No matter how many bashing fics I read (and I really do enjoy those sgshsn), these three will always be among my favorite friendships in fiction. Also wanted to include good ol Snape bc I can and I adore him.

I see their dynamic as very sibling-coded, very platonic soulmate type even. They're literally each other's ride or dies and I'm not kidding when I say that I wish I had that for myself :(

had a real aes sedai moment recently

at a bar with a friend and a professional connection who offered to let us drink on his tab

he said something that I was offended by and my face immediately showed it and he clocked it and said, “Oh no I’ve offended you” (genuinely, to his credit)

and knowing the above about him being a generous professional connect I opened my mouth to find a way to smooth it over but I couldn’t get any words out- literally I could feel my throat working and my mouth moving but no assuring sounds could spring forth, and finally I just let myself admit, “Yeah, you did”

really felt like the first oath got me there, highly effective

Pov: You caught me re reading the dossiers for the nth time

crafting an aftermath + alaska narrative for jesse that doesn't include some thread of chronic pain or longterm symptoms just feels disingenuous. even divorced from his six months of captivity and torture, he was beaten and addicted and cooked meth in various unsafe environments. he had multiple injuries that probably didn't see sufficient care or follow-up. and, of course, he was tortured. its not hard to imagine joint pain and extremity numbness and fatigue. double vision, migraines, chronic coughs. he probably doesn't even have a decent sense of smell anymore from constantly inhaling fumes. the mental scars will always be there and so will the physical ones.

I think.. at least in my mind, Aaron knew that Josef was there behind him. like I dont think Josef was trying to be quiet. in fact maybe he wanted aaron to turn around n see him. but aaron doesnt. and people say hes stupid for that but I think this whole scene is set up so well. because for the entire movie, josef is scaring him, even before his lies are revealed. hes jumping out at him constantly. always giving him these little scares. and maybe that's what he expects here at the end. he believes that maybe this guy just needs a little help, maybe he really does just need a friend. what's another little scare between friends ? this time, at least, he can prepare himself for it.
