ETERNALS 2021
I've watched humans destroy each other when I could stop it all in a heartbeat. Do you know what that does to someone after centuries? Could our mission have been a mistake? Are we really helping these people build a better world? We're just like the soldiers down there: pawns to their leaders, blinded by loyalty.

Richard is me in every family/social gathering. My introverted ass could never handle the people.

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
Supporting Character Supplemental - Sprite
The mischievous being known as Sprite is an Eternal, a member of a powerful race of beings created by the Celestials millions of years ago. The Celestials had seeded Earth, as they had with countless other worlds, with the potential for its population to develop and evolve into greater life forms; The Eternals were placed on Earth to guide humankind and protect the populace from The Deviants.
Unlike most Eternals, Sprite is also forever young, having the body of an early adolescent. Sometimes Sprite regenerates in a male body, other times in a female body. They interacted with children’s author J.M. Barrie in the early 1900’s and was the inspiration for his character of Peter Pan. Along with the standard powers possessed by Eternals, Sprite is a master of creating lifelike illusions.
In the modern era, Sprite created great mistrust amongst the Eternals when they used their illusion powers and tinkering with the Eternal Great Machine to erase the memories of all the other Eternals. This was done in a misguided effort by Sprite to enable them to grow up and possess an adult body. The plan was thwarted and they were executed by Zarus for their misdeeds. They were resurrected and forced to live in exile in the Exclusion without memories of their past transgressions. With time, Sprite was deemed fit to rejoin Eternal society and was put under the care of their long-time friend Ikaris, who was to make sure they stayed in line.
A version of Sprite features int he Marvel Cinematic Universe portrayed by actress Lia McHugh. The puckish hero first appeared in the pages of Eternals Vol. 1 #9 (1976).
