I just found out I have hsv 2 and I’m trying to cope.

My boyfriend got it from ex girlfriend who hadn’t told him she had it and unknowingly gave it to me. I’ve been a virgin for 18 years and I finally thought I was comfortable enough with my body and with someone to have sex. Now I feel gross and even worse than I did before.

After that we started dating and the we had sex. It was amazing. I was baffled at the fact that I hadn’t had sex before. We just kept having sex all the time, literally. Like everyday. It slowly faded and we had sex every couple of days but he got a sore on his lip a couple months back and I ignored it. Not knowing it would effect my life the way it has. I have had the symptoms for a week before I went to the hospital and then i was told I was positive for genital herpes. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. He was there with me and helped me throughout it all. I just don’t know when I’ll be comfortable in my body again.
