trans men and transmasculine people should not have to be misgendered in order to be in certain safe spaces for themselves. as a very feminine gay trans man i do not feel "safe" in cis men spaces, even cis gay men spaces. but when i try to go to spaces that are safer for me they are labeled as "women only" or "women and nonbinary people" (which that is another issue in itself). in the past i've been in so many spaces that were very "no men" i was often told that i was "different" and that its okay because i'm a trans man. it simply makes me feel like i am not seen as a real man.

transgender men and transmasculine people are often in this sort of limbo when it comes to community. this is simply one example.

as a transgender man i feel like i do not belong anywhere and that i am in the middle and its very isolating.

It still needs approval from the Senate and royal endorsement to become law, but experts are saying that by the end of 2024 Thailand will officially become the first South East Asian country to recognize 'same-sex unions.'

400 of the 415 lawmakers present approved this bill, and will give couples equals rights for marital tax savings, inheriting property to giving medical consent for partners during treatments if someone is unconscious/etc.

This is a historic moment and I'm sure many couples will be registering their marriages soon. This is wonderful news 🇹🇭🌈

What’s even going on right now.. Twitter, Snapchat, and Microsoft announced their support for KOSA. I don’t think yall are actually conceptualizing how BAD this bill is. If this bill is put in motion, this would mean that every single user of the internet would be required to upload a photo of their ID’s, yes, your ID. This would also mean that our state attorney generals would have the choice to decide which content is “inappropriate”. Now, this is harmful to three things. The first being sex workers because some people literally have to rely on that to pay bills, buy food and clothes, etc.

The second one being that you may not be access to information about major world issues. We all know that anything that is Pro-Palestinian is labeled as “anti-semitic”, and they will probably take this information down aswell. This could also (probably) apply for issues in the DRC, Sudan, Tigray, etc. All around, this is harmful to every group of people on the internet.

The third thing, as I’ve stated previously, this is harmful to LGBTQIA+ youth. If you want a more in depth explanation, then you can check my linked post on it. But basically, this bill would prevent them from learning more about their identities.

A video posted on tiktok (click here!) can give you, pretty much the same information. There are also ways to stop the bill from passing within the video aswell. Please look into reaching out to your representatives to stop this bill from passing.

I've noticed a trend in ace related posts where everything needs to be an educational post about every possible experience but I think what we need to realize is people are posting from their individual experiences and thus won't likely fall under every category

I think we have a very hard time finding representation so we try to make any representation a catch all but that isn't always the answer and feels like punishing people for their experiences not checking every micro label box.

This isn't the most coherent post but I just wanted to possibly start this discussion

Like replying to a sex repulsed alloromantic ace's post about their own experience with "well actually some aces do have sex" or "some aces are aro too" doesn't accomplish anything but put down a person for their experience not being all encompassing. Rather than that maybe focus on creating posts or pushing for representation in media of the different experiences.
