“Alright every one! Since it’s pride month in here to give you some lgbtq history!”
If any one has any specific questions or topics I should go over feel free to comment or send in an ask! Oh and I do apologize for my radio silence before, there has been some… chaos in the parable so to speak.”
“Alright now “pride” all started with a riot and a brick. I know sounds crazy doesn’t it? Let’s go back, America, June 28th 1969, in the bustling city of Manhattan new York. We start our story at a local pub and inn called “the stonewall” it was a popular and common place for lgbtq people to congregate. A place they felt safe away from the blistering hate that was the outside world
“It was a world Where cops would over use there power and often strike a man down just for the implication he was gay, just for existing proudly. where people would be lynched and there bodies hidden or deaths covered up by local police if questioned…. Sadly this still happens today but not as much as it used to…any ways moving on!”
“This was there “home” that is until police raided the bar and tried to force there brute ways and jail those inside. But the stonewall patrons as a community joined forces and stood there ground fighting back. It was said that Marsha p. Johnson, a trans woman/drag queen was the first person to throw a brick at an officer in defense but in all honesty it’s still uncertain who threw the first brick on account that there was chaos and no video cameras at the time for surveillance.”
“With this the “gay liberation movement” started, protests for our rights began and new ways of thinking and acceptance came about.”
“Of course there where many bumps in the road along the way and more history to be shared but here’s your tidbit of knowledge for the day.”
Happy pride month

Giving queer characters happy ending is important. I will never accept that this queer character can't be happy because of this and that NO. QUEER PEOPLE DESERVE TO HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS. QUEER PEOPLE DESERVE TO SEE HAPPY QUEER CHARACTERS IN MEDIA. IN THIS ESSAY I WILL-
#queercharactersdeservemore #queerdeserveshappyendings
queer people don't want sad queer characters that have a potential to add so much to the story but writers made them sad, desperate because of the "plot" queer people are not plots, they are real people wanting to have their own happy endings. They deserve to see it in the media.

People are like "Oh what's your gender?" My dear friend, I am an abomination. There are no words to describe my mortal form, no boundaries that can contain me, no words to describe my godlike being. I am chaos itself. Also I will eat your face if you ask me this again.

this is your friendly reminder that asexuality and aromanticism are spectrums and 110% VALID!
if you have questions about someone who identifies as such or you're confused, communicate! communication is always important.
"I would never date someone like that if they don't cuddle, kiss, etc..." EDUCATE YOURSELF. everyone is different and assuming a very broad spectrum is one same thing is extremely hurtful!
you're valid. your identity is valid. your sexuality is valid. always has been, always will be <33

"Culture says that men and women are different and should behave and dress differently"
Oh you mean your white euro-american culture that *gasp* not universal? Yeah no, my culture doesn't say that so I can do whatever the fuck I want. You can take your culture and shove it up your ass if you think that everyone should follow what your culture says. It's not universal and you aren't superior than any of us, so you are free to escort your racist transphobic asses out the door

Tw: assault + sexual assault + terfs
Funny how terfs always claim trans people as predators.
Never have I been assaulted or sexually assulted by a trans person..
BUT
I've been
Harassed
Victim blamed
Threatened
Assault
Sexually assaulted
Repeatedly by terfs
Not only that but when I talk about how terfs have treated me mostly in the I've been repeatedly sexually assaulted, terfs LOVE saying I deserved it and say stuff like
" you should be happy a woman even touched you "
I see other trans people and trans activists sharing their stories of dealing with terfs and its just a repeating pattern of terfs harassing and assaulting people..
Tumblr media
{ Not even 2 mins after posting this I'm getting gaslighting, condescending, victim blaming comments... Terfs do not interact with my post, just go away. }

I made an alternative aroace flag bc I think the yellow and blue one is ugly :) (edit: the other looked a little too similar to another flag so I made this one.)
Tumblr media
As an aroace person unhappy with the aroace flag i wanted to make one I liked! :) the teal on it is a mix of the green from the aro flag and the blue from the original aroace flag! The purple is also a mix from the original aroace flag and the ace flag! I kept the same format of the original on this one. I know there isn’t much history or meaning behind it but I just wanted a flag I was happy with and this one is perfect in my opinion! Feel free to use it as your flag!

“Greetings my dear readers! We are continuing the “happy pride month” posts with some help of my friend @the-artist-from-hell , also known as “juni!” They will be taking over the explanation from now on but still posting the pride facts and history here because this is there more prominent blog- I mean MY blog… yes-
“Any ways moving on! Take it away juniper!”
‘Alright then! Thanks shrimp!
Today we are learning about the “L” in LGBTQ! the L Of course stands for lesbian! Did you know that the label “lesbian(s)” is derived from the Greek island of “Lesbos”?
“What does some Greek island have to do with lesbians?” you may ask- well Because it’s well known for a famous past resident from 600 B.C named “Sappho” ((that’s also where we get the idea of the word “sapphic” when describing romance between feminine people)) she was known for being a great female poet who was openly attracted to woman… her writing was very erotic, and may I add this wasn’t common to see at that time- especially in writing from a woman.
Sappho lived in a time when women were not thought to be intellectuals nor sexual beings—especially without the participation of a man. How two women could be erotically connected was baffling to those at the time. Yet, despite this controversy Sappho was respected as a writer.
So now you know! And remember have fun this pride! Stay safe! And maybe read some lgbtq inspired poetry in memory of the great Sappho!

This piece has been marked down so much so that I will receive no pay for it, and that is how I intend it to be. It was solely created for the purpose of protest, not profit. If you are able to, please purchase it off of Redbubble(I tried to make it free but they wouldn't let me) and use it in protests or make sure people see it in your daily life. Please help us before we're illegal in America again.

I wish to live in a world, were we don’t have to “come out of the closet”. I wish was could just come home one day with whoever we liked no matter the gender. I wish they would just treat two LGBTQ people getting together like two straight people getting together. I wish people of the LGBTQ community could go places without feeling judged, hurt, or even so hurt the the point they feel like it would be better to not live at all. We are all important, you are important, and together we can make people feet more important. To do this we can…
1. Go to LGBTQ events
2. Be a supporter of the LGBTQ community
3. Don’t be afraid to make your voice heard
4. Repost (if you want)
Thank you if you read this and remember, You are you, don’t let anyone kill the joy in the world, and be HAPPY!!🌈🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
