"DO BETTER!" Says Now Televised Fanboy
He, Dash Baxter is a Phan-Stan!! It's kinda his thing. See, he's a fancy ass talk show host now. Married Paulie, moved out of Amity, actually DID something with his life. His parents? Did not approve. Long n short of it? He got kicked out.
Paulie's parents were PISSED.
Retaliated by giving him all the help he needed getting EVERY scholarship he qualified for. He went to a really nice college. Missed his girlfriend like mad. But she was off in Metropolis, terrifying weaker men. Conquering the fashion scene.
And SOMEHOW? Thanks to that long talk he had with Phantom (*incoherent fanboy gibbering noises* SO COOL!) he's worked to be... more of a LEADER, you know? Less of an asshole. Cause he's popular. People copy him. He can't be an asshole.
So, somehow, when he's punching out some try-hard that thinks he's hot shit for bullying a Nerd? He and the nerd get talking, right? Cause the guy got his glasses completely fucked up. And it's what Phantom would do.
But GET THIS? Guy's never HEARD of Phantom! Is super curious, cause he runs a small time Hero's show on the web. And, Dude? Is it your LUCKY DAY! Cause you just met THE number 1 fan of Phantom, hands down!! He makes his VERY spirited case, about why Phantom is THE best Hero to ever have lived. And this guy?
Entranced.
In AWE.
Just straight up BEGS him to join his show. Cause apparently? He was BORN for it. Which? Yeah. He HAS been giving speechs to the team for YEARS now. And Talking at fan meet ups. Leading fan meet ups. Hosting parties... actually, now that he thinks about it? He DOES do a lot of public speaking? Huh.
But still, he's about to say "no", when?
Dude mentions? He'll get to talk about Phantom.
SOLD!
It. Blows. Up. Absolutely EVERYONE is in love with his pretty face, hot bod, and STRONG opinions. But they ALSO have no idea who Phantom is! Paulie! This is CRIMINAL! Horrifying! What is going ON!?
Some bullshit information black out, apparently. At least according to her... friendly Nemesis? The Goth Dweeb. Who's engaged, apparently? So good for her. Unsurprisingly, it's too the OTHER Dweebs, but still. Bout time she started planning to drag them to a court house. She's the only one with any spine in that group! If she waited for THEM to propose?
Not even as Ghosts, man.
They'd get distracted by shiny nerd shit and whimp out.
Still... a world where NO ONE knows how Awesome, Phantom is? Not on HIS watch!
So he works it in. To every segment. It becomes "his thing". Oh? Super man saved a kitten from a tree? Cute. Well PHANTOM saved a bus full of Ghost Puppies from a shady, rouge, Goverment agency. Do BETTER, Superman!
The Flash, who is a cheap knock-off and stole his name, took down an Ice Villian? Adorable! PHANTOM stopped a Rouge WINTER SPIRIT with the help of YETI WARRIORS then assisted in giving FREE medical care for anyone who needed it! Here's a picture of him making GHOST ICE SNOWMEN for small children! Do BETTER, Knock-off!
What's THAT you say? Wonder Woman fought a GOD in down town paris?
Excellent work Wonder Woman. Flawless as always. But YOU, god-boy, are a disappointment! All that power! And WHAT do you use it for? Are you even supposed to BE here?? PHANTOM uses his power to HELP people! Is awesome and knows TONS of better gods! You're just salty you didn't make the cut!
DO BETTER!
And obviously? No one believes him. There's no record of this "Phantom" guy. The pictures look fantastical and vaguely glitchy/glowy. Not quite right. They GOTTA be photo shopped. Manipulated somehow. But? As a shtick? A fake "perfect Superhero" is kinda funny and unique.
And it's one hell of Fake Hero!
A Dead Champion? Who fights gods and monsters? Rouge agencies? Sassy and tragic? With a mysterious past? Pretty cool! There's even an Offical Comic from some guy that went to the same high-school as Baxter!
Of course, as Baxter get more and more popular? The "meme" hero, Phantom, get more well known? People get more interested in where Dash grew up. You know, just a bored Google. Maybe see if the hero was based off a local legend or something. But... huh...
The Town website?
Weirdly? Sanitized.
Like... like aggressively sanitized. All smooth edges and no details. Very "move along, citizen". Ha ha... it's part of the joke right? They get it! They'll just look up local restaurants or som-....
Wait...
Hey, guuuuys?
Are you finding ANYTHING?
And! Nothing. And I do mean NOTHING! Triggers the "oh? Secrets???" Instincts of a Hacker, like finding a hard blank wall of "KEEP OUT". Especially when it's somewhere it rightfully shouldn't BE.
All it would take? Is ONE person, of decent skills and an account on Certain Forums, getting bored enough to Google the Dude On The TV(TM)? For the GIW's lil walls to come crashing down. Because yeah, you can stop ONE hacker. Even two. Probably five or six.
But how about thousands?
Hundreds of thousands?
From every time zone. Competing. Just to see what you HAVE and don't want them to see. Maybe they do something with it, maybe they don't. But fuck it, you're being RUDE and now they're CURIOUS. And THEN? Oh. Oh holy shit.
Not a meme.
Very real.
Not a joke.
The walls come crumbling down, down, down. Ripped apart by hundreds of hands. Emails sent to every sort of agency. The JLU line inundated with emergency tips. Not a joke. Not A Joke. Holy Shit, IT WASN'T A JOKE!
Phantom is REAL!
And there, on TV, stands the Man. The signal FINALLY breaching containment. Fighting off the invading God of the week. Built like statue, hair like an aurora borealis of white fire held almost delicately in place by a CROWN of ice, a suit made of void and starlight. Inhuman. Beyond human.
Here to help.
A laugh that crackles like ice and the snap of winter, rolls through the air like coming storms, rich and somehow warm. A smile that bares teeth, yet turns so KIND when he looks upon humanity, as though we are precious and worth fighting for. A living star.
A... a once living star.
And in the center of it all? Wearing his BESPOKE, custome made, Number 1 Phan full body outfit? That's right. Dash Baxter. Ha! You fuckers doubted him! Behold his blorbo and WEEP, ya fuckin casuals! The BESTEST of boys! The FINEST of Heros! Superman? Could NEVER.
And now? The weather!

No masters or kings (Aemond Targaryen x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Aemond has issues around sex. The thought of being married to you, an angel, it's not helping.
Warnings: Angst (w/happy ending) Religious guilt, repression around sex. Kissing. Thoughts of sex, but no actual smut. Just angst and fluff.
Requested: Yup! Modern reader falls into Sept x Aemond
For as long as he could remember, Aemond had been alone. He had been an outsider to his siblings and nephews, all with a dragon. He had been an outsider to other noble children, marked apart by his distinctive features. He had been an outsider to his father's family, Rhaenyra and her children.
The loss of his eye had only exacerbated that. The girls at court were frightened by the sight of him, and he often worried about how he could secure a match. No longer activities he had found solace in, like studying and swordplay, came easily. Everything, from reading to being able to walk down the stairs without tripping, had to be relearned.
His faith in the Seven had permeated all of his childhood. His mother was the only person to pay attention to him, even if it was sometimes in a way Aemond could not appreciate. When he thought of her, his mind's eye always conjured her with a seven pointed star hanging from her neck.
Aemond had tried his best to keep her happy. She was all he had. So instead of running from his lessons and incurring on indecent behavior, Aemond had closely listened to the Septons that educated them. He had prayed daily. He had read the Seven Pointed Star and annotated its passages, committing them to memory.
Paradoxically, the time when he felt closer to the Gods was after the loss of his eye. It had been then he had truly understood what it felt like to be favored by the Seven. His faith demanded sacrifices, but always rewarded them. An eye for a dragon. The biggest dragon in Westeros.
Sacrifice will bring good things. It was a very simple lesson, but one he committed to memory regardless.
As a child, Aemond had not prayed for a dragon. Nor had he prayed to the Warrior to make him strong and able to defeat his enemies. When Aemond was a child, he had often prayed for a friend. Asking for the Maiden to send him someone kind. An angel. He had never spoken it out loud, afraid of appearing weak. Children were such cruel creatures, after all. But Aemond never forgot to ask the Maiden for it.
Aemond prayed. And suffered. And prayed, and suffered, and thought that at least this life he was leading, of loneliness and desperation and so much fear, would finally account for something. For the Gods favored those who suffered and sacrificed, and if his reward didn't come in this life, it would come in the next one.
His prayers were always the same. Each morning, before anyone else could rise except for the lowliest of servants, Aemond went to the Sept. He spent equal time in front of each of the Seven's effigy and lit a candle for them. He prayed in silence, asking of them simple things. Aemond knew he already led a privileged life, so he did not dare ask for more.
His prayers were so ingrained, he recited them with little thought. Yet, when he came to the Maiden, Aemond always fumbled. With the other Gods, he knew exactly what to ask for. But with Her, he only felt unease. So he rapidly mumbled his childhood prayer, and moved on. It had become a tradition, even if he was no longer the appropriate age to pray for friends.
Aemond knew it was the wrong thing to do. When you were praying, you were supposed to be present. To think of all the aspects of the Seven with the devotion they deserved. But when you are taught as a child to pray, it turns into instinct.
Just as someone who has trained enough with the sword barely thinks about his next move, someone who prays enough doesn't need to think about what they will ask next. It's too ingrained.
At this hour, the Sept is quiet. Aemond enjoys praying here instead of in the one inside the Red Keep. There are no court ladies around to bother him, nor an Aegon making mocking noises while he tries to pray. Despite wanting to join his mother in prayer sometimes, he just couldn't take the royal sept. It lacked the peace septs were supposed to make you feel.
He leaned down, lighting a candle before each effigy, and muttering his usual prayer.
“Warrior, give me strength.” Aemond whispered. He lit the candle and moved on. “Mother, protect my sister and my mother. Father, bring your justice upon my enemies. Maiden, bring me someone kind. An angel.” And as he kneeled to light her candle, something hit him from above.
The weight of the thing was too great for him to remain upright. Aemond was sent sprawling to the floor. His head slammed on the stone floor of the Sept, making him grunt. A woman screamed. Probably, one of the commoners visiting the Sept. They were few at this hour, most having already begun their labors. Her scream was echoed by one of another woman, and soon, hurried footsteps were nearing him.
Aemond tried to sit up, reaching a hand out to move the weight aside. What he gripped, made him fall back down.
Cloth. Cloth covering something soft, something that yielded under his hands. An arm. You. The Gods had answered his call. There was a woman right on top of him, eyes closed and expression smooth, as if in peaceful sleep. The Maiden had sent him an angel, after years of solitude and sacrifice. You were his reward.
Aemond lifted you and set you aside, on one of the benches of the Sept. A couple of the commoners hurried forward, to gape at you, but Ser Criston stopped them.
“A miracle! A miracle!” Someone was screaming, and you twitched. More and more commoners started to pour through the entrance of the Sept, all gawking and murmuring about the woman who had appeared out of thin air.
The people were bright-eyed, frenzied by the demonstration of the Seven's power. They started pushing at Ser Criston, and trying to touch Aemond and you.
Cole and Aemond exchanged looks. If no one controlled the crowd, they might very well end up being torn to shreds by them, in their frantic attempts of touching the holy being they were guarding.
Aemond unsheathed his dagger.
“I think… We need a Septon.”
You were being carried somewhere. You could tell because your head swayed with the movement, unsupported. It was giving you terrible neck pain.
“If she has fallen out of the sky, and there is no hole….”
“A miracle! A miracle! The Seven have…” Fuck, your head hurt, and the woman screaming was not helping things. You flinched, trying to curl into yourself. This felt like the worst hangover ever, and you had no leverage to avoid the noises, since you were hanging in midair.
“The Prince must be held in high regard, for clearly the Gods favor him. Thousands of people pray here daily, yet the Maiden herself answered his plea.” The man from before continued speaking.
Someone else scoffed.
“Surely, this is a bit much. The Prince is hardly…”
“Shut up, Cole.” The person who was carrying you barked. The movement his chest made when he was talking made you fearful of falling down. Despite the strength in his grip, you weighted more than a few sacks of flour or a gallon of milk. People were not supposed to carry other people for long, unless they were frat boys attempting to impress girls or some sort of soldier.
You tried to sit up, the movement making all your body ache. Where were you? Why were you being carried? The last thing you remembered was going into an occult museum with a friend.
Everyone has that one friend. The slightly witchy one who believes in ghosts and crystals and whose favorite month of the year is October. The one who likes terror movies, and scary podcasts and dragging you to haunted houses and escape rooms.
It will be fun, they said. It's an occult museum, what could possibly go wrong?
Where the fuck were they? You were so going to strangle them for getting you… Wherever you were.
“My Lady.” The man holding you said. You looked up and met a pale blue eye and an eye patch. You startled. He looked straight out of a low-budget pirate movie, all in leather. “Are you alright?”
“What happened?” You lifted your head, noticing everyone was cosplaying as medieval priests and knights. There was a sinking feeling in your stomach. The man holding you looked an awful lot like Aemond Targaryen. You would recognize that ensemble anywhere. You had read enough fanfics for it. “Is this a renaissance fair? A comic con?”
It was worth the shot. Perhaps something happened to you and you had stumbled into a comic con? But was it so easy to stumble into one? You thought the tickets for those were expensive, they surely wouldn't just let you in.
Something had happened to you and these kind cosplayers who were… Doing something decided to help you? That seemed more likely.
“No, my lady. This is Westeros. The earthly one.” The man dressed in the more expensive costume of a priest was speaking. He had an elaborate head accessory, billowing robes and some strange pentagram with way more points than usual. His voice was the one which had been muttering about a Prince, and being favored.
“What is a renaissance fair?” The man had the oddest combination of a white cloak and armor. You looked at the man and froze. He was… Oh, what was his name again? Oranges guy!
“Something they must have in the Seven Heavens.” The expensive priest answered, in a matter of fact tone. “Clearly. The Prince asked for an angel. Angels reside there.”
Your mouth was hanging open. They thought you were an angel. Holy shit. You looked down, at your scuffed sneakers and clothes. You didn't feel very angelic, but like hell if you were going to miss the opportunity of receiving royal treatment in Westeros. If you truly were here, you would rather not learn how the lower class lived.
Another priest turned to you. He was dressed as expensively as the first one, but he lacked the head accessory.
“Tell us, young lady. Were you an attendant for the Maiden? What are the Seven Heavens like?”
You panicked. Perhaps pretending to be an angel from a religion you had no clue about was not a good idea. These questions would continue, you knew it.
“Don't be ridiculous, Eustace. Everyone knows that angels can't divulge that sort of thing. It's basic theology. They come to fulfill their purpose, not to entertain fools.” The man with the head accessory spoke, as if talking to a child.
You did your best to sit up. Aemond held you more firmly, and raised his arm on your back, encouraging your head to loll towards his shoulder. You were moving inside a prehistoric looking building, corridors made from stone and decorated with tapestries. The Red Keep, perhaps.
“And what do you believe the being’s purpose to be?” Eustace asked. You did not like being referred to in such a manner, and you fought Aemond's grip a bit harsher. He merely settled you against him and kept walking, this time going up a stairwell. You squirmed.
“The Prince's wife. He prayed for a companion. That must be it.” The expensive priest, Septons they were called, now that you remembered, seemed to have become an expert on all things you. Wisely, you kept your mouth shut.
“Is that why her attire is so immodest?” The oranges guy spoke, reaching for you. He clearly noticed his Prince was struggling and hoped to relieve him of the burden. You clung to Aemond more tightly. You were honest enough with yourself to know you had many impure thoughts about him, and were not going to lose your chance.
Aemond grunted. Encouraging him to keep carrying you beyond his capabilities might not have been your best move.
“You can put me down. I can walk.” You spoke softly, trying to sound your most angelic.
“We are nearly there.” His voice sounded agitated from the physical exertion, but his tone screamed danger. It would wound his pride putting you down now, you realized. He wanted to look strong. “There is no need.”
“The Gods see all, and angels are pure beings. They do not know of such earthly concerns, for they have not been exposed to the sins of the flesh.”
“What the fuck.” You whispered to yourself, sure that you were dreaming. This was turning crazier by the second.
“That is a crass word here, my lady.” Aemond whispered to you. “You shall not repeat it.”
Safe to say, you were learning your lesson. When an occult museum artifact has a sign that says, “Do not touch” you DO NOT TOUCH.
Marrying an angel was not a part of Aemond's plans. Begrudgingly, he admitted he may have to reconsider his more violent revenge plots. Aemond had to prove himself worthy of you, and for once, worthiness did not mean prowess with a sword or riding a dragon. It meant piety.
Piety. Kindness. All the virtues that the Faith enforced and that you were made of. All the virtues Aemond felt he lacked, sometimes.
Taking his nephew's eye would not be kind. You had explained so, as if you could read his mind. You also said that Aemond should not attempt to force him to pay his debt. It had been an alarming show of clairvoyance.
That you were privy to his most secret inner thoughts should not have surprised him so. It was only further proof of your angelic nature.
Your arrival had the Kingdoms in an uproar. The Citadel had wanted to record the circumstances around your appearance, the Faith had made you pose for a portrait. Some even dared utter that perhaps Aemond was better suited to be King, since the Gods clearly favored him.
The King was displeased, but your miraculous arrival had been witnessed by too many to deny it. Aemond had been authorized to marry you, only out of sheer pressure from the High Septon. You were a hero to the man. Families who had been worshiping the Old Gods for generations now rushed to convert. Only House Targaryen remained stagnant.
Even after your marriage, Aemond struggled to catch a minute alone with you. Anywhere you went, people were currying for your attention. If it wasn't his other asking you to join her in prayer, it was some Septon asking you questions, or near mobs awaiting outside the Red Keep for you to appear on a balcony. People thought your touch was magical, that you could heal the sick and bless the innocents. Aemond had to fight to keep their hands off you.
As the wife to a Prince favored by the Seven, all thoughts of going back were stomped on. You had mentioned it once or twice, before he had married you. Going back home, you had said. Aemond understood that the earthly world was much different than where you had been from, and the homesickness that came with it, but he hoped you forgot such silly ideas. There was no way for you to go home, and if there was, he would not allow it.
In hopes of distracting you, his mother had suggested expediting the wedding. Aemond had agreed, but he had soon realized that it was not enough. While sweet and kind to him, and clearly loving, your mind still drifted to thoughts of your life before. Something stronger was needed. And there was only one stronger bond than marriage. He had to put a babe in you.
Such thing, unfortunately, was much harder than expected. To produce a child, a couple needed to lay together in ways Aemond and you had not. You were loving, pressing kisses to his lips and cheeks every chance you had, but it was a pure kind of affection. You had been told that you were his wife, and what that entailed, innocent being that you were. It didn't mean anything. You were only trying to do what you thought was needed.
Aemond didn't dare touch you. It was his right to do so, but he was unsure if it was the moral thing to do. You probably weren’t too sure of the connotations of the act and all that it entailed. Besides, was it really his right? You were no ordinary woman. You were an otherworldly being, an angel, a perfect woman carved out by the Maiden herself and sent to him to love and cherish. You were not meant to be hurt or tainted in any way.
Intercourse was dirty. It hurt maidens, and it was a sin when practiced outside the marriage bed. Despite always pleasurable to him, and sometimes to his companions, Aemond was not too sure he should submit you to it.
You were heavenly. Asking you to have intercourse with him would be asking you to roll around in the mud while wearing a white dress. It would make you earthly, change you. And you were perfect just the way you were.
Yet Aemond could not contain these… Urges. When you kissed the corner of his lips, all he could think about was grabbing you and deepening the kiss until he got to know every inch of your mouth. When you hugged him close, letting him curl around you at night and hide his face on your neck, Aemond thought of kissing and bitting and sucking the supple skin until you were writhing in pleasure. When your hand innocently grazed against his thigh, he thought of his hands squeezing your own thighs, pulling them apart to reveal your core.
It was a sinful way of thinking. He knew it was wrong of him, but he could not stop. He could not control it. If only his waking thoughts were sinful, things would be different. Waking thoughts could be controlled. Dreams could not.
Every night, without fail, Aemond woke up drenched in sweat, breeches uncomfortably tight. He saw you in his dreams, in all sorts of lurid positions. Your pretty lips parted, your thighs fluttering open and closed like the wings of a butterfly. You on your knees, back, your bosom spilling from your bodice, your pretty breasts, nipples puffy. His mouth, his hands, his cock, on you, in you.
The dreams were pleasurable while they lasted, but as soon as Aemond woke up and saw you sleeping peacefully next to him, the guilt returned. You let out the tiniest puffs of air when you breathed, and always chased his warmth on cold nights. Adorable being that you were, you curled into him, unaware of the turmoil you caused.
Aemond could no longer take it. At first, he tried looking for answers to his dilemma inside of books. He soon found out his studies of philosophy and history had not prepared him for the monster that was theology.
So he asked for advice. To the only person who had to be an expert on the topic. The High Septon.
By the end of the day, a panel with four Maesters and ten Septons had been formed to discuss the issue.
“She is a pure being. The Queen and a Septa have confirmed that she has female anatomy, but having it does not mean she should be defiled.” One of the Maesters spoke, frowning. Aemond nodded along. It had been like he thought.
“It's hardly defiling if the Maiden gifted her to the Prince. She blessed the union.” The High Septon argued, sitting straighter in his chair. He clearly was uncomfortable at the thought of Maesters, of all people, interfering in these matters. What Aemond could not figure out was why the man had invited them if they clearly ruffled his feathers.
“The Maiden is a maiden. That's the whole point.” Another Maester rolled his eyes. It was a sound logic. Aemond felt even guiltier after hearing that. Thinking about you in such a manner was impure. You were a representative of the Maiden herself, here on Westeros. Even thinking of such dirty things near you was disrespectful. It was as if he were thinking them about the Maiden herself.
“Well, yes, but if you ask for a wife, is it not implied?” Septon Eustace chimed in. Aemond had never particularly enjoyed the royal Septon, but he was proving to be very useful. “I do not presume to know how the Prince words his prayers, nor do I think I can know his intentions, but…”
A companion. Someone kind. The prayer had started innocent enough, a child asking for a friend. Aemond had kept it worded exactly as it had been back then, when he was eight years old and dragonless. But he had grown, and so had his intentions. When he spoke of a companion, did he still think of a friend? Or rather, a wife?
The word companion indicated someone that assisted, that served to cater to a necessity. Not quite a friend, but someone to ward off loneliness. A somewhat inferior being, even. It was a term used to refer to pets, after all.
Women were precious beings. Images of the mother, to be treasured and protected, but never equals. Wives were, after all, lower than husbands. It was why they must be obedient to them, why they should mind the children and the home. They were not made to stand on their own. Women were made to stand next to a man.
Besides, wasn't it interesting? The Gods could have sent him a man. A boy. A dog. But instead, they had sent him a woman near his age, with pretty eyes and a tempting mouth.
“Hardly.” A Septon interfered. “There has been precedent of marriages that…”
“Marriages declared null.” The High Septon snapped. His mood was a reflection of the room. The conversation was starting to turn more and more heated, murmurs breaking out among the gathered. It brought uncomfortable memories of the day Aemond had met you and had to fight a frenzied mob. He had the feeling this was going to turn into that quickly.
Perhaps sensing the same, another Maester spoke.
“Why don't we ask her? She must know the Seven's will in the matter.”
Neither of the fourteen other men in the room had thought of that.
When Aemond asked you, timidly, if you wished to consummate the marriage, you could have danced from joy.
You had decided early on that if going back was not an option, you were going to make the most of your stay here. You missed your family and friends, but your life here was so pampered that you didn't feel so bad. Any quirks of behavior that you had were excused as part of your angelic nature, and you had the biggest crush on the man who had married you.
If only Aemond didn't refuse to even touch you. So far, you have tried everything. You have kissed him. Stroked him. Cuddled far too close to him, so you are nearly on top of him. Groped his thigh, almost his cock. Your behavior has bordered on indecent even by modern standards, yet Aemond dismisses it all as innocent. He is either the most oblivious man on the planet or he doesn't want you.
That suspicion had given you pause. If Aemond did not want you, you weren't about to force him to do so. You had stopped with your insistent touching, and went back to light kisses on the cheek. Instead, you had made the mistake of looking around.
You are so horny it's driving you mad. Being married in Westeros is not what you thought it would be. You expected much more sex. Besides, everyone here was insanely good-looking, especially the man sleeping next to you and waking up every morning with a raging erection. Anyone with a sliver of a libido would be frothing at the mouth and clawing at walls from horniness.
In your other life, you had watched HOTD and understood the message clearly. Despite being a common occurrence, cheating was not a good idea. There were no reliable contraception methods and no way of preventing STDS.
Even if you were not aware of all the possibles consequences of cheating from your knowledge about the show, you now knew Aemond. He was terrifying, devout, and hated his bastard nephews. You did not want to see what he would do if he caught you cheating.
So here you were. Into forced chastity and perpetually horny, with your husband asking you if you thought it was a good idea to consummate the marriage.
You could have jumped from the bed in your haste to show him exactly what you thought. But you had to maintain your air of an otherworldly being. Which you technically were, since this was not your world.
“Whichever you think best, my Prince.” You answered, voice soft and patient. Just as you had always spoken in his presence. It had done wonders to make Aemond seek your company. He found you soothing, or so he said.
Aemond reached forward. His hand cupped your cheek, very gently. You looked up at him with your most innocent eyes.
He lowered his hand, shoulders slumping in defeat. You tried not to let it show how much it hurt you to have all you wanted dangled in front of you and then taken away.
“I cannot touch you. Nor should I lust after you. You are…” Aemond’s eyebrows pinched together. His face showed an inner conflict that made your own heart soften. Perhaps he had grown to care for you, in the ways you wished he did. He just didn't think it appropriate.
You stepped closer. This time, it was your hands that cupped his face. Aemond's eye closed, briefly. He seemed to be enjoying the touch, committing it to memory.
“Kiss me.” You whispered, pulling him close. Aemond went into the hug, nuzzling your hair. Despite the sweetness with which he responded, his frame was tense. “Please. I beg it of you.”
“I can't. I can't defile you.” He sounded truly strained. You rubbed his back, gently. “ A perfect being, such as yourself, does not deserve this.”
“It won't hurt. I know how to do it.” You explained, softly. Perhaps he worried about hurting you, you thought. You were no blushing virgin, but Aemond did not know that.
“Of course. You are an enlightened being. But it does not mean you have to put that into practice. You must know of the mysteries of death, yet you have not hurt anybody.”
“Because killing is wrong.” And truly, it was a ridiculous comparison. Sex had not killed anyone, at least that you knew of. It was not meant to hurt.
“Sex is, too. It's only for making heirs, and I am a second son. I don't need heirs.”
And by the look of his face, Aemond really believed what he was saying. The thought of him suffering, of being so deeply repressed, hurt you. You understood well how damaging thinking about sex in that way could be.
It hurts you more to think it might have been exacerbated by you. The thought of you being this perfect soul, someone so pure and easily hurt, and then the thought of tainting you. It said a lot about his mental health.
You vowed then you would aid you in any way you could.
“It's not wrong.” You whispered, and moved slightly back from his embrace. “Let me show you.” And you were kissing him, and Aemond was kissing back. His lips were soft, and he held you as if you were the most delicate glass vase he had ever held. You understood him now. And one day, Aemond would understand this too.

the raging wind blew neteyam's long braids as he rode his ikran, soldiers following behind him as they made their weekly hunt.
neteyam's ears flicked from the wind, his loincloth and feathered vest blowing gracefully.
neteyam called out to his warriors, circling in on an animal pack.
however, as they were beginning to land their ikrans, a call came in through the ear piece the group were wearing.
"neteyam- it is y/n. she has gone into labor."
neteyam's body froze once he heard lo'ak speak. his heart was pounding as the men and women looked at their leader, waiting for his word.
"continue with the kill."
his command was quick as he took off, ikran roaring as the banshee felt neteyam's nerves. he hadn't noticed his shaky hands and pounding heartbeat, his focus on getting home to you.
he landed quickly in the high camp, surprised there aren't more people panicking.
"where is y/n?" neteyam asked one of the people. the girl just shrugged back in response, watching neteyam take off.
"neteyam!" lo'ak caught sight of his brother. they both ran towards each other.
"where is she?" neteyam rushed.
"over here, c'mon, bro!" lo'ak lead his brother.
"i'm having a baby!" he announced to the clan, excitement taking over his long body.
people whooped and cheered, the women and children cocking their head at the olo'eyktan.
there had been no sign from eywa of you having your child, being only eight months along.
"code blue! code blue!" lo'ak ran with his brother, their large feet padding against the stone ground.
"or pink if it's a girl." neteyam happily slapped his brother's shoulder.
the tent was getting closer, neteyam pausing to grab some fresh water for you. his excitement was turning into nerves as lo'ak looked at his hesitant brother.
"what is wrong?" he asked, confusedly walking up to neteyam.
"it's finally happening... and i-"
"what is finally happening?"
your gentle voice scared both the brothers, your bulging belly appearing from the tent.
"my love- aren't you supposed to be in labor?"
neteyam's giant hand placed itself on your belly, feeling your baby kick against his palm.
"what?" you asked, your brow bow furrowing at your mate.
"oh my eywa- lo'ak i told you! it was just a kick!"
neteyam's ears fell flat as he looked between you and his little brother, the future uncle now blushing from embarrassment.
you rolled your eyes at lo'ak, feeling neteyam's hand travel down near the band of your loincloth. he stood on his knees, face by your tummy as he kissed your belly button.
"you gave sempu (daddy) a scare, baby."
"mhm." you playfully rolled your eyes, softly punching lo'ak in the arm.
"hey!"
the surrounding clan members whom where excited to welcome their future olo'eyktan or tsahik frowned from lo'ak's false rumor.
"that is the second false alarm this month!" a child pouted.
"alright people, nothing to see here." lo'ak pushed away the crowd as they went back to their tasks.
"darling, i know you are nervous. i am too, but that was a bit too much." you cupped neteyam's face as he stood now, slightly towering over you.
your pregnancy made your height shrink slightly, going from 8'8 to 8'6. neteyam kissed your forehead, standing at 9'4.
"i am sorry, i am just scared."
you rubbed your belly as your made pulled you into his embrace.
"i have seen you with tuk and the children, ma neteyam. you are going to be an amazing father."
neteyam reassuringly smiled.
"i will be right here with you every step of the way."
and once the baby did come, neteyam was calmer than ever (on the outside, not internally).
this was so cute omg

Wrong Number 3
(2:21 am) I just realized something (2:21 am) Ur a cooking teacher (2:22 am) Who can't fry a egg (2:23 am) You're a fraud 🫵
[7:29 am] I can fry an egg just fine I just can't make the yolks runny. It's too hard to time it right. And why are you up thinking about eggs at 2 am?
(7:47 am) I was up thinking about you at 2 am
Steve felt his stomach flip as he sipped his coffee and set his belongings down in his classroom. Eddie didn't play games. He always said exactly what he was thinking. And it drew Steve wild.
(7:48 am) And about how your students might clown on you for not being able to scramble an egg
[7:49] Aww you're worried about me?
(7:49 am) Kids can be little monsters (7:50 am) Actually how old are the little monsters you teach?
[7:51] Youngest is 6 and oldest is 14. Speaking of, they'll be arriving soon so...
(7:52 am) Godspeed you academic warrior
Eddie didn't typically text so late on weeknights. Not since learning Steve was a teacher. It was just that he truly HAD been up and thinking of him. Steve drove him crazy and he thought he was doing a good job keeping a lid on it. 2 am texts were what happened when the lid got loose but Steve didn't seem put off by it.
At about half past three, Steve called him. Eddie was glad he made that leap with his first call. The sound of Steve's voice never failed to warm him through. Eddie was in the middle of collecting axes for sharpening at the end of his shift.
"What's cookin' good lookin'?", Eddie greeted as he picked up.
"Today was good. Had a really riveting conversation about meatloaf versus pate with the kids", Steve said.
"Meatloaf rocks and pate is just cold meatloaf for rich people. End of discussion."
"Well, we talked about it for like fifteen minutes. Had a real interesting tangent on forcemeats in general."
Eddie paused. "Excuse me?"
"You'd be surprised at what kids are into. This one I taught last year was really into rice-"
"I need you to backtrack just a bit. 'Forcemeat'?"
"Yeah it's-oh grow up", Steve chided while shaking his head. He had just gotten home and was taking off his work clothes for something more comfortable. He thought about what Eddie might think he'd look nice in. "Not even my 12 year olds are this childish."
There was something about the way Steve talked about his students. Like they were his actual children. The conversation continued for a few minutes more before Steve suddenly had to hang up. Eddie tried not to think much of it, but it wasn't the first time that it had happened.
Steve ended the call just as Robin came into the apartment. She narrowed her eyes at him, then looked to the phone in his hand. Steve hid it behind his back and winced at practically telling on himself.
"You're hiding something."
"No I'm not."
"And now you're lying to me."
"No I'm not!"
Robin pounced and wrestled him for the phone. It wasn't a real fight of course. Steve could've pinned her in seconds but a part of him was tired of keeping the secret. And obviously, she knew how to unlock his phone.
"Who's Eddie?", she asked, sitting on his back triumphantly.
"A guy."
"Thank you, I had no idea it could be a man's name. You've been texting him aaaaaaa llllllllllllot."
"Are you reading them!? Robin!"
"Where did you meet him?", Robin said as she got up, continuing to read through their conversations.
"I um, technically, haven't. Yet."
Robin gave him an odd look and Steve spilled everything to her. To her credit, Robin listened to the full story before throwing one of the couch pillows at him.
"Stephen Elliott Harrington! Did no one teach you stranger danger? You just kept texting him? And calling? And I saw the pictures you sent. You know he can find out where we live? What if I came home to your skinless corpse??!"
It went on for a while like that and when Robin was finished, she collapsed onto the couch. Steve sat across from her on the coffee table. He waited for her to silently process it all.
"You think he's cute?"
"What I've seen of him, yeah."
Robin sighed. "I can't believe you're turning into the guy who has a internet girlfriend."
Steve rolled his eyes but then balked when she started to read through his messages again.
"And I can't believe you haven't even started flirting yet."
"I've been flirting with him the whole time!" Maybe not the whole time but-
"You're giving him Diet Steve. Why are you holding back?"
Steve shrugged, looking sheepish now. Now Robin was rolling her eyes.
"Steve, we're getting you a date."
"But he's-"
"A virtual one. Jesus is he an axe murderer?", Robin said as she looked to one of the texts.
"No, he just works with them. Axes! Not murderers."
--------------------------------
Eddie was about to sit down to a movie when his phone buzzed.
[5:17 pm] Thinking about you.
Oh. Now that was some text to get.
(5:18 pm) Oh yeah? (5:18 pm) What about me?
Steve looked to Robin. They were sitting cross-legged next to each other on his bed.
"What do I say?"
"Be honest, duh."
"If I'm honest I'm gonna talk about his hands."
Robin shook her hands at him like she wanted to wring his neck. Steve got the idea and decided to put himself out there.
[5:21 pm] Your hands. I think about them a lot actually
Eddie had not given his own hands much thought. But knowing that Steve admired them, he gave them a second look. He thought about them gripping Steve's thighs.
(5:23) You're gonna make me blush (5:24) What would you do with my hands Stevie?
Steve panicked and looked to Robin. "Are we sexting? Is he getting me to sext?"
"That's the idea, dingus. I said I was getting you a date. Now tell him what you want him to do."
"I don't know I'd....I'd want to..." Steve trailed off, looking at his phone while the fingers of his other hand brushed against his lips.
Robin stole the phone from him again and started typing. "'First...I'd suck..on them'."
"Robin!"
"Is that not what you want?"
Steve shrugged and Robin continued. "You've got me on the clock for five more minutes before I go out. You dictate, I'll type."
Steve hated how much he liked the idea. Especially when he heard the ping of Eddie's reply. "What did he say?"
Robin cleared her throat. "'Yeah? You wanna suck on them? I bet you got a beautiful mouth.' Oh he's good."
"Yeah", Steve breathed out. "Really good." He thought about Eddie sticking his fingers in and pressing down on his tongue, his rings tasting metallic and so nice.
"'I wanna choke on them'", Robin said out loud as she typed. "Is it too soon to call him Daddy?"
"What?!" That snapped Steve out of it.
"Oh come on. Tattoos, the hair, his job. He wants to be called Daddy."
"Robin don't call him Daddy."
"Pops?"
Steve took his phone from her and looked to Eddie's reply.
(5:30 pm) I'd only choke you if you were being bad (5:30 pm) Are you gonna be bad baby?
[5:31 pm] Maybe. I can be good too. So good.
(5:32 pm) Lemme call you baby wanna hear you
Steve dialed without hesitation just as Robin was leaving. Her work was done.
"Don't get murdered while I'm out!", she shouted just as Eddie picked up.
"Hey pretty baby", Eddie said.
"Hey. You said you wanted to hear me?"
"Yeah. I wanna hear you say those things with your own voice."
"Like how I wanna choke on your fingers? Among other things?"
Steve could hear Eddie let out a breath on the other end. The power he felt right now was intoxicating.
"Bet you'd look so good on your knees."
Steve hummed while pressing his fingertips to his lips. If Eddie asked, he'd suck on them. Let the wet noises fill his ears, let Eddie know how good he could be.
"Darlin' you went quiet."
"I'm thinking", Steve said, laying down on his bed. "I wanna show you, Eddie."
Eddie swallowed. This man would be the death of him. He'd nearly jerked off to just a picture of his fully clothed lower half. If he saw more...if he saw everything-
"Eddie! We've got a Code Red!"
"Jesus! Knock!"
Steve sat up quick at the shouting coming from Eddie's end. It sounded like someone had barged in.
"Eddie?"
"Sorry. Sorry Steve. I gotta handle something. Um, call you back? Please?"
"Eddie, I want to video call you."
"V..video...?"
"Yes. I wanna see you. Please."
"Yes. Yes, a thousand times-hold your horses! Uh, tomorrow? It's Saturday, so you're free, right? Can we make it a date?"
"A date", Steve nodded. "I'll see you then. I'll be thinking of you."
"And I'll be counting the seconds. 1-one thousand, 2-one thousand, 3-one th-ouch! Okay! Damn!"
Eddie hung up and Steve still had the phone to his ear, smiling. He had a video call date. He had a date with Eddie!
Shit what should he wear?

A Wedding
Tumblr media
Elder Yautja x Reader
Warning: suggested smut
Summary: Wedding ceremony with an elder Yautja.
You knew your wedding will be different.
You have seen many weddings throughout your time with the tribe, but all who got married were younglings.
You were betrothed to an elder.
It was rather unusual for elders to get married so late. Usually by this time they would have taken a mate or multiple wives.
Not J'rik'au though.
It was as if he was waiting for you.
His status was shown by the respect he got from the others.
You have loved him from the moment you saw him. He was amongst the many who encouraged humans to join the Yautja world. Where they no longer hunted humans but joined forces.
Weddings were a good occasion for union.
But not many humans were willing to marry.
There were a few but not a lot.
However, as soon as you saw J'rik'au, you were done for.
He started courting you the traditional way not long after you and a couple other humans arrived to his tribe. While the other humans left, you never did.
You accepted his affection and soon, he asked you to become his wife.
And so, you were preparing for your wedding.
A very traditional Yautja wedding. Which you barely knew anything about, but you didn't care.
You knew he will have to prove himself to you as a worthy male through hunting.
So, for the last couple of days, he has been gone, looking for a worthy kill.
It was a very different wedding, but you liked it. You were waiting for him under a beautifully decorated gate.
You were fully dressed in a flowy material and your neck and shoulders were decorated with bones.
A female explained to you it was from your groom's previous kills. Assembled by him, as per tradition.
You asked her, how can you prove your worth to J'rik'au, after all, marriage had to be a two way street but she laughed.
In Yautja society, the only thing a female, who is not a warrior, has to prove is gifting children, strong children to their mate.
What if you couldn't? Yautja didn't believe in such a thing.
And so, now, you were standing there, waiting for him and soon his ship landed. He was unhurt of course, and in his hand was a huge monster's head. You have never seen a head like that. It was huge so you could only imagine the size of the actual beast. He placed it in front of you as he knelt down.
The fact that he was an elder didn't mean he was old. Not at all. His senses were still sharp and the fact that he came back from the hunt, unhurt was proof of that.
He did have a couple of cuts and bruises but mostly he was unhurt.
As you looked at him kneeling, you caught one of the females motioning for you to go to him.
J'rik'au was asking for your approval. Without it, he failed to prove his worth as a male. With it, he will be able to marry you. That is what the gate was for. For both of you to walk through it and start your lives together.
Of course, you accepted the kill.
Everyone around you cheered as you both walked your way to celebrate.
Weddings were very different but in a good way.
Celebration was also held, after all, their elder did find their mate. So, a great feast was planned. Everyone in the tribe paid tribute via gifts.
But you couldn't be happier.
A smile never left your face as he always held you close.
Traditionally, after the celebration, you two went back to your home.
Now, with a brand new bed, covered in new furs, he laid you down.
It was Yautja custom, much like after human weddings for the couple to go on their honeymoon. The difference was that while people on Earth usually travelled, Yautja shut themselves into their homes with their mates.
This was not for the female to get pregnant, this was for the newly married couple to spend some time together. The tribe would provide food for them, so the male doesn't have to leave.
For them, this was to ensure that the couple is happy together and would have a fulfilling life together.
J'rik'au took really great care of you.
Even if this wasn't the first time the two of you had sex, this felt different. He was always caring and attentive, but now, he was even more so.
He didn't let you leave the bed, he carried you if you had somewhere to go in the house.
J'rik'au proved that he would be an amazing husband even before you agreed to marry him.
And he was doing just that. Being an amazing husband.

When The Time Comes ( 1. )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⇀ ( II. ) ( III. )
Sully family x Sully!reader, oc x Sully!reader
IN WHICH the future Tsahik of the Omaticaya and oldest daughter of Jake and Neytiri, Y/N has always carried the heavy weight of future duties. Her trouble making antics can only aggravate her relationship her family...and somehow drive her to meet a certain grumpy Omaticayan.
Warnings: use of Y/N ONCE, literally.
The OC [Mo’rata] faceclaim <-
WC: 6k
A/N: YALL IK THAT THE PIC IS A FEMALE NAVI but it's just a face claim so who cares. plus we love ourselves an androgynous queen. ANYWAYS ENJOY😋
Tumblr media
Ever since Neytiri had given birth to you, your parents had known that you would be a mighty child. Jake could already picture the future little warrior that you would become. Though it wasn’t something that he wished upon you, because he and Neytiri knew of the dangers of war more than anybody else.
Although when your first instinct was to grab onto one of his locks with a force that he ignored a newborn could even possess, he knew that he had nothing to worry about. The Sully genes ran thick in your blood.
Neytiri’s yellow eyes glistened as she observed you, so innocent yet not frail. You were a strong baby, blessed by Eywa herself with a strong soul. Mo’at said that she could feel it, as well as your connection with Eywa herself.
Soon after, your little family welcomed their first born son into their arms. With open arms and an open heart, Neteyam had become your brother. He was worshipped and presented under the many eyes of the Omatikaya as they chanted his name in joy, just like they had done with you.
Jake watched as his babies went from the pure chubby bundles of joy that they were into the fine warriors that they were today. Soon enough, he watched as his family grew. From his firstborn to his second child, to his now big family of 7. He did often happen to miss when you all were just toddlers, innocent children shielded from the wrath of war and duties. Innocent children who would attempt to run away from his inescapable grip as he tickled them relentlessly.
“What did I say before leaving? You are spotters, all of you!” your father began to scold you and both your brothers, Neteyam and Lo’ak, as soon as your Ikrans had reached the platforms.
“And you,” he pointed towards your frame and your ears downturned at his judgement. “I told you to keep an eye on your brothers and all you did was disobey again. What you did today was foolish and dangerous!” he seethed and Neytiri side-eyed him when he raised his voice a little too high. His eyebrows furrowed from anger as he glared at your unwavering form.
“Did you hear me?” he hollered, which momentarily broke your composure as you looked away from his blazing glare.
“Yes, sir.” Neytiri sighed at the subtle mocking tone in your answer. He was about to counter before Neytiri thankfully came at your rescue.
“Ma Jake, Your son is actually bleeding…”
Jake sighed as he ran a hand across his face, features pinched in stress. He did not wish to face his unruly daughter now, but he knew that he had to.
“Go get your brothers treated now won’t you, you might as well do that right.” He sneered as Neytiri smacked him across the back of his head. Lo’ak look down in guilt as he was now victim of your sharp glare. You everted your eyes back to your father to speak but he beat you to it. “And take that shit off your face.” he jabbed at your warrior's face paint.
“I’m sure they can treat themselves their own, since they’re independent enough now.” You raised your eyebrows towards your younger brothers, which they only shrunk under your gaze.
They knew not to take it to heart and that you did not particularly mean what you were implying. Well maybe just a little, and siblings fought all of the time anyways. It was not new to them.
Though this time it was truly your brother’s fault. He was the one that had decided to run off to grab a gun and he was the one that had gotten you all injured in the first place. Neteyam had tried to argue with him at first but nonetheless joined him in the hunt for a weapon after following him to the ground.
You mounted your Ikran once more before setting off, escaping your duties once more as your family was left to wonder where you had escaped to this time.
-
Your Ikran had left to rest nearby about a few minutes prior. Meanwhile, you were busy exploring the bioluminescent vegetation around you. Oftentimes brushing your hands across the large variation of non-toxic plants that littered the forest.
You were in search of a certain type of berry, one that was only found in deeper regions of the forest. Despite its rare shares, the fruit is one of the most desired desserts in the forests of Pandora, known for its sweet and unique taste. You were aware that your siblings all adore the delicacy, and you were searching for a way to pardon yourself for your previous absences. Soooo…..
After 20 minutes of searching, you had found no sign of the berry nearby, though you had found a litter of Viperwolf cubs. At first you did not wish to have anything to do with the cubs, no matter how adorable you found them. Solely because of the fact that their mother was standing right besides them, and you did not want to unnecessarily kill one of Eywa’s creation if she decides to attack you. Though when the cubs found their own way around your legs while nearly tripping you, their mother had not dared to move - deeming you a trustable Na’vi.
You still knew better than to try and pet her though.
Before you could even kneel down to pet the cubs, a new presence had rushed past you by force, knocking you over. The cubs all whined as they ran back to their mother, who she recognized the scent of a hunter amongst thousands of others. So she ran, taking her pups away and leaving you to deal with this stranger.
Upon first glance you had not recognized the man, though it had nothing to do with the fact that all you were greeted with was the simple sight of his bare back. You growled at the audacity of this rude stranger, ears pointing up in displeasure.
“Look at what you have done, you successfully ruined today's hunt. Marvellous job!” The stranger sneered. He had a rough voice that matched his sharp personality really well.
“We do not even consume Viperwolves..” you stated, although it came out sounding more like a question.
“We eat whatever we can catch, it does not matter if ‘we do not consume’ them or not.” he mocked you with his snarky comment. Your face twisted to one of disgust at the idea of this man eating something such as a thanator, those things just look exteriorly expired.
The stranger kneeled down on one knee besides the previous viperwolf nest. He slid a finger on the paw print engraved in the dirt, bringing it close to his eyes to inspect. You watched with curious eyes at the huntsman’s antics, just as he huffed in annoyance.
“You didn’t just ruin today’s hunt, but a delicious meal too at that.” he paused for a moment before turning around to you. Your eyes widened at him, seemingly he was nothing of what you had expected.
He was about a head taller than you as he stood up high on both of his feet, his stance was intimidating but you did not falter. He held a muscular and well defined build, props to all of the training that he must’ve endured. He tilted his head to the side with a scornful grin as you checked him out, but you were not affected by his teasing.
His broad shoulders and toned stomach could make any Omatikayan woman lose their footing. Unfortunately for him, his facial features only seemed to repulse or frighten them away. Your round yellow eyes traced his sharp jawline, which was a common trait in most Na’vi. Although for some reason, none of them had ever entranced you as much as his had.
He scoffed as you continued to check him out, turning around after he had gotten enough of your staring. The unexpected sound of your laughter however, got him to turn around once more. His eyebrows furrowed in puzzlement.
“Is the almighty stranger afraid of a woman's gaze?” you poked at his ego but truly, yes he was. His pride was too big for him to agree with you, so he simply rolled his yellow iris at your taunting.
At his lack of response, you decided that you were not quite done with your teasing. You approached him while maintaining secure eye contact, getting all up in his personal space as you stood right ahead of him. His breath hitched at the closeness, but his deep scowl would not give him away.
He watched impatiently as your eyes scanned his features once more. From his notched ear to the many size-ranging scars that cluttered his face, a proof that he was a full time huntsman. He had what seemed like charcoal powder around his eyes, adding to his already intimidating look.
“Quit staring, you demon. I've got to catch up to that prey that you drove away.” He grumbled as he shoved you away, curtly using one hand to push at your shoulder while the other one gripped harshly at his bow.
You were left speechless at his comment, how dared he? Him, a simple labourer, insulting you (and subtly your family too).
“Aye skxawng, do you even know who you’re talking to?” you tilted your head towards him, nose scrunched up at his rudeness.
“Everybody knows who you are, your family is filled with demon hybrids. I’m sure that your family name is well spoken of in other clans as well.” he bashed and backtracked to leave once more but your airplane ears and furrowed eyebrows should have told him that something was coming for him.
You ran up to him before shoving his shoulders back with force, bearing your canines at him in a venomous hiss. Another thing that you had acquired from your mother was her assertiveness.
“You will not disrespect my family, you got it? or else I'll deal with you myself, scum!” you spat, and as much as he liked getting a rise out of you, he knew better than to add fire to the flame. He knew of your achievements as a fighter, because honestly, who didn’t? He could despite your family of demons all he wanted but he had to come to terms with the fact that those same exact demons were ruling his clan.
The man raised his hands in mocking surrender as a wicked grin overtook his expression. You refrain yourself from personally going over to punch that look out of his face as he leaves. You too had decided that you had stayed out too late, and that your family was probably starting to get worried.
But just there, from the corner of your eyes had you spotted it. recognizable from it’s beautiful red color, a Sarisa berry bush.
-
Later that night at dinner, your seat had remained vacant once more. There was a loud-silence that filled the room and the tension was thick enough to be sliced through with a dagger. Tuk volunteered in an attempt to soothe everyone’s nerves by giving them a free ‘concert’, which she ended up getting all of her siblings present to join in. Soon enough, the Sully’s tent was filled with laughter and loud chanting.
Your father however was left to sulk in his corner, fingers working precisely on threading his damaged arm band. He just couldn’t pinpoint when things had begun to fail with you. He knew as much as the countless times that he had scolded you during your youth. For things like you sneaking away during eclipse to go play with nearby Viperwolf cubs. Or in moments where you had stupid fights with neighbouring Na’vi children.
Though when you grew to understand the duties that were to be thrown upon you once you were to grow up, you began running off more often. Disobeying the strict orders that the other Sullys were deemed to adhere to. It was harsh for the younger you, you liked being free and careless. Not overwhelmed with responsibilities.
Neytiri had tried to reason with you, telling you that everyone had responsibilities and that it was inevitable. You understood that, really, but the responsibilities of the Tsahik and of a normal Na’vi were far different. She tried telling you that your father meant the best for you, that his scolding was because he cared for you, but after you continued with your antics - she found herself siding with her mate more.
You did not find any interest in a healer’s job, and you knew that as Tsahik, that would be a part of your everyday life. You were a fighter, like your mother and father, like your brothers.
She was keen and observing, because she was a mother and leader after all. She had noticed how you begin distancing yourself more after the birth of your latest sister, Tuktirey. She deemed that it was perhaps a bit of jealousy and that it would falter soon after you had met your sister.
It wasn’t that you hated your sister, never that. You loved Tuk with your whole existence and there’s never a day that passess by where you don’t tell yourself that you would sacrifice everything for her, much like your mother had promised herself for you.
You were just overwhelmed with everything, and sometimes you did truly envy your sisters for their lack of chores. Sometimes you wished that Kiri was bound to become Tsahik, because you knew that her connection with Eywa was pure and incredibly strong. You had seen it with your own eyes when she had asked you to come to the forest with her. Everyone saw it.
When you made your appearance in your family’s tent, a toothy smile consumed your face as you watched with joy as your family was bonding. You approached them with little to no stealth, in a failed attempt to scare them.
At the sight of you, Neytiri’s ears raised in happiness. She was happy to see her girl back home, all safe and by the sight of the warm smile on your face, recognizably happy. Lo’ak spotted you first, but remained quiet as he saw you sneaking behind the little Tuk. Who she, was busy hitting all the high notes.
She was cut off by a squeal as you pinched her sides, using little force to pull her lightweight figure into you. Her loud giggles filled the room as you turned her around in your arms, holding her up on your hips with one hand while the other wrapped around her smaller back.
“You are back.” Kiri beamed at you, before standing up from her spot to join you in yours.
Jake watched as Tuk’s feet accidentally brushed against the burlap sack that was attached to your hip. A singular Sarisa berry falling from it. You younger siblings eyes widening at the sight, all rushing towards you as Tuk struggled to wiggle out of your grip.
Your laughter filled every inch of the tent as you threw your head back in laughter from your sibling’s reactions. Neteyam looked down with flushed cheeks as he was embarrassed by his childish behaviour.
“Here, you can all have a few,” you revealed as you opened your sachet filled with the berries. Their eyes practically glowed as you allowed them to take their fair share. Neteyam gave your head a loving pat, despite being younger than you, he always acted like he was the oldest.
Neteyam was responsible and wise, truly the golden child of the family. Sometimes you resent yourself for taking the Olo’eyktan chance from him because you had been born first. He was always quick to reassure you that he didn’t care and that in his eyes, you’ll always be the best warrior. The love you held for your brother was beyond the length of the lands of pandora. For the rest of your family as well.
Kiri thanked you sweetly before going back to her spot, and Lo’ak being Lo’ak, just grabbed more than he should’ve and took off running before you could scold him for it.
You looked back down at Tuk that had already passed out of your chest, sticky residue left around her mouth as she had been stealthily stealing more fruits while you were talking to your siblings. You scavenged around the tent for a spare piece of cloth as you found one near a bucket of water, exactly what you needed. You swiftly dipped the cloth in the bucket, squeezing the excess water as best as you could with one hand before bringing it back up to clean your little sister's fruity mess.
You silently thanked Eywa as Kiri had volunteered in taking Tuk into her care until they all went to sleep. You slipped the bag off your waist before moving to where your parents sat, legs crossed on the floor.
You shoved the bag next to them as you offered them their share. There wasn’t much left because of your devious siblings, but it was just dessert after all. After waiting too long for them to react you grabbed your fathers hand as he watched you, his ears flicking back in surprise. You shoved some fruits into his before doing the same with your mother.
Neytiri’s eyes flickered down between her hand and Jake’s, before looking at your now empty bag.
“Are you not having any, ‘ite” (daughter)
“I am not hungry, sa’nok” (mother)
In reality, you had been craving the fruit for Eywa knows how long before. Though your offering of the fruit was for the demand of forgiveness, and you were not about to take what you had shared to your family for your own pleasure.
“Lies! I have lived on this earth for many years surrounded by liars,” she casted a quick glance to her mate as she made a snarky reference to the time where he had betrayed the Na’vi, Though they had moved away from this long ago. Jake had known that she was just joking around. .
“I know when you lie, I am your mother after all. So you will eat and you will not speak!” Neytiri finished before she grabbed one berry from her own pile, shoving it in your move before you could refuse. You chewed bregudgly on the berry before bursting out laughing alongside your mother, your cheeks were bloated from the berry that you were still chewing.
You laughed carelessly with her, her hand moving to cup your cheek as her thumb ran loving circles onto your skin. For a moment, you had looked towards your father and to your surprise, you saw him chuckling at you both.
It filled your heart to the brim, and you felt like it would explode from the love that you received in this tent. Your father gave you a warm smile that you reciprocated, before Neytiri forced you to consume more fruits. Claiming that you haven’t been eating enough recently. Then, the laughter had been revived and the night had slowly died out as you had all made your ways into your mats for a good night's sleep.
The arguments had been forsaken for the night as for once in a long time, Jake had been your father, and not Jake Sully or Toruk Makto.
-
It had been a little over three months ever since your first interaction with the Na’vi, three months since your father had last scolded you and three months since your mother had begun to notice the subtle changes within your behaviour.
You would often sneak off during eclipse and come back at some completely random time. While she was used to this since you were younger, she noticed how you sometimes returned with random trinkets or with the widest grin that she had ever seen on your face.
You had thought that you were slick with your little escapades, but to be honest, your whole family was probably aware of it by now. At some point in time, you had arrived back home past sleeping hours to all of your siblings awaiting you ahead of the tent. Minus Tuk, that was peacefully snoring away.
Kiri was the first one to notice at first, besides your mother. She had noticed that you had been chirpier, having more will to do your everyday tasks. She was happy for you, so happy that she had set a quest among herself and her brothers to find out who your mystery lover was.
Lover. You were far from that. yet.
Not long after your first argument with the man, you had learnt that the stranger was named Mo’rata. You had attempted to inform yourself from your group of friends and surprisingly, they knew of him. Though, they knew of him in a way that did 0 justice to the man’s already poor reputation.
By what Miraha, your closest friend - had told you; he was far from the type of boy that you wanted yourself affiliated with. He was rude and totally outspoken. You had rolled your eyes at the news because that had been made clear every since your first meeting. You had heard a couple of stories about the man. About how he had once tried to court a Na’vi woman’s couple of years ago, and how he had gotten totally rejected because of his appearance.
That had made you feel uncharacteristically dejected, though he had not deserved to be treated in such a way. You had felt so bad because it was him.
Soon enough your meetings with the man began to double, triple and soon enough, you had been meeting him every single night during eclipse.
Whether your nights had been spent on an Ikran, racing and feeling the wind all brushing through your hair or full pledged roasting matches - you couldn’t help but feel things you wished not to feel for the man.
Your father had been completely against the idea of you being with the man at first, and still was. When he had first discovered that your little outings were spent with Mo’rata, it had been during a feasting celebration at the village. When you had both been returning to the village after another Ikran race, you had completely missed the way that the village was completely lighten up. Stupid had you both been, because who on Pandora could have missed the blazing lights of fire during eclipse?
You were both racing back towards the village as you were ahead of him, to which he was completely in disagreement with. He rushed past you, nearly knocking the light out of you as he pushed past.
Childish was what your mother had thought of you guys when you had entered the village, all sweaty and out of breath from your previous challenge.
You had nearly crashed into his toned chest as he had turned to meet your eyes, his own as wide as saucers as he noticed the presence of the other Omatikaya. As you made inevitable contact with him, you let out a scruffy ‘oof’ before he caught you in his arms. Both hands holding you by the waist as your hands rested on his forearms. You would’ve usually loved the intimacy if it hadn’t been for the recognizable inappropriate tune of your brother’s whistle, a tune to mock your intimacy with the man. Something that he had definitely learnt from the human that always followed him like a lost puppy, who he was currently laughing alongside Lo’ak.
You both quickly separated and stood straight before the Ole’eyktan and his family. Your family. Mo’rata knew that he should have felt scared, or more the less intimidated, but he didn’t. Because one gaze at your frame was enough to soothe his nerves. You were trying your hardest not to burst out laughing at your fathers seething form, before completely shattering under pressure. He too, soon broke under the spell of your unruly laughter, falling under the harsh glare of the Ole’eyktan.
Neteyam and Kiri shared a look between them before joining in the fit as well, although much more subtle because your father was very much still seething and very much still beside them. Neteyam placed a comforting hand upon his fathers shoulder and so did Neytiri, silently asking him to spare you just for this night. To save everyone’s festive night from his selfish judgement.
He sighed before shoo-ing his beloved ones hands away and telling the people to resume on with their feasts. You turned to look at Mo’rata once more, but to your surprise he was already staring at you.
He was mesmerised by the way you had been looking so angelic under the golden glaze of the torches. You chuckled before grabbing his hand, swiftly pulling him away to probably go and get lost in some random part of the forest for the 6th time this week.
He could only do anything but complain, because he would get lost every single day of his life if it meant getting lost with you.
After that night your little siblings had all tried to convince you that you had a little crush on the Na’vi, but you’d always lie and deny their accusations. Plus little was an understatement…
“You’re staring,” Neteyam teased as he gently elbowed you.
“Ooooooh sister be careful, you’re drooling!” Lo’ak joined in the teasing, rolling in laughter alongside spider, to whom you’d just glare and roll your eyes at.
Truthfully so you had been staring for a little long at the Na’vi, but you’d claim that it was because he was strange. Ironically so, almost a little hypocritically too because you were deemed strange as well. given your five fingers and fully developed eyebrows that no normal Na’vi had. Mo’rata had made it clear to you that he deemed you and your family as demons anyways, so you had all your rights to claim him as weird.
Though as of recently, he had begun to see you in a new light. To see your five fingers and the odd hairs above your eyes as something that he would wish to see everyday.
You had learnt along the way that Mo’rata was more or less a loner, due to his incredibly hostile attitude. When you’d heard the news you had rolled your eyes and claimed that it was no surprise. You had heard no records of his family and assumed that they were no more and that this could maybe explain his behaviour, but never excuse it.
You found yourself more at peace in the presence of Tuk, because she was the only one whose innocence shielded her from noticing the longing stares that you’d send the man. She would not once question or even acknowledge her other siblings teasing you about Mo’rata, she had her priorities set. As of now, her priorities were to re-braid your hair, and you were sure that she was set on making this the most painful braiding session that you had ever endured.
Tears gathered involuntarily in your big round eyes as your sister kept pulling with no avail, curse her for inheriting that sully blood. Soon enough your whole family had gathered into the marui as eclipse was soon to arrive.
It was not yet time for dinner, but you had already prepared yourself to leave the tent a little earlier tonight. You grabbed your bow, one that you rarely even used because you were more fond of your dagger and spear. You had thought that you were sleek with you sneaking, but your father had caught onto your tail before you could vanish into thin air.
You swiftly turned around as your tail fell in between your legs, cheeks turning a pale shade of indigo as you felt embarrassed to have been caught sneaking out. Clearly you were not the sneakiest na’vi on this land.
Jake looked at you with a raised brow, arms crossed as Neytiri grinned at him from her sitting spot.
“You are not running off with that skxawng, he is a bad influence!” He ranted as he turned away from you to look at his other children that were fighting over some game that was definitely made for children of Tuk’s age.
“But da-“
“No buts, you’re staying here tonight and it has already been decided!” he cuts you off, running a hand down his creased forehead. Having kids was definitely a harder chore than being a leader and the poor man prayed for Eywa to give him some inner peace.
You suddenly gasped loudly, bringing a hand to your mouth as you looked at your father. He was stunned by your sudden cry, his ears flushed tight against his head as he looked at you, mouth opened and all.
“What? what is it?” he asked with a scared undertone, which you had to use every single cell in your body to resist the urge to giggle at. He was too oblivious for his own good.
“Lo’ak is holding Tuk up by the tail!” you cried in pretend shock and pointed at the space behind him. Your father quickly turned to look around, ready to yell at his youngest son, for the 5th time today.
Though when he turned around, he was met with the sight of his children cheerfully playing with their little sister, all in peace. No one was pulling another by their tails. He turned back to glare at you and scold you for lying, but when he turned around he was met with the sight of an empty tent entrance.
At first he simply stood there, in pure disbelief that he had really gotten totally finessed by his own daughter. Though the disappointment slowly began to seep in, not only for you but for himself to have fallen for such a dirty trick. Neytiri snickered at him as she looked fondly at her tired mate, patting the spot beside her that he happily complied.
He pulled a hand to his temples as he rubbed the sore spot.
“Have children, they said. It’ll be the best experience of your life, they said.” he grumbled and his mate simply knocked the back of his head gently, not wanting to worsen his headache even more.
-
Failure, again and again and all over again. You huffed as you kicked the grass beneath your feet, watching as your prey took off running away. It looked at you once more before leaving definitively, as though it was mocking you. ‘Oh great Sully cannot even hit her target’
You wanted to bring back dinner for tonight and make your father proud, but how could you when you were all the more shit at aiming. Short ranged fighting was what defined you, as much as it wasn’t convenient for the Omatikaya. In your clan, they hunted and fought from far, on Ikrans or perched up in trees.
You lowered your head in shame despite believing you were alone. How could Neytiri’s own daughter be bad at archery when she was the best in the clan, followed by your younger brother; Neteyam.
The bushes behind you rustled as your impressive hearing caught it, ears flicked back as you quickly stood straight on your feet. Much to your relief, it was no thanator coming to feast on your flesh, but simply Mo’rata. He held his hands above his head in a mocking surrender, much like he did during your first time meeting.
You lowered your bow before turning around with a scoff. You raised your bow again, this time at another little animal that happened to be scavenging for food, just like you were. The rodent stood about a few metres away from the both of you and as much as it probably wouldn’t be enough to feed your whole family of 7, it would be enough for practice. Mo’rata observed you through his stern gaze, before his silent footsteps took him to you. A true hunter’s trait.
“You cannot even hold a bow correctly, how is it that you are a warrior if you cannot do the minimum?” His words may have sounded discourteous, but his tone held no venom to it.
Your tail rested in between your legs in hostility and his nonexistent eyebrows raised in amusement.
“I prefer short ranged fighting, and that requires more strength and less….aiming?” Mo’rata looked at you in bewilderment, were you really being for real right now? He snickered and his deep laughter made you feel unnecessarily warm.
“When you live in the forest, you cannot allow yourself the shame of being unknowing. So grab your bow and try again.” He urged you to aim again and you rolled your eyes at his sudden eagerness.
“Living in the trees without knowing how to reach your prey from far is dangerous, you’ll get yourself killed.” you had to agree that he was correct, maybe you shouldn’t have been skipping archery training with your father and Neteyam.
Mo’rata looked at your posture once more and it was truly starting to ick him at how badly you were holding your bow, or even standing. He decided to take matters into his own hands and help your desperate self.
You tensed at first contact, the feeling of his warm palms taking you completely by surprise. Your round eyes widened as your pupils dilated slightly, a trait you had acquired from your mother. He was holding firmly unto the hand that was holding your bow while the other one grasped upon your other one, pulling it towards him.
“Hunting is not only a duty Y/N, it is a talent gifted from Eywa to be able to be a hunter.”
The bowstring flexes from tension and Mo’rata lifted your arm slightly alongside his. His back wasn’t much further away from yours and you could momentarily feel his chest pressing alongside your back before the feeling completely vanished. When you look back at him, he was now standing beside you.
“When you hunt, you must get used to your surroundings, wherever you are, however loud or quiet the area is.”
Mo’rata nudged for you to hurry up and shoot, and so you did. In a split second, the arrow left your bow and landed straight into the poor rodent, taking it out instantly. Your eyes widened at your successful attempt, even though the other Na’vi had done everything for you.
He looked at you before laughing, a real laughter that had erupted from his throat. If your eyes weren’t already open wide, then they definitely were now.
“Said ‘warrior’ is so happy to have successfully aimed a bow for the first time.” He mocked, his dreads caging his face as he lowered his face to laugh. His mockery held no venom once again, just a hidden tinge of fondness.
You looked up at him to join into his fit of laughter, although in a split second, the sky had darkened and a heavy rain began pouring on the both of you. You looked back at him in confusion, before watching how his ears suddenly flickered and pinned down against his skull.
He immediately urged forwards to grab onto you, bringing you to the comfort of a tree trunk just in time as a swarm of animals of all sizes came rushing for every side of the forest. They ran, presumably away as both herbivores and carnivors put aside their indifferences to run away from whatever was coming.
He held a hand across your stomach in a protective embrace, your back pressed to him. Dust and whatever nasty particles that those animals were carrying around got blown all over and unto you both. Though you could care less about that right now.
Once the rush had calmed down, the both of you had left the hiding spot to investigate the damage done. That was when you had seen it, the couple of unfamiliar lights that advanced through the darkening sky.
You looked back at Mo’rata with a foreign fear in your eyes and he attempted to comfort you by holding onto your hand. Something was telling you that you must return home as quickly as possible, because you had just been warned by Eywa that bad things were coming your way…

Aang was a kid who was the sole survivor of a genocide. Why doesn't that factor in your opinion of him?
I've talked about this before, but his age and tragic backstory are irrelevant. ALL of the main characters are children with tragic backstories, and they are more empathetic, have more growth, and their tragic backstories...actually matter.
Listen, for all people whine about how often Katara talks about her mom (which isn't really that often), it's clear how her mother's death shaped her as a character. It's clear how witnessing her mother's death formed her worldview, and Kya sacrificing herself for Katara made a mark (she never turns her back on people who need her? COME ON! That is obviously her trying to save people the way she couldn't save her mother). Even her wanting to learn how to fight and not heal (which is an insane battle advantage, btw) speaks to her trauma around not being able to defend her mom.
Even Sokka's trauma around the loss of his father and not being deemed old enough (big enough/ strong enough/ smart enough) to go with Hakoda and the other warriors come through in his recurring need to prove himself (coming up with the big battle plan for DoBS, breaking his father out of prison, learning swordplay, etc.). It's woven so neatly into the narrative. His trauma matters to his story.
Toph is the least developed of the Gaang, and her issues with her parents have more impact on character than the destruction of the Air Nomads have on Aang. Heck, Zuko's entire arc hinges on compound traumas.
Meanwhile, Aang's trauma....? What trauma? Yes, the loss of the Air Nomads is a tragedy, but we, the audience, only know it's a tragedy because we have real world knowledge telling us so. Personally, I was in 3rd or 4th grade when I began learning about the Trail of Tears, and in kindergarten when I began learning about slavery (I was born in Harlem. The kindergarten I went to taught us accordingly). When I saw ATLA, I had a frame of reference for the genocide of the Air Nomads. But it didn't really seem to bother Aang all that much. Oh, sure, it did come up when it was convenient to the plot, but it mostly seemed to be a way for Aang to expound on the superiority of Air Nomad philosophy and society to whoever he's talking to. Aside from that, and his first rush of feeling when he found out what happened to them, the loss of the Air Nomads doesn't seem to effect Aang all that much. If he doesn't care about his tragic loss, why should I?
Aang is a fictional character. I don't have to extend the same pathos to him that I would to a real life person. It is the writers' duty to make me feel for him, and they did not. The way he's framed is the issue. And here is where I really start retreading things I've said before, but I think it needs to be repeated (again and again and again). Aang is not framed as someone who has a lot of growing up and learning to do. I could give him a pass on his worst traits because he's a child and still growing, but the show doesn't frame him that way. The show wants me to see him as a precocious imp who's wise-beyond-his-years but still has a cheeky lil' mischievous streak. It's not trying to frame his lying to the quarreling tribes in The Great Divide as a bump in his journey to becoming an effective leader bridging different people together. It wants the audience to laugh at him getting one over on the foolish tribes who absolutely went back to fighting as soon as Appa was out of sight. The show isn't framing his desperation to get the village in Avatar Day to like him as a foolish pursuit he needs to get over if he wants to be strong in the face of adversity. It wants us, the audience, to feel bad for him because his charm isn't immediately bringing the people over to his side. It wants us to be indignant that the villagers don't see how important Aang is and wont' support him. The show isn't framing Aang's non-con kisses with Katara as bad because it hurt her. It isn't making a point to that Aang needs to care about her feelings. It wants the audience to feel bad for Aang and hope for Katara to come around because he's A Nice Guy™️©️®️. Aang is never shown to be a particularly good friend to any of the Gaang, let alone him being kind to strangers just because that's his heart. All of that I would allow to be just him being a dumb kid with growing to do if the show hadn't made it clear that Aang was perfect and didn't have to change, and in fact the world should change for him.
Aang's age and tragic backstory are irrelevant because the show made them irrelevant. All they left us with was a Gary Stu character who hides his selfishness under a thin veneer of cheerfulness. It's not good enough.

late shift
Shuttle for Mars is departing now. Please keep hands, feet, tails, and other appendages clear of the yellow line.
‘Nice, finally get off work on time for once! Man is it empty, way less busy than the 5:45 one…
Are they sleeping? Please tell me they’re sleeping…’
“Snnrk…”
‘Oh good they are, oooh lots of empty seats next to them! Nice.’
The young human sits across the large figure and looks around.
‘Wonder why everyone else is sitting so far away from this guy? He’s not that much scarier than a Alteauh…OH! He’s an Orc! An actual Orc, oh this is so cool! Wait. Calm down, control yourself. Orc’s are people too, not some exotic animal in a zoo….he’s sooo cool looking tho!’
The human smiles and takes out their headphones and listens to some music and take in the view they see through the shuttle’s windows. From time to time they peek at the orc, can’t helping themselves from people-watching him.
Like what most humans imagined, he was huge. Easily more than 7 feet tall, with large calloused hands bigger than their head. He had large tusks but unlike the stereotypes he was well trimmed with well relatively kept hair. It would have neater had there not been dust in it. The orc wore dirty cloths and work boots. Beside them what looked like a tool box and bag.
‘Must be a construction worker or works in a trade’ they mused
‘Poor guy, he’s gotta be exhausted to sleep here. At least he gets to go home now.’
The shuttle shakes and with it so does the sleeping giant. Rocking side to side.
'That's not good.' They nervously slide off their headphones.
The turbulence increases until the sleeping orc leans too far and starts fall face first off his seat.
“OH SHIT!” Diving to their knees they manage to catch his head and shoulders.
“Mm?”
“You okay?” Damn he's heavy!
“Mmm…sorry.” Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he slowly got back into his seat, the turbulence now gone.
“No worries, I just didn’t want you to hit your head.”
“Heh, wouldn't be the first time I’ve done it.”
after rubbing his eyes a bit more and a crack of the neck he looks at them, brain finally working to some degree.
“…wait. You caught me?”
“Uh-huh”
“But you’re so small! Are you hurt?”
“You're not the first sleeping giant I’ve caught. I’m alright.”
“I am so sorry for that. I just finished working a 12 hour shift fixing the 1st and 3rd engine rooms and couldn’t help myself from dozing off.”
They whistle. “12 hours? No wonder you’re tired! If I were you I’d be in a coma.”
“Ah but surely you have a difficult job yourself. How else would you be able to catch me?”
“No, nothing like yours! I just work at a youngling centre.”
“The one on the ship?”
“That’s the one.”
“...YOUR ONE OF THE BRAVE WARRIORS WHO RISKED THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT THE CHILDREN??!”
“…you’ve heard of us?”
“Every orc and warrior worth their blade knows of your valiant deeds!! Tell me, what is your name??”
“Kim, uh and you are?”
“Fenrir. It is truly an honor to meet someone of your bravery and intelligence."
"Likewise! I've heard that the orc species are a true warrior race."
For the rest of the trip the two talked. Kim sharing how her and Max built such a safe room in the centre, which lead to the two realizing how similar each other's planets are.
"You have wind whirlpools as well? I thought they only existed on Bantor!"
"Well we call them hurricanes and tornadoes but yeah. Do you guys have hail?"
"Not where I grew up but nearby farther up they get a week or two of light hail showers during the fall. What about animals? Do you have reptiles bigger than an adult with large teeth and live in rivers? We call them darthrang."
"Oh we call them crocodiles!"
"Amazing! To think that your species live in a world much like mine!"
When the shuttle finally reached it's destination the two went their separate ways. A few days later they meet again, this time on the later shuttle. They sit and talk and create a routine of sorts where they became each others travelling companion for the trip to Mars.
One day however, Fenrir stopped coming. The human was saddened as she enjoyed his company but was soon surprised when seeing him at the centre.
"Kim! I've been transferred to stay on the ship so I won't be taking the shuttle to Mars anymore."
"Oh...well, as you know I only go home at the end of the week so maybe we can hang out now. Like eat lunch together or have a drink after work...or something like that!"
"Actually we'll be seeing each other everyday now. But if you don't get sick of me then yes, lets each lunch together."
"Great! But why will I be seeing you everyday?"
"Because after telling my family about you and the centre they've enrolled my nieces and nephews and younger siblings here...and I offered to drop them off and pick them up."
It was then that Kim noticed the dozen of orc children hiding behind Fenrir. The tallest and what looked the eldest of them stepped forward.
"Hello, I am Athea, uncle Fenrir said your one of the ones who saved the centre."
"Yes, my name is Kim. It's great to meet you AtheaaAA!" The orc girl pulled the human into a tight hug, lifting the adult woman off of her feet.
"Thank you for saving Nova." she mumbled into her chest.
'Ah, the Captain's daughter' Kim thought. "I was just doing what any teacher would do."
After a moment the human was put down and lead the children into the centre. The day went well. Fenrir's young family members were quickly won over by the humans, first with the saving of the centre, then with how they understood how wonderful their planet was rather than terrifying or deadly.
They were also greatly intrigued by how such a small species could survive in a planet that was thought to only be habitable to orcs.
"How can you carry us?" asked Thor, one of Fenrir's youngest brothers. "We're much bigger than a human child."
"Yeah but your not bigger than my cousins who are teenagers. Also just last month I had like 10 kids climbing on me. Two were tighalaxes."
"Your joking!"
...
"It that tumpon?!"
"Hm? We call it maafe, but it's also known as peanut stew, do you want some? It doesn't have any meat in it though."
"Guys Max has tumpon!! Can you tell Fenrir where we can buy the ingredients?"
"Of course. Finally I'll finish what gran gave me without having to gain 10 pounds."
And thus the first day ended on a high note! Now if only Kim could figure out why the children looked at her and nodded while talking to Fenrir...
So this based off of a post by @llamagoddessofficial about humans meeting actual space orcs. Sadly I can't find the actual post. but yeah, here u go, space orc and human meet cute

Summary: Captured by Danes as a young child, you never thought you'd escape...until you were saved by a certain baby monk.

You didn’t remember much before you were captured by the Danes.
You were just a little thing, barely even old enough to take care of yourself. So when your family was killed in front of you, you had no choice but to be subjected to the wills of your captors. You couldn’t run, you couldn’t fight, you couldn’t scream. It was a hellish existence, demons always right behind you, breathing down your neck.
You were forced to grow up with these savages, watching them pillage and murder like they didn’t know how to do anything else. They tried to make you like them, but even as a child, your family instilled such a strong faith in you that to become like a Dane was unthinkable. And they tried to break you, so many times, almost allowing the demons following your every move get closer and closer. But as you made your way into womanhood with still no cracks in your convictions, they decided you were no good for anything but work and…other things.
Getting used almost every day by your captors was the only thing that threatened to break your spirit. They were callous, uncaring about your pain, further proof that Danes were the source of all evil and that you’d eventually die by their hands.
You were always numb; unmoving. To anyone else, you may have looked lifeless if not for the man above you using your body like you were his own personal toy.
Sometimes, you wish to be killed, even thinking about disobeying or fighting back just to have your wishes fulfilled. Most of all, you wished death upon your master. You wished to be the one to kill him. But you were only a woman, inferior, weak. But your spirit was strong, it must’ve been to survive every single torturous exchange by the hands of your master. And that was something no one would ever be able to take away from you, or so you hoped.
One day, you snapped. You actually tried to fight back, but that only got you punished so severely, you didn’t wake for days. After that, you started to wonder, if God did exist, why did He let all this happen to you? Why did He let one of his children be violated each and every day, let you be beaten and forced to do the Danes’ bidding? It didn’t make any sense. You hated Him…you fucking hated Him. You couldn't devote your life to some being that seemed indifferent to suffering. But ironically, it made your existence as a Dane’s slave much worse, now that you had nothing to hope for. No warrior of God would come to save you, no reward at the end of your life, no “well done, my good and faithful servant,” once you got to Heaven.
You completely gave in to your fate, not even bothering to fight back or argue with your masters anymore, thus, allowing your demons to take over.
As the days went on after your loss of faith, the idea of staying in the company of the Danes got more and more unbearable. As your master was using you for his own pleasure for the umpteenth time, you decided that you wouldn’t take it anymore. Taking your own life was thought to be a sin in your religion, but then you remembered, you didn’t follow it anymore. So really, you had nothing to lose.
But then, your master was suddenly pulled away and turned around, blocking the view of the culprit. Perhaps it was another man who was tired of waiting his turn.
Then you felt a splash of something wet. It was red, it stained your dress and skin. Blood. Your master’s blood, you were covered in it. A sword had been pushed through his stomach, all the way until it stuck out his back. Only when he fell to the ground could you see who killed him.
It was a young man, no older than you were. He was wide eyed in panic, his blue irises piercing even in the dim lighting of the room. His eyebrows were furrowed in a way that expressed concern that was directed towards your frozen form. He looked as though he did not know whether to help you or run away, or to cry really. “Are you alright, miss?” He asked as soft as his voice, but you didn’t know how to respond. No, you weren’t but yes, you were, now that your evil master was dead. “I’m not gonna hurt you, I promise. You’re safe now.”
Safe? What did safe even mean? You’ve never known what it was like to be safe, why would following this man be any different?
“My lord will keep you safe, he is an honorable man.” You looked down from the young man’s face to his chest, seeing a wooden cross hanging loosely from his neck. You could have laughed, the irony was not lost on you, of course. “You don’t have to, of course. But…you’re bleeding. Please, let me help clean your wounds, at least.” He was…giving you a choice? You’ve never been allowed a choice before. He cautiously held out his larger hand towards you, his innocent pleading eyes almost mirroring yours from a long time ago, whereas now yours were blank and cold from years of torture. But seeing his seemingly caring expression, you figured it couldn’t get much worse. Everything horrible that life had to offer had already been done to you.
You were surprised how warm his hand was as you shakingly reached out to it, every other hand that has touched you always so rough and cold, but his weren’t. “It’s okay…” He spoke so softly, you almost had to strain to hear him. You were like a baby deer, him being so afraid to spook you, but he just didn’t know you still had a death wish.
When the Coccham squad came across your little village, it was chaos. Danes, killing and assaulting each other, they had only heard horror stories about places like these villages. Danes weren’t normally like this, Uhtred could attest to that. Danes took care of each other, they never would kill one of their own without reason. At least, that’s how Uhtred saw it. This village you were in, there was no saving them. They had encountered a few Danes from your village on the road, and friendly they were not. They had killed one of Uhtred’s men, and he wouldn’t let that slide.
There were many slaves in the village, you being one of them. Uhtred and his team snuck in and killed every Dane they could find, freeing every slave in the process. Osferth had grown more confident in his fighting skills, didn’t cry every time he killed someone, and the thought he’d be helping people in the process made it easier. Uhtred didn’t feel he needed to be babysat anymore, he trusted that he could take care of himself. So everyone split up throughout the village to cover more ground, and it must’ve been some sort of luck or divine intervention that Osferth found you.
Osferth wasn’t completely naïve anymore, having more experiences with Uhtred’s team in the couple years spent with him than his whole life of being a monk. But when he came upon you being violated by your master, the first thought that went through his head was how could someone do that to someone else? Anger coursed through his veins, an anger that he’d never felt before, a dangerous anger that scared him. For the first time, he felt pleasure in taking someone’s life. The filth that was rutting against you deserved the most painful death anyone could possibly imagine, but Osferth just wanted to save you as quickly as he could, thrusting his sword into the creature’s chest. He didn’t even have time to savor the moment, wanting to make sure you were okay.
You were bleeding, wounds and bruises all over your body. But what was most concerning for Osferth, was the fact that you didn’t seem bothered at all. There was no light behind your eyes, like you were alive but not really living. Which makes sense considering all you must’ve gone through over the years. He didn’t want to scare you, speaking as softly as he could without being inaudible. But you didn’t flinch, not even when he reached out to you. You took his hand without question, and Osferth didn’t know if he should’ve been relieved or even more worried.
Osferth brought you to a secluded part of the village, where no dead bodies could be seen. You’ve probably seen worse, but he didn’t want to subject you to any horrors, even if those dead bodies brought you just as much harm as the man he killed himself. He sat you down gently, near a water well, using the cool water to wash away your master’s blood that mixed with yours.
You didn’t speak as he helped soothe some of your wounds, and he started to wonder if you were mute or simply too traumatized. “I am Osferth. What’s your name, miss?” He asked, breaking the tense silence. But you didn’t answer, staring ahead despondently. Osferth smiled weakly, slightly shaking his head. “That’s alright. You don’t have to speak if you don’t want to. Whenever you’re ready.” If you were ever ready, that was.
Osferth led you to where they set up camp just outside your village, sitting you down outside his tent next to a fire to warm you. You looked slightly worried at the man that was cleaning blood off his weapons, but seeing a similar cross around his neck, you didn’t feel you needed to run or fight. “This is Finan, he also helped free your village.”
“Why’d you bring her here?” Finan asked.
Osferth blushed. “I thought…she could travel with us, if she has nowhere else to go. Or if she wants to.”
Finan scoffed a laugh. “Did she tell you she wanted to?” But Osferth stayed quiet. “Uhtred will not be happy about another mouth to feed.”
“Uhtred will understand.” Osferth insisted, not leaving any room for argument, forcing Finan into a begrudging silence.
Suddenly, Osferth heard you let out a panicked gasp, whimpering and pulling out of his delicate grasp. He looked behind himself where you were staring, seeing his lord Uhtred. “A Dane…” You trembled fearfully.
“No, no, no, that’s my lord, Uhtred. He’s not gonna hurt you. He’s a good man.” Osferth tried to reassure you, but your fearful expression didn’t change.
“Osferth?” Uhtred spoke, looking back at you in curiosity.
Osferth placed you inside of his tent and went to Uhtred to push him away to speak with him. “I’m sorry, my lord. But I feel it is best if you don’t let her see you. She’s terrified of Danes.”
“You know I’d never hurt a woman.” Uhtred hissed, offended.
“She…her master was assaulting her when I saved her.” He whispered, Uhtred’s expression darkening. “Please just, let me take care of her.”
“Osferth, I’m sorry, but she’s not our concern. We have to travel back to Coccham and-”
“In all respect, my lord, I don’t care. I wanna help her…okay?”
Uhtred sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Alright, Osferth, fine. But she’s your responsibility.”
“...thank you, lord.”
Osferth grimaced when he saw you flinch when he entered his tent, carrying a bowl of hot soup. “My lady,” He kneeled down beside you, holding out the bowl, “you must be hungry? It’s not much, but it’ll push the hunger pains away for a little while.”
You took the bowl wordlessly, closing your eyes in contentment at the taste. “Thank you…” You whispered, trying your best to give him a weak smile. “For saving me.”
Osferth couldn’t help but blush under your grateful gaze, a bashful smile gracing his own face. “I was only doing the right thing, miss.”
You didn’t speak much throughout the journey back to Coccham, only thanking Osferth whenever he brought you food and drink. Nobody pushed you to talk, knowing only what Osferth told them was enough to try to give you your space. But in the rare times you did speak, you never spoke to anyone except Osferth. He figured it was because he was possibly the first friendly face you had encountered. He saved your life, perhaps it formed some sort of attachment.
Osferth could tell him getting you to join them was a bit of an annoyance to the rest of the group, and the fact you only ever responded to him didn’t make matters any better. But he wanted to make sure you were okay, he wouldn’t be a good man if he just left you back at the village. Though, he felt ashamed, but he kind of liked that he was the only one you spoke to. He decided you just needed some time to get adjusted to a new free life, and maybe a few weeks in Coccham would give you some comfort.
You never expected you’d get to share a little home, having been used to just sleeping on a dirt ridden blanket on the floor, or even having been forced to sleep in a barn with the animals. So that fact that you had your own bed, it brought tears to your eyes, reminding you of a time when you were with people who actually cared about you. Perhaps Osferth was trying to be that for you again, though you didn’t know how you felt about sharing a house with him, even if for a time until your own house was made should you choose to stay.
Even though you didn’t have much, you found yourself unpacking what little you had and placed the various things around your new room just to distract yourself. You never had a room to decorate before, you immediately thought of plants, flowers that could survive in the winter. Pansies, which you remembered being your mother’s favorite.
You looked down at your hand, clutching the only thing you had left of your family; a small amber gemstone. You had done everything you could to keep this with you over the years, hiding it from your masters where they would never find it. But now that you’re free of them, you have no use to hide it anymore. You thought it would look nice on your own small mantel in your room. Turning around towards your mantel, you froze when you saw Osferth standing in your doorframe, leaning against the wall. “Settling in okay?”
You nodded meekly. “Yes.” You whispered, ignoring the nerves in your gut and walking to place the amber on the mantel, unwanted tears coming to your eyes at the sight, wiping them away before they even had a chance to fall.
“May I ask what happened to you, miss?” Osferth asked softly, but immediately regretted it when your face fell. “I’m sorry, I shouldn't have asked. Please, forgive me.”
You shook your head. “It’s alright…it’s natural to be curious, I suppose.” You paused, clearly contemplating the right action before a pained expression came over your visage. “I’d prefer not to speak of it…” You sighed heavily.
“Of course…I’ll leave you to it then.”
You didn’t know why you had a pang of disappointment when Osferth left, his presence somehow more comforting than when you were alone. You chose to ignore it. Though, it seems like Osferth himself had trouble staying away from you. Whether it was just checking up on you or simply wanting to be in your company, he was practically attached to you from the hip. You still had issues talking to anyone else, Osferth would help you get your point across whenever you needed. Despite his lack of personal space, you were thankful for him. He never let anyone push you to speak, or even try to talk to you without your permission for that matter. He was a bit overprotective, but you’d never experienced it before, or at least haven’t in a long, long time. It was nice to feel cared for, even if you still had difficulty trusting said kindness.
For Osferth, he fell for you pretty quickly. Despite having matured much in Uhtred’s company, his heart was still prone to a sort of childlike wonder and optimism, certain traits like those often getting him picked on by his friends. Though, Osferth never wanted his heart to harden like the company he kept. He never wanted to be a brooding pessimist like his lord, nor use sarcasm as a defense mechanism like he’s seen Finan or Sihtric do so often. He was always taught to be kind to others, not to judge as that’s the Lord’s business to judge. Those traits instilled in him from birth, it was no wonder he always fell fast and hard.
Osferth thought he had been in love several times, from women he had one night stands with to women who politely smiled in his direction…another thing he got picked on about. You were no exception. As soon as he laid his eyes on you, even with the circumstances, he thought you were the most beautiful person he’d ever seen. And that opinion never seemed to lessen in its sincerity, in fact, it seemed to deepen the more he spent time with you.
The more time you stayed in Coccham, the more your true personality started to show. Now that you weren’t fearing for your life constantly, Osferth noticed you had a decent sense of humor. You would understand his jokes and chuckle at them, still too shy to allow yourself a full belly laugh, but he was more than content with what you managed to give him. Every giggle you made always caused blood to rush to his cheeks…and a little other places, though he felt guilty every time it happened. He never wanted to make you uncomfortable in any way.
Osferth attempted to hide his shock when one day you approached him, asking him to teach you how to defend yourself, but his eyes widened despite his attempts, causing you to shy away but he didn’t let you. He was elated that you wanted to learn, and in all honesty, Osferth would feel a lot more at ease if he knew you could defend yourself.
Osferth still wasn’t the most skilled at combat, everything he learned from Finan, so he figured the Irishman would be the most qualified for the job. But soon into the session, he realized it was the worst idea he had ever had. Finan was serious about combat, never taking it easy when teaching Osferth, he didn’t know why he thought he would be gentle with you. He seemed to overwhelm you pretty quickly, knocking your training sword out of your hands with ease, just to tease you, which you obviously didn’t appreciate. Finan was prone to being a bit aggressively playful, which is tolerated and even enjoyed by some, but it was not what you needed at that moment. Every parry by Finan, who had a constant smirk on his face, seemed to upset you more and more…until something seemed to snap in you.
The dull sword shook in your hands, a feeling of overwhelming panic washing over you. You couldn’t tell why, you were in a safe environment where you knew no one would intentionally hurt you, but as you watched Finan attempt to strike at you with his own sword, you only saw your former master.
You blocked Finan’s blow out of pure instinct and fear, but he only saw it as that you were learning, earning praise from him. “Good.” But it wasn’t his voice, there was no accent that resembled Finan’s at all, nor pitch. It was him. Could you never escape?
Fearfully, like a cornered animal, you swung at the man wildly. No technique or thought behind the blows, all you wanted was your sight to be rid of him. You sobbed and screamed, desperate to escape, desperate to kill. But the man kept evading your blows with ease, mocking laughter filling your ears, spurring you on further in a rage. You felt your blade hit something, and an almost feeling of relief washed over you, but it wasn’t enough. You barely could sense your surroundings, up until you felt a pair of arms wrap around you.
Osferth was frozen as he watched the interactions, unsure of the best decision and terrified of making the wrong one. It was clear you weren’t there anymore, not really, your mind forced back into the state you were before you were rescued, but no one else clued in on it. Not even Finan, who he figured was just playfully excited that you were being more aggressive, making the training session all the more worthwhile. But Osferth saw the frightened look on your face, immediately telling him that something was wrong. He finally made a move when you had almost connected your blade to his neck, if it had been a non-training sword, would have the capacity to cut Finan’s head clean off.
Finally, Finan seemed to sense something was wrong too. His laughter stopped and his expression fell, realizing that you were actually trying to hurt him. He hesitated for the briefest moment, but that was enough for your sword to actually connect to his body. The dull blade hit his shoulder, your fear seemingly amplifying your strength, making Finan fall on the cold ground. “Hey, hey, hey-!” Finan started to shout in a panic as you surged forward, your sword raised above your head, prepared to strike. But Osferth came to Finan’s rescue, and yours too.
Osferth wrapped his arms around you, ripping the sword from your hands quickly to prevent further injuries. You flailed about, screaming to the top of your lungs, demanding he let you go. But he knew he couldn’t, not when you were like this, a danger to others but most of all, yourself. All he thought to do in the moment was whisk you away, back to your shared home. “I thought this was only supposed to be training, lass, not an actual fight!” Finan called out angrily.
“Don’t.” Osferth called out sternly, shocking the Irishman and the rest of his friends.
Osferth tried his very best to use soothing words to calm you down as he walked you back to your home, guiding you to your bed and repeating that you were safe. Whatever you think you saw wasn’t real. Once you realized you were indeed safe, you clinged onto Osferth, your arms tightening around his shoulders, not allowing him to leave your side, not that he ever wanted to. He’d stay by your side forever if he could. But you settled, slowly releasing him from your grip, your expression bashful and ashamed; Osferth could already tell where your mind was at.
“I don’t know what happened…” You whispered, your voice cracking. “I-I was fine one moment and then…” You whimpered, huffing angrily, willing yourself not to burst into tears again. You relaxed again slightly when Osferth ran a soothing hand up and down your back, his presence more than comforting. He started to feel…like a safe space. “I kept seeing him…in my mind’s eye. The image wouldn’t go away and I felt like I was back in that village, back in his house and forced to-” You quickly cut yourself off, not sure if you were even ready to say the words out loud.
Osferth shook his head, grabbing a hold of your hand and squeezing gently. “You don’t have to say any more.” he reassured. “You’re safe here. No one's ever gonna hurt you again, not while I’m still breathing. One day, all those memories will become so distant they’ll be like a dream. It won’t hurt as much anymore. Time heals all. You’ll see.” Your gaze was so transfixed onto him, Osferth thought the skin of his cheeks would burst from all the blood that rushed to them. His own gaze fleeted from your eyes to your lips, over and over again on a loop, his own lips tingling with the thought of how easy it would be to just…lean forward and make that connection.
But no, Osferth respected you too much. He’d never push your boundaries, nor with anyone, but especially not with you. He tried to ignore your confused expression as he quietly excused himself, stating that you should find rest, leaving your bedroom in a hurry, retreating to his own room to steady his rapidly beating heart. Maybe it was a mistake to have you living with him…
Even after your first lesson not going the way you planned, you still wanted to learn to fight. Finan, unsurprisingly, was more than hesitant to teach you again, so it was up to Osferth, not that he minded. He let you take a couple days to gather yourself, recover, for it was best to train with a clear head. Unlike Finan, Osferth went more easy on you, giving you a fair challenge but not babying you. You seemed to have more fun with Osferth’s training style, a determined smile on your face never falling during that first lesson. He figured you appreciated his style, but you just loved being around him regardless of the situation, not that you’d ever admit this. Not yet, at least. And slowly but surely, over the course of a couple weeks, you felt you’d be able to handle yourself with a sword. The feeling was empowering, knowing you’d be able to fight and hold your own. All thanks to Osferth.
You still had much to learn, but you just had to thank Osferth for all he had done for you. After a training session, he looked so…pretty. Sweat beaded his brow, his chest expanding with each deep breath he took, a proud smile on his face at your progress. You didn’t think before you kissed his cheek, a shocked expression coming over your face as well as his. You almost regretted it until he grinned widely, his eyes sparkling with pure joy, making your heart warm. “Thank you, sweet Osferth, for everything.”
You had finally started to find some semblance of peace with your life in Coccham, mostly because of Osferth. Most of the time, you were content, spending time training with the baby monk being the highlights of the day. You just wished it was always day. You wished the sun never set and the world was never covered in darkness, you started to despise it. You realized that nights were the worst.
Every shadow you might’ve seen, or any twig that snapped under the pressure of various wildlife that were roaming their woods, it always startled you, pushing you to the verge of a panic attack. You felt so vulnerable in the darkness. Constantly. It didn’t help that the company you kept didn’t even try to keep themselves out of trouble, if anything they went out of their way to find trouble. While that might not have been exactly true, your traumatized mind found the extreme in everything.
You could scarcely find sleep with tossing and turning in fear and paranoia that your master would rise from the grave to steal you away again. You’d always finally find sleep once the sun had already started to rise. It was frustrating, you were angry that your mind still tormented you so. You were free now, so why couldn’t your mind comprehend it?
You knew you were fitful in your sleep, whenever you managed to find it. But no one had ever mentioned you making much noise when traveling back to Coccham, until one night.
Even after staying in this new town for over a month now, you still had such bad nightmares in the form of embellished memories, your subconscious making them seem even worse. One particular nightmare had you gasping awake, a scream escaping your mouth as you sat straight up in your bed in a cold sweat, your heart beating so fast you thought it would stop.
Osferth had heard you from across the little house, immediately brandishing his sword to frighten away or kill whatever or whoever dared to hurt you. But unfortunately, Osferth’s sword couldn’t scare away your own mind. “My lady?” He asked, panicking at your state.
You were hysterical, unable to even say more than stuttering apologies. Osferth went straight to you, ignoring the boundaries he set for himself just for you, bringing your shaking frame into his arms to try to soothe you, cooing comforting words in your ears. “It’s okay, it’s okay. It’s okay now, sweet girl. You’re okay, you’re safe.”
“Osferth…” You spoke in broken sobs, leaning into his touch while your body heaved with the pain of your memories.
“I’m here, love. I’m here.” Osferth’s heart broke for you, just imagining what you might’ve gone through to have nightmares that elicited such reactions from you. It also brought back that similar dangerous anger that rooted itself deep in his heart, making him hold you tighter, his expression hardening and willed anyone who was curious to keep away lest they wanted to be up close and personal with his fists.
After a few minutes of crying onto Osferth’s chest, your body finally started to stop shaking. “I’m sorry…bad dreams.” You stuttered, even though they weren’t just dreams.
“You have nothing to apologize for, my lady. I can’t imagine…” Osferth sighed, choosing not to finish that sentence. “I hate that you are troubled so. Is there anything I can do to make it better?” He moved to pull away, to fetch you water or whatever you so wished, but he was surprised to find you didn’t want to let him go.
“Can you…stay with me?” You asked timidly. “I’ve learned I don’t like sleeping by myself.”
Osferth’s expression softened, settling himself back beside you, placing an arm over your shoulders to pull you to him gently. “Of course, my lady. I’ll always stay with you, if that’s what you desire. Now, try to get more sleep. I’ll be right here when you wake. I’ll have no harm come to you ever again. I swear on the cross.”
You looked up at him, your eyes heavy with exhaustion, but no sleep could come to you when you had so many questions. “Why are you so kind to me? You don’t have to be, but you are.”
Osferth blushed, smiling bashfully. “It’s the Godly thing to do, miss. Treat others that way you’d want to be treated.”
You frowned. “I’ve never been treated with much kindness throughout my life.”
“It shouldn’t have been that way. You deserved kindness and respect, much like anyone else. But the fact that you yourself are still kind and respectful, despite all you’ve been through, is a testament to how strong you truly are, my lady.” Now it was your turn to blush, hiding your face from his view by cuddling into his chest.
“I don’t feel very strong most days, not with my mind so…shattered.” You sighed, fiddling with the cross necklace he wore. “How do you keep your faith, Osferth, when you’ve seen so much death and cruelty in the world?”
Osferth frowned. “I will not say it isn’t difficult, my lady. But all of this has to have some meaning, doesn’t it? If there is no reward after death for our good deeds, why do we bother at all? My faith remains strong because of all the good I’ve seen, in spite of the bad. The ability to be kind towards others, to show empathy, to protect the ones you love…those are all Godly things, innit?”
Osferth shifted, moving to sit up, you moving with him with a curious expression decorating your features as he removed his cross. “Here,” He placed the cross around your neck, the feeling of rough callousness of his fingers along the sensitive skin making gooseflesh rise along your body, “I want you to have this, my lady. Perhaps, let it be a reminder that there is good in this world, even if some days it doesn’t feel like it.”
You didn’t realize it until right then, but you were in love with Osferth.

You had been watching Neteyam from afar, ever since you were kids. Maybe it was due to the fact that he was the olo’eyktan’s son, or because he had grown up to be a strong warrior. He followed his father’s footsteps, even going so far as to mating with your best friend right away. You were jealous of course, you had wanted it to be you. You had been the one who had become his friend first, you had been the one who became a companion to his mother when it came to taking care of Tuk, you had been the one to heal him when he got minor cuts and scratches. So when you found out he mated to your friend your heart broke, and it broke even more when you soon found out she fell pregnant immediately after. You tried not to show it but anger bubbled in the pit of your belly, you were right there and he went for her. You simply congratulated her and tried forgetting about him. You soon found a pleasure mate for yourself, not wanting an actual mate anymore finding a good companion in Aewtx. He was a good warrior, a great hunter, and an amazing lover. You fucked Aewtx every time you could, when you hunted, when you were down by the stream, but still you could not find yourself to mate with him and he never pushed.
Everything was going fine until on a random morning when your friend came crashing into your mauri crying. You could not understand anything she said until the few words you did understand sent your head spinning.
“Neteyam found out Fazrru isn’t his!” She all but screamed in your face. You could feel your face contort in confusion.
“But how, you got pregnant right after mating?” You asked, your head still spinning.
“I was already pregnant y/n, we never made the bond, we just pretended we did so his father wouldn’t be upset.” She said as she calmed herself, now it all made sense. Why even though they were supposed to be mates, they never acted as such. You would catch Neteyam’s eyes wandering over your body, lingering on your breasts. He would also rub up close behind you, making sure you could feel his body against yours. Just thinking about all those moments made your face flush.
After she left, you decided to go find him at the spot you knew all. It was by the old shack you two would sneak off to as children. It’s where you two kissed for the first time, that’s why when he mated to your friend you were angry and confused, you thought that he had wanted you. And sure enough when you got there, there he was pacing around angrily.
“Neteyam I have been looking for you.” You said as you slowly approached him trying to be cautious. At the sound of your voice he quickly whipped his head around, looking straight into your eyes. Without any words spoken he quickly walked towards you and gripped your face in one hand, while his other hand went to gently grip your throat.
“Did you know she wasn’t my kid! Did you know she was fucking Kamun all this time behind my back!” He yelled in your face while adding more pressure to the hand on your throat. You quickly shook your head no, you had no idea she had been doing all this behind his back.
“She barely told me this morning after you found them!” You let out weakly as your eyes went wide, tears pooling. Looking down at your wide tear filled eyes, the way your mouth formed an o shape, and the light red painting your cheeks filled him with a primal instinct. He took advantage of his height over you and pulled you in for a kiss, his hold loosening around your throat allowing you to breathe. The gasp you let out worked to his advantage as he slipped his tongue inside your open mouth, tasting you again after so many years. You quickly returned the kiss, slipping your own tongue into his mouth as you two gave into each other after so many years. He quickly began trailing wet, hot kisses down your throat nipping at your skin with his fangs lightly as he trailed down. He found your collarbone and began sucking, knowing he was going to leave marks for everyone to see. His hand went to your breast kneading them and pinching your nipples through your top as your hands went down to his loincloth, desperate to untie it. He quickly pulled his head up next to your ear whispering about all the things he was going to do to you.
“It’s only fair I fuck her friend if she’s been fucking mine behind my back for years.” He growled into your ear as his hands ripped off your top, followed by your loincloth. He threw them to the floor as you did the same, ripping off his loincloth finally freeing his hard cock. He quickly took you both to the ground, letting his body fall over yours spreading your legs wide for him. His head went down to your nipples again, rolling one by one in his mouth as his fingers went down to your pussy. He quickly swiped his thumb over your slit, searching for your clit and when he found it he began rubbing hard circles over your clit, making your squirm. You slipped one hand down and cupped his heavy balls giving them a light squeeze and tug, while your other hand pumped his cock, collecting the precum that beganleaking out of his swollen tip. He applied more pressure on your clit, rubbing fast and tight circles wanting to feel your cum over his hand. The feeling of his mouth sucking on your nipples and his fingers rubbing tight circles on your needy clit made you fall over the edge. You came biting down on his shoulder as you felt your legs shake, instinctively wrapping around his waist wanting more friction. As you came down from your high your hand came up to grip onto his shoulders. He took this chance and with one hand on his cock, he grabbed it from the base as he began sliding it over your wet cunt coating it with your slick. The feeling of his cock sliding over your clit began forming that familiar coil at the base of your belly as you bit down on your lip, not being able to take it anymore.
“Please Neteyam, fill me with your cock.” You all but pleaded, as your hips began thrusting against his cock sliding over your clit having imagined this moment for years.
“Oh I am gonna fill you up, I'm gonna cum in you. Gonna make sure I put a baby in you that is mine.” He said heatedly in your ear as he began teasing your entrance with the tip of his cock. You couldn't take it anymore and grabbed his cock with your hand as you guided the tip to your entrance. You gave him one final look and he pushed him inside you, and he followed your lead and slowly slid inch by inch. When he finally bottomed out you could feel his heavy sack lay against your ass perfectly, as if it was always meant to be like that. You quickly gave a small thrust indicating for him to move and that’s all it took for him to start thrusting. He began by pulling out almost all the way, just slam back in you, causing your legs to tighten around his hips. He kept this hard rhythm of pulling out just to thrust back in, until your pussy clenching around him made him want more. He threw both of your legs over his shoulder and he began fucking you like a wild animal. The feeling of his veiny cock slipping in and out of your wet pussy was everything you had ever wanted. The slick collected from the both of you dripping down your ass, as his hips kept slamming into you. You couldn’t help but reach your hand down rubbing tight circles on your clit wanting to feel yourself cum again. You began to feel your legs twitch as the head of his cock slipped over that spongy part inside of you over and over again. You used your free hand to reach down and you began tugging on his balls, feeling his cock twitch inside of you, ready to cum. As you sped up the circles on your clit your pussy began clenching around him, sucking him in even more. The tight circles on your clit, his throbbing cock inside of you, and sounds of your wet pussy all threw you over the edge. You came with a cry, clenching around his cock as you felt his hips lose control and his cock twitch inside of you. With three final hard thrusts, he came immediately after you, biting down on your shoulder with his fangs. You felt his hot white cum coat your insides in thick ribbons of cum as it slowly began to drip out of you down your ass, as he slowed his hips. He slowly leaned back, kneeling in between your legs as he pulled you all the way back laying your thighs over his wrapping your legs around his waist, with his cock still deep inside of you. He put you at angle so that your hips were tilted up as he collected the cum that leaked out as rubbed your clit slowly causing you to shiver.
“You will give me a baby that’s mine.” Is all he said as he leaned down kissing your lips softly and you couldn't help but moan into the kiss in agreement. After all, this is all you had been waiting for.

love love love the maid fic you posted so much. it had me spiraling with thoughts of single dad (Widower? widower.) König with live in nanny reader. she is so soft and sweet and the little boy adores her, plus she's a great cook and tries her best to include König in activities with his son whenever he's off from deployment, insists that he sits with them as she reads bedtime stories for the kiddo. I mean, she's basically his wife already, there's just the consummation ring missing, right?
JESUS
You know the stereotype about women wanting to kidnap a man when they see him walk a dog because hey, he must be great with kids if he can keep a dog alive? That a man owning a dog basically means that this guy is husband & dad material and must now be trapped?
König is exactly like that with women who are good with kids!
And I have to emphasize that König does not have a mommy kink. He does NOT have a mommy kink. No, never. He only has raging mommy issues.
But… (there’s always a but)
Our man has to fight back actual tears when he listens to the bedtime story. This woman’s voice is so soft, she’s great at what she does, but it triggers all his childhood trauma – no one ever read to him when he was a child :( He was just told to play by himself and go to bed and stay there, be quiet while his parents watch late night TV.
So now he's sucking it all in like a sponge: her bright eyes, her enthusiastic voice that has the curious effect of both soothing and stimulating him, the way she acts the stories she tells. Is it perverse to feel both aroused and sleepy when you're listening to a woman tell a bedtime story...? (He's asking for a friend)
He also can’t take it how his son is looking up at this lady with pure fascination as she tells those stories, straight out of her head, by the way, because she has an amazing imagination. She's a natural storyteller and her little tales are usually much better and more vivid than what’s going on in children’s books. König’s son is soon asking to “hear that story about the squirrel who went fishing” or asking if he could “please hear that story about the lone warrior one more time” and König is just melting on the inside when she smiles, draws breath, and starts to tell the same fable for the 6th time this week.
The atmosphere in his house has changed so much, there’s warmth and smiles and playfulness now, instead of sorrow and silence and despair. His son is coming out of his shell, and König himself is absolutely thriving. He can’t wait to get home and bask in this new warm glow, his crazy high libido has returned too. This woman is like a magical remedy to all his problems.
He starts to treat the lady like she’s his wife; she’s basically a stepmom to his son already. Plus a man like him can’t envision himself as being single and going on casual dates. He needs to marry again, can’t you see? His son needs a mom, and he needs a wife to come back home to! It’s the natural order of things, and he sees the perfect wife candidate right in front of him ❤️
...Also trust it to König wondering if it would be solely wrong to poke a few holes in the condoms they use when she finally understands what a great idea it would be to surrender to him and his impeccable love. He only has her best interest in mind, and let's be honest, she can't find a more devoted father for her kids! He only wants to provide for his growing family and wife-to-be, is that so bad? ❤️

'I promise you will never feel alone again.'
Tumblr media
You were the only one who had ever seen him and continued to live another day. Him. Sihtric Kjartansson. The vampire of Bebbanburg, as townsfolk called him in whispers. They would never dare to say the title out loud, for the fright of summoning him to their door or window in the dead of night, where he would enchant them with his eyes to invite him in. Fear for the bloodthirsty creature was settled deeply into the bones of everyone in town, and even beyond, even if no one had actually truly seen him in the flesh, with their own eyes. And those who had, didn't live to tell the tale.
And before you had laid eyes on him, you had also only heard the stories, like everyone else. Stories that were told to children in a candlelit bedroom, when it was dark outside. Stories that were told to keep young adults away from the castle at the beach. Stories that made parents and grandparents barricade their doors and nail shut their windows, when the days became shorter and the nights longer. And the story you knew had been told to you by your grandma, when you were young, on a cold October night.
'Sihtric Kjartansson,' she had said as she tucked you in, and you asked about the tale, 'was a warrior when he possessed a beating heart still, hundreds of years ago. Skilled with sword, blade and axe all the same. Strong and handsome he was too, and still is, even after he was cursed with eternal life and a hunger for blood. And ever since he turned, he only leaves the castle at night. He is the one who roams in the shadows. He is the one who peeks through the tiny gap in your curtains. He is the one who scratches softly at your door. His fangs are sharper than those of a wolf, and his eyes… he is capable of sending a shiver down even the Devil's own spine. He never aged since the day he was bitten by God knows what kind of foul creature, nor did he ever lose his charm or strength. And one look into his mismatched eyes is enough to fall under his spell. The vampire is not to be trusted, no matter how sweet his words or how breathtaking his beauty.'
And back then, like every child, you thought it was just a story to keep you up at night and away from the castle during your teens. But as you grew older and came to witness the many rotting bodies that were discovered throughout the years in the river, completely deprived of blood, fear for the vampire had also settled deeply into your bones.
And that night, before you saw him, before you fell under his spell, you felt a shiver go down your spine as you made haste to go home, remembering the story your grandma had told you many years ago, as it was once again a cold October night. Being one of the few healers in town meant you often were called to help people, no matter the time, and that night you only just left a poorly sick man near midnight, having spent hours making concoctions to treat the man's pain. But you knew just like him; his time was up, the sickness had gotten him in its claws. And when the family requested to say goodbye in peace, you left them and went on your way home.
You made haste past the town's square and past the church. And you stopped in front of the entrance of the fogged up graveyard next to it. The graveyard was a shortcut to your home, which you gladly used during the day, but always avoided at night. And yet, for some reason you contemplated taking the shortcut that night, as you desperately wanted to go home and safely lock the door behind you.
After taking a deep breath, you stepped into the fog. You weren't able to walk as fast as you wished, as you needed to mind your step. The graveyard was old and not in use anymore. Over time, crosses and headstones had broken and fallen over, making it a hazard to walk over its hallowed ground in the dark. Luckily, the full Moon accompanied you, but the thick fog that reached up to your knees was still reason enough to be cautious. And halfway through the graveyard, you suddenly stopped upon hearing the sound of a whimper. You held your breath as you looked around, but everything was quiet again and nothing to be seen as you stood there for seconds, listening.
And just when you hiked your skirt up again to continue your walk, and the moon hid behind a sudden cloud, the faint sound returned. You stepped closer into its direction as it continued, worried that someone had also meant to take a shortcut and had fallen over the countless broken memorial pieces, thus getting hurt. As a healer, you could never turn away from a cry for help, no matter how faint, no matter how late at night.
As you closed in on the soft cries, you found a man down on his knees, his back towards you as he was bent over something he cradled in his arms. You felt a sudden uneasiness creep over you as you stepped closer in the mist. And when the moon suddenly reappeared again, you saw that what he was holding in his arms, was the now lifeless body of who's whimpers you had heard only seconds before, while life was being sucked out. And that's when you knew that the man who had his back turned to you was him. Him. Sihtric Kjartansson, the vampire of Bebbanburg. The one who had terrorised this town for centuries, and continued to do so.
You had caught him in the act of feasting, a horrible act you had only heard stories about.
You held your breath as you stared at his broad back, your heart beating so loud it caught his attention. Then, with a thump, the vampire dropped the still warm body down onto the cold, wet grass, and the thick fog suddenly disappeared as he got up from his knees. You were frozen, nailed to the ground as he turned towards you and snapped his head up. The bright moon light revealed his awfully pale skin, and his lips, curled into a smile, were painted red with fresh blood, which dripped down his chin. Then, in the blink of an eye, the vampire suddenly stood in front of you, faster than humanly possible, and he towered over you as you became trapped with your back against an old, broken mausoleum. The vampire chuckled and wiped his mouth with his hand, only to then lick the blood off his own pale, tattooed fingers. And a devilish smile revealed his sharp, red stained teeth.
'Are you lost, little girl?' Sihtric asked, his voice warm and honeyed, whereas the hand that gently brushed your cheek was cold and rough.
And then, foolishly, you stared up into his mismatched eyes.
'Do you know it is not safe for,' Sihtric licked his lips and exhaled sharply, 'such a beautiful lady to be out on her own, this late at night?' he took your chin, 'perhaps, you were hoping to find someone who will take you home with them, hm?'
'Perhaps,' you breathed, enchanted by his piercing eyes.
'Perhaps?' he smiled and leaned in, his lips grazed your ear before he deeply inhaled your scent, 'perhaps you wish to tell me the reason our paths have crossed tonight?' he asked, and ran his tongue over your neck.
'I… I am a healer,' you said, just as Sihtric had unclenched his jaw, ready to sink his teeth in your flesh and draw your blood, 'I was merely on my way home after a house visit,' you continued.
And then he slowly pulled away to stare down into your eyes again.
'A healer, you say?' he asked, intrigued, 'what a sweet thing you must be,' he said, 'helping the people of this town. You must know all those who are sickly and those who are healthy, no?'
'Perhaps,' you smiled, completely smitten.
Often, when people spoke of the vampire, they spoke of a wild, savage man. A beast, a creature of the night. But the man in front of you, just as your grandma had told you, was a handsome, charming man, despite his long messy hair and the several scars that graced his pale face. His dark cloak was thick, made of good fur, and his leather tunic underneath showed he was a wealthy man. He was mysterious, his calm energy captivated you, and you couldn't tear your eyes off him.
'Perhaps,' Sihtric chuckled softly, realising he had a use for you, 'then perhaps,' the vampire spoke with a smoky voice, 'will you allow me to invite you to my castle, my lady?' he asked and held his hand out.
And without the ability to think for yourself, you allowed him to take your hand, upon which he pressed a kiss, before he took you to his castle.
The castle of Bebbanburg.
Tumblr media
'So tell me,' the vampire husked as he left soft, wet kisses on your neck, 'do you have a husband? Or anyone else who shouldn't know about our time together tonight?'
'No,' you giggled upon his hungry touch while you sat in front of his fireplace, in his castle, 'no husband. And everyone I loved has unfortunately passed already, due to the sickness. I'm... I'm all alone.'
'Poor little girl,' Sihtric purred, his fangs lightly touching your neck, 'I promise you will never feel alone again.'
You gazed into the creature's eyes when he pulled away. Those eyes which had been so dark when you met, but seemed softened now as he leaned in. The fire crackled softly, and when Sihtric's lips met yours for a passionate kiss, you closed your eyes and surrendered. His hands moved all over your warm skin, while you grabbed onto every piece of his clothing you possibly could, wanting to keep him close.
Once you were both completely stripped of clothes, and you felt him inside you, you wrapped your arms and legs around him and felt weightless. It felt as if your whole world was turned upside down as you made love with him. Him. The vampire, who kissed and licked every inch of your body, and whispered sweet, haunting words in your ear in between his kisses. And when you opened your eyes again, you were pinned up against the high ceiling of the castle, safely wrapped in Sihtric's arms as you continued to enjoy each other. Then, when you both reached your high after hours and hours of love making, he cut your lip with his sharp nail and kissed you deeply as he drank you, just a little taste he couldn't resist.
Sihtric moaned and whined as his intense grip held you in place, struggling to contain himself as you had the sweetest blood he had ever tasted in his neverending lifetime. He wanted to drain you of your vital fluid. But he also wanted to use you. Use you for his own benefit.
The vampire had grown tired of hunting his meals as of late.
Each night he would go out and stalk his prey, after sniffing them out for hours, making sure it would be a good feast of clean blood. There was a sickness spreading in the country, and it became harder each night to find healthy blood around town. And since you are a healer, you knew exactly who is healthy and whose blood was contaminated already. You could perhaps lure the healthy townsfolk into a trap, one by one, for Sihtric to drink.
He contemplated his options as he held you in his arms, the taste of your fresh blood lingering on his tongue. But then, when you closed your eyes again and wrapped your arms around his neck a little tighter, lovingly, a whole new hunger washed over him. After he carefully brought you back down onto the furs, in front of his fireplace, he became overwhelmed with the urge to make you his wife. To grant you eternal life by his side. And when you fell asleep in his arms, he made no attempt to get rid of you, as he would have done with any other lady he had lured into his castle.
Instead, he slowly dragged his lips over your neck and allowed himself a little more of your taste, but carefully, so as not to kill you or harm you.
Tumblr media
You slept for days on end, waking up only for several minutes before dozing off again. Each time you woke up you remembered your time with Sihtric. How he had made you feel loved while making love to you, and how you felt safe in his arms after he had tired you out. You desperately longed for his touch and dreamed of him every time your eyes fell shut again. You dreamt how he would enter your sleeping chamber, and would caress your cheek and kiss your lips, before he'd gently move your hair out of your neck, to leave soft kisses on your skin. A pleasant dream it was, which reoccurred every few hours.
After several days you finally felt like you had regained some of your strength again, and you dressed up after you bathed. By the time you were ready to leave the chamber you had slept in, it was night time again.
You quietly strolled down the endless spiralling stairs of the large castle, holding a torch in your hand to illuminate your path, until you reached the massive living room again. You couldn't recall how many days ago it was since you had last been there, but you felt strangely at home in the seemingly empty room.
'I take it you feel better?' Sihtric's voice startled you as he stepped out of a dark corner, 'you have been asleep for many days.' He gently took your face in his cold hands, 'Have I been too much for you, perhaps?'
'No,' you felt your cheeks heat, and your head was spun upon the sight of him, 'no, you have not been too much. I just cannot remember a time I ever had such a good rest or… such a good lover.'
'Both which you deserved,' he smiled, 'come,' he said and took your hand, 'dine with me. I have an important question to ask, my lady.'
Eyes big with surprise and admiration, you allowed Sihtric to guide you through a large, dark hallway, into his warm, cosy dinner area. A large table was set for only two, but it could easily fit up to fifty guests. Sihtric helped you take a seat, and then sat down next to you, at the head of the table. He was, afterall, the man of the castle. The candles in front of you casted a comforting glow on his pale skin, making him look more… alive. And you smiled softly at him when he took your hand.
'Is it not lonely to live in a place like this all alone?' you asked.
'Who says I live alone?' Sihtric smiled.
'You… do not?'
'I have people here,' he said, 'not in a romantic way,' he reassured you quickly, 'only you have managed to wake something up inside of me that had been asleep for centuries.'
You blushed upon the charming man's words. No man had ever made you feel special in ways he seemed to do so effortlessly.
'I have a gift for you,' Sihtric said and reached inside the pocket of his long, black robe.
He took out a golden necklace with a small, amber pendant, and moved behind you to attach it around your neck.
'There,' he said, his hands lingered on your shoulders a little longer before he sat back in his seat again.
'Do you have a mirror?' you asked, 'so I can see how it looks on me?'
'Of course, my lady,' Sihtric said and was quick to pick up a reflective dinner plate from the table, which he then held up to you.
'Oh, Sihtric. It's beautiful,' you gasped at the sight of the necklace, 'thank you.'
You smiled a little shyly as you kept staring at the necklace, but then, when you brushed your hair back over your shoulder, your eyes suddenly caught two dark marks on your neck. And you froze. Sihtric's face grew confused, then concerned when he noticed what you had discovered.
'You… you have been… d-drinking me?' you stammered, hurt and betrayed.
'I can explain,' Sihtric said, calmly.
But the fear that was deeply rooted into your bones suddenly made you snap out of your love-like trance. You jumped up, causing the heavy, oaken chair tip over behind you with a loud thump, and you quickly stepped back as Sihtric tried to reach for your hand.
'Please,' he said, almost desperate, 'allow me to explain!'
'No, you…,' you breathed heavily as you backed away, 'you were really there- there, in my chamber, weren't you? All those dreams were… they were real? You've been feeding off me. You've been slowly killing me!' you cried out, and Sihtric tried to take your hand again.
You screamed and ran, quickly grabbing one of the torches on the wall behind you, and you held it towards Sihtric as he closed in on you.
'No!' he shouted, and with a loud hiss he covered his face with his arms.
And then, he exploded in a swarm of a thousand bats, which went up all the way to the high ceiling, and out the window, into the dark night. And you ran. You ran as fast as you could, torch in hand, down the first stairs you saw, hoping to escape the castle. The staircase seemed to spiral down endlessly, until you finally reached a cold, dark hallway. A foul smell overwhelmed your senses, and as you peeked into one of the basement chambers, you found the stench was caused by uncountable rotting corpses, which had all been drained of blood some time ago. You gagged at the sight, and smell, and you ran back up the stairs.
Panicked and completely out of breath, you ended up in the dinner room again, and as you turned to run towards the living room, you suddenly collided into Sihtric, who grabbed your arms and shoved you harshly against the wall.
'Why!' he shouted, 'why must you run!?'
'Because you are a murderer!' you cried out, 'a… a horrible creature! I and... I thought I loved you!'
'I could've given you the world,' Sihtric said softly, his eyes teared up as he took your face in his cold hand, 'I fell in love with you. I was only preparing you for eternal life, with me. But… but you don't deserve it,' his pained face became furious, 'you don't deserve it! And now you- you have forced me to kill you! I did not want this!'
'No, please-' you begged.
'There is no other way,' he exhaled, and a tear fell down his face as he leaned his forehead against yours, 'I am sorry, my sweet thing. But I cannot let one live to tell the tale. The real tale.'
'Please, no, we… we can try!' you whimpered, 'we can try and be together?' you bargained for your life, 'please!'
'No,' Sihtric whispered, his lips touching your ear, 'you are afraid. I can smell it. If you are afraid of me, it means we are not destined. No matter how much it hurts me,' he swallowed hard, 'maybe, we will find each other in another life.'
'No! Please!' you cried as his teeth sank in your neck.
And it only took seconds before your body went numb and your eyes heavy, and then, everything went dark.
The vampire held you in his arms as he kneeled down, and he cried. For the first time in centuries he truly cried.
'I'm sorry,' Sihtric whispered as he cried, and he kissed your lips one last time, 'I promise I will find you, my love, when you are ready for us to be together. No matter how much time will pass, we will find each other again. I promise,' he said and a tear fell down on your face, 'I promise, little bat.'
And only days later, after having lived for centuries, Sihtric welcomed his death, when a sudden army of townsfolk stormed the castle. Still heartbroken over you, he never fought back when they chained him up, and tied him to a pole on a hill. Sihtric never attempted to escape, which he could have done so easily. Instead, he gladly accepted his fate of being burned at stake by sunlight, with the whole town to witness it. But before the vampire would burn, the people took another opportunity to hurt the monster that had taken so many lives without any punishment.
And a silver sword was pushed into his waist, seconds before the sun appeared.

☁︎ tsu'tey's daughter ☁︎
Tumblr media
Neteyam x Daughter Tsu'tey! Reader!
Warnings: Light angst. Depressed reader. Abusive/toxic mother. Not proof read.
synopsis : After Tsu'Tey's death, you were raised alone by your mother, Rhi'all. Best female hunter of the clan. However, best the daughter of quite a high ranking, meant expectations that you weren't seemingly born for, and that was what actually drew Neteyam to you. Your passion for healing, armoured off by the preassure of being a warrior.
Tumblr media
Today was like any other day.
You had an argument with your mother to start off your 'lovely' day. Next off, you flew on your Ikran, scoping out sky people, marking where theywere on a piece of -what the lab people call- paper. She let out a breath, and after her morning chore, she headed back to the omaticaya clan base hidden in the moutains to keep away from the demons. Her and her purple and blue Ikran pulled up and she kissed his snout before making her way over to the Sully family, more pacificly, Toruk Makto, Jake Sully, the Olo'eyktan.
"Y/n." He said, smiling as the girl walked over. She was slim and blue, with adnormally short black hair. But some reason your hair mever grew passed your shoulders, so you just tried to own it. And for your eyes, that matched Tsu'Tey's to a T. That's probably why Neytiri amd Jake Sully were so protective of you. "Hello mr and mrs. Sully." She greeted, her voice actually quite motherly. "I have the wereabouts." She said, handing them the paper which Jake took and scanned his eyes over. "Well done, Little one." Neytiri petted your hair, and Y/n left.
She went back to her Ikran, pnly to hear a squeal of fear. She grabbed her weapons and bolted towards it, into the trees where she saw the Sully's youngest, Tuktiery with an angry Thanator approching her. Y/n jumped infront of her and hissed at the beast, which roared back at her. Y/n got herself ready, gripping the blade in her four fingered palm, standing infront of Tuk who stared at her bewildered and frightened.
The thanator went for her and she roared and went back, using her skills. As she fought it off, protecting Tuktiery, Neteyam and Lo'ak arrivied, staring at the scene with wide orbs. "That's Y/n! Her father was the great Tsu'Tey!" Lo'ak whispered to Neteyam, "Who fought beside dad!". "I know.." Neteyam replied, seeing her, her arm sliced and soon she was slammed to the floor, and Neteyam lifted his bow'n arrows, shooting at the beast that roared out in pain, then growled at him.
As the Thanator was distracted with Lo'ak and Neteyam, Y/n lunged forward and stabbed her blade straight into its nap, regretting it instantly, but it was that or possibly four deaths, inculding a child under the age of ten. She couldn't let that happen. "Your time on pandora was served well brother, now you may walk alongside Eywa." she endee his life quickly, speaking her words in Na'vi before dashing over to Tuk, checking her.
"Are you alright? How's your body? Any scratches or bites? Anything?" Y/n asked and Neteyam smiled softly. There was his Y/n. They grew up aschild hood best friends, being only two months apart in age, Neteyam being older. He loved the real Y/n. Sensetive, gentle, fragile. Not this.. warrior machine her mother forced her to play. God, they used to be so close until her mother drove them apart. Speaking of her mother...
"Y/n!". An angered filled voice yelled and Y/n whipped her head around, neeting the eyes of her mother, Rhi'all. She gulped before speaking. "Mother, what os the matter?" She asked and the female omaticaya snarled. "Is this where you have been, slacking off, and infront of the Olo'eyktan children of all." Could herm other not see the blood staining her body, or the dead thanator behid her? "N-no mother.. I fought the thanator to save Tukt-". "I do not want to hear your nonsense! Home, now."
Y/n gave the siblings a dry wave, but before her hand could completely fall, it was grasped in the palm of Neteyam, who glared at her mother with inflamed golden orbs. "She saved my younger sister from a thanator, show her some respect." He spoke sternly, and the shock of everyones faces was definetly readable. "Excuse me, boy?" She asked, but it was then that Jake arrived. "I saw everything." He said, and went over to Y/n. "Thank you..".
He then turned to Rhi'all, "She fought the Thanator bravely. Rhis girl needs rest." He spoke and her mother only replied with taking her daughters hand and ripping her from Neteyam, dragging her away. She glanced back at her old friend and gave a gently wave with her free hand, which made him wave back, then look down, feeling defeated once again by that wicked na'vi. "We should set mommy on her." Tuk huffed and Jake chuckled, picking her up. "Or your grandmother.".
Y/n stood in the training area, panting as her mother kept throwing diffrent challenges at her, each harder than the last, by god she was exhausted. Her body, her small, gentle hands, her kind expression.. she wasn't meant to be this sort of na'vi. She wpuld make the perfect healer, but ever since the death of her great father, she was cursed to live up to him, a curse set by her mother.
"Mother, I can not do anymore.. please, let us sit..?" She asked, leaning down to place her hands on her knees, exhausted. Little did she knew, a pair of eyes were watching, golden and sharp. "No, you Train!" She yelled but Y/n had, had enough. "No! My body is on fire, mother! I just need ten minutes to regain myself!" She barked and suddenly felt a stinging pain on her cheek. Rhi'all had slapped her.
"You are disapointment to your father!" She screeched and Y/n felt like her heart had been pierced. "You nothing like hi-". "And I never will be! I'm me, mother! I will never be anything more! So just... grow up and deal with it! Your like a baby!" Y/n yelled back and her mother hissed at her, but just before Y/n could hiss back, a deeper hiss arrupted. She turned and saw Neteyam, and his family behind him. "Never, lay a hand, on her.." he snarled and Y/n stared slightly wide eyed.
It was then Neytiri approched and went right up to her, staring her down with an evil look. "She does not dissapoint Tsu'tey.. you do." She said, theb turned to Y/n and placed a hand on her head. "Come, we are going to redo some beads as they are dirtying. Join." She offered and Y/n gulped, was she really about to walk away from her mother. Seems that choice was taken when Tuk grabbed her hand, "lets put beads in your hair!" She giggled and began to drag her, making her squeak in surprise.
Neteyam smiled softly and followed after, but got stopped by his father who looked down at him. "You should tell her today, son. Only then, can we protect her." He said and Neteyam nodded, "yes sir." When they arrived bacl at the Sully's hut, she allowed Tuk to sit her down and do her short hair. Kiri helped the youngest aswell, smirking at Neteyam as her hair was beaded nicely, with a bit of help from Neytiri.
Neteyam couldn't help but stare. He'd never seen Y/n look.. girlish and pretty. He swallowed, then stood up and cleared his throat. "I wish to take Y/n somewhere." No more needed to be said, everyone nodded and he held his hand out to the girl who was confused, but nodded and walked away with him. "Where we going, Neteyam?" She asked and he chuckled, "you'll see. Come on!" He took her away from the moutain hide out and climbed down to the forest below. "Are we allowed here?" She asked and he nodded, "With me, you are.".
They came to the forest, and she remembered how her fathers life was taken here by the sky people, and how Jake Sully ended his pain by finishing him. "Why are we here, Neteyam..?" She asked, and he slipped his hand into hers. "You'll see.." he pulled her along, going over a large log where the trees never parted, making it ahole lot darker even in the evening. She followed, holding his hand, her heart fluttering from the contact. She knew her feelings for him since childhood hadn't faded, she had just pushed them down as the years went on.
"Over here!" He said and took her to.. "The tree of Voices?" She asked, staring amamzing as their blye skin slightly illumated pink. Spinning frogs with almpst mushroom like heads went around them and Neteyam couldn't help but remember his mother describing it. Now he knew why she loved this memory. "Wow.. this is amazing Neteyam. But why are we here?" She asked, holding her arms out as they walked, letting the pink vines hit her scarred skin and wave over her.
"My father told me a story.." he started. "He said that, if you were to..confess your love for someone here.. Eywa would guide you down the right path.." he swallowed and Y/n's eyes widened slightly, and he turned away slightly, making her tilt her head. "If you do not accept my feelings.. I understand. We aren't as close as we used to be.." he said gently, but then heard Y/n giggle and turned back to her.
"Neteyam.." she said gently, then sighed and grabbed his hand, making him fully turn to face him. "I see you.." she said and his ears twitched. If his face didn't give away his reactipn, his tail certainly did, swaying quickly as if he would take off in flight. "I-I see you.. Y/n..". With that, she slowly moved her hand, cupping his cheek lovingly and he leant into her touch, then slowly placed his hands on her waist and pulled her body closer to his.
"Oh and um.. your father, would never be disapointed in you.. Y/n.." he said, flustered and she giggled. "Kiss me, Neteyam." He placed his lips on hers and she felt fireworks go off in her heart, and butterflies in her stomach. A sicky feeling bit she knew that was a good thing. As they kissed, Neteyam reached back and took his braid in his hand, bringing it over his shoulder and she did the same. They pulled away slightly, inches away and slowly, staring into eachothers eyes, they connected.
A small sigh excaped their lips, and Neteyam hugged her closely. "I promise to protect you from now on.." he whispered. He knew they weren't fully mated yet, but he knew neither of them were ready to.. do that- but this was enough. "My love..". He said gently and she sighed, melting into him. "I know you will... ma'neteyam..".

Omg I love your writinggggggg. We need that religious kink with Aegon (or Aemond), we know their mother had to have accidentally given these boys some religious trauma on top of their horrible daddy and mommy issues djdkjdndmd —@thattargboy (on anon cuz it’s a sideblog)
So. I had a hard time with this one but I loved it. When it comes to religious trauma there’s so many angsty ideas that pop into my head. So def went darker than intended. Hope you like it though!!! @thattargboy

Father, Mother, Maiden, Warrior, Smith, Crone, and Stranger
The statues stood tall in the great Sept besides the faceless Stranger. Candles were lit, people praying to the gods quietly. Knelt down, lips mumbling and begging. You kneeled at the feet of the Mother, praying for her patience and strength.
He was behind you.
Aegon hated the Sept, avoided it at all costs much to your own Mother’s chagrin. He took after most male Targaryens, fashioned themselves closer to gods than man. High in the sky on gleaming, golden Sunfyre. You felt he would burn ten times hotter than any dragon flame in the Seven Hells.
You didn’t know why he accompanied you today. Prick preferred to waste away drunk in Flea Bottom or go take his dragon on a reckless joyride. You shook the moron out of your thoughts to pray.
Most devout Mother, grant me your kindness, wisdom, and love for all.
Save me from my wicked blood.
Save my children from abomination they had no choice.
O benevolent mother, please.
“Is this what you do all day?,” he drawled. Aegon leant on a column lazily, lidded eyes glassy. Your lips twitched but you remained placid. Turning to face your husband, and brother, you said, “No Aegon. This is one of the many things I do in a day.” Not like he cared.
Aegon yawned, “So exciting.”
Your chest tightened in anger. The hot headed dragon blood did not like being smothered like this. Aegon snorted, “They’re not real. I don’t know why you waste your time.” You couldn’t help but tighten cold hands in your dress hard as possible.
Angry tears welled up in your eyes, but you remained silent and hoped he would get the hint and leave. Nope. You heard his boots scuffle to your side, the prince falling to his knees. Your own lilac orbs met violet. He raised an amused brow, getting closer into your space. You snapped your head away with a huff.
“What do you want? I figured you’d burn up stepping foot in here.”
Aegon’s pouty lips turned down. He mumbled, “That’s what mother always said,” the blonde jerked his chin towards the statue, “I always prayed to her and received nothing.”
Exasperated, you deadpanned, “Because you defile all of her daughters. Really, why are you here?”
“Our actual mother told me to come see you. Said it might save me from my wicked blood to sit with my pious sister.”
Aegon looked more uncomfortable and downcast, eyes dropping to the floor. You eyed him coolly before remarking, “She won’t answer our prayers because we’ve committed a grave sin. Marrying blood into blood like the dragon does.” You looked up at the carved statue, face loving but cold as the stone it was made from.
Your brother laughed, “If we’re doomed why waste your time here dear sister?”
Finally you snapped at him, “I believe that maybe she will pity me for being married to my own brother, one who is a drunkard that lies with whores until he’s sick with it!”
He flinched as if struck, pale curls swishing as he turned away. Your eyes flickered down to his pallid hands, trembling at his sides. Guilt ate at you— hate begets hate. You stammered, “I- I’m sorry Aegon, please.”
His gaze flashed back at you with a newly found anger. Aegon hissed, “What makes you so high and mighty sister? Because Otto and Alicent like you so much? You’re no better than me looking down on everyone like you do.” He gripped at your wrist and yanked you forward.
Aegon’s snarling face was mere inches from you now, wine on his breath per usual. His cheeks were flushed and eyes wild. You hated how handsome your husband was. All of the Targaryens were ethereally beautiful like that— making attraction almost inevitable.
“S-stop. I said I was sorry,” you murmured.
He growled, “Apologize to the Mother then. Apologize to our mother for spurning your brother while you’re at it.” You whimpered softly, eyelashes fluttering under the pressure. Alicent was the last thing you wanted to think about when Aegon was stirring up unholy feelings. Anger, lust, you couldn’t tell.
The elder sibling wrangled you back up, tucking himself behind, knees caging your legs in. You whispered in shock, “A-Aegon? What are you doing? People will see!” His chin came to nestle on your shoulder, hands came round to clasp over your own.
“We’re only a couple praying. They wouldn’t dare approach when the white knights are about.”
His hips were flush with your ass, cock throbbing between your cheeks. You whimpered again, face reddening in embarrassment. He rutted against the giving flesh softly, purring, “C’mon and pray for your dear brother’s salvation.”
“Y-you’re ma-my husband,” you said.
“Knew you as my lovely sister first,” Aegon mused.
He rutted harder, gasping into your neck. He licked and sucked at the soft skin, you moaning before cutting the sound off. One of Aegon’s ringed hands snuck between your legs. He growled, “Pray for me now. Save me from the fires of hell.”
You felt woozy, limbs wobbly and weak. Your husband’s fingers drug against your sensitive bundle of nerves, shame and desire overtaking any rational thought. You warbled, “O Mother, please save us from sin. Forgive my brother for he knows not your forgiveness, ah!”
Aegon was panting now as he used your body for pleasure. He whimpered, “G-good, keep going, so sweet.” The blonde’s fingers slid through your slick to glide easier around your button. Your thighs trembled while you recited, “Save your child from the fires of the Seven hells, smile upon thee O Mother!”
He groaned desperately, moving faster and faster. Your own breath was a nervous staccato, quivering hands wringing together. You whined, “No more, I’ve prayed, Aegon!” His swirling digits paused while he smugly joked, “Say stop and I will.”
It only took you a shameful beat before begging, “Please, please don’t stop Aegon.”
“That’s my sweet little sister.”
You shut your eyes, unable to take the shame. The Mother’s presence loomed over the pair of you— just like Alicent’s did. But he felt so good. Your head lolled upon his shoulder while you whined and gasped. Aegon groaned, “When we’re blood of dragonlords we don’t need this nonsense mother forces upon us,” he drug his fingertips up sharply, “If you want something, take it.”
You gasped and stilled in surprise, whining high in your throat as your cunt tightened and gushed between your taut thighs. Aegon cried out into the sept, echoing as he reached his peak. You felt his cock throbbing and leaking onto your fine dress, Aegon smiling against your mottled neck.
In a fit of clarity you scrambled from the elder sibling, feeling a retch bubble up. You cursed, “You’re sick! No one will ever love you— blackened and vile creature!” Aegon blinked out of his stupor, eyes suddenly going wide.
He murmured, “You don’t mean that. Don’t say that.”
Still sprawled haphazardly on the floor you reiterated, “No one will love a wretch like you Aegon, as much as you drown it out with the drink.”
The prince’s cheeks grew wet with tears, another shaky plea leaving his lips. He watched you get up and give another scathing look before stiffly walking away with a Kingsguard. His violet eyes looked up to the Mother. He screeched at the bitch. The dried spend in Aegon’s pants now felt disgusting. He was disgusting.

i‘m with you either way
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ lo’ak x metkayinan reader
You actually were listening to Lo’ak. And now you want to meet his tulkun friend.
Tumblr media
In the mid-afternoon sun, you sat with the Sully children on the rocks where the ocean met land, listening to Lo'ak's recollection of the events that happened the night he went missing. You had grown quite close with Tuk after teaching her and Neteyam how to ride their ilus, so the little one sat in your lap, as interested in her brother's words as you were.
He spoke with such conviction that you couldn't help but believe him, yet your Metkayinan brothers and sisters evidently didn't share the same sentiment. Tsireya, Ao'nung and Rotxo sat beside you, faces contorted in disbelief and amusement. You had to admit that the events Lo'ak had described sounded strange; as Tsireya had said, it wasn't Tulkun season, and Payakan was rumoured to be a killer. But on the other hand, how could he have made his way back to the village without his ilu, and why would he lie? You watched him from across the group; his eyes were sincere but irritated at the fact that nobody seemed to believe him.
"No, he isn't like that," Lo'ak retaliated, frustration evident on his face.
Neteyam rose to his feet, hands grasping Lo'ak's shoulders, "My baby brother, the mighty warrior who fought Payakan the killer and lived to tell about it," he teased with a playful grin.
"No," Lo'ak huffed, standing up, "You guys aren't listening."
"Lo'ak, I'm listening!" Tuk exclaimed from where she was sitting in your arms, but her words fell on deaf ears. As her older brother walked away,  she pivoted to you with a pout, "(Y/N), I was listening."
You frowned, gaze following Lo'ak's retreating figure, "I know, Tuk. So was I."
Your gaze shifted to glance towards Neteyam, who met your eyes in turn. A slight guilt misted his face, a soft sigh escaping his lips. He seemed to unwillingly upset his brother a lot, you noticed.
Despite her slight whine of protest,  you moved Tuk off your lap and stood up, shooting Neteyam a reassuring look, "I'll go talk to that skxawng."
Your feet sunk into the warm sand as you rushed to follow Lo'ak; he wasn't hard to miss amongst the sea of cyan Metkayinans. He was striding down the dock towards where the ilu gear was kept when you finally caught up to him.
"Lo'ak, wait!"
Upon hearing your voice, he spun to see you, a scowl on his face, "What? You here to tell me off too?"
You grimaced, slightly hurt by his accusatory gaze, "No, Lo'ak. I'm just worried about you."
Lo'ak rolled his eyes, scoffing irately, "You don't have to be! He is not a killer. He saved my life!"
"Lo'ak, I believe you!" You exclaimed at the stubborn boy. Your words seemed to finally calm him, and for once he listened intently, "It does sound... outlandish, but I can see you are telling the truth."
A hand scratched his head awkwardly as he sighed softly, eyes downcast in shame, "Thank you. Sorry for yelling at you."
"It's okay." You paused. The boy stood beside you awkwardly, lost for words; you figured it wasn't often that someone took his side. You ducked your head to catch his downward gaze, eyes curiously peering into his, "Can I meet him?"
Lo'ak smiled softly, eyes filling with hope, "Yeah," He breathed, grabbing an ilu harness to resume the action you had interrupted, "Come on."
He grabbed your hand, pulling you into the water with him. You landed with a splash before joining him on his ilu, your arms wrapping around his waist as he commanded the animal. It wasn't long before the two of you had made it outside the reef, the vast ocean surrounding you, as endless as the sky.
Lo'ak began calling for Payakan, and shortly the large tulkun appeared.
You gasped as the creature rose from the water, but a smile grew on your face and you released a gleeful laugh, excited hands gripping Lo'ak's biceps, "Lo'ak, it's really him!"
If you were completely honest, you didn't think the tulkun would actually show up, even if you did believe it had saved Lo’ak. As you had said, it seemed outlandish. But with the mighty creature before your eyes, the reality of Lo'ak's experience was undeniable. Payakan was actually here, and he sure didn't seem like the monster you had been taught he was.
Lo'ak started swimming towards his tulkun friend, the mighty creature bringing its fin to the surface for Lo'ak to sit on. Slightly wary, you lingered on the ilu, observing the greeting between the Omatikayan boy and his tulkun friend.
Payakan's eyes drifted from Lo'ak to your figure, and you couldn't help your nervous smile. Sure, you had been introduced to many tulkun before, but this particular one had chosen Lo'ak, and for some reason, it made you determined to make a good impression. Payakan seemed somewhat wary, but Lo'ak was quick to introduce you.
"This is (Y/N); she is my friend. You can trust her," He said, signing simultaneously to the best of his ability. He looked back at you, an inviting hand stretched towards you.
You slid off the ilu and swam closer to him, your hand meeting his, fingers intertwining, and he pulled you up onto the Tulkun's fin.
'I see you. It is nice to finally meet you.' You signed to Payakan. It seemed you had been nervous for nothing; the outcast tulkun made a joyful noise as it met your eye, and you smiled, glad to have been accepted by him.
'What are you doing here?' You continued accentuating it with a warm smile, hoping he understood it in a friendly way rather than accusing.
Payakan thought for a moment, a glint of sadness in his large eye. He responded, 'I am an outcast. I wander alone.' You saw deep suffering in his eyes, a creature at war with his own memories. As curious as you were to learn the truth about why he was outcast, and you decided it wasn't your place to pry.
Lo'ak looked between the two of you, offended. "Hey! You guys can't leave me out just 'cus in don't know your hand talk!" He pushed you off the tulkun's fin, and you splashed into the water below.
As you resurfaced, you rolled your eyes and went back to communicating with the tulkun with your hands, purposely to aggravate the forest boy. He splashed you playfully, but you didn't falter.
'You should have left that akula to eat him.' You signed, though you bore a cheeky grin on your face to let Payakan know you were joking.
Payakan's eyes seemed to smile, and his fin moved from under Lo'ak, making the boy sink into the water below next to you. The tulkun's large fin pressed down onto your heads, encouraging your bodies underwater to get the two of you to dive with him.
Lo'ak grabbed hold of your waist and guided you behind Payakan's fin, and the two of you held on to the large animal as it swam. And just when you thought your day couldn't possibly get any better, your eyes met Lo'ak's as you swam underwater. His lips held the biggest smile you had seen on him since he had arrived in Awa'atlu, and your heart grew for the outcast boy. You decided then that even the best sights of the ocean didn't hold a candle to his smile.
Eclipse began quicker than you would've liked, and although you didn't want to, you had to say goodbye to your new friend.
'I hope to see you soon, Payakan.' You signed, giving the tulkun a hug. Lo'ak beamed as he watched you longingly, a gentle smile on your face as you interacted with the creature. He felt as if he had finally done something right. Even if the whole world was against him, you were on his side, and surely that counted for something.
Wet footprints marked your trail as you and Lo'ak walked out of the water, hand in hand. You stood on the beach, facing each other in an unexpectedly intimate moment. You were both lost for words for a second, but before you could break the silence, Lo'ak spoke up, and you hung on his every word with bated breath.
"Thank you," He expressed, eyes as golden as the sun meeting yours, "for believing me. And everything else."
The corners of your lips twitched into a gentle smile, "Thank you, Lo'ak, for introducing me to Payakan. I had a lot of fun," You leaned closer to him, pressing a delicate kiss on his knuckles. You traced every one of his fingers, revelling in the uncharacteristic blush that crept onto his cheeks.
"Tonowari would be angry if he found out," you started, but looked back up as you continued, a rebellious smile on your face, "But you don't have to worry, I'll keep your secret."
He didn't respond, but he studied your face as if he was seeing you for the first time.
It became harder to resist the pull he felt towards you, like a moth to a flame. He found himself slowly leaning forward, eyes flittering as he watched for any sign of rejection, but he saw none. Your eager gaze stared back at his, and he swore he saw the stars in your eyes. With the confirmation that you wouldn't pull away, he met your lips with his in a blissful moment.
He hoped you saw him too.
