when there isn't any sporting practice of any kind. You waste no time in slinging your backpack down on the bleachers. You start pulling homework out and singing along to the song coming through your headphones.
"My names Noel. In gym class I mostly duck, and I kinda smell. Puberty really sucks. I like this one guy but he's pretty shy."
You belt out the song while moving around gently to the beat. The next part of the song is louder and you raise your voice to match it.
"He doesn't know who I am, and he doesn't give a damn about me. Because I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby."
Bumping into someone behind you knocks you out of the cosy little world you were just in. Heat crawls up your neck as you turn to see who. It's not one, but four guys you have never talked to. The heroes from the news. Your heart drops into your stomach.
The one in blue reaches a hand out to you, while opening his mouth to speak. Without thinking you flinch back and immediately start cramming the homework right back into the backpack. Throwing your backpack over your shoulder, you bolt. Tripping over your own feet as you run out the doors. You don't see the dejected look on the turtles face.
A moment after April walks up to the guys. "What was even that?" She can't help but ask.
Raph snorts. "They took one look at nardo here and ran." Raph pats Leo's shoulder. "It must be hard being that ugly bro." Leo promptly smacks his hand away.
April frowns, not liking that answer.
*****
For the next few weeks you make yourself scarce. The only glimpse anyone can get of you is the back of your head. You're determined to stay far away from the turtles. It was working pretty well. Unfortunately for you today is a pep rally in the gym.
The whole school is packed in the gym. So many people everywhere. Luckily your headphones do block some of the noise. You decide to sneak up to the top of the bleachers. While squeezing your way up someone knocks into you. The momentum makes you lose your balance. Your backpack is not helping as the weight helps pull you over the guard rail.
A surprised gasp leaves you as you tumble over. Your headphones hit the ground first. Squeezing your eyes closed you try to brace for impact. The sound of sneakers scuffing the floor is all you hear before you land.
"Hey, I've got you. Are you ok?" A voice very close to you asks. It takes a moment for you to open your eyes. You realize the turtle in blue has caught you bride style. He gives you a nervous smile waiting for you to speak.
"Your eyes are brown." You say without thinking. He blinks in confusion. Your heart thunders in your chest. Why did you say that?
You are once again scrambling up and out of the gym. The first thing you do is run and hide in the bathroom. After closing the door, it swings right back open and smacks against the wall. You nearly jump out of your skin. April O'Neil herself is marching up to you. You very visibly gulp. She backs you up to the wall.
"What was that? Do you have some problem with mutants or something?" April asks, clearly annoyed.
"Wh-what? That's not-." Your eyes widen as you try to reply. April raises an eyebrow.
"Well, what is your problem then?" She asks curious. You sigh, your shoulders sagging.
"I just... They saved a whole city. But every time they see me, I look like an idiot." You finally admit. You run a hand down your face. April's eyes widen. Her annoyance dissolving.
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. You should try actually talking to them. They're all kind of huge dorks." April gives you a small smile. Thoughts of bacon, egg, and cheese fill April's head. You rub the back of your neck.
"I'm not sure that's a good idea." You mutter. April ignores your protest and grabs your hand to pull you along.
"Well, I mean Leo did just save you from a potentially broken neck, so I think the least you can do is say thank you."
"Oh ,um, right." Heat creeps back up your neck. You don't have to go far as Leo is waiting outside the bathroom. April officially introduces the two of you.
"You dropped these." Leo says holding up your missing headphones. A bright smile spreads across your face.
"Thank you." You say. Leo gently places them into your hands. You pull the headphones around your neck.
"Thanks for catching me too." You say softly looking away from Leo's face.
"Yeah, no problem. It was nothing. Not that you're nothing, you're totally something. It was just easy..to do." Leo rubs the back of his neck. Why did he say it like that?
You can't help, but smile at his rambling. Maybe it wasn't going to be so hard to get along with them.

Teenage Dirtbag - Eddie Munson
A/N: well, this keeps on working so far 😂😂😂 here's Eddie's story! and then is full Marauders, James, then Remus, and then Sirius! I hope you guys like it!
Request - lunamadhatter99 asked: I do have a request, my friend! I'm so happy requests are open😍 Anyway: Henderson!Reader x either Steve or Eddie (whoever works better for you), where the reader is very quiet, not necessarily shy, but still. She's targeted by the jocks too because she's the "loser" sister, you know, and maybe one day, one of their pranks went too far and she's very upset about it (maybe is the process a special possession of hers). Every time she gets bullied, Steve/Eddie helps her comfort her, especially because she doesn't want to tell his little brother, who thinks she is friends with them... does it make sense? I don't know, I'm sorry 😂👋
Warnings: mentions of sex; Billy being an asshole (also, this is kinda between s3 and 4 and Billy didn't die so Jason and Andy are his dumb friends I hope this makes sense) reader is kind of mean to Dustin (not really, she's just grumpy and a loner instead of shy, kind of like Kat in 10TIHAY)
Disclaimer: I don’t own Stranger Things :) gif isn’t mine :D

Teenage Dirtbag
'Cause I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby Listen to Iron Maiden, baby, with me, ooh
Tumblr media
“DUSTIN! Hurry up! Steve is gonna be here any second! We’re gonna be late!” you smashed your hand against the bathroom door, yelling for your brother to get ready. You had been feeling anxious all day. Something inside you told you that today might not be a good day and, as much as you tried not to, you took it out on Dustin.
“I’m coming! Geez, calm down!”
You rolled your eyes and walked over to the kitchen to finish your coffee and wash the dishes but you tripped over a bag full of garbage.
“Ugh! Dustin!” you yelled as he walked over to you.
“What? What did I do now?”
“The trash is your chore” you complained, grabbing the bag and handing it to him. “When I say take out the trash, I mean outside of the house. To the trashcan!”
“Maybe you can show me for next time” he laughed.
“Maybe I can give your Nintendo to goodwill” you smirked back, erasing the smirk off his face.
“Fine, sorry” he said, grabbing the bag and going outside.
“Let’s go!” you said as soon as you heard Steve’s car parking on your driveway.
“Wait, where’s lunch?”
“Oh, shit!” you said, grabbing some of the money you left near the door in case Dustin needed to order food. “Here” you said, grabbing $10 for yourself and giving Dustin $5.
“Why do you get $10 and I get $5?” Dustin complained.
“Take out the freaking trash!” you replied, mocking his exact same tone.
“Good morning, Hendersons!” Steve smiled as you got in the front and Dustin got in the back.
“Thanks for the ride, Steve” you said. “Robin still out of town?” you asked, confused to not see her there already.
“Yeah, she’s coming back next week-”
“Why are we even going this early? School doesn’t start for another hour!” Dustin asked on the ride to school. “And why do you always ride shotgun?”
“Because I’m Steve’s favorite Henderson” you smirked. “And Steve has an early shift, so I wasn’t going to make him wait for us” you explained. “Plus, I have to get together with Nancy for something about the school paper” you informed him.
“Well, I could have taken my bike-”
“Just say thank you, Dustin!”
“Thank you” he said, rolling his eyes a little.
“Hey, aren’t those your old friends?” Dustin asked as Steve drove into the parking lot. You looked to where he was pointing to see the basketball players hanging outside the school with some of the cheerleaders.
“No” both you and Steve replied at the same time.
“Are you sure?” Dustin asked, confused. He recognized some of them, although he had noticed you never talked to them anymore.
“I’m sure” you said, rolling your eyes. “Just… stay away from them, okay?”
“Okay” he said, unconvinced. “Um, are we having movie night?” he asked Steve.
“Yeah, my house” he nodded.
“Cool. I think we’re going to Mike’s after school, so I’ll see you there” he told them.
“Okay” you nodded. Dustin started opening his door but you stopped him. “Dusty” you said, making him look confused at you. You rarely called him that anymore. “Nothing… I’ll see you at Steve’s” you told him and he nodded before he got out.
You saw him make his way over to Mike, Will, Lucas, Max, and El and you heard him complain about you and all of them saying how you used to be fun and happy all the time. You let out a sigh of frustration, throwing your head back on the chair.
“You know, you could just… tell him” Steve shrugged.
“I’m good” you told him.
“Dustin’s just worried about you” he insisted. “And to be honest, so am I-”
“Harrington, I know my brother’s your best friend now-”
“That’s not true” he glared at you.
“But you were my friend first and you promised we wouldn’t discuss this with Dustin” you told him.
“I’m just… a little confused, okay? Why did you all of the sudden stop hanging out with them like, what, a year ago?”
“You did too!” you argued.
“Well, yeah, because they’re assholes-”
“Exactly” you told him.
“But, now you’re here alone, because I graduated, I just don’t want you to be alone-”
“I’m fine on my own” you shrugged. “Plus… Eddie’s my friend-”
“Oh, right… Munson. That’s another thing. I know something happened last Halloween, okay? You mysteriously stop hanging out with all of our friends, you started wearing darker clothes, darker makeup and you start hanging around with Eddie, the freak, Munson-”
“I told you to stop calling him that” you glared at him.
“Which you also hide from Dustin-”
“Well, I just don’t want him to think that the only reason he and his friends are in Hellfire is because I asked Eddie to look after them-”
“But you did-”
“Steve, it is too early in the morning to have this discussion” you said, rubbing your temple.
“Fine… I’ll drop it” he said. “For now” he added, making you glare at him a little. “You working today?”
“No, it’s my day off” you informed him.
“Cool, want me to pick you up after work?”
“You sure it’s not too much trouble?”
“Nah, you’re my favorite Henderson after all” he smirked.
“I knew it!” you said, kissing his cheek before you opened the door. “See you later, Stevie” you said.
“Have a good day, kid” he waved at you.
He noticed you walking close to the group of jocks and they yelled something at you but you simply flipped them off and kept walking. Steve felt a bit uneasy about it but decided he would ask you about it when he picked you up. Sooner or later, you had to talk to him.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
“Hey, princess” you felt a small smile, trying to contain the butterflies you felt in your stomach when you heard that voice. You turned around to see Eddie smiling at you.
“Munson, I thought you were standing me up today” you said as he sat at your usual table in the woods, past the bleachers.
“Wouldn’t dream of it, love” he said, sitting in front of you. “What do you got for me today?”
“I forgot to make lunch, so I had to grab something from the vending machine” you said, putting your cigarette out. “So, pretzels, or Reeses Pieces?”
“You just… happened to pick my two favorite things?” he smirked. “If I didn’t know any better, Henderson, I would think you like me” he mocked you.
“Uh-huh, is that a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? And two cokes?” your sked, looking at his bag.
“Grape jelly. Your favorite” he winked at you.
“Huh, if I didn’t know any better, Munson, I would think you like me” you returned the smirk.
“Wanna split it?” he asked and you nodded as you split the three things between the two of you. “So, what are you working on?” he asked, about to grab your sketchbook.
“Nothing!” you quickly said, putting it away before he could get it.
“Oh, that doesn’t sound suspicious at all” he mocked you. “Come on, show me!”
“It’s just… a work in progress” you told him. “It’s not finished yet” you insisted.
“Fine, be all mysterious” he chuckled. “Hey, did you get new colored pencils?” he asked, grabbing one of them.
“Oh, um… y-yeah” you said nervously. “There was a discount at the store where I work and-”
“Really?” he raised his eyebrow at you. “Or were your old ones… broken?”
“Um… there may have been an… incident-”
“Who?” he asked, his tone turning angry.
“It doesn’t matter, Eddie-”
“Yes, it does! Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because I don’t want you to get into a fight and not graduate with me this year” you told him, making him laugh just barely. “Look, it’s fine. I really did get a discount and…” you said, looking through your bag. “I got markers too” you smiled brightly at him. “Look!”
You stood from your place and sat down on the table with your feet on the bench next to Eddie. You grabbed his hand and placed it on your knee, which was not an uncommon thing for you to do whenever you drew something on him but he felt his cheeks blushing. You quickly drew a small doodle of the Hellfire symbol using different colors and you smiled when you were done, showing it to him. Eddie rarely get to see that smile on you and he loved it when it happened.
“Holy shit!” he smiled, looking down at his hand. It looked cooler than the one in his shirt.
“Do you like it?” you asked, bashfully.
“I love it, princess! This is amazing!” he said, looking back at you. “You’re amazing” he smiled.
“Um, thanks” you said, looking down at his hand and feeling your cheeks burn. You could not ignore the butterflies in your stomach any longer. You grabbed his hand and stroked your thumb against your new drawing. “Uh, a-actually, what I didn’t want to show you is um… kind of… a surprise…” you admitted, not facing him.
You saw Eddie’s hand untangle from yours and make its way up to your chin, lifting your head gently and making you look into his beautiful, chocolate-brown eyes.
“A surprise?” he asked, smiling brightly. You simply nodded, unable to form any words by the way he was looking at you. “What is it?”
“If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise!” you chuckled. “I just want to finish it before I show it to you” you told him.
“Okay, fine” he said, as his hand suddenly found its way back to yours and you started playing with his rings. “But… you promise you’ll show it to me when it’s done?”
“I promise. I mean, it’s kind of… for you” you told him.
“Really?” he asked, and you nodded.
“Yeah, it’s kind of… a thank you” you admitted. “For everything” you added. “Even for my brother and his friends. Thanks for letting them in Hellfire” you told him. “I know they're a bit weird but… I love them and I'm happy they found someone like you” you said.
“My pleasure, princess” he told you. “They’re cool kids” he chuckled. “Especially Dustin” he added. “Although he keeps asking me why I always have different doodles all over me” he chuckled.
“Yeah, he’s pretty smart” you laughed too. “I don’t think it’ll be long before he realizes about us” you said, without really thinking. “I m-mean uh-”
“Us?” Eddie smirked. “And exactly what would he realize?” he asked, getting up and towering a little over you, placing his hands on both your sides. “That we’re friends?” he asked, with the same smirk still plastered on his face.
“Y-yeah, I guess” you said innocently.
“Would he mind?”
“Um- I don’t think so, I just… don’t want him to think that you’re only his friend b-because of me” you explained.
“Oh, he wouldn’t think that” he assured you, as he gently brushed your hair away from your face. “And… what if he thinks there’s something else between us?”
“Is there?” you asked, as you felt him getting closer. And then the bell rang. The stupid bell rang. “Fuck!”
“Ignore that” he pleaded.
“No! We have a Math test” you said, pushing him away and gathering all of your things. “I told you, Eddie, you’re graduating this year, with me. Let’s go!” you threatened him.
“You’re killing me, sweetheart” he said, as you pulled him with you but he was stronger and he pulled you back. “To be continued?” he smirked.
For the first time in what felt like a lifetime, you smiled. It was a different smile, one that you didn’t think you had in you anymore and you could see Eddie noticed it. You leaned in and kissed his cheek.
“To be continued, Munson” you said, before you started pulling him towards the school despite his protests.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
You were waiting in the parking lot for Steve. As much as you wanted, you were not able to be with Eddie alone the rest of the day. You were hoping to catch him at the end but, as a surprise to no one, he got detention, so here you were.
“Well, if it isn’t my lucky day?”
You cursed under your breath, silently begging for Steve’s car to appear any moment now. But no such luck.
“Hargrove” you sighed. “Oh, if it isn’t Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum” you smirked at Jason and Andy, standing with Billy.
“Fancy meeting you here, babe” Billy smirked at you.
“Can’t say the same” you said, trying to walk away but he stepped in front of you. “What do you want, Hargrove?”
“See, I have a question for you” he said. “Andy here, says he saw you coming out of those woods with Eddie fucking Munson” he said, getting closer to you and making you take a step back. “Is that true?”
“I fail to see how that’s any of your business, really” you glared at him.
“Well, for starters, I think Munson can do better” he said, making Andy and Jason laugh.
“Lovely” you rolled your eyes, trying to walk away again but they blocked your way.
“Aw, did I strike a nerve there? Do you have a crush on Munson?” he mocked you.
“Just, leave me alone, Billy-” you said, trying to leave but, you felt your sketchbook being taken from you.
“Oh, what is this?” Jason asked, opening the sketchbook. “Do you write your love letters to that freak here?” he laughed.
“Give that back!” you said, trying to get it back from him.
“Oh, it’s even better than that!” he said, showing your sketches to Billy and Andy who started laughing.
“Give me that!” you said as he tossed it to Billy.
“Looks like you’re a bit obsessed with him, babe” he said, looking at your drawings. “I’m guessing you wouldn’t want anything to happen to this, would you?” he said, tearing a few pages apart.
“Billy, give it back!” you yelled, but he pushed you back, making you fall to the ground, your hands aching when they hit the pavement.
“Whoops, clumsy me” he said, tossing your sketchbook on a nearby water puddle.
“Stop it!” you said, getting up and trying to get to it but Andy pushed you away.
“HEY! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?”
“You want something, freak?” Jason yelled, smirking.
“Oh, speak of the devil” Billy smirked as Eddie approached all of you.
“Get the fuck away from her” he said, making his way over to Billy.
“Why don’t you keep walking and mind your business, freak?”
“You know, I gotta say, even for you, it’s pretty low, three guys against one girl” he smirked, erasing Billy’s.
“You really think it’s worth it? Standing up for that slut-?”
Before Billy could go on, Eddie quickly punched him in the face.
“Eddie!”
“You’re dead, freak!” Jason said, punching Eddie back while Billy got up, laughing.
“Looks, like you got some fire in you, Munson!” he yelled before he punched him too.
“Eddie!” you yelled, trying to get to him but Andy stopped you. “Stop it!”
“You having fun, Munson?” Billy smirked as he landed punches on Eddie before he grabbed him by his jacket. “No one tells me what to do!” he said before he pushed him to the ground again. He then threw himself at Eddie and started landing punch after punch, like a madman. The last time you had seen Billy like this was when he fought Steve and it shook you to your core.
“STOP IT! BILLY, STOP!”
“You really think you traded up, babe?” he smirked, looking at you. “He’s even worse than Harrington!”
“STOP IT, PLEASE!” you said, as tears started welling up in your eyes.
“Aw, you gonna cry, princess?” he said, mocking Eddie’s voice with the last word.
As if your prayers were finally answered, a car reeled in front of you, almost hitting Jason.
“What the fuck, Harrington?” he asked as Steve got out of the car.
“What the fuck is going on here?”
“Come join the party, Harrington” Billy smirked at him, finally letting go of Eddie. “Ready for round two?”
“Yeah, let me just get my friend here” Steve smirked, grabbing his bat out.
“Dude, what the fuck?” Andy said, letting go of you, and slowly walking away with Jason. You quickly ran over to Eddie, pushing Billy aside.
“Ready to go, Hargrove?” Steve said, walking closer to him as he and the other two stepped away.
“You know what? She’s not even fucking worth it” Billy said, throwing one last glare at you. “Let’s just go” he told Jason and Andy as they walked away.
“Eddie! Oh my God, Eddie! Can you hear me?”
“Do I have a concussion or did King Steve Harrington just save my ass?”
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
“Ouch!”
“Sorry, I’m sorry” you apologized, taking the cotton ball away.
You were now in Steve’s kitchen, cleaning Eddie up. You carefully pulled his hair up in a messy bun with your scrunchie so you could see him better. You placed your hand softly on his cheek and your heart broke seeing a big purple bruise printed on his left eye. He looked at you with his huge, deep brown puppy eyes and you had to take a deep breath to not lose it right there because you knew he needed you.
“You okay?” Eddie asked, worriedly.
“M-me? You’re asking if I’m okay? Eddie, Billy and Jason just beat the shit out of you, and you’re asking if I’m okay?”
“First of all, I’d like to think that I handled that with dignity. Secondly, you fell to the ground and that idiot Andy was hurting you” he said, grabbing your hand and tracing his thumb gently on the bruises forming in your arms where Andy grabbed you.
“I’m really sorry, Eddie” you said, coming out in a whisper and tracing your thumb against the now fading drawing you made earlier on his hand. A small tear fell down your cheek and Eddie quickly wiped it away before he cupped your cheek.
“Princess, you have nothing to be sorry for” he assured you.
“Yes, I do! You wouldn’t have gotten hurt if it wasn’t for me” you insisted.
“Hey” he said, pulling you closer to him. “I would do it all over again, love” he smiled at you.
“Hey, man” Steve said, coming into the kitchen and making you and Eddie jump apart. “Uh, sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt. I got some clean clothes for you” he said offering Eddie a shirt and some sweatpants.
“Thanks, man” Eddie smiled, grabbing the clothes from him. “I’m uh- gonna go change and I’ll get out of your way-”
“We’re having movie night” Steve blurted out of the sudden. “We’re ordering pizza and Dustin, Mike, and the rest are coming over. If you’d like to stay” he offered.
“Oh, I wouldn’t want to intrude, man-”
“You’re not intruding. It’s the least I can do after you got hit for me” you told him.
“You keep bruising my ego, Henderson” he smirked at you. “What are we watching?” Eddie asked, interested.
“Gremlins” you told him.
“Seriously?” he asked, raising his eyebrow at Steve.
“Don’t look at me, man. It was her turn to choose the movie!” he said pointing at you.
“Shut up, you two. Gremlins is an awesome movie!”
“Isn’t that what you call your brother and his friends?” Eddie laughed. “I didn’t know that was your favorite movie, princess” he said. “Well, how can I say no to that masterpiece and pizza, I really can’t” he said, leaving the kitchen.
“So…” Steve started.
“So?”
“Are we going to talk about what happened today or are we just going to pretend nothing happened?”
“What do you want me to say?”
“Well, you can choose between telling me why your sketchbook has smudgy drawings of Eddie” he said, opening your wet, torn, destroyed sketchbook. “Or why Hargrove and his friends were beating the shit out of him in the parking lot” he added.
“Steve, I don’t want to talk about it-”
“Well, tough. Look, we’ve been friends for a very long time now. I told you why I stopped talking to Tommy and Carol and all of our friends but you never told me why you did and somehow Munson knows!” he argued. “I get that you don’t tell Dustin everything because you want to protect him but what is so horrible that you couldn’t tell me?”
“You don’t want to know-”
“Yes, I do! You’re my best friend! You can tell me anything!”
“You’re gonna hate me!”
“What? No! I swear, okay? Nothing you say will make me hate you! We’ve been through enough shit that you should know that already-”
“I slept with Billy!” you blurted out.
“W-what?” Steve asked, hoping he hadn’t heard you right.
“What?” another voice asked, from another side of the kitchen. Dustin.
“Oh, you have to be fucking kidding me!” you said, feeling like you were going to throw up. “What are you doing here?”
“We all just got here, I was looking for you” he said, walking closer to you and Steve. “You slept with Billy Hargrove, what the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Dustin!” Steve warned.
“You know what? I don’t want to deal with this right now” you said, grabbing your damped sketchbook and walking out of the house to Steve’s backyard. Dustin was about to follow you but Steve stopped him.
“Look, I get that you’re upset but you’re not going out there if you’re only going to upset your sister more. She had a hard day-”
“Well, how would I know that, Steve? She doesn’t talk to me!”
“What’s with all the yelling?” Eddie said, coming back into the kitchen.
“Eddie? What are you doing here?” Dustin asked confused. “What the fuck happened to you?”
“Uh- I am…” he looked at Steve, unsure as to what to say.
“Okay, what the fuck is going on? And what are you two and my sister hiding from me?”
“We’re not hiding anything from you. You need to calm down and we can go sort this out, okay?”
“Fine” Dustin said, unconvinced.
“You promise you won’t snap at her like you just did” Steve glared at him a little.
“Okay” he sighed, rolling his eyes. The three of them walked outside to find you sitting on one of Steve’s pool chairs. Steve and Eddie sat next to you and Dustin sat on the edge of the one you were sitting in. “Uh, hey” he said, nervously. “Um-” he continued when both Steve and Eddie glared at him. “I’m sorry I snapped at you earlier” he muttered.
“It’s fine, Dusty” you said, sitting up and hugging your legs to you.
“Look, Dustin and I are just worried about you” Steve continued. “We don’t want to push you or anything, we just… want to know what’s going on with you” he added. You looked up at Eddie and he softly nodded at you. He really wanted to hold your hand but he figured Dustin might freak out about it too.
“Um…” you took a deep breath. “Look, I know that… I’ve kind of been pulling away” you started. “And I’m sorry, it’s just…” you sighed. “It was a stupid mistake and I didn’t want either one of you to hate me” you admitted.
“What- uh, when?” Dustin stuttered. “Um, no, y-you go” he said.
“It just happened once” you informed them.
“At… last year’s Halloween party?” Steve guessed and you nodded.
“Look, I was… really drunk and, dad had just left and… mom was kind of a mess and… I don’t know, I guess I was too” you said, sadly.
“Wait, I was there that night, why didn’t you tell me anything?” Steve asked, confused.
“You had your own shit going on” you reminded him. “With Nancy” you added. “So, after you left I got drunker and… then I don’t know, Billy was just there and… it happened” you sighed. “And after I felt so awful” you told them. “When I came down I ran into Eddie and he saw I was upset” you explained. “He drove me home and… he stayed with me and he made sure I was okay” you smiled. “That’s how we became friends-”
“You two are friends?” Dustin asked. “I knew I recognized your doodles” he said, looking at the metalhead.
“Sorry I didn’t tell you” you told Dustin. “I just… didn’t want to get into the whole thing and… it’s not really the conversation you have with your little brother” you admitted.
“I get that but… we used to talk about everything” Dustin said, sadly. “We were always kind of a team and for the past year it just felt like… you hated me” he said.
“Dusty” you said, sitting closer to him and hugging him. “I could never hate you” you assured him. “I am so sorry I pushed you away, I was just… so embarrassed about what happened and, I kind of wanted to forget the whole thing and I guess that in the midst of it all I just… ended up pushing everyone away” you explained.
“So, what happened today?” Dustin asked, confused.
“Well, I was waiting for Steve to pick me up and Billy and his friends just started being idiots” you told him. “Eddie saw and tried to help me” you continued. “And then Steve got there with his bat and they went away” you told him.
“So, that’s why you tell me to stay away from them? I mean, I always knew Billy was a dick but… all of your friends?”
“Well, yeah. I told Billy that if he ever said a word about what happened to anyone, I’d tell everyone he cried like a bitch and he had a small dick” you said, making the three of them laugh a little. “And then, either I just stopped talking to them or they would stop talking to me and… it wasn’t just Billy, you know? You were right” you said, looking at Steve. “They were all just… assholes” you admitted.
“I could have told you that a long time ago” Eddie chuckled.
“You okay?” Dustin asked you.
“Yeah” you smiled. “I’m sorry… about… everything” you told him. “Both of you” you said, looking at Steve.
“Don’t worry” Dustin smiled at you. “I love you dumb-dumb” he said, putting his fist so you would bump it.
“Love you too, dumb-dumb” you smiled back and bumped his fist. “No more lies” you promised and he nodded, smiling.
“It’s fine” Steve said, getting up and kissing your head. “C’mon little Henderson, let’s go set everything up” Steve said, patting Dustin on his back.
“Wait, why do I have to go?” he complained, still getting up.
“Just be nice to your sister, man, she’s been through a lot” Steve complained.
“What about me? I have been through a lot too!” he said, dramatically as they went inside, leaving you and Eddie alone.
“Hey” you smiled back at Eddie.
“Hi, princess” he said, moving over to take Dustin’s place in front of you. “How are you feeling?”
“Not so bad” you sighed. “I still would have preferred not to discuss my sex life with my little brother but… it is what it is” you chuckled.
“Sorry about your sketchbook, love” he said, looking at it on the floor.
“It’s okay” you sighed, going through the damped pages. “It just… might take me a little longer to finish your surprise now” you said, sadly.
“Wait, is that… is that me?” he asked, feeling his heart flutter.
“It… was supposed to be” you told him. “I mean, your D&D character” you muttered. “I… wanted to um… I was trying to get it right and I thought you m-might like it-”
“It’s perfect, princess” he smiled at you.
“It’s ruined, Eddie” you chuckled.
“Well, then I guess I need to get you another sketchbook, love” he said, grabbing it from you.
“You don’t have to get me one, Eddie” you smiled as he scootched closer to you.
“Jesus, Henderson would you just let me do something nice for you” he smiled, cupping your cheek with his hand.
“You do nothing but nice things for me, Munson” you smiled.
“What can I say? You bring out the best in me, sweetheart” he smiled back.
“Well, in that case, maybe you can do one more nice thing for me” you said, pulling him by his shirt, well, Steve’s shirt and he pulled you gently, brushing his thumb against your cheek.
“Gladly, princess” he said, smiling before he finally connected his lips with yours. He felt you smiling against his lips as you started deepening the kiss before you were rudely interrupted.
“Hey guys, pizza’s here- what the fuck?” you jumped apart when you heard Dustin’s voice again, with Lucas, Will, and Max standing next to him, trying not to laugh. “You two are together? I thought there were no more lies!”
“Would you believe me that this literally just happened, Henderson?”
The End

Teenage Dirtbag | Sebastian (Stardew Valley)
cross-posted from my wattpad
prompt -  in which the farmer's big move isn't necessarily entirely their choice, but they've made peace with it.
warnings - canon divergence
gender-neutral farmer (they/them pronouns used)
⦿ pelican town, winter year 1
IT HAD BEEN ALMOST A FULL YEAR SINCE I MOVED. This was a fleeting thought, one that hint me suddenly before being dismissed as not a big deal. I didn't really think about it again until Robin brought it up one day while I was there to talk to her about building a stable.
"I have to say, what you've done with that farm is really impressive. I know it wasn't necessarily your choice of life, but you've gotta admit you've done a lot in under a year, Farmer," she complimented sincerely. I knew that she meant it, and that she was probably right, but I had to bite my tongue from verbally refusing her praise.
I instead just offered a tight-lipped smile, and chose the only out I could think of. "A year already. That's crazy." I did my best to seem amazed, but my acting admittedly wasn't great. I'm sure Robin knew exactly what I was doing in avoiding the conversation. She let it rest though, and for that I would always be grateful.
We finished discussing the payment and materials for the stable and I bid her farewell, zipping my coat back up to my nose as I headed for the snow outside.
"Be careful out there, please," Robin hurriedly called just as I was reaching the front door. She caught me a bit by surprise, and when I turned to look at her, I'm sure my eyes betrayed that fact. Her face reddened, "I know you take the mountain path, and it gets extra icy up there."
Before I could say anything to wave off her concerns, another head appeared around the corner. Sebastian had apparently decided to come up from his room for the day, and upon hearing his mother talking, was curious to see who was in the entryway.
Our eyes met, and out of courtesy, I gave a small wave. It took him a moment to process, but he sent me a groggy half-smile in return. We admittedly didn't know each other well – not that I knew anyone in town well, really – but I did seem to always run into him when I came to visit his mom. We didn't really talk when we did see each other, partially because he seems to hate people, and partially because I don't know how to talk to people my own age.
I cleared my throat, quickly turning my attention from Sebastian to Robin. "I'll walk through town," I reassured her. I knew that I would most likely change my mind and take my usual route the minute she was out of sight, but sometimes white lies are okay if they help people sleep at night.
"You can walk with Sebastian, then," Robin hastily offered up, alarming both myself and her son.
Sebastian's eyebrows flew upwards. "They can?" he asked, his face blank. He had just rolled out of bed. Obviously, he was not anticipating going into town this early.
Robin, however, either didn't notice this, or didn't care. She instead just gave him an affirmative nod. "You told me yesterday you'd pick the stuff for dinner up from Pierre's for me. Remember?"
"Well yeah," He quickly covered. His eyes flickered to me for just a second, before frantically flashing back to his mother. "I wasn't planning on going, like, now."
A sour expression crossed Robin's face, and she looked like she was going to argue. I knew that she was trying to passively teach him something about manners, but I wasn't afraid of a little snow.
I spoke up before she had the chance. "I appreciate it, Robin, but the snow is a walk in the park compared to the mines," I explained lightly. She still looked uncertain, so I reassured her one more time, "I'll be fine. It's not snowing as hard now as it was earlier."
Robin sighed, apparently admitting defeat. "Alright. I'll come see you tomorrow morning about that stable."
I nodded thankfully, "Right, thank you. I'll see you then." This time, I dismissed thoughts of courtesy and avoided Sebastian's eyes entirely as I slipped out the front door.
I wanted nothing more than to run home to a bottle of wine and Queen of Sauce reruns, but after all of that, my conscience didn't let me take the short way home. Robin clearly cared a lot about me getting home safely – more than I cared about me getting home safely – and it felt wrong to lie to her.
I shoved my hands into my jacket pockets as I walked, my shoulders hunched against the lightly falling snowing. The cold air pinched my nose, and I sneezed, which was enough motivation to get me to pull jacket up even higher.
I didn't mind the snow or the cold too much, but walking in it would never be my favorite thing. As I trudged through town, I was reminded of my walks alone to school as a child on days when my mother worked early and couldn't drop me off. I sighed, as I typically did when I thought of her. I loved her dearly, and she was my hero growing up, but as a young adult, I could only seem to remember all the ways she did me wrong.
Like guilt tripping me into dropping everything and moving to my grandfather's farm, for example. I'm half convinced she's the one who coerced him to leave it to me in the will, if I'm honest. She apparently wasn't a fan of my life in the city.
By the time I got back to the farmhouse, my legs ached. I cursed Robin under my breath as I screwed the cork out of a new bottle of wine, but realistically, the extra walk was nice. I sighed to myself as I curled up under the wool blanket I kept draped over the couch. Whatever resentment I was harboring towards this town and the people in it, I needed to shake. For better or for worse, this was my life now. And it really wasn't all that bad.
⦿
I WAS BREWING A POT OF COFFEE WHEN SOMEONE KNOCKED ON MY DOOR THE NEXT MORNING. I knew that it had to be Robin, so I stepped away from the kitchen to answer it. I jumped a little bit when I discovered that it was not Robin, but rather her son.
My heart started racing. "Is your mom okay?" I blurted, forgetting all formalities. He raised his eyebrows at my comment, surprise flashing across his face. His awkward fidgeting suddenly reminded me that he was probably just as uncomfortable as I was. I cleared my throat, "Sorry."
"No, it's okay," he awkwardly said. "At least you... um, care... I guess." I nodded, and a brief silence overtook the conversation. Sebastian quickly explained the situation, "She sent me to tell you she's not coming today. I guess she woke up with a cold, I don't know. I always feel like shit when I wake up as early as she does, so."
His mention of the time got me thinking, and I glanced at my wrist watch. It was hardly 8. "Isn't this early for you?" I asked.
He nodded, a groggy scowl on his lips. "Trust me, I'm not here by choice," he grumbled. After a second, he added, "no offense."
I shrugged off his apology. "I didn't get up much before ten when I lived at home," I responded, hoping it would ease a bit of the odd tension in the air.
"I bet that change must've sucked," he said.
I nodded, "it did."
There was another awkward pause. Had socializing always been this difficult? Sebastian cleared his throat to say something – goodbye, I'm sure – but sneezed instead. A shiver seemed to run up his spine, and I realized that he was wearing pajama pants, slippers, and a hoodie. In the snow. At 8 am.
"Um, do you want a cup of coffee?" I found myself asking. The socialization was awkward, but I wasn't going to let him freeze to death. I guess I do have compassion for other people.
Take that, mom.
He took a moment to process my offer. "Ah," he started, awkwardly scratching at the back of his neck. I felt a refusal coming, which I was honestly fine with – at least I offered. But after a look around the snowy fields, and then a long assessment of my face, he sighed. "You don't mind?"
I shook my head, a tiny smile on my pursed lips. "I'm not gonna drink an entire pot of coffee by myself," I responded.
That seemed to be the right answer, as he actually smiled. "Thanks," he mumbled shyly. I just returned his smile and showed him to the kitchen.
The pot was just finishing up when I returned to the countertop, hoping that Sebastian would seat himself without instruction needed. The soft sound of wood scraping against wood told me my hopes were answered.
I poured two mugs of coffee and grabbed a bowl of cream before joining my guest at the table. I only really had two chairs, as I had been focused on other things, and I didn't typically entertain enough guests to need multiple chairs, anyway. I didn't typically entertain guests at all.
Sebastian muttered another "thank you" as he wrapped his hands around the warm mug. This time I actually told him he was welcome, mostly because I didn't know what to talk about, and it would be significantly harder to excuse awkward silence now that he was in my house. It didn't matter, though. The kitchen grew quiet anyway.
"I can't believe you left the city for this," Sebastian eventually blurted as his eyes traveled around the farmhouse. When I raised an eyebrow at him, his face reddened. "Sorry. Your farm is really nice, too, I just mean..." he trailed off, his embarrassment outweighing his desire to explain himself.
I fought back my extreme amusement to give him a relatively vague answer, hoping to push the subject away. "I can't believe it either, sometimes," was all I said. I figured he could interpret that however he liked.
To my dismay, my guest seemed more curious about my backstory that I would've predicted. "Why did you move out here? I mean, I know the farm was your grandfather's, or whatever, but you chose to move."
The sleep had more or less vanished from his face, and he instead sat in front of me bright-eyed, genuinely intrigued in my answer. It would've been endearing, possibly even flattering, if it wasn't such a sore subject. I quickly reminded myself that I had just promised that I would let my resentment go. I sighed, "It's a long story."
He glanced at my watch, wordlessly pointing out that we had time for a long story. Even passively, he managed to be a smartass.
"I didn't really choose to move," I prefaced. I watched as his face darkened, a similar embarrassment to earlier spreading across his expression. Before he made himself feel too bad, I told the story. "My mom more or less made that choice for me. She didn't really agree with the choices I made or the people I spent time with after I graduated high school. And I guess I can't blame her.
When my grandfather died last year, I had pretty much just turned twenty, and still pretty dependent on my parents in a lot of ways. My dad and I had this big argument one day, and then the next night my mom was more or less blackmailing me into moving out to the farm."
It was quiet for a second as Sebastian tried to decipher if I was done. When he decided that I was, he said, "I get it. You didn't like, want to come here. That makes sense."
I shrugged." I mean, I didn't hate my life in Zuzu. I got into trouble, made some mistakes here and there," I paused, my face dipped to hide my embarrassment. I reeled it back, "I was just starting to really try and figure my life out. And then all of a sudden I was just living an entirely new life. It's like I didn't get a break from feeling out of place."
He nodded like he understood the feeling, though I'd never ask if he did or not. The was a pause, and then he asked, "Do you plan on going back, then?"
It was a weird situation to be in. On one hand, this was the question that haunted me every night as I fell asleep. On the other, I never imagined that Robin's son, of all people, was going to be the one to finally make me face it.
"Not at the moment," I settled, He made a face, and I added, "I like it here, even if I don't like admitting it. I'm finally adjusting to it, and I don't want to just drop everything again."
He nodded pensively as he took a long sip from his mug, his shoulders relaxing. I half expected him to disagree with my opinion. He gave me the impression he wasn't exactly fond of his hometown. To my surprise, he instead conceded, "Living here is... nice."
I agreed, and then because I couldn't think of anything else to say, I resorted to finishing my coffee. The room fell back into silence, but it wasn't quite as uncomfortable this time around.
When both of our coffee mugs were empty, Sebastian wasted no time in excusing himself – something I appreciated. I was already prepared to tell him that I had to go check on the chickens, but he mentioned needing to go back to his mom before I have to use my excuse.
I walked him to the door, as any good host would, and suddenly found myself in the awkward place of not knowing how to say goodbye. I didn't think that we were exactly friends, but we certainly knew each other a lot better now than we did when he got here. I was able to admit to myself that having an acquaintance in town felt kind of nice.
"Tell your mom I hope she feels better, and to not worry about the stable," I requested. I watched as he nodded, his expression stoic. Sighing internally, I forced myself to swallow my pride. "It was also nice to talk to you, for a change."
It took a second for him to process my words, but once he did, an honest smile popped onto his face. "Yeah, you too," he returned meekly.
I gave him a small smile. After a brief pause, he scratched at the back of his neck, his expression suddenly covered with what looked like the desire to flee. I was almost expecting him to turn and leave without saying anything else, but he instead cleared his throat and said, "Thanks again for the coffee. Um, next time you're over to talk to my mom, you should come say hi."
His words caught me off guard, but I think I managed to smile and nod like a normal person. My reaction – though I don't remember it – seemed to be appropriate, as I received a smile in return. He sent me a small wave before pulling his hood up over his ears and trudging out into the snow.
An unfamiliar feeling thumped in my chest as I went back inside to clear the dishes from the table. My day would fall into a routine after that, just like every day seemed to in Pelican Town. I found that I didn't really mind.

Eddie's Dream Girl 💫
Summary; Eddie meets his dream girl who just so happens to be Dustin's sister. She's performing at Hawkins High Talent shown and he's smitten.
Eddie Munson x Henderson Reader.
Warnings; none, swearing.
I'm aware Teenage Dirtbag didn't come out until 2000 so this is definitely an AU story.
As always I appreciate anyone who reblogs, comments and interacts with my work. 💫💞
💫💞
Tumblr media
Eddie was not happy, he could have been planning the latest campaign at for Hellfire but no. Principal Higgins required mandatory attendance at this fucking talent show.
Corroded Coffin had performed so it wasn't all bad but if he had to listen to one more tone-deaf person he'd lose it.
Dustin was insistent they all come to this regardless if it was mandatory or not, the little butthead wouldn't say why, just that some girl would kill him if he didn't.
He seems very anxious for some reason and talks in hush tones with Mike. Principal Higgins has announced the newest band to perform but he barely pays attention.
Until she comes out, dressed in an Iron Maiden shirt, jeans and sneakers, a guitar which is a real beauty slung over her shoulder.
She's so beautiful that Eddie feels like he's been struck dumb.
"Won't y/n looks great". Mike says smiling to Dustin and he eyes the two of them stunned.
"How do you know her Henderson?Wheeler?". Mike looks confused and points to Dustin.
"Dude, she's Dustin's sister". Now this really does stun him and he glares at Dustin.
"Your sister is my dream woman Henderson and you didn't think about introducing us?".
Dustin gulps at his tone but then points to the stage as y/n and her band begin to perform.
Eddie is mesmerized as she begins to sing her song.
"Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby".
The song goes on and he gapes as she begins to rock out, her voice is perfection and she's a pro on the guitar.
Why the hell did Henderson not introduce them again?
"Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby".,
His mind goes blank when she catches his eye.
"Listen to Iron Maiden baby, with me?"
He's pretty sure he's just fallen head over heels in love.
💫💞
Once the show ends he follows Henderson as he goes to congratulate his sister.
"Y/n, that was fucking awesome". She beams and ruffles his hair.
"Awe thank you Dustykins". Dustin's eyes widen and he swears.
"Come on not in front of Eddie y/n, you promised". Dustin whines and he takes that as his cue to introduce himself.
"I'm Eddie". He holds out his hand and she takes it, sparks crackle in the air. They can both feel it.
For the first time in a while, Eddie feels nervous and smiles.
"Dustin never mentioned that he had a sister, it's nice to meet you y/n". She nods her eyes sparkling.
"You too, wanted to meet the famous Dungeon Master and ask to join his team?".
Yup, she's his dream. "You play D&D?". Dustin and y/n share a grin at this and she beams.
"Who do you think told Dustin to play in the first place?". Eddie takes no changes then and he decides to go on a whim and ask her out.
"So uh you wanna get out of here? Get a burger? milkshake. I know a good place". Dustin's eyes widen in horror as he realises what is happening.
"Oh shit". Y/n links her arms through his and giggles at Dustin's horrified look.
"Like a date Mr Munson?". He nods tentative, a little nervous but when she slips her hand through his, he grows more confident.
"Yeah, a date". The first of many, he's very sure of that.

Kent X reader rainy day in the dorms but lots of fluff?
Kent Fisher x reader
Thank you SOOOO much for the request :)
You and Kent had planned a picnic date down by the lake. You were getting ready in your dorm, curtains closed and music blasting. You hadn't noticed the rain.
Kent was by the lake setting up the perfect date. That was until he noticed the food was getting wet. When the rain got heavier he decided it was best to move this date inside.
He walked up to your dorm with everything he had for the date. He had to knock three times 'cause your music was so loud you couldn't hear him.
"One second!" You shouted. You paused your music and closed your mascara. "Baby, I'm not ready yet!" You partly squealed when you opened the door.
"It's raining, can you not hear it?" You pecked him on the lips as he walked into your dorm.
"No, I was playing music." You say as you scramble to tidy quickly as Kent set up the picnic again.
You sat down with Kent to eat the lovely food he made, he was an amazing cook. Whenever you had these casual dates you always updated Kent on the gossip Enid told you, so today was no different.
"So Ashley and Kyle broke up again."
"REALLY!" Kent tries to say through a bite of salmon and egg sandwich.
"REALLY! Apparently Kyle kissed Chelsea, so now Ashley is ignoring her."
Kent always loved how enthusiastic you were when talking about the latest nevermore gossip.
When you finished all the food, Kent suggested putting some music on. So now you had your own little karaoke session going on, singing the cheesiest love songs.
You were blasting 'Teenage Dirtbag'. Singing and dancing, having the time of your lives.
She's walkin' over to me This must be fake My lip starts to shake
Kent wraps his arms around your waist as you go silent, letting him sing the rest of the song to you.
"How does she know who I am? And why does she give a damn about me?" He sings along quietly, staring into your eyes lovingly. "I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby Come with me Friday, don't say maybe I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby, like you" You don't think you can love anyone more than how much you love Kent in this moment. His beautiful voice singing to you.
Oh, yeah, dirtbag
Kent kissed you with so much passion, you felt winded by the intensity of the kiss. His lips were so soft on your own.
No, she doesn't know what she's missin' Oh, yeah, dirtbag No, she doesn't know what she's missin'..
When the song ended you just laid down on your bed, you were exhausted after all the singing and dancing. Kent's arms enveloped you as you laid your head on his chest. "I love you." He whispered into your ear. When you didn't respond he brushed all your hair out of you face only to be met with your sleeping face. He smiled to himself before also falling asleep. It was the best date you had ever had, even if the rain did ruin your initial plans.
A/N: Thank you for the request. I really hope you like it. It's my first time writing Kent so I really hope it lives up to your expectations. <3

Teenage dirtbag.
💕:Vance hopper
Warnings: this is baser off the song 'Teenage dirtbag' as a Vance x reader thingy, nicknames, that's pretty much it.
:NO ONE POV:
Her name is y/n. She is a pretty popular girl to be honest, Vance on the other hand total teenage dirt bag but that doesn't stop him from having a dream about her,
Y/n is in class writing down notes as Vance took glances of her every so often, they have gym class in half an hour which y/n is the worst at. Vance find it kinda of funny when they are playing dogeball and everyone targets her, Vance doesn't think y/n knows he he is, and she doesn't a damn about him. Because he's the biggest teenage dirtbag you can meet. However he happens to know y/n and him have similar music taste which is weird
Her boyfriends a dick though. Once he brought a gun to school to protect her, and he simply try to kicks his ass if he knew, he trys to not know who Vance is because he doesn't give a damn about him.
"She doesn't know what she's missing, oh yeah she doesn't know what she's missing!"
He's feeling like mold. It's prom night and you dumped your boyfriend and Vance is lonely. Lo and behold she's walking to him? 'This is fake.' He thought it must be fake! His lip starts to shake, how does she know who Vance is? She didn't care she never noticed him...
"I've got two tickets to iron maiden.. please come with me on Friday! Don't say maybe.... I'm just a teensge dirtbag, Vance, like you"
Y/N said smiling slightly holding two tickets infront of her. "I‐ umm.. sure I'll go with you. But! Don't be weird" Vance said as y/ns smile grew bigger as she put her hand out as a slow dance started. Vance rolled his eyes taking her hand as the walked onto the floor and started dancing.
As the were dancing the made eye contact for a while and bam. They kissed, Vance had been waiting for this moment his hole life sense the 4th grade.
"No he doesn't know what his missing..."

on a similar note to your discussion about twitter i keep seeing the SAME tiktok where the girl is doing ‘dirtbags with teenagers’ - which is imo completely valid to call out but i find it wildly frustrating that she uses a photo of Elvis + Cilla’s wedding and labels them ‘14 and 24’ - i absolutely think that it was borderline creepy of their relationship to start - her moving + living at Graceland and still attending high school does give me the ick BUT in practically the same years my grandmother was also married + pregnant at 17 to a man quite a few years older than her and it was absolutely completely normal - it just WAS a different time then sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️- and it’s so frustrating for it be misconstrued as though they MARRIED at 14 + 24 when all of their own comments about it make it clear the relationship wasn’t like that until later. It just feels unfair when he can’t defend himself and when priscilla tries it’s dismissed - and if you DO try to defend them in the comments you get completely shut down! saw the similarity with the twitter convo and just took the chance to vent - sorry!!
don't be sorry, you're welcome to vent :)
personally, their age gap never bothered me or gave me the ick or whatever, because it was consensual. priscilla was in love and people oftend tend to forget that not every girl in a relationship with someone older was/is being groomed. i've been in a similar relationship when i was younger so i would be a hypocrite if i would sit here and say that such a relationship isn't okay.
this is why i'm never on tiktok either LOL. i go on there very rarely and when i do, it's to watch dumb videos of people doing dumb things when i need a good laugh. when i come across elvis edits, i don't even open the comment section because i just know it's a mess in there.
i truly hate the internet sometimes. people need to go outside and get a hobby.

Oh can we know more of this stories you came up with?
You know, "Tell me more about your idea" is the best thing anyone can say to me! lol
Inspired by when my 13yo student tried to show me this cool song from a band that I might be a bit too old to know and then proceeded to play "Teenagers" by My Chemical Romance, I have the very funny (at least in my head) One-Shot

Tumblr media
Summary: Miles Bridgerton had been introduced by some awesome pop-punk new bands recently and when Edmund and Belinda tell him about this festival that's coming up, it seems way too good an opportunity to miss it, but his parents would never let him go to a pop-punk concert with his cousins, even if Ned was already 18.
The solution? Sneak out to the festival without the adults figuring out. It should be easy enough. It's not like they had any risk of running into his parents there, right?
And inspired by me, daydreaming in the shower instead of studying which somehow lead to a very dark and tense plot that had @mimix007 really worried about my mental health there for a minute, we have
Wait For Me (I'm Coming Too)

She had put her life on hold, given up many hopes and dreams and uprooted her life in India and moved to England so Edwina could have only the best things in life. Finding love in the form of an English Viscount had been just a delightful surprise.
And because she would do anything for her little sister, she could stand Lord and Lady Sheffield around her drawing room for a bit every other day. Kate does not trust their sudden desire to be close to their only granddaughter. But they'd never been openly disrespectful to her and, in the end, all of them have her sister's happiness and well-being in mind. Or that was what she thought before she disappeared.
I also made a moodboard for my Circus AU that lives rent-free in my head every time watch or read anything remotely circus-related and decided to come back to my Love, Love, Love one-shot series.
It's insane how creative I get when I have to study.

teenage dirtbag [one] // wanda maximoff
summary: when you're paired with the most popular girl in your grade for Chemistry class, you definitely don't expect to start liking her like that...
warning/s: none i don't think??
author's note: okay so i have a ton of requests to work through but i got sidetracked and before i knew it, five parts of this imagine were written.
It's based off the song 'Teenage Dirtbag' and idk, i thought it was cute to write! Who doesn't love the popular girl!wanda and loner!reader concept?
Here’s a cover of the song to listen to because i really liked it and a girl sings it so it immediately made the song 10x more gay, just how i like it 🥰

"Are you all comfortable?"
The class stayed silent, watching our Chemistry teacher, Mr. Hale, as he looked to everyone with a raised brow.
"You all like who you're sat with?" he asked again, as if expecting an actual response from someone.
I exchanged questioning glances with my best friend, Y/BF/N, who was sat beside me. It was the first day back in Chemistry class of our final year of high school and we were just waiting to begin.
"Anyone?" he asked, looking around.
"Yeah," a few students mumbled in response so we could move on.
He clapped his hands together. "Great! Well, don't get too comfortable because I made a seating chart."
A chorus of groans erupted from the class, including from me and Y/BF/N. Every other class had successfully managed to not give us a seating chart. I'd heard that Mr. Hale was an awkward teacher who hated students (ironically), but I didn't think he'd stoop so low as to pair us with students who weren't our friends. These new seats were also our partners for the rest of the year and were non-negotiable, so any projects or work we did would have to be with our seat buddy. Fun.
Students began to shuffle to their newly-assigned seats reluctantly as Mr. Hale read out the chart. When Y/BF/N left my side, I frowned dramatically, waving goodbye to him.
"Wanda Maximoff, you're now partners with Y/N Y/L/N," said Mr. Hale, making me look up at the mention of my name.
I didn't get chance to register what he'd said as the aforementioned girl soon approached me, settling her bag on the table beside me. I looked up and saw Wanda Maximoff smiling my way before taking a seat on the stool.
Huh. Wanda Maximoff. She was one of the most popular girls in our grade. Everybody loved her, either wanting to be friends with her, be with her or be her. I'd personally never crossed paths with her apart from the few classes we shared. She seemed nice enough, but I guess I had preconceived notions of what she was like since she'd made the very poor decision to date the most obnoxious guy ever. Anyone making decisions that terrible definitely had a flaw.
She had a twin brother, Pietro, who was also in our grade and played on the football team alongside her boyfriend. Her parents were good friends with mine, through mutual friends, I think, as I recalled my mum mentioning 'Mrs. Maximoff's boy' or 'Mrs. Maximoff's girl'. And I remembered when her family moved into our town back in second grade.
Admittedly, Wanda was the star of the show back then, too. We were only kids, but child Y/N wasn't blind. She was the first girl I'd crushed on, an innocent child crush – the crush that made me realise I liked girls. Apart from that, and the fact that she had a locker behind me in the hallway, I never really thought about her.
I glanced behind me, catching Y/BF/N's gaze across the room as he sat beside some other kid. He frowned, implying he wished we were partners, and I knew just how he felt.
Once Mr. Hale finished assigning seats, he gave us five minutes to get to know our new partners as he struggled to find the powerpoint for today's class. If there was anything worse than getting assigned seats, it was ice breakers.
"Er, well, hi," Wanda greeted, turning to face me. Green eyes sparkled brightly behind a friendly smile. "I'm Wanda. But, I mean, we already know each other."
"That we do," I said with a nod, returning her smile. "How're you doing? Your summer go well?"
She ran a hand through her hair, adjusting herself so she was comfortable on her stool. And as she did, a waft of her perfume washed over me and I blinked, trying to ignore how nice it smelled. Floral. Subtle. It suited her.
"Good, yeah," she answered with a nod. "Could have gone on longer for all I care."
I chuckled. "I feel that. I'm definitely not ready to be back."
"Right?" she said with raised brows. "It's gonna take a while to get back into routine, that's for sure. But I guess I did miss seeing my friends everyday."
I hummed in agreement, eyes flickering to Mr. Hale as he attempted to tackle the oncoming stream of animations on his powerpoint. I tried not to laugh as I looked back to Wanda, who clearly noticed the same thing as me and stifled a smile.
"Have you had Mr. Hale before?" I asked, nodding his way.
She shook her head. "Nope. You?"
"Never."
"Sucks that he makes seating charts," she said with a sigh, before realising what she said and looking to me with panicked eyes. "Not that I don't like you or anything–!"
"It's fine, I get it," I cut her off with an amused smile. "I wanted to sit with my friend, too."
She breathed out quietly, a hint of relief in her eyes, and scrunched her nose with an apologetic smile. Okay, yeah, maybe that was kind of cute. Older Y/N wasn't blind either. Wanda Maximoff was beautiful, with long brunette locks and matching hazel eyes that seemed to change from blue to green to brown in a kaleidoscope of colour. A winning smile and soothing voice was enough for anyone to fall for her unintentional charm, but it was purely admiration. Everyone pretty much had a mild crush on her, you'd be stupid not to.
"If we're gonna be working together, d'you wanna get the whole awkward number exchange out the way now?" she asked, half joking, half not.
"I– er– sure," I stumbled out rather carelessly, before cringing internally. Where did that come from?
Thankfully, she didn't seem to pick up on it (or just saved me the embarrassment of acknowledging it) and was already writing her number on a slip of paper. Sliding it my way, she capped her pen and gave me her signature smile.
"Thanks," I said with a nod, accepting the paper and pocketing it. "Can't wait to start those lovely science projects we've got coming up!"
She let out a quiet laugh at my sarcasm. "It'll be fine. You're not dumb, right? So, we'll be fine."
"Can't promise you that," I joked, making her roll her eyes playfully.
"Maybe if we–"
But she was cut off when Mr. Hale spoke up loudly, interrupting everyone's conversations.
"Five minutes are up, let's begin!"
I wondered if everyone was thinking the same thing as me – that was not five minutes.
"So it begins...," I mumbled to myself, facing forward.
Wanda breathed out, a stifled laugh, probably having heard my comment, and I couldn't help but crack a smile. Maybe I judged her too harshly. She wasn't actually that bad.
Since being paired with Wanda, I was surprised by how much she'd made an effort to befriend me outside of class. We'd always been back to back with our lockers though not quite speaking, but since becoming Chemistry partners, she'd wish me a good morning if she caught me, or greet me briefly as we collected our books.
She didn't have to, but I could see why everybody liked her now. She was just genuinely nice. Due to circumstance, we'd become partners, but rather than leaving it at that, she made a genuine effort to befriend me. And not even just me, but also Y/BF/N, who was at the locker next to mine. He was as surprised as I was, expecting Wanda to mind her own business as we weren't exactly in the same social circles.
This was, I guess you could say, the start of our friendship. And it was a good one at that. I grew to learn how funny she was, how much she loved her brother, the passion she had for art and painting... she was a wonderful person. Which is why I didn't understand why she was with her boyfriend, Nate. He was a grade-A dick and everything Wanda wasn't. How were they a thing?
It sounds like I'm being a bitch and judgemental, but he really is the worst. The few unfortunate times I shared a class with him or caught sight of him around school, he was causing some sort of trouble with the teachers or picking on students in a way that made it seem like a joke but everybody knew it wasn't.
For example, there was a time when Wanda and I were studying for an upcoming Chemistry test we had. We decided to just help each other study since we already worked together in class, so knew we could motivate each other to actually put in the work. It was, maybe, the fourth studying session we had, and I was going over some notes when I felt her eyes watching me.
"You need a hand?" I asked, unable to take the staring any longer. I looked up at her, quirking a brow.
She seemed to fall out of her daydream and straightened up, eyes flickering to mine. "Huh?"
I gave her an awkward smile, unable to maintain her gaze. "You're staring."
She didn't seem fazed as I called her out, instead leaning back in her seat and continuing to study me curiously.
"Did you do something different with your hair?"
Subconsciously reaching for my hair, I straightened up my ponytail and shook my head. "No...?"
She chewed on her lip, saying after a pause, "You tied it up. You usually leave it out."
Did I? I wasn't sure. I just knew that her noticing something like that made me feel self conscious all of a sudden.
"It looks good," she decided, before offering up a small smile. "You should do it like that more often."
Quickly, I felt warm. Was it stuffy in here or was it just me? God, compliments already made me feel stupid. And compliments from pretty girls made me feel ten times that. It didn't help that she was watching me with an endearing expression, making me focus on my book before me.
"Thanks," I got out quickly. "I– yeah."
Her smile widened before she looked back down to her own book. Suddenly, I became acutely aware of the way her leg brushed up against mine under the table.
Thankfully, the strange fuzzy feeling following her compliment faded and we were able to get back to work without her tuning out again. As we were going over each other's practice questions, an annoying voice shouted from across the library.
"Wanda, head's up!"
"Hey, no talking in the library!" a librarian hissed at the voice.
Wanda and I looked up just in time for a football to smack me in the side of the head. I didn't even see it coming until I felt the thing slap my head, giving me an instant urge to strangle whoever threw it.
"Fuck," I cursed, holding my head and closing my eyes to breathe through the pain.
"Oh my God, are you okay?" Wanda's voice made me open my eyes and I saw her leaning forward, hand resting on my shoulder and the other on top of mine that was clutching my head.
"Been better," I admitted, trying to make light of the situation because as angry as I was at the idiot who threw it, I was also embarrassed because it hit me.
Wanda seemed concerned as she gently pulled me hand away, not letting go as she got a better look at the side of my face which I was sure was burning red. At least that's what it felt like.
"Shit, I'm so sorry."
I looked up and saw none other than Nate Green, Wanda's boyfriend, hovering and stifling a laugh as he looked at me. He had his stupid varsity jacket on and I was tempted to strangle him with it.
"I thought Wanda would catch it," he explained stupidly, before moving around the desk to collect his football.
Breathing out through gritted teeth, I pulled away from Wanda and nodded reassuringly. "I'll be fine. Just need an ice pack."
"You're such an idiot, Nate!" Wanda snapped, looking to him with a glare. "You need to watch what you're doing!"
He smiled sheepishly, making me roll my eyes and clench my jaw at the heat on the right side of my face. Fuck, that really hurt.
"What did you want?" Wanda asked him with a quirked brow. She definitely wasn't impressed. I'd hate to ever be on the wrong side of that condescending glare.
"I thought we could go out," he said like it was that simple.
"I'm studying," she quipped with crossed arms.
"I'm happy to wait," he said, toying with the ball in his hands.
Knowing I definitely didn't want that, I closed my books and said, "It's cool. You guys go. I think we're done here anyway."
Nate grinned. "See? S'all good."
Wanda ignored him and looked to me with worried eyes. "Y/N, are you sure?"
"You know your stuff," I said, referring to the work. "You'll be fine in the test. I'm sure."
I offered her a small, forced smile, before standing up to pack my bag. She did the same, beginning to pack her own things, but her eyes kept flittering towards me.
"D'you want me to go to the nurse's office with you?" she asked, shame laced in her voice.
"It's fine, I'll be fine," I said, hurrying up with my actions so I could just get out of here whilst I still had (some of) my dignity left. "See you in class tomorrow."
She nodded, sending a guilty smile my way. "See you tomorrow, Y/N."
Without giving either of them a look, I shouldered my backpack and left the library. Just another reminder of why Nate Green was literally the worst person ever.
Liking Wanda as more than a friend wasn't something that happened for a while if I'm being honest. I guess I started to enjoy her presence more and more the longer we spent time together.
I'd come to appreciate it whenever she'd say something completely out of the blue that made no sense whatsoever, or whenever she'd laugh at something I'd said that was arguably not funny but she didn't want to make me feel bad, or even whenever I teased her about something stupid she did, resulting in her doing that cute little nose scrunch she did. But I didn't think of it as liking her, more just a randomly-formed friendship that I was glad to have.
Maybe it was this misinterpretation that didn't make me see how I was acting around her, such as the time I was in the dinner queue at lunch when I realised she was stood behind me.
"Oh, hey, Y/N," she said when she noticed it was me in front of her. Her usual bright, friendly smile was on her lips as she looked to me. "You good?"
I nodded, returning her smile. "Yeah. Just getting some doughnuts for Y/BF/N and I. You?"
"Same," she said, before nudging the guy next to her, who I recognised as her brother. "Pietro and I thought we'd treat ourselves."
At the mention of his name, Pietro looked down to his sister before his gaze fell on me. A mischievous smile appeared on his lips as he put out his hand.
"Pietro Maximoff," he introduced. "You must be the Chemistry partner, Y/N, right?"
I raised my eyebrows with surprise as I shook his hand. "You, er, know who I am?"
He glanced at his sister with a cheeky smile. Wanda was avoiding both of our gazes, her cheeks dusting pink.
Clearly saving face for Wanda, he said, "We've been in the same grade since kids, right? 'Course I do."
Despite the truth to his words, something told me that wasn't how he knew who I was. Especially since I was sure I'd never spoken to him in my life. But, to save Wanda the embarrassment of clearly having spoken of me at home, I nodded to Pietro.
"Right," I agreed with an amused smile. "Duh."
I moved down the queue and grabbed two doughnuts from the display, putting them in two separate paper bags.
"Dibs the last one!" Pietro exclaimed as soon as I returned the clippers to the display. He reached around his sister immaturely and bagged the last doughnut.
Wanda rolled her eyes. "You know I can ask for more, right?"
Pietro grinned, eyes sparkling with mischief. "Go on then."
The two were twins, but they couldn't have been more different. I simply revelled in their interaction, finding it adorable.
Wanda did as she said, asking the dinner lady if there were any more doughnuts in the back. Unfortunately for her, those were the last for the day, making Pietro laugh as Wanda pouted.
"Sucks to be you," he teased her, as I paid for mine and Y/BF/N's doughnuts.
"I hate you," she mumbled playfully, but I saw the disappointment in her eyes as he lovingly but annoyingly waved his bag before her eyes.
Without even thinking much of it, I held out one of the bags in my hand. "Here. You can have mine."
Wanda looked to me with surprise. "Are you sure? I can live without a doughnut, if that's what you're thinking."
I chuckled, grabbing her hand and making her take it. "It's okay. I wasn't in the mood anyway."
Plus, you look better when you're smiling and not pouting, I added in my head.
She accepted the bag reluctantly. "I– thanks. At least let me pay for it–"
"It's just a doughnut, Wanda," I teased, before nodding her way. "See you later."
Leaving her and Pietro to it, I headed back to the table Y/BF/N was sat at and took a seat opposite him before giving him his doughnut.
"Sweet," he said, quickly opening the bag before realising I didn't have one. "Where's yours?"
Over his shoulder, I saw Wanda and Pietro taking a seat at their lunch table, doughnuts in hand and a heartwarming smile on Wanda's lips.
"They ran out," I answered Y/BF/N. "Wasn't in the mood anyway. Enjoy."
He shrugged before digging in. I'd like to say I didn't spare glances in Wanda's direction every now and then for the rest of the lunch hour, but I'd be lying if I did.
I'm in the art department. You okay to bring it here?
I read over the text Wanda sent me before shooting her an 'okay' and heading to the Art department. I'd grabbed her notebook in class earlier on, only realising as I was studying with Y/BF/N in the library and pulled out an extra one, so I was going to give it her back.
I guess, when you realise you like someone, it comes randomly, suddenly, without warning. Liking someone isn't instant, it's constant and gradual and subconscious. I guess I'd been falling for Wanda for a while, without even realising, but today was the day I acknowledged that fact.
The Art department wasn't somewhere I frequented regularly – give me a paint and brushes and I'd probably present you with a finger painting – but it was definitely worth the visit. Art pieces from current and past students were hung on the walls, a mural of the school was spray painted on another, and sculptures stood around. The whole department brought a smile to anyone's face with its bright colours and open space – I could see why Art students always hung out here, Wanda included.
Speaking of Wanda, I found her in one of the classrooms sat at a stool in front of a series of canvasses. The room had a few other Art students littered around, working on their own pieces during their lunch period, otherwise it was empty.
"Hey," I called, getting her attention as I approached her.
She followed my voice and straightened up with a cheery smile. "Y/N, hey. Thanks for coming. I'm working on my Art project, so I couldn't pull myself away."
I waved my hand dismissively, joining her side. "It's all good, don't worry." My eyes wandered to the series of canvases on easels she was working on and widened. "Holy shit, these are so good."
Three unfinished hyperrealistic portraits of people were before us, one whom I recognised as Pietro. The paintings were so detailed, despite their medium-size, and I couldn't imagine how long they must have taken.
"You think?" she asked, glancing between them. "I think I messed up the nose here." She pointed with the back end of her paintbrush to the nose of Pietro. "It's a bit bent."
I almost laughed as I looked to her with disbelief. "Are you kidding? Wanda, these are amazing. How did you even do this?"
She looked down bashfully, a nervous smile on her lips. "I don't know. It's for a project. I chose to do family portraits." She pointed to each one as she said, "My mum, my dad and my brother."
I was in awe of her talent, jaw dropped with amazement still. I always knew she was an artist, but I'd never actually seen her work. I was starting to wish I'd come here a lot sooner.
"So, you got my notebook?" she asked, pulling me back into reality.
I looked away from the paintings reluctantly before getting her notebook from my bag and holding it out for her. As she accepted it, she must have forgotten she was holding her paintbrush as the tip brushed my wrist, leaving a swipe of red there.
"Oh, my bad," she said with a laugh, before setting her notebook and brush down and grabbing a paper towel from beside her.
Wetting it with water from her bottle, she pressed it to my wrist and swiped the paint away. It was such a mundane action, but the way her fingers gently held my wrist and emanated a warmth only she seemed to carry sent shivers down my spine.
I glanced up at her, letting her do it, and noticed the swipe of paint she had across her cheek, as if she'd touched her face without realising.
Now that I paid attention, I noticed how cute she looked in her Art getup. An old, oversized shirt covered in paint was being worn to cover her clothes, sleeves loosely rolled up to her elbows. Her long hair was tied back into a ponytail, but her baby hairs framed her forehead adorably.
When her hair wasn't in her face, her eyes only seemed more intense, glistening with excitement and happiness. I almost forgot to breathe when they met mine briefly, a hint of embarrassment there from when cleaning me up. She was in her element here and it made sense to me now.
I knew I'd fallen for her.
"You don't get it," I was saying to Y/BF/N as we hung about the school gym, waiting for the teacher to start the lesson. "It's bad. I like her. Like, like like her."
Y/BF/N laughed, clapping me on the back with pity. "You're screwed."
I frowned. "I know."
As he stretched for class, he continued, "I mean, I get it, I do. She's super nice. Pretty. And you guys seem to get on."
I chewed on my lower lip worriedly.
He gave me a knowing look. "There's one problem though."
I groaned, running a hand down my face. "I know, I know. She's got that dick of a boyfriend."
He chuckled. "That's one way to put it."
I sighed, crossing my arms with annoyance. Since realising I liked Wanda as a little more than a friend, things weren't going well for me. Whenever we worked together, I'd forget what I was thinking because I was too busy admiring her side profile or getting lost in her eyes. If she spoke about the work, told a joke or was simply speaking her thoughts aloud, I'd focus on every little thing she was saying, knowing I could listen to her speak all day. It was bad, but thankfully I hadn't stumbled over my words or made a total fool of myself in front of her. I was determined to not let it get that far.
My eyes wandered around the gym as Y/BF/N tried to give me advice, but admittedly, his words flew in one ear and out the other when I caught sight of Wanda.
She was standing with her friends, smiling and laughing to whatever they were saying. Like everyone else in here, she was wearing her gym kit – black athletic shorts and a blue and white tee shirt, the colour of our school. It wasn't anything special, yet she made it seem that way, outdoing anyone in here. Her brown hair was tied back, the ponytail falling down her back, showing her stunning profile and making my mouth go dry.
Another clap on the back from Y/BF/N pulled me from my reverie and I looked to see he was laughing at me.
"Majorly screwed," he corrected his previous comment.
He was definitely right.

The alarm blares “Teenage Dirtbag” and Jason Grace slams his hand down on it with a smile practically illegal for six am. But nothing could smother the joy bursting through his seams today. Not his absent father’s sudden appearance in his life. Not his movie-star mother who has more space for her awards than her children. Not even the professors in his architecture course that hand him back assignments with more red “notes on improvement” than blue “notes of commendation”. No, today is quite possibly going to be the best day ever.
He springs out of bed, bouncing on his heels as he picks his way across the maze that is his bedroom floor and into the small bathroom attached to his room. Three years of university and he can finally call a bathroom his own. In this economy? Even the annoyingly aggressive landlord couldn’t pry him away. There is no sound in any other part of the apartment. His roommate is three thousand miles away, on holiday with his boyfriend. Montauk, Jason remembers dreamily. Oh how many dreams can come true on a little beach in the summer? If he could he would have packed himself into Leo’s suitcase and made himself at home in the little cottage Percy and Sally owned. But no matter, because he is here and it is finally, finally the day. And even if the stars exploded he’d be the brightest thing in this universe.
The shower is too cold, with winter crawling towards them. His coffee is stronger than his punches. His jersey has a hole under the arm. But he is alive and he is existing in this strange time and he can’t be even slightly concerned for what these little things could make of him.
“Grace!” he hears a banging on his door just as he shoves the last bite of peach into his mouth. “You better be ready, I have shit to do today.”
Thirteen years of friendship and not once has he been able to tame the filthy sailor mouth of Annabeth Chase. In fact in the time he’s known her it’s really only gotten worse. She knows four languages and can swear in five of them. She says it's the cornerstone of language. Everyone has different ways of saying mom, love, beautiful, i respect you, but we all say “fuck” the same way. He thinks it’s just the cornerstone of her. He could kiss that potty mouth, if he didn’t think it’d get him socked right in his own.
“I'm coming, Chase,” He yells back, “Get your boxers out your ass before you chafe on your own impatience.”
“Shut up Grace!” She swings the door open, grey eyes as wonderfully blunt as fresh concrete. “I’ll chafe your balls if you don't hurry your ass up.”
He’s about to spew another line when his phone starts vibrating incessantly on the counter. He levels a look at his best friend as if to say ‘we’ll continue this soon’ and then, “It’s Grace.”
“Why do you insist on answering the phone like you’re in the godsdamn mafia?” The smooth low voice of Thalia Grace crackles through his ear.
“Technically i am part of the mafia.”
“I told you mom featuring in ‘Tragic Crime’ when you were born doesn't automatically make you a mafia kid.” He can hear the eye roll in her voice and it makes him giggle like a little kid.
“She was literally the mafia boss,” He can't help but rib his sister. Loves her exasperation towards him. Things far and lost when they were young. She was shipped off to boarding school for 11 months of the year and he was coddled and cradled but nannies as detached as fallen butterfly wings. Now, at twenty two years old, he's making up for all his lost time.
“I just wanted to wish you good luck for today,” She has moved the conversation along and it makes him smile. Never one to waste time. “You're going to absolutely kill it. I'm so proud of you!”
“Thank you Lightning.” His sincerity is born and bred from fires of love and hurt and a longing for family he is finally having. “I'm excited!”
“I know,” Her laughter pops against his speaker, “I can hear it in your voice. Is Annie there?”
He looks up at his best friend, who's currently shoving half a jar of peanut butter and a slice of bread into her mouth. She is so messy and beautiful.
“She is.”
“Tell her I said good luck for today too.”
“I will.” Will this smile ever get smaller? His cheeks doth protest. His heart is Icarus if he had been successful.
The Grace siblings say their goodbyes and then Jason and Annabeth— still choking down a breakfast— are stumbling out of the house and into the streets of this busy, lazy; bright, soft city.
They reach their university and the colours that bombard them makes his ears ring. He thinks this is what shrimp feel like all the time. He can't imagine having that many colour receptors wouldn’t make your vision swim. He thinks he's got at least half as many now.
“I'll meet you back here at lunch?” Annabeth is staring up at him. Her blonde curls falling all over her face as the breeze pushes them forwards, backwards, up, across.
“Yes.” He wraps his arms around her. She sinks into him. They've always fitted like this. Like they had been born as a set and cracked apart.
“Don't forget to strap the knee.” She doesn't let go of his shoulders but pushes her head back so they're staring at each other. Eye to eye. Blue sky meets grey ocean. Grey sky meets blue ocean. Lightning meets the storm.
“I won't.” He flicks her nose at all the fussing. “You don't forget to strap your ankles.”
“We're a bunch of disasters aren't we?” She giggles.
“I wouldn't have it any other way.”
And then they're off to class. Just a few more hours.

And finally finally finally:
“IT'S FUCKING GAME DAY!” Travis Stoll screams. And the entire lecture hall goes up in flames. Body heat rising. Anticipation cracking. This is the day the whole university has waited for.
Jason Grace practically falls into the next few minutes. One moment he's packing up his drawing tools and the next he's standing in a locker room with silk shorts on and squeaking shoes racing over the linoleum.
“Meet you out there Grace?”
“Just gonna go talk to—”
“Annabeth.” He gets a fond eye roll, a soft smile. “Yea, we know. Hurry up.”
And with that he's gone. Sprinting across lockers, down hallways, and into the university quad.
He sees her.
And his whole world tunnels.
Caves in on him.
There is no way he exists in this image.
There is no way he sees what he does.
Annabeth Chase stands on the opposite end of the quad in white and purple. The t-shirt, a bold and bright colour against her suntanned skin. And her white shorts only making every other colour she is made from stand out more.
He looks down at his own light blue shirt, the matching white shorts. He fears he might get married in this. It's too perfect for any other kind of union.
She sees him.
And she's running.
He meets her.
And he's full of life.
“You look good in my colours.” They burst at the same time.
The flavour they leave behind is the very first ice-cream they shared as kids.
He's laughing and she's laughing and could they be any more Jason and Annabeth in that moment?
“Can't believe we've never done this before.”
“Can't believe I lived this long not seeing you in my purple.”
“My blue.” She fiddles with his shirt.
He tugs at hers.
He's staring so much he thinks his eyes might be glued to her.
She's staring so much he'll die if she looks away.
“So you're gonna join the weightlifting team?” She smirks up at him.
“So you're gonna join the basketball team?”
“Maybe we should just create our own team?” She does the thing where she's thinking. Head titled slightly to the right. Eyes changing every shade of morning dew. Thumbnail slips between her lips in three...two...bingo.
“We’ve had our own team since we were 11.”
“But we've never made it official.” And now she's looking at him with a different sort of grey. Like watery sunshine. Full of curiosity, hope.
“How would we do that?” He thinks he knows and the entire flock of sparrows in his chest are trying to fly him into a new galaxy.
She looks up at him. He looks down at her. Their bodies are f i v e f our three inches apart. She takes his face in her hands. He takes her waist between his fingers.
“I think this will be sufficient Grace.”
And then she kisses him. His mind goes quiet. And he kisses her. His heart goes still. And she pulls herself closer. He begins writing new languages with these feelings. And he wraps himself around every inch of her that he can. His body clicks back into place with hers.
When they break apart, the universe is drifting inside their eyes. Aren't they young gods?

What I'm about to tell you is a true story. Please read until the end and share it to others to raise awareness.
⚠️ TW: R*PE, SU*C*DE ⚠️
⚠️ 18+ ⚠️
I was 5...
You're one of the people from church. You're a funny guy, I always enjoy your jokes and stories. One day you said you want to show me something good and I should follow you. I wish I haven't...
"Suck it, it's just a big lollipop."
"Yummy milk will come out, I promise."
"You wanna put it in here?... I'm afraid it won't fit."
"This is a secret for the both of us only, okay?"
The "milk" wasn't yummy at all and I've always wondered what would've happen to my fragile body if he really put it in. Now, it scares me...
You were never contented, you invited your friends one by one. They all did the same thing.
I regretted and wished I at least told my parents, but I didn't. I was a kid and I didn't know what's happening. He said it's just a game and it's normal. "It was done by many." And so I thought.
It goes on until...
I was 7...
You had the audacity to start your own family and moved to another town.
Even so, your friends remained. It got to the point where I became famous to the boys in our neighborhood without me knowing why. Sometimes, they call me "slut." And here I am with no idea what that means and why they call me that. It goes on until I was a teenager.
Every summer break, an uncle visits my grandma and stays for a week or until classes resume (he was a college student then). I play with him during summer break. It was fine until he found me asleep in my grandma's bed. My grandma was out to buy groceries and we are the only people in the house. All I remember is that I woke up with me lying on his stomach whil he's masturbating. I pretended to be asleep until he finished. At this point I don't know what to feel anymore. I felt empty...
Again, I never told my parents becuse I am a shy kid and I don't talk much about how I feel with anyone, even with my parents. The harrassment stopped when we moved to another town when I was 9.
I'm doing fine, I'm living how a child should be. Enjoying my time playing and studying. I was an honor student. Until I accidentally saw my uncle's lewd magazines when I was 11. I suddenly remembered everything done to me when I was younger. I got confused. I don't know what to feel. All I know is that is how I started learning to masturbate at such a young age. I remembered that I don't like doing it but I can't seem to stop. Sometimes I cry while doing it and I don't even know what to do with it. I'm not even feeling pleasure to it.
I live on with that ever confusing state with a young mind.
I was 12...
We now live with our grandma, back to the town we lived when I was young, because both my parents now work overseas. I don't know what happened to the boys who harrassed me when I was young and I don't care as long as they don't bother me anymore. Or so I thought...
My grandma has a brother and he's older than her. He even uses a cane to help him walk. One time he carassed my thigh while we were sitting. I was so shocked I don't know what to say or do. I've been taught that elderlies must be respected and obeyed or I'll get spanked. When he finally stopped, I immediately ran to the bathroom and cried...
I was 13...
This was the most haunting moment I've experienced. It still haunts my mind every now and then.
My grandma hired a maid. Our maid is young, she was only 17. We got close to each other and I treated her like my big sister. Like how sisters are, we both share our lovelife stories. It was fun, it's a typical teenage life, I even had my puppy love for the first time. He treats me well and he's a gentleman. Unfortunately, we broke up because his mom doesn't like me. Up to this day, I still don't know why she hated me.
Moving on... I liked our maid very much that I go with her even when she goes out during her day offs. One time on her day off, she went home because it's her sister's birthday. I was allowed to go with her and have a sleepover. I was happy. But today, I always wish I haven't gone there...
When we got to their house, they ordered alcohol. I'm not gonna lie, I drank too. It was my first time. In this drinking session, I met her family. That's when I met her brother, he's 24 and works as a driver. Their house is small, shabby and only made of woods and palm leaves. So when it's time to sleep, we all shared one room. They also don't have a bed so we just slept on the floor. I was so wasted that night. It was my first time drinking and I am in no good condition. As everyone was peacefully sleeping, her brother crept beside me and slowly pulled me to the corner. I don't feel good and was half-asleep but I saw him already half naked on top of me. I was about to talk but he covered my mouth with something. I don't know what he did to me but I felt really dizzy. I thought I might fall asleep of the dizziness so I banged my head. It was painful but I managed to slightly open my eyes. I'm still dizzy but I see him sucking my chest. I thought I'm making a lot of noise but nobody is waking up, neither can I talk. I am so confused at that moment. Why is nobody waking up? I was weak but I keep on struggling. But as I was struggling, he caught my hands and tied it behind me. He pulled my hair, shut my mouth with a cloth and banged my head on the pillow. From then on, all I felt was pain. He pulled down his pants and my pants, and he aggressively pushed his way in. It was horrible and painful...
I couldn't do anything. All I know is that I'm in pain and I want it to end. But when he finished, he showed me a cloth and said "Wow, look at all this blood."
I cried.
The morning after, I was silent. I feel so empty, my eyes is empty. I can still feel the pain. Our maid told me to pack up 'cause we're going home. As I was packing up, I heard voices from the window. I saw our maid's brother (the one who r*ped me) and the younger one. The younger one is pointing at his older brother saying "Wtf, she was just a child! That was too much, I can' t do this anymore. I'm so done with you!" As I heard that, I quickly returned to packing my bag. I thought to myself "I am so done with this family, I wanna go home." How could they? So someone was awake while I was suffering and he didn't even dare to stop his brother? DID HE JUST WATCH HIS BROTHER R*PE ME???
When we are about to leave, our maid's brother whispered to me, "Don't ever tell anyone about what happened last night or I'll kill your family."
We're finally back home and I don't know what to do. I was so afraid. I was young and gullible. I couldn't say anything to my parents or grandma 'cause I'm scared. But that night, I couldn't fall asleep. I decided to talk to our maid, that' s how much I trust her. But in the end, she scared me 'cause she boldly asked "Was it good? Did you enjoy it?"
I was speechless. They're all f*cking animals.
It weighed on me like a big boulder on both my shoulders. I kept saying it was just a horrible nightmare but the pain still lingers. Sometimes I slice my wrists or take unprescribed pills to end my suffering. But it just added to my pain.
On one of my worst nights, I contacted my puppy love and told him what has been happening. I know we broke up but we still managed to have secret connections that time because we still like each other. But guess what? He was disgusted by me and he never talked to me ever again since that night.
I lost all my confidante.
A few months later, my mom finally went home for a vacation leave. I cried to her. I just pretended I missed her so much that's why I'm so emotional but her maternal instict got to her. She asked me what really is wrong and that's when I broke down and told her everything. I even told her to keep it a secret 'cause I'm afraid they will really be killed by him.
Of course, she refused.
She contacted my father about it. My father was devastated. She then went to our maid and talked to her, I don't know what about or the details, but she was fired.
After they talked, they went to our maid's house. I don't know the details, all I know is that my mom is so angry and she is taking it to legal matters. She will file a case for what he did.
Sadly and regrettably, it didn't happen. The *ssh*le fled somewhere before he was taken by the authorities. Prior to my r*pe case, we didn't know that he was already wanted because of a m*rder case in another town. Up to this day, he is still missing and wanted.
I was 14...
Hisghschool.
When my puppy love never talked to me again, I lost all my confidence and self-love. I don't know how to respect my self anymore. I feel so dirty. I am a dirtbag, that's what I am. Because of that mindset, I ended up flirting around with boys. I've had many exes whom I let my heart be wasted on. I have never been single. If a boyfriend broke up with me, I find another to flirt with me. I lived my teenage life being a flirt, but I never let them touch me and sometimes that's one of the reasons why they broke up with me. I was trashed by others, they look down on me, but I felt nothing. I lost myself.
As I was fooling around, I met a graduating college student. He was one of our practice teacher. Before he became a practice teacher, we already know each other. We used to chat over the phone. We have a lot of similarities when it comes to interests and so we got close. Despite the age gap, I liked him. We hang out every now and then but he always keep me a secret. He never wants anybody to find us out. He wants to stay low from the crowd.
I know you're gonna say that after everything I've been through, I never learned my lesson. Yeah, I know. You can hate me but it's all in the past now and I've been better.
Going back to the story, I know it was a red flag keeping our relationship secret but I never mind it. I kept my mind clouded from thinking that I finally found someone I can get comfortable with. I am still such a gullible kid I wanna punch my past self.
Until he took me to a motel one time. He said we're just gonna hang out there because in that place, no one will see us. It is a huge red flag, I know what people do in a motel, but I went with him anyway. I really like him, you can say I was really blinded by this so-called love.
When we arrived, we just started watching tv. I feel awkward, of course, we're in a f*cking motel. It's the first time I felt nervous when he get closer to me. My intuition was right 'cause he started touching me. I am shivering inside, the nightmares from before is still lingering. But I distracted myself by thinking "This is for the best, this is your chance to fight your fear." (Yeah right,'for the best' my *ss.) but I still can't do it. I told him I can't and we should stop but he never listened. He started kissing me and kept touching me. I stood up and yelled "I said stop!" He became angry and that's the first time I saw him angry. He slapped me and threw me back to bed and told me "I know you want it too you dirty little slut. It's all your fault!" I was shocked. He's never like this before. I knew this was gonna happen. Regret came all over me and I started blaming myself all over again. "Yes, this is all my fault, I should just let it be. I am really just a dirtbag..." That's what I thought at that time. I felt empty all over again.
And since then, I became his s*x slave, I was afraid he'll become violent on me again if I refused. He even go for threesome sometimes. Worst, he lets me watch him have sex with other girls and tell me to masturbate on the corner. It hurts me a lot.
To this point, I began questioning myself why I always end up with these kind of guys but I also end up answering myself with "because you're a slut, a whore, a dirtbag, who wants to be with a girl who's already touched by many guys?"
I tried to commit su*c*de by cutting my wrists just to end my suffering but I ended up still living. I failed so many times that even in dying, I still failed.
I've been his s*x slave for how many years, I can't even remember. It all ended up when I finally stood up for myself and cut all communications with him. It's also an advantage when I moved out because he doesn't know where I live anymore.
He kept messaging me on social media but I always block him. I also changed my phone number. He finally stopped when I was a college student and knew better. I told him I caught STDs and I have proofs of him fooling around with minors. He was scared of STDs and his reputation being ruined. What's a f*cked up guy who always fools around but scared of STDs? Thankfully, he's a stupid f*ck who believed my lie. It's been years and he doesn't bother me anymore.
I told my story not to gain sympathy but to raise awareness and help encourage others who's experiencing the same to keep on fighting.
After everything I've experienced, I learned how to fight for myself in the end. I learned how to respond to these kind of people. I also didn't end up hating all men because I learned that there's still good men out there through my father. Besides, some girls are also capable to r*pe/s*xually assault.
This is what r*pe, s*xual harrassment/assault does to a person. We get scared, we get nightmares, we get confused, we blame ourselves. But remember, we are still capable to fight. You f*ck up the minds of the children you harrased/assaulted. It f*cks up their perspectives as a child. It's hard to fix. As I grow up, it was hard for me to regain my confidence and self-love. It was tiring and I even tried to commit su*c*de.
To all the people who experienced the same ('cause not only girls experience r*pe, don' t you ever forget that!), whether it be you're a girl or a boy or part of the lgbt, keep fighting for your life! Never give up. It was hard but I know we can get through it. I, myself, still have nightmares sometimes but I am now able to respond to it without breaking down. And most importantly, NEVER BE AFRAID TO SEEK HELP. If you need help, ask for it. There are still people who are kind-hearted. Therapy helps too! So please, don't keep it all to yourself. If you can't take it anymore, ask for help.
You can also message me if you need to. Spread love and not hate! Have a safe day.

Could you do 29 (‘When was the last time you slept?!?’) for Malvie? Perhaps Evie is being stressed about the number of orders she has to complete, revising for a exams, or both simultaneously? Or perhaps it could be worked into a chapter from I'm just a teenage dirtbag?' Perhaps Mal hasn't been sleeping because she's too caught up in helping Evie sleep, worrying that she isn't enough to protect her, dealing with her own Isle trauma kind of thing? Either way, I adore your works! Thank you!
This one ties into my fic 'we're so close yet so far apart' :)TW: Panic attacks and discussion of questionable consent.*They diagnosis Evie with PTSD, and her parents quickly put her in therapy. At first, it works. She is able to sleep a little better, and the anxiety medication they put her on is a blessing but then the nightmares start up. Evie lays in bed and stares up at the ceiling, she counts the plastic stars that Ben put up their first year; she makes wishes on them, she wishes that this ache inside of her would go away. But it doesn’t, it just gets worse and she pretends that it isn’t real. She pretends that she’s had a good night’s sleep in a week, and she pretends like the moment her eyes close she doesn't think of is the Isle. The worst though are the nights when she remembers the feeling of being under Uma’s strong influence. She remembers trying so hard to fight it, trying to hang onto her memories of Mal; she even remembers how it hadn’t worked at first and how angry Uma had gotten. The worst part is remembering how rough Uma had been with her when she kissed her, how she pulled away and looked at Mal who looked so betrayed and disgusted. That’s what haunts her to the most, the way her body and love was used as a way to inflict revenge on Mal.Audrey tries as hard as she can to comfort her, and sometimes she wordlessly crawls into Evie’s bed at night and falls asleep beside her. Evie appreciates it, but all she wants is Mal. When she is with her girlfriend, Evie feels safer; she knows that Mal will never let another thing happen to her, she knows she’ll always be cared for with Mal beside her. On the same hand, Evie doesn’t want to torture her girlfriend with anymore guilt. She knows how hard Mal is still struggling with it all, and she refuses to add to that.“Evie?”Evie startles as she blinks up at Ben, “Hm?”“You okay?” Ben asks in a low voice.“I’m fine.” Evie nods as she forces a strained smile onto her face. “My meds have just been making me a little tired since they upped the dosage.”Ben studies her for a moment before his face softens ever so slightly, “You’re lying.”“I don’t want to talk about this.” Evie snaps as she looks down at the book in her lap, a book she doesn’t even remember grabbing. “Just leave it alone, Ben. Please.”“I will. For now.” Ben sighs as he makes his way to the doors of the study and pauses to glance back at Evie. “Mal is worried about you. Everyone is.”Evie ignores him. Or maybe she doesn’t hear him at all, Ben really can’t tell. But he can see from his sister’s expression that she’s a million miles away. With a frown of defeat he leaves, but instead of returning to his office he simply closes the door and sinks down against the wood. On the other side of the door, Evie bites her lip until it bleeds and closes her eyes to fight the images playing in her head; yet she can’t escape them, she never will.-“Tie her up.”“You don’t have to do this.”“Oh, but I do.”Evie thrashes helplessly in her bed as the nightmare plagues her. She can feel the fingers curling around her bicep and squeezing until she is sure there will be a hand shaped bruise left in his wake. The smell of salt and dead fish is potent as she is tossed against a pole and her head snaps hard against the wood. And then hands are all over her; they pull at her, tighten a rope around her, and brush over her cheek while she stares into faceless monsters. As soon as she hears a cackle she knows what is coming, a scream rips from her throat as they pull the ropes around her wrist tight enough to dig into her skin.“Evie! Evie, darling, wake up!”Evie whimpers as she shudders in a breath and feels familiar arms wrap around her, “Mommy?”“It’s me, sweetheart. I’m here.” Belle soothes as she rests a hand against Evie’s head and guides her to rest on her shoulder. “A bed maid heard you screaming from down the hall, she ran to get me as soon as she realized you weren’t stopping.”“I-It was just a dream?” Evie shudders out.“It was just a dream, baby. You’re safe.” Belle assures as she holds Evie to her. “Tale as old as time, true as it can be. Barely even friends then somebody bends unexpectedly.”Evie sniffles and laughs, “Really?”“I used to sing this song to you and Ben when you’d have nightmares, I’m not stopping now.” Belle teases with a small smile. “Just a little change, small to say that least. Both a little scared, neither of them prepared. Beauty and the beast.”“I don’t want to close my eyes…” Evie admits.Belle frowns, “Why?”“I don’t want to see them.” Evie replies as she winds her arms around Belle’s waist. “Mommy, will you please stay with me?”“Of course, Evie.” Belle assures her as she scoots back on the bed and carefully pulls Evie into her. “I won’t leave you, okay?”“Pinky promise?”Belle smiles as she looks down at the teen in her arms, and for a moment she is reminded of Evie with chubby cheeks and unruly curls. She looks down at the terrified girl in her arms and all she sees is that little girl she met in the clinic. Her eyes burn with tears, but she is quick to blink them away as she tightens her grasp on Evie and ducks her head to press a kiss to silky blue hair.“Pinky promise.”-Evie stops going to therapy, she doesn’t see a point anymore. All her doctor does is hum and scribble things down on a pad of paper, and he doesn’t understand. He tells her that she has to let time heal her wounds, but how is time supposed to heal wounds that never stop bleeding? So, she takes to ditching her sessions and plastering on fake smiles as she tries to move on with her life. It works for a while, but she knows people are catching on; she’s always irritated, she snaps at everyone but Mal and Ben, and she pretty much takes herself out of spending time with her friends.“This will be good for you.”Evie glares towards Audrey, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”“Okay.” Audrey shrugs.“I have homework. I don’t need to be attending a movie night.” Evie grumbles as Audrey taps a little beat against Jane’s dorm door. “I’m going to go back to our dorm and…”“There you are.”Evie gasps and turns with fear filled eyes until she sees that it’s only Mal, “Hi.”“Hi.” Mal replies in a slow tone.“It’s about time you guys got here,” Jay greets as he opens the door and ushers them in. “You’ve missed all the fun. Dude ate all of the gummies, Carlos has made himself into a blanket burrito, Lonnie and Hayden won’t stop making out, and Chad is arguing with Jane over what movie to watch.”Mal takes Evie’s hand as they walk into the dorm room, “I thought we agreed on a horror.”“Chad wants a romantic comedy.” Jay sighs with a roll of his eyes.Eventually, everything is sorted out and the group spreads themselves all over Jane’s large dorm room while a suspenseful soundtrack plays. Evie is tucked into the corner of the couch with her knees pulled up to her chest and her chin resting on her kneecap as she tries to pretend she’s the least bit interested. She hasn’t ever really been fond of scary movies, especially right now. She can already feel the telltale signs of a panic attack building as she looks around the darkened room and tries to block out the screaming pouring from the TV speakers. She tries to stay, she does, but after yet another scream she can’t help but press her hands over her ears. Mal is the first to notice her discomfort and as soon as Evie sees a hand reaching for her she is quick to jump up from the couch. All of her friends are suddenly replaced with smirking pirates and she presses a hand to her stomach as it twists painfully. Just as she turns to run, she gasps as she crashes into a broad chest and feels fingers curl slowly around her wrists.“Don’t touch me!”The entire room goes quiet as Evie sinks away from Jay, and her hand immediately goes to her wrist as she rubs the scars. Everything around her blurs together and her knees feel weak, and she barely feels it when they make contact with the hardwood floor of the dorm room. Evie can’t breathe, she feels like she’s back on the Isle. Every breath she takes, she can taste the stale salt in the air and she can smell the hint of fish that always seemed to linger on the pirates that harassed her. A sob breaks free as she curls her hands to her chest and tries to pull herself back to reality.“E?”Mal is there. Evie can hear her voice, and it calms her for only a moment. But as quick as it comes, it goes. Mal is on the boat, Mal is in danger. Her hands reach out and she grabs onto stiff leather before she pulls herself closer until she replace the smell of salt with the familiar scent of strawberries. The second arms curl around her, Evie settles. She can feel her breath slowing as she tucks herself under Mal’s chin and matches her own breaths with the way Mal’s chest moves beneath her.“You’re okay. You’re okay.”As Mal continues to repeat the words, Evie allows them to lull her to sleep.-The first thing she feels when she wakes up is the soft brush of lips against her forehead. Normally, she would bask in it but it’s a touch that she hasn’t consented to so she instead pulls away with a hiss. She hesitantly opens her eyes and frowns as she sees Mal lying beside, and she glances around to see the splashes of blue and pink and she knows she’s back in her dorm room. With a whimper, Evie reaches for Mal and tugs her close until arms are curled so tightly around her that it aches.“How did I get here?” Evie rasps.Mal runs her fingers along the dips of her spine as she sighs, “Jay carried you back. You’ve been asleep since last night, and it’s already two in the afternoon. Fairy Godmother excused us from classes, Ben told her that we somehow are both sick at the same time.”“Oh.”“Evie,” Mal begins as she pulls back so she can lock their gazes, and Evie flinches at the concern. “When is the last time that you slept?”“I just did…”“You know what I mean, princess.” Mal sighs.Evie swallows hard as she begins to play with the soft material of Mal’s t-shirt, “Truth? I don’t really know. I sleep in little splurts, I try to sleep a lot during the day.”“What’s going on with you, E?” Mal demands as she furrows her brow and pauses her fingers. “You’re not sleeping, you’re distant, and I have never seen you react to Jay in a negative way.”“I’ve...my anxiety is really bad.” Evie admits as she ducks her head. “I thought it was getting better, but then the nightmares started getting more intense. I just can’t get over what happened, Mal. I’ve tried, but I can’t. I’m so sorry.”“Why are you apologizing?” Mal scoffs.“I...I kissed her.” Evie whispers.“Evie, don’t ever apologize for what happened that night. You were...you didn’t want any of that and I know that.” Mal assures her as she runs a thumb over the dimple of her chin. “I’m the one who should be sorry, it happened because of me.”“I’m falling apart, Mal.” Evie whimpers.“And that’s why you have me. That’s why you have your parents and Ben.” Mal points out. “We’re here so you don’t have to fall apart, we’re here to hold you together.”“I just don’t know how to get over it.” Evie murmurs after a moment. “I realize that I was under the influence of Uma’s spell, but...I remember what happened. I remember all the things I said to you. I remember how she touched me, how she kissed me, how she held me.”Mal shifts herself so she can cup Evie’s face as her girlfriend’s chest begins to heave, “Shh. You’re okay. You’re here, you’re with me. You will never have to deal with Uma again, okay?”“I want her out of my head.” Evie chokes out as she looks up at Mal with a desperate gaze. “Pl-Please get her out of my head.”“Are you suggesting I…?” Mal frowns.“Anything, Mal. Just...get her out of my head.” Evie begs as she clenches her jaw. “I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can barely think straight.”Mal brushes a thumb over Evie’s lips, “I’m not going to spell you.”“Please, Mal!”“No.” Mal snaps as her eyes flash, and Evie ducks back in surprise. “I won’t do that to you, it isn’t right. I know you want to forget, but casting a spell on you isn’t the way to do it.”Evie sniffles, “Then how?”“I don’t know, princess,” Mal confesses with a saddened frown. “But we’ll figure this out. You and me and the space between, remember?”“You and me.” Evie nods.“You need to sleep.” Mal notes as she looks her over.“I’m fine.” Evie protests.“You’re scared, but I’m here. If you even begin to make a single face in your sleep then I’ll wake you up. I won’t let anything happen to you.” Mal grins as she pushes Evie back down and slides behind her. “I am right beside you, okay?”Evie pulls Mal’s arm around her waist and sniffles softly, “Will you sing to me?”“Sure, princess. But don’t tell anyone because I’m rotten to the core and I don’t want anyone forgetting that.” Mal huffs, and and she smiles as Evie gives a small giggle.“Okay.”“A million thoughts in my head, should’ve let my heart keep listening. Cause up till now, I’ve walked the line. Nothing lost, but something missing. I can’t decide what’s wrong, what’s right. Which way should I go?”Evie falls asleep to Mal’s soft voice, and for the first time in awhile she thinks that maybe she can do this. Maybe she can get better. Maybe there’s a way to fight her inner demons. So long as she has her girlfriend and the people she loves, she thinks there’s a way to move past this.
