Kindness will not dismantle white supremacy. There is no getting around the demanding and delivering of justice that will ensure the liberation of our communities. What happened in Colorado is yet another horrific reminder of how the ongoing slaughter, displacement, and violence on Queer / Trans communities directly resulted from white supremacy attempting to eradicate us for our existence. My heart is so heavy right now after reading the horrific news. I couldn’t stop thinking that the very few limited safe spaces within a heteronormative society are constantly under attack by right-wing conservative groups. These hateful ideologies are spread by misinformation and other tactics used to invalidate our existence. It’s not enough to say you are an ally for our communities. It’s the bare minimum to not be silent on acts of homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia. As someone has experienced gun violence, it changes the way you navigate the world, the way you speak to people, and the constant threat of having to turn around in case someone walks behind you with an armed gun. Our existence is more than enough in the fight for Queer and Trans liberation where we are constantly being attacked, criticized, or even met with death because of the way we live. Say it for what it is and that dismantling white supremacy is environmentalism. I want it all gone, not just for me but for all those who are constantly under the threat of being met with violence for their identities. My Queerness is a heritage that cannot be taken away and I will not lose hope in this battle against white supremacy.

Today is May 5th, the national day of remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, children, Trans, and Two-Spirited people. Here are some statistics and facts that more people should be aware of along with resources as I go.
• On average, the 1st sexual assault on an Indigenous child happens at 13 years old.
• More than 4 out of 5 American Indian and Alaskan Native Women have experienced violence in their lifetime.
•Indigenous People are murdered at a rate 10x the National Average.
• Most violent crimes perpetrated on Native People are committed by non Native People.
• The 2nd Leading cause of death for American Indian and Alaskan Native girls aged 1-4 is homicide.
• Recently A Statistics Canada analysis found 81 per cent of Indigenous women who had been in the child-welfare system had been physically or sexually assaulted in their life.
• Homicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among Native Girls and Women aged 10-24 and jumps to 5th from 25-34
• There were 506 cases of MMIWG in 71 urban cities across the U.S., In New Mexico alone, there is the highest incidents of MMIW sitting at 78 cases. Keep in mind that cases involving LGBTQ2S+ have been undercounted.

Here is an update of the bodies of Indigenous children found on Residential School properties.
As of March 2022, 10,028 unmarked graves have been found at former residential schools across Canada.
Under the Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, The US is reported to begin searching residential schools, through the Federal Indian Boarding School Initiativebut it’s not currently clear when this will start.
There is so much overwhelming information, but there does seem to be some hope, 16 states including Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Kansas have taken legislative action to address MMIWR, and hopefully along with the search of residential schools, we can start bringing all of our relatives home.

It’s an absolute INSULT that Disney tried to keep this story from seeing the light of day! The animation is top notch! The voice cast is phenomenal! The direction is S tier!
This movie made me angry because it is going to take Trans People dying, Black People dying, Indigenous People dying, whole groups of people dying for you all to learn your lessons and it will be nothing but your fault!
Companies don’t care about fixing the world. Just telling us that they will fix enough to get paid or re-elected.

The self projection and mental gymnastics around the right's bias and hate has always been mind blowing. Hatred is not a personality trait, and yet.

Me, age 14, watching naked women onscreen in Game of Thrones: hm I feel weird seeing all this nudity. Guess I’m just a prude.
Me, age 24 and a lesbian: actually there may have been another reason for that

I've been ID'ing as aroace for about three years now and already I can raddle off dozens of aphobic things people have told me directly or that I have seen elsewhere as soon as someone asks. I'm not old enough to have even experienced the Disk Horse yet I have enough examples of word-for-word quotes to fill a paragraph, and I could write five more on how society erases and discriminates against us. People say that we're not discriminated against, so we're not queer - but it's been so little time and I've already gone through enough shit to give them an essay. And people have been writing for years. They just won't listen.

Rekai Centres, which describes itself as a non-profit charitable corporation, opened its doors more than 70 years ago and now operates two long-term care homes in downtown Toronto: the Rekai Centre at Sherbourne Place, home to 88 residents, and the Rekai Centre at Wellesley Central Place, home to 150 residents.
Currently, the Wellesley facility has 15 members who identify as part of the LGBTQ2 community, with more than 20 per cent of residents who identify as LGBTQ2 at both downtown long-term care homes.

Queer love is magical. It teaches you that love can exist in so many forms outside the heteronormative narratives that are taught to us when we are young. If people only saw it for its power than hatred, we would be so much further advanced in understanding concepts of love.
The rise of Anti-Trans rhetoric and Anti-Queer rhetoric is another rejection of love that is not bound to heteronormative values. The truth is that when my Queer / Trans BIPOC friends are constantly being harmed, shamed, and threatened to be removed from the planet that's another example of how white supremacy wants to uproot us. It's forgotten that the fossils below the ground have always stored Queer ecological memories. People oppose our existence. The way we rise from the depths of the soil is through nurturing our networks for survival. If only people saw queer love as a way to embrace multifaceted values of kinship, care, and understanding.
If we saw queer love that way, our "leaders" wouldn’t be focusing on trying to ban drag shows. Many of those who decide to choose violence want us to be removed from life itself. We decide to spread love despite the hatred we get - we choose the rawest form of love which is to hope they continue to find the pain that hurts them and heal unresolved trauma that's redirected to the entirely wrong group of people.
Queerness is an embodiment of living in co existence with others. If you don’t like that, then you are the issue.

I find that the better you get at writing the more likely you are to confuse people. Unintentionally of course but often times you’ll use words or sentence structures that can negatively affect the flow of your work. It’s a great reason to have an editor or someone to read it so they can point out what you won’t notice. I’ve used big words without realizing how little people see that word regularly used. I’ve also seen this in many books I’ve read. Since I don’t have many people read my works I’ve found a good tool is Hemingway Editor. It’s a website that’s free and it’s a great tool for any type of writer. It highlights poor wording, run on sentences, and lots of other generally helpful edits. It tells you the “Read Time” for your work, the amount of words and characters used, the amount of sentences, and the amount of paragraphs. These are all super helpful for both writing stories and school papers. The main thing I use it for though is it looks at the work as a whole and tells you the reading level of your paper. This is insanely useful because I find that keeping it at 5th grade or less is best. It doesn’t lower the quality of your work at all but even for my Mature stories, having it at a lower level makes it much easier to comprehend and makes the stories flow a lot easier than before. There are plenty of times that I can’t get it to that level without damaging my story, which is fine, but it is still great at helping me recognize how overly complex a sentence is. It often offers replacement terms for issues it finds as well which is nice. I’m sure that their are tons of other tools available which I always watch for but this is my favorite and has been my most used tool for years so I wanted to share it.
Edit: I also think this is great for making your work easier to read for non-native English speakers which is always something to be aware of. Tumblr has people from all over just like the rest of the world and theirs no harm in making it a little easier for them to be apart of a fandom.
