"B/F/N can we go home now? it's been 10 minutes since he didn't come" you said to your bestfriend "no wait a bit y/n he's just late that's all" she says holding yourm as you sigh sitting back down.

Your friend invited you to a party trying to get your introverted ass out of the house, but you of course refused saying you had many things to do. So she told you Xinlong was gonna be there since she knew you were crushing on him for god knows how long, and that's when you accepted. "I swear if you lied to me I'm never talking to you again" you said sitting annoyed at the fact that you had to endure the people and the loud music around for a whole hour until she decides to leave "I can't believe you also hide my keys, like what's so wrong with staying home" you scowled "I had to get you out of your shell for once" she replied patting your back trying to calm you down "and talking about your Xinlong he's here~" she cooed as you looked up

seeing a finely dressed Xinlong "girl your drooling" she said bringing you back to reality "why don't you try talking to him uh?" she asked "you dimwit know that I can't cuz I'm scared" you replied. "anybody wanna play truth or dare follow me " Zihao said as people some people cheered and followed him "wanna join them?" she asked nudging you as you sighed.

She took your hand knowing you wouldn't say yes easily "common you need to have fun in your life for once" she replied as you both followed Zihao, and you both joined in a circle you sat Infront of Xinlong, he was talking with his friend when he made brief eye contact with you. "so here are the rules you chose truth or dare there will be 7 minutes in Heaven for some others who want to give that dare but no dirty stuff, and yes that's pretty much it any question?" zihao said as they all shook their heads saying no "well then let's start~" he said.

They all took turns and it went pretty well until it was your turn "y/n Truth or dare?" Zihao asked "Dare?" you said unsure as he smirked oh no. (oh no no no no no lol)

"I dare you to spend 7 minutes in Heaven with Xinlong" he said as people ooed "uh what if it's a no" you said freaking out "then you have to drink the out of date Tomato juice I have in my fridge I don't think it would taste great and you'll stay healthy" he replied smirking "whatever let's just go" Xinlong said getting up giving his hand which you took to stand up and you both walked away following Zihao "here enjoy~" he said and you saw him wink at Xinlong and walk away closing the door. It was silent and none you of dared to speak resulting in an akward atmosphere (you both are in a bedroom but no sussy stuff dirty minded childrens ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) "uuh what do we have to do again?" you asked him as he chuckled "you've never played that game before?" he asked as you scoffed "the reason why I didn't agree coming here" you said sulking "but why did you agree anyways?" he asked you as you bugged "uuh because...my friend locked me out of my house so I had to forcefully follow her hehe" you said as he nodded with a smile. You didn't want tell the part where you actually came because of him

"your really pretty" he blurted out making you shocked "what?" you replied as his eyes widened "uh it just came out sorry" he said scratching his neck awkwardly "thank you, your not so bad yourself" you replied "thank you" he replied , and it was silent again. Feeling confident all of the sudden you kissed him on the cheek as he looked at you surprised "what was that for?" he said a tint of red visible on his cheek "isn't it what were supposed to do?" you asked confused "nope this is how you do it" he said with a smirk pulling you for a kiss.

"I know you like me y/n" he said after the kiss, and you were more in shock "h-how" you stammered still feeling a bit dizzy from the sudden kiss "It's easy and I have lots of proof" he said "like?" you asked "Like for example at school, I see you you starring at me a lot even Zihao ge said it" he said "your friend could be wrong maybe I could be staring at something else" you said "and I see you always sitting at my gym class always watching me play while you do (a hobbie that you like)" he replied "uh no my friend is also in your gym class so I go to cheer her up" you said finding another excuse.

"Then explain the starring at me only when you come, the reason you kissed back, and right now you blushing, even with your dark skin tone it's visible, and you can't look at me in the eyes" he replied "look at me in the eyes and tell me you like me" he said as you starred at him speechless but didn't talk feeling shy more "Ilikeyou" you said embarrassed "what I could even comprehend that" he teased "I-Like-you" you replied with the last confidence you had "well...*puts his hand on chin* I don't like you sadly " he said making you feel sad.

"but I love you" he replied as you looked up surprised "you do?" you asked "wasn't it obvious? I liked you ever since you first came to school" he said chuckling "whatever it doesn't matter anyways" he said pulling you on the bed cuddling "what matters is that your mine now" he said pecking you lips. smiling happily

*an hour later*

"Oh my gosh this is so cute I knew it!!!" Zihao whispered shouted to your friend "shhhh just take a damn photo dumbass" she replied "fine fine geez" he said taking a photo and they both left the room.

You and Xinlong fell asleep cuddling each other forgetting that the 7 minutes were done.

Bowels on Berberine

Persistent diarrhoea. Abdominal pain. Fatigue. These are all the unpleasant symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The current drug treatment only has a 40% success rate, which is why clinical trials are underway to test new drugs, including the plant product berberine. Berberine has shown promising results in treating IBD. Researchers now investigate how it works in a mouse model of IBD. The large intestines of healthy and IBD mice, with or without berberine treatment, were imaged using fluorescence microscopy (pictured). This revealed that berberine reduced the activity of immune cells that promote inflammation and increased intestinal stem cell numbers (red) in healthy (top, right) and IBD mice (bottom, right) when compared with untreated mice (left). In IBD mice, this encouraged the repair of damaged intestinal tissue. Further investigation revealed that berberine works by activating a signalling pathway called Wnt, as blocking this pathway reduced its therapeutic effects.

Slaughterhouse by K.A. Lugo

Jack Slaughter Thriller #3

Jack has hit a dark point in his life, so dark that he contemplates bowing out entirely. Ray, his brother by another mother, manages to show up at just the right moment with just the right incentive to draw Jack back into the search for information that might provide closure to what really happened four years ago in the house he once lived in with his beloved wife, daughter, and pet.

What I liked:

* Jack: decorated ex-cop, savvy private investigator, sharpshooter, great friend, unable to move on from the traumatic death of his wife and daughter, probably needs some counseling as well as a focus for his future, a little bit of a loose canon at times in this story

* Ray: Jack’s best friend, policeman, onetime work partner of Jack’s, loving husband and father, foster father to Dewayne, caring, kind, there for Jack, knows Jack needs him close even if Jack doesn’t realize it

* Ray’s family – could be a support and safe happy place for Jack to visit in the future

* Haniford and Cutter: colleagues on the police force that make an appearance in this book and could show up in future books

* The setting in San Francisco and the tidbits of history about the city

* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing

* The missing persons part of the story and the bread crumbs that tantalized Jack

* The Jade Dragon tie-in

* Seeing Jack with Ray’s family one evening and feeling that there is hope for Jack

* Wondering what will be found out about the surprise Jack unearths in his back yard

* Knowing there will be a book four

What I didn’t like:

* Who and what I was meant not to like

* Thinking about the grief, pain, and loss Jack is dealing with

* Thinking about how life choices can have such a big impact on a person's life – positively or negatively

Did I enjoy this book? Yes

Would I read more in this series? Definitely

MTL to Scream in a Haunted House

I started to stan Boy Story. They're so precious😭. They now are my favs alongside Enhypen😙. I'm gonna start making mtls for them too hehe.

I just know Shuyang would be screaming the most. This boy screams although there isn't anything scary. Everytime someone screams he also screams even if he didn't see anything scary. Mingrui screams but not as often as Shuyang. He tries to be brave but fails.

Zihao may be the most scared at of all of them but he rarely screams. He just flinches and closes his eyes so that he doesn't see anything scary. Xinlong isn't that scared enough to scream. He may be scared but only laughs it off. Although he lets out some screams from time to time when he really gets scared.

Zeyu is not that scared of things like this. He even talks to the ghosts inside the haunted house. He is the bravest out of the didis (maknaes). Hanyu is the oldest and also the bravest. If you think Zeyu is already brave then you wouldn't believe how brave this boy is. He tries to bribe the ghosts into not scaring them and even takes pictures with them😭. He comforts his members and always takes the lead.
