She wore a foaming wave as a rain cape, a swirl of absorbing water. When the storm was done, she deposited the water in a safe place - an unblocked drain, a field, an existing waterway. Sometimes she threw it at a rude motorist who didn’t respect pedestrians.

me going to the gym (at 6am cuz I’m secretly an old fart blessed with the gift of youth) thinking I’ll get to hang out with hot young people (like me) but as it turns out they’re all in their 40s and 50s with kids.

The cord you cannot see
The root of the cord that these two speak of and swear by, what is it.
Louis has come from a family where there has been love, food, positive relationships with siblings, known as the favoured by his father, trusted by his mother and where learning was celebrated. All to say this has given Louis the capacity to reflect, review and in spite of himself thrive and endure even in the worst of times.
Lestat has come from a family where love was in limited supply, food was scarce, relationships with siblings non-existent (in spite of him trying), beaten and mocked by his father, ignored by his mother and his desire to learn ripped from him. All this to say that this has given Lestat the capacity to explore, reinvent, forgive and in spite of himself love and endure even in the worst of times.
They are each other’s mirror's so becoming best friends, lovers and trusted counsel was easy.

Love never comes but at love's call,
And pity asks for him in vain;
Because I cannot give you all,
You give me nothing back again.

“When you’re among peaceful, generous, happy people, you’re inclined to feel happy and peaceful yourself. When you’re among angry, aggressive people, you tend to become like them. The human mind is like a mirror. A mirror does not discriminate but simply reflects whatever’s before it, no matter whether it’s horrible or wonderful.”

The Law of Attraction is a life-changing shift in mindset, attitude, and abundance. However, it is often misused and misinterpreted to victim-blame and "think" your way into achievement. While it's true that by believing you are worthy and capable of your dreams, you are more likely to ACT in a way that allows you to fulfill them, believing you can do it only gets you so far. Then you have to actually DO it. It's important to know the difference so that we can genuinely encourage one another rather than spread misguided and false hope.

Like attracts like.
That is a thing they say,
and, I'm sure there are exceptions, but generally speaking I believe this tenet.
I'm gonna try to keep that close to the forefront of my mind, as I see there being benefit to doing so~

was being edged by a girl earlier today and she goes, “have i ever told you how pretty your pussy is?” and i literally fucking whined, like yes i know but hearing people say it just does something to me and i get fucking dumb in the brain. she continued. “it’s so pretty. it takes my fingers so well” and i said yes, because i’m trying to behave and be good for her and respond as best i can. she laughs and says “no no, darling. i don’t understand you, not unless you speak in full sentences. tell me what i want to hear.” “yes. yes yes yes my pretty pussy looks so good taking your fingers.” “good girl. now, who are you talking to? say it again. say my name.”
