Forever Young

Age shaming to me is an interesting thing. I find it funny, not haha funny but the weird type, that people will compare a picture or video of a celebrity in their 20s to how they look and move in their late 30s, 40s, or even 50s and say "what happened?" The same thing that will hopefully happen to everyone, if they're lucky to live long enough, they aged.

I was recently watching This Christmas and some of the people I was watching with were discussing Lauren London and one of the women said, she doesn't look like that anymore and proceeded to pull up pictures of how she looks now. You mean to tell me that nearly 40 year old Lauren London doesn't look like 21/22 year old Lauren London. Color me shocked. Shocked I say.

Millennials are having to accept that we are aging and that we are technically middle aged. While most of us are only in our mid-late 30s and that is hardly old, it would be a lie to say that we don't look our age. There are very few of us that still looked how we did in our early 20s. When I see a post on social media of someone bragging about their age and saying 50 where or 40 where? I wanna say there because we can see it. It's there, it may not be obvious to everyone else but I can see it. Many times when a gen zer has a young looking mom, it is because the mom is usually young. If you're 20 and your mom had you at 16, that means she's only 36 and should look young because she is young. This obsession with proving ones youth and ability to remain looking youthful is weird and pointless. I see some stars who had some of their most iconic looks in the 80s and 90s, trying to recreate those looks' in their 50s and 60s and I'm just like, ok you look good but you definitely remade that outfit to fit your current size and body shape or let that dress out some and there is no shame because it looks great and makes for great content but let's be for real. You look good but not the way you did in your 20s and that's okay. Some of us age "better" than others but we still age, nonetheless.

I think with social media, the constant creation of appreciation posts and the uploading of old shows and videos from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and even 2000s we forget that people age because we're so used to seeing them how they looked in they heyday that we forget it was so long ago. Many stars reach their peak in their late teens-early 30s and even if they are still currently working, we often only see pictures of them from that period, so it can be a bit jarring to see a recent picture of that same celeb and see that they've aged and in some instances, not the way the public imagined them to have. I remember a few years ago when the Nicole Murphy, Lela Rochon, and Antwan Fuqua, cheating scandal/love triangle happened, people had the nerve to say that he deserved to cheat because Nicole Murphy still looked the same in her 50s as she did in her 20s and Lela Rochon let herself go. The sheer delusion of thinking a woman in her late 50s, almost 60s, who has lived life, had children, maybe health issues will look the way she did in her 20s and don't get me wrong, Lela's face card isn't declining, her body is just different and while everyone thinks they will be Nicole still wearing bikinis with their right and tight bodies that put women half their age to shame, lets be realistic. In my 20s and early 30s, I ate horribly and barely exercised but I was able to lose weight by simply working out a few times a week and tweaking my diet, now in my late 30s, I try to control my diet and I work out an hour a day, every day, sometimes even adding a walk or two with my children, and the scale has barely budged since having my youngest daughter almost 3 years ago. It has taken a bit to accept that my body has changed because I am a woman nearing a certain age. I am a woman in her 30s, who looks like she is in her 30s. I know women who look young and have barely aged and I can tell you that while she does take care of herself, genetics has a big part to play in it and you can't outrun genetics. It catches up to you every time. Angela Bassett, who is goals in her 60s, works incredibly hard and keeps a very disciplined regimen to maintain her physique and let's be honest, most of us are not that disciplined.

It is a weird flex to go to someone and say "that's why you old" as if time is not ever moving and one day they will be old too. No one stays in their 20s forever, unless they have unfortunately met an early demise and in that case, they truly are forever young but if you are aging, that God for the ability to live and enjoy life, no matter what age you are.

I need to ventilate a little. Why can't I just have "normal" friends. Of course I have friends, but they are not normal like that. They are usually selfish who only think about themselves, and who loves to talk about themselves. And as a kind friend that I am, I sit and listen to their shit, but when I want to tell them something, they don't listen at all. I don't know if you even can call them friends to be honest, because a real friend will listen to you too. It's give and take but most people just take.

A so-called friend of mine had been seeing a guy for about 2 months but he had basically ghosted her so they would have met 4-5 times at most before that, and now it's been 3 months since they "broke up" and she's still sad over this guy. And she is now obsessed with this guy. The only thing i hear is about this guy and her stalking him like i don't know what. It's not healthy. I understand that love hurts because it does but this guy was not a nice person from what she told me, so please move on because my ears are bleeding.

Anyway so one day when I wanted to tell her something that happened to me, she said this "Not to be like that but I can't listen to your problems because I'm still sad about this guy". After that I didn't talk about myself anymore i just listen and give advice.

Another thing is do you remember that i have told you about my mother-in-law and that she cut all ties with us, her own family like we were not worth anything and wrote and called us lots of mean things so we chose to leave. I want nothing to do with her. For my partner it might be difficult, after all she is his mother.

One day his sister showed up here with their mother and I can't just say "Stop" in the door. Im not that kind of a person so she was allowed in just that one time. And two days ago, his mother and daughter wanted to come here again for coffee, so I said we were sick, which we were, so I wasn't lying. I don't want her to think she's welcome here because she's not. Unfortunately I feel that I don't want her here after all she has done and said. Maybe that sounds harsh but that's how I feel. I have deleted this person everywhere and it was not long ago that she sat and called me disgusting and other things to her other daughter. I will not stand there with open arms and act as if nothing has happened. No thank you.

I just felt like I wanted to vent a little. Thank you for listening to my bs ❤️

I'm like 5'5 or 5'6 so pretty average. I'm ok with it but I kinda wish I was taller lol

Idk about negative but I've been told my legs are getting big by family. Another family member also told me they were fat lmao

Both ig? I used to do it more healthily but this recent dip back into being obsessed with getting skinny has been the worst so far lmao.

Rn it's 96 lbs. I certainly could get there by the end of the year but knowing me I probably won't. A bitch can dream. A bitch can also undo a week's worth of progress in one day.

Day 15: Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you to lose weight? If no, do you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?

I tried veganism out a few years ago, but I'd never go back to it. I don't need stress dreams of accidentally eating meat or dairy products and binging. Fuck the cows tbh

I actually don't know. I have memories of trying to stop eating altogether and then binging on uncrustables from when I was younger, but I only really got into calorie counting like 2-3 years ago?

Nah but I certainly relate to the ed side of tumblr more than the dieting subreddits I used to subscribe to. Idk at what point you're allowed to say you have an eating disorder but I definitely have some disordered eating going on lol

Avocados and oil. Oil scares the living shit out of me, jesus. Why does there have to be so many calories in such a small amount??? And I love avocados but I just can't look at them the same anymore lmao

Idk the last time but my family gets it pretty often. I used to use it as an excuse to binge but once you learn the low cal options it isn't rlly scary anymore

I don't really go by any specific diets, I just try to stay under a specific amount of calories

Idk at this point. It varies too much depending on the brand so I just try shit on and don't pay attention to the size

Pros and Cons: Why Was I Doing Drugs?

My first exercise in my out-patient rehab program was to list 20 pros or "payoffs" and 20 cons or "costs" that I had to using drugs. My drugs of choice were marijuana, alcohol, Adderall, and huffing nitrous oxide (also known as "whippets").

Here are my 20 payoffs, the reasons I did the drugs:

1. That relaxing, floating feeling the whippets would give me. I felt physically and mentally numb, my body was tingly, and I would get a head rush.

2. Being able to drown my depression and anxiety in intoxication.

3. I grew to love and crave the feeling of the whippets flowing through my body and filling up my lungs.

4. The lightheadedness feeling from the whippets that would make me feel like passing out, and sometimes actually passing out.

5. The "whomp-whomps" (the sound hallucinations whippets give you).

6. The taste of nitrous oxide.

7. The nice, heavy sleep after using whippets.

8. That sweet taste of Adderall in the back of my thoat when I would snort it.

9. Being able to stay awake and alert for as long as I needed to when abusing Adderall.

10. Losing 20 pounds from Adderall abuse and feeling more confident in my body.

11. I grew to love the action of snorting itself.

12. Adderall made my overall well-being great. I felt happy if I was high on Adderall.

13. All of the friends I made through marijuana/smoking culture.

14. The memories I've made while smoking/ingesting marijuana. I have some pretty crazy, fun stories.

15. Smoking a blunt to myself. Something about it is just relaxing, and nice, like I'm treating myself. I also taught myself to French inhale, which became an obsession of mine.

16. Being part of the pot culture, and being described as "cool" or "chill" because I smoked.

17. Being able to have a good time with other intoxicated people at parties and social gatherings.

18. Being able to order drinks at bars and restaurants, especially because I've only been 21 for a few months.

19. Drinking to become more out-going, less anxious, and more social.

20. All the knowledge I've gained about mind-altering substances and how it affects you in positive and negative ways.

And my 20 costs, the reasons that motivated me to quit:

1. Temporarily solved the pain, but prolonged and worsened the depression and anxiety. I felt like my mental health was deteriorating.

2. I can't breathe like I used to anymore. Sometimes I feel like I'm gasping for air that isn't there, like I just can't fill my lungs up. Sometimes I have trouble sleeping at night because I can't breathe.

3. My nose bleeds randomly from snorting Adderall.

4. The whippets can cause damage to bone marrow, which led to tooth sensitivity, and my gums would bleed every time I would brush my teeth.

5. Losing track of time and "go missing" for hours because I was so high from the whippets.

6. I would sleep with a drug dealer for whippets, Adderall, marijuana, and other drugs as well as for food and money.

7. I would spend all my money on drugs. I once spent my entire student loan on marijuana one semester. With Adderall, I was buying $150+ worth at a time. With whippets, I would spend every last cent, drained my checking and savings accounts, sneak money from my parents, lie to them about where it was going, and leave myself no money for food or bills.

8. I feel as if I've developed an eating disorder after abusing Adderall and losing so much weight.

9. The hallucinations and the feeling of losing my mind when I was awake for 70 hours straight after abusing lots of Adderall at once.

10. The comedown of Adderall abuse. I went through mental and physical withdrawals. I felt empty, dead, worthless, and as if I had nothing to live for anymore.

11. The dependency. The feeling that you just need the substance in order to get through anything.

12. All the times I threw up from alcohol, which was pretty much every time I got drunk.

13. The guilty feeling after lying to friends about my use, stealing money from my parents and lying about where it was going, and hiding from everyone I loved just so I could use without their disappointment.

14. The feeling of being judged for using drugs, like all I am is a druggie or bad influence.

15. The only way I've been able to cope up to this point has been to fill my body with things that are dangerous for me.

16. The lonely and ashamed feeling when I hide in my car to use whippets or snort Adderall. The distance I would create between myself and the people I love because I was hiding my hurt and didn't want them to know what was going on with me.

17. The look on my friends' faces when they found me in my car using whippets after being clean for 3 weeks...it broke my heart.

18. The fact that my parents no longer trust me enough to give me any money because they feel like they'll be enabling me to continue to use.

19. The effect the whippets and marijuana abuse had on my school attendance and homework.

20. The freezer burn I gave myself from the whippets on my lip, chin, and even leg.

My takeaway from this assignment:

The pros were harder to come up with than the cons. Listing them all out when you're trying to be sober, it's so easy to remember all the reasons you want to quit, but it's hard to remember more than a couple reasons that made you want to continue doing them. Another thing I noticed, the pros, they aren't reasons. They're just excuses I would tell myself to continue to use.

Another thing to notice is that a lot of the pros and cons kind of go hand in hand. For example, the pro: "losing 20 pounds and feeling more confident in my body" and the con: "I feel as if I developed an eating disorder after losing all that weight," they connect. Some excuses you have to continue to use may sound like a pro, but it ends in a con. Also notice how the cons are much more descriptive and sound much worse than any of the pros. Let me tell you something, those pros/excuses, they are not worth the cons.

Prompt:

Comedy Chimp was in a hysteria of panic, the news had just announced the most popular celebrity pet: Tinkle Dipples, to be housed in Hedgehog Village while preparing to shoot a cameo in the famous Tommy Thunder movies.

Eggman and Amy compete in a tournament/competition to win the right to take care of Tinkle Dipples for the shooting, since his manager is going fangirl over Tommy Thunder, she doesn’t want to care for him and instead, has Amy--the winner of the tournament--sign some legal documents and take off to pursue her hero.

Sympathizing a bit with the manager but more excited about the cute, idol puppy, Amy takes her job very seriously as Eggman whines and complains about his loss and plans to do something about it..!

“I knew I should have played Dynamite Dalmatian but she had Rover Clover on the field, you can’t EXPLODE ROLL WITH MAXIUM LUCK ON YOUR OPPONENTS TEAM!” he wept and tossed his arms about as they wacked against his bed.

Orbot and Cubot just looked to each other, unsure how to comfort him. “Sir, perhaps scheming against Sonic and his friends while one of their prominent members is distracted could prove useful and make you feel better?” Orbot stated, as the two held up a pen and some graph paper, “Scheming always puts you in a better mood for evil...” He encouraged again.

Collecting himself and rubbing his massive hands under his glasses, he sniffled as he took the paper and started sketching. “Ohh...hoo... hoo...oh-ho? Oh ho! Oh-ho-ho-ho-wha-hahaha!!!” with soft cries that suddenly turned manic with evil, he scribbled more furiously and immediately cranked his back and threw his arms to an angle in his signature laughter.

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were playing beachball when Sticks poked her head out of the local garage dump, “Heeeey, wait a minute!” she threw a banana peel off her head a second, “Volleyball and Beachball are the same things! Why are they called differently!? Do they respond to the same name!?”

“Guess you could call it Beach Volleyball.” Tails shrugged, “Though, technically, beachball is the thing you use to play volleyball...” As he continued, Knuckles spiked and knocked him down while he was contemplating it.

“Haha! Snooze you loose!” Knuckles mocked, throwing his arms down to point at Tails.

“Grr... Knuckles! We’re on the same team!” He spat out sand and dusted himself off.

“Oh.” Knuckles then gestured to himself, “Well, then I was awake and quaked!”

Tails shook his head, “Sonic, do you have to play on your own team?”

“What? I’m fast enough for two!” Showing off his amazing speed, Sonic zipped around the court to where it looked like Sonic was literally playing by himself, “I could even play all teams!” He snatched the ball from the ground and pushed--or lightly placed--Knuckles and Tails out of the field to then play the game by himself.

“Still seems a bit unfair, though.” Tails pouted, folding his arms.

“No, no. Shh!!! I wanna see which team wins!” Knuckles became excited, “Woo! Go, Left field Sonic! Ah! No! Watch out, Right field Sonic! Nooo..!!! Oh, phew... Wait-Sonic!” Knuckles went through typical spectators reactions, gripping his head, tugging on his hair, before cheering yet again, “Yeeeahhh! Good forward arm there, Left field Sonic! Rooted for your along! ... Hey, which one’s Sonic again?” he looked to Tails.

“At least you got the fields right.” Tails side-commented before stepping back up to Sonic. “Is this because Amy wouldn’t come down to the beach today?”

“Yeah, we can’t help it if I’m too good for the two of ya.” He twirled the ball on his finger, “Besides, Amy can’t--and won’t--part with that Tinkle... Dinkle... Winkle... whatever his name is!” Sonic fanned a hand out, masking his own opinions on it. “Amy’s obsessed with that thing...”

“Huh, I always thought Amy was obsessed with y-” Tails seemed to panic and jumped up to cover Knuckles’s mouth.

“Knuckles-!” he cried out, then lowered his voice to whisper down to him, clinging to his head and shoulder. “We’re supposed to pretend we don’t know anything about that...”

“Anything about what now?” Sonic was still doing tricks with the volleyball.

“N-nothing!” Tails waved his hands out and flew a moment in the air. “An-anyway, I don’t think I’m really in the mood to keep playing. I’ve got uh... some... some engineering stuff to work on! Bye, Sonic!” He waved and took off.

“Engine-erring!?” Sticks spat out a flat tire that had been thrown away that she was gnawing on to find the trapped gerbil that she believed made the car’s wheels turn and free it from it’s imprisonment at last. “Oh no, you don’t!” she jumped out and rushed after him, barking as he flew up and in a bit of surprised fright, tried to dodge her but she jumped and grabbed his foot. “You aren’t making nothing to torture these gerbils anymore!”

“W-wha-what are you talking about!? Le-let goooo!!!” The two flew off and seemed to crash somewhere.

“I-uh... better check on that.” Knuckles saw Sonic offering to share the ball with him but decided to check on his friends first. “Sticks! Wait! I’m sure that nice village of Gogobas are still safely in their pity parties!”

Sonic sighed, “Oooh...” And let the ball go to kick it, letting it roll as a Eggman spybot was hit out of a bush and flew up.

“Guess I’ll check on Amy then...” Sonic took off towards her house.

“Hehehe-huhuhu...” Eggman rubbed his hands together, sitting happily in front of his screen in his evil lair. “There we go... I’ll snatch Mr. Tinkle Dipples the second Amy’s distracted by Sonic!” He roared confidently in laughter. “My machine is almost complete! Orbot! Cubot!”

“Yes, Doctor?!” Cubot nervously saluted as Eggman turned around to face the two in his spinning chair.

��Make sure my robot pooch is fully operational!”

“Yes, doctor!” The two took off...

Sonic raced to the door, but before knocking, looked himself over in the reflection of a window and adjusted his quills, then tightened his bandana. He choked, loosening the bandana again and grumbling to himself something but the only audible line one could hear was--”Never learned to tie a tie...” before rushing back to door and knocking this time.

“Busy!” Amy cried from within.

His entire confident air deflated, and he drooped forward with his arms hanging down, “Oooh... Uh, it’s me! Sonic! ... Sonic The Hedgehog!” He puffed himself up just a little bit more, calling and leaning more towards the door. “Hero extraordinary! ... So much better than a puppy...” He folded his arms and mumbled the last bit to himself.

“Oh-oh... C-coming!” Amy seemed to scramble but Sonic could hear multiple layers of locks, chairs, wooden-door stoppers and more start being cleared away like a construction site. She peeked open the door, “Come in!” she chimed, “Quickly, quickly, quickly..!” She then rushed him in and put one single lock back on the door. “Eh, I’ll take of that later.”

“Woah, what’s with the, uh... high-end security arrangement, Ames?” Sonic thumbed-back to the door but Amy rushed over to a stool with a soft pillow on it, making the little puppy look like royalty as his tongue hung out and he drooled.

His eyes grew intensely large like in anime and shined, trying to such Sonic into his cuteness as Sonic felt the pull but leaned away.

It shone with heavenly aura as it’s eyes kept growing bigger but Sonic about-faced and turned to Amy, “Uhh... How’s the pooch-sitting coming along-” he was surprised to see she was completely captivated by the puppy and already squatting by the stool, gawking and taking pictures as her own eyes looked bigger than normal.

“Aww, cute puppy! Sweet boy! Look over hereee~” she cooed and coddled as it continued to pant, it’s eyes normal to Sonic now. “Who’s the cutest, wutest, sweetest, squishiest cheek boy ever?~” she then scrunched up his cheeks and played with them as they jiggled and wobbled to her touch, spraying drool everywhere...

“Oh.” He realized he was being ignored. “Alright, no worries, just the most dashing man of the hour in your house... No need to over-celebrate.” He frowned and pushed his arms straight down again. “Dumb dog.” he muttered under his breath.

“WHAT DID YOU SAY!?” Amy’s big, sparkling eyes went right into his face, as though a brainwashed-slave to this puppy as he shook his head in intimidation at her creepy smile.

“N-no-nothing! Just how cute the puppy iswh! Is-!” he almost mimicked Amy’s baby-talk on accident. “Ehem, Amy, I normally would never do this under typical and honorable circumstances but in this case-” He shoved her hands to his cheeks, “I think you see my point.” he beamed.

“...Uh, I guess?” Amy took her hands off his cheeks, “You hungry or something?”

He deflated yet again, his eyes just saucers of white. “N... No.”

She raised an eyebrow.

“...Yes.” He shrugged down, and as she went to the kitchen, he glared and clenched his jaw at the puppy. He zipped over to it, “Listen you, I don’t know what fame has done to your head or anything, but I’m not here to stand for your pompous treatment of my friend!”

The dog continued to drool, one eye blinking.

“But I’ll have you know that I’m the big shot in these parts! And Amy just happens to be madly in love with me!” He pointed to himself and then picked up the constantly panting dog. “Not you. So you can wag your little tail and stick out your tongue somewhere else!” He dashed to one of Amy’s bird cages and shoved the dog in, causing a minor yelp from it but it wasn’t hurt, just surprised as Sonic tarped it and headed back to Amy.

Sitting at the counter, he then crossed his legs, “So-ho-ho~ Amy~ Have I told you about the one time I-”

“Yep.” Amy continued to work on the food.

“I-I didn’t even say it.” Sonic squinted his eyes in suspicion at her.

“Uh-huh.”

“...Are you even listening to me?”

“All done!” she poured something into a bowl.

“Awesome! You’re cooking, might I say, is way better than Meh Burger when it comes to the ol’Sonic engine!” he rubbed his stomach and licked his chops before Amy swiped the bowl away from him as he went to bite down. “H-huh..? What just happened...” he spoke with his mouth open, mid-bite again, before he saw the puppy had mysteriously wound-up on the pillow stool again, Amy bringing the deluxe dog food over to him.

“Here you go, Mr. Tinkle Dinkles~ Yes, who’s hungry? Who’s the biggest star in Hedgehog Village and the world? And the whole wide wittle world? You are~ You are, you good boy~” she petted him as he leaned his head back, thumped his leg at her praise and loving scratches, and then flopped over her lap to gorge himself in her home-prepared dog food.

Sonic leaned against the couch, narrowing his eyes at the sight as he muttered more curses for the dog under his breath...

He had a thought bubble that then showed a chibi-version of Amy and the pooch, her scratching his belly and loving on him but the dog faded and a Chibi-Sonic replaced it. Snickering and cackling as Chibi-Amy continued her smothering but the Dog was now whining with it’s tail between it’s legs, trapped in a Meh Burger costume with a sign that read: ‘Will pee for attention’.

Sonic continued to snicker to himself before the doorbell rang again.

“Oh?” Amy lightly placed the dog back on his stool and used a finely made napkin with ‘Fuzzy Puppy Buddies’ logo on it to clean up his mouth before heading to the door. “Who could that be?”

While Amy was distracted, Sonic sped over to the dog, grabbed it, pulled back the window and tossed the dog with a under-handed swing out the window. It hung in the air a moment before going, “Oof?” like a little woof and fell straight down...

Into Eggman’s hands...

“Hehehe, hohoho..!” Eggman placed a mechanical dog down, doing the exact animations as the dumb little creature in the first place. “Now you’re coming with daddy sweetie~ Who’s a big, bright, beautiful star? You are~ You are Mr. Tinkle Dipples~ Uncle Eggy has a nice place set up just for you~” he wiggled his finger to the puppy and continued to adore it secretly while sneaking away.

“I’m gonna miss Metal Pooch.” Cubot wiped an imaginary tear from his eye. “Such beautiful destruction he caused...”

“Yeah... The steel heart mends, Cubot. Give it time to rust.” Orbot patted Cubot and helped turn him away from the sight.

When Amy closed the door again, she turned around with a shriek, panicking and tearing her house up looking for the dog. Sonic tried everything to get her to turn her attention to him, even momentarily throwing away his pride and setting up a floor-lounge with candle-lit setting with a rose in and across his mouth,... but she was too busy searching to see.

He spat out the rose and it hit her on the back of her head, “Ah! Sonic! We don’t have time for-...” Her eyes shrunk at the scene, and it might have been enough as their eyes met and romantic music started playing as he lifted up his foot and clicked a radio with his heel.

“Who’s a good boy..?” he flirted, but suddenly...

“BARK. BARK. I AM BARKING LIKE A CUTE, WITTLE BOY. BARK. BARK.”

“Oh my stars!” Amy raced to the window, “Mr. Tinkle Dipples!? What are you doing out here?” she had big, anime eyes again... as though love was blinding her from seeing the fakeness of the dog.

She cradled it in her arms after reaching down the window to get it.

“BARK. BARK. I AM THE GOODEST OF BOYS.” It’s robot voice was a dead giveaway, but Sonic was amazed to see that Amy kept caring for it, spoon-feeding it as it took the food but lifted its tail to dispel it out the other end.

“Ohh~ Did Tinkle Dipples make a wittle present-mess-le?” Amy put her hands to her hips as Sonic couldn’t take it anymore.

“HE’S A ROBOT!” He spindashed the Eggman robot as it powered down.

“Ohh... Goodest of b-b-boys...” and shut down.

“NNNOOOO!!!” Amy freaked out, crying and holding him in her lowered arms.

“Amy! Snap out of it! It’s a decoy!” Sonic put his hands on her shoulders and shook her, and her eyes returned to normal. “H-huh? Sonic? When did you get here?”

He lowered his eyes in agitation, but then the news came on.

“This just came in, T.W Barker is suing Amy Rose for a violation of her contract, that’s right, MR. TINKLE DIPPLES IS MISSING! AHH!! THAT POOR, INNOCENT BOY! AHH! AHH, THE AGONY! Amy’s reputation is ruined by the way and the world will never forgive her awful crime of LOSING THE MOST ADORABLE PUPPY IN THE WOR-RL-RLD!!!” The eagle was losing himself in his grief, as Amy’s eyes twitched and she brought out her hammer, looking ready to murder Sonic.

“Wait!” He dodged, “Amy, listen to me! YIKES!” he had to dodge Amy all the way to Eggman’s, where they defeated him to get the puppy back, who was still as still and in a loop-animation as ever, but wagged its tail and licked Sonic’s face when successfully brought to the manager.

Amy’s reputation was spared and Cubot and Orbot got Tails to fix Metal Pooch, leaving him to a happy life with Mombot.

She sat and stroked him, “THERE. THERE. WHO’S THE GOODEST BOY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD BESIDES MY TWO OTHER EVIL BOY SONS?”

Metal Pooch continued the animation cycle, “I AM. I AM GOODEST BOY OF YOUR TWO EVIL SONS. BARK. BARK.”

Eggman frowned, watching from a window, “Ohh... Wait, how’d he end up there!?”

Cubot still visits to give him screws as a treat.

Amy looked to her friends, “Huh, I guess the moral here is to not let celebrities take over your lives and make you forget about your real friends...” She opened her arms up to everyone but instead, T.W Barker popped up, shocking everyone.

“And always keep your contractual obligations~” he winked to the camera with a sly grin.

“Evenwhenabluehedgehog,that’sbeentheloveofyourlifeforwhoknowshowlong,isflirtingwithyoujustbecausejealousyisapartofacopingmechanismoftennotprescribedwithourcompany’sproductremembertobrushyourteethandsayyourprayerssuckersthisistotallylegitmarketingschemes.”

he muttered under his breath as though the legalities at the end of a radio or t.v commercials.

“Ne, Jade- How much longer?”

“He’s only just started, Floyd, we need to be patient.”

“Aaah, I’m bored, I’m going to go play with those minnows. Call me when he’s done, kaaay?”

“Of course.”

Jade peered into the little cavern the three of them had claimed as their clubhouse from a young age. The other students in their school would tease, calling it a ‘lair’, where nefarious spells were being concocted by the weird, magic-obsessed tentacled merteen.

‘Well, perhaps they weren’t entirely wrong.’ Jade chuckled to himself, swimming inside the maw of the cave, following the small flickering light of what most certainly was the potion bubbling away.

Frantically poring over tomes the size of his torso and pouring various ingredients into the large pot in the center of the cavern was Azul, all ten of his limbs with something in hand. He measures with one tentacle, pours with another. Flips a page with one hand, write a note with another. There is a soft sheen of a sweat building on the brow of his lilac skin, an intense, determined look in his eye as he slowly builds his creation to completion.

Jade floats up next to his friend, his long tail bunching up under him as he rests alongside the cauldron. “It’s coming along nicely.”

Azul only grunted, barely acknowledging him. Azul’s one-track mind was more focused on finishing this, to fix the one thing that kept them stranded here in the sea, to let them be a part of the world on the surface.

Jade could read through Azul’s unspoken words and his resolve. Even into their young teen years, with how well Azul had made a name for himself as an up and coming mage, they still had their fair share of bullies; kids that didn’t like those who were different, kids that didn’t like those who had what they did not. It may not have been overt insults or physical interactions anymore, especially not with Jade or Floyd by his side, but the hushed whispers and side glances were still there. Perhaps on the surface it would be different. Or perhaps it would only further cause to isolate them from their peers as those who had forsaken their home. Jade chuckled. Not that that really was something that would hold them back.

“Imagine, Azul, a whole new world for us to spread our fins and explore. I’ve longed to see what is beyond the steep cliffs at the edge of the ocean, to see what manner of creatures await us there.” Jade mused to himself, filling the silence while Azul worked diligently, not caring that the octomer was too focused on his own work to respond back. “And it shall be wonderful to see Floyd bounce around on land, I am sure he will also get quite a kick out of everything it has to offer. It’s such a large world of opportunity ahead of us.”

“Jade.” Azul finally looked up, pausing from his notes. “You’re quite talkative today, is there something you wanted? I’m sure it can wait until after I’ve finished.”

Jade cocked his head and smiled delicately, his hand on his chest, polite as always. “Oh no, I am just entranced by the possibilities we have in store for us, Azul.” Azul regarded him for one more tic before turning back to his cauldron. Jade’s teeth flashed as his grin widened beside him, his true intentions held deep within his own heart.

It was quite a beautiful thing to watch Azul work. All of his limbs moved independently of another, and each tentacle was just as deft as his hands. Jade kept company as Azul continued, the two of them sitting in comfortable silence, only the sounds of the bubbles from the cauldron interrupting. The cauldron color shifted from clear to white.

Azul lets himself a small smile. Almost there.

“Jaaaaade~” Floyd’s voice floated in from the entrance to the cavern. “Azuuuuuul~” He haphazardly crashed into the cushions laid out against the far wall of the cavern and rolled around, eyeing his brother and Azul as they loomed over the large cauldron in the center of the cave. “Aren’t you guys done yet?”

Jade glanced up at him, the faint glow of the magic inside Azul’s cauldron reflecting ominously on his face as he gave a sharp-toothed grin. “On the final stages now, Floyd. A little more time-”

Floyd sighed. He curled his tail around himself, weaving it through the cushions and building himself a nest. A few of the minnows that he had been chasing had followed him into the cave, their curiosity getting the better of them. Floyd lazily swatted at them; they weren’t any fun anymore. He resorted to blowing bubbles, watching the other two as he waited for his boredom to subside until finally-

“It’s done!” Azul exclaimed, as the color of the potion turned bright gold. The color glinted incandescently on the cavern walls, the gold flecks in the stone walls coming to life and dancing as the potion continued to bubble in the cauldron.

Floyd untangled himself from his cushions and approached the pot, opposite Jade. The gold from the potion enhanced the color of their yellow eye, an otherwise sinister look were anyone else not in present company to have witnessed it. Jade and Floyd locked eyes with each other, the same mischievous thoughts running through their heads, identical grins spreading across their face.

“Finally, we can leave this world behind!”

Jade chuckled at Azul’s bright and ecstatic expression, a refreshing change of pace from his usual miserable, tear-and-ink stained face. If going to the world on land meant seeing a whole new side of Azul, with much more potential for entertainment, the brothers would gladly follow him.

At least for a little while longer.

14) Last thing I googled: “In which direction to turn your key to open the front door ” (The story behind this: I moved into a new apartment two weeks ago and it’s all new and it has super heavy doors that are so fucking hard to open and after desperately trying to unlock the stupid door for five minutes I wasn’t so sure anymore about which way is the right way to turn the key because neither way worked and I was afraid of breaking the key if I accidently turn it to hard in the wrong direction. End of story: I called my bf almost crying asking if he remembered which direction is the right one and he did and then I tried again with full force and the damn thing finally opened)

22) Instruments: None because sadly I have no musical talent :/ I tried to teach myself playing guitar when I was 16 but I failed :D But I am actually thinking of trying to learn an instrument again these days just because I find it very cool to make your own music and it’s just such a nice way to express yourself and tbh also because of Vic De Angelis and her bass :D

23) What Am I Wearing: I just took a bath and just put on some comfy clothes after so I am simply wearing sweat pants and one of my bf’s shirts I stole from him because I like oversized shirts :D

24) Dream Job: Being an actress. It simply is my passion. Right now I am studying social work though (which I like too) but I am trying to do some acting on the side because seriously when I am infront of a camera I just feel like that’s where I belong. I just did some filming in May and June and when I was on set I realized that I haven’t been that happy and didn’t feel that much like myself since years and even if it’s just a no budget movie for now it’s like one step closer to my dream. Also I could totally imagine working part time as a social worker but also doing acting jobs because it would certainly put some pressure off if I’d have a steady income and can just choose whatever projects I like without necessarily having to earn a living with it (not that I’d complain lol) :D

25) Favorite Food: Pasta & Potatoes in any form. :D Oh and Antipasti because I just love having many different dishes to choose from.

1. Harry Potter Universe (because we don’t like JKR in this house but we certainly love the Potterverse especially if we can make it so queer that JKR would faint lol)

2. Maybe “Die jungen Ärzte” (= ”The young doctors”) It’s a german medical drama series maybe you could compare it to Grey’s Anatomy just less dramatic and with more happy endings :D anyway I just love that series and the actors and the characters and I’d really like to live in that universe just so I could for once have such caring and nice doctors treating me who’d magically find a solution for my chronic illness just like they always do on TV :D

-Oof for writing book ideas it's in a notebook, when I write the requests and such it's always on tumblr, sometimes on draft and sometimes I just whip it out and post it there and then ajsjdbdb, don't really like writing on my computer bc i write faster in my phone (and it's easier to do it in my bed with the lights off lol)

-Hmmmm Monster High? And maybe also Dork Diaries, I have all of them until the 9th (idk if there's more ajshdb) also maybe Diary of a Wimpy kid, which I have till the 12th, one day my great great grandkids are going to be so happy I never threw them out lol

-OH OK! So rubies and also esmerald (that how you say it? The green ones lol), bc their colour is just so pretty and vibrant and I love it! So pretty (i don't really know any more crystals lol sorry for being so basic ajsjsjs)

-Se me hace una falta de respeto, which I use with my friends. It's basically means "this is so disrespectful/I feel so offended rn" which we always use joking hehe.

-Well my dad has been loosing like a loooot of weight these past few years and he just gives me the shirts he doesn't want to wear or just don't fit him anymore lol, I use them all as pj's and it's super fun and comforting! Also they're super big on me which is 100/10

-Ish, idk I am not like a super big fan of cheese....the only one I stand it's mozzarella lol

-if you kill yourself, people you don't know or like are going to act as if they were your friends and milk the situation, so stay alive out of pure spite

-Whenever it's Christmas my whole family gets together, we go to grandma's house, bake cookies, exchange gifts, make tamales and then my uncle and cousins do a small sketch, where they act or sing or dance etc etc. I used to be part of all of them until I became a teen, then I was too cool for that shit lolol but since there are still little kids in the family we keep doing it for them :D

Hypnovember 2019 Master List

Jesus. Jesus Christ, that’s a lot of writing. I don’t really consider myself a writer generally and this is definitely the first time I’ve written this much this quickly.
