Inspired by this incredible edit on tiktok
I was interested in trying something a bit more experimental today. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out although I hope to improve in the future. For fun here's both of them together.

Would anyone like to be penpals?
I’d honestly love to write letters to someone, share recipe cards, trade books and send over little trinkets in wax sealed envelopes.

Moodboard for Lakshman Kumara, Duryodhan’s son.
“Ajaya: The Roll of Dice” describes as soft, somewhat naive, creative and delicate. I personally headcannon him as a loving artist and a dreamy poet

Slow Living
Hello, I wanted to pop in here during the fastest, hustliest, most uncomfortable part of my year (especially right during Mabon, thanks school). Basically, I'm in my last year of school and I'm doing my first set of exams for that year rn.
And nothing about this, I can tell you, is slow and calm and pretty. I can't bring myself to sew something fun, I can barely pick up the knitting needles. I can not get my butt out of bed to prep my garden for some planting stuff next year. I can't write a chapter of my book. I haven't been able to do a ritual or pray. I can't even put on a good movie and concentrate on it.
And I wanted to say, yes, even as people who adore slow living and maybe traditional living and farmcore and cottagecore and what have you, sometimes life gets fast and hard and that's fine.
Slow living, as a concept, is very different for everyone depending on societal situation, culture, personal beliefs, age, geographical location, and stuff like that. But a lot of people experience a point at least once where the slow living is ripped from our hands and even lighting a scented candle becomes a huge strain.
It'll get better. And it isn't you fault. you aren't "succumbing to hustle culture" or showing "internalized classicism" or some stuff. You are struggling and that's fine. Slow living, for me at least, means being content with simplicity. And sometimes that requires me to pull an all nighter and cry in the shower. And it'll go over and I'll be writing letters in yellow ink with dried flowers again.
So yeah. I suppose this is for me to tell myself this is okay. And it is for you to know that our lives are not interest and that's fine and you deserve things to get better and I am confident that they will.
