I might be able to finish tonight so I'm doing The Summit. We're getting closer to The Episode.
I haven't rewatched this episode since it aired so this should be interesting knowing the ending of it.
I'm curious about Echo's contact specifically that apparently knows what Hemlock is doing but doesn't know where Hemlock's base is.
The thing is that I didn't realize at the time obviously but this whole thing is a complete side mission, it doesn't need to happen in order to move the plot. They don't manage to complete the mission, so it didn't need to happen to find Mt Tantiss, it literally is a two episode side trip dedicated entirely to dropping Tech off a tram car and injuring Omega, so the whole 'there had to be consequences!' simply doesn't hold up to me.
Also I just don't think we're going to validate Hunter's opinion that they simply shouldn't go
Love how aggressively NOTHING gets resolved by this moment with Phee and Tech. If they had spoken to each other about their feelings and decided that they felt something and wanted to explore it when he gets back that is evidence that he would be doomed immediately.
"Don't run off with any pirates or smugglers while you're gone" come on this feels like the most heavy handed foreshadowing ever. But the way that they had a full bit to... NOT resolve the narrative line they started with him is insane to me.
Also still remembering how much people lost it over this extremely tame scene because no one can just be normal about Phee.
"Just like old times" Wrecker it's been probably a couple months not 5 years
Every part of Eriadu that we actually see the ground of is covered in trees, so it's probably similar wherever Tech landed - notable mostly because we saw that Hunter slowed down significantly when he fell due to the tree cover.
Tumblr media
This is I think our only glimpse through the clouds and most of what's directly underneath them is obscured by... more clouds. Looks rockier down there but they could have some further trees down there.
"We must be precise" *EVERYONE LOOKS AT WRECKER* I love when some of the most devastating plots have the funniest moments.
Love to see them infiltrate when they know there are no clone troopers because suddenly they begin to MURDER INTENTLY.
GOD I HATE HEMLOCK. HATE. THE WAY HE TALKS ABOUT CLONES.
I admit it is a little harder to watch this episode knowing all they accomplish is tossing Tech off a tram car.
LOVE ECHO'S IDEA OF A DIVERSION and also Wrecker stomping that poor mouse droid
Saw time!
One thing I find interesting is in Aftermath the only two that Saw talks with directly are Hunter and Tech, and here Saw only encounters the two of them. I really am growing more and more attached to the idea that Saw somehow found and got a hold of Tech, leading to Hemlock only finding the glasses. Saw challenges their viewpoints, but Tech could challenge him back I think.
Interesting that Saw's view is 'sacrifices are necessary for the greater good' too given what Tech does shortly after. Literally I want to see Saw and Tech throw things back and forth without the imminent risk of death or capture.
Human shield is fine but again, can't show Tech's body, because kids, sure.
We do see Saw blow the place from the shuttle but I don't think we see where the shuttle goes from there, not in this episode at least.
It's getting late so I guess I'm actually doing Plan 99 right after work tomorrow, which is probably a good thing I do need to sleep tonight.

may i request a s/o who's really smart but weak when it comes to physical activities(like senku ishigami from dr.stone tho),with sara, beidou, and 2 other characters of ur choice.take care, thank u and dont overwork urself!!<3
Her with a Smart but Weak S/O
Characters: Sara, Beidou, Yelan, Shinobu x gn!reader
Warnings: none
A/n: I’m gonna be completely honest and say I have yet to watch Dr. Stone, I searched up his wiki page and scanned over his personality section so I hope that’s enough to grasp a smart but weak reader <3
Tumblr media
• Sara was both a cunning strategist and physically talented. She was both brains and brawn, someone who you revered and highly respected. The only thing that blinded her was her loyalty towards the Shogun. The path that she dearly sought was clouded by her own mental barriers.
• However strong or smart she was, Sara deeply admired you. Your barrier was something that was visible and easily overcome. No matter how often you guided her she simply could not grasp why she was so inept at being a normal average person without duty.
• She envied your ability to think outside of the box. Sometimes when she was in a pinch you’d save her with your abstract solutions, a strategy that she wouldn’t have even dreamed of. Even if you couldn’t accomplish it yourself, your greatest strength was all you needed to overcome your greatest weakness.
Sara crunched the seventh disposable paper in her hand that night, her hand rubbing her forehead in frustration. No matter how many strategy books she reviewed, how many formulas she created, or past performances she retraced, she could not figure out how to overcome this band of Nobushi.
It was like a slow burn to hear her groan in the middle of the night, trying to sleep but your brain in a million different places at once. You felt as if Sara’s anxious state was like a template for yourself, peaking at her sitting at the wooden desk with nothing but a small candle lighting the dark space.
You had decided enough was enough, creeping up behind Sara to see for yourself what was so difficult. Analyzing the Nobushi camp, looking at areas to infiltrate it. Before she could write whatever she was about to on her eighth try, you lowered your hand upon hers taking control of her feathered pen but not letting her leave your grip. Surrounding her crouched body with your own you drew a diagram of exactly how to approach the situation with the least amount of casualties.
It didn’t take Sara long to follow your plan, the genius of the Tenryou Commission’s General not far behind your own. However, being a general was the exact thing that was holding her back, not knowing how to think beyond her own knowledge and training. “This is brilliant,” she muttered, her lips barely parted as she looked at the simple solution.
“I cannot partake in such a plan, but I’m sure someone as strong as a Tengu will be able to take the lead,” you reassured her.
She clenched her fists together in determination and in partial relief that she would finally be able to retire for the night. “I am grateful to have someone as intelligent as you alongside me. I am regretful to say I couldn’t have even imagined this as a plan of attack,” She looked down, not meeting your eyes once as if she was ashamed. “I will gladly honor this plan, it is a pity you cannot be beside me while I do so, however.”
Tumblr media
 • Beidou was admittedly stronger than she was smarter, but that didn’t mean she was stupid. After all, who else could lead a whole band of pirates in an organized fashion? Who else could bypass the great Tianquan? Who else could spread their name far and wide to strike fear in the hearts of all Treasure Hoarders?
• When it came to anything else other than battle and war, Beidou was somewhat dense unless she’s encountered it before. Math Equations, Civil ministry, law? She looked to you for that. After all, connections were a resource, she would be stupid not to rely on you every once and a while.
• She envied your book smarts. She never listened when the adults said, ‘listen to this in school, because you’ll use this in your adulthood’, therefore she somewhat lacked in logistics. But who knew you’d need to know geometry and physics to aim a cannon whenever you needed perfect accuracy.
Beidou scratched her head at the bill that was given to her the moment she anchored at Liyue Harbor. Not understanding the many numbers and terms used in the document, all she knew was that she had done something illegal and had to pay a great sum of money. Rolling her eyes as she was looking forward to relaxing and stuffing her mouth with something other than saltwater fish for the first time in two weeks.
What did she do when she didn’t understand something though? She called upon her partner in crime. “Bring me the brains of the crew will ya?” Beidou told a crewmate, knowing exactly who she was talking about even without her calling your official title or name.
It didn’t take them long to drag you against your will to the same dock, no matter how smart you were, you couldn’t stand your ground against even an average crewmate. Beidou turned to face you with a goofy smile, her movements very animated, her affection for you not very well hidden. She wasted no time shoving the scroll in your face, you already knew what was coming.
“Beidou sometimes you can be insufferable,” you sighed. Despite your teasing comments, she knew you adored her, your attitude was the least of her worries. You skimmed over the contents of the document, calculating all her tolls and legal terms that her muscle of a brain couldn’t comprehend.
“You can solve it though right? I mean- you solve everything don’t you sport?” She put you in an annoying headlock, her arm wrestling with your neck so you didn’t try and escape. You were about to speak against her, your mouth only opening a smudge before she immediately cut you off. “Listen, don’t tell me all the boring details, I just wanna know the damages and if I can squeeze outta it you know?”
Tumblr media
• Yelan was smarter than stronger, to be able to manipulate her targets and mask her true identity from even her closest confidants. Everyone could trust Yelan, but Yelan could trust nobody, only using her resources to serve as an intelligence the Tianquan.
• When it came to Yelan’s allies she always believed in ‘you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours,’. However, for you, it was more like ‘keep your friends close, your enemies closer,’. Your smarts were enough to be considered a threat if you ever accidentally found something out of your bounds.
• She was rather sly, if you found out about her real line of work you’d be immediately thrown in jail. But for her, you were a treasure trove of intelligence. She would consider losing you as a great loss, something that she would struggle to recover from for years.
Yelan stood leaning over the wooden fence that oversaw Liyue Harbor from Yujing Terrace. The moon hanging overhead as she waited for your arrival, you were late much to her dismay. She always looked forward to her meetings with you, the hair on her skin tingling with excitement as she thought of all the little intel she could dig from you.
Her thoughts were interrupted by your arrival. “Ah my dearest,” her hand wrapped on your chest into a warm embrace. “I apologize for not being awake this morning to greet you, you know- it’s just simply too early for me,” she always knew how to butter you up. Your toes squeezed at her unusual affection. She knew how to bend her words and exactly how to touch you to get your attention. You felt weak in the knees, even weaker than you normally were.
You hung yourself over the railing, looking at only her, despite the beautiful night view. She scooted closer to you with a smug look, covering your ear with her hand when she whispered to you. “Did you hear?” she asked trying to strike up a conversation. You stared at her emerald eyes, her face so close you could see her vibrant purple makeup.
She took your silence as a no, grabbing your shoulder to get impossibly closer. “I heard from the great vine, the Qixing may be planning something special for you,” she relayed, such harmless information. Something that might’ve even been fabricated in order to get what she wanted from you. “Would you like to find out?”
You took a minute to think, a bead of sweat dripping from your forehead in peril. Gently nodding in case you might regret saying yes. “You first, you remember our deal no?” She asked you, her head cocked at an angle with a smile that meant death to you. “In order to get information from me- you must give me something equal in return.”
Tumblr media
• Shinobu was admittedly smarter than stronger, but not by much. How else would the Arataki gang stay afloat? Without Shinobu’s quick wits and physical competence then the entire gang would probably be locked up and abolished by the Tenryou Commission.
• Shinobu looked up to your quick wits and plans. Sometimes even she came to a mental barrier on how to get her friends out of trouble, but you never failed. Even if you yourself couldn’t help her physically, your wits was enough to impress her.
• She admired how capable your sheer intelligence was. It was a good change of scenery after being surrounded by grown men who steal candy from kids on a daily. You seemed civil and put together, someone who she didn’t have to worry about for once.
If Shinobu didn’t wear her mask 24/7, you would be able to see just how deep the scowl on her face was. Yet again the Arataki Gang had been reprimanded by the Tenryou Commission. Usually, she just had to convince them to apologize to General Kujou and they’d be granted freedom at her mercy. But this time they’d truly done it, a stray member who had escaped confinement relaying the situation to her.
You didn’t need to be told twice about the whole ordeal, already knowing Itto had probably done something horrible to serve such a big sentence. Shinobu stood still trying to think of all the possibilities and best course of action. Even though Shinobu has extensive knowledge of almost everything, it seemed the whole shock of the incident shook her to the core.
You normally didn’t want to backseat Shinobu’s concerns, she was plenty capable. But this wasn’t a manner of undermining her competence, it was to be her supporting crutch when she needed it most. You placed a warm hand on her shoulder. “Would you like me to try and talk to the Tenryou Commission?” you tried to convince her.
She felt cold blood run through her veins when your words processed through her mind. when she realized she wasn’t alone she felt a sense of relief. Since she couldn’t trust the gang to do most difficult tasks, she had forgotten what it was like to rely on others. Regardless, she was always one to reject the help of others when she knew she could do it herself. “No need,” she took your hand from her shoulder.
Even though she was stubborn, your mental support was all she needed. “I know when it comes to physical labor you’re not the best,” she tried to say in the nicest way possible. “But your support is more than enough, if there comes a time when I need you I’ll call upon you.”

                           𝖑𝖔𝖚𝖎𝖘 𝖒𝖈𝖈𝖗𝖆𝖛𝖊𝖓
he appears as though he was born forty-four years ago but is actually two hundred and ten, he is a siren who lives in dillon as the owner of the deep dive restaurant, and is in no pod. he looks an awful lot like lee pace.
“I kiss away the salt spray; skip stones across the water's edge and count the waves before each one sinks into the ocean below. In daylight it looks like the sea and sky are painted in watercolor aquamarine, shell-swirled brushstrokes and washes of cerulean; at night Poseidon makes the whole world fade to indigo.”
tw: death, child death, murder, drowning, cannibalism
His birth hadn't been planned in the slightest, but his mother raised him with great care and surprising diligence. Most of his childhood was under heavy supervision since he wasn't like his mother. Not completely at least. One could never be too careful in this world, after all.
It was greed that had cost his mother her life. Have one’s hands in too many pots and such a fate was bound to happen. The most he remembered of that encounter was a single late night visit. It wasn't his mother that had darkened the doorway, but rather a strange person who demanded the return of the stolen item. And who was Louis to deny such a reasonable request? He gave the oddity his rightful possession and was left alone.
The increase of freedom wet his appetite for excitement after that. Most of which came from in the form of violence. As the decades passed, he worked his way into a well renowned crime syndicate. It was there that he grew the connections to a found family. It was also there that he fell into temporary infatuation. And said infatuation was the sole reason why he was given a son. Unlike his own mother, Louis adored and doted on his child as much as he could.
It was by a strike of misfortune that robbed him of that joy when his wrongdoings caught up with him. His girlfriend and son got caught in the crossfire of a home invasion. Louis made it out alive but at the cost of overwhelming grief. Devastated, he set out to sea with the determination to never return again. And to a certain extent, he did.
Bitter tears stained his cheeks as he swam out - farther and deeper than he had ever been before. It was there that he met the strange creature for a second time. A siren of all things, yet he couldn’t bring himself to care. Rather, a deal was struck right then and there. Louis’ mortal life for the vengeance of the ones he had lost. Bare took him long to decide, but the deal was struck in the end. Louis breathed his last under the murky depths of the cold ocean, and was born anew the next day.
Though his revenge was obtained, the gnawing urge for such watery deaths left a permanent stain. For a time, Louis would dwell among the people that had adept sea legs and a knack for navigating unrelenting waves. Pirates, nondescript sailors, and the like — all would be joined under his cleverly formed disguise. He would mingle among them for weeks, even months, as he altered the course of the ship. It took a lot of time, practice and patience for him to do so, but it wasn't an impossible task when he was able to influence people through finely spun words and dulcet charm.
He'd always lead them to areas plagued with strong storms to render the ship useless in the merciless currents. It’d always send the crew into a panic whenever the ship capsized or crashed into natural structures. Then Louis would call upon a cluster of similar appetites to feast. A few of the crew's souls would be plucked and eaten en route, but Louis was always sure to save enough for other sirens around.
Half a century was spent in such a manner; living grand and large with a full belly and endless treasures. Yet the thrill of it all grew less and less with time. Louis stopped living among his targets as frequently, and chose to bide his time until a crew caught his interest. And when said crew docked on the nearby sandy shore.. well, he repeated the process once again. Except the chain of events that followed broke past the norm. See, the crew he had integrated with weren't mundane sailors. They were skilled hunters under the guise of normies, and they played him like a fool to a fiddle.
Louis had managed to cut their numbers by one before someone caught on. Said someone just so happened to be his next target. He might have gotten away with the consumption of the other's soul if it hadn't been for the enchanted dagger that ended up in the siren's gut. Surprised, but not foolish enough to be blinded by hunger, Louis went overboard with the promise to visit that particular hunter in the future. In the meantime, he opened up his own restaurant; one that welcomes any and all who have an appetite for seafood.
“what power did he attain when settling in opulence?”
Strange as it was, there's a certain vertigo effect Louis can push onto another. Be it from voice or eye contact, the sense of nausea and loss of balance can blossom. Couple this with the use of his sirens song and the impact can be quite lethal.

Family Reunion
Tumblr media
Pairing: Hector Barbossa x oc!reader
Warnings: None
Requested by: @lady-mandalorian-fett
The Request:
When Barbossa saw the Spanish captain he realized and recognized it was their son who didn’t became a pirate his name is (Esteban which means Victories or victorious) Mother Raven.
***
It all seemed to be almost nothing more then a strange dream in Raven’s eyes as she listened to Barbossa informing her of who he had just laid eyes upon.
“Who?” She asks, eyebrows raised in curiosity but with a hint of anxiety.
It was almost as if she already knew, but it still hit her hard as she hardly dared to believe it herself. The news Barbossa was now just informing her of could only be described as a punch in the gut. The news literally took her breath away just as it did so to him as well, not long after what his eyes just saw.
“The spanish captain, believe it or not, is our son, Esteban.”
“Are you for certain? Is it really Esteban?”
“I wouldn’t be telling you this if it were that way, Raven. You know that.”
Raven paused as her mouth opened to say something, but something stopped her from doing so.
This couldn’t be real, that couldn’t be Esteban. After the short pause, Raven let out what seemed to be the most daring question of all time.
“When can we see him again?”
“Well, now isn’t the right time. The time will come.”
“How do you know?”
“The right time will come, it will come to your mind when it does. You will know just as well as me.”
Raven nodded before going on to finish the rest of the chores.
Meanwhile, Barbossa couldn’t shake the picture out of his head and was drawing him to the point of insanity. He knew Esteban was lost at this point, becoming a pirate in his name. He wasn’t completely honest with Raven when after she asked when they could see him, he told her everything but the part where how lost Esteban seemed. Barbossa was willing to do anything if it meant it would keep his family safe, even if it had come to the point where his own life was on the line. Whatever it took to keep them safe was the motivation for him to do whatever that very thing may be. As the years go by, not a day had gone by without the any thoughts on Esteban, the usual concerned parenting thoughts. There was no question that Raven was anxious, too. Anyone would have been able to easily read it on her face, as it seemed that was what all her face seemed to say to those who cared about her.
Raven’s birthday was coming up and just like the past couple of years before, she didn’t even smile at the thought of the occasional party that was yet to be thrown. What she doesn’t know was that Barbossa was planning a special surprise for her, and we all can guess what that surprise is. Barbossa did what any father would do for their children; he secretly followed behind and watched over without any chance encounters. That was until, he decided it was time for one and he made sure to make that happen. The reunion between father and son was just as intense as anyone could possibly imagine it to be. Esteban had gone on this whole time thinking he had been abandoned by his own family at a young age when that wasn’t the case at all. What happened was, during an errand, the family docked the boat and went on to complete and it turned out to be a disaster. During the errand, Raven and Barbossa had somehow been separated by young Esteban and while they were searching for him, he was taken by other pirates.
When the realization had come upon them, they were heartbroken like any set of parents would be. But the important thing was, they never forgot about Esteban, more importantly, they never stopped searching with high hopes in finding him one day.
Then that day had come.
Barbossa had seen him first, and Raven was just about to finally get to see him for the first time since he was stolen away from them. The celebration of the birthday was just starting, and Raven was found sitting down at a table just by herself, her small fist propped under her chin watching as all the guests arriving. When Barbossa approached her, she didn’t notice him until he spoke up.
“There’s a special guest here waiting to see you, my love.”
“Who might that be?”
“Come, and see.”
Barbossa motioned Raven to follow him and she does, not having any idea on who would be there wanting to see her.
When she came around a corner, she stopped in her tracks as she saw him. It didn’t even take a split second to know who it was standing before her, Raven knew right away that it was Esteban and wasted no time in rushing over, wrapping him in a loving mother’s hug she had been waiting to give all these years. Now her greatest wish and dreams had come true, a mother was at last hugging her long lost son. Once she pulled away, she stepped back and got a better look at him, he was just everything she’d hoped he’d be. He still seemed slightly lost, but not like he was before now that he was with his family. This is what you would call a one big happy family, a family that was once torn apart and now had been put back together like a puzzle. Barbossa stepped beside her, wrapping a loving arm around Raven’s shoulders before wishing her a happy birthday, causing her to feel a bit shy.
“Happy birthday, Raven.”
No one said anything, absolutely no words were exchanged. Only actions were used, actions as in small smiles exchanged by the now, family circle.
It seemed to dawn on everyone that all the search efforts laid off, as they now felt absolutely complete. During the reunion, Esteban informed his mother and father that despite how lost he had become, he had never stopped searching for them with high hopes of finding them one day just as they did. This turned out to be the best birthday ever given to Raven, the family was back together at long last.
It was one heck of a family reunion, yet a very happy one.

What I Watched This Week – 3/10 – 3/23
Tumblr media
Outlaw Star – It’s hard to believe, but this space adventure series is over twenty-five years old somehow, and I figured I should watch it while it’s still streaming. It follows a brash and cocky young man with an assortment of scars and bright red hair who runs an odd-jobs outfit with a level-headed and precocious eleven-year-old boy on a frontier planet. A series of coincidences gets them tangled up in the affairs of an outlaw attempting to outmaneuver a band of pirates, and sets them on an action-packed journey across the galaxy. I have to admit that I never really took to the main character, and just found his cocky recklessness vaguely annoying as he spouted one-liners while fighting every fight the same way every time. The rest of the cast was a touch more palatable, with his young business partner Jim and the wooden-sword-wielding assassin Shizuka being my favorites. It was a fun enough romp through space, but it was definitely dated, with more homophobic humor than I care for. 7/10
Tumblr media
Yatterman Night – This is a spin-off of a series from the 70s, and it takes the villainous henchmen trio from that series and makes them the protagonists of a story where Yatterman is the villain. The story opens with nine-year-old Leopard discovering that she and her mother’s friends Voltkatze and Elephantus are the decedents of Doronjo, Boyacky, and Tonzura from the original story, and they become so angry at the Yatterman empire for not helping them when her mother was sick that they decide to journey to the capital to give him a forehead flick. I have never seen the original series, and those who have I am sure could pick up on lots of Easter eggs throughout the series, but everything stood alone just fine for me. I had a lot of fun watching Leopard take on the persona of Doronjo, complete with costume and villainous laugh, and Voltkatze’s quickly engineered contraptions and Elephantus’s incredible fighting strength made for exciting fights against the Yatterman forces. The animation was surprisingly good at times, giving the action a ton of life. A fun adventure with a colorful cast. 7/10
Tumblr media
You Don’t Know Gunma Yet – I threw on this series of 3-minute shorts to kill some time one night, and there isn’t a whole lot to say about them. They center on a high school kid who has just moved to Gunma prefecture and learns various facts about the region that had been exaggerated for comedic effect. It all had the vibe of poking fun at where the rednecks live or something, and I don’t know enough about Japan to get most of the jokes or know whether they were punching down. 6/10
Tumblr media
Slayers Next – I liked, but didn’t love the first season of this series, but I ended up really getting into this sequel season. Lina, Gourry, and the crew open their latest adventure by spoiling the world domination plans of the princess of a neighboring country before embarking on a quest to find a magical tome that Zelgadis hopes will have a clue for turning human again. I thought chasing after a mystical book was a fun and classic hook for an adventure, and I thought the new characters they encountered, the new villains, and the new threats to the characters were just all around more compelling than in the previous season. I can tell that if I had watched this in the 90s when I was a teenager I would have been up to my eyeballs in Lina and Gourry fan fiction. What a fun show. 7/10

the best advice i can possibly give to someone who wants to get into DMing/GMing a ttrpg but is scared of having to make stuff up on the spot: Just Don’t. Don’t come up with stuff. Make your players do it for you.
this coming from someone who asked their players to name the pirates who had just rescued them from an air elemental and now has Patricia Blueliketheocean Traven, Gallathan Morphineighbor, Clark Duneforest, Sunday Monday, and Steelback (and also the hot genderless elf Gaeladriel Balius (Gae for short))
by asking them the race of the barkeep in a tavern we ended up getting the inspirational story of a centaur who loves his job despite barely being able to move around behind the bar but he’s Trying His Best, and also his coworker, a halfling on stilts.

Kid x Reader | Forbidden
Tumblr media
tw: nothing too explicit, but sex is implied; cussing
When your older brother, Killer, made you join his pirate crew in order to protect you, the idea seemed awful at first. You didn’t want to leave your island, and that lifestyle wasn’t what you used to plan for your life, but ended up having no choice.
At first, you hated it. The guys seemed like pervs and the captain? Oh god, you hated him. He was rude and yelled at everyone for no reason. He was annoying. You two yelled at each other sometimes, and Killer had to interfere.
And this didn’t start just now. In fact, ever since you were children, you two used to fight a lot, even though Kid was a few years older than you.
You don’t know when your feelings went from hate to passion, but you remember how you dealt with it for the first time.
The crew was asleep, but you were hungry sneaking into the kitchen to find something for a midnight snack. And there he was.
The red head started to complain about you as soon as he saw you, for no reason, as always. And as usual, you started insulting him back.
ꟷ I hate you! You’re annoying, rude, egocentric. You think you can yell and tell me what to do just because you’re big and… Strong… ꟷ he got near you slowly, smirking because of your words.
You knew he was very tall, but at that moment, you felt even smaller compared to him. However, he didn’t seem threatening this time. In fact, by his sarcastic grin, you could tell it was quite the opposite right now. He seemed amused.
ꟷ Well, and you’re such a brat. ꟷ his tone was lower and lower, bending over to face you. ꟷ An annoying and small, brat. ꟷ he paused, and whispered. ꟷ But you know, I kinda like it.
By now, his face was mere inches from yours.
You could feel his breath.
His smell, which was a mix of the smell of beer and sea.
Despite the chilly weather, that room felt hotter than ever.
The tension between you was growing, but no one made a move for what seemed like an eternity, until he wrapped his flesh arm around your waist, pulling you closer for a kiss. For the first time you didn’t want to punch his face.
After that night, you two started having your encounters, in secret from the whole crew, and especially Killer. If he found out, you had no idea of how he would react. But you knew it wouldn’t be good. The reason why you were there was so your brother you keep you safe.
Being with Kid was exactly the opposite of that. But the fear of getting caught and the thought of doing something wrong it was too exciting.
A couple of months later, you two still didn’t call whatever you had a “relationship”, but Kid wasn’t even flirting with other girls, and you wasn’t even thinking about other guys; and every night you were sneaking when everyone was asleep to see each other.
Sometimes it wasn’t even for sex, but just to talk and watch the stars. Or even to sit on Kid’s lap while he was working on something at his workshop.
The crew noticed he was in a better mood, not so grumpy, yelling less and treating you better than he used to. Seemed like he didn’t like other guys staring at you or talking about you. He became protective over someone he didn’t like just a few months ago.
No one dared to share their theories aloud, but they knew something was going on.
The Victoria Punk arrived at some island, and the whole crew went to a bar, while you stayed to guard the ship.
You were having a drink at the deck watching the stars and feeling the breeze, when you felt someone hold you from behind. A pair of arms you knew too well by now.
ꟷ You know, the guys might get suspicious. ꟷ you whispered, resting your head on Kid’s chest. ꟷ You never leave the bar so early or sober.
ꟷ Nah, don’t worry. I suggested a drinking contest, so they should be busy for a while, and will end up too drunk to care. ꟷ he brushed your hair so he could have better access to your neck, giving it many pecks, sending your shivers. ꟷ Killer is taking care of them, and I snuck out with some excuse.
ꟷ Are you sure? ꟷ you turned around to face your lover.
ꟷ I’m sure, don’t worry. ꟷ he took your glass from your hand, making you frown for a while. ꟷ So we have some time alone. What do you wanna do?
ꟷ We didn’t spend much time together the last couple of days, uh? ꟷ you whispered, pulling him by his hand, making your way to his cabin. ꟷ So there’s a lot of things I want to do to you, captain…
ꟷ Oh, babe, don’t call me that, you know the things it does to me…
ꟷ I know, and I like it.
As soon as the door closed behind you, Kid started kissing you passionately, desperately. He craved your touches, your lips all over his skin. And although the red head loves being the one in charge, he loves seeing your taking control sometimes, seeing the desire in your eyes.
You made him sit on the bed, while you straddled on his lap, removing your shirt as quick as possible.
ꟷ Why so eager, uh? ꟷ he asked, touching your sides and giving your neck sloppy kisses. ꟷ We have time.
ꟷ But maybe we don’t. ꟷ you said between moans when he kissed your weak spots. ꟷ And I need you so bad.
He couldn’t help chuckle seeing how you needy you were right now.
But before he could do anything else, you heard footsteps.
ꟷ Oh no. ꟷ you said, freezing. ꟷ Is it him? ꟷ you whispered.
ꟷ I don’t know, I'll check. Get dressed, hurry. ꟷ he replied using the same tone, trying to find your shirt, nowhere to be seem.
Gladly, you were still wearing a bra, but he still got his jacket to cover you.
ꟷ Hide. ꟷ he said, placing you sitting on the bed, while he got up to check who was interrupting the moment.
Before you could think, you heard a voice, a very familiar voice, calling the captain.
Oh no.
ꟷ Kid? Where are you? Have you seen (Y/N)? She was supposed to be guarding the ship, but I can’t find her. ꟷ your brother said, opening the door at once, just to see Kid shirtless, and you covered by his jacket, that looked huge on you. ꟷ What the fuck is going on here?
ꟷ We can explain. ꟷ Kid said, walking towards Killer, throwing his hands up in defeat.
ꟷ Are you… ꟷ he couldn’t even say the whole sentence.ꟷ With my sister? Even when I told the whole crew to stay the fuck away from her?
This was one moment when you were glad he wore his mask so you wouldn’t see the disappointment on his face. It’d hurt too much.
ꟷ And you? ꟷ he pointed at you, who was hiding with some covers at that point. ꟷ Seriously? Kid? And you didn’t even tell me? I thought we were honest with each other.
ꟷ Killer, I… ꟷ you got up, slowly walking on his direction. ꟷ I’m sorry, I was afraid to tell you, because I knew that’s how you’d react.
ꟷ If you had told me before, I would never react like that. I’d be pissed, but not like I am right now. ꟷ he turned to look at his friend again. ꟷ Are you just using my sister?
ꟷ I’m not using her! I like her! ꟷ Kid pulled you closer to him. ꟷ I really do.
Your brother left without saying anything else, locking himself in his cabin. He was pissed, he didn’t know what to think or what to do about it.
ꟷ He’ll get over it. ꟷ you whispered, squeezing Kid’s hand. ꟷ I hope he does.
For the next three days, Killer didn’t look at you nor talk to you or your lover. You started to worry.
But one morning, you were with Kid at his workshop, sitting on his lap trying to feel comfort, despite the fact you were still sad for not talking to your brother. The door opened and you saw Killer.
ꟷ If you ever hurt my sister, I don’t care if you’re my friend or my captain, I’ll feed you to the sea kings. ꟷ was all he said.
ꟷ So… Are you okay with him and me? ꟷ you got up, smiling. You felt reassured.
ꟷ I’m not completely okay with this. I’m still pissed because you hid it from me. But I hope I can trust Kid.
ꟷ That means we’re more than best friends now! ꟷ the captain said, his voice sounded quite excited. ꟷ We’ll be brothers in law!
ꟷ Kid, if you ever call me that, I swear I’ll throw you into the ocean.

Princess Part Two
Tumblr media
Part Two of the Kid x princess reader and well...I might’ve gotten carried away a little but oh well. Thanks to @pure-kirarin for requesting this!  Btw, this plays either pre time skip or during the time skip since Kid still has both arms lol.
Part One is here!
Warning: 18+, smut, dirty talk, virgin reader
Word count: 4.4k
She was laying in her bed, her face still wet from crying the whole way back. Her clothes were dirty; she had slipped multiple times on and some scratches were visible on her arms and legs. She needed to cover them so no one would see them. Otherwise, they’d ask uncomfortable questions and she simply had no answer as to why she looked like this.
The sheets of her bed felt comforting and soothing but she couldn’t quite fall asleep; too many thoughts were running through her head and every single one revolved around Eustass Kid. To say her image of him and pirates in general had been shuttered was an understatement. Was he right? Had she been too influenced by all the stories she’s read? In them, pirates were criminals but in a charming way; they’d drink and have fun and play around with women but they never gave off that aura of danger. And still: some part in her wanted to know more about pirates, know more about their life, their ambitions, and motivation.
Kid said something about becoming the king of pirates; wasn’t this just a myth? Finding the One Piece? Gol D. Roger’s call to find it? She wasn’t sure but he seemed serious. And this part of him was the one that intrigued her the most. She closed her eyes and slowly but surely drifted off into a restless sleep, haunted by a certain bloodthirsty pirate captain.
It had been two nights since she encountered the Kid pirates and ever since she felt down and less ambitious. The prince, his father, and their entourage left yesterday. Finally, she had time for herself but it did her no good; her thoughts were still running wild, always returning to Eustass Kid. She even had a somewhat wet dream about him where she woke up breathing heavily and completely unsatisfied. She’s never been intimate before and her urge to be was rather non-existent – until now. Only the thought of him doing anything remotely sexual to her had little butterflies flying in her belly, making it incredibly difficult to focus.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of weapons clashing on weapons, loud yells calling to gather in front of the entrance and protect the king and the princess. She hurried to the big window and saw with horror how one guard after another got killed, their screams echoing through the night sky. She clasped her hands over her mouth but couldn’t move her eyes away from the horrid scene. The ones killing her people were none other than the Kid pirates. She saw weapons flying through the air and gathering around one person – Eustass Kid. All the weapons manifested into one huge weapon-arm he used to kill more of the guards.
She heard footsteps in front of her door and turned around, expecting pirates to storm in at any moment. But instead, two guards were rushing in, weapons ready to protect or fight. “Princess-sama! You need to get out of here! It’s too dangerous!” one yelled while the other one grabbed her arm and pulled her with him. “W-wait! What’s going on?” she demanded to know but followed the two guards down the stairs. “Pirates. They invaded the palace. Probably looking for treasure but we’re not sure. As long as they’re here you’re not safe, princess-sama.”
The stairs led down until they reached the dungeons where a safe-room was located. But they didn’t make it until there because in a flash the guard’s weapons were taken from them by what seemed like magic but when she turned around Captain Kid was standing there, a huge and sadistic grin in his face.
The guards positioned themselves in front of the princess but without any weapons they were defenseless. “Princess-sama! Please, keep going until you reach the safe-room! We will handle him!” the guard told him. The princess didn’t think twice before she turned around and ran through the long corridor. She didn’t make it far though because suddenly, she felt a hand grab her hair and yanking her back painfully.
“Just the princess I was looking for.” She heard a voice right next to her ear. “Let go” she screamed and tried to get free but his grip was like iron. “Stop struggling and be quiet. I only want your treasure, that’s all. If you’re a good little princess I’ll let you live.” He purred. “Y-you killed the guards! Why should I trust you?” tears were running down her face. This was definitely not how she had imagined their next meeting!
“Indeed, I have. But maybe I’ll make an exception for you? Can’t kill a princess now, can I?” it sounded sarcastic and she new he had no qualms killing her as well. “Now, tell me. Where do you hide your treasure? The sooner you tell me the sooner we’re on our marry way.” “How do I know you’re not lying?” “You just have to believe me.” He sounded amused at her question. “And by the way. Didn’t you say you wanted to join us? As a pirate you should be okay with robbing and killing people. That’s just part of a pirate’s life.” She pressed her lips together and felt stupid once again. Deep down, she had known this but she just didn’t want to accept it.
“So, tell me. Where is the treasure?” he repeated the question. “I-in the south tower, top floor, behind a huge door. Can’t miss it.” She pressed out and expected him to let her go. But Kid had other plans. “That wasn’t too difficult, was it? Let’s go.” And with a push she stumbled forward. He let go of her hair so technically she could run away but she knew he’d catch her. “Lead the way, princess.” He said while he followed her, his eyes running down her body while they were walking, appreciating the silky nightgown she was wearing which was running down her body like water.
The princess noticed but kept quiet about it. “W-where is my father?” she instead wanted to know. Kid shrugged, the grin still on his face. “Who knows.” He simply answered and she knew he wouldn’t tell her. Maybe he was already dead?
When they got to the entrance hall she heard yelling coming from all over the place but she couldn’t see her father. Kid pushed her forward with his hand, making her almost fall to the floor. “Keep moving, princess.” It sounded like an insult when he called her that but she wouldn’t complain. She heard him call some of his men who followed them up the stairs until they all reached the huge door guarding the treasure. The two guards were quickly disposed of and the princess couldn’t hold back a squeal.
Kid laughed at her reaction while the others opened the huge door, revealing lots and lots of gold, silver, jewels and precious gems. “That’s what I call a jackpot. Pack it up!” Kid ordered and shoved the princess with him to the side to not be in the way of his crew. Silently, they stood next to each other, Kid had his arms crossed in front of his chest, she looked down, fidgeting with her fingers. “Did we wake you?” Kid suddenly asked, his eyes still appreciating the treasure in the room. She stayed silent, not wanting to answer.
He turned his head towards her, his eyes wandering up and down once again. “You got a lot of those nightgowns, don’t you? You were wearing one two nights ago as well, weren’t you?” a blush creeped on her cheeks and she pulled her arms over her body to hide it from his few. “Don’t be shy! It looks good on you!” The red intensified even more and he could swear her head was about to pop like a tomato. “Show me your room.” He demanded. Shocked, she looked at him, eyes wide and mouth open. There it was again – the excited feeling in her stomach. Even though he had just killed more than a dozen if her men she still felt intrigued by him; his whole aura had her body drawn to him.
“C’mon. A little princess like you must have a huge room, right? Let me see it.” He insisted. There was no rational reason why she did it but she obliged. As if her body was out of rubber, she walked along corridors with doors to every side, legs daring to give in with every step. Kid walked behind her, she could feel his eyes on her body.
She stopped in front of the door, hesitant to turn the nob to open it. But Kid took over this part. His big hands grabbed the nob, turned it and opened the door. He pushed her inside and followed her right after. She heard him whistle but didn’t turn to look at him. Two clicks indicated he had closed and locked the door behind him. Now it was only the two of them, alone in her room, her only in her nightgown and underneath it only her panties.
“That’s a nice ass room. Being a princess has its perks, hasn’t it?” he passed her and took a look around her room. His eyes wandered over pictures showing her with her father, some friends and one with her mother when she was young. She expected him to ask about her but he didn’t. He simply didn’t care.
When he was done he walked towards her bed, sitting down in the mattress. His legs spread and his arms crossed in front of his chest. His grin was ever so present on his face and had her look away. “Why did you want to join us?” he asked out of nowhere. “I…I don’t know.” She answered truthfully, still not looking at him. “Bullshit! Did you think I didn’t notice your reaction? When I had my thumb buried in your mouth?” His grin grew even wider. “Did you hope for something more…filling?” he laughed at her shocked expression when she turned to look at him.
“Now is your chance, princess. I can almost smell your pussy from here and believe me she wants me.” He said cockily, way too full of himself. But he was right. Ever since he asked her to see her room she had thought about all the things they could do in there – and none of her thoughts were G-rated. “C’mere.” He demanded.
Slowly, she put one foot in front of the other and made her way over to where he was sitting. She stopped in front of him, her sight set on the floor. Even though she was standing was he almost as tall as her when he was sitting. “Have you ever knelt down in front of anyone else?” he asked. She shook her head no and received a dark chuckle. “Then it’s time you learn how to do it. Get on your knees, princess.” His tone was demanding and left no room for arguing.
With trembling limps, she got down, took her place between his legs. Pleased, he hummed. “That’s a nice sight, princess. You look good on your knees. As if you were made to kneel down.” “Stop saying that.” She whispered, completely embarrassed by his words. Kid laughed out loud at her wish. “But it’s the truth, princess. Now, get down to business.” He demanded but she didn’t follow his order. Kid raised an eyebrow.
“Didn’t you hear me? Go, suck my dick, princess.” He clarified but again she didn’t move. The princess bit her lower lip, seeming like she wanted to say something but too embarrassed to say it out loud. Kid grabbed her chin and made her look up at him. “What is it, princess? Spit it out or get going!” She averted her gaze but after receiving a slight slap to her cheek she answered.
“I….I have never been….intimate….with a man before.” She whispered, barely audible. The captain made a surprised sound but didn’t let go of her chin. “A virgin, huh? That’s rare. But I like it.” With his other hand he opened his pants, freeing his semi-erect member from its restraints. “Don’t worry. I’ll guide you through everything.” His thumb circling his huge mushroom head. The princess took a quick glance at his dick before looking away, cheeks blushed once more.
“You can look. It gets him excited, y’know.” Kid purred. She hesitated for a moment but then looked back at his dick which twitched in response, slowly becoming harder and harder. “Good girl.” He praised. He let go of her chin and instead took one of her wrists between his fingers and guided her hand towards his member. Before she could touch it, she tried pulling back instinctively but his grip was too strong. “Don’t be shy. Touch him.” He encouraged her and simultaneously pulled her hand closer until he wrapped her hand around his dick, his hand covering hers.
She gasped at the touch. It felt warm and…weird, as if it was some kind of animal. But it made her pussy wet at the same time, making her rub her thighs together. “You like how it feels?” he started to move his hand around hers so she was stroking him. He pressed his hand down, showing her how he liked it. Her legs kept rubbing against each other and she didn’t know what to do about her growing wetness.
“Touch yourself, princess.” His demand came out of nowhere. “What?” she asked bus his grin told her she had heard him right. “I said: touch yourself. I can see you want to.” Her cheeks were burning and she couldn’t move. “Have you ever touched yourself?” he asked, an eyebrow raised in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you haven’t!”
“W-well….n-not really.” God! This must be his lucky day! Fist the treasure and now this!
“Then let me teach you how to do it….Follow my orders, princess.” Her eyes were uncertain but he knew she would obey his orders. She was way too curious.
“Are you wearing panties?” she nodded hesitantly. “Good.” His hand kept holding hers in place, still stroking him.
“Move your hand between your legs and rub your index and middle finger over your panties where your pussy is.” Her hand slowly moved down between her legs and she gasped when she touched herself. “Tell me, are you wet?” his grin was now predatory. He leaned down to be closer to her face. The princess nodded shyly. “Good. Now move your hands in your panties and feel your cunt. Tell me how it feels.” She followed this order as well and a small moan escaped her lips when she touched herself. “How does it feel?” he demanded to know.
“W-wet….hot.” he grunted at her words, closing his eyes for a moment. “Good girl. Do you feel the little nub?” her fingers glid over said nub and she jerked away a little. “Circle it with your finger.” A whimper escaped her lips and she had to close her eyes at the sensation. She felt how her juice coated her pussy even more, making small sounds while she moved her finger over her clit. Kid squeezed her hand slightly and gasped at the feeling. “Do you feel how you’re getting wetter? Does it feel good, princess?”
“Y-yes.” She moaned. Kid picked up the pace at his dick and her hand between her legs followed his pace.
“Do you think you’re wet enough now? Are you dripping?” his voice filled her head and she could only nod. “Push your finger inside.” The princess opened her eyes and looked at him, stopping for a moment. “B-but what if-“ but he cut her off. “Just do it, princess.” His harsh tone made her whimper and her pussy clenched around nothing. Slowly, she moved over her slit and inserted one finger, making a slightly uncomfortable sound. “Try rubbing your clit.” It was difficult and she had her hand at a slightly awkward angle but managed to circle her clit with her thumb. Her legs opened wider when she started moving her finger in and out, the feeling of herself around her finger was weird and exciting at the same time.
His hand picked up the pace around his shaft once more and her hand followed suit. “When you’re ready put another finger in. Spread them.” “Ah!” another small moan when she entered a second finger, scissoring them and also curling them inside of her, moving them in and out of her pussy. The moans came out more frequently now and she hand to rest her cheek against his thigh, watching their hands pump his dick with hooded eyes. It was so hot, she didn’t know where to put her lust. Kid grunted, his eyes never leaving her frame.
“Such a good, slutty princess. Following a pirate’s orders to please herself.” He praised, making her moan again. She started moving her hips up and down on her finger, her moans getting louder and louder. Kid laughed at her action, licking his lips at the sight. “That’s right, princess. Fuck yourself on your fingers. Ride them like it’s my dick.” Another moan. Her movements became frantic and he knew she was close. It was now or never. He let go of her hand and put his hand on the back of her head. “Open up!”
She had no time to think before he pushed his huge dick inside her mouth, almost choking her. Her eyes were wide open and she tried to get away but he wouldn’t let her. “Breath through your nose, princess. And don’t forget fucking yourself.” The problem was not her breathing – at least not her primary. Her gag-reflex had kicked in and it took all her will power not to puke. Kid started moving her head between his legs, low grunts rumbling thorough his body. “Fuck.” He grunted.
The princess listened to his grunts and it somehow got her distracted from the uncomfortable feeling on her tongue. She also started moving her fingers inside of her again, soon getting back the feeling inside or her that indicated her coming orgasm. She moaned around his dick, entering a third finger. His dick moved in and out of her mouth at the same pace, his mushroom head bumping against the backside of her throat; spit was dripping down her chin, his pre-cum salty on her tongue. With two more pushes of her fingers did she clench around herself, cumming hard and coating her fingers.
Kid stopped his movements a little bit unwillingly when she came but he watched her come down from her (probably) first orgasm. He removed his dick from her mouth and grabbed her chin once more, making her look up at him. “Show me your hand.” He whispered. With a small whimper she pulled out her fingers and slowly raised her hand with shaky limbs. Her fingers were coated in her juice and kid licked his lips, then grabbed her hand and closed his lips around her fingers, sucking on them. His tongue swirled around them, licking up every little bit of her cum.
She could only watch in amazement, brains till a little foggy from her high. When he was down, he let her fingers go with an audible plop. “Slutty princess, making such a mess while masturbating. Dirty, dirty little bitch.” His grin took in almost all of his face, that’s how satisfied he was with her job. But he wasn’t done yet…
“Get naked, princess. The main part is about to start.” He purred. “W-what? But I just…I just-“ “I’m gonna make you come again. You’ll like it since you’re such a little whore.” His words made her clench around nothing once more and she knew he would be true to his word. She got up, legs still shaky but she managed to stand in front of him. Her hands moved over her body, down to the hem of her nightgown and pulled it up over her head, exposing her breasts, the nipples hard from her arousal. Kid hummed in appreciation and couldn’t help himself but grab her tits in his hands and fondle them quite roughly.
“K-Kid…” she moaned and leaned into his touch. He leaned closer and took one of her nipples between his lips, sucking and biting at it. She threw her head back and had her eyes closed. “P-please….be gentle.” He looked up at her, licking her nipple before grinning again. “Can’t promise that.” He said and dedicated himself to her other nipple while his hand massaged her breast. His rough hands felt incredibly on her skin and the excited feeling between her legs came back.
The pirate noticed and looked down at her still clothed sex. “Take it off. I wanna see all of you, princess.” His voice was coarse from arousal and had her shiver in excitement. Her hands moved to her panties and pulled the, down, exposing her wet sex. Kid licked his lips at the sight and just had to take a lick by leaning forward. She moaned because of the sensitivity but jerked her hips forward, pressing herself closer to his mouth.
“So eager.” He murmured against her clit before teasing it with his tongue a little. The princess was afraid she might lose her balance and fall but Kid Kid wrapped one arm around her waist to keep her up, the other one grabbed the back of her knee and pulled it up to have better access. His mouth now savored her pussy, licking and sucking at the sensitive flesh and having her moan above him.
“K-Kid! I-it’s too much!” she whined and moaned at the same time, not knowing if she liked it or hated it. Just in this moment a knock on the door could be heard. Kid grumbled in discontent. “What?” he barked. “When are you done, captain?” he heard Killer’s voice from the other side. “Fuck off. I’m in the middle of eating dessert!” her cheeks turned pink again but she couldn’t think straight when he sucked at her clit once more, making her moan.
They heard a Killer clear his throat on the other side and then his leaving footsteps.
“Naughty princess. Letting him hear you moan.” He teased. Kid pulled away from her sex and threw her on the mattress instead. She looked up at him, body heaving, legs slightly spread, exposing her wet pussy. “Such a nice view.” He complimented. The princess sucked on her lips, knowing what was about to happen. Should she really let a pirate take her virginity? She was promised to the prince, was engaged and about to get married. Should she throw this away? But Kid was already above her, his body like a blanket covering her own. He had lined himself up with her pussy, ready to push in.
“Take a deep breath, princess. This’s gonna hurt.” And with these words he pushed forward, sinking into her wet and hot pussy. A painful scream escaped her mouth and she clawed at his muscular arms, trying to find some support for her pain. But Kid showed no pity and pushed himself in completely. Her whole body was tense and she tried to push the foreign body away but the pirate was too strong. “Relax.” He huffed before he started to move inside of her.
“It hurts!” she pressed out, eyes shut tightly. “Stop whining. It’s gonna feel better soon!” Maybe. He thought to himself and grinned. Now was his turn.” His movements were sharp and hard, his dick moving in and out of her. It was a great feeling, especially since he knew he was the very first to thrust into her. Her face looked tense and he knew she was in pain. She was probably bleeding as well but why should he care? She had her orgasm and he wanted his. Well, maybe he could help her a little.
One of his hands moved down between their legs and started rubbing at her clit, making her jerk against his touch. “Good girl. Keep moving against me.” She whimpered, the pain slowly moved to the back of her mind thanks to his finger in her clit. She bucked her hips against his thrusts, making him grunt and curse with each thrust. He picked up the pace, his hips snapping back and forth at high speed, making it hard for her to keep up with his pace. She moaned, eyes closed and her arms were next to her head after she had let go of his arms. Her body was shuffled over the sheets, her body sweaty from all the feelings inside of her.
With each thrusts she got closer and closer to her next orgasm, her voice hoarse from moaning and screaming. Her legs wrapped around his hips, pushing him closer to her and pressing him deeper inside of her. With a last, loud scream she came around his dick, clenching around his thick meat and making him groan in pleasure.
Breathlessly, she laid underneath him, slowly getting her breath back under control. Kid had stopped moving; he looked down at her, had watched her face twitch in pleasure while she rode his dick through her orgasm. It was really hot; he wouldn’t lie but he wasn’t done yet.
“Little princess cumming around my dick like a whore. What an exciting sight. I like it. But I’m not finished yet. Let’s see if I can make you cum a third time. After all, three’s the lucky charm.”
_____________________________
Her whole body felt sore; her body was covered in dark bruises left by his mouth, her breasts and lower body was covered in his semen, dripping down onto the sheets. She felt used and dirty but at the same time completely satisfied.
Kid had left a while ago, the castle was silent. Before he left he had praised her for being such an obedient little princess who took in his dick so well. Alone remembering those words made her smile. She knew she would most likely never see him again but that was fine; after all, he taught her how to pleasure herself and that was enough. At least for now. Maybe she would teach her soon to be husband how to pleasure her.

Ok, I love the role swap concept with zuko and azula, but I feel like they switch their abilities and personalities a bit too and I think itd be more fun without that. Where Azula is an antisocial and unstable genius who wants to gain power and zuko still struggles with being the less powerful and extremely empathetic sibling. So here's how I'd do it.
(Note, this is just for fun. I'm not saying anyone else's version is bad. But I've though about this so much and need it out of my head before I go off cuz make a whole comic and I do not have the time, i need to work.)
First off, Azula wouldn't call out in concern for the men like how zuko did. In my version she's allowed into the meeting because of the aptitude for strategy shes shown. She speaks up because it's an inefficient plan that uses up too many resources when there are other options. This enrages her father and leads to the agni kai. Azula is terrified and feels betrayed but has no idea how to handle any of it. She fights back during the agni kai, but in her panic she sets off a bolt of lightning. Ozai finishes the match and severely burns on her lower back. Azula is banished for her use of lightning on the fire lord (bc ozai fears she will no longer be easy to manipulate and might plot his death) and is forced to leave the next morning.
Some things to note: azula is eleven at this point. I changed the placement of the scar bc I think zuko's is very symbolic in a way that doesnt suit azula. Zuko's scar being over his eye and close to the light chakra shows the way his view of the fire nation and honour obscures his vision and how he is unaware of the truth of the world under fire nation rule. I set azula's over her spine because that chakra is based on survival and blocked by fear. It also represents trust which will fit into her arc with the gaang. Finally, she doesnt have Iroh to guide her. One of the things that bothered me was Iroh writing her off as evil despite her being a mentally unstable child. She did have to be defeated, but the way he talked about it was too dismissive. (Personally I think he was projecting his views of his brother and his perceived failures with him onto her.) Azula isnt sent to capture the avatar so she isnt given soldiers. She's completely alone without an advisor to look to or keep her calm.
Azula is given a manned ship with a disgraced soldier and an attendant when she leaves. The way I see it the soldiers zuko had were probably more irohs than his. The soldier is relieved to not be executed but hates being demoted to playing babysitter to a child at sea. The attendant views it as a punishment and hates Azula for it. Eventually the attendant will betray her and be killed for it. Azula never trusted the soldier and he eventually leaves to start a family in an earth kingdom colony. Azula doesnt miss him, he was no longer useful. The loneliness does get to her though.
Azula is obsessed with getting the underhand, so she had been successfully building connections and planting spies where needed.
(Zuko has been acting as a respectable crowned prince. He holds a zealous loyalty to his nation and father. He still faulters as Iroh tries to steer him from tyranny, but his sights are set on his father's approval and that alone. Afterall, if his prodigy could be discarded who's to say what would happen to him if he failed?)
This brings us to the start of the series. Like Zuko Azula witnesses the trap on the old fire nation battle ship go off. She investigates and finds that an air bending avatar is living at the south pole village. She decides she wants to speak with him.
Azula didn't believe the avatar existed before this point. Hiding didnt add up to her knowledge of the morality of airbenders, so she assumed the air nation avatar from the start of the war would be dead. She would know if one had appeared in the water tribe, as the south had all its benders killed and the north was compacted so close together it would be impossible to hide. Earth would be harder, but they were most likely to fight back and out act. And if in ba sing se they'd be used as a weapon or gotten rid of to preserve the peace of the city. Once the culcle progressed to the fire nation it would either be used to take over the other nations or enf the cycle for good. After all, there hasn't been an air bender for a hundred years even if the rumors of some acolytes surviving were truthful.
Azula kidnaps aang with far more ease than she should of been able to. Once he stops struggling she calmly offers him tea and promises to release him once their discussion is finished. He takes the tea and drinks it without question and besides a wary glare shows no more hostility. She thought him a fool, the tea could have easily been poisoned and promised are nothing but words. His naivete makes her job easier though.
She finds out that he was suspended frozen in the avatar state the last 100 years. And so, Azula informs him of the war and the fire nations crimes, advising him to master the elements if he wants to prevent all his new friends and the avatar cycle from certain destruction. Aang is conflicted, he never asked for any of this. Azula just gives a bitter smile. "The hands of fate were never designed to take requests, they move without regard to any life dependent on it. Dont waste your breath when there is nothing you can do."
Azula wants to see Ozai fail. If helping the avatar is what it takes then so be it. When his friends appear to save him she let's them leave without a fight. Theyll be useful in the future.
As the gaang's travels kick off she sets out to find out if the rumours about the acolytes are true. In this she finds a traveling circus. The youngest daughter and an old friend of hers was eager to escape and found Azula's life exciting. She didn't hesitate after being invited along, insisting that traveling would be easy for her and that she'd pull her own weight.
She encounters the gaang a few times as time goes by. The relationship is reluctant on the water tribe siblings part, they dont trust her and hold a decent amount of fear towards her. Her cold and calculating demeanor was unsettling, but the unhinged way she fought was terrifying. Her form was perfect and her attacks were precise, but the bigger the fight the more lost she became as she laughed and shrieked and occasionally snapped at someone who didnt seem to be there. The only worse reaction was when she zeroed in on one opponent, picking them apart both mentally and physically as she drove them to the ground. )
Things that'll happen as I move through an episode list:
Azula doesn't have her ship attacked do she diesnt run into zhao while doing repairs, instead going straight to ty lee.
Azula learns that the gaang is on kyoshi island and heads ther after them. She has been keeping track of the avatar as they move. Ty lee gets along well with the kyoshi warriors while azula buts heads with them. They dont want her there and azula hates it when people get in the way. Zhao appears to try to capture aang and Azula dips at the same time as the gaang. She tells ty lee she can stay but she insists on sticking with azula. This puts her on edge.
Ty lee gets captured by earth benders, when she escapes on her own she cements her usefulness to Azula.
They run into zhao trying to capture the avatar and azula tells him she'll capture him first. They both attack aang during the solstice, though azula's attacks are all purposefully set to miss and trip up zhao as much as possible. Aang is the best way to prove her father wrong and she's not going to lose that.
They rob the pirates that try to capture the avatar. Azula needs the resources and it gives her leverage over the gaang.
After almost killing ty lee for scaring her by popping up behind her Azula tells her why she was banished. (In more of a "my own mother thought I was a monster" way than an opening up about trauma way.)
Azula learns that zhao has captured aang and frees him. She then sets to reworking her information network as not all of them are scared enough of her to not fail her. She remedies it quickly.
Azula learns that zhao is plotting her assassination and decides it's the perfect moment to fake her death.
Azula enters the north pole to defeat zhao and gain any information she can. Ty lee rades a library during the confrontation. Zhao is surprised and infuriated to see her alive, Azula smiles as she sends him to his death knowing that she is not only helping the avatar but also that he gave her a perfect way to hide from the fire nation. (When news of his sisters death reaches hum, Zuko doesnt know what to think. She was always cruel to him, but she was still his little sister.)
The crown prince of the fire nation is sent to capture the avatar. Azula follows him as he begins his search. (Zuko begins to think he's going insane as he keeps catching glimpses of his recently deceased sister out of the corner of his eye.)
Ty lee keeps running into a girl she slowly befriends. She's gloomy and sarcastic and ty lee thinks Azula would like her. (Zuko's fiance Mai tells him that she thinks his sister is still alive.)
As Azula notices ty lee become more and more distracted as she absorbed herself into the cultures that surround them she decides it's best for them to split up. Ty lee diesnt agree, but Azula leaves anyway. She has work to do.
While traveling alone Azula cant escape the thoughts of her mother. Of her fathers betrayal. Of the life she lost because the idiot elders had no grip on proper strategy that even a child could create. She meets a boy that reminds her far too much of zuko with a mother far to similar to theirs. When she sends the bandits controlling the town running she knows it's more than just controlling a territory that compelled her. But at the same time she doubts not following through on the whim would have bothered her.
Ty lee meets toph and chat for a bit. Ty lee tells her about azula and how she left. When toph tells her she should forget her she insists that azula didnt really ditch her and that they're still friends. They talk about their friends and childhood.
Ty lee finds Azula and immidiently jumps at her, which she does not enjoy. Ty lee insists that she still wants to travel with her and Axula sighs as she let's her tag along to the next location, ba sing se.
Azula slips through guards and protocols as she tries to gain any information she can to help her once they reach the city. Ty lee befriends a guy named jet and his group, the freedom fighters. When he tries to get more than friendship she turns him down and it becomes much more awkward.
Ty lee becomes a street performer and chames everyone she meets as Azula researches the dai lee and how they keep control. After lashing out in frustration ty lee drags her out to enjoy the city's night life.
Azula learns of the presence of the avatar and location of appa. She frees him and sets to work taking control of the dai lee. She let's herself be briefly captured but her plan shifts when katara is thrown in with her. Katara is pissed just being around her and azula plays up a cool kind of annoyance. Katara briefly catches sight of the burns on Azula's back and offers to heal her, only for Azula to freak out and yell at her to stay away, backing against a far wall in a fighting stance. They are saved by the rest if the gaang and ty lee shortly after.
Azula goes back to try and salvage her plan only to be caught off guard by the appearance of her brother and his offer to return to the fire nation. Not willing to lose all possible advantages, she agrees. They battle the gaang, and when they are almost captured azula sends a bolt of lightning at aang, causing them to retreat. Katara can heal him more easily than she can maneuver them out of an execution.
Azula returns to the fire nation with her brother, mai and ty lee, starting the beginning of a large power play between her and her father. They are sent to lo and li beach house. The relationship between the siblings is tense, zuko has always been the child born with nothing who gained everything when his blessed at birth sister lost it all. Azula has always been cruel, but he cant help but let his heart catch on the moments when she's not. ("My own mother thought I was a monster, My father thought i was too difficult to keep around" "Don't let their words blind you, you need to be more careful, zuzu." "I learned the hard way to never turn your back to anyone, and the scars will always be there as a reminder if I need it." )
Azula runs into iroh, who is very disapproving of her presence. He warns her to stay away from zuko and to watch herself while at the palace. Later, zuko comes to her asking about their great grandfather. Upon being pressed he admits that he was sent a mysterious letter. He thought she was going to burn it when he handed it to her but instead the heat from the fire revealed a hidden ink. "Honestly brother, did you ever pay attention at all during lessons?" They find a autobiographical scroll of their great grandfathers life and the secret that their other great grandfather was roku. Azula scoffed at the idea of bloodlines deciding fate and quickly left. But Zuko remained conflicted.
During the day of the black sun Azula confronts Ozai. As iroh and Zuko fight the avatar. She learns that her mother left for zuko's sake and that she was never going to be fire lord. Azula tells him she'll be somthing even better and leaves the palace.
Azula and ty lee follow the gaang to the western air temple. Katara immidprntly attacks but is quickly rendered unable to bend by ty lee. Azula tells them that the only way for them to of gotten out was for Aang to be incapacitated, and she knew katara could heal him. Aang decides they can stay but have to stay distanced from everyone else.
Azula tries to teach aang fire bending but is slowly growing sick while aang is barely able to produce a puff of smoke. Unable to sleep and constantly on edge, it soon affects her bending, sending her spiraling as she loses control on the only consistent power she's ever had. Her and aang journey to find the true source of fire bending to try to help their conditions.
Still sick, Azula is itching to do anything away from the temple. Finding sokka trying to reach the boiling rock to find his father, she decides to go with him as she knows the prison well. Sokka declines but she goes anyway. They dont find his father, but they do find suki. Azula formulates a plan but they postpone when sokka's father arrives.
Azula comes up with a new plan, now reluctant to include sokka. He tells her to trust him but she insists she has no reason to. Her sickness has been getting worse and he tells her she needs to trust him, making her angry. Only when he catches her while they're escaping dies she finally begin to accept trusting him, if only slightly.
(While they're away ty lee tries to convince
Azula goes with Katara to find the man who killed her mother. Azula has no concept of why katara is so upset, which causes her to get angry. But azula tracks the man anyway.
Ember island players- azulas character has the scar across her chest. She's absolutely insane and "not entirely inaccurate, but I'd never come up with such a dumb plan." Shes also heavily implied to be more than close to ty lee, which azula has no reaction to even as the others freak out.
I havent decided the ending, zuko will probably turn to the gaang's side. I'll add more later and maybe write or illustrate a bit.

Marco’s Bauble Part 8 - a One Piece Mermaid AU Text Story
Another update for Tumblr!
This work goes by On the Courtship of Monkey D. Luffy on AO3, and I’ll be updating over there tonight as well!
A quick question....do people like reading the updates here on Tumblr? Or now that it’s on AO3, would people prefer to read there? And if so, would you be okay waiting for new updates until AO3 catches up? I’m a little torn because I’m not sure if people are enjoying reading on here, and it’s quite a hassle to format for Tumblr, and it’s getting a bit difficult for me to juggle updating these stories on 3 separate platforms...
ANYWAY, in this update, Thatch has some Thoughts, and there is mention of Ace x Luffy.
Continues off of, and should be read after:

What are her 3 sizes?
(For the wedding dress, of course.)
"The fuck! Like I'd tell you!" Thatch roars, startling the blue gull into momentarily leaping off the rail, before it circles back, landing again to peck at his  sleeve to express its displeasure. Thatch ignores it, because he's fuming.
So apparently all of his and Koala's secret debates over whether Marco intentionally proposed or not were for naught, because here's the fucking evidence. And it comes from Izo of all people, because Thatch would recognize that lopsided handwriting anywhere (the man insists that his handwriting is beautiful in his native language of Wano, but he never quite got used to writing any other way).
And well, if Izo, an unrelated third party but professional snooper knows, then Marco himself must know.
And apparently, they're already planning a wedding.
Thatch feels like an idiot. He'd been defending Marco against Koala, and the lil Revolutionary was a tough opponent, one he'd had to chase out of the kitchen with a ladle more than once when he was tired of her word games. Thatch had insisted, like a fool, that no Marco's not that kind of guy, he really isn't the type to play with people's emotions, he would never propose for a joke, nor would he do it seriously without good reason. It must all be an accident, a little misunderstanding, Marco was just ignorant like Thatch himself was!
Except, apparently he did know and it wasn't an accident, and now Thatch feels completely lost because he doesn't know what Marco's thinking at all. Marco, who's not just his his first friend on the Moby, but arguably his best friend; Marco, his brother over several decades; Marco, who Thatch thought he knew better than anyone, except perhaps Pops himself...
Thatch's also pissed, because if Marco wants to start drama after they all reunite and he's introduced to Luffy, that's one thing (not that that would be great either). But right now, they're still near the beginning of Paradise with almost half the circumference of the world to go until even the halfway point, and Marco is WAY on the other side of the Red Line. If this ship explodes in flames or whatever that batshit Revolutionary brother might do, Mister First Division Commander is completely unaffected, but there are plenty of innocents here (like hello! Thatch!) who would find that pretty devastating.
Also, Thatch was the one who passed on that gift to Luffy! Even if he didn't know what it meant at the time...doesn't that make Thatch complicit? And even if not, Marco's strongest connection here is clearly Thatch. If Marco's actions cause chaos, then the blame and responsibility to clean up the mess naturally falls upon Thatch. Which, he definitely did not sign up for.
Pops, Thatch thinks miserably, I thought I was supposed to show them they can depend on us Whitebeards, NOT that us Whitebeards will fuck shit up for them...
But more than anything, there's a shocking large part of Thatch that absolutely balks at just the idea of Luffy getting married. And it's shocking because Thatch shouldn't feel this upset.
Marco, for all the complaints Thatch wants to hurl at him at the moment, is still a really great guy. A guy who, in literally any other situation, Thatch would be the first in line to enthusiastically encourage, and also to congratulate.
And sure, Thatch knows he has a crush, and his little Seastar's carving out a larger home for herself in his heart by the day, but--Thatch admittedly has crushes a lot. Sure, this one feels different, but...Marco, to his knowledge, has never had a romantic crush. He only sometimes but very rarely even has a night out, and Thatch doesn't think he's ever held a relationship longer than three encounters. He's always so serious, so diligent, so sincerely and whole-heartedly dedicated to Pops and his family. He almost never does anything selfish for himself, and Thatch would know.
If, for whatever reason, Marco is genuinely serious about Luffy...then Thatch should, and would, step to the side, regardless of personal feelings. If this is the path Marco wants, then he deserves it, and Thatch will always be the first to say it, no matter how craptastic the circumstances. And Thatch knows that Marco would give his bride the world.
Without them even having met, Thatch doesn't doubt for a second that Marco would make Luffy happy, till the end of her days.
The fact that Thatch knows all this, yet still feels near unbearable reluctance...says more than he's willing to admit.
And so he decides to avoid thinking about the most obvious reason (his own feelings), and instead contemplates his second very compelling reason: Ace.
His littlest brother isn't so great at being honest with himself, and never has. But this, Thatch feels, isn't just a matter of denial.
The boy literally has no clue.
Oh sure, Ace knows he loves his little brother. He makes sure everyone else knows it too, both here on the Merry and back on the Moby once he opened up enough to talk to people. He's so damn proud of her, yet also concerned for her, while also trusting her with his life and more. It's clear to anyone who sees them together that he absolutely adores her.
But it's more than that, isn't it, Thatch thinks. It's in the little gestures, the way Ace raises his arm up without looking at her and she slides under it, also without needing to look at him. It's the casual way they lace their fingers together, like it's nothing, when they're snoozing out on the deck. It's the way sometimes they have unspoken conversations, just staring into each others eyes, before moving forward in synch to meet in the middle to bump their foreheads together in some secret mutual understanding.
It's the reason why Sanji, for all his extravagant flirting, knows when to shut up and return to being a normal human (and, Thatch grudgingly admits, this applies to himself too). It's why Zoro never lets his gaze linger more than two seconds longer than it needs to (but he'll always take those two seconds), why Nami always looks like she wants to sit closer but doesn't, why Koala hasn't said anything when she's probably usually a much more proactive flirter.
Everyone on their crew can see it, except the two in question.
Ace, Thatch thinks, heaving a huge sigh as he looks down at the crumpled note from Izo in his palm. Little brother, you are so fucking in love.
It might not necessarily be romantically. It's certainly not particularly sexually, if Ace's lack of reaction to Lu's aggressive physical smothering is any indication. It could very possibly be platonically.
But either way, there's no room for Sanji, nor Zoro, nor the girls, nor even Thatch himself...at least, until those two figure that out.
Until then, everyone aboard the Merry is here because they love and respect their captains. No one would dare encroach on something so special, yet so potentially immature, not yet ready to be dragged out to be recognized.
Thatch knows Ace has known Luffy for years, he practically raised her. But he was also away at sea for three years. Luffy was a child when he left; she's an adult now.
Thatch once asked him if she had changed at all since he last saw her (Ace most certainly had, according to Deuce). And Ace looked blank, then horribly confused, before saying No...but also, yeah, I guess. Thatch understands; Ace isn't used to not knowing something about Luffy. And something...something had changed.
That something might very well be the thing that needs to be figured out. And for that, Ace hasn't had much time yet, since reuniting with Luffy. Only as much time as the rest of them, in fact. And they deserve time to figure that out, and as the two captains' loving crew, the ASL pirates have an unsaid agreement to watch over them...at least until they have.
(After that, Thatch thinks grimly, it might be open game.)
But of course, there's also the question of Luffy herself, and as much as she's the heart of the ASL Pirates, she's also an enigma. Thatch, for all that he adores her and honestly wants more with her, genuinely has a hard time imagining her as anything but clueless as someone's romantic partner (he's carefully not thinking about anything sexual). It very well may be that the whole "figuring out" that she and Ace have to do...ends up being nothing. And that's fine as well.
Either way, as much as Thatch loves him, there's no way that any of them here on board the Merry will stand to let Marco shatter this delicate...whatever it is that's going on between their captains, that the rest of them are so patiently respecting. Even if it ends up continuing indefinitely.
As strained as it can feel at times, they're comfortable like this. There's the little spark of joy when Seastar gives him a little extra attention, a little burn when Sanji kisses her hand, but comfort in the stability that no one will go any further. If anything it's a nice little spice to their daily lives, just the right amount, and not enough ruin the dish so to speak. This is fine.
Except, that there's just one teeny little problem...
"What did the blue gull bring you today, Commander?"
Thatch doesn't jump, because he's not an amateur and did realize that the Revolutionary was approaching, but perhaps later than he should have. Damn the kid's good at hiding his presence, and Thatch wonders if he'd have noticed at all if Sabo was being serious.
"Just a stupid request from a stupid brother," Thatch says cheerfully as he turns around to face Sabo. The boy isn't even trying to hide his curiosity, his gaze pinned to Thatch's hand.
Thatch contemplates chucking the letter into the sea, but then he realizes he isn't sure Sabo wouldn't just dive after it, and as a devil fruit user, Thatch wouldn't be able to stop him from reading it underwater.
So he casually uncurls his fingers, watches Sabo visibly perk up--before Thatch opens a black hole in his palm, letting the crumpled paper get sucked into the void.
(Perhaps he should be using his power as more than a secure second dimension pocket expansion, but hey, so far it hasn't been so helpful in the kitchen.)
Sabo sags and sulks, rather cutely, Thatch thinks. "You coulda let me see it," he pouts, looking up at Thatch with an expression uncannily like Luffy's. Fuck.
"Collecting intel, Chief?" Thatch winks, expertly hiding his horror that for a moment, he'd actually been tempted. Little sneak.
"Perhaps." Something slightly manic enters his gaze, and alright, that's nothing like Seastar, not so cute after all...
"Nice try, but it's a personal family thing, can't really share," Thatch says, and it's not really a lie.
Sabo grunts, letting it go, before his gaze flicks to the gull, who still has a beakful of Thatch's sleeve. "It waiting for something?"
Thatch sighs. "Yeah, yeah, my response, which I should probably give..." Because, right, Thatch needs to send a message back to the Moby, even if no, he isn't going to answer Izo's idiotic question.
Which, is actually a fine excuse to extract himself from this situation.
"So, sorry, the response also is personal, hope you don't mind," Thatch nods, and Sabo easily opens the way for him--which, Thatch belatedly realizes, he'd actually been blocking. Scary, little Chief, scary...
"Sorry, didn't mean to pry." Sabo sounds genuinely apologetic, and tips his hat at Thatch as he passes by, and Thatch inwardly heaves a massive sigh of relief. "I'm working on it, but I know I can get a little...pushy, when it comes to things that involve my baby brother."
Thatch continues to walk away.
But inside...
Oh. Yikes, he thinks.
~~
Thatch is in the privacy of the currently empty men's sleeping room beneath the deck, and has just finished writing and giving instructions and bribes to the gull when the hatch creaks open.
"Thatch, we're in trouble," Koala announces as she stomps down the stairs, making her sneaky opening of the door rather pointless.
"I noticed," Thatch says dryly.
Koala pales. "He didn't break any of your toes, did he?!"
"What."
"Well, you're a cook, you make food Luffy likes with your hands," Koala shrugs. "Just wanted to make sure."
"What the fuck."
"I don't think he will! You're Luffy and Ace's crew, and you're a Whitebeard pirate, but..."
Thatch groans. "I already thought your Chief might be trouble, but holy shit I didn't know he was that batshit."
"He might not be!" Koala sounds defensive, but it's not particularly comforting. "He's usually reasonable, kind of, but since his memories came back..."
Thatch throws up his arms. "So, how'd he get it out of you?"
Koala flushes. "I didn't say anything!"
"Sure."
"It's not my fault that Sabo's a damn--!"
There's a loud knock, before the hatch flings open, and Ace pops his head in. "Hey Thatch! What's for snack--"
"NOT AGAIN!" Koala cries.
At the same time, Thatch shouts, "IN A SECOND!"
Either way, the hatch slams shut with a, "SORRY!"
Thatch and Koala stare at each other with their hearts beating uncomfortably rapidly.
They slowly heave a slow sigh of relief as the tension drains.
"I really need to apologize to Ace," Thatch mutters.
"I really need to work on my Observation Haki," Koala groans.
"HEY THATCH, I WANT A SNACK," Luffy shouts, and Thatch and Koala's heads whip around in horror, only to sag with relief at seeing that Luffy's not in the room, but only for a second--
--because after that second, a mermaid's crashing through the hatch, ripping it from its hinges as she slams, hatch and all, into Thatch's chest.
The room fills with dust and debris, and there are shouts outside.
Koala gingerly peers into the wreckage where Thatch is now buried in the wall, a terrified blue gull  perched on her shoulders peering alongside her, its claws digging through the fabric of her shirt.
"We're fine," Thatch coughs, peering down to make sure he'd successfully caught and shielded Luffy from damage, even as he peels himself from the wood. Luffy seems unharmed, though her eyes are wide; she clearly hadn't expected to do quite this much.
"...Armament?" Koala asks, noticing how the back of Thatch's hair is black from where it's fanned around him.
"Armament," Thatch agrees, keeping the entire back of his body coated until he's safely pulled himself and Luffy, still in his arms, away from any sharp wood.
"Sorry, Thatch," Luffy says, not particularly apologetic, if anything sort of curious. She peels herself back from his chest, scritching her cheek while looking down at what was once the hatch to the mens room that had shattered between them. She then reaches back to tug at Thatch's black locks, and oohs when they fade back to auburn.
"No worries, just make sure to make it up to Deuce and Usopp when they have to fix this," Thatch sighs, before grinning, letting his arms fall away from Luffy once he knows she has a secure grip on his shoulders. He then begins carding his fingers through her hair to make sure no splinters got in, and likewise dusting off the front of her vest, taking care not to let his touch linger. Luffy nods frantic agreement, more like rubs her head into his palm, and Thatch feels his heart skip a beat.
Koala sighs.
"Hey Thatch, what's this?"
Thatch blinks, then inwardly curses.
Luffy's holding Izo's crumpled piece of paper. His control of his power's still shoddy, and it must have accidentally spat it back out in the commotion.
Please, don't be able to read that, he prays. He luckily doesn't have much confidence in Luffy's reading abilities.
"It says 'what are her three sizes.' What are those?"
In the background, Koala slowly raises her fist.
~~
A few days later, Marco's scouting when a blue gull rapidly approaches him.
Delivery! it squawks. Delivery for you, Boss, and don't show Izo! Don't show Izo! Don't show Izo or the bread man will be mad!
Thank you, noted, friend, Marco responds, and catches the note from Thatch in mid air.
The gull trills acknowledgement, then wheels away to rejoin its brethren, while Marco changes course for the nearest island, a safe forest haven in Pops's territory, still a ways away from the Moby. It's uninhabited, save for the wildlife, and it would be good to land once before returning home anyway.
Marco lands lightly on the tallest and oldest tree on the island, from where he can survey the island of pure greenery, and the endless blue stretching beyond. The branch he's chosen looks deceptively thin, but he already knows it can support his human weight, which is why he shifts, passing the note from his claw to his hand before completing his transformation.
Marco frowns. The other Commanders (and to be honest, the entire crew) have been acting a bit strange recently, but for Thatch, who isn't even on board with them, to also be in on it...
True, this may or may not be related to that at all. But still.
Marco feels like he's missing something.
Marco, Thatch's message starts, and Marco already knows it's going to be serious because it didn't start with a jibe at his appearance.
Marco, I think I'm actually serious about her. Thoughts, brother?
Her, meaning the Ace's little brother, the mermaid girl.
If Marco remembers correctly, in Thatch's first note back to him, he'd written, She's stolen my heart, I think I want to marry her.
Marco had assumed Thatch was joking at the time, or just light-heartedly flirting, as he always did. Marco's used to hearing Thatch spew these kinds of words, and he'd taken it to mean that the girl's exceptionally Thatch's type, but hadn't thought further.
The words had made him remember a little trinket he'd had stored in a chest at the back of his closet, one he'd received from an elderly couple on Fishman Island around two decades ago...
But that's not important now, Marco thinks, focussing on Thatch's message.
In all his years of flings and casual relationships and jokingly asking ladies (and some gents) Won't you marry me...Thatch has not once asked for Marco's opinion. He's certainly had plenty of opinions himself about whether someone would be a potential good match for Marco, which Marco always ignored. But Thatch has never asked Marco about matches for himself.
Thatch really is serious.
Marco finds himself slowly smiling. "Finally, you sap," he murmurs, though no one hears him but the other birds in the trees around him.
He knows he ought to think more about what to say, but the answer is so obvious that Marco takes Thatch's note, and carefully tears the paper so that his brother's words aren't damaged. Gently tucking Thatch's note into his pocket, Marco pulls out a pen for the remaining small blank strip of paper.
Shortly afterwards, two birds depart from the island, in opposite directions: one, a phoenix, wings burning cyan against the clear skies, and the other, a blue gull headed to Paradise.

“Bloody pirates”, Carina hissed under her breath, slapping away a piece of straw that had caught on the collar of her dress and was prickling her neck. She was absolutely covered in the stuff, having spent the last ten minutes completely submerged in it in the back of a fast-moving carriage. Her whole body itched and her eyes hadn’t stopped watering, but it had been the perfect cover for her escape from St. Martin’s bustling town centre and the stampede of redcoats on her tail.
To be fair, she didn’t know for certain whether the man who’d unceremoniously thrown her from a rooftop was a pirate - but she would put money on it. Everything from his scruffy appearance to his seafarer’s gait ticked the right boxes. And he did look rather like the face she’d seen plastered on numerous ‘Wanted’ posters throughout town. Oh, and the bank robbery was a bit of a giveaway too.
‘Jack Sparrow’ then, if it was indeed him. A name she’d certainly encountered in her enquiries into local history (she needed to know the lay of the land if she was going to find her father, after all).
Not really living up to your name, are you? She mused, as she spotted yet another cluster of gold coins not yet snatched up by St. Martin’s impoverished residents. Carina had been following their trail since exiting the cart, darting from one concealed alleyway to another to avoid being spotted by a keen-eyed guard.
She knew exactly where - and who - they’d lead her to.
Under normal circumstances, Carina wouldn’t dream of chasing the heels of a pirate. Especially one who’d thrown her off a rooftop. But her current circumstances were anything but normal, and if the man was indeed Jack Sparrow then he was an outlaw - like her. And he most likely had a ship. A ship she might be able to secure passage on with the right leverage.
What that leverage was exactly, she didn’t quite know at the present. She’d hastily scooped a few coins off the street, her bedraggled state helping her blend in with a gaggle of unwashed townsfolk enticed by the glint of gold. She hoped she might be able to use them to buy her passage with the pirate. With the amount scattered in the dirt, she couldn’t imagine he’d gotten away with much.
It was a flimsy plan, but after her persecution for witchcraft, subsequent imprisonment and escape, she hadn’t really had time to come up with a better alternative.
The trail led her far from town and through the untamed greenery of its outskirts, the coins growing fewer and further between as she neared the shore. Sharp barbs of unfamiliar foliage clawed at her dress and scratched exposed skin, and at one point she came horrifyingly close to stepping on a cleverly disguised snake. To her relief, she soon she emerged to feel the soft, warm sand of the island’s shoreline under her feet.
“There you are”, she breathed, darting behind a fronded tree for a clandestine look at the sight before her. A rickety wooden structure resembling a makeshift pier extended from the beach into the glittering Caribbean sea. Perhaps the least seaworthy ship she had ever seen sat upon it on a series of ruts on the shore. She could make out the figures of possibly-Jack-Sparrow and assumed crewmates in an animated discussion on deck. As she watched, all but the captain himself departed one-by-one.
It was time to make her move.
Oh, I really hope this works. With a deep breath to steady her trembling nerves, she stepped out from behind her cover and made her approach.

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - they steal an old pirate ship
I'm alive!! I'm so sorry for just ditching you guys, but I was in Shasta for a week and didn't have any internet access so I wasn't even able to say that I was gonna not update. But I hope this nice, semi-long chapter makes up for it!  Reminder that this is also available on FF, Inkitt, Ao3, Webnovel, and Wattpad
On a completely different note, I'm going to be starting to write a book. Like, a real published book. It'll take a few years but I'm determined and I love the idea I thought of so if any of you are interested, email me at [email protected] and I might be willing to send some samples. I want input, badly. And all the people in my life are biased. Total strangers on the internet are totally made for this, right?
I recently got into readers marauder era fanfics and I'm already in too deep, gays (and yes I meant to say gay, we all know it if you're reading pjo fanfiction). There is no escape.
Anyway, I'm running out of prewritten chapters, so I have to get to writing that while preparing to write a book. Wish me luck! Happy pride month! 🏳️‍🌈✨

"Run it by me again. Just one more time," Steve asked, still highly confused.
They had made it to Florida and were now at a private dock. Percy had just briefly explained his control over any water vehicle and the Captain was not getting the point. It was understandable. Percy still barely got it.
However, they didn't have a whole lot of time, and every second they wasted discussing Percy's weird powers was another second Annabeth's captors had to hurt her. They did not have time for this.
"We are going to steal a boat, and I'm going to sail us the rest of the way," Percy sighed.
"Ok, but, how are we going to sail it if only you know how to do it?" Steve asked.
Even Piper was getting frustrated now. "He can control the boat! We won't have to do anything! The boat will listen to his will! Oh my gods!"
"But how is that possible!?" Steve shouted.
"How would I know?! I was just born with the freaky powers!" Percy yelled right back, getting fed up with this never-ending conversation.
Jason decided to cut in before things got too out of hand. They had to save Annabeth.
"Guys! This doesn't matter! What matters is that we save Annabeth, and we can't do that if we're stuck here arguing over something that is out of our control," he said.
Percy huffed. "He started it."
Hazel rolled her eyes. "How does Annabeth put up with you?"
"Honestly? No idea," Percy smirked.
"Let's just get going, team. We have a boat to steal, right?" Tony asked.
"Yep. And I think this place has the perfect one for the job." The son of Poseidon then started walking away, apparently following his weird sailing powers.
I guess we're supposed to follow him, thought Piper.
Ω ♆ Ω
"This is supposed to take us through the most cursed waters on the planet?" Bruce asked, looking the boat up and down.
"Yes. Isn't it beautiful?" Percy said and smiled, running his hand along the side.
Tony leaned over to Frank. "Is he seeing the same boat we are?"
Frank just shrugged, used to Percy's weirdness by now. Honestly, it was a little hard for him to imagine the team taking what was in front of them to Polyphemus' island. It seemed like it wouldn't survive the normal ocean.
To be clear, what Percy was suggesting they take was an old pirate ship, currently on display inside of a warehouse at the dock. It was covered in dried-up barnacles, and the mast was split in half. There were also holes all along the sides. It was a miracle the thing hadn't crumbled already.
"Yes, Tony, I am. This thing will run for me. It doesn't even need to be repaired, I can handle that. The only thing that matters is that it is built to withstand the type of waters we're going out in," Percy said. "We need all the advantages we can get."
Natasha, to everyone's surprise, spoke up, "I think we should trust Percy. If he says it'll work, then it'll work. He's the son of Poseidon, right? Nothing can hurt us while in the ocean. Am I correct, Percy?"
Jason cleared his throat and gave Percy a significant look. The Avengers needed to know that they were basically powerless in the triangle. The older teen looked ready to explain, but Frank spoke before he had the chance.
"Actually, no. The Sea of Monsters is outside of Poseidon's realm of power, hence the name. Percy won't have the same access to his father's domain as he does out here," he said, "So, basically, we're entering a dangerous situation, with no backup, and an inexperienced team. Should be fun, right?"
The Avengers were shocked, to say the least. Not at what the boy had said, but who had said it. As far as they had seen, Frank wasn't as confident as his physical form portrayed. They were wrong. Frank was confident, and his friends were proud of him for it, too. It had been a large transformation from when Percy had first met the son of Mars.
"Well, I think we should start heading out. We want to get as far as possible before the sun goes down, right?" Piper asked.
"Right," Percy nodded.
She wasn't really certain about all of this sailing stuff. Sure, she had been on the Argo II, but that was different than an actual boat. For one, it could fly and was controlled by a gaming console. She hadn't really bothered learning how to actually run a ship for that.
But now, she had to act like she knew what she was doing, and that was scary. The Avengers may put on a confident front, but she saw the insecurities in all of them. Some were harder to find than others, but finding insecurities was her specialty.
They really were going into a completely unknown situation. At least Piper and the Seven had been in this world for a little while, but the Avengers hadn't even encountered a monster before. It would sure be a shock when they were faced with some of the worst ones for their first fights. So, she and the rest of the demigods had a responsibility to be the examples, no matter how much the "adults" liked to point out that it was "ethically wrong" for them to do that.
Ω ♆ Ω
Turns out, the kid hadn't been lying about being able to sail the ship. Tony would be the first to admit that he was skeptical of the structure of the vessel, but he was proved wrong when, after the group had gotten the thing into the water, it had started to magically prepare itself for departure. Not a single drop of water leaked into the interior; it was like the water simply moved around the holes.
It was spectacular!
Before he knew it, the group had settled into the boat and were moving away from the dock. The Avengers were marveling at everything around them, considering that Percy wasn't even steering the thing, and yet it was supposedly moving in the right direction. To add to the shock, the ship's parts were moving themselves. It was not logically possible, and yet there Tony was, watching it unfold like some kind of acid trip.
"This is...amazing," he muttered, leaning against the rail with Leo, who he had taken a certain liking to. They were a lot alike.
The son of Hephaestus grinned, "Right? I told you guys Percy had cool powers. You should see him with Blackjack or Arion. It's wacky, man!"
"Who's Blackjack and Arion?" Tony asked, noting the new names.
"Oh. Right, I forgot. Blackjack is Percy's pegasus, and Arion is Hazel's horse. Percy can talk to them because his father created horses," Leo answered.
And just when the man of iron was getting used to all of this, he was pulled back into astonishment.
Ω ♆ Ω
After a couple hours of mingling and exploring, Percy called the team up to the deck. He had started to feel it a while ago when he knew it was still a distance away, but now he knew that they were approaching the Sea of Monsters.
It was a blank spot for him. Everywhere else, he could feel the ocean's power thrumming, waiting for him to control it. But here, there was nothing. Considering they were in the middle of the ocean, it was pretty obvious what it was. That was how he had tracked the place down without a map. It was his blind spot. He would just follow the blankness like it was the North Star.
Once everyone had gathered, he told them the news, and to say the atmosphere changed was an understatement. What smiles they had had disappeared, and their expressions turned serious.
"It's time, guys. Get ready. The first thing we're going to come up on is Scylla and Charybdis. We have to go through them to get into the sea. Now, I've planned this so that we should hopefully be able to pass through without any problems, but with six demigods' luck, we shouldn't rely on that too much. Charybdis only feeds three times a day, so if I planned this right, we should be able to pass over her without a fuss. Everyone got it? Be prepared for a fight, but don't expect it, please. We don't need any more reasons for the Fates to curse us."
Hazel stepped up, "Should the Avengers help us if we end up fighting something? Or should they just observe how we deal with monsters first?"
"We can handle ourselves," Steve defended.
Jason sighed, fed up with the same old arguments, "Alright, that's it! The Avengers will let us take the lead in any fights we may or may not end up in. They will not do anything without one of our approvals because we have actual experience with these beings. They will not be put on the sidelines, but they will also not be on the front lines. Does that work for everyone?"
Percy sent a thankful grin to his cousin, "Thank you, Jason. And yes, it does."
Jason just nodded in return.
"Alright, gang! Buckle up! Make sure to keep your hands and feet inside the ship at all times, and remember, the sword points away from you. It's showtime!" Leo cackled.
Just as he finished, they entered a wall of mist, which was unsettling to say the least. The temperature dropped almost three degrees as they passed through it.
Percy pulled out Riptide before steering the ship towards Charybdis. Hopefully, if everything went to plan, they would be out of this Hades-forsaken place by sunrise.
But, of course, nothing ever went to plan on a demigod's quest.
Ω ♆ Ω
Maybe it wasn't the best idea for me to come, was Bruce's first thought as he got his first glimpse at a greek monster. He had taken refuge inside the sleeping quarters of the ship, practicing his breathing exercises. He was really hoping this didn't turn into a Code Green. This was definitely not the place to let the Hulk loose.
So far, it had been silent upstairs, so Bruce concluded that it was going good so far. He had researched the Greek and Roman myths before they had left and on the plane, and everything that he could find on Charybdis was not reassuring. It was true what Percy said, that she only ate three times a day, but nobody really knew when those times were. Until Percy, apparently. He had survived the Sea of Monsters, so everyone on this ship had to trust his judgement in everything they did here. Bruce could tell that the other Avengers were struggling with taking orders from a "child." But Bruce had learned to not underestimate anyone on his travels while in hiding. Plus, look up any demigod's name and there was a whole list of accomplishments to find.
If Percy said that he knew when the monster liked to eat, then he knew when the monster liked to eat. It was as simple as that.
So, ten minutes into their first obstacle, and things were going fine. Everyone was eerily quiet, but no sign of Charybdis or Scylla yet. Of course, as soon as someone thought about it, an outline of a serpent appeared in the fog surrounding the boat.
Frank was the first one to spot it. "Guys..." He looked up at Percy. "We have a problem."
He pointed into the fog and Percy cursed. "Oh schist. I knew she couldn't just leave us alone."
The Avengers had figured out that something was coming and were unsure what to do. The demigods seemed to be just waiting like sitting ducks for the thing to attack them, and that was not a good plan. The Avengers don't wait for their opponent to strike first.
"Alright, that's it. I'm going to see what it is," Tony mumbled, activating his Iron Man armor.
"No, Tony! That's not a good-" Piper got cut off as the billionaire flew off, "...idea."
If she couldn't yell at that idiot, she was gonna yell at his teammates. She turned around, prepared to cuss out some idiot "superheroes," but Hazel beat her to it. "What was he thinking?! Why didn't you idiots stop him?! He has no idea what he's getting himself into! That monster is NOT something you guys can handle without our help! Mortalium tam stultus!"*
Natasha appraised the small demigod. She sure was a young spitfire. And from what she had seen already, a powerful one.
"Ok, let's just calm down, alright? Tony should be able to hold his own until we can go save his stupid ass," Leo sighed. Working with mortals was draining.
They were always so brash about things. And yes, coming from a greek, that statement was pretty hypocritical, but it still wasn't a lie. He idolized Mr. Stark's work, but man if only the guy could learn some restraint and he would be perfect.
Just as Leo had spoken, an explosion was heard, followed by a muffled string of curses. Only Tony Stark could come up with those creative swear words, so at least there was proof that the guy was still alive. For now, at least. The group needed to get that soon.
"Alright, hold on! This is gonna get bumpy!" Percy shouted, steering the ship towards the sound of fighting.
He willed the vessel to move faster, and it, of course, obeyed. In his head, Percy was just thinking rush rush rush. They needed to get this fight out of the way and get to Annabeth right after. Percy was praying to any god that would listen for there to not be any more disruptions to their journey. He just had to be confident in his skills. He had done this before, so he knew what lay ahead of them.
And it was going to be a challenge.
Ω ♆ Ω
Tony would deny any claim of him being held in the mouth of a sea serpent by his leg. Cuz that didn't happen. Totally.
But if it did, then the rest of the questing group would have worked together to fend off the monster until they could get away. Percy would've used Riptide to stab the monster in the leg, while Jason flew up and used his gladius to cut open her eye. The rest of the group basically just put on a full-frontal assault until Scylla released their idiotic teammate. Leo blew some fire, Hazel manipulated the Mist so that the Avengers could all see it for what it was, Piper made it loosen its grip with her charmspeak, Frank and Clint released some well-placed arrows, Natasha fired some gunshots, and Steve sliced into it with his shield.
All in all, the thing realized quickly that it was outmatched.
Then, after Tony received a very stern reprimanding by Piper and Steve, the group carried on. They didn't have time to dilly-dally. Saving Annabeth was their top priority.
Ω ♆ Ω
Meanwhile...
"Let me go, you skatá!"* Annabeth screamed, kicking her captor in the knees.
She had been knocked out as soon as they had shadow traveled, so she hadn't woken up until an hour ago. When she had, her wrists and ankles had been shackled to a stone wall with imperial gold shackles. The terrorists had stepped up their game.
There was dim lighting, but from what she could figure out before, she was in a cave of some kind. They had completely cleared out the area around her, so there weren't any visible location markers. That is, until they moved her.
The people who had grabbed her were strong and bulky and covered in black. They had black combat suits with black ski masks covering their features. Stereotypically, Annabeth would've figured the goons to be stupid, but they kept her shackles on and put a sack over her head so they at least has someone smart on their team.
Annabeth was getting really sick of not knowing anything, though.
So that's where she found herself at the moment: as a "defenseless" hostage. It was quite comical, really. Did these idiots really think that she would go quiet?
She felt one of her kicks come into contact with a kneecap and heard a satisfying grunt of pain from one of the thugs. Good, she thought, I hope that hurt.
Then, she was thrown onto the cold, stone floor and forced to hold her head up. The whole situation was so stereotypical that she wanted to laugh. But then she also didn't want to come off as more psycho than her captors, so she kept it to herself.
"This is quite interesting," a voice said, "The prideful daughter of Athena, reduced to a simple mortal's hostage.
The sack on her head was yanked off, so Annabeth spat down at the man's feet, glaring at him with a burning hatred. Taking a quick survey of the room, Annabeth found that she was being held captive on Polyphemus' island. The room was the main room of his cave; the one where she, Percy, and Grover further blinded the cyclops.
"If you had actually gotten me on your own, it might have been impressive, but having to use monsters is just pathetic," she said.
The leader growled and kicked her in the jaw. It didn't have enough power to break it, but it did cause her to bite through her tongue.
Annabeth spit out the blood produced in her mouth, dirtying the man's shiny shoes. The guy would have to do a lot worse than that to scare her.
"Hmm... I like your spirit. It's going to be that much more fun when I break it," he hissed, kneeling down to her eye level.
"I hope you rot in Hades," is all Annabeth responded with.
The guy laughed. ACTUALLY laughed. So, he was a crazy sociopath hades-bent on tearing down the natural order of the universe, Annabeth decided, how nice.
Ω ♆ Ω
I kinda really love this and I hope you did too. Now, to get into some unasked political shit: Love is love. I like all genders, and I still don't want to see any of them practically having sex in front of me. So just, accept yourself and others for who they are and move on. Is that so hard? Happy pride month & happy Father's Day!!

Bonus scene!
The group was spending time in the dining room of the ship when all of a sudden, Percy remembered something truly horrifying. Like, beyond disgusting!
“Oh, my gods! Guys!!!” he exclaimed.
Hazel rolled her eyes and said, “What, Percy?”
“Charybdis is my half-sister! Ew ew ew ew ew EW EW EW EW!!!” Percy shouted his answer.
Everyone simultaneously gagged.
(Inside, Steve was starting to get seriously concerned about these kids’ chaotic family.)

Thoughts on Sentinel and Ruined Skins
Alright, I plan to give my full thoughts on the entire event once it’s over, but for the time-being, I wanted to give my general thoughts on each skin so far. I’ll be putting this under a read-more for convenience.))
So I guess I’ll start by saying that I like the concept of the event as a whole, though I’ve got some gripes (as do many) with who was chosen to partake. I think, having played through the VN up to its current point, that they do a decent job justifying most of the characters who get Ruined/recruited. That said, it does annoy me that they didn’t even go all-in on the concept; one Sentinel and one Ruined champ per region could have been great, but then there are some regions that don’t even have one of each.
So yeah, in addition to giving my overall thoughts on each existing skin, I also wanna touch on who else I think could have been included.
Sentinel Vayne: In my opinion, the best Sentinel skin of the lot. Not only does it look good (arguably better than her original design) but Vayne is a natural fit for the Sentinels. She already devotes her life to hunting monsters and dark magic, so it absolutely makes sense that she would join up at least until the Ruination is dealt with.
Ruined Shyvana: I wasn’t so sure about this one at first, but I’ve warmed up to it now that we know how Viego’s possession works. Taking the worst aspects of someone’s personality and bringing them to the forefront? Yeah, go figure that Shyvana would give into her monstrous side and resentment for being persecuted almost every day of her life. You could argue that there were better picks, but hey, better Ruined Shyvana than yet another Lux skin, right?
Sentinel Olaf: While not my first choice, I can’t deny that it works in the long-run. The dude already has a history of fighting the undead in his endless quest to find a worthy foe capable of slaying him, and of course the Ruined King seems like a suitably worthy opponent for Olaf to go up against. That being said, I feel like we should have gotten a Ruined Champ from the Freljord as Olaf’s rival, rather than it just being Vex. I don’t mind Vex appearing when she did to have us encounter her for the first time, but she should have had a Ruined champ to help her, which leads me to...
Ruined Tryndamere: Come on, this one’s obvious. There are a few characters in the Freljord that might have fit the Ruined theme, but none more-so than Tryndamere, I think. The guy’s already got a whole thing about controlling his rage and trying to use it as a force for good in the Avarosa tribe. Imagine Viego corrupting Tryndamere and causing all of that primal fury to just explode forth. Plus, come ON Riot, Olaf vs Tryndamere. Battle of the Berserkers. Frankly, it’s absurd to me that Olaf hasn’t tried fighting Tryndamere already, given that they’re both too angry to die. He HAS to have at least heard about the Barbarian King, right?
Sentinel Riven: Honestly, this one is interesting to me. With the other Sentinels, we all kind of know/expect that they’ll return to normal once the event is over and go back to their status quo. Riven feels like an exception. As she stated herself in the event: she’s a wanted criminal in Noxus and it’s not exactly like she’d be super welcomed back in Ionia. She joins the Sentinels because she has nowhere else to go and no other cause to fight for once freed from Draven’s arena. Aside from Vayne, Riven feels like the one who’d most likely stay with the Sentinels once the event is over, even though I know that probably won’t happen. Still, I like her inclusion, all-in-all.
Ruined Draven: Honestly, not the one I would have picked. I mean, it’s just Draven. Absolutely nothing has changed from him being Ruined. Granted, I do think it’s absolutely hilarious that Draven’s worst version of himself is already just himself, an egotistical prick who craves attention, but there are way better picks in Noxus to see getting Ruined. I mean, the event teaser showed Darius getting possessed, and I think there’s a lot more to work with there. Also, am I the only one that thinks that Ruined Draven feels redundant when Soul Reaver Draven is already a thing?
Sentinel Diana: So this one I have some complicated feelings about. On one hand, it makes sense that Diana would join the fight against the undead for the sake of the Lunari. On the other, it feels like MOST of the Aspects should be getting involved with this. I mean, the VN has her say that the other Aspects ARE fighting the Undead all over Targon, but then you’d think we would wanna go and recruit them as well. Seriously, Taric? WTF are you, Protector? Also, Diana needing a Sentinel weapon is weird since we already confirmed that the Mist doesn’t like Celestial magic, but... Eh, the blade she gets is cool, I guess.
Ruined Pantheon: And here comes the controversial one... Right, so like many, I did not care for this skin. In fact, I still have reservations about it. I DO like that it is actually Ruined PANTHEON, because yeah, the Black Mist turns dead things undead. Go figure it could bring back the remnants of the war god lingering in Atreus. That’s a really cool idea, but there’s absolutely an argument to be made that it fucks with Atreus’s whole character arc and makes his seemingly indomitable will look like a joke... But hey, Viego himself said that he’d never be able to take a proper Aspect, which absolutely tracks, which kinda makes Atreus the only Targonian champion he COULD defeat and corrupt.
Sentinel Irelia: To be frank, not too much to say about this one. Irelia’s entire character motivation is defending her homeland against invaders, and... Yeah the undead definitely count as invaders. While someone like Shen probably would have been a better recruit for the Sentinels, Irelia works just fine.
Ruined Karma: And heeere’s another controversial one. Yeah, Karma is not the one I would have chosen. Honestly, just about anyone else from Ionia would have been a better fit for Ruination. Ruined Pantheon can be justified by the dead war god coming back and taking over Atreus’s body again, but Karma and her vessel Darha should have absolutely been able to resist it... And they kind of do. In the event, we actually do see Karma switching back and forth. She’s the only one we’ve seen fight back against Viego long enough to revert to her normal self, at least for a time. In fact, the implication that Darha is being corrupted while the entity of Karma itself fights back is neat. Still, I would have preferred Ruined Zed or something along those lines.
Sentinel Graves: OK, I love this skin. I don’t love the context around it. First of all, the fact that he’s the Sentinel for Piltover is dumb. Graves is from Bilgewater, and should have been the Sentinel we recruited there. I also don’t care for how Twisted Fate is completely missing and never even referenced from his story. Like, OK, Graves fled Bilgewater because it was already overcome with Harrowing. Fine. But... Did he just leave TF behind? If so, why does he have Fate’s blue card? There’s so much we’re missing here. I love that he’s joining just because he’s got a bone to pick with Viego, but Graves should have been the choice for Bilgewater. As for who should be the Piltover Sentinel? Well...
Sentinel Jayce: Think about it. Jayce is a character who’s had nothing to do in the Piltover/Zaun lore for ages. He already considers himself a hero and a defender of Piltover. Plus, imagine what a Sentinel version of his hammer would be like! Hell, Jayce’s whole conflict with Viktor revolves around their opposing beliefs around free will. Of course he’d have a word or two to say about the Ruined King, who’s running around and stripping people of their free will! On that note..
Ruined Viktor: Absolutely a perfect fit for Ruination. Under Viego’s influence, he could deem undeath as the next logical step of evolution, casting aside the limits of flesh and emotion for a spectral form where one’s thoughts were dictated by a single, “superior” consciousness. It would be a perfect contrast for Sentinel Jayce, and besides: we’ve already seen a ghostly version of this concept with Death Sworn Viktor. If Draven gets two undead skins, why not? Plus, we know that the Harrowing can effect machines thanks to Legends of Runeterra, so... Yeah. Ruined Viktor. Let’s go.
Sentinel Pyke: Another controversial one. While I like the general idea behind it, frankly, I would have just left Pyke as he is. We already have him fighting the undead in the Ruined King game, and we know Nagakabouros power can hurt the undead; there was no real need for him to pick up Sentinel gear. Much as I love the line “Wraiths, wraiths are on the list,” I would have just made Graves the Sentinel rep for Bilgewater and called it there.
Ruined Miss Fortune: This one just sucks. It absolutely sucks. The Sarah Fortune I know would have never gone to such lengths merely for power, especially when she already rules most of Bilgewater at this point. Her various short stories show her doing a pretty damn good job stamping out the warring factions challenging her rule, and even if she decided that she needed some kind of supernatural leg up on the competition, it’s not like Bilgewater is lacking in magic. Also, the design sucks, turning her back into the sex icon that they’ve spent the last 7 years moving her away from. Ruined Fortune sucks. As for who SHOULD have gotten the skin instead...
Ruined Gangplank: Now HERE’S a pirate lord desperate for power. He lost his ship, he lost his fleet, he lost his throne, he even lost an arm. Gangplank has been struggling to regain control of Bilgewater ever since Burning Tides, and while we haven’t heard much of him recently, it can be safely assumed that he’s not making much progress with how much control Sarah currently has. Gangplank is absolutely ruthless enough and immoral enough to bargain with the Ruined King for power. Plus, think about it: he’s already been “reborn” once, so to him, Ruination probably wouldn’t even be that big of a deal.
Sentinel Rengar: All things considered, I like this one. Rengar, I think, has one of the best justifications for joining the Sentinels. When Rengar’s jungle is invaded by wraiths, Rengar finds himself faced with monsters that even his skills cannot take down. Yeah, these undead are worthy prey challenging his reign as the apex predator in Kumungu, and if the Viego is their alpha, then he’s the target to go for. Now, obviously he’s still got a hunt for Kha’Zix that has yet to be resolved, but let’s be honest: we’re never going to see that rivalry conclude, and this is the most lore relevance Rengar has had in ages. I’m for this skin, though of course we do still have the issue of who in Kumungu would be a good Ruined rival for him. On that note...
Ruined Zyra: Alright, here me out. Ixtal as a region doesn’t have that many characters, let-alone good candidates for Ruination. Perhaps the best and most obvious candidate would be Qiyana, but I take issue with this for a few reasons. Firstly, accepting Ruination for the power to rule is already something we’ve done with MF/GP, and second, I don’t think the Shadow Isles aesthetic works super well with her elemental-swapping gameplay. I chose Ruined Zyra because, well, Zyra already wants to spread her plants far and wide across Runeterra, and the Mist would be a great method for carrying seeds, not to mention making her offspring harder to prune. Not the most deep, but yeah, I think Ruined Zyra would have been a cool concept to work with.
Lastly...
Unbound Thresh: A mistake. I’ve already made my opinions on Thresh’s lore abundantly clear in my rewrite for him, and this skin just destroys any hope for his character for me. This sexy E-Boy is unquestionably the worst thing to come out of the whole event, and whatever Riot is planning to do with Thresh in the future, it does NOT justify this design. Plus, the whole idea that an undead character can become “unbound” is just dumb. Like, when has it ever been implied that Thresh himself was actually bound in any way? He’s one of the few Shadow Isles entities that can freely leave the Mist, at least for a time! Yeah, this skin was a mistake, but Riot has to cash in on the simps, I suppose.
Anyways, I’ll give my thoughts on the story itself once this is all said and done, but for now, these are my takes on the individual skins. Hope you all enjoyed hearing me ramble.

"Come on, We all know he will still do it, even Marco his personal doctor banned him, after all were talking about Oyaji here" Vista said.
"I agree" Jozu said while nodding his head. Izo just sigh to himself as he is also worried to Oyaji's well being.

Marco just bring you to his room.
"Where are you planning to take me!? Ao? I mean Marco?!"

Marco just nod as a response and y/n sudden gasp and remember something that make her flustered and ashamed to herself. She only covered her chest.
"Does it mean... Even when the time I change my clothes in front of you..." Marco just recall and Blush as he apologies for unintentionally crossing the line.
"no, its fine, it was my fault for being careless, So...umm, I'm sorry for treating you like a bird that time"
"Yeah, can't blame you for that as I was making bird noise only, yoi"
"By the way, why did you bring me here with you?"
Marco just rub the back of his neck.
"I just want to asked a favor, if its okay that yoi"
"Hmm?"
"Just don't talked about the whole bird story, yoi"
"Ah, I see, sure"
Marco just sigh in relief as the two walk out of his room.
The whole crew just give them a sly grin.
Marco just glare at them while y/n just smile in returned, she wave at them awkwardly.
"Is this seriously a pirate ship, your not gonna sell me, Right? Or do something bad?"
Marco just sigh at what you asked.
"we don't do those stuff, yoi" Marco said and hope it reassure you.
"I see" y/n replied as she grin at him.
Marco just look away as he isn't never used to you smiling at his direction. It make him feel mushy inside. The moment he look away, The whitebeard pirates just gather around as they warm welcome y/n to there ship.
As soon she had interact with them, she can sense there different from the pirates she had encountered in the sea.
"I'm quite overwhelmed, To think I'm currently on the same boat with the famous Whitebeard,It's an honour to be in your presence" y/n politely said as they laugh and tell her that she didn't have to be polite nor formal with them.
Whitebeard only laugh at how formal you are. Y/n just felt embarrassed but smile at them and replied "Okay"
Thatch just put an arm around your shoulder as he offer you, A Food he had cook. He will sometimes joke about something that you laugh as you find it funny. Marco only join the fun after he had released his anger.
Whitebeard just asked Marco about how was the week with you. Marco, Of course, just give him a pretty lie.
"Gurara so your the little girl that Marco spend his whole week with, Tell me Little girl, how was My son?" Whitebeard asked.
"He was smart and a Gentleman even he is in his bird form" y/n blurted out and Like that they stop in there trance as they were curious.
"Interesting, Tell us more details,
y/n-chan about the bird form" Thatch said with a very sly grin in his face.
Y/n were going to tell them everything as she is already drunk. When Marco overheard about it, He just covered your mouth with his hand to prevent you from telling the lame truth he want to hide as his secret.
"She is clearly drunk, yoi" Marco thought still covering your mouth with his hand, when his Pops speak
"Bird? Did The two of you make love, Your too young to do stuff like that, Marco" Whitebeard unamused said before chugging his sake.
Marco just blush as he clarify himself.
"What no!We didn't do that pops!" Marco hastily replied and putting his hands up like a gesture of surrender.
"Then what, did you two do then?" Whitebeard narrowed his eyes at his son.
"We were just getting to know each other, like that yoi" Marco said. As it was the truth, y/n observed him, she research about what kind of a bird species he is, It's more like you getting to know him more.
"Your currently blushing, Marco" Izo said.
"I am not, My face is only flushed because of the alcohol in my system, yoi" Marco replied.
"Really, Doctor?" Thatch said.
"Ao and I are Friends, pretty blue bird" y/n said in her sleep as she nuzzled to Marco's chest.
They only raise there eyebrows at him.
"Getting to know, each other huh?!" they all said. Marco only face-palm at himself as the last thing he wanted is to be the tease subject of the Whole Whitebeard pirates.
"I told you, yoi, its not like that" He said.
"Hold on? Who is Ao?" Thatch asked and they look at him.
"Stop giving me the look yoi! Let me bring her to the guest room"
They only pout but comply to what Marco said as they all call it a day.

"Not that bad" Marco replied before eating.
"About y/n, Marco, Oyaji just asked if she would like to be part of the family" Izo said.
"I see" Marco said before he eat a spoonful of his breakfast again. He was still sleepy so he didn't quite understand.
"We got ourselves a sister now" Thatch happily said in front of Marco.
Marco is currently chewing the food inside his mouth. At the same time he is processing what Izo and thatch said. After processing it he spit his food and choke.
"wh-What!? Oyaji did?" Marco surprised asked.
"Why me" Thatch said as he wipe the food and spit in his face.
"I should have know, you were half asleep to understand it" Izo said offering Thatch a clean cloth to wipe the spit food in his face.

Marco just walk towards the deck, only to see how his family enjoy your accompany. It looks like you were asked about your adventures in the sea. After telling them one of the embarrassing and funny moments that happen to you.
"Gurarara, You sure have a One of a kind adventure there, Little girl"
Y/n just bashfully scratch her cheek. While Vista, Rakuyo, Fossa just laughed along with there oyaji.

"Marco, where did you find this lively girl, I like her" Whitebeard said with a laugh.
Y/n just blush and thanked Whitebeard for the compliment.
Marco doesn't know what will he react to his Dad statement. You get easily blend in to the whole crew for only a day.
And they are already in favor of you.
Marco just respond with a nervous laugh. "In the ocean, pops just drifting around yoi"
"Oh so it's love at first sight~" Haruta said. The others just smile in a very scheming way towards Marco.
Y/n just tilt her head, as she is oblivious about how Marco's siblings are to him.
Whitebeard just enjoyed seeing how his family tease each other.
" Damn it, Shut up, There is no Romance between me and her, yoi!"
"Yet" Whitey bay added and they all agree.
Marco just look like his going to produce steam of heat from his head.
"You sure guys, get along" y/n said unaware that she is involved.
"We got ourselves a cinnamon roll sister, That's so cute" they all thought and marco just neglect all of there accusation.
"you sure, Charm them all, huh... Young lady" Whitebeard said.
"I don't know... Did I? Really? I have no idea" y/n replied.
Whitebeard just chuckled at you, As he asked you again to join the family.
The whole crew just quiet down, When there dad asked you.
Y/n just thought that even in her first time to interact with them. they welcomed her like she was also part of the family. She just smile at Whitebeard and nod her head as a yes.
The whole family were delighted, As they announced "This call for a welcome feast for our new family member!" They all said in unison.

Luke Arnold Reveals Why He Moved Across The Globe To Work On The End
Tumblr media
After weeks of sexual tension and a dropped lawsuit, Kate (Frances O’Connor) and Josh (Luke Arnold) finally gave in to lust and spent the night together – with this week’s episode picking up the morning after their dalliance.
But it was all too much for the recent widower, who tragically lost his wife Beth (Brooke Satchwell) in episode one. As Kate snuck back into the bedroom to retrieve her keys after making a hasty exit, she found her lover in floods of tears, clearly struggling with his actions – not to mention embarrassed by her intrusion.
While it’s not enough for the pair to avoid a repeat encounter a few days later, Kate insists they shouldn’t carry on their affair as it’s not healthy for either of them. Famous last words?
Foxtel Insider sat down with Arnold to find out what’s going through the dashing, conflicted widower’s mind and what drew him to this unique project.
Foxtel Insider: Josh goes on quite the emotional roller-coaster over the course of the series. He’s just lost his wife and very quickly jumped into bed with her doctor. Is this all going to end badly?
Luke Arnold: It is very, very messy. Josh is so lost for most of the show that really once Beth dies he’s completely untethered. I think he and Kate both just grab on to each other in the middle of this storm. Josh was in a relationship that was as co-dependent as any before that – he’d been a carer for Beth as well as a partner, as well as planning her death and handling her estate and dealing with her family. So from going to being so close to someone like that to suddenly being very much on his own, [has left him] willing to grab on to anyone and anything.
Insider: What was it about this role and the project as a whole that made you want to be a part of it?
Luke: I was living in London at the time and was always looking for the right thing to come home for, and this just immediately grabbed my attention. The scripts just felt really brave and different and with such a strong voice. There are just so many different levels of high-stakes drama and nuance layered on top of each other that from the moment the audition came through, I was ready to pack my bags and get started. I feel like this is a role that’s harder for me to watch than anything else I’ve done, because in a lot of ways I wasn’t doing much – it’s closer to the bone with less bells and whistles and costumes and things. I was just trying to be as truthful as possible.
Insider: You’re well known for your luscious long locks. Was it your decision to lop it all off to portray Josh?
Luke: It was a weird thing where [between filming different projects] I ended up with this kind of in-between hair. We felt like Josh either needed to have long hair or we went, ‘You know what? We’ll get rid of it all.’ And I think it was actually really good for me with Josh because I think my hair wears me a lot and after playing notorious pirate John Silver [in Black Sails] and one of Australia’s most beloved rock stars [Michael Hutchence in INXS: Never Tear Us Apart] and all these characters that are larger than life, there was something about taking the hair away to play just an Aussie bloke that really left me kind of naked in a way that I think really helped me just drop in to the reality of this show.
Insider: The cast of The End is exceptional – with it a fun set to work on?
Luke: It really was and I think it has to be when you’re dealing with such heavy material. For the sake of everyone’s mental health you must buoy each other up and find the lightness. And I think it’s also just great when you have such a range of ages all working together. This was such a wide gamut of backgrounds and ages and energies that everything felt different and it’s like every location and scene had its own energy.
Insider: This series doesn’t shy away from an array of important yet often uncomfortable topics…
Luke: I think that’s where the show really shines. It’s great that there’s skin and sex and mess and it doesn’t shy away from that stuff. We need to be reminded of how ridiculous we are. We need to accept the absurdity of things or you can drown in them.
