I posted some 🤔🤔🤔 about last week's mandalorian episode & the things other ppl were saying about it, but just to be clear I am fundamentally here to enjoy the starwars pew pew show and (with a little trust in the writers that they will end it when it ends and won't stretch it out to 27 soulless seasons of bad writing and bland and inconsistent characterization) my overall opinion on season 3 is, three cakes!!!!!

#mandalorian spoilers (for the tags)#it's so moving to see Din encourage Grogu to take risks and strive for what he is capable of #(risks as in; the risk of losing and everybody knowing that he lost; the risk of winning and everybody knowing that he won!!)#when Grogu has been reluctant to show his force abilities and has pretty heavily relied on being super cute so everyone likes him #like this isn't Din only being satisfied with Grogu meeting high expectations #this is Din knowing Grogu is capable and watching him play it safe & challenging him to live out loud a little #also !!! I was so delighted to see Ahmed Best in the credits!!#I saw Phantom Menace when I was a kid and I unironically loved Jar Jar from the moment I saw merch about the characters #I heard that Ahmed had a really hard time with the fan backlash against Jar Jar and I'm so glad to see him be a part of Star Wars again #in a super badass role
