I know it’s severely out of character but I am OBSESSED with the idea of Mikey having Gen Z humor.
Like one day he just goes, probably after an intense mission or the movie: “Hi, welcome to My Life. I’m your host, Michelangelo, and I’m severely traumatized!”
And then him deadass laughing like a maniac.

Intervention
ao3
Summary: The turtles are worried about Casey Jr's recent behavior.
A short fic based off of somerandomdudelmao’s Cass Apocalyptic series
Casey Jr!” Mikey yelled. It was a type of shout heard on long car rides when a cow was spotted. Casey froze, his hand hovering over the door knob.
“Hi?” Casey asked. He turned around to face Mikey. Then he immediately regretted doing so. It wasn’t only Mikey that was there. Donnie and Leo had appeared quietly, flanking either side of Casey. It reminded him of that dinosaur movie they watched together to have him “better understand pop-culture”.
“Well um,” Casey turned around “I’ve gotta go-” he tried to make a break for it only to be met with the wall that is Raphael Hamato. Casey was surrounded.
“What, what is this, an intervention?” Casey joked. He was the only one who laughed.
“Precisely.” Donnie said. Casey’s eyes widened.
“We’re worried about you.” Raph said, hand on Casey’s shoulder. Reassuring, but also stopping Casey from bolting.
    “Me?” Casey asked.
“Yes, you!” Leo exclaimed. “Who else would we be talking about?” He waved his arms around.
   “…not me?” Raph’s brow furrowed.
“You haven’t been home at all.” Mikey said, officially opening the floodgates.
   “We haven’t seen you eat.”
   “You won’t talk to us.”
“Have you been sleeping at all?”
   “You’re skittish.”
“And I know you’ve been stealing from my lab!” Donnie shouted.
“Also, you’ve been lying.” Leo finished. Casey rocked back and forth.
“Psh, me, lying?” Casey waved his hand as if to dismiss the idea.
“Does saying you have an uncle of all things ring any bells, Casey?” Leo asked, hands on his hips. Casey felt his heart sink.
“What Leo means to say is, we can help Casey, whatever it is that’s bothering you, us, April, Splinter, and…even Draxum.” Raphael explained, he squeezed Casey’s shoulder. Donnie rolled his eyes, but he didn’t scoff.
“Yeah!” Mikey exclaimed. “I can use my pizazz!” He said while finger gunning at Casey.
Casey couldn’t do this. What felt like an eternity to Casey looked like a blur to the others. He yanked himself out from under Raph’s hand, dodging Mikey trying to grab him.
“No!” Casey shouted. “No, you can’t help!”
“Yes we can!” Leo shouted back and God the way he tilted forward, arms opened wide, a determined look on his face. Casey choked back tears.
   “You can’t bring them back!”
    Everyone stilled.
“You look just like them.” Casey whispered. But that also wasn’t the full truth.
Sure Leo did what Uncle Tello called the mom stance but he didn’t do it with the same caring grin. Smile lines and crows’ feet missing from his face. Donnie rolled his eyes but it wasn’t the same playfulness. Mikey did finger guns but there wasn’t the same spark, literally and figuratively. And this Raph couldn’t hold him the same, they weren’t there yet. He wasn’t there yet with any of them, where an embracing hug was the default. They were so much alike but they were not the same turtles he knew. They were not his senseis.
All he wanted right now was a genuine Hamato hug. His Hamatos’ hugs. And Uncle Tello could do that. Uncle Tello was here. Uncle Tello was working towards a day where all of them could hug Casey again. Casey could do that. Casey could be here with them, his senseis.
“I can fix it.” Casey said. His hope poured out like a squashed oozesquito. Sad and beaten but still going.
    “Huh?” Mikey said.
“Just you wait!” Casey exclaimed, running out of the lair, heels on fire.
“Casey, wait!” Leo started to go after him. One of Donnie’s mechanical limbs reached out and grabbed him.
“What would you even do?” Donnie asked. Leo didn’t know. He didn’t know. None of them know.
But Casey? Casey knew. Casey knew exactly what he was going to do. For once in his life he knew exactly what he wanted and he knew exactly how to get it.
   Casey Hamato knows.

i love that you said each of the bois have unspoken themes to them, that makes characters so much more deeper and interesting.
if you wouldn’t mind can you say what unspoken themes Leo, Mikey, and Raph have?
some are more obvious than others, and while i have a decent idea of what they are, i want to hear them coming from you ✨
adore your work btw, your storytelling and style enraptures me
This might be a big post just so I have everyone all in one place im going to reiterate what I said for Donnie
@aduckmurder
Donnie: Identity/Depersonalization
When Donnie's first introduced Draxum doesn't even consider him a person, and hadn't even given him a name. And then, later Donnie's got too many names to choose from. That alone would cause someone to have an identity crisis. Personality wise, he enjoys making tech, but aside from that, Donnie is never sure of which emotions he should be feeling, or what his likes and dislikes are. A lot of the time he's mirroring how his brothers are emoting, or he's just smiling to cover up the fact that he doesn't know or trust his own feelings. Future Donnie will have a horrible time with depersonalization after merging with the Technodrome and the Kraang, which will cycle around to impact present timeline Donnie during the movie.
Mikey: Worth
While Donnie was treated like nothing, Mikey was treated like an object/accessory by Big Mama. When she threw him into the Nexus, Mikey imagined it was something he did or didn't do well enough to meet her high standards. After he's reunited with Splinter and Raph, Mikey finds the little roles that neither of them have filled very well, such as cooking, and cleaning, and makes sure he excels at them almost obsessively out of this fear that if he's not useful, then he will be discarded. Future Mikey works tirelessly as the only brother with his mystic powers still intact, to the point that his body is so overworked by the time of the movie, he looks like he's moments from shattering apart, only held together through his own force of will.
Leo: Doubt
Leo has lived his life being ordered around and having his memories and personality altered. Even once he is free, his emotions are almost as erratic without Kitsune's influence, than they were while he was under her control (at least until his own cleansing ritual). His instinctual gut reaction to use most violent tactic first, clearly makes his family uneasy. So when Raph tries to get Leo to act as co-leader, Leo is very hesitant. He doesn't think he should be trusted with such a responsibility, but learns he can trust if he goes too far, his brothers will stop him. Future Leo has a really hard time with raising Casey. After Raph's gone, Leo doesn't trust any of the decisions he's now having to make solo, and he certainly doesn't think he can be a guiding force for good for a young child. Casey needs a teacher who will shape him into a strong warrior. Leo learns as Casey grows, that being the boy's Sensei is not the same as being his Master.
Raph: Regret/Guilt
Raph blames himself for almost every horrible thing his brothers and father have gone through. He's recounted the night that Leo and Mikey were taken, and gone over it a thousand times in his head, trying to work out how it could've gone differently. All the amazing things he's done by bringing his family together--being the stable bedrock that they can grow into a true family under--none of that feels like it'll ever make up for the times in the past where he failed to protect them. Raph takes on the job of shield because he wants to make sure nothing else ever hurts his brothers again, and doesn't care if hurts him instead. Future Raph is constantly putting his brothers' lives before his own. Unfortunately, doing it one too many times results in a devastating loss for the Resistance, when their Leader sacrifices himself, and the chain of command practically falls apart for months before it can recover.

Ninja's Heartstrings
Summary:
Leo and Raph are in love with you, and they both show it in their own unique ways, sparking constant clashes that make Donnie and Mikey uncomfortable, causing conflicts within the group.
Beyond enjoying their attention, you begin to realize that you have strong feelings for both of them, and you find yourself torn between whom to choose. But one day, it dawns on you: Aren't brothers supposed to share everything?
WARNINGS: NSFW (suggestive) / part one of two of an eventual trio-smut / +18 MDNI / Leo and Raph are in their late twenties /
Master Splinter always said that a ninja must be observant. After so many years of hearing that statement, Leo noticed he applied that principle not only on the battlefield but also in his personal life, which sometimes left him wondering whether he had incorporated it as a part of his personality or if he simply couldn't help but scrutinize things in detail when it was about you.
He paid attention to the way your hair moved when you walked, to the glow in your eyes when you were happy. He noticed the way you frowned when displeased and sighed when disappointed. He marveled at how absolutely ravishing you looked no matter what you wore. It wasn't fair how you could weaken him without even trying.
Leo couldn't help the look of excitement in his eyes as they followed you when you entered the lair. And certainly, he couldn't stop his heart from pounding like crazy when you noticed and waved at him. However, it was Raphael who you approached.
He casually held you by the waist as you showed him the film you had brought for the usual movie night. It was only then that Raph darted a quick look at Leo across the room. A sly smirk came with it. Of course he knew. Leo understood right there that his feelings for you slipped through him like water through fingers. Whenever he looked at you, his gaze held such a depth of sentiment that it was impossible to conceal.
Of course, Raph knew, and he made it very clear that he felt the exact same way about you, and he wasn’t giving you up. It was evident in every protective move he made around you: casually placing his hand over the sharp edges of the furniture whenever you passed too close, serving you the largest slice of pizza, or giving you the bigger piece when splitting a piece of chocolate in half. He would take you home each night after your visits to the lair on his motorbike and come back smiling like a true fool.
Leo sighed, resigned. He loved his brother and would be more than happy to share his contentment at being with someone as wonderful as you. Yeah, maybe that was the right thing to do.
"Hey, aren't you coming?" you turned to ask.
You smiled at him as if your heart was physically calling for him. Ah, crap. He wouldn’t stand seeing you smile like that to anyone else. That day, the leader in blue set his mind on one thing and one thing only: he would fairly win you over. Leo grinned back at you with a dangerous glow in his eyes.
"Yeah, make some room for me."
*****.
“She’s gonna be here soon,” Mikey said as he arranged the cushions on the living room sofa. He had already cleaned up the empty pizza boxes and now Donnie was placing them in a black plastic bag along with other trash remains.
The gentle, yellow-tinged warmth light permeated through the grooves in the ceiling, barely kissing the furniture surface.
“Yeah, hope things don’t get weird again,” Donnie said.
He spoke in a somewhat whining tone, as he rolled his eyes. Mikey chuckled.
“Tell me about it. Which of them will snap first this time?”
“My bet is on Raph.”
“Hmm, I don’t know, Leo was this close last time!”
Mikey made a tiny gesture with his fingers as he giggled to the thought of Leo’s deep frown when you chose Raph to cuddle with while watching the movie the last time you were there.
“I was close to what?” the leader interjected, arms crossed. His gaze was skeptical as his tone curious.
“Oh, you know, demanding a duel combat with Raph owing to jealousy,” Donnie answered as he tied a knot in the black plastic bag.
Leonardo's expression darkened.
“What?”
Mikey gulped, feeling somewhat uncomfortable with the abrupt change in the atmosphere, but he remained quiet.
“Come on, don’t play dumb. You know what I’m talking about.''
"Who's playin' dumb?"
Raphael entered the living room then, pop-corn on one hand, a soda can in the other. His voice was so glowy it made his good mood palpable.
“No one. Donatello is just overthinking stuff,” Leo deflected.
Raph let out a closed-mouthed chuckle. “When isn't he?”
Donnie gaped, offended.
“Excuse me?! I’m not overthinking anything. I’m just stating the facts.” Donatello whined while putting off the bag.
“Which are?” Raph asked while leaning on the opposite wall on which Leo was standing.
"You both need to cease displaying such—" he paused for a moment, attempting to pinpoint the precise words to encapsulate the entire situation. "Enticing behavior towards her!"
"What?" Raph managed to force out a scoffing chuckle to mask he had choked on his soda.
“Oh, please,” Donatello said sardonically.
Raph was about to retort but Mikey spoke first.
“Look, we’re just saying it’s obvious you’re both into her, and sometimes it’s uncomfortable to be trapped in the middle of—”
“Of whatever mating rituals you’re putting out to win her over,” Donatello finished, tired of feeling cringed every time you visited the lair.
The door swung open just then, before anyone else could utter another word. You strode to the room, and all heads turned in your direction.
"Hey, guys!" you greeted with a cheerful tone, but you couldn't ignore the heaviness in the atmosphere settling onto your shoulders. The four turtles exchanged a knowing look. "Did I miss something?"
“No! no, we were just having a… creative discussion” Mikey said quickly, smiling. His fingers fidgeted close to his plastron.
“Couldn’t decide which movie to watch tonight,” Leo said in a much more smooth tone. “Think you can help with that, doll?”
His voice was velvety as he addressed you. Rapahel rolled his eyes, and Donatello murmured something you didn’t quite catch.
“I could bring up some options, I guess.”
"Be my guest," Leo extended his hand to escort you to the sofa, but Raph swiftly slapped it away before you could grasp it.
"She knows the way. You're not a damn host," Raph growled under his breath.
"Oh my God, I can't take this anymore. I'm calling it quits for tonight," Donnie declared, turning to face you. "It's wonderful to see you, but I've got some lab work to wrap up. Enjoy the evening, and make yourself at home." Donnie bid you farewell with an apologetic smile. He shot his brothers a glare of frustration as he left.
“I’m off too… places to be, pizza to eat, you know!” Mikey let out a chuckle before vanishing from sight.
You stood there, utterly perplexed. After a few moments of processing how everyone had essentially fled the movie night, you shifted your attention to Leo and Raph, your expression demanding answers. Impatience grew with each passing second as your foot tapped the floor in rhythm.
"Well? What's going on?"
“They’re party poppers, don’t mind them. Now c'mon, sit with me.” Raph placed his arm around your shoulders casually, offering you popcorn with the other. Leo was about to make a comment but you spoke first.
“Actually…” you said slipping away from his hold smoothly, “I want to sit with Leo tonight.”
Raphael clenched his jaw, “Fine, whatever. What are we watching?”
You frowned at the sudden harsh tone, but didn’t really understand the problem. You had indeed sat beside him last time. Was he…?
“Come on Raph, don’t be a sore loser.”
"I ain't lost nothin' yet," he shot back, with a determined tone.
"Hey, uh, guys?" Your voice wavered with a mix of uncertainty and squeakiness.
They both shifted their attention to you, guilt flashing across their faces as they registered your puzzled expression. Raphael let out a sigh.
"Ya know? I actually gotta kick some butts tonight."
He handed you the popcorn bowl as he finished the soda, strolling toward the door.
“What?! you’re leaving too?” You asked, reaching out to him but Leo grasped your hand, stopping you in your tracks.
“Let him go, he needs to cool down,” the leader whispered to you.
"Sorry, sugar, catch ya next time... unless ya wanna swap flicks for somethin' more thrillin'," he smirked, taking a few steps back to get a good look at you. Raphael adored the way your eyes lit up at his words, but he wasn't thrilled about Leo's hand holding you in place.
“That’s tempting, but I really wanted to do something chill tonight. See you around Raph!''
He shrugged, seemingly dismissive. “Your loss.”
It wasn’t visible but the amount of self-control that took him to just go was huge. He would rather leave than seeing you glued to his brother's side all night and he knew better than trying to make you change your mind. Additionally, starting a fight could make matters worse, and he didn’t feel like falling from your good side.
“Now, what if you show me your favorite movie?” Leo smiled, but this time there was something more to his smile.
*IIII*
You both were sitting on the couch, his arm over your shoulders and your head leaned against his own. Outer-thighs barely touching. His breathing was even, plastron moving calmly. You hadn't really gotten used to watching it up close. It was pretty. Marked with small indentations which made it look like you could run your nails over them… and so you did, jolting him a bit, but Leo just glanced at you, flashing a smile before returning his eyes to the tv. He stood still despite his heart hammering loudly. Could you hear it? He tensed.
You were absorbed touching him, imagining –not for the first time– how would that part of him feel against your own. Bare skin to skin, your nipples rubbing on the hard surface of his chest. Your breath hitched. It wasn’t right to have this kind of fantasies when he was right beside you, yet you couldn’t help yourself. Your mind simply took life of its own and started to produce several indecorous images.
It was like that night with Rapahel, the other day.
Both of you were riding on his bike, he told you he wanted to show you one of his favorite spots to watch the city lights and you traveled hugging him from behind, chest against his shell. Scratches and marks of combat decorated his carapace. His muscly shoulders barely peeked from ahead and you would have given everything to just let your hands wander his entire back.
“Well, here we are,” he said, stopping the motorbike before he jumped off in one smooth movement.
“An abandoned building?” you said skeptically, following him to the creepy dark entrance.
“Scared?” he teased, looking back at you with a smirk.
“As if.”
It was indeed quite gloomy, Raph's presence dispelled your fears. Naturally, you'd rather meet your end than admit it out loud and inflate his ego to an even more dangerous extent.
He entered, and you trailed closely. The space resembled an abandoned hotel lobby, with wood marred by moss and the steel of the staircase corroding. A peculiar blend of natural light and the faint reflections of neon-glowing advertisements scarcely penetrated through the shattered windows. Somehow, you thought, it was something along with Rapahel aesthetics.
You two ascended the ladder, and with each step, your body pulsed with anxiety, the thought crossing your mind that perhaps the stairs wouldn't bear the weight of both of you since they creaked strangely with each step. But those were unfounded worries. Soon, you reached the top floor, and Raphael swung open the door that led to the roof. New York City at night, seen from the pinnacle of an abandoned building, offered a breathtaking view.
He perched on the edge and extended his hand to you. Without hesitation, you took it, settling beside him, your legs dangling over the cars bustling along the avenue below.
“Raph this is amazing!” you said, unable to repress a smile.
“I know” he hesitated before continuing, “I used to come here a lot… back then.”
You turned to him, his expression was deep, and you decided not to let go of his hand.
“When you were a merciless vigilante?” you tried to joke and he smiled, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Come one, I wasn’t ‘merciless’ I actually gave them many chances to withdraw.” he lied, jestingly “Guess they loved having their asses kicked.”
You laughed at that and this time he seemed more relaxed.
“Or maybe they stupidly thought they could defeat you”
"They should've known better. I'm faster and stronger than 'em. Always have been," he boasted with that air of superiority that you adored. "Besides, no one stands a chance against the Nightwatcher."
"Or big metal turtle, like Casey called it," you chuckled. "Man, I would've loved to see you in that armor," you mused absentmindedly after a couple of seconds, and he shot you a smirk.
"I still got it. I might wear it if you ask me real nice," he said smoothly, with that low tone that sent shivers down your spine and made your thighs clench. Yet, you didn't let it show.
"Ooh... please show me?" you said, offering him your most charming smile. Raph laughed, his voice raspy and deep.
"You'll have to do better than that."
"Come on, Raph, you want me to beg?" you protested, shifting carefully to avoid falling. His eyes sparkled, and his smirk grew wider.
"Fine," you whined, "could you please try on the armor for me?" Raphael scoffed.
"That was still kinda weak, but I suppose it'll have to do." He started to move as if to stand up, but you instinctively interlocked your fingers with his, not even thinking about it. His eyes flicked down to your hands and then back to you, questioning.
"Not tonight, though. I'm too comfy to move," you remarked. As you said that, you pressed your side against his, and he gently tightened his grip on your fingers. It felt wonderful to be close like that, in a peculiar kind of embrace amid the heights, incredibly intimate and heartwarming. A few seconds passed during which you both simply gazed at the city and how far the streets stretched. Then, he softly called your name, his hold on your hand trembling slightly.
"I've been meanin' to tell ya somethin'," he began, and you looked at him with a small smile.
"What?"
Raph moved closer, his eyes ensnaring yours with their intensity. There was something in them, a gaze concealing a sentiment he'd been bottling up until now, much like you had. He lowered his face, resting his forehead against yours, and your noses brushed against each other.
"You can tell me anything," your voice barely more than a longing whisper. Your mouth drew nearer to his with each passing moment, your half-closed eyes revealing your desire.
The high-pitched wail of a siren, accompanied by the flicker of red and blue lights, made Raph growl as he reluctantly tore himself away from you.
"Duty calls." He breathed with flushed cheeks before clearing his throat.
Something – someone – shocked your arm repeatedly, pulling you out of the sweet memory. Leo was gazing at you with a mix of amusement and doubt, as if he were anticipating something from you.
"I'm sorry, what?" you said, blinking a little.
"I asked if you'd like more popcorn." He gestured to the empty bowl, and you gasped. Had you devoured it all by yourself, lost in your own mental movie?
"Oh no! No, thank you." You felt heat burning the back of your neck as color crept to your cheeks when you realized that he might be asking because he was the one who wanted more, since you had selfishly eaten it all on your own. "B-but if you want more, I can go get some."
Leo chuckled at you before smiling sweetly. "It's fine, I'm good."
"You know, there's something I'll never understand about romantic comedies," you changed the subject as the movie continued. You couldn't quite keep quiet now, perhaps due to nervousness. "And it's why they only seem to make you yearn for a lover so perfect."
Leo raised a brow.
"How's that?" he asked, leaning closer, and you could feel his cheek resting on your head. You thought he must look cute, eyes still on the TV as your chest tightened with the desire to hug him.
Slut.
The thought came so fast and so forcefully, crashing onto you from the back of your head to your eyes, throbbing. Slut. Hadn't you just been remembering how you felt in Raph's arms a literal second ago? Then why? Why did what you were feeling right now seem so close to that, if not even the same...
"Well, th-the protagonist's romantic interest is always too stunning for real-life standards. There's no one that perfect," you continued the conversation, trying to block your own thoughts.
Leo shifted to look right into your eyes. "I wouldn't be so sure about that," he said, flashing you a charming smile. You blushed even harder this time.
"Oooh, don't tell me you think you've found the one," you teased, trying to escape the cringe of your own mind without realizing you were digging your own grave.
Leo kept his little grin and nodded. "I think I may have, yes."
"How's she like?" You knew he was talking about you; all of his body language screamed so. Leo seemed to think for a second.
"Too stunning for real-life standards," he said with a sly look, and you lightly smacked him on the arm with the back of your hand while chuckling. But then he added in a small whisper, "She doesn't seem to mind."
You frowned, "Mind what?"
Leo shrugged, his gaze suddenly fixed on the TV. You weren't supposed to hear that.
"Leo?" you prompted.
"We are ninjas," he started, "and we have acclimated to the idea of living forever banished in the shadows. Alone. Not only because of the secret oath to protect this city, but because of the way we look. Whenever we're together, she looks at me as if..." he locked his gaze on yours again, filled with deep yearning and adoration, "as if she doesn't mind.."
He wasn't talking only about appearances. You deserved someone who could spend time with you during the daytime too. You should get to be with a guy who's able to accompany you to family dinners, publicly celebrate your relatives' or friends' birthdays, heck, someone who could take you to your graduation dinner or job promotion celebrations. He couldn't do all of that, but you already knew, and you didn't seem to care.
"And when she's with me, I feel like I could actually be bold enough..." he leaned closer, eyes half-lidded in craving. His face was now just two inches away from yours, "to kiss her."
The glimmer of his gaze was drawing you into a warmer world, one in which you knew you'd be safe within his arms. Your past worries were now forgotten, lost in the midst of his shallow breaths.
"Yeah? So why don't you try it out?"
"I might just do that now."
"My son."
Both of you jolted back at the sound of Master Splinter's voice, followed by a throat clearing. You felt your whole body turn red with embarrassment. How long had he been there?!
Leo's expression was priceless, so startled despite his ninja skills. It was so funny that it almost made you forget your embarrassment.
"We were just watching a movie."
Despite his age, Leo still felt the need to explain himself but didn't move, and he didn't allow you to either. It was his way of acknowledging that he was a grown adult sharing a moment with... well, what were you to him? More importantly, what was he to you? The worries came back strongly, throbbing like a headache.
"A movie that has finished, I suppose?" his dad said, gesturing to the black screen. Leo flashed a look before you spoke.
"Yes, it was very entertaining. Thank you for having me here, Master Splinter," The mutant rat held a serene expression, apparently pleased with your words, "but it's getting late. I should take my leave."
Leo reflexively squeezed your body against his and let go as soon as he realized.
"You don't have to go, dear; my novel is about to start, and you both can stay and watch it with me," he said affably. However, upon noticing his son's expression, he quickly added in a sigh, "Or you can move your date to your room."
Date. The world seemed to strike a chord on you both.
"Actually, I do have some things to do at home. I'm sorry," Leonardo's disappointment was visible through every line of expression on his face. He straightened up, however, and gave you an understanding nod.
"I'll take you home," he told you, moving toward the part of the lair where they stored the turtle-van.
"No! I mean, no, thank you. I think it's better if I go by myself." Leo frowned, doing his best to hide the growing panic burning in his chest. Were you having regrets about the moment you shared just now?
"Thank you anyway, Leo. Goodnight, Master Splinter."
**IIII**
The sound of the rain falling over the roof of your place was exactly what you needed to calm your nerves. You lay on your bed, watching the little drops drip down the glass window. It had been three days since you were in the lair. During this time, you strategically ignored the calls of both Leonardo and Raphael.
You needed time to think about what to do. By this point, it was undeniable that you felt something very strong for both of them. It made no sense to avoid it or deny it. The only thing you had to do now was decide. You huffed, hating the fact you couldn't have both. And then it hit you: why can't you? Who says one must love only one person?
You grabbed your phone from your purse. If there was someone who could help you confess your feelings to both of them and somehow convince them a poly-relationship could work without causing a war, that was April.

Chapter 1 of Hollow out passing enternety (H.O.P.E.)"Leo's nightmare dream"
Master post ✨
2. Chapter
(quick note: all of the events are happening after the movie)
- After the fight with the krang aliens the turtles help Casey move in with April.
- Everyone that got hurt got treatment, but something felt awfully wrong...
- It felt too quiet, too tense ,too blank ,too empty...
- Everyone needed a break from everything so the turtles all went to their rooms.
xxx
- After a few days things started to get better not actually but noone said anything even Mikey was suspiciously quiet
- So one day Mikey decided to make lunch hopping to get someone to open up,but it was too quiet, too awfully quiet again.
- Until Mikey asked "Is anyone enjoying the food,I made?",Leo looks at him with tired eyes says trying to ack calm "Sure."mumbling to himself "So, you're just going to pretended like nothing happened?"and looks down.
...
- It didn't change anything the awkward silence wasn't gone
- Mikey looked down trying to hide in his shell,it was too awkward...too awfully awkward....
- Raph looked at Mikey like he wanted to say something, but ultimately saying nothing.
- It was too awkward, someone needed to say something again.
- Donnie trying to for the first time in a long while lighten up the mood he took a deep breath, trying to break the awkward silence and saying
"I'm going to my room.", slowly standing up, turning around and going to his room.
- Everyone was looking worriedly at Donnie except Leo that was too tired to even look up , right after Donnie leaves the room Leo uncomfortably calmly says "Im also going to my room."
- Now it was just Mikey and Raph in the kitchen it wasn't too awkwardly anymore, well that was at least a start.
- Raph a few minutes after Leo leaves the room says to Mikey"It's getting late, you should go to sleep.",Mikey pops out his head out of his shell and saying"Sure, but only if you go to bed too!",
Dr. Delicate touch is still doing their job hah.

Navigation: Part 1 (you‘re here) | Part 2 | Part 3 (wip)
— — —
„And do me a favour” Leo said to Casey, grabbing him tightly by the shoulder. “After you’re done saving the world, grab a slice!“ he shouted as he flung the unsuspecting boy through the portal Mikey had made moments before. As Casey's body passed the gateway, he disappeared in yellow zaps and flames.
Seeing the last of his brothers be consumed into nothingness in front of Leo's eyes started weighing in on him after Casey was no longer in view. He tried to convince himself that Mikey‘s sacrifice wouldn‘t be in vain. Jumping to the side to evade a Krang laser, he chanted ‘find the key, stop the Krang‘ in his mind over and over, hoping it would get through time and space to his protegee and give him the necessary strength.
Several Krang minions attacked at the same time, jumping onto Leo. With the handle of his sword he started smacking them away. A heavy knot set at the base of his stomach as Leo realised there was nothing more he could do for Casey or the world now, for he was the last one. His brothers, smack! his father, thwack! his friends, kick! his love. All gone.
With a side jump and a roll Leo evaded yet another laser; this time it had been too close though as the light had burnt a slight gash into his arm. He hissed through his teeth and was about to direct some profanities towards the last Krang monster still fighting him, when all of a sudden it turned on his heels, scurrying away. The ninja was about to use that as his chance to flee, when his eyes followed the path the little pest was heading towards. His blood ran cold at the sight of the portal still open and zapping. The alien was about to go back in time as well!
“Oh no, you don’t!” Leo yelled as he charged at the gooey creature with his sword, slicing it in half, causing it to give a high-pitched screech. With the last remnants of its life force, the alien decided to avenge its own death by biting Leo in the ankle. He managed to lift his leg just in time, evading the sharp teeth, but the unforeseen action made him lose his balance, and he stumbled backwards, accidentally falling through the portal.
His shell was met with hard concrete, and the New York night lights blinded him for a second, even though it was a welcome change from the constant red, fire and misery he had seen and lived in the last decade.
“Oh no, no no no-“ he cursed at himself for being so careless, quickly standing to his feet and picking up his sword. The sounds of cars, the city bustling and music somewhere far off filled his ears. It was so very tempting to turn around and take in a breath of the city, to let his eyes go over the masses of people and the skyscrapers still standing. Luckily the portal had opened in a dark alleyway away from curious eyes, not that the average New Yorker would stand and stare anyways. They had always seemed untroubled by most very not normal circumstances. This thought put a little smile on his face, which quickly turned into a frown. He wasn’t meant to be here. He didn’t know how long the portal would stay open either, so he had to get to the other side and stop anything else from coming through. With newfound resolution he was just about to leap through the gateway, when he heard a familiar voice behind him.
— — —
Since you hadn’t heard from the turtle brothers all day, you decided to go pay them a visit. None of them had seen your messages, not even your boyfriend Leo. But Donnie not seeing them was even stranger, since he basically carried all his tech around with him at all times, even more so his phone. April had gone radio silent too. The last thing you knew is that she was on some sort of self-proclaimed mission to unveil the mystery of the chemistry department at the university. Since your texts weren’t even going through to her, you supposed she had run out of battery, like many other times.
You looked up at the sound of echoing footsteps and the panting of someone with what seemed to be a mask and a hockey stick, running into the streets and getting lost in the vast ocean of people. He had hurriedly come out of an alleyway a couple metres ahead of you. Stuffing your phone back in your pocket you decided it would be best to cross the street and not get involved in whatever is going on in that alleyway. Meanwhile you made a mental note to get April a powerbank sometime soon, as you didnt’ like it when everyone ignored you all at once. Especially today when you’ve been having this weird queasy feeling all day that you couldn't shake off.
The night breeze suddenly blew some leaves and papers over you, making you grip your hoodie tighter around your neck. You turned away from the street slightly, smoothing out the fabric over your shoulders. You were just about to continue making your way to the turtle’s lair again when you heard a zapping sound next to you. In the alleyway shone a bright yellow light, suspended in the air, and on the ground underneath lied some sort of creature. It rose to its legs and picked up a- wait, is that Leo’s sword? Taking a better look, the creature did look turtle-esque. Just much taller than the ones you knew. This piqued your interest and you silently approached from behind. Being closer and with the yellow light illuminating his frame, you concluded that that was indeed Leo’s sword, albeit much more tattered, and you also noticed the familiar yellow stripes on his uncovered arm. Just as familiar as the blue mask wrapped around his head.
For a moment you considered you had actually fainted or inhaled some gas leak somewhere since you were clearly hallucinating. But there was just something pulling you to him, he seemed so real, so familiar, there was something about him that just made him unmistakably-
“Leo?” you questioned more towards yourself than the figure in front of you. You saw the creature slightly jump at your voice, his shoulders tensing up. He slowly turned around, and as his body fully faced yours, you concluded that this giant turtle in front of you was indeed Leo but much… Taller? Rougher? Older? He’s still looking fine though. You mentally smacked yourself for that last one. This was no moment for thoughts like that. This was clearly a Leo from a different dimension or something. You were however unsure what to do or say. What if in his world, you two are enemies? What if he has no recollection of who you are? What if… you had never existed in his life at all?
That train of thought came and left within a fraction of a second, disappearing just as quickly as it formed, after having his eyes meet yours and seeing how the rugged features softened into that smitten yet somehow cocky look Leo had when looking at you, which you had grown to love.
He let go of his sword, letting it fall to the ground with a clang that echoed through the narrow alley you stood in. Taking a couple steps he came to stand in front of you, towering over you even more than usual, but you didn’t cower away or step back, in fact you met him halfway. Without a word, he simply fell to his knees and hugged you so tight yet so full of care not to hurt you, and with such emotion, that you felt tears pricking behind your eyes. You hugged him back to the best of your abilities. Even on his knees his face was almost level with yours.
“What happened?” you started questioning him in a soft voice. “Where did you come from? You know me, don’t you?” He didn’t exactly look in a mental or emotional state to answer your questions but your curiosity was starting to win over.
Just as you were formulating your next question, he let go and leaned back a bit to look you in the face, bringing up his massive hands to cup your cheeks. He softly stroked your cheek with his thumb, stroking up your temple and settling his hand at the nape of your neck, pushing you forward slightly to rest his forehead against yours. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath.
“I can’t tell you much, and I don’t know how much time I have.” His other hand snaked down and around your waist to press you against his chest, stressing the urgency he spoke with. His voice was soft, he spoke quickly but not in a hurried way to stumble over his own words. More in a there's so much I want to say and I don't know where to begin kinda way.
“Where I’m from, I lost you." is what he decided to go with. The turtle in front of you trembled ever so slightly, and you could tell there were a million things going through his brain right now. You silently waited for him to continue, but he didn't. He looked at you in a way that you could only describe as resignedly heartbroken. It tore you apart from within and you barely held back a sob. You wanted to comfort him somehow, tell him that you’re right there with him, but you didn’t know how. Your hands came up to hold his face, but he was already standing up, leaving your palms on his plastron, which was rougher than expected.
The light behind Leo zapped and flickered lightly; he took it as his cue to go. He turned back to you, slightly bending down to kiss your forehead. Without removing his lips from his kiss, he whispered into your skin. “I love you y/n. Always have. Always will. Take care of the guys for me, will ya?”
And with that he harshly turned, leaving you standing confused and inexplicably sad. Leo picked up his sword in a swift motion and turned to you one last time.
“Oh and say thank you to Mikey, for the goodbye gift!” the turtle exclaimed, winked at you, and disappeared into the light. It flickered and zapped a couple of times, then disappeared with a ‘whoosh!’, leaving you alone in the dark alleyway.
— — —
Your brain could not comprehend what just happened. Your legs seemed to move on their own, as they hurriedly carried you to the sewers. You were in full automatic mode, while in your head you kept replaying the scene again and again. Was he really from a different dimension? Does the multiverse exist? If you died in his world… could your Leo be fated to die in yours?
Your thoughts kept spiralling into a very negative, very dangerous zone. The more you tried to understand the occurrence before, the more your vision started tunneling towards one goal only: find Leo and make sure he’s safe.
“I can explain!” sounded a voice you didn’t know through the halls of the turtle’s lair. That made you snap out of your very dark thoughts back into reality, which is when you noticed you had already arrived at your destination. Only now did you realise how out of breath you were; you must have come running full speed. Clutching your hoodie over your crazy beating heart, you made your way into the living room where everyone seemed to be gathered around a guy tied to a chair, which was hanging from the ceiling.
Raph was the first to notice you and was about to greet you but you pushed past him without a word, bee-lining towards Leo. You basically tackled him into a hug, making him go “oomph!” from the impact, and he hugged you back.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” he asked. But you refused to look up and buried your face between his shoulder and his neck, sniffling. Oh great, you thought, now I’m gonna cause a scene here in front of everyone and that guy- who is that anyways?
“I was just- and you were-“ you said between muffled sobs. “and I was so scared something had happened!”
Finally you looked up and your ache was transformed into rage as you turned around abruptly, looking at the other turtles.
“Why did none of you respond to my texts?!” you said angrily at no one in particular, tears running down your cheeks. “I was so worried, and then I had the weirdest meeting ever with-“.
“y/n?” A voice interrupted your rambling. You looked up to glare at the boy tied to the chair. You felt like you had seen him before somewhere. Then you noticed the mask and the hockey stick, and that’s when you realised it was the guy from the alleyway.
“What is he doing here?” You asked somewhat derogatorily, pointing at the hanging prisoner, as Donnie cut the rope and pulled the chair back up with one of his robotic arms.
“And more importantly: why do you know their name?” Leo questioned the boy, throwing one arm over your shoulders to squeeze you reassuringly.
“Because you told me stories about them!” Casey said, directed at Leo, and took a deep breath. He proceeded to explain how he came from the future, which made everyone break out in laughter, except for you. As his explanation of an apocalyptic future invaded by aliens went on, your earlier meeting made more and more sense.
You were about to ask more about your relationship with future Leo when Splinter started retelling the legend of the Krang. Casey said they had to retrieve a key, but as it turns out, they had been on a mission today where they already failed to take that key and the Foot ended up snatching it. At least that would explain why no one had answered your texts all day.
The turtle brothers started making a plan on how to get back the key from the Krang, exiting the room. Except that they left Casey tied to the chair. He asked if anyone would untie him into the room, and you approached him.
“Master y/n” Casey spoke with a smile. “It really is you! All of you! I still can’t believe it worked. Master Michelangelo…” he trailed off at that last part, his smile replaced with a sad grimace. He shook his head as if to shake the thoughts out of his head, and redirected his attention to you. All the while, you had been untying the ropes on his chair. Loosening the last knot, you got back to your feet and planted yourself in front of Casey, whose name you still didn’t know, and crossed your arms over your chest.
“So who are you again?” you asked in a demanding tone. “How exactly did you get here? And why did you come alone?”
At the last question, he looked pained again and his gaze shifted to the side. As he stood up you noticed he was taller than you so he looked down at you and set his hands on your shoulders.
“I’m Casey, but there’s no time.” he urged. “We have to go get the key. I’ll answer your questions on the way.” Casey moved to follow the group but you grabbed him by his cape and yanked him back. Your fist clenched the fabric so hard your knuckles were going white.
“No.” you said without meeting his gaze. Instead you were looking down at your hands. “You’re going to tell me why I met an older Leo in the same alley you came from, and why he looked so heartbroken and why he said he lost me. I’m right here! What did he mean? Am I gonna-“
“Y/n, stop. Please.” Casey spoke softly and took your hands in his, to signal you should let go of his cape. You didn’t. He sighed, looked back to check that no one else was within listening range, and turned back to you. He lowered his head a bit and spoke almost with a whisper.
“All I know is I’m here and we have a second chance. That’s all that matters. What happens to me, to you, to any of us, none of it matters if the Krang come here and devastate everything. What difference will it be to you if I tell you what happened? Will you treat Master Leonardo differently? I don’t think he’d want that.”
He did have a point. What would you win knowing what happens in the future, to you or any of the turtles for that matter? You would live every moment in fear and anxiety, and you already had enough of the latter to last several timelines.
You tilted your head thinking it over, and decided that he was right. “Fine.” you finally said looking up at him. You wanted to add something else to that, you weren’t even sure what exactly, but Leo appeared from around the corner and saw you basically holding hands with Casey.
“What’s taking you so long, Padawan o’ mine?” he asked Casey and nonchalantly pushed his hands away from yours, taking them in his instead. “Let’s go! We know where the Foot is. Let’s go get that key. Again” Leo mumbled that last part.
As Casey made his way to the group, the turtle faced you fully.
“So what was that earlier? Is everything okay?” he asked cupping your cheek with one of his hands. “You looked pretty shaken.”
You noticed how his hand wasn’t quite as big as the one from older Leo, and thinking that maybe you wouldn’t be there to see him grow, both physically and as a person, made you tremble and there were the tears again. You placed your hands on his plastron and bit your bottom lip, not being able to meet his eyes. Should you tell him? Casey said maybe it’s better if he didn’t know at all. He would definitely go into over-protective mode and never let you leave his side if you told him there was a chance you might get hurt, or worse. You didn’t even know what happened or when or where.
“Hey” Leo placed his hand under your chin and slightly pushed your face to meet his gaze. He was starting to get worried. With a slight nod he urged you to talk. You opened your mouth to say something, but nothing came out. You decided that it would be best he never hears of this encounter. You’d just spend every waking minute making sure he knows how much he means to you.
Without a word you grabbed onto his face and kissed him hard, trying to convey all of your feelings. He reciprocated, placing his arms around your waist. You broke the kiss to pepper his face with little kisses instead. On his cheeks, his nose, his neck, anywhere you could reach. This made him chuckle and he lightly swayed you from side to side.
“You know I love you right?” you asked him.
“I do, and I love you too. Very much-“
“No, no. I mean it. I love you.” Again tears were forming at the corner of your eyes. Your voice became but a whisper against his neck. “Please promise me you’ll stay by my side forever.”
“Y/n where is this coming from?” You only hugged him harder to get an answer. He hugged back just as tightly. “Of course I will. I promise. I love you so much y/n. You’re never getting rid of me.”
The last comment made you smile through your tears. You pulled back to kiss him one last time and ran your hand through your hair, sniffling. With the back of your sleeve you dried your face and Leo’s as well, as you realised you had stained his cheeks in your tears. As you brushed over his cheek, he looked at you with the same love-struck face you had seen on older Leo not long before, just not as… sad. Things will be different, you told yourself. They’ll be better. I’ll be better. I’ll make sure of it.
“Alright then” you said with newfound motivation. You took Leo’s hand in yours, him already wearing his signature smirk. You pulled him to where the group was already waiting for you two. “Let’s get this bread”.

Bonus:
A couple of days after defeating the Krang, Mikey found a home-made cake on the counter when entering the kitchen. Tucked underneath the plate was a note, which read “Thank you. -Leo”, but he clearly recognised your handwriting. The orange-clad turtle chuckled at that.
“Mystic hands!” he exclaimed, wriggling his fingers in the air, trying to telepathically get a fork out of the drawer.
You observed this while standing around the corner of the kitchen, hiding behind the door frame, only to see Mikey actually manage to rattle the cutlery drawer for a moment, the sound of clanging metal filling the room. Mikey gasped loudly and looked at his hands in awe.
“Thank you”, you whispered, on behalf of a turtle who, against all odds, got to see you one last time.

You can totally choose to look past this cuz it might be a lot (Tw trauma?) I just got Carried, you know when Carrie (from the movie) she gets a bucked full of blood over her head on prom? A guy asked me out and to my surprise, I was blessed with ketchup, eggs and flour by him and his friends, the subway didn’t let me in and no Uber would accept me getting in a car, so I had to walk home. No one asked me what was wrong
I’m still processing that actually happened,. I’m assuming it’s bc of my weight, I’m tall and overweight, I mainly keeps things to myself, am a introvert, idk what other thing could be a reason besides my body. Could you please write a comfort scenario with the tmnt boys? Or one of them, you can choose, Could be platonic, romantic, idk, just reader (who’s usually friendly but don’t talk much about their romantic life cuz they don’t feel like it’s worth investing time, and when they finally decide to change that, thst happens) crying as a mess in front of them for the first time, saying they are tired of living in a body that feels more of a curse than anything,
It’s a lot, I know, you can delete this if you aren’t comfortable doing it (I’m 100% serious)
Thank you Eitherway and hope you have a good day
first of all, I’m so sorry that happened to you. back in high school, I was doused after classes so I can definitely understand your pain here. they are absolutely pathetic for even thinking about doing that to someone; they are total assholes because they acted on it too and I wish for it to haunt them one day when (or if) they mature. you did amazing on your way home that day - I hope that, with time, things will get better for you. you deserve great things. I haven’t written anything with all of the boys before but I wanted to give it a try for you to cheer you up. I wish you well, and I hope you can find comfort in our wonderful turtles!
« got your back »
tmnt x reader / angst + fluff
notes: 1.6k words, all turtles included, platonic relationship, gender neutral reader (no pronouns used,) first person pov, I was thinking of 2012 tmnt while writing this but it probably fits with most iterations.
I can’t believe I’m walking home in the dark, completely covered in miscellaneous goop. I’m glad I didn’t tell anyone about the date that was supposed to happen tonight because, if someone saw me right now, I don’t know what I would do. no public transport let me on covered in eggs and flour, the same for taxis, so now I’m stuck dragging myself home by my own two feet. they are awfully heavy despite my hurry to get back which doesn’t seem fair at all - it’s like my body is laughing at me in equal measure to the rest of the crowd back there.
put your head down and keep walking, put your head down and keep walking, put your—
“hey guys, look!” I stop in my tracks as soon as I hear that voice echo through the night sky. it sounded too much like mikey to simply ignore it.
“mikey, for the last time, shh! ninjas, remember?” that was definitely leo. they all must be up on a roof somewhere but I don’t dare to look up. my feet won’t move anymore regardless, they’re refusing to pick up and run. my body really does hate me tonight huh?
“mikey is right though, look down - hey there!” I slowly crane my neck towards the sound of their chatters and am met with possibly the worst sight I could see at this exact moment: all four of my mutant friends standing on a nearby roof, just as I suspected.
“hi everyone,” I give an awkward wave as they stare down at me.
“want to meet up at the entrance to the lair to hang? we’re just heading back,” raph calls out.
I need a plan, and fast.
thankfully, they can’t see that I’m covered in mush from where they are, but if I go to the lair then that will change. however, if I say ‘no’ to hanging out with them then they’ll get suspicious anyway and follow after me. they’re my best friends, my favourite thing in the whole world is hanging out with them. even if I genuinely can’t hang out we still find a loophole to be together.
either of these choices leaves me doomed to talk about this disaster of a night eventually so…
“sure, you go ahead and I’ll be there in a second.”
…I go with option one.
Tumblr media
I knew the boys would get there first so I’ve had more time to come up with some lame lie before I face them: one point to me. I slap on a brave face and a ridiculously wide smile in the hopes that it would distract them from what I have going on all over my clothes. taking a deep breath, I turn the final corner to enter the lair.
“hey bud!” mikey bursts through the rest of the guys and comes skipping towards me. I freeze and simply wait for him to see me in the light. “woah, what happened to you?”
after hearing mikey’s question, everyone starts to crowd in around me, thinking I had been hurt or something on the way here. to their surprise, I have no cuts or scrapes…just a bunch of different types of produce in my hair. they begin to mutter more questions but my mind is too hazy to hear them clearly, opting to stand there and stare into the space behind them. leo notices me zoning out pretty quickly and leads me to the seating area in the middle of the lair by my arm, the rest of the boys following with worry in their eyes.
I sit down on the couch; raph bends down in front of me, donnie sits on my right, mikey hangs over the back of the couch to lean on my left, and leo rests his hands on my shoulders from behind me.
“who did this to you? I’ll kill them, I’ll punch them into the ground I swear to god—“
“raph, calm down. we need to know what happened first before we start going haywire.” I’ve never seen donnie look so aggravated before. it looks like he secretly wants to join in with raph’s immediate anger instead of acting ‘rationally’ this time.
“no need for punching anyone or anything ha! I— uh— tripped while I was walking home and fell straight into a pile of garbage surrounding a dumpster. how clumsy of me ha! I’m so silly. I wasn’t watching where I was going and it was dark so…” my words trail off as I finally look directly at my friends. none of them are believing this story at all.
“tell us the truth, it’s alright. you’re safe here.” leo speaks with such a warm tone, it makes holding back my tears even harder than it already was.
“I’m fine! I promise I’m fine, really I just tripped!” I force my lips into a thin line, trying to twist them into some kind of smile, until mikey pokes at my cheek. I turn to him.
“please tell us what’s wrong.” is he giving me puppy eyes? damn it mikey…
I couldn’t push back my tears any longer and the flood gates exploded. I was in hysterics, sobbing so loudly it bounced off the walls of the lair. I couldn’t stop, each sob rippled through me and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. the boys cooed at me, all of them placing a hand somewhere on my body to ground me and to let me know that I’m not alone as I cried. they tried still asking me questions but I couldn’t get out any words, only heartbreaking whimpers left my mouth. they accepted their fate of silent sobs though and simply stayed beside me.
after a while, I’ve calmed down slightly, and I see the boys look at each other and nod in the corner of my blurry eyes. then, all of a sudden, raph and leo run off. they come back not long after with a basin of water, towels and some other things that I can’t quite see cradled in their large hands. my curiosity is answered in a split second though as the four begin to wipe away the dirt that covers me, still allowing me to ride out my cries in the meantime.
raph gets back into his bent position to gently clean my face, donnie and mikey clean down my arms, and leo starts to brush my hair the best that he can. it must be a brush that april keeps here at the lair, since I don’t think I’ve left one here before.
they continued like this - softly wiping and rinsing - until they were sure that they had done all they can do to rid me of this sticky mess, and until I was able to stabilise my breathing and speak somewhat clearly again.
“april is going to be mad that you got ketchup on her hairbrush,” I say lowly between hiccups. leo laughs and assures me that the brush is perfectly fine; no need to worry.
it is silent (apart from the sound of my sniffling) while they put down their tools and clear them away from the couch, until donnie speaks, “we don’t want to push you to talk but we are here to listen if you want to.”
maybe it is finally time to talk about it. as much as I don’t want to, I think I need to. I’m always the one with a bright smile and cheery attitude but I need to let that go for now. I need comfort, and I need to admit that to myself - even if it’s for this singular moment.
I begin to explain the story of the date and how it went terribly wrong - just the vital details to build the story rather than adding my feelings about it. being vulnerable like this isn’t my strong point so I need to prepare myself to talk about that part with truth and from the heart.
I can see the pure rage in raph’s eyes as he sits in front of me, his teeth grinding together and a low growl coming out of him. he goes to say something but donnie stops him with a hand on his shoulder. he gives red a pat and he seems to understand what he is signalling, inhaling and exhaling with his eyes closed before fixing his posture to listen to me again.
“you know, I don’t know if I want raph to rough up him or rough up me at this point,” I let out a laugh to try and soften the atmosphere but the expressions of the boys tell me that it didn’t work. they look confused; sad. “a good rough up might fix whatever is wrong with me, because it’s obviously me. look at me! why else would he have made plans to humiliate me like that? what do I need to punch into shape - the way I look? the way I act?” I laugh again with the same intent as earlier despite knowing that it is going to do nothing to lessen the impact of my words.
“did he specifically make you feel like that?” raph says through gritted teeth, “that you’re not good enough?”
“no, I guess I’ve been feeling that way for a while. he just made it worse - a lot worse.” my eyes start to burn again with more tears. I’m surprised I’m not dehydrated yet.
mikey grabs my face in his hands, his eyes also look clouded with tears, “you are so beautiful. really, you are. I remember when I first saw you I was like ‘woah, they’re even prettier than the humans I see on tv!’ you don’t need to change anything about the way you look, I can tell you that for sure.”
“nor do you need to change anything about your personality or how you act,” donnie chimes in. “why do you think we like you so much? you’re awesome! you’re smart, kind, caring, plus you treat us like we’re golden and we’re literally in the sewers right now,” we all giggle at the last statement he makes.
leo pats me on the head, signally me to look up towards him, “you are the greatest friend we could have ever asked for, and if we need to remind you of that more then we will. you deserve to feel that you’re worthy and loved and I can tell you with certainty that you are when you’re here with us. there’s no need to hide from us, we’ve got you’re back.”
raph grabs my hand, “and seriously, if you want us to go and talk to that guy we will.”
“raph!” the others shout. I laugh at the slight panic hiding in their voices - it’s fully directed at their brother and his fists.
“what?! I said talk not bash into the ground so what do you want from me?!”

the longest movie marathon
platonic!rottmnt x gn!reader
summary: after your snow day had gone to all hell thanks to ghostbear, a very alarming piece of information came to light: you had never seen a jupiter jim movie. not a single one. that just wouldn’t do. you know what that means - movie night! [set after s1e23b, snow day]
word count: 916
a/n: first real post! i’m not sure how i feel about the writing on this one, but i tried. i’m also still on mobile (i’m probably going to be on mobile for a while) so again, formatting might be messed up. hope someone enjoys this!
Tumblr media
◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤
That morning, you had woken up to a fresh layer of snow over New York.
Needless to say, you were delighted. You were even more delighted when you received a text from Leo, asking to hang out with everyone at the park. You had a great time; you built a snowman, participated in a snowball fight, and the hot cocoa was great too!
Oh, and pro wrestling champion Ghostbear got mutated and attacked you, but that’s just a given.
However, throughout the day, the turtles and April kept arguing over movie rankings. Even Mayhem seemed to have an opinion (every time you saw him, that thing seemed more and more intelligent). It was pretty funny, actually. It all sounded so bizarre out of context. You thought they’d finally dropped it after freezing Ghostbear. You should’ve known better than that. Just as you were leaving, Leo made some comment, and it was back in full force.
“I’m sorry, but have you seen the special effects in JJ Sails the Seven Galaxies? It is absolutely HORRENDOUS-!”
“There is a REASON PV4 is the last Pluto Vacation!”
They’d been going on like this for nearly two blocks now. You were used to this sort of thing - hell, you were a part of this sort of thing when you understood the topic. The longer it went on, the more ridiculous the arguments got, and less comprehensible. You were starting to near your apartment, but they showed no signs of stopping.
“(Y/N)!”
“JEEZ-“ You stumbled, dropping the sled you’d been dragging behind you. You had not expected all of them to yell your name at once.
“You haven’t said anything-“
“All day!” Leo cut Donnie off. April jammed a hand over both of their mouths.
“You’re gonna settle this for us. Which is the better movie, Pluto Vacation 4-“
“- Or Sails the Seven Galaxies?” Raph finished.
There was a silence. They all stared, waiting for your reply.
“Dunno. I’ve never seen ‘em.”
“WHAT?!”
•°. *࿐
You’d gone years of your life without seeing even a single Jupiter Jim movie. According to the turtles, April, and (apparently) Mayhem, this was nothing less than a crime against sci-fi. Thus, movie night was scheduled.
One week later, you sat in the lair. Donnie was fiddling with the projector, which wasn’t turning on because Leo had unplugged it. You weren’t going to tell him that, of course. April was going over the ‘ground rules’ with you.
“Oh, and whatever you do, do NOT get attached to Planetary Percy, okay?”
“Why-“
“Don’t.”
The projection screen suddenly flickered to life. You turned around to see Donnie by the outlet, glaring at Leo.
“Gee. I wonder who could’ve done that.”
Watching the stare-off, you were just waiting for Donnie to throw something at him. Before that could occur, however, Mikey appeared from seemingly nowhere holding a pizza box.
“PIZZA! And plenty of other snacks waiting in the kitchen for whenever we’re ready!”
“Thanks, Mikey!” Everyone took a slice for themselves. Just as Leo was taking his, Donnie hit him in the back with a pillow.
“HEY-!”
Raph quickly snatched said pillow up from the ground and held it to his chest. You tuned the twins out and turned to Raph, who was sitting on the floor by the couch. “Where’s Splinter?”
“Oh, he doesn’t like Jupiter Jim. Lou Jitsu superiority, and all that.” Raph shrugged.
“Makes sense.”
“I still can’t believe you’ve never seen Jupiter Jim!” Mikey sat down next to you.
“Yeah, I mean, it seems like the kind of thing you’d be into.” April agreed. “Why’d you never watch it?”
You shrugged. “Spite.”
“Excuse me?”
“Spite. It’s like a game, seeing just how long you can go without it. It drives people insane, it’s funny.”
“You monster.”
“I know.” You grinned. “But I’ll watch it with you guys, if it’s really that important to you.”
“Aw, you do care about us!” You lightly kicked Raph’s arm.
“Are we going to start the movie or not?”
Within the next five minutes, Donnie finally got the very first Jupiter Jim movie set up. You were sandwiched in between April and Mikey, the latter of whom kept quoting lines as they were said. Every so often, Donnie would pipe up with some behind the scenes fun fact, or he’d explain some easter egg.
Jupiter Jim movies 1-3 was pretty decent as a trilogy.
Jupiter Jim: Pluto Vacation was mediocre.
Jupiter Jim Sails the Seven Seas was fantastic.
Jupiter Jim: Origins was fantastically bad.
You fell asleep during the holiday special - according to Leo, you didn’t really miss anything.
You spent all night watching every single movie in this ridiculously long franchise. You knew you’d regret it when you needed to do homework tomorrow, but in the moment, you had no regrets.
As the credits to Atomic Lass Returns rolled, you let out a long yawn. Everyone looked pretty tired - Mikey had fallen asleep on your shoulder three times already.
“And that’s the last one. Well, until May 23rd, when Atomic Lass Dies Again comes out,” Donnie announced.
You stretched, feeling a bone pop somewhere. “I’m pretty sure that was the longest movie marathon in my life.”
“Oh, probably.” April yawned. “But now that it’s over…”
Here we go again.
“Which is the best movie, (y/n)?”
What were you expecting, really? All eyes were on you, waiting for you to decide the fate of Jupiter Jim’s tier ranking.
“I like Invasion of the Squirrelanoids best, actually.”
“OH, COME O-“

2012 Caseynardo’s Love Story Headcanon
How the Leo x Casey ship would come to be if I wrote TMNT 2012
Tumblr media
Their love story starts during the farmhouse arc in season 3 when Casey notices Raph is under a lot of stress and pressure from being the temporary leader of the group while Leo is injured and recovering. He’s got a lot on his plate: taking care of Leo because of his injury, looking after Mikey and Donnie, and even being the one who is making sure Mikey, Donnie and April are all keeping up with their ninja training. Because of this Casey offers to look after and take care of Leo so Raph can focus more on training everybody, and Raph accepts.
This decision results in Leo and Casey spending a lot more time together while living on the farmhouse. Casey would keep Leo company at the house while the others were off training, and together they would hang out, play video games, joke together, watch movies (sometimes Spaceheroes), and also chat and get to know each other more. Overtime the two actually became really close, and they realize they had a lot more common than they originally believed. They are both the oldest siblings of their families and they are willing to do everything in their power to protect them and keep their younger sibling(s) safe and happy (Reminder: Casey canonly has a little sister). They both relate to the feeling that they feel more like a parent to their siblings then an actual sibling because their fathers are never around to take care of them because they are always busy so they unwillingly take on the responsibility.
After this moment of realization and bonding, Leo began to develop feelings for Casey first. Spending so much time together Leo began seeing another side of Casey realizing there’s more to him than just being the reckless troublemaker that his brother hangs out with all the time. Leo admires that no matter the difficult and hard situation Casey is in, he always looks at the positive side of it all. Casey comes from a broken family and lives a difficult life (Note: I believe the writers have confirmed that Casey’s parents are divorced, that’s why I say “broken family”) but yet he still holds his head up high and keeps going. He’s actually more mature than Leo thought.
Casey also began to develop feelings for Leo around this time because Leo was the only person who genuinely listened to him and understood his struggles. April never truly did that. She listened, but didn’t understand, and for Raph he understood but hardly listened because he (like many others) don’t take Casey seriously. Also around this time Casey feelings for April began to fade. He still cares about her, and loves her as a friend, but not in a romantic light. He also grew tired of the love triangle, because he knew that April was growing feelings for Donnie at this point, so he found it pointless being in a competition where he already knows what the results will be, but that doesn’t stop him from still messing with Donnie when it comes to April related stuff.
So Leo (being the closest bisexual I HC him to be) becomes very overwhelmed with his new feelings for Casey, while Casey (who I also HC as bi) is chill with it and doesn’t overthink his feelings but thinks Leo doesn’t feel the same for him, when in truth he does like him too, Casey’s just very oblivious. Whenever he would get close to Leo (hugging him, touching his shoulder, etc) Leo gets really flustered and blush and then panic like an idiot, Casey just thinks that he’s making Leo uncomfortable. Leo also doesn’t realize that Casey likes him to because he thinks Casey still likes April because he still sees him rivaling with Donnie for April, which reminder Casey’s only doing this now to mess with Donnie not because he likes a April anymore.
During and after they leave the farmhouse, there’s pining feelings between them, sometimes even friendly flirty. Later on the Kraang are defeated, New York was saved by the Turtles and Mutanimals, and the city is trying to go back to normal. One night while on patrol, Casey ask Raph if Leo ever talks about him when he’s not around. Raph immediately picks up what’s going on (their little moments of flirting we’re obvious to him, but everyone else was blind) and quickly tells Casey to just go for it and ask out his brother, because out of everybody Raph knows Leo had a terrible first experience with romance (Note: Leo’s romantic feelings for Karai disappeared the second he found out she was his sister, something the writers should’ve done, and because of this Leo had a hard time excepting romance again. *Cue “I Think I’m In Love Again” by Kat Dahlia*)
A little nervous, Casey takes Raph’s advice and asked Leo if he wants to go on a date with him. Leo is shocked by this and believe Casey just means to hang out as friends, but Casey tell him that he’s liked him for a while and wants to go on an actual date with him and Leo happily accepts.
Keeping their newfound relationship a secret from everybody else, except for Raph because he obviously now knows, the two have their first day at the hockey rink. The two have a really fun time and by the end of the date they come close to sharing their first kiss, but Leo stops himself. Leo tells Casey that he really does like him and wants to be in a relationship with him but Leo knows he can’t right now. At the moment he has too much stress and pressure of being leader, Karai is still out there lost in her mutant snake form (though Leo is not interested in Karai romantically anymore he still cares about her because she is his family and he wants to bring her home), Shredder is still out there, and who knows what others threats will soon come their way. Casey is sad but completely understands, telling Leo that he will wait for him. The two agree to be friends after that date and the story continues on as per usual with the occasional flirty banter between them both. By season 4 everyone picks up what is going on between them, and some wonder when are they finally going to get together. It’s a “right person wrong time” situation.
By the end, they would officially get together and their relationship would be confirmed during the season 5 episode, When Worlds Collide. Remember that scene of Leo in the dojo training with Karai? Have that scene play out and just replace Karai with Casey ;)

The recent chapter was amazing one v two was so good, ugh and the ending 😂, wondering through, I know you mentioned how complicated their relationship is, but does two feel anything about doing that to one? Or is somewhat numbed to it all? Like it’s necessary ect, if that made sense… love the art and fic so much 🤗
I am so glad you asked. I'm going to take so long to get to the point.
Spoilers for EMD smart lair:
When Two first threatens One with shutting off his EPCVI he's furious and desperate because from where he stands, if he doesn't do something drastic, both their lives are over: "'Nothing I do is without a reason! Nothing!'" / “'They are our last chance to finally fix Alpha 9! Without them we are nothing!'”
Throughout season one, no matter what Two says or does One never listens to him and always sticks to his own agenda. This is a magnification of how in Rise (especially the movie) Leo tends to focus on only doing things his way and not wanting/needing any or much help. On top of that, Somni and I were just talking about how a lot of One and Two's fights are about power plays against each other. We've talked a bit about the complications in their relationship stemming from the power imbalance and lack of respect between them (mostly for Two). So their fights are a bit repetitive since it all comes back to the same problem, manifested and brought to the surface by One's agenda, but the stakes are raised each time until the breaking point in Smart Lair when One acts on his plans.
So making that first threat in SL was a trump card for Two and absolutely a last resort. We joke that Two could get revenge by turning One's heart off whenever he gets even slightly ticked off but really, jokes aside, it's important to keep in mind that deactivating One is the worst case scenario if One is really out of control. Two doesn't really gain anything by shutting One off except for maybe more spotlight for himself (but given his and Draxum's relationship that's a very small opportunity for Two, and we see in Smart Lair that Two gets in trouble for threatening to use the protocol without permission), so the reveal of the off switch and Two's threat that he can use it at any moment shows how desperate Two is in Smart Lair. He's tried everything to get One to stop but he just keeps pushing, so Two has to threaten him with the deactivation. "'I can change my mind if you don’t step. Back. In. Line.'”
That being said, using it once could set a precedent for future crises
anyway.
When they go back with Draxum, Two's already tattled on One for his insubordination because, above almost all else, Two prioritizes the mission since it is quite literally his life's purpose. Like in Bug Busters, he's trying to put One at fault, only now he has a clearer idea of how and why he's failing, and it's undoubtedly One's fault. And this time Draxum sees for himself that One really wasn't planning on helping out at all, which is grounds for deactivation. "'You've become a nuisance.'" If One won't follow orders he's a liability for Draxum, so Draxum orders Two to shut him off. Two complies because A. it's a direct order, and B. it's the logical solution to the problem. It's protocol. As for what he's feeling... probably nothing. Logically, Two knows that One isn't dead, he's off. It's a temporary, controlled state, one that he can monitor himself, so there's no real loss. (One definitely and understandably doesn't see it that way). I think in that moment, if anything, it takes a bit of pressure off Two because the threat has been neutralized. However, both One and Two think that once Draxum takes them off the project they're done for good. So he's also detached because without One, the leader, it's unclear exactly what will happen to Alpha 9. Two knows that Raph and Mikey don't want to be there and have none of the right training. So for him it's a kind of uncertain moment. Two's position is definitely not secure without One and after ratting on his officer and acting pretty extremely, and we see the consequences of that just a second after One's neutralized. But again, to him, the order against One makes sense. They are experiments meant to follow orders. If they fail to do so, they are no longer useful, and thus disposed of. Two was just following orders and standard protocol.
From the audience's perspective though, it's pretty messed up. Two likely won't really realize what he did to One until after he unlearns the mentality that they are more subjects than people, and that he has power over mortality (the "there's nothing I can't fix" mentality is a huge part of how he rationalizes the risks he takes).
Sorry for the long response I just love talking about these two and a lot of what we put into the chapters is very behind the scenes or in between the lines
Glad you liked the chapter! It got pretty intense but we really like to push conflicts and see where it goes :)

Time Is All We Have
A Doctor Who x Rise of the TMNT Xover interest check/story prologue because i'm losing all control of my life lmao
Quick mini-primer for where in both timelines we are:
Non-teetle fixaters, you can just watch the first few minutes of the Rise movie. Bad future timeline shenanigans wahoo! You should probably also get a feel for the regular present timeline from the show if you can, though we won't be directly interacting with it for a quite a bit. Because Reasons. :)
Non-Who fixaters, we're rolling with David Tennant Doctor The First and the companion named Martha Jones. The name similarity to the Casey Joneses makes me giggle, especially now that I've watched through the (REDACTED) episodes where she ends up with some more Caseys parallels. Those haven't happened yet for her though lmao. Frankly, she's only had a few episodes'-worth of adventures with the Doctor by this point. :)
anyway. shoutout to my brother purpletango for having this idea. i believe what i hurriedly jotted down in my notepad app went like this:
the rise movie begins, mikey gets ready to send junior back in time- -and something goes wrong. welp, the gateway's there now. may as well use it. junior gets yeeted through (and my brain is now adding the idea of leo realizing something's up and going with him) and junior (and maybe leo) land…in the TARDIS. now they gotta get back to earth (hoping they're at least in the right dimension) to find the key and stop the krang. NO PRESSURE LMFAO
with a lil tweaking to the premise that just sorta happened as i was writing, i'm now at 26k words of combined fic and notes. it has been 2.5 weeks. i am nowhere near done. help lmao
gonna be doing something a bit funky with the tardis here just to get the ball rolling. idk if it's a canon thing that can happen but if it's not then shshshshshshsh just pretend with me. take my hand
Almost exactly twelve hours prior to the moment he died, when the rest of what remained of the Resistance had been asleep and it had only been the turtles awake to keep watch, Michelangelo had looked to his big brother and said, "We can't beat them, can we?"
Last night, Leonardo had swallowed and given a slight shake of his head. "We can't."
"They've even stolen the night sky from us somehow," Michelangelo had said, lifting his gaze to the cloudless, crimson sky. "Look, there's no stars anymore."
"When did that happen?" Leonardo had asked under his breath. "We still had at least a handful last I checked…"
"Sometime since the last time we had enough peace and quiet at night to actually look up. I'd say…in the past few weeks?" Michelangelo had suggested.
There had been silence for a long moment after that, broken only by the quiet, deep breathing of the few who were left, as well as the shifting of Michelangelo's cloak as he scooted a bit closer to his brother.
Between the two of them, Leonardo and Michelangelo had enough organic fingers and toes to count everyone else who'd survived the past twenty-odd years. Then again, with only two toes on each foot, three fingers on each hand, and three organic hands left to use…well. Less than twenty wasn't exactly an army.
Casey had shifted in his sleep, eventually, mumbling something incoherent the way his mother always had.
Leonardo had swallowed.
Michelangelo had pulled his gaze back down to Earth and looked at him.
"The Krang won't give us the mercy of dying," Leonardo had said grimly. "Not if they can help it."
"They won't," Michelangelo had agreed.
"The others chose to fight with us. Humans, yokai, and mutants. Even Todd. Never would've expected him of all yokai to be so kickass, back in the day. But…this is all Casey's ever known," Leonardo had continued.
"It is."
There had been a shifting in the shadows off in the distance, then, and while it had turned out to be easily taken care of, it had still put a pause on the brothers' conversation for a bit.
When they'd gotten back, but before they'd woken the others and gotten moving again, Leonardo had nailed Michelangelo with a solemn look. "We can't avoid this forever, but Casey…"
"I know you're not talking about that thing we talked about never talking about," Michelangelo had said, raising the ridges of his brows for a deadpan look and a wry smile.
Leonardo had jabbed an elbow into his plastron with a thick snicker…but he hadn't denied it.
Michelangelo had sobered up, then. "Oh."
"Do you think you can do it?" Leonardo had asked as he'd knelt to shake April awake, pausing before he did to meet Michelangelo's eyes.
"I know I can," Michelangelo had said, remaining quiet about how 'it' would very likely be the end of him.
They'd both already known as much.
"When?"
"I-I don't know. When things look bleakest," Leonardo had tried. "If it comes down to us. If it's just you and somebody else. If…if it's just you."
Michelangelo had nodded, then put a hand on his brother's carapace. "The Krang'll get front-row seats to Earth's very own home-grown sun. And that's a Doctor Delicate Touch guarantee."
"Wouldn't expect anything less, little man," Leonardo had chuckled. "Give 'em a light show that'll have 'em running scared."
"I can fly, Leo. And 'little man' was always Raph's thing," Michelangelo had snickered, reaching down to wake Casey. "Hey, Casey, we gotta get moving. Mind waking up and reminding your sensei that I win all height contests forever, no take-backs?"
The noise had begun rousing the others, and Leonardo had scoffed. "Turning my own student against me, Mikey? Low blow."
"Nah," April had said from where she lay. "This is a low blow."
She had snapped an arm out to smack Leonardo's shin, and the rest of the survivors had woken to quiet laughter.
It had been nice.
The last moment of calm within the storm.
In the present, Michelangelo winced as the mystic energies swirling through him reached a crescendo, but still pushed further, digging his fingers into the fabric of reality and wrenching it apart.
With Leonardo wounded, everyone else outnumbered, and Krang closing in on all sides, it was definitely pretty bleak.
There was no better time to make a time gateway than when there was no time left, after all.
His heart pounded in his tympana, loudly enough he almost could have sworn it echoed, a thud-thud-thud-thud that wanted to shake him to the core.
For a moment, with the Krang bearing down on him, his brother, and his nephew, it felt like he was losing his grip.
Casey's voice managed to overpower the thud-thud-thud-thud: "Master Michelangelo, no! You're gonna-!"
He knew.
How could he not, with light cracking his skin and his scales into little flakes of dust on the wind?
But Casey…he was the future.
The best of all of them.
As long as Casey would be okay, Michelangelo could do anything. Would do anything.
He turned his head back over his shoulder for one last look.
Casey looked horrified.
Leonardo looked resigned.
There was no one else left.
(He didn't want to go.)
Michelangelo smiled and gave his family a cheeky little wink, then turned his attention to the time gateway in front of him, threw his arms out to his sides with one last heave-!
-and like Earth's very own home-grown supernova, like the very last star in the universe, he imploded into golden light.
Leonardo felt himself shatter inside as Mikey disintegrated and the time gate stabilized, but the Krang were still closing in.
"Casey, when you're done saving the world, do me a favor," he said, putting a hand on the kid's shoulder.
Casey looked up at him with wide eyes. "Sensei, don't-!"
Leonardo just smiled sadly and shifted his grip from comforting to more of a ready to throw.
He ignored the fire in his side and the trickle of blood down his plastron as he hurled Casey into the gateway. "Grab a slice-!"
"NO!"
Casey's scream was the only warning Leonardo had before the wrist-strapped grapple (standard issue, at least before Donnie had gone out with a bang) streaked back out of the portal, latched onto Leonardo's good shoulder, and yanked him off his feet.
"Whoawhoawhoawhoawhoa-!"
The deafening thrum of a Krang laser and a flash of heat at his back told Leonardo exactly how he should have died, but the sensations vanished just as quickly as they'd appeared, leaving only the golden light of Michelangelo's ninpo and the silhouette a few yards away that told Leonardo where Casey was.
Leo almost let himself go limp in the rushing mass of energy as it faded from golden-orange to something more bluish-gray.
Almost.
Instead, however, he grit his teeth against the way his wound flared up and started swimming for Casey.
The light around them grew brighter with no signs of stopping.
By the time Leo reached the kid, he had to screw his eyes shut to avoid going blind.
He managed to grab Casey's hand, then wrap himself protectively around him-
-and then some kind of metal grating slammed against his carapace, his head snapped back, and he knew only darkness.
The Doctor blinked at the sudden sound of beeping. "Oh? That doesn't sound right."
"Doctor? What is it?" asked Martha.
"I'm getting an alert," said he, darting over to one of the TARDIS' monitors for a look. "An alert that there's a lifeform catapulting through the timestream almost completely unprotected- two! Two lifeforms!"
Martha blinked. "What? How did that happen?"
"I don't know, but if we want to find out, we'd best get them onboard before whatever shielding they do have is eroded away." The Doctor studied the monitor for a moment more, then slid around the console and started throwing the appropriate levers and flicking the appropriate switches. "I need to focus on getting close- would you mind peeking out the doors to make sure my aim isn't off?"
"On it!"
The Doctor grinned, then turned his focus back to steering. "Aaalright then! They ought to be coming up just ahead, maybe a smidge to our left-!"
"I see them!" Martha called. "One of them- one looks human!"
The Doctor blinked, then looked up. "Only the one?"
Martha nodded, not tearing her eyes from the window. "The other looks almost like a turtle! Except, well, it's person-sized!"
"Curiouser and curiouser," the Doctor mused. Then, looking back down at the console, "Well, I think the simplest course of action would be to just…scoop them up!"
Martha glanced his way in confusion. "What, just open the door and grab 'em?"
"Exactly. You'll want to be quick and precise," the Doctor recommended. "Good to know we're on the same page."
After a moment to process what he'd said, Martha nodded slowly. "…right."
The Doctor carefully piloted the TARDIS close, and as he watched the energy readings of the two lifeforms get close enough, he heard Martha open the door, then yelp in surprise as something hard hit the metal flooring with a clang.
"Sensei?!" squawked the thick and emotional voice of a pubescent human boy.
"Oh, my," said the Doctor, skirting the edge of the console as he jogged over for a look.
Immediately, he could tell that whatever the circumstances were that had led to the two strangers being catapulted into the timestream, they had not been pretty. Between the apocalyptic fashion and weaponry, the fact that the turtle had seemingly been curled around the boy until losing consciousness, and the sight of tear tracks on the boy's face…well, a billboard would have been less obvious.
The boy glanced between the Doctor and Martha, wide eyes quickly shifting into suspicion as he slid off "Sensei's" plastron and placed himself between the turtle and the Doctor. "Who are you? What do you want with us? Are you with the Krang?"
Huh. He sounded American.
"Krang?" asked Martha, turning to him. "Doctor, what's a Krang?"
The Doctor frowned, mulling the word over. "Krang? Krang, Krang, KrangKrangKrang… Can't say I recognize the name. Bit of a shocker, really, and somewhat worrisome."
The boy's face spasmed, confusion clearly welling up, but the door chose to remind them all that it was still open by letting a tannish cloak drift through and land next to the two newcomers.
The sight of the cloak made the boy's eyes moisten further.
Oh, dear.
"Martha, could you get the door?" asked the Doctor, shifting his voice into something a little softer as he knelt next to the two strangers.
"Oh, uh- you got it."
As Martha did exactly that, the Doctor met the boy's eyes. "I'm the Doctor. Behind you is Martha, and this is the TARDIS. I don't know what it is you're running from, whatever this 'Krang' business is, but I promise you, you're safe here."
The boy's suspicion slowly lessened, the tension in his shoulders loosening some- though, notably, nowhere near completely. "And…what's a tardis?"
"My spaceship," said the Doctor modestly. "'S how I get around. What I want to know is, how did a humanoid teenager and a turtleman with a robotic arm end up hurtling through the timestream all on their lonesome?"
At that, the boy's gaze flickered to the cloak on the ground, and his jaw hardened in that way jaws tended to do when the only other option was to sob.
"…I see," said the Doctor quietly. "While I'd like to know the specifics, pushing this sort of thing never really seems to work out well. So I won't."
"You-" The boy's voice cracked, and he tried again. "You said you were a doctor?"
"The Doctor," corrected he.
"Though I've been training as one for quite some time, myself!" Martha reminded.
The boy visibly warred with himself for a moment, then grit his teeth and pulled slightly away from the turtle's side, revealing a nasty gash that had gone clean through his shell. "Help him. Please."
Martha gasped. "Oh, God-!"
The Doctor's eyes flew wide, but then he nodded firmly. "We'll do everything we can."

Ok, I'm literally obsessed with the Separated!AU, I read all in the tag in a couple of hours, I made this account just for this AU
I want to know something, does Lou Jitsu exist? Like did Splinter also became a movie star in this AU too, if so, does the turtles like it as much as in canon?. I just can't stop thinking about a Leo who discovered Lou Jitsu movies and probably getting an hoperfixation over them and watching them non-stop when the day went wrong
Tumblr media
Lou Jitsu does exist! I imagine Raph was never a huge Jupiter Jim fan, seeing as Splinter hates Jupiter Jerk, and Raph probably picked up on that, adopting the same mindset (I HC that Rise!Leo was the one who originally got his bros to watch it—seeing as he’s always referred to as the super fan, and because I love any call back to soft dork Space Heroes Leo SO. MUCH.) When Raph met April, she probably tried to get him into Jupiter Jim cause she likes the franchise, but Raph only really enjoys a couple films and according to April his taste in which JJ movie is the best is so bad, it’s not even worth talking to him about it.
Mikey would also be a hard core Lou Jitsu fan, but more from what he’s seen from his Battle Nexus fights. Lou Jitsu is the longest reigning champion after all—a total legend—with Mikey holding the title of second longest. Angelo straight up loses his mind when he finds out that there’s a whole filmography to enjoy, the old BN clips that Big Mama used to play for him were cool, but they were grainy and sometimes the angles sucked. But with the movies Mikey gets to see his hero in full remastered high def.
Leo is a Jupiter Jim fan first and foremost cause he’s secretly a huge dork. When he was little, a few of the older recruits had a movie night, and Leo, with just a hint of rebellion still in him, snuck in—just missing out on Punch Chowder, but right on time to catch Jupiter Jim Sails the Seven Galaxies. Ever since that night he was hooked, but had so few chances to ever enjoy anything more. Once he gets closer to April, she lets him borrow her whole collection of movies, series box sets, and comics, and the two are so happy to be able to geek out over all of it together, even if they can never agree on which movie is the best, April figures bad taste is just genetic at this point and has given up fighting it. Secretly though, Leo also loves Lou Jitsu after watching a few with Mikey and Raph, he just refuses to admit how much he likes it and says the dialogue is too corny. The two constantly gang up on Leo, saying that Lou Jitsu is better than Jupiter Jim, so it’s more him choosing one over the other out of stubborn pride.
Donnie is April’s saving grace with Jupiter Jim—agreeing offhandedly one day that Planet Vacation is the best movie of the ones he’s seen so far. However this is still in their off phase, and the irony is not lost on April. She’s devastated that the one brother with good taste seems to want nothing to do with her, but she’s now more invested than ever in winning Donnie over.
Once Donnie’s introduced to Lou Jitsu’s movies, he’s the one to point out how cool it is that their dad is a movie star. Which causes everyone to lose their shit. Because even though Splinter told Raph and April about his past with the Shredder as Hamato Yoshi, he never actually mentioned that he was THE action film star Lou Jitsu. But of course Donnie knows, because pretty much all he heard from Draxum for years was Lou Jitsu’s DNA this—Lou Jitsu ruined his life’s work that blah blah blah.
Tumblr media
@organisedchaosstuff They’re just a bit too old to trick or treat unfortunately, but it is still a fun night where they get to walk around and not worry about freaking ppl out. The first year they’re all really together, Mikey pulls that whole ‘younger sibling who did a thing ONCE and now he thinks he’s an expert’ and acts like he’s Leo and Donnie’s guide for the night, even though Raph has been doing Halloween with April since they met.
Mikey’s just so excited he can hardly contain himself. Halloween at Big Mama’s was always a big to do. But it was, like always, a big fancy party that felt more like a chore than anything. The night he went out with Raph and April the year before, was more fun than 100 parties put together and now with Donnie and Leo it’ll be even more fun—even if Leo refuses to dress up—at least Donnie agreed to have some fun and dressed up as Frankenstein. Mikey dresses as a werewolf, Raph a vampire and April goes full zombie.
Everyone counts it as a win, when seconds before they head out, Raph plops a Jupiter Jim helmet on Leo’s head, and barring some slight grumbling, he ends up wearing it the whole night as they run around.

Hi, I saw the requests were open again! Hope you don’t mind me posting this ask again…
Hello! I recently found your blog and I am hooked. I absolutely adore your TMNT Bayverse oneshots! The personalities and diologue fit perfectly with the boys! I was wondering if you could take a story request from me, if not that's totally understandable. I'm a huge sucker for angst with a happy ending and I've had this scenario stewing in my head for a while.
How would each of the turtles react if their s/o (the reader) somehow ended up on the top of Sacks Tower during the final battle in the first movie and distracted Shredder to help them gain the upper hand, but gets beaten within an inch of their life and passes out/dies in their turtle's arms after they take out Shredder? Whether they eventually wake up/get healed with the mutagen by the end of the scenario is up to you. Sorry if this is a little too hard to understand btw.
Keep up the outstanding work! You're an amazing writer!
TMNT reaction to s/o helping defeat shredder and being turned into a mutant
A/n: I'm so happy you love my work! I hope you like it! Sorry if there are any errors I wrote this while being sick and I don't feel like proof reading it 🤧
Tumblr media
Raphael
He told you to stay with April?!
You clearly can't listen
And he really wishes you did
He doesn't want you to be in danger
You absolutely stun everyone on that roof when you decide to distract Shredder by attempting to break dance
"Hey Shredder look at these sick moves!"
He turned to see you begin to flail around.
(if you can actually dance I apologize. He loves you either way.)
Honestly you distracted him too but all it took was Leo yelling at him and he snapped back into action.
Never did he expect you to be side swiped by shredder he was sure he would get you out of there without you getting hurt.
Once they defeated shredder you were his main concern
His heart absolutely shattered at the sight of you laying there lifeless.
But he was so thankful for the mutagen
And made Donnie give it to you right away.
He loved you no matter what you looked like and he would never let you put yourself in harms way again.
Leonardo
Are you insane?! Why are you up here rn?
He specifically told everyone that you were to sit in the car and wait.
He pulled you away from walking towards shredder and pushed you to the exit.
Obviously you weren't leaving without a fight bc the next thing you did was call shredder a little bish
And Leo was shocked so shocked that he wasn't quick enough to make a move to stop you from running towards him
And everything froze when Shredder smacked you.
It was over for shredder the moment he touched you and he absolutely took all his anger out on him.
Immediately asked Donnie if they still had the mutagen to give you
And they did so he gave it to you without hesitation
Because he couldn't live his life without you
And you can guarantee he scolded you when you woke.
He would tell you later when no one else was there that it was a little impressive.
Donatello
He wasn't even shocked he had a feeling you would do this
You were reckless and it was something he loved about you but not right now.
Because there was no way he could keep you safe.
You were too close to shredder and he was to far away
By the time he made it to you you were already half way across the building
He made sure they defeated shredder and he was instantly by your side
Giving you the mutagen as soon as he got it from April.
He didn't care what you looked like he loved you and you scared him half to death with your stupidity
"Idiot." Is the first thing he said to you all while holding you tightly to his chest.
Michelangelo
He would be so proud of you
Until he realized that you were about to be hurt.
But he wasn't quick enough and you getting hurt is something he would beat himself up about for the rest of his life.
Even with your consist it wasn't your fault he would never let you be in harms way again
He didn't even really help defeat shredder he was by your side as soon as possible
You were his sole purpose for being alive and he literally broke tf down at your lifeless body
But Donnie saved the day by giving you mutagen
And Mikey was so grateful.
Instantly all over you and telling you how much he loved you
He would in fact teach you how to defend yourself bc it made him feel like you were safer.
Always reminded you he didn't care what you looked like bc he loved you no matter what.
You were the pepperoni to his pizza

“Hamato Donatello,” Leo said, his even tone riding the line of good humor and sternness both. “How much shell time have you had today?”
Donnie pointedly doesn’t look up from his iPad. Making eye contact in these moments is too risky. Leo can clock a lie with such accuracy that Donnie thinks it must be a secondary mutation or something, because it certainly isn't natural. The only reason any of them get away with anything is because Donnie’s twin is an agent of chaos, more likely to encourage their stupidity than put a kibosh on it.
Shell time, however, is one of Those Things Leo Takes Very Seriously.
“Scoff,” Donnie says. “I’ll take a break in a minute, I want to finish reading this dissertation I found about chronic musculoskeletal pain and physiotherapy. Not all of it can be applied to us, given that it’s written by humans for humans, but—”
“Dude, it’s like four PM.” Leo’s tone has made its choice, leaning away from amused and into firm. Nooo. “You’re not gonna be able to sleep tonight if you don’t stretch out soon.”
“And I will, soon,” Don replies. It’s the pinnacle of absurdity that they’re talking about his stupid spine when Leo is the one recovering from multiple traumatic injuries.
Leo doesn’t think so, because of course he doesn’t. He’s like a dog with a bone. His persistent personality has saved all their shells more than a dozen times but that doesn’t mean Donnie has to like it when it’s aimed against him.
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” the slider says with no small amount of showmanship.
Despite himself, Donnie glances up from his tablet. He can feel himself go soft to match his dumb shell, even if it doesn’t show on his face. He loves Leo so much, even when Leo’s being his absolute worst self, and right now Leo is being his best. Warmth unspools like fiber cable in Donnie’s chest, prickly and sparking.
They came so close to losing him. What would they have done without him? It’s frightening to think about. For once in his life, Donnie doesn’t want to know.
He sits back in his chair, ignoring the twinge in his lower back the way he’s ignored it for the past three hours, and says, “What does the hard way look like?”
“You’re gonna hate it.”
“Color me intrigued.”
Leo shrugs and starts to lift himself up. The infirmary bed is raised at an angle, to help Leo breathe and reduce the risk of pneumonia that has kept Don awake at night, but now he’s pushing himself upright all the way, kicking at his blanket with the foot that isn’t casted.
“Oh my god, stop, I hate it,” Donnie blurts, all but flinging his tablet aside in his rush to put an end to this nightmare. “You win, you monster!”
Smugly, Leo says, “I always win. Even when I lose.”
“Oh, you must be feeling better,” Don tells him, easing him back down with gentle hands that don’t match his annoyed tone. “Because once again, you are completely delusional.”
It earns him a chuckle, a wheezing shade of what should have been a loud, lively thing, but it feels like a victory anyway. Don will take it. He won’t let it go.
Leo pats the bed beside him. Donnie sighs performatively, but he’s turtle enough to admit when he’s been outplayed.
The battle shell disengages with a hiss of hydraulics and he sets it aside. It’s such an immediate relief to work out his shoulders, and twist his fragile spine, that he maybe should have taken it off earlier, after all.
“Bring your tablet over here,” Leo says. “I wanna watch that baking show where no one knows what they’re doing.”
Donnie settles in beside him, and he doesn’t outwardly fuss the way Raph and Mikey and Casey all do, but he’s very, very careful behind the casual manner. His brother’s body was so broken, almost beyond repair. He has months of recovery left, and as the team medic, Leo knows that.
But he did what he did for the sake of his family and now he just wants to be close to them. He doesn’t want to be shut away in the infirmary and tiptoed around and hugged so gingerly that the mean voice in his brain is able to convince him that the space and distance and reluctant touches are because he did something wrong.
That mean inner voice that Leo sometimes listens to is as much his siblings’ sworn enemy as the Shredder ever was.
So, after a clan meeting taken when Leo was finally, fitfully asleep, and one educational screening of Patch Adams that made Casey and Raph both cry, they decided to forgo all the values of traditional medicine and give Leo what he needed instead.
They’re hardier than baseline humans are, and if the Krang couldn’t kill Leo in its own dimension than it’s likely nothing can, and these are the arguments Leo makes to be allowed out of bed.
It’s all a moot point. As soon as he lifts his hands toward Raph, Raph is already stooping to pick him up, no matter what side of the argument he’d been on a second ago.
Leo gets carried around so much he hasn’t even used the ethically-sourced wheelchair April dragged to the lair for him. There are so many people willing to hold him at all hours of the day and night that mobility is the least of his issues, even with all his broken bones.
They have to keep an eye on him. Sometimes Leo actually is too sore or too tired to do much of anything. Right now, there’s a rattle in his lungs that Donnie doesn’t like, so he’s stuck in bed for real. But that doesn’t mean they can’t keep him company anyway. And it’s not like they don’t want to be near him.
His infirmary bed is parked in the lab for now, but Mikey has made more than one passive-aggressive remark about brother-hoggers since lunch, so it’s likely they’ll end up having a sleepover in the living room again tonight.
It’s hard for Don sometimes, being in the middle of a group. It’s easy to feel smothered. His skin starts to itch if he can’t slip away. Sometimes a hug makes him want to slide into his shell the way Mikey hides in his when he gets spooked, even though it’s a biological impossibility for his species.
But it’s not hard all the time. There are some days when it’s the easiest thing in the world.
So Donnie is very careful, but it’s the work of seconds to get settled, because he’s done this about a billion times by now. He’s on Leo’s good side, so Leo can shuffle in as close as he wants, and he brings up the first season of Nailed It! on his iPad even though he knows Leo isn’t going to last a single episode.
Sure enough, in a manner of minutes, his brother’s head on his shoulder becomes a heavy weight and Leo’s breathing evens out in his sleep.
Donnie lets the rest of the episode play even though he could switch back to his dissertation now. The lights in the lab dimmed automatically when Leo started to doze off, and Donnie is too comfortable to bring them back up again.
He tips to the side until his cheek comes to rest on the top of his striped brother’s bruised head and when he exhales all the tension he’s been carrying around all day blows out of him.
Belatedly, Don realizes that he’s been conned into taking a nap.
“Ugh, Nardo, you are good,” he mutters, with grudging admiration.
Maybe there’s a different version of himself out there who really lost his best friend and better half. Maybe in some other timeline, they didn’t save Leo, and they had to make sense of a world without him.
Donnie thinks he feels sorry for that world, because there’s absolutely no way the Donatello who lives there hasn’t already torn it to pieces to get his brother back.

GOOD DAD DRAXUM AU GOOD DAD DRAXUM AU!!!! + Villain turtles (?)
So basically, what if Lou Jitsu didn't manage to snatch the turtles and they were raised by Baron Draxum
He's very very bad at parenting at first (he has exactly 0 knowledge on handling children)
Munnin and Huggin to the rescue!! (They don't know anything about parenting either but they do have something Barry lacks - common f-cking sense)
He was so happy his experiment worked out, he forgot to plan a bit ahead. In his mad scientist haze, he disregarded the fact he actually had to raise the specimens he made...
Actually their sentience was an accident! Draxum wanted mindless weapons (i physically cringed at that lol lfls gave me trauma), maybe pets, def not children. So at first he wasn't too happy with the outcome. But after realizing the possibilities their sentience opened, he was ecstatic, bragging to everyone that his experiment worked even better than planned.
He reads a lot of parenting books 👍
Barry has troubles with empathy, but he makes it up with a deep understanding of psychology and biology. He strives to bring out the most out of every turtle, so he tries to choose those training methods, that would actually WORK.
He read somewhere that children need physical touch at least four times a day to develop properly. He doesn't know what a hug is, so four times a day he just. Picks his children weapons up and holds them for a minute awkwardly. He eventually learned to be more casual when picking them up, but it took a while.
When the tots were still in their baby form, Draxum carried them on his shoulders instead of the gargoyles.
The tots really liked to sleep in the dog bed 🥺🥺 /bc of the fireplace/ Munnin and Huggin didn't mind, they either tried to squeeze themselves next to the turtles, or they just slept hanging upside down from something (like bats), keeping an eye on them.
They reclaim their bed happily when Draxum builds the tots a terrarium though.
Honestly those two go from evil henchmen to fulltime nannies in the matter of days and they enjoy it a lot, surpisingly.
The turtles enjoy Lou Jitsu movies very much, and they compare themselves to him all the time. He's basically their idol and they dream of meeting their DNA-dad. They idolize Lou even more than in canon, since they know that he's related to them from the get go.
Mike painted him on a cardboard. Now they have real life sized Lou Jitsu cardboard cutout just vibing around the house.
Draxum deems art an useless skill and a waste of time. So he and Mikey get into fights about it all the time.
Draxum may be emotionally distant, but he's much more interested in the boys' lives than Splinter ever was. Which, okay, it's good for the most part, but it shows to be problematic if his ideals don't align with the turtle's actions.
Donnie is his least favorite, only because he sees himself in the softshell too much and it makes him uncomfortable.
Mikey is his favorite, actually (because of the EXTREME potential he's hiding) but that just means he gets the most shit from Draxum, honestly.
The boys are muchhh much more rebellious and uh... morally questionable than in canon.
Remember lair games? Yeah. Remember when Leo accidentally caused Don to twist his ankle? Yeah. Let's just say, it wouldn't exactly be accidental in this AU.
Turtles have a deep dislike of humans, mostly caused by Draxum's views on them. They stick to the Undercity for the most part, unless they sneak out to NYC to cause some chaos. That's how they meet April, actually.
Yeah, they're not friends in this AU. Arch nemesis would be more accurate. Especially with Donnie. They hate each other with a burning passion.
"Stop mutating innocent citizens!!!" "Make me, hummie! (sfx: madman laugh)"
Yes turtles are personally involved in mutation of the villains from the show. I will not be elaborating.
Usagi and Gen are very important figures in this AU :DD probably as important as April and Splinter, honestly. (And i may or may not bring Jei into it as well... Still thinking about it)
I have more ideas but then this post would be insufferably long i mean its pretty long as it is

Do you have any headcanons for the ROTTMNT guys?
OMG, DO I?!? I have lots, actually!
Leo:
Gay. A fruit. CEO of the skiddle squad. Queerest of all the turtles combined
Donnie's twin and the youngest between them, only older than Mikey
Has really bad insomnia, especially after the movie and the stuff with the Kraang, because of nightmares
Took spanish classes with Señor Hueso just because he though it was cool, but now whenever he gets into an argument with someone he just starts speaking spanish and nobody can understand him
Absolute gossip king, wants to know everything about everyone and if you have any secrets whatsoever, Leo will find out about it, whether you like it or not
On the same note, he's an amazing secret keeper. If you directly ask him to not tell anyone, he won't
That doesn't aply to his own crushes, he will gush and sigh like an idiot under some love-spell, kicking up his legs with his face all red
Red-Eared Sliders actually hiss and huff whenever they get angry, and Leo does too
Dating Usagi
Donnie:
Non-Binary and Bisexual, he/him pronouns
Leo's twin and the oldest between them, only younger than Raph
Sensory seeker autistic with a special interest in technology, but knows about biology too
Also very invested in gossip, will listen to whatever stories Leo brings and add his own too. Donnie, however, could not keep a secret if his life depended on it
The one who actually met April. He was out collecting trash and scraps for his inventions and she followed him, they've been bestest of friends ever since
Pettiest turtle you will ever meet in your life. Seriously, do not piss him off, he will take revenge and you will regret it for the rest of your life
Tried drawing his eyebrows on his skin when he was a tot and had a very bad sensory ick, like, a full shut-down. So he started drawing them on his bandana instead
Sleeps cuddled with Sheldon like he's a stuffed animal
Has the voice of an angel. For real, this guy can sing like a rockstar, sometimes sings outloud as a stim and his brothers just gather around him to hype him up because Donnie is just THAT good!
Raph:
Transgender boy who loves to dress in a more femine style. Paints his nails and knows everything about makeup
Oldest of all the brothers
Has the biggest collection of stuffed animals in New York. They all have names, backstories, personalities and outfits he likes to dress them up with
Roars. Actual, loud, bellowing roars. When Raph let out his first roar as a little tot, Splinter actually thought there was a monster in the lair
Accidentally hurt their father one day while training and cried about it for weeks on end, feels terrible about it to this day
Solves all his problems with his sharp teeth, the power of his bite can crush a grown man in half like a twig
Raph actually has lost a lot of teeth because of this. Donnie had to replace a lot of them and you know he asked for a little extra sharp gold tooth that peeks out of his mouth sometimes
Loves swimming, will toss himself in the nearest body of water that looks deep enough for him, spends the most time in the bath out of all the turtles
Will stop to pet every single dog he sees walking down the streets, even if it's in the middle of a mission
Mikey:
Aroace royalty who don't need no romance!
Youngest of all the brothers
Diagnosed ADHD. Has comited arson and will do it again
His room is covered in stickers and posters from floor to roof, it's diffucult to tell where the walls or doors are
Misses Karai the most. He got so quickly attached to her, sometimes Mikey dreams that she's still there and when he wakes up and realises she's not, he tries to go back to sleep only to start crying
If you ever gift him something you made with your own hands, like a hand-written letter, card, DIY project, he will absolutely die for you no questions asked
An actual contorcionist. Will pull the most mind-blowing circus move you've ever seen in your life mid-battle like it's nothing. This boy has no bones, the most athletic of all his brothers
The first to really reach full potential of his powers and has the better control of it out of the whole family
Also, all of them can retrach into their shells, all of them! I don't know why only Mikey got to do that in the actual show!
