Ok ok ok your "Humans of Transformers franchise are space orcs" rant is out of this world.
I detest with passion when humans are reduced to pets and plot devices when instead the story could be about two alien species finding one another equally amazing/terrifying for their own respective reasons.
Here is my question: do humans and Cybertronians see how eerily similar they are? They have love of music, familial relationships, similar urban infrastructure, societal structure, financial systems, competitive entertainment, organized societies and war, colonialism, recreational intercourse, marriage...
Not to mention, why was it never addressed how similar both species look: bipedal, waists, noses, cheekbones, 5 fingers, chins, facial expressions and sense of aesthetics and beauty? Sure, humans have hair but in rather strategic places.
Veins and wires, blood and energon, metal and flesh, nanobytes and blood cells, Sparks and brain impulses, sexual organs...
Imagine Autobots arrive on Earth for the first time expecting some primitive cave-dwellers, only to encounter a less advanced mini-version of Cybertronian cities (New York, Singapore, London, Rome, Tokyo, Rio, Dubai...) and societies running on scientific, artistic and philosophical development which has no right existing on the ruthless, all-organic planet such as Earth is. Societes run by creatures who 4.000.000 (the duration of their war) years ago were hanging from the trees btw.
Autobots would be terrified.
Lemme make sure this response saves this time, cause it took me a minute to answer cause my first deleted and I had so much written I got unbelievably angry and refused to even look at the tumblr app.
But here we are.
So, this is EXACTLY what I have been thinking about for who k owe how long. It’s also the intro to this wack as fuck universe idea I’ve had in my head a while, and have kinda hinted at in my other works, but I’ve never gone into detail about.
And I still won’t.
Anyways, yes. It’s crazy that we backlit humans so much when any other sentient species is about. Transformers, TMNT, etc (I’m on a one track mind, feel free to jot down any other fandoms I can’t think of). The main theme of these stories? HUMANS SUCK. And that is severely unfair. People want to cry about how much our generation doesn’t give a shit anymore. Have you SEEN the media we feed kids???
That’s why I live Humans are Space Orcs so much. It really puts into perspective how unique and batshit our species is.
So, onto the Transformers vs humans concepts. The ONLY reason (forgoing technoism and general hate towards organics) cybertronians don’t see humanity as an imminent threat, or one in general, is because of size. WE BE SMALL AF. Can’t blame them, I get it. We do the same. Insects? Fuck them mfs.
But have you seen a botfly or tick burrow into your skin? The infection that comes form that? Have you seen ants jump a small animal as a colony and absolutely shred it? Or a spider only biting you, and the horror the venom causes (recluses and huntsman’s specifically). We have a good fucking reason for disliking these mfs.
But transformers? These are organic experiences. Worst they go through are rust infections, spark death, the works. They are not at risk the same way we are. That is why they view organics as small and inconsequential. They have no idea how hard we fight to simply stay alive.
And now the similarities. It’s understandable that they wouldn’t immediately recognize the physical, cultural, and psychological similarities between our species. Transformers are an incredibly diverse race, like any other. But specifically in physical form. Your average cybertronian holds a similar appearance to your average human. We tend to have the same features, just with different names. Eyes, noses, faceplates, ears, two arms, two legs. Sure that’s average for them too. But they are unique because of the fact that they have two forms. Vehicle mode. Their mode decides what they’re second mode looks like, which can create extreme diversity is appearance. Small, large, many limbed or not.
So the immediate similarities probably wouldn’t jump out to them in an odd way. There’s also the idea that because they’re so spread out in the universe, they’ve seen other organic races that are also similar. Pairs of every body part could be the common denominator among species.
That goes culturally too. War, love, music, government, politics, it’s all a natural form of sentient evolution. Another common denominator. It’s how it’s done that makes it unique. And the similarities between human and cybertronian culture is uncomfortably familiar.
I think that’s why cybertronians are seen being closest with humans rather than other species in the shows and comics (obviously because the audience is human and they need relation to characters but shhhh forget that for a sec). This is where the theories start.
Let’s say cybertronians begin to recognize the weird similarities between our species. The really, really weird stuff. The itty bitty details. Like:
- how we also mainstream kissing on the lips as the top tier romantic gesture.
- use verbal tone and cues for our language.
- have intensely complicated interpersonal relationships in the exact same manner.
- suffer from extreme mental health issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD (I totally headcannon that forms of adhd, autism, and ocd exist in cybertronian society, have y’all not seen my boy rodimus prime??)
- will also destroy each other in the name of our gods, until we have a common enemy.
That’s just the basics I could come up with. The only time I actually saw a moment where a transformer genuinely take a moment to realize that humans can be a threat, was in transformers prime. Episode 6 of beast wars (I think, correct me if wrong), where Miko beats the ever loving fuck out of an insecticon (I think) and upon Megatron hearing this, just goes blank Kubrick stare for a hot second. Man had an ugly realization that did not fit in with anything he had experienced his whole life.
AND THEY NEVER FUCKING ADDRESSED IT EVER AGAIN. Sick of this shit. Could’ve had the most badass character development, where the humans actually proved useful and did something (it would have fit Milo’s character so perfectly too) and scared the utter shit out of the transformers. BUT NO. They continue to be annoying as fuck.
One thing I loved about TF Prime was that it canonically turned Unicron into Earth. And humans came from the earth. Which relates humans beings and cybertronians so hard. Cousins Fr. We are the cybertronian equivalent of organics, and transformers the inorganic equivalent of humans. The individuality, the chaos, the culture, it clicks. There is so much material to really go into it.
But they never do. Don’t get me wrong, I love Transformers lord and just discovering more without humans being involved. We’re just annoying af at this point. But there is so much u tapped potential in transformers actually taking the chance to LEARN about us. But we’re just friends (pets) to these mfs.
That’s why I love TF Earthspark so far. Transformers ingrained into human culture because they’re not from Cybertron, and cybertronians having to adapt to human culture because they have no where else to go. Granted, it’s a kids show. There’s only so much they can do. But I’m excited for where it’ll lead. It really shows how much of threat and ally humans are, and how we are just as diverse as cybertronians.
I need to write another fic about cybertronians meeting humans their size from our world tho. Need to continue my old piece. Would give me so much life. Y’all help motivate me, college draining my ass.

Would you be willing to write something about how sevika cares for drunk reader? Maybe they went for a night out at the brothel and sevika decides it’s time to leave when she notices r is rlly intoxicated???
I think she would definitely be so attentive and take off readers heels for her, and help her undress and into comfy clothes because she’s such a sweetheart 😭
she's SUCH a sweetheart anon ur so so so right.
men and minors dni
sevika had been chatting with some friends for the past thirty minutes, occasionally glancing to you at the other end of the bar where you were catching up with one of your old coworkers.
she was getting tired. it was getting late. across the bar, she could see you propping your head up on your hand, a sleepy look in your eye. she chuckles. yeah, it's time to head home.
as she approaches you, she quickly realizes that you're drunk.
not just drunk. you're plastered. four sheets to the wind.
your old coworker was one of your best friends at one of the worst jobs you've ever worked at. the two of you were reminiscing on funny stories and old drama, downing shot after shot to honor the old days.
when you catch sight of your wife, a goofy grin takes over your features.
"sevikaaaaaaa!" you exclaim, stumbling out of your barstool and into her arms, peppering kisses across her face. she chuckles as she wraps an arm around your waist to stabilize you.
"hi honey." she says, amused. you grin, leaning in to whisper in her ear.
"'y look 's fuckin' hot ri' now sev. wanna get outta here?" you slur. she laughs and kisses your forehead.
"sure. lemme take you home." she says, playing into your game, knowing how stubborn you get when you drink. you squeal in excitement and drag her out of the bar, practically running down the street with sevika's wrist in your grasp. she's giggling behind you the entire time, catching you when you stumble, and pressing kisses to your head when she's close enough to reach you.
halfway home, you get tired. you stop dead in your tracks and turn around with a pout. sevika grins down at you, already knowing what you're gonna ask for. you're a predictable drunk.
"my feet hurt. gimmie'a piggyback?" you ask, pouting at your wife. she chuckles and shoots forward to kiss you, before turning around and crouching so you can crawl up her back.
"fuckin' watch it!" she chuckles as you scramble onto her back. you kiss her temple when you're settled and she smiles.
"love you." you say as sevika rises and begins walking you home. she hums.
"love you too, honey."
when you guys get home, you try to press sevika to the wall for a makeout session. she quickly redirects you to the kitchen-- the promise of one of her 'homemade quesadillas' (literally just shredded cheese toasted between two tortillas) inciting you enough to let her go.
she gets you fed, then gives you a glass of water. you pout.
"not thirsty." you say. sevika rolls her eyes.
"drink this glass and i'll let you play with my tits." she bribes. (as if you can't play with her tits whenever you want.) it works. you down the glass in three seconds flat. sevika giggles at your eagaer eyes, then squeals as your salsa and sourcream covered hands reach out to grope at her clothed chest.
"wait!" she giggles as she runs to the bedroom, you trailing behind her. "we gotta get naked first." she says to you. you grin as you try to rip your dress off, pouting when it doesn't budge. sevika chuckles and takes pity on you, kissing your pout away and then unzipping your dress, helping you out of it.
she helps you out of your bra then shoves you onto the bed. you giggle, and she kisses you, unable to stop herself when you look so cute.
"aren't you gonna get naked?" you ask. sevika chuckles and nods.
"get under the covers babe, i'll be there in a minute." she says from the closet where she's hanging up your dress.
when she comes back to the bedroom, she grins.
you're asleep, snoring on top of the covers, just like she knew you would be.
sevika's quiet as she gently places a few painkillers and a full glass of water on your bedside table, she's gentle as she presses a kiss to your forehead.
she takes her time to change into her pajamas and feed herself, and when she finally crawls in bed beside you, you grumble in your sleep.
"sev?" you ask.
"go to sleep, baby. i'm right here." she whispers, pulling you against her. you grin, pressing a tipsy, half asleep kiss against her lips, before falling asleep on her tits.
sevika grins at the ceiling.
she loves you so fuckin' much.

Tumblr media
Maybe this was a bad idea?
But bad ideas, always led to good ideas didn't they?
Something about the negative attracting the positive.
Or something of the sort.
It was too early to actually think straight.
Placing the small note she had quickly written to ensure Iroh and Zuko that she had simply gone to the Outer Ring for a little bending practice, Orora was quick to exit the apartment and make her way down the stairs and out of the building.
Glancing behind her, and seeing no candle suddenly burning, the young waterbender heaved a sigh of relief, before leaning back against the wall she had taken refuge behind.
Straightening the strap of her satchel, her lips pulled in a secret smile before she began to walk down the road.
"Little early for you to be going for a morning stroll, isn't it?"
A shriek the surely even the Spirits would've heard echoed in the early morning air.
Her heart threatened to burst out of her chest, as she whirled around to stare wide eyed at the smug looking banished prince leaning against a support beam of a building.
"Monkey-feathers Zuko! Are you trying to scare me to death?" Pressing a hand on her chest, as if physically willing herself to calm down, her gaze shifted from sudden fight to fury and annoyance. "And it is none of your business where I go. A girl is allowed her secrets." She stated in a rather haughty tone, prompting Zuko to raise an eyebrow at her. A smirk pulled at his lips, that infuriating smirk when he knew he had a comeback she had no answer to.
"What girl?"
Her nostrils flared, and an offended look overcame her features. "Humph." That was the best response she could come up with. Adding to that response, was a pivot on the heel and attempting to walk away in a huff.
Of course that didn't happen when Zuko reached out to grasp her by the elbow.
The sudden contact had her stopping dead in her tracks. Her head shifted to look over her shoulder where she could feel his warm hand against the bare skin of her elbow. Zuko seemed to be following the exact thought, since his eyes dropped to his hand as well.
Twin blushes stole across their cheeks, as Zuko slowly, almost as if he were reluctant to do so, let go of her elbow. She brushed her hair behind her ear, a habit she had picked up out of nervousness since her hair had grown long enough, he had noticed. "You know you're not supposed to wander around the city on your own." He reminded her, crossing his arms over his chest as he did.
Orora closed her eyes, letting out a sigh as she stared longingly at the Outer Wall that was just visible beyond the line of houses. "I know, but I didn't want to bother you, or Master. I just wanted to find an open space, and just waterbend." She admitted. "I heard about this lake, but its off-limits to the public, but if I could even find a small pond....." She trailed off, shoulders drooping in defeat.
"But you're right. I shouldn't have tried to go off on my own." Gripping the strap she let out a disappointed sigh. "We should head back. Your Uncle will worry if he sees us both gone."
She'd barely taken a step or two back towards the apartment building when she heard Zuko sigh.
"Wait." He called out, prompting Orora to come to a halt. She turned around to look at him, her gaze questioning. "I'll go with you." The firebender sighed out. Surprise flitted across her features, before a bright smile pulled at her lips.
"Really?" He barely had time to nod before she tackled him into a brief yet fierce hug. "Oh thank you Zuko! I promise I'll buy you a whole bag of moon peaches on our way back!" She vowed, smiling at him. Zuko blinked, still a little taken aback by the sudden embrace. At least he recovered physically, his head jerking forward in a nod.
His voice, however, was having a little trouble finding itself, while his mind was focused on the fact that Orora had hugged him. Granted it wasn't the first time, but he was starting to find that no matter how brief a touch he shared with Orora, it always meant so much to him.
Especially since that night just a day ago.
When he had kissed her, and she had kissed him back.
A hand gripping his brought him back from reliving that sweet memory. Rather then focus on the Orora in his mind, he instead turned his attention to Orora as she stood next to him, smiling at him in gratitude as she took his hand, and began to lead him towards the Outer Wall.
For once, he followed someone else. He allowed someone else to lead him.
Someone he trusted other than his Uncle.
                                          ————————–
The previous day had been interesting to say the least.
After the kiss, both teenagers had felt a little shy around one another. It wasn't everyday that someone went ahead and kissed their soulmate.
It was a life-changing moment.
Just one step away from formally acknowledging and accepting that the other person was your soulmate.
They were two very different things.
Both of them had laid under the stars together for another good hour. Though this time, neither of them met the other's gaze. Nor did they touch.
Or rather.
Not completely.
Their hands had been right next to one another, and Orora had found her small finger wrapping itself around his finger. Her hold had been gentle, but when he looped his own finger around her own, she had felt herself smile.
Alright so maybe her and Zuko were not going to be open about whatever had happened, but at least it had happened. That was a start.
A kiss.
Her first proper kiss.
As she recalled the moment, Orora could feel a smile forming on her lips. She quickly suppressed it by biting down on her lower lip.
But then he stood up and left without a word. Orora had been a little confused at first, but thought that maybe he was just as shy as she felt.
The next day had been as mundane as any other.
With an added perk.
Iroh had been at the front of the tea shop while she and Zuko had been washing dishes in the back. Standing beside one another, he washed, while she quickly dried using her waterbending. The both of them worked in silence, the clink of the cups and plates they were washing the only sound.
But that wasn't to say they weren't speaking.
Or rather, they weren't speaking verbally.
Every now and then, their gazes would meet, and something would pass between the both of them.
Every now and then their skin would graze when passing the cup or plate, and both would actually feel their senses come alive with that brief touch.
Every now and then a smile would pass between them, one that was equal parts shy, uncertain and almost, dare she say, hopeful.
Finally, finally, Orora had cleared her throat. "You know, back at the North Pole, there's a little game we play. Well I've heard of people playing it, I've never played it myself."
A little surprised at hearing her say something after such a long length of silence, he turned to look at her. She kept her eyes on the spoon he had just handed to her.
"That when two............soulmates find each other," Spirits, his cheeks felt like they were on fire. "A little competition starts, to see how they would be able to catch one another off guard." She explained, remembering how one of her maids had actually spoken to her about it.
Fiddling with the spoon she gripped in her fingers, the young waterbender girl lifted her head to look at him. "It allows them to get to know each other better and build some strange sense of trust."
Zuko blinked, finally realizing that her ice blue eyes were close.
Much too close.
"I know we're not at the North Pole, but........." She trailed off, her gaze open, earnest and pleading. And really, in what world could he ever say no to her.
His nod of confirmation was enough to have her smiling.
Though the mischievousness that danced in her eyes had him very nearly stepping back and going back on his word.
"Well since you caught me off guard on the roof top." Orora commented, gathering whatever strength and bravery she needed to continue.
"I suppose its my turn."
So saying, she raised herself up on her toes, given that she was a few inches shorter then him, and pressed a series of kisses, two on his cheeks, on either side, and one on his lips.
The moment she was done, Orora turned around and all but ran out to the front of the shop, leaving Zuko to stand their dumbfounded and unable to ascertain what had just happened.
Though once he did recover there was no denying that the smile that formed on his lips, and the happiness that he felt, was something he had not experienced in a long long time.
                                          ————————–
Starting the contest seemed to have broken the ice. Both teenagers went back to acting like their normal selves with one another. With a few added aspects.
For one, throughout the entire day, they would both do random little acts for one another. It wasn't to say that they didn't do anything for each other before, but now that it was a contest to see who would do more, they both decided to step up their game.
                                          ————————–
He'd caught her trying to pick up a huge stack of plates and cups. And though he'd been on break, Zuko had been quick to reach out and take most of the cutlery. She'd blinked at him, a little surprised knowing he was rather particular about his break.
Glancing over his shoulder and seeing no one there, Zuko had taken that moment to quickly peck her on the forehead, before walking away with the stack of plates.
Orora had been a little uncertain about whether Zuko would accept to play her game or not, but with that little gesture, she had her answer.
                                          ————————–
She stepped back a little from walking beside Iroh on the way back home and grasped his hand. A little daring considering Iroh could turn back and catch them at any moment, but that didn't stop him from squeezing her hand back.
                                          ————————–
Orora had been busy preparing dinner when Zuko had stepped up next to her. She had glanced at him, curious when he nodded towards the vegetables that still needed chopping. Her eyes widened in surprise.
He hated chopping vegetables.
Zuko simply rolled his eyes at her astonishment and began to peel and cut, leaving Orora smiling happily while Iroh stared at his nephew a little dumbfounded.
He wasn't as comfortable as Orora was when it came to phsyical acts of affection. Orora craved them, having gotten next to none growing up. It would seem her tactic of catching Zuko off guard was using little gestures of affection. While his battle plan for surprising her was helping her wherever she needed it.
                                          ————————–
Iroh had gone to bed a little early that night, so that left the two teenagers to do whatever they wanted. And what Zuko wanted, was to reach out and take Orora's hand before leading her up to the rooftop once more.
Which he did.
They spent hours up there, lying next to one another once more, just talking.
And for once it was Orora who told him about her life before she had met him. How her father and brothers had suppressed her, how her entire life had felt like she was walking on thin ice because of her father's temper. How he had lashed out at her most of the time and hit her multiple times. How she had tried her best to be the perfect daughter, but something inside her had always told her that this was wrong, that she wasn't meant to be treated that way. How she would sneak away to the Spirit Oasis because the place helped calm her and just play with the water. How, once, she'd even dared to step into the pond of the koi fish.
How her grandmother had given her waterbending scrolls as her final act of rebellion against the men in their lives. How she had honored that act by practicing her bending to train to become a fighter. How she had, finally, decided that she would not take the abuse any longer after nearly dying during the Siege. How her father had actually tried to hit her after she returned home, but she'd caught his descending hand using her waterbending. How she had knocked her brother aside with a wall of water, and frozen them to the floor. How she had looked her father in the eye, her very being radiating an anger that it actually had the temperature dropping in the room.
For the first time she had spoken her mind, and said what she had wanted to say for so so long. Her father had been too stunned to do anything. Her mother had stood in the corner, pride in her eyes where there had hardly been any emotion at all. Her brothers had stopped their struggle and had followed their father's example. Even though her father had already banished her, which had been the trigger causing her to act as she did, Orora had stated that she'd already made up her mind about leaving.
And then she had left.
Throughout the story, Zuko had never once looked away from Orora, even when she could not longer meet his gaze and instead focused on the night sky above. He had known she had gone through some trouble with her family, but he had no idea she still carried the scars of it, and that it still effected her. Then again, he carried his scars as well, physical and mental, so why should she be any different. He wasn't in any way comparing their pasts. They'd both had different experiences, both been treated harshly by their fathers and had been abandoned by their siblings to fend for themselves.
But then she revealed one final detail.
A detail that had Zuko's heart stopping in his chest, and a horrible feeling creeping all along his body, like pinpricks, and settling just under his skin where he could feel it the most.
The detail of how the verbal, emotional, mental and physical torture had gotten so bad at one point that she had actually considered just...........
She'd trailed off then, closing her eyes and feeling all that hurt, anguish and loneliness rise to the forefront of her mind. She'd put up a strong front all her life. Had never wavered when it came to her own sense of belief. But there were times when she had doubted and wandered if it would all be worth it in the end. She could feel the harsh sting of the tears behind her closed eyelids, felt them escape and slowly trail down her cheeks, warm against her skin.
"Sometimes I feel like, there's this chasm inside me. Even now, after getting away from it all, I'm standing at the very edge of it." She revealed, pressing a hand to her chest, where she could physically feel her heart ache. "There is no end to that chasm, and I'm about to loose my footing and fall." She gathered herself closer to her body, as if trying to attain some warmth that would dissipate the coldness that came from within. "But then, I feel someone take me by the hand, and pull me back a little and I look up."
Finally, she turned her head to look at him. A watery smile pulled at her lips, and despite the tears he could see the hope and utter trust in her eyes. His heart squeezed in his chest. Did he even deserve that from someone?
"And I see you standing there. You and your Uncle. I know we've known each other for just a few months, but I don't think I've ever trusted anyone before like I trust you Zuko. You and Master helped me see that you can trust someone."
She was baring herself to him, heart and soul, just like he had done all those nights ago when he had revealed the truth about his scar. "And yeah, we did fight and I didn't like you, I still sometimes want nothing more then to throw you off a building." A small laugh, prompting Zuko to smile at the sound. "But I trust you."
No one had ever trusted him before. Not his father, his sister, not even his crew. His Uncle did, but having another person, his soulmate, tell him that she trusted him was an another thing entirely.
He reached out, gently grasping her by the shoulders and pulling her in. Her head settled on his chest, right near his heart, his arms wound around her, one on her waist, the other around her shoulders, his hand buried in her hair as he held her close. He placed his head on top of her own and just sat there. For her part, Orora wrapped her arms loosely around his waist, feeling tired and drained after all that she had just revealed. Her eyes closed as she felt him drop a kiss to her head and she sighed.
Despite having not said a lot the entire night, with that one hug, Zuko said more then he ever could have.
The tears continued to fall until she finally fell asleep in his arms.
                                          ————————–
It was strange having someone else open up to him like Orora had. Growing up in the Palace, Zuko hadn't had many friends. Any at all. He would usually be around his mother, and she would play with him when he was younger, though as he got older he insisted that playing was for children and had instead moved on to practicing with weapons. His cousin had been the one to teach him about Dao Swords, but then he died. His mother disappeared, and it was only when Iroh returned that Zuko finally had a friendly face around the Palace. Azula had been lucky when it came to friends. She had Mei and Ty Lee.
Zuko had no one.
But now he had Orora.
Sitting on the bank of the significantly spacious pond, Zuko remembered the last time he had seen Orora practice like that. It was just after Azula had shot lightening at Iroh. Everything that had happened seemed like such a long time ago. The both of them had barely been able to look at one another then.
But in a span of a few short weeks they'd become friends. And they'd kissed.
He was brought out of his reverie when a bubble of water splashed just near his feet.
"Hey! Watch it!" He called out annoyed.
Orora stood in front of him, knee deep in water, her pants pulled up and her long shirt tucked in to keep from getting too wet. Not that it would matter, she could always waterbend herself dry.
She grinned. "Oh lighten up, and I mean figuratively." Zuko rolled his eyes as she laughed at her own joke. "You're trying too hard." He stated, prompting her to scowl at him.
"Well if you're just gonna make fun of my jokes, then I won't take my turn in our game." He raised an eyebrow at her. "I thought you were going to buy me moon peaches?" He asked to which she shrugged. "I can buy those for you any time, but I figured why not teach you a waterbending move which I'm sure you can use for other scenarios."
He blinked at her. She grinned and winked playfully.
Stepping out of the water, she quickly reached his side. "Come on, its an easy one, I promise."
So saying, she inhaled deeply, centering herself where she stood. Raising her arms in front of her, palms facing her body, she slowly brought them up to shoulder level before allowing her arms and hands to fly out, palms out.
The entire movement was fluid and graceful, quite the opposite of the firebending forms he had studied all his life.
"And when I do it with water." So saying she demonstrated the move again but this time using her waterbending abilities, sending a powerful wall of water splashing on the opposite end of the pond.
Zuko was impressed. She had improved a lot since he had met her. Her bending had gotten powerful through sheer practice and determination alone. Deciding to humor her, and yes she did catch him off-guard when she offered to teach him a waterbending move, Zuko dropped into stance next to her.
Orora smiled when he did, eager to share what she had learned.
As they both went through the motion, with Orora correcting him every now and then, the topic stayed on bending. Though now in an entirely different context.
"So I was thinking." He turned his head to look at her, though still going through the motions of the bending move. "You're able to bend using your feet as well. I mean I've seen you create arcs with just a swipe of your foot." She was careful to not say the word firebending in case someone else was listening in. "And Earthbenders can do the same, and I'm sure the Airbenders could as well."
Zuko nodded. "Yeah? I've seen the Avatar do that. What're you getting at?"
She shrugged. "Well I was just wandering, why isn't there any move where a waterbender could bend using their legs?"
Zuko frowned, contemplating on what she had just said. "Maybe no one has ever tried before?" He stated in a matter of fact voice, which had Orora humming, as she dropped her previous stance and waved her arms in an arc around her body, pulling a stream of water from the pond and creating a ring of water around her waist
"I guess." She said her voice low, dividing the ring into two and freezing one of them in a beautiful circular curvy ring. The water from the other ring, continued to weave through the now frozen structure, creating quite a pretty effect. It almost looked like she was wearing a stylized belt or something.
Having stopped going through the motions, Zuko turned his attention to her. "Why don't you try it?"
Her eyes snapped up to meet him, though her fingers kept moving in an elegant circular motion, keeping the water moving. "Me?" She asked, surprised.
Zuko shrugged. "Yeah whats wrong with you trying?" Orora pursed her lips, unfreezing the water and allowing the two rings to merge into one and sending it back into the pond.
"Well I'm not a Master, I don't know a lot of waterbending forms." She kicked her foot out sheepishly, catching a small pebble and watching as it rolled into the pond. "I doubt I'll be able to create a whole new form of bending."
Zuko frowned, not liking the way she was speaking about herself, and her abilities. Reaching out, he placed, what he hoped was a comforting hand, on her shoulder. "Look from what I have seen, you're a really good bender. You always practice when you can, and it doesn't even matter if you're doing it in the water, or just practicing going through the motions. You work hard, and your skills have improved since we had that spar in the forest."
She blinked up at him briefly, before a hopeful yet shy smile pulled at her lips. "You really think so?" She asked, and Zuko couldn't help but smile back at her. His hand moved from her shoulder, to cup the side of her face, thumb gently stroking her skin.
"Of course." He answered honestly.
She tilted her head, closing her eyes briefly, as if she were savoring his touch. "You know Zuko," She finally said after a brief stretch of silence. "For someone who acts grumpy all the time, you're a pretty sweet guy."
Instantly his expression changed to an annoyed look, prompting Orora to laugh under her breath. "You mention this to anyone, and I'll tell Uncle you broke his favorite teacup." He threatened.
Her eyes widened in disbelief. "I replaced it!" She protested. Zuko smirked, shaking his head.
"It doesn't matter. That teacup had sentimental value, he doesn't know its been replaced, unless I tell him."
Orora scowled at him, flicking away the hand that still rested on her cheek. "Oh you would stoop that low wouldn't you?" She ground out, pouting.
If possible, his smirk only widened. "Anything to be Uncle's favorite."
He was met with a light punch in the gut on part of an annoyed soulmate.
                                          ————————–
Ever since last night, Zuko had been thinking some things over. So far, Orora new most of what had happened to him, but he had neglected to inform her of the months he had spent chasing he Avatar and all that had come with it.
From being constantly belittled by Zhao, to nearly dying in an explosion, almost getting captured by Azula, not to mention that time when the Avatar had saved his life.
He had to tell her. She had been truthful with him. She deserved to know the truth. The whole truth.
The walk back home was a long one, and since he was sure there was no one around to listen, he decided it was his turn to catch her off-guard like she had him the night before.
By telling her about everything since he had begun chasing the Avatar. She had to know all that he had done, every dirty tactic and trick he had played to try and capture the Avatar. From the time he had used the watertribe girl's necklace as bait, to dressing up as the Blue Spirit, to kidnapping the Avatar while he was in the Spirit World.
It was one failed attempt after another, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth as he spoke. Surely Orora would want nothing to do with him. He was a failure. He couldn't even capture a twelve year old kid. Granted the kid was the Avatar, but he was still a kid.
Just as he had listened to her the night before, she listened to him. Once he had said all that he could, she inhaled deeply, her mind swirling with all that she could say to him. It was hard to choose where she should start.
So she started with holding his hand, pulling him into a partially hidden alley. She sighed. It almost felt like he had a rock inside him, weighing him down, as he waited for her to speak.
"I can't say that what you did was right, and I won't agree with it either." His heart dropped. "What you did was wrong Zuko, but....." She trailed off, licking her lips before sighing. "But I know more then a little about wanting to gain a father's approval." He blinked at her. That was more then he had hoped to hear. He had fully expected her to turn her back to him.
"You do what you can to please him. To try and get him to look at you with something other then contempt." She nodded in understanding, reaching up to run her fingers through the hair resting on his forehead before resting on his cheek. "You loose yourself in the process. You loose your own morals and that is the worst part." Never once leaving his gaze she continued.
"But you never did that. Where any other person would've taken a life or hurt someone out of desperation, never have I heard from your lips that you actually hurt someone." Zuko shook his head. "But that was all luck."
She shook her head. "You just told me that when Zhao was being taken away by the Spirits, you tried to save him, but he refused your help." He opened his mouth, but Orora quickly quietened him pressing her fingers to his lips. "You went after your Uncle after he was kidnapped by those Earthbenders. You never intentionally hurt anyone who came your way."
Finger gently caressing his mouth she continued. "And most of all, you saved my life. I'm proof that you haven't lost your morals Zuko. That you are a good person despite all that you have done. You didn't know who I was, you had no idea I was your soulmate, but you saved me." With every word she stepped closer until she was all but pressed up against him, her face just inches away. And while her gaze was open and earnest, he was looking at her through heavy lidded eyes. "I'm alive because of you." Her words were barely above a whisper as he dropped his forehead against her own. She sighed, adoring how warm he felt against her, her eyes slowly drifting shut, wanting to savor the moment. "I'm here because of you."
The last two words were muffled as she fused their mouths together in a kiss that had her grasping for the front of his shirt, while his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer.
So far their kisses had been quick and chaste, both of them feeling too shy and uncertain about their feelings for one another.
But this one?
This one kiss they shared in the alley?
It was anything but chaste.
Zuko pressed his mouth insistently against hers, forcing Orora to lean back. There was a near desperation in that kiss, almost as if her words had awoken some sudden realization in him. And they had.
She had reminded him how close he had been to loosing her. Loosing her before he had even gotten to know who she was. And how important she would become to him.
His arms tightened around her waist as he gently pushed her so her back would rest against the wall of the building. Neither of them broke the kiss, content on memorizing the shape of each other's lips. Her hands slid up his chest to bury her fingers in his hair. The gentle scrape of her nails against his scalp opened an entirely new plethora of feelings in him.
Instinct drove him forward, taking her lower lip between his teeth and allowing them to sink into her soft skin. His hands, not wanting to stay idle, began to roam the small of her back, tracing the side of her waist as he did. Orora could barely contain the sound of surprise at the sudden onslaught of new sensations his touch awoke in her. Her eyelashes fluttered against the curve of her cheeks as she too returned the favor by nipping at his lip. His sound of approval reverberated against her mouth, prompting her to smile as he melded their lips together once more.
It was then that she seemed to realize the heaviness clouding her mind was not because of having Zuko pressed up against her, and his mouth on her, but because she couldn't breath.
Her hands dropped to his chest, pushing him back and unfusing her lips from his. The moment she did, the young waterbender inhaled sharply, trying to catch her breath. Zuko was no better. He was breathing heavily as well. Their forehead were still pressed together, cheeks flushed, and their eyes were open, ice blue staring into warm amber.
Once they were able to calm their breathing, as well as their racing hearts, Zuko pulled away from her. Though he didn't look away from her. She was smiling softly, and he couldn't help but mirror that smile as he led her out of the alley and into the street, heading for home.
But despite what they had just spoken about, once they stood outside the apartment building Zuko couldn't help but glance at it and scowl.
He hated it. Hated that he had to work as a tea server his whole life. Zuko glanced at Orora as she walked beside him. Despite having not thought about it in awhile, his mind drifted back to home. To the Fire Palace and all the comforts that came with it. In his mind, his father welcomed him home with open arms.
The bitterness that was now a part of his soul festered away as he continued to think of a life back home with Orora by his side.
A life he could never have.
                                          ————————–
Putting away the last of her waterbending scrolls in the small wicker basket, Orora smiled and stood. "Well I'm done packing up, would you like me to make you a cup of tea Master?" She asked, already moving towards the stove and kettle, knowing he would answer in the positive.
"Anytime is good for tea my young Pupil, remember that life lesson." Iroh responded cheerfully, prompting the young girl to laugh as she bended some water into the kettle.
This was so exciting. Not even a month ago, they had barely had any money to buy clothes and food. And now? Her Master was getting the chance to open up his own tea shop. To say he was ecstatic would be an understatement. They would be moving to the Upper Ring, getting new apartments, new clothes. That last part was something she looked forward to more then anything else. Maybe she could even get her own room?
Orora was truly happy for Iroh. He deserved his own tea shop, with how excellent his tea making skills were. She was glad he had chosen to teach her his secrets as well. In her eyes, any teaching Iroh had to impart on her, she would gladly accept. It was truly an honor.
And speaking of honor, ever since their outing, Zuko had been in a bit of a modd. She had figured he needed to come to terms with what they had spoken about, and decided to give him some space instead. She knew he appreciated her advice, but sometimes a person needed to sort through some thoughts by themselves.
"Have you thought of a name yet for the tea shop?" She asked, curious to know what he would come up with. Just then the door slid open and Zuko stepped in.
Iroh, wanting to include Zuko into the conversation spoke up. "I was thinking about names for my new tea shop. How about the Jasmine Dragon? It's dramatic, poetic, has a nice ring to it." Orora hummed in agreement, watching curiously as Zuko unfolded a piece of paper and showed it to his Uncle.
"The Avatar is here in Ba Sing Se and he's lost his bison." Orora blinked in surprise. "He lost Appa?" She asked, worry lacing her tone as she quickly walked forward to look at the paper, which was actually a flyer, as Iroh examined it.
The old man sighed. "We have a chance for a new life here." He said, letting Orora take the piece of paper and examining it further. "If you start stirring up trouble, we could lose all the good things that are happening for us."
Zuko who had been looking out the window with a determined expression, turned around. "Good things that are happening for you!" His words prompted Orora to look up at him, hurt evident in her eyes. A fact that he refused to acknowledge and ignored completely, even as he glanced in her direction. Though a sliver of guilt settled in his stomach, he continued. "Have you ever thought that I want more from life than a nice apartment and a job serving tea?"
Iroh sighed. "There is nothing wrong with a life of peace and prosperity." His tone was soft and understanding as he continued. "I suggest you think about what it is that you want from your life and why."
"I want my destiny." Zuko stated without even thinking about his answer. Iroh nodded. "What that means is up to you."
Knowing he would get nothing out of his Uncle other then words of wisdom and riddles, young Prince stalked away to their shared rooms and disappeared behind the door. His Uncle didn't understand. And while on some levels Orora did, she had accepted her fate and the fact that she could never go home. Him though? He still had a chance to earn his father's approval and go back.
Orora stared after him, more then a little hurt at being ignored by Zuko like that.
"The Tea Weevil!" Iroh suddenly exclaimed, before shaking his head. "No, that's stupid." Biting her lower lip, the young waterbender moved back to the stove where the water was now boiling.
"He did not mean to hurt you Orora." Iroh's words had her blushing at being so obvious about the situation. She glanced at him to see the old man smiling kindly at her. "My nephew tends to push people away when facing a problem or a challenge, thinking he can take care of it himself."
Continuing to pack, Iroh added. "Give him some time, he will realize that what he already has is enough." Giving her a smile of reassurance, Iroh hoped he had helped ease her worries about Zuko a little.
                                          ————————–
Pretending to be asleep that night was no easy feat. She was restless, her mind ringing with what Zuko had said, and with the knowledge that Aang, Katara and Sokka were close by. And they had lost Appa. During the short journey from the North Pole to the mainland, she'd grown fond of the hairy beast. He was adorable, and Orora adored adorable things.
It was a weakness.
She heard Zuko as he got up from his sleeping mat. She sat up the moment the door slid close. A determined expression on her features, she quickly pulled on her shoes and grabbed her water pouch. She'd barely taken a few steps down the road when she bumped into her Master.
"A little late to be taking an evening stroll my young pupil." Iroh stated in a jovial tone, though his eyes were serious. Orora glanced over his shoulder. "He's just up ahead Master, we should be able to follow him."
Iroh shook his head. "No, my dear. You will stay in the apartment. Where Zuko is about to go, it is a dangerous place, and I cannot be worrying about your safety as well as Zuko's." Her heart plummeted in her stomach and her shoulders drooped.
"But Master, I can take care of myself." She insisted, to which Iroh placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know you can. But Ba Sing Se has powerful men and women working on the wrong side." With a firm squeeze of her shoulder, her Master stated one final time.
"Stay." With that he moved to follow after Zuko.
Orora pursed her lips where she stood, feeling a little bubble of disappointment forming in her chest. Did Iroh not have faith in her abilities? Or did he think she would distract Zuko?
Her heart and mind were at war, as she turned on her feet and began to walk back towards their apartment.
But a slight tug on her finger had her looking down at the string that connected her with Zuko.
She frowned.
                                          ————————–
Iroh had heard rumors of the secret of Lake Laogai. The White Lotus had warned him of the many dangers that lurked in the catacombs of the city. This had been one of the reasons he never allowed Orora to wander around the city by herself. He had heard tales of people disappearing, never to be heard from again.
Though he was reluctant to admit, Zuko had more experience when it came to being on guard and watching his back. Orora did not. She had proven to herself to be a skilled fighter, but she lacked the experience when it came to people.
Iroh followed after Zuko. Luckily the entrance to the under water base of operations had been left open. So it was easy to jump down and begin the task of looking for Zuko. The tunnels were dark and seemed almost haunted in the dim green light. The tiniest sound seemed so loud in one's ear. He'd only wandered through a few tunnels, when Iroh became aware of a presence behind him.
As a skilled firebender, he could actually feel the warmth of a body and how close it was. And these several presences were getting closer. He hid himself in a shadowed alcove, watching as several Dai Li agents rushed by. They had barely passed when he felt another heat form closing in.
Much to his surprise, it was a rather familiar one. As soon as they were within range, his hand darted out to catch them by the elbow, and pulled them into his hiding spot.
If he allowed himself to, Orora was sure her Master would be breathing steam at that moment, with how furious he looked.
"I told you to stay behind Orora." He said, his voice carried the weight of his disappointment. Orora lowered her head. "I know." Shame colored her tone. "I know you did Master, but I couldn't just sit back and do nothing."
Grumbling under his breath, Iroh ran a tired hand over his face. Finally he looked at her with a serious expression. "Orora. As your Master, I hereby forbid you from ever disobeying my orders again." He knew it wasn't right, knew that he was asking her to take an oath that she would find very hard to break, but he had to.
To protect her.
"Swear to me, that the next time I give you an order, no matter what the outcome may be, you will obey me."
Orora bit her lower lip, nodding. "I swear, Master." She hated the look he was giving her, and never wanted to see it again. He was her teacher, he knew best. She trusted him to keep her safe and never lead her down the wrong path.
Nodding in a satisfactory manner, Iroh peaked out from their hiding place. "Now follow me, and keep close."
                                          ————————–
While Iroh stayed on the lookout for any potential threats, Orora slowly began to lead the way following her thread. By some miracle, they didn't run into any trouble as they ventured deeper and deeper underneath the Lake. It didn't take long, for them to reach a door. Her finger gave a gentle tug and she knew Zuko was on the other side.
Iroh didn't waste time in reaching out and opening the door. He was already angry at Orora for disobeying him, and it was only growing at the thought of his nephew doing something stupid and throwing away his life.
The moment they entered, Orora closed the door behind her. The first thing she noticed was the person in the blue mask. Zuko, holding his Dao swords at the ready. And behind him?
Appa.
In chains.
"Appa!" She called out, rushing forward, darting past Zuko and approaching the Bison. The big creature let out a warning growl, though she wasn't deterred. "Its me. Orora." She held her hand out for him to sniff, to remember her scent. "Remember me?" She cooed, as the Bison leaned forward to press his nose against her palm. She gently ran her hand along his nose smiling. "Its alright boy. I'll get you out."
"And then what!?"
The sudden shout had her turning on her heel, eyes widening. She had never heard Iroh yell. Never seen him so angry as he did right then. Not even a few moments ago when he had caught her.
"You never think these things through!" He pointed a finger at Zuko, who now stood with his back to his Uncle, maskless, his eyes focused on the ground as emotions ravaged through his very sense of being. "This is exactly what happened when you captured the Avatar at the North Pole! You had him, and then you had nowhere to go!"
"I would have figured something out!" Zuko argued, though there was uncertainty in his voice.
"No! If his friends hadn't found you, you would have frozen to death!" Iroh stated, prompting a chill to run down her spine. Zuko had spoken to her about it, but how much had he downplayed on the amount of times he had nearly died?
"I know my own destiny, Uncle!" Again, he tried to argue, but Iroh was having none of it.
"Is it your own destiny, or is it a destiny someone else has tried to force on you?" He demanded. Behind her Appa fidgeted, not liking the loud voices. She made a reassuring sound, gently running her fingers through his soft fur.
"Stop it, Uncle! I have to do this!" Forced determination, that was all there was in Zuko's voice as his heart raged with his mind.
Capture the Avatar, restore his honor, restore his father's love, go back home, restore his title as Prince. That was all that mattered.
"I'm begging you, Prince Zuko!" Iroh demanded, and pleaded at the same time. "It's time for you to look inward and begin asking yourself the big questions. Who are you, and what do you want?"
That seemed to be the last straw.
Zuko let out a pained cry, throwing down his weapon and the mask, dropping to his knees as he did. Orora stood where she was for a few moments, before glancing at Iroh. He gave her a small nod.
Giving Appa a reassuring pat on the nose, she slowly approached the conflicted Prince. Her soft steps echoed in the otherwise silent chamber. She dropped to her knees in front of him, reaching out to place a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm not gonna say I understand, because our situations are vastly different." She started, knowing he was listening to her. "But I do know a little something about living a life, following a destiny that someone else decided for me." Reaching out, she cupped his face to make him look up, to meet her gaze.
Lost amber eyes, found a determined blue gaze.
"But I broke free, and I have never regretted that. I found a Master. I found you. I found friends. But most of all? I found myself."
Leaning forward she pressed a gentle, lingering kiss against the scar on his cheek.
"Find yourself, Zuko. Find your reason to fight." She whispered softly.
So saying, she stood. With one last gentle smile at him, she turned back to Appa, uncorking her water bag and pulling out twin streams of water.
"Alright Appa. We're gonna have to work together if we're gonna get you out of here." So saying, she threw her arm out, wrapping one of the chains that held Appa's leg, in a stream of water and freezing it in place.
"Now pull." The Bison gave a loud grunt as he pulled at the now brittle chain. It tokk a few tries, but he was able to free himself easily, prompting Orora to grin widely. Gathering up the water from the now brokem pieces of ice, she moved to the next chain when she suddenly felt a presence beside her.
It was Zuko.
He walked past her, swords in either hand, nearing Appa with every step. The Bison growled again, prompting Orora to reach out. "Its alright Appa. He's here to help."
She hoped.
Zuko stopped in front of the chains that held Appa prisoner. His swords began to steam as he allowed his firebending abilities to heat the metal. Raising them in the air, he brought down both swords in one powerful stroke with a mighty cry. The heated blade cut through the metal chain like butter.
Orora grinned.
Between the both of them, they were able to free Appa in a matter of minutes. The Bison let out a happy grunt, stretching his legs, before nudging Orora with his nose, nuzzling against her. The young girl giggled, throwing her arms around Appa's cheek and returning his embrace. "Go find Aang. I'm sure he's worried about you." She said, stepping back a little so she could meet Appa's intelligent gaze.
Glancing behind her, she saw Zuko standing next to Iroh. She reached out, quickly grabbing his hand and yanking him forward. "He wants to say thank you." She said, placing Zuko's hand on Appa's fur.
Zuko stood there, frozen, his eyes meeting Appa's brown gaze. Human and animal stood still, before Appa closed his eyes, and somehow, Zuko knew the creature was thanking him.
With a mighty thump of his tail, the Bison took off. Through sheer strength he was able to break through the thin metal railing above him and take to the skies.
"You did good." Zuko felt a soft hand slipping in his, prompting him to turn around and find a smiling Orora standing by his side. His Uncle stood not even a few paces away. Both of them looked proud.
The first time Zuko ever felt he did something right was when he saved Orora's life.
But this?
Helping an innocent animal go free, that came a close second.
                                          ————————–
The walk back from Lake Laogai was a long one. This gave Zuko some time to think about what had just happened. Did this mean he was no longer hunting the Avatar? That he was going to make a life for himself in Ba Sing Se? As more and more questions rose in his mind, he began to feel them crowd around in his head, causing it to become physically heavy.
He could barely navigate his way through the streets of Ba Sing Se as his head began to throb all over.
By the time they reached their apartment, Orora could barely feel her feet. Though she barely noticed the ache as she focused on Zuko. In the time it had taken them to get back home, his face had gotten paler and paler. She'd caught his eye and silently asked if he was alright. He'd nodded, though even his movements were starting to get sluggish.
"You did the right thing." Iroh said, opening the door to their apartment, the pride in his voice evident as both teenagers walked in. "Letting the Avatar's bison go free."
Orora, who had entered first, turned to look at Zuko. He looked worse then before. "Zuko?" She reached out, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. He lifted a hand, pressing his palm against the side of his head as he met her gaze. "Orora?" His words slurred. "I don't feel right." His vision of her grew hazy and blurry before it darkened completely.
She was barely able to catch him when he passed out. "Zuko!" She didn't know who was louder, her or Iroh, who rushed forward to help Orora lay him down on the floor. She grabbed him by the shoulders, gently shaking him.
"Zuko! Zuko wake up!"
No response.
"Zuko!"

BOUND FOREVER(YANDERE TOM RIDDLE X READER)
Tumblr media
It was your first year at Hogwarts and you were quite excited to learn everything there was about magic and make friends. You were on the Hogwarts Express and you tried to find an empty compartment when you finally stumbled upon a compartment with a guy who looked a few years older than you and had raven black curls on his pale skin as he lazily flipped through the pages of one of his books in his hands. You opened the door and you entered the compartment as you asked him whether you could sit inside with him. His eyes met yours and his gaze surveyed your features with a calculating sharp look. He had a look of slight annoyance in his eyes but beckoned for you to sit without saying a word. You smiled and thanked him and sat opposite towards him and when you pulled your 'A History of Hogwarts' book out, his lips curved into a cheshire like grin. "I'm guessing you're a first year?" he asked you. "Well yes, I'm reading more about Hogwarts so I can learn more about it and it's actually quite fun'' you said with a smile. For a while only the sound of the train on the tracks was heard along with the chatter of the other students from the other compartments and there was a peaceful silence between the two of you
"I didn't get your name'' you said and looked at the guy in front of you. "Tom Marvolo Riddle, 3rd year'' he replied with a smirk as you shook his hand and introduced yourself. He liked how soft your hand felt in his, you looked so...innocent and docile and so gullible with that silly yet slightly endearing grin etched across your face. He couldn't wait to have more of you. The two of you were talking with each other when the compartment door slid open as a few Ravenclaw students entered and they stared at you. "You're new eh? Well if you ever need anything lemme know, I'll be more than willing to be your...guide'' said one of them as he licked his lips and his eyes travelled down your body hungrily which you were unaware of. It didn't go unnoticed by Tom though as he had a fake smile plastered across his face and asked him to step out of the compartment for a few moments with him. As the both of them stepped out, he immediately grabbed him by the tie and glared at him. "If I ever see your filthy gaze on Y/N again, by Merlin I will torture you till you fall at my feet and BEG me for death as I gouge your bloody eyes out...now get lost'' he snarled as the guy in front of him whimpered in fright. "Bloody pathetic...I'll kill you in your sleep at some point'' said Tom and smirked at the guy while the guy hobbled away in fright. Tom wasn't going to let anyone take you from him, you were his little prey, a little lamb meant to be devoured by him
He returned back to the compartment and you kept talking to him while he listened and absorbed every word you said. The train finally reached the station as you and the other First Year students headed into the Great Hall ready to be sorted. You spotted Tom sitting with the rest of his other friends at the Slytherin table and you could feel his eyes on you. You were nervous and started fidgeting with the hem of your robes, anxiously waiting for your name to be called to be sorted as Tom took pleasure in watching you squirm from afar. He thought you looked rather amusing and slightly endearing, his desire to make you squirm for him even more grew as he kept watching you. Your name was finally called upon and you sat down on the stool as the hat was placed on your head and after a few moments of deliberation from the hat, you got sorted into the Hufflepuff house as you smiled and joined your house. Tom's fists clenched as his knuckles  as he watched you join those insignificant pests when you were supposed to get sorted into Slytherin so you could be by his side
'No matter...they're still mine' thought Tom to himself as he watched you laugh and giggle with the other people around you. He felt himself growing irritated at himself, he was angry at himself for allowing his mind to be plagued with thoughts of you, he hated the way you laughed with other people, he felt his anger and rage boiling inside him. After the dinner was over, you met with Tom and when you told him that even though the two of you were in different houses, you still wanted to be friends with him as his lips curved into a smirk. How naive and adorable you were, while the others shivered in their shoes since he instilled fear into them, there was you who actually wanted to be close to him. You failed to realize he was a wolf in sheep's clothing with a mask, hiding his unnatural feelings of obsession for you with his dark twisted desires
He was calculating when he started isolating you from the others. He threatened, blackmailed and tortured people whoever dared to come too close to you. Every time you'd meet him in the Room of Requirement wondering why people didn't want to be close to you and how you'd start sniffing pathetically, he'd coo at you in a patronizing condescending manner secretly glad that you're leaning on him and relying on him for support. He loved the way your tears fell down your cheeks, those beautiful lashes of yours tinged with your tears as your eyes are bleary and puffy, it gave him sadistic pleasure to see you cry. The other day someone invited you to a day out with them at Hogsmeade and you told Tom about it as his eyes narrowed at you and curtly told you he had a problem he had to take care of. He tracked down the git who tried to take you from him and immediately used the Avada Kedavra on him as a beam of green light erupted from his wand. He stared down at the lifeless body in front of him with contempt as he put his wand back into his robes and went back to join you
By the time you realized Tom was the one behind all those deaths and all those people getting hurt, it was too late. He'd spun a web of lies, trapping you like a helpless little butterfly in his web of deceit and manipulation. You tried to tell professor Dumbledore about his behavior after the Transfiguration class. "Professor...Professor, please, I need to have a word with you'' you pleaded as you tried to catch up with him while you walked on the steps. Someone ended up tipping Tom off that you were about to talk to professor Dumbledore as he rushed to find you. "Y/N!" yelled Tom as he strode over to you, his every step filling you with dread. "I apologize for my sudden intrusion professor, Y/N here had a question about today's lesson...I assure you I shall clear Y/N's questions'' said Tom with his usual charming smile that could fool anyone but not you since you've finally seen him for who he actually was
Professor Dumbledore bade you both goodnight and left as you wanted to cry out for him to look back and save you from the clutches of his toxic manipulative grasp but all you could do was just keep your mouth shut when Tom sent a withering glowering glare towards you. He dragged you by your wrist into a nearby classroom and pinned you against the wall. "LET ME GO! WHAT ARE YOU-" you screamed as his hand covered your mouth, muffling your cries and screams for help as tears pricked your eyes. "There are consequences when you go behind my back...you are MINE, you're MY property and I have no qualms of getting more blood on my hands to make you stay with me...I love you after all'' he whispered as he had his signature wolf like grin on his face. You tried to squirm in his grasp and he chuckled as he felt your hands weakly pushing against him, how cute, you really thought you could fight back against him. "Be a good little pet for me and stop your whining unless you don't want your family and friends to see the light of day again...'' he whispered as he leaned close to you and enjoyed the way you kept whimpering and sobbing in his arms. His thumb gently caressed your cheek as his dark obsession for you was fueled even more when he saw how soft and pliant and vulnerable you were before him. A few seconds later you started losing consciousness and he held you by the waist. You were now his, bound forever to him and he'd ensure no one would ever be able to save you from him...

“Why do you always do this every night?!” I scream at my father.
“C-cause you’re a pathetic p-piece of shit and you’re ungrateful for every t-thing i’ve done for you!” My father yells back at me slurring his words his voice obviously laced with alcohol.
I stay quiet as he gets up from the single couch and now is face to face with me.
“Get. Out. My. Face.” I whisper sternly.
Now that he’s closer to me I can examine his features.
His mouth slightly parted as he breathes out his mouth onto my face letting me smell the alcohol in his breath, his eyes heavy as he stares at me.
“You don’t tell me what to do you fucking bitch!” He screams in my face and slaps me, his force pushing me down on the floor.
He leans over to me on the floor and grabs my collar.
“You’re the reason why your mother left because she knew how much of a fucking idiot you were!” He screams in my face.
I feel tears streaming down my down my face.
“That’s not true! She left because of you! Of how much of an alcoholic you are and how you get when you’re under the influence!” I yell my voice shaking.
His face changes. His breathing starts to pick up rapidly.
His eyes widen and I can see the rage build in his eyes.
He suddenly lunges at me and puts me in a chokehold.
My mouth falls open as i struggle to breathe as he squats above me. “See, look at you now under me looking like a helpless fool-“ he cuts himself off by chuckling subtly. “Why can’t you just leave my the fuck alone!” He yells in my face shaking me around like a rag doll.
I gather all my strength and kick him in his “sensitive” area. He immediately drops me and falls over holding his area.
I immediately gasp for air and skedaddle to my feet rushing upstairs to my room.
“I hate you! You piece of shi-“ I cut him off by slamming my door.
I lean against the door and sag down to the floor. I break into tears and bury my face in my knees.
I sob uncontrollably as I shake and start to hyperventilate.
Suddenly, I get this strong urge to hurt.
I drag myself to my nightstand and open the drawer. I pull out a small blade.
“This is wrong.” I whisper to myself.
I drop the blade back in the drawer and push it closed. I stand up and walk to my closet.
I need to distract myself. I thought to myself.
I grab a hoodie and a pair of cargos and get dressed. I grab my phone, wallet, and pepper spray and jump out my window.
I run away from my house without looking back. I just need to clear my head.
Crying while walking down the sidewalk of my street, I check the time. “7:09pm”
Still super early.
I continue walking and find some stray cats. I stop in my tracks and slowly bend down to pet them.
They accepted my affection and started rubbing against me, meowing.
They cheered me up a bit as I wipe away my tears and stand back up.
I was to the end of my street where there is a huge plaza across the street.
I walk to the plaza and walk into a Starbucks.
“Hello there! Welcome to Starbucks, what’s the name for the order?” The worker asks.
“Hello! Um the name for the order is Y/n and I’ll just take a strawberry açaí refresher and a muffin please and thank you.” I tell her.
“Will that be it today?” She asks. “Yes that is all.” I assure her.
“Okay! That’ll be $9.47, cash or credit?”
“Credit.” I say as i hand her my card. She swipes it and hands it back.
“Your order should be out soon have a goodnight!” she smiles. “You too!” I smile back and go to sit down at a table.
I pull out my phone as I wait for my order.
I look up hearing the most pretty voice i had ever heard. There he was. Standing there, the most beautiful man to ever walk the earth. Matt Sturniolo.
Matt is a guy from my school and is gorgeous, I’ve always had a thing for emo guys..
I stare at him with my mouth slightly parted.
He suddenly turns around and catches me staring, he looks concerned for a second but then smiles at me and sits at a table across the room from where I am.
“Order for Y/n!” The worker yells.
“Oh! That’s me! Thank you!” I say as grab it and walk back to my table.
I pull out my phone and start to mindlessly scroll through instagram. When 2 taps snap me back to reality.
I flinch and turn to the person who tapped me. It was Matt.
My eyes widened as he speaks.
“Hey is this seat taken?”
“N-no not at all.” I manage to get out. He smiles and sits across from me.
“You’re y/n, right?” He asks pointing at me. I nod stupidly with a smug smile not being able to form words.
He laughs and the sound send chills down my spine.
“I saw you looking at me earlier. I couldn’t help but wonder if you’re okay?” He asks.
My face visibly drops.
“What do you mean?” I reply. “I mean you have a black eye and your neck is really bruised.” He states pointing out my injuries.
“I-uh” I take a deep breath in. “It’s my father, he’s really abusive when he’s under the influence. It happens often when he drinks to much, he gets angry for no reason and picks a fight with me and it always ends physically.” I say as my mouth just spits out words.
I gasp.
“I-I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have said anything!” I speak again looking at him.
He looks shocked as he stares at me. He shakes his head, “No! it’s alright! I won’t tell anyone i’m just glad you told me I can help you.”
I look at him surprised. “How can you help me we just met.”
He stays silent.
“Umm. Hello?” I ask and seem to take him out the trance he was in.
He shakes his head. “I-I can help you and support you, when you wanna get out come call me!” He says smiling once he finished.
I smile back at him as he hands me his phone.
I take his phone and put my number in it, labeling me as “y/n the best person ever”
I hand his phone back. He takes a look at it and laughs.
He puts his phone back in his pocket.
“Let me walk you home.”
-
I laugh out loud as Matt tells me about this experience he had with a girl.
Matt laughs “A-and then she tried to lean in and kiss me and I leaned back and she fell!”
I smack his arm as we both laugh on the walk back home.
We continue walking when he brings up something unexpected.
“Y’know, I’ve always admired you from a far.” Matt speaks softly.
I look at him speechless.
He doesn’t look at me as we continue to walk.
“I-I-“ I clear my throat. “I’ve always admired you to, I never had the courage to talk to you.” I look back at the road.
I look at him and see a smile plastered on his face.
“Really?” He questions.
“Yes, I always thought you were so fi-“ I get cut off by a stray cat clawing at my feet.
Thank god for the cats, I was about to say something I would regret.
I quickly bend down to pet them as Matt watches me with a smirk.
Once I’m done petting them, they run away and I stand back up. I look over at Matt and see that smirk.
“What?” I say with a smile.
He just stares at me. “Nothing.” He replies and starts to walk again.
I quickly follow him.
“What were you gonna say back there?” He asks.
“Uh-“ I try to think of an excuse.
“Nothing.” I say as we finally make it to my house.
“I had a good time with you tonight.” He smiles down at me.
My face lights up.
“I had a great time with you too.” I say looking up at him.
We stare at each other for a moment.
“Well, I’ll see ya tomorrow!” He says and bends down to kiss my forehead.
My face immediately becomes flustered as I freeze not expecting that. He smiles and begins to walk away.
I look back at him walking until he disappears into the distance.
I smile to myself as I start climbing up to my window.
Once I get into my house I quickly change and hop into bed.
I get a text from him.
It reads “goodnight, cutie.”
I smile again and reply.
“goodnight, pretty boy.”
He laughs at my message and I turn off my phone.
He makes me feel so much better. I can’t wait to see him again.

The hand with your key had shaken trying to unlock the door to your apartment.
It might've been the nerve, or the drink, or the fact that Kobeni had stuffed her face into the crook of your neck, breathing hard and fast, her hands pawing at the back of your suit jacket, squirming like a kitten.
Regardless, they're not shaking now.
The moment the both of you stumble through the cramped parlour and kitchenette to the bedroom, dimly lit with orange string-lights and a salt lamp petulantly aglow in the corner, Kobeni is on you with a vigour you see from her once in a blue moon and always on the field. She's slightly... damp, from sweat or rain or drool or just whatever keeps her perpetually sustained in a state of unspooling anxiety, but her strong fingers have a grip on your blazer, tugging it off like it had offended her.
"S-slow—" you manage to gasp out before she reaches up to kiss you again, fast and needy, parting her lips to lick into your mouth and you groan. "Beni," you pant between breaks for air. "Ben, Beni—"
She whines when you grip her narrow shoulders and push her down, bracketing her fast with your strength. When she peers up at you, your brain flatlines a little; her usual flouncy ponytail has unravelled, leaving two scarlet clips adrift in a wave of messy brunette hair, and it frames a face scarlet with blush from cheekbone to jawline. Her lips are red, full as candy apples, wet with spit, her dark brows knitted up, her dark eyes big and deep and starving.
She makes a needy noise, tries to lean in to kiss you again, but you manage to force her back down.
"Just—just lemme breathe a minute, babe," you pant out. Kobeni goes painfully redder and nods. "Alright. Okay. Look, we've both had a little to drink. Are you sure—"
"Yes," she blurts out, before you've even finished the question. "Th—I mean—that's the only reason I f-feel brave enough to..." Her voice wilts a little, but you can suddenly feel your pulse in your skull.
"Kobeni," you say, lowly. "I... overheard you talking with Himeno a week back. I know you... you haven't done this before. I just want to make sure you want—I mean, that you know what you want. With me, of all people."
Kobeni's eyes fill with tears. "I—I only want you," she hiccups. "I m-mean... God, this is so embarrassing, but I—ever since I got assigned to you, and working under you, I mean, oh, I'm messing this up but I j-just..."
"Breathe, dove," you murmur, and—trusting her to stop jumping you like she's springlocked—move your hands to cup her face. She burns beneath your touch, eyes pools of ink staring urgently up at you. "You're not messing anything up, 'kay? I just need to make sure here. I'm not some kinda scummy boss. I—I care about you. That's half the fuckin' problem, I mean—fuck. I don't want you to regret this. That's all. Okay?"
Kobeni sniffles. "I won't. I've always... it's all I've b-been thinking about. I—every night. And tonight, going out, I thought I was being annoying, clinging to you like I did b-but now we're here and—and I'm so close, please don't send me away." She hiccups pathetically. "I, mm. I love you. I love you."
Something presses down on your chest like a weight, compressing your heart into your ribcage. And you love her too, you love her too, so you lean forwards and kiss the tear tracks on her face whilst she huffs and squirms, craning her neck; her wet lips brush yours once, twice before she makes a whiny noise of desperation and you finally bring her in.
She's jittery, switching between being too enthusiastic and freezing up—presumably because she has no idea what to do. But at least she's moving slower now, satiated apparently by getting her feelings off her chest, and she lets you guide her this time.
"On the bed," you murmur against her lips. "If you're sure."
Kobeni nods frantically, clambering upon your mattress so eagerly that the sheets tangle around her. You bite back a giggle at the sight of her, sitting on her haunches like a dog awaiting its owners return.
"Tell me, okay?" you reiterate as you start undoing your shirt of your own admission; it slips off your shoulders, and Kobeni squeaks, eyes tracking your every moment like it's the last thing she'll ever see. Lamplight glints in the onyx of her eyes. "Kobeni. You can stop whenever. Whatever you're comfortable with. I need you to tell me what to do, how far you wanna go. Okay? You hear me?"
"Y-yes," she whimpers. "I, um..." Her hands wring together, eyes averting into her lap. "I want to... I don't know. I want... you to... t-touch me?"
"That's a start," you agree mildly. "How about we start smaller, though... you wanna take your shirt off?"
Her cheeks burn, but she nods, shaky hands moving to untuck her shirt from her slacks and start on the buttons. Pale skin slices down the middle, adorned with a worn, plain black bra. It looks like it's been through the washer two dozen times—you know Kobeni sends most of her paycheck home to her family. She must not be able to afford luxuries.
You could buy her one. Not in a weird way, like an old geezer sending lace thongs to his twenty-something secretary, obviously. Just... something that doesn't look like it's held together by two threads.
Kobeni covers the exposed skin. "Sorry," she mumbles, and you realise with a lurch you've been staring in silence. "I know I'm not—y-you're probably used to more—"
"Don't think that," you interrupt, walking over and slotting yourself between her legs. The fabric of her slacks strains against her thighs, and she stares up at you, slack-jawed, starry-eyed, alight with blush. "You're so gorgeous," you murmur. "So—the second you walked into my office, oh my god. Haven't been able to get you outta my head. Do I sound creepy? You can tell me if I do."
She shakes her head wildly. "N-no! Me too! I—like you said, the second I walked in—and you've been so kind. Nobody's ever..." Her lower lip trembles. "I really love you. Sorry. I love you."
"I love you too," you murmur, and swoop in to touch her.

Im sick and not working today, but i have animator brain rot & i still wanna talk animation. So lemme share some snippets of process for this rough animation
Tumblr media
First thing, i do scribble pass. Everything in this post is animated in the rough animator ipad app!
Tumblr media
The scribble pass is pure gesture, not stressing about mass or model or any of the fundamentals yet. Focusing solely on the idea and rough timing(and also what i find fun to draw, like expressions and smears)
Tumblr media
(Like this smear haha)
Next i did the kick! I animated a loop of a single kick, but it felt a little boring.
Tumblr media
To add some spice, i decided to keep it to 3 distinct kicks, & took the impact key and skewed it into 3 different positions. Then i skew adjusted the extreme pullback key to fix its arcs. And then from there it was just skewing the inbetweens to keep the anim smooth.
From here i took a run at the upper body. But i didn't like my first pass (you can see it faintly under the cylinder).
Tumblr media
It was lacking depth, it felt boring and flat. I was having a hard time imagining the motion i wanted, so i simplified it down to a cylinder, which was much eaier (and faster) to wrap my head around. I wrote notes on the side, because i was working on this in short increments, and didn't want to forget when I'd pick it up again, hours later.
From there, i plot out my keys, and track my arcs.
Tumblr media
I picked the elbow points as theyre the outer most points so they move the most, and are the easiest to make a big circle arc with. But i also keep in mind my arcs on the head and features as im flipping.
And then I'm sorely lacking the WIPs from then to the end, but this is what i ended up with:
Tumblr media
I add a big antic before the smear, a small overshoot when the character hits the screen. Keeping them static except for the eyes and arm, and then another antic down.
I haven't fully finished the loop, its missing frames to get the character back in their seat. I'll eventually take it into toonboom to clean up and to fully finish the loop.
Hope this was at least an interesting read! I shared it on twitter a while back, and a few folks mentioned how nice it was to see the "ugly" side, the thinking sode, instead of beautiful polished work haha.

connie when he’s in erens studio after begging him to let him mess around
LNFAJDJSJD! The lil dance he done—this got me crying 😭 begging eren to let him on the track. “C’mon man. Lemme on the song, bro. I’m the feature you need for real. Quit playing bruh.” And after being annoyed, Eren would agree. “Aight but don’t come with no bullshit.” And bullshit is what he comes with indeed..he’d be in the booth going in, thinking he doing something. Dancing around and doing the most. Finally, Eren buzzes in and he’s looking at him. “Aye Connie?” “That shit go stupid, don’t it?” and it takes everything in Eren not to rush in that booth and beat his ass but he just smiles at him before finally snapping:
“Get your ass out out my fucking studio before I shoot you in the ankles. The fuck is wrong with you?”
and Connie’s trying to snatch the headphones off and get out as quick as possible but Eren’s still cussing his ass out. Going off.
“Just wasting my motherfucking time. And my electricity. Matter of fact, you’re banned. Get out.”

i am single-handedly running the L agenda (jkjk)
with that being said lemme scoot in here and request something that actually came to me in a dream (giving prophecy). this is literally the second time it has happened to me
i just love the idea of the task force continuously embarrassing themselves in front of snarky girlfriend. like these are grown men with many years of investigation under their belt and they get destroyed by someone in their young 20s lyke
that’s how specific the dream was for me. literally no more details 😔
but i trust you bestie.
also so i don’t spam your inbox i am also requesting on the side a lil f*ngering moment if you will. L’s fingers in the manga really speak to me on a personal level 😏
hello, my favorite follower<33 missed u in my inbox. reporting for duty to carry out the L agenda 🫡
for this writing, i pulled that one l, light, and misa date from the anime and put my own spin on it- featuring Y/N as well. i tried my best to directly quote the anime, idk how well i did tho😭 but it’s the same idea, basically. hope you enjoy💚
ೄྀ࿐ fem!reader, nsfw ahead, f!ngering, light and l fight😭ˊˎ-

It was clear that the day was going to be weird when Aizawa, a respectable and work-oriented member of the task force, came into the headquarters with no pants on. Just white boxers decorated with red polka-dots.
Soichiro glanced absently in Aizawa’s direction upon hearing him come in, then did a double take, expression questioning. “Uh… Aizawa… did something happen?”
Matsuda had the same reaction as Soichiro. “Uh- where’d your pants go?”
Pants and belt slung around his arm, Aizawa trudged towards the other two men, looking exasperated. “Stupid security system wouldn’t let me in. In my opinion, Ryuzaki’s gone a little overboard with the security measures.”
“I’m fairly certain we’re past the point of overboard- this is the Kira investigation, after all,” Soichiro pointed out:
“Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Aizawa admitted, stopping in his tracks to hurriedly put his pants and belt back on before sitting in a chair between the two men. He searched around the room curiously, noticing an absent presence. “Hey- where’d Ryuzaki and everyone else go?”
Matsuda gestured to the screen displayed in front of them. “Oh- Ryuzaki, Misa-Misa, Light, and Y/N are on a date upstairs.”
Aizawa let out a groan. “For God’s sake, Matsuda, will you stop it with this Misa-Misa crap?”
Matsuda offered a sheepish grin. “Ah- yeah, sure.”
Tumblr media
“Man… this has got to be the lamest date I’ve ever been on,” Misa groaned beside you, arm propped up on the back of the sofa and her head resting in the palm of her hand.
“Oh, don’t mind us,” L offered, twirling a fork around in his mouth. “Just act like we’re not even here.”
Misa frowned, crossing her arms. “This could have been a cute double date- with me and Light and you and Y/N- even if you guys are super stalker-y. But Light’s sitting over there with L handcuffed to him while I’m stuck over here with Y/N. It’s like this totally fucked-up double date where L is dating Light and I’m with Y/N.” Misa glared at you, and it took everything in you to keep your expression stoic in return. “By the way, I don’t swing that way, so, like, if that’s what you were thinking-“
“Misa, shut up,” you cut her off harshly, gaze as stony as ever. Then you addressed both Misa and Light. “Listen, we get you’re uncomfortable, but you both understand the circumstances we’re in right now,” you told Misa sternly, also sending a look in Light’s direction. “This is only necessary.”
“Yeah, Misa, it’s probably best we not protest it,” Light agreed, gesturing towards you. “Obviously, we both know we aren’t Kira, but given the evidence, it’ll be difficult to change L’s mind about that fact.”
“Ugh, do we have to talk about that boring crap? Light, all we ever do is talk about Kira, Kira, Kira. Why can’t we talk about normal boyfriend and girlfriend stuff?” Misa whined petulantly, and despite the fact that this “date” had just started, you already found yourself wanting to absolutely deck Amane.
“Well, if you haven’t noticed, that’s all there is to talk about,” Light countered, sounding a little agitated. “Neither of us go to school anymore, and I’m very literally handcuffed to L.” He lifted his hand to indicate the chains around his wrist, raising an absent L’s hand in the air as well.
L was obviously thinking about other things, his dark eyes fixated on the slice of cake, adorned with a small red strawberry, sitting on the coffee table. “Are you going to eat that cake, Amane?” L inquired, pointing at the slice with his fork.
Misa glanced at the pastry disdainfully before rolling her eyes to the ceiling again. “No. Cake makes you fat. I’m not gonna eat it.”
“Well, I find that you don’t gain any weight as long as you burn it off with brainpower.”
Misa bristled. “Huh? So now you call me stupid?”
L shrugged and started to reach for the plate, but then a light appeared in Misa’s eyes and she leaned over and snatched the plate last minute. “Hold on. You can have the cake if you-“ Misa glared at you from the corner of her eye- “and Y/N promise to leave me and Light alone.”
“Yeah, right,” you scoffed, folding your arms across your chest. “Even if we did do that, we’d still be watching on surveillance cameras.”
Misa whirled around to face you, cheeks red with fury and pink lips in a pout. “Well- then we’ll turn all the lights off and get under the bed covers! Right, Light?”
Light made a face. “Misa…”
“Infrared cameras exist, you know,” L replied vacantly, still focused on the cake.
Misa recoiled, sticking her tongue out as if she was a toddler. “Ewwww! You pervert! Will you just stop it with your creepy hobby?”
“You can call me whatever you like. Last chance for cake,” L announced, standing up and scooping the plate off of the table. Misa hmphed and turned her nose up.
There was silence for a little while- Misa fuming while L started on his cake, you and Light simply silent. But then Light spoke up, turning to look at L with a confused expression on his face.
“What’s wrong with you?” Light queried, tone a little bit accusing and making your focus shift to him instantly. “I thought moving here was supposed to help us to catch Kira. But since we’ve been here, you don’t seem all that motivated to me.”
L paused for a moment, swallowing a bite of cake and setting his fork down. “Hm. Not motivated…” He trailed off, in thought, before facing Light and replying, “You’re right- actually, I’m depressed.”
You almost flinched. With your status as L’s partner, you’d obviously noticed the shift in L’s overall mood, and you two had already had a very similar conversation to the one you believed L and Light were about to have. However- you knew for a fact that Light was bound to react a lot worse than you did.
Light, meanwhile, pressed on. “Depressed? What for?”
L dragged the fork along his teeth before glancing up at the ceiling and answering. “Well, he began dubiously, “briefly all this time I thought you were Kira, and my entire case hinged on that fact.” He sighed. “I guess I just can’t get pass the fact that my deduction was wrong. Although having said that, I’m still suspicious of you. That’s why we’re wearing these.” L lifted his arm that was attached to Light’s, making the handcuffs jingle. “And we also know that Kira can control people’s actions. Which means… it’s highly likely that Kira was controlling your actions so that I would suspect you. If I assume both you and Misa were being controlled by him, then everything we’ve observed so far makes a lot more sense to me.”
“So… if what you’re thinking is correct, that means Misa and I were Kira at one point, right?”
L glanced at Light sideways. “Yes. I don’t think we could have been wrong about that. The two of you are Kira.”
Both Light and Misa frowned, Misa pouting in a stubborn expression, but much to your relief, remaining silent.
L continued his monologue, although you could tell he was talking more to himself than to Light at this point. “If what I was thinking was correct, when your confinement began you were Kira. I don’t believe it’s coincidence that as soon as you were imprisoned, all the killings stopped. Until then, everything pointed to you being Kira. But after two weeks… criminals actually began dying again. Based on that evidence, I can only conclude that Kira’s power passes between people.”
Light’s expression softened, and he nodded thoughtfully. “That’s an interesting idea. But if it’s true,” he noted with a frown, “it’ll be nearly impossible for us to catch Kira.”
L nodded as well, staring straight ahead. “Yes. That’s why I’m overwhelmed. Even if we catch someone under his control, they are likely to lose their powers and any memory of their crimes. So in the end, pursuing them becomes futile.”
Light was quiet for a little bit. “But… at this point we have no way of knowing if that’s the case,” he offered halfheartedly. “So cheer up, would you?”
L? Cheer up? You almost couldn’t stifle your laugh.
L seemed surprised by this for a second, but shook his head slowly. “Cheer up? No. I’m sorry, I can’t. It’s probably better if I just stop trying so hard. By chasing Kira so desperately, we’re just putting our lives at risk for nothing.” Again, he twirled the fork around in his mouth, gaze directed at his feet. “Yes…it’s just a waste of time.”
There was more silence- but this time, you felt how tense it was rather than thoughtful, and you suddenly felt a little uneasy.
Then, Light: “Ryuzaki…”
“Hm?”
Your head snapped towards Light a split second too late. The next thing you heard was the sound of Light’s fist meeting L’s face- hard, and suddenly the two of them were flying- L backward and Light forward, unwillingly pulled along by the handcuffs that joined the two. Ryuzaki knocked into the table just before hitting the ground, and it flipped over, sending L’s unfinished slice of cake to the floor.
You and Misa both got to your feet abruptly, and you could hear Misa’s whimpers of disgust as she accidentally stepped in the smushed cake. Misa, however, was far from your concerns. “What the hell?” you demanded, eyes furiously darting from L on the ground to Light, bent over and breathing hard. “Light, what do you think you’re doing?!”
Light whirled around to face you. “What? You can’t tell me you wouldn’t do the same thing!” Then he turned back to glare daggers at L, whose eyes were wide with surprise and his hand cradling his cheek where Light had punched him. “That’s enough! You don’t feel like doing anything just because your genius deduction was wrong and I’m not Kira?!”
L stared up at Light, the look in his eyes unreadable. “Hm… perhaps I phrased that the wrong way. I meant that it would be pointless for us to make a move, so why even bother…”
Your face twisted with annoyance. Good grief. Couldn’t L see he was just adding fuel to the fire? Half the time you didn’t know if he was genuinely unaware of his actions or just doing it on purpose.
“Man, I didn’t think this date could possibly get any worse…” Misa whined from behind you, now wearing one sock because of the cakey mess on the other one.
“Misa, be quiet, for Christ’s sake,” you snapped, and Misa recoiled before eventually shutting up, plopping herself down on the couch and putting on a petulant pout. “You two- stop being ridiculous and get off the floor. Can’t you see this isn’t helping anything?”
L peered at you from behind Light’s angry form. “You know, Y/N is really right…”
“Don’t change the subject,” Light snapped. “If we don’t chase Kira, he’ll never be caught. Is that what you want? If you’re just gonna give up, then why did you involve all those innocent people? More importantly, what was the point of putting Misa and me behind bars?”
L mulled over this for a moment. “I understand. But still, whatever the reason…”
You knew exactly what was coming next when L slowly climbed off the ground, a dark twinkle in his eye. And he struck Light back, fist buried in his eye and eliciting a pained grunt from the student.
“An eye for an eye, my friend.”
Again, the two men flew- but now it was Light’s turn to fly backward and L forward, the handcuffs holding fast. They both hit the floor with a massive thud, and you knew without a doubt that the task force downstairs could hear you all now.
Why aren’t those idiots doing anything?
Misa let out another dismayed cry, and you finally decided you had to intervene. Before either one of them could land another blow, you got in between the two, preventing them from reaching each other.
“Are you both insane?” you snarled, giving both of them equally vaporizing glares. “What the hell are you fighting like some schoolyard children for? Can’t you see how idiotic the both of you look? Blindly swinging instead of effectively talking about this?”
The pair paused, seemingly taking your words into account, but stares still fixed intently on each other, and you knew they both were aching to swing again.
Finally, L spoke up, but it was directed at Light. “It’s not my deduction that was wrong,” he panted, eyes burning into Light’s. “The fact is, I can say that Light Yagami is Kira and Misa Amane is the second Kira. But it won’t be enough to solve the case. And that’s why I’m a little depressed. Is that so unreasonable?”
Light wasted no time retorting, “Yes. Yes, it is. Besides, you said it yourself. It is as if you won’t be satisfied unless I am Kira.”
L considered this, briefly averting his gaze from him. “Hmm…I won’t be satisfied unless you’re Kira.” Another lapse into silence. “Well… there may be some truth to that. In fact, now that you mention it… you’re right.” Now L’s stare were more piercing than ever. “I think I wanted you to be Kira.”
Before you could even blink, Light’s fist had slammed into L’s eye, but the detective seemed unfazed this time.
“As I said before, an eye for an eye,” he rasped. “I’m a lot stronger than I look, you know.” And he raised his fist to return the blow.
But now you’d had enough of watching these two grown men brawling like middle school kids. They’d ignored your previous words and warnings, but they would soon learn that that was a mistake.
So, as the two went flying into the wall yet again, you darted in between them at a speed you didn’t realize you were capable of, took hold of the handcuff chain, and just when Light moved to hit L again, you yanked as hard as you could on the cold metal chain. The combined force of your hand and the growing strain on the chain from Light and L jerking it around made it snap right in two, sending the detective and scholar positively soaring in opposite directions. Misa let out a shriek and rushed to Light’s side as he slammed into the floor with a very painful-sounding thump, but you didn’t move to help L when he barreled into the wall for what had to be the fifth time in the past ten minutes.
When the chaos finally settled, both men were still on the ground, wincing from their collective injuries and struggling to get up. One of the legs on the table that Light had rammed into was actually beginning to splinter, and the cake L had dropped earlier had made a big mess on the carpet what with Misa stepping on it and trailing it across the carpet. The wall L was flopped over against had a gaping hole where L’s head had hit, the cracks spreading from behind L’s hair like some twisted spider. And finally, there was you, standing exactly where you’d been standing with the severed chain dangling from your closed hand, staring at the metal like you yourself couldn’t believe what had just happened.
It was totally silent for at least five minutes straight. Nobody moved, taking in all that had just occurred and the damage in the room. But the awestruck silence was disrupted when the phone, which had slid off of the table near the spot where L was sprawled out now, rang.
At first, nobody moved to answer it. But when it kept ringing, L at last picked it up, holding it between his index finger and thumb like always.
“Hello?”
The voice from the phone was unclear from where you were, but you could tell it was Matsuda.
“Ryuzaki, I’ve got great news!” he chirped, his overly enthusiastic voice making you cringe slightly. “Misa-misa’s number one in “Eighteen" magazine’s reader popularity poll!”
Matsuda was usually too invested in totally useless things at totally inappropriate times, but this time you could see right through him. He’d heard the chaos going on upstairs and had wanted to try and de-escalate the situation, so here he was with this stupid stuff.
To yourself, you muttered, “Jesus Christ.”
L blinked at you and then blinked at the phone. “Ah. I see.”
“And get this- she’s gonna get a lead role in Nishinaka’s next movie!”
Light’s head popped over the toppled table, face bruised. “What was that?”
L promptly dropped the phone to the ground . “Matsuda’s acting stupid again.”
Light chuckled dryly. “Well… that is his specialty.”
Yet another moment of silence. Then, a tiny voice from the phone L hadn’t hung up properly: “I can hear you, you know.”
Tumblr media
It had been several hours since the earlier incident, everyone from the task force having gone home and Misa sleeping in her hotel room. You and L were the only ones still awake, perched beside each other on the desk in front of the monitors; the normally bustling center of operations was now quiet and dark. Since you’d broken the handcuffs earlier and L had yet to replace them, you got to be alone with him for the first time in a while.
“You know,” L spoke up, breaking the calm silence, “I wasn’t expecting you to jump into me and Light’s brawl like that earlier.”
You gave L a look. “How could I not? You were both embarrassing yourselves. That was completely senseless behavior. I wasn’t expecting you to indulge Light’s impulsivity.”
L cocked his head at you a little questioningly. “You sound pretty ticked off.”
You blinked, realizing that he was right, and let out a long exhale. When you spoke again, your tone was softer, but your words were still harsh. “Being around Misa all day irritates me, anyway. You both acting like idiots didn’t really help my mood. And now we’ve got a busted-up hotel room with a hole in the wall and the broken table.”
L considered this, then nodded slowly. “Yes. That hurt, by the way.”
You let out a wry chuckle. “I bet.”
Neither of you spoke again for a little while- but you still felt L place his hand on your thigh.
“What are you doing?”
L’s eyes lifted to meet yours. “I figured you’d want to unwind a little. Is that alright?”
You paused for a moment. “Yes,” you replied airily, squirming just a little bit with your legs swinging from the table.
Nodding to himself, L moved his hand up your thigh, opting not to indulge in foreplay and teasing. Brazenly, he flipped up the lacy hem of the slip you’d put on to go to bed, and you felt a shiver go down your spine when his hand made direct contact with your skin. Carefully, he reached for your panties and tugged them out of his way before dipping two slender fingers in your rapidly dampening entrance, making your back arch slightly.
You bit your lower lip to stifle any sounds lest you two alert Watari, making the only audible noise in the room the wet sounds of L gently moving his fingers back and forth, slightly curled and brushing against your sweet spot. Despite your efforts to silence yourself, as he slowly picked up the pace and you neared your climax, a few breathy moans escaped your lips anyway, and you could feel the familiar heat building in your lower body and spreading across your face.
You allowed yourself a broken gasp when you came, a small amount of thin, sticky liquid flooding from your dripping hole and coating L’s fingers. His fingers slowed inside you, helping you make the most of your orgasm, and when you’d finally come down from your high he gingerly withdrew his fingers and watched the wetness pool beneath your slip and dampen your underwear. Then he promptly popped his index and middle fingers into his mouth, his tongue swirling around them and licking your taste from his skin.
After a minute or two L turned to look at you again. “Well, you look like you feel better.”
You instinctively dropped your eyes, uselessly fighting the color spreading across your cheeks. “I guess I do…”
L’s eyes were wide as he stared at you, his expression betraying nothing. “No matter how many times we do this, you’re always so flustered after you finish…”
You groaned and dropped your face into your hands, and L laughed.

Felix Kranken + The Pumpkin Rabbit theory.
I feel like a majority of the fandom doesn't know that Martin Walls released a game in 2019 called "The night of the living Robot"
Maybe ya'll do and im just late to the party
Tumblr media
After looking at playthroughs on youtube, it seems very unfinished and very buggy.
But the game is actually the first time The Pumpkin Rabbit is introduced. Not "The Mysterious House".
Tumblr media
This game features Felix having very bad nightmares during Halloween specifically about the Pumpkin Rabbit. Nightmares so bad that he went to see a doctor.
I think that The Mysterious House is one of Felix's nightmares too and i'll get back to that in a bit. I think it would make sense since some characters in that short represent the ones in Bon's Burgers like Bon the Rabbit, Sha the Sheep and Billy.
Theres one theory that The Pumpkin Rabbit is just an alternate version of Bon.
So I have a theory that after Felix covered the deaths of Ed and Molly and after the disappearance of Jack he started having awful nightmares due to his guilt.
Since Bon is controlled by some violent angry spirit I feel like this spirit also manifested itself into Felix's dreams into the Pumpkin Rabbit as a way to torment Felix.
"But how could this be related to The Mysterious House ?"
While The Mysterious House isn't something in the game I feel like it can be interpreted as one of Felix's dreams:
Felix killed Jacks two younger children in a car accident and covered his track by burying them in the woods.
The Pumpkin Rabbit murders two children on Halloween. Basically, The Pumpkin Rabbit torments Felix with his own guilt about the deaths of Ed and Molly, and is mocking him with it in his sadistic nature.
But yeah!!! This is my theory. Lemme know what you think!
PS: I think Martin Walls mentioned a while back that The Mysterious House isn't a canon thing or smth like that but I think it's fun to think about.
EDIT:
Ok so look at these two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their models are quite the same but just recoloured. The Pumpkin Rabbit seems to be a bit thicker and taller.
But anyways, the theory that the spirit controlling Bon appeared in Felix's dreams as The Pumpkin Rabbit make more sense since their models are quite so similar.
EDIT 2: (Sorry for the edits I just have so many ideas)
Take what im abt to say with a pinch of salt.
Lets go with the theory that Jack is possessing Bon and Bons spirit is putting itself in Felix's dreams to haunt him.
Martin Walls voices both Jack Walten and The Pumpkin Rabbit. Bon and PR have the same model but PR is slightly bigger.
It is possible that Jack Walten could be haunting Felix. But we don't actually know what happened to Jack.
But yeah, this should be the end I hope. I had fun with this theory and I hope you others enjoyed it too!
(Reblogs are appreciated)

→Imagine: You don't have a vision but insist on helping them
✦Some Imagines where reader is a normal civilian, but tags along with their favorite genshin character promising that they can be helpful in their own way! ✦Characters: Aether, Kaeya, Childe, and of course Y/N! ✦Lemme know if you want this with other characters and if so which ones? :^) ✦Will be posting a part two ;)
✦Aether
The relatively calm male couldn't help but feel a bit antsy as he watched you, sure you were just outside of Mondstadt's walls, but it wasn't uncommon for hillichurls to build camps across these vast hills. With a gleeful smile, you turned towards the blond and made your way back to him.
"God, it's great outside of the city. We should go on an adventure together Aether! How about to Watatsumi Island to get a Sango Pearl?" Your voice was shrill with excitement, the thought of going on a trip with your favorite face was enough to have you going octaves above your normal pitch.
Aether on the other hand was noticeably hesitant and his face struggled to hide it, he could already see you being chased by a group of Specters. While the sight would be amusing, he knew that you didn't have the ability to fight off something like that so easily. Before he responded with an excuse you shot him a dirty look, arms crossing over your chest in annoyance.
"I won't slow you down! It'll be fun!"
With a sigh, Aether hesitantly agreed, "Alright, [Y/N], fine. Let's hope it'll be fun."
And within a few weeks, the two of you were stepping off a boat onto the shores of Watatsumi Island. As Aether started to lead the way, silently offering you a hand which you gladly took, he kept a watchful eye out for any number of enemies that could be around.
Reaching into your back pocket, you pulled out a map of Watatsumi Island that you had paid more mora for than you would like to admit. Examining the page, your face couldn't help but to turn into a bit of confusion, "Aether, I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but aren't we going the wrong way?"
This question caused the traveler to stop in their tracks and turn to face you, realizing that you had a map and a sheepish expression showing up on their features for a moment. "Well, I'm used to using the teleport waypoints, so honestly I'm not that great at directions..," he trailed off for a moment as he tried to explain himself. "Plus, Paimon normally helps lead me the right way but she said she would let just us have this adventure."
You couldn't help but crack a small smile as you led him towards the correct path, after an excruciatingly long walk and getting splashed by some of the running water, you finally found what you came for. You knelt beside the beautiful white pearls, collecting one and then holding out one for the blond, a smile that caused his heart to race forming on your features.
"I guess I'm pretty useful to have around huh Mr.Traveler?"
With no hesitation, he replied while taking the pearl and praying that you didn't notice the blush on his cheeks, "You should join me more often."
Glancing back up at the male you tilted your head, almost in that confused puppy way before letting out a laugh and agreeing, "I'll follow you anywhere Aether."
✦Kaeya
It had been three months. Three long, annoying months that you had been relentlessly badgering Kaeya about letting you join him on a commission.
"Archons, Kaeya! Please, I promise I'm not useless, let me join you, I promise I won't let you down!" You had said this spiel about a thousand times and honestly, Kaeya had grown tired of hearing it. He wanted his sweet Y/N back, the one who didn't want to put her life in danger just to prove a point.
"Love, I've told you already it's not happening, until you can take me down yourself alone in battle, you're not coming," his words themselves weren't harsh, but you could tell by the temperature drop in the room that Kaeya didn't want to hear anymore of this conversation and that you weren't going to have you way. Kaeya never expected you to take him so literally.
For a split second, you thought about grabbing a butterknife and challenging him here, inside your beloved home, but you knew that you needed much more training before you could take the calvary caption with such a simple weapon. With a huff of frustration, you stood, "Fine!"
"Fine!" Kaeya quickly retorted back as you made your way out of the home, not caring that he still could spend about an hour with you before heading into headquarters for whatever work was deemed necessary for today. At a quick pace, you made your way through the city of freedom, grumbling about how your partner looked dumb with his eyepatch and other various complaints to blow off steam until you found who you were looking for.
"Amber," You called as you approached the outrider who seemed to be enjoying a meal at Good Hunter, "Your meals are on me for the whole month if you can do me a favor."
Truly this was all the convincing that it took.
It had been around three months, and since that day you hadn't asking Kaeya again about going on a commission with him, which had him thinking that he didn't have anymore worries but whenever you started leaving the house earlier and coming home later, he couldn't help but to fear that he had pissed you off enough to see another man!
One morning, as you went to climb out of bed, he grabbed your wrist softly, no malice intention just genuine concern and love. "My love, have I angered you? You seem to be avoiding me and I haven't been able to hold you in ages. Have you decided to replace me already?"
It was clear that he was trying to pass these words off as a joke, but his eyes showed that he was truly worried and the fact that he didn't let you go only furthered your belief. Sighing as you pulled your arm from your grasp, you ruffled his hair and pressed a cheek to his forehead before turning around and pulling clothes over your nude frame. "It isn't and would never be like that," pausing for a moment as you tied your hair back from within your face, "We are simply both busy, don't worry."
With that simple answer you stood and finished getting ready before leaving, causing Kaeya to stay sprawled on the bed wondering what his partner was busy with and why it kept them from him for so long.
As per every morning this past three months, you and Amber stood in Wolvendom, you held a bow in your hands that had caused calluses along your previously untainted fingertips. Originally, Amber had to stand behind you and support you with each draw of the string, but now she said that she was proud to call you her student. With each target that you hit, the pride in your chest swelled before you turned towards the knight, revealing your plan to your friend.
"Alright, I think I'm ready," you almost squealed, happily shaking a spare arrow in your hand as Amber show you an almost confused look. "Huh? I thought you said this was for self defense?"
Both of you began to pack of your training equipment, trying to make sure that you didn't leave any mess within the forest, "Well, yeah, that, and I wanna defeat Kaeya in a duel," your answer was as a matter of fact. A loud "Huh?" caused you to yelp, dropping what you had previously picked up, "You're trying to fight him? [Y/N] you're going to get yourself killed! I mean, he wouldn't kill you, but you won't win!"
Hearing your friend, your supporter say this caused you to do a double take, "Uh, yes I will. I'm going to challenge him whenever we get back. You said I did good!" Amber tried to give you a thumbs up, but it was clear by the awkward smile on her face that your 'friend' had little faith in you.
Before long, Amber realized there was no talking you out of this, so reluctantly she led you back to Mondstadt and you made your way towards the Knights of Favonius headquarters, bow in hand and determination in your eyes. As you entered the building, you felt a bit out of place, but made your way towards where you knew Kaeya's office was and took a breath to calm your nerves before knocking on the door with a white knuckled fist.
"Come In," the voice was muffled, but you recognized it immediatelt as your beloved and opened the door, and coughed to make him look up at you. His eyes widened for a moment, "Wha-" "Kaeya Alberich," you started with full resolve staring at him in the eyes, " I challenge you to a duel."
Standing, Kaeye tied back his blue hair, "I'm not gunna go easy on you," he mused as he walked towards you, "I don't want you to," You snapped back quickly only furthering his amusement at your resolve. You both made your way outside of the headquarters towards the sparring arena, where amber had already prepared a seat for herself and await eagerly.
"She's the one who trained you?" Kaeya practically hummed as he cracked his knuckles, "That explains a lot about these past months."
"It's your fault! You acted like I was useless to you and I wouldn't be able to help you on adventures, so I'll prove to you that I can," your face couldn't help but raise a bit in hidden frustration, you were fumbling with the bow and making sure that you had more than a needed supply of arrows. Now that it was finally time to prove yourself, you felt more nervous than you had ever imagined.
As the silence grew, you each took a few steps away from each other, seeming to not breath for a few moments until Kaeya gave you a steady nod, signaling that he was letting you attack first.
Quickly taking aim, you shot a few arrows at the one you loved, he was exactly avoiding them, not bothering to make advancements towards you nor to even grant you the satisfaction of breaking a sweat. He knew this bothered you, you could tell by the smirk on his lips, you could also tell that he was enjoying bothering you. You wanted to aim for his head, but if it actually hit the target you would regret that.
"Babe," he teased as he side stepped an arrow before quickly dashing towards you, his sword slashing towards where you had been standing a few seconds ago. "This is almost boring," he lamented before seemingly deciding to put an end to this duel. He started to attack continuously, his sword getting too close to you for comfort on multiple occasions.
Dodging and darting from each swipe was becoming tiring, but you just needed to tire him out a bit longer. As the male shot a blast of ice towards you, your cool skin wanted to refuse to move for a moment, but you were quick to keep your composure and narrowly avoid a swipe from his sword. "Too slow Alberich," you teased, purposefully pushing his buttons.
This spurred on quick burst of attacks and more icy burst get it? thrown your way, he had obviously miscalculated your efforts and was paying for that. Beads of sweat were dripping from his forehead, he took a moment with a staggered stance, taking your chance, you quickly shot an arrow towards the male, hitting your target.
"You missed, dummy," he said affectionately, relishing in the second to tease you, but what he didn't realize was that you had shot into his scarf, pinning it and a part of his clothes into the ground. "I didn't, dummy," you retorted as you sprinted towards the man with lightning speed, dropping, and kicking his feet from beneath him, leading him to fall, earning a groan from the male as his head hit the ground and was unable to pull himself up due to the arrow securing his clothes into the ground.
With precision, you took aim and shot into the baggy part of his clothes to pin him into the ground without actually piercing his skin. Your only spectator, Amber cheered loudly, "I trained her!" laughing erupting from her lips and you couldn't help but to smile down at the male who you had essentially pinned to the ground.
"Looks like I won," You gloated as you pulled the arrows from the ground, freeing your lover, "You owe me my prize."
Kaeya stood, brushing himself off quickly, secretly a bit upset at losing and at the new holes in his uniform but fair was fair. "Well, [Y/N], I can't reward you here, doll," his sultry voice was deep, running with suggestive undertones and you shot him a look and shook your head.
"No! Take me on a quest! An adventure! A commission!" You demanded, your glare strong enough to scare even the strongest gods that roamed Teyvat. It took swallowing his pride, but Kaeya nodded.
"You're right love, will you join me on my patrols tomorrow?' He asked in the sweetest voice he could muster after being defeated, his hands reaching for your waist and facing you head on.
You smirked, looking up at this handsome man and decided to return some of your boyfriend's medicine, "Yeah, it seems like you could really use my help. I know you're not that strong."
Before he could complain, you shut him up with a kiss, your lips meeting his for what seemed like the first time in ages. Though they were a little dry from his heavy breathing, you relished in this small moment before parting, but Kaeya was quick to put his hands on your cheeks and pulled you in for yet another.
✦Childe
Holding a broom in your hands, you swept the ground meticulously making sure that your home was spotless. While your home wasn't that much, you felt pride in the story that was being written for you and your love, while your marriage was still very young it was exciting to see what life had in store for the both of you. As you reflected on your life with a happy heart, a familiar smell drifted into the air and a small curse left your lips as your set the broom down before rushing into the kitchen.
Haphazardly, you pulled the sweet madame out of the oven and prayed that you hadn't burnt her into a crisp in your effort of multitasking. It seems luck was on your side because you could hardly tell it was in there for any longer than it should've been, so you knew that Childe would be none the wiser. As you checked the clock on the wall you sighed, anxiously awaiting for your husband to return home.
As much as you loved him, you sure didn't love his job. Certainly, you were beyond grateful for your husband providing for you, but you just wish that he could've went a different path in life. While you promised to love him no matter what, you simply wish you could have given him an easier life and a safer job. It didn't help your worries knowing that you would be useless if he needed help, sure there were many that he could depend on him, but you wanted him to depend on you too.
In time to catch you from these darker thoughts, your husband entered the home, a smile on his face as soon as he saw you with a fresh meal on the table.
"My wife," he hums, quickly making his way to you and wrapping his arms around you and giving you a warm hug, your spirits instantly lifted"I'm homeee!" Forgetting whatever thoughts had plagued your mind before, you tilted your head up, closing your eyes, a silent request that Childe happily obliged. Pressing a soft kiss onto your lips, he took a moment to look over your soft features and rub a thumb on your cheek.
"Welcome home handsome," you mumbled softly before pulling away and grabbing two plates and silverware for you both and making a plate for you both to eat. "Was work okay for you today?"
Childe had sat at the table by the time you had asked the question, but it seemed you struck a nerve by asking and he hesitated a moment, "Ah, that reminds me baby, tomorrow I have important work to do so it might take longer than normal for me to come home. Please don't worry about making me dinner or staying up for me."
His words left a frown falling onto your features, something felt weird about what he was saying, but you just couldn't explain what was weird about it. "Ah, I see," your response was short, which immediately caused Childe to stop eating and look at you with a sad smile, "Don't miss me too much, I'll be back to love on you soon."
Once again, his words just left like he was trying to say something with a hidden meaning, but you didn't want to question him too much. "As long as you'll be okay and back to me," you responded softly reaching out for his hand and giving it a soft squeeze.
The rest of the night was uneventful, Childe helping you clean up after dinner and him trying to talk you into getting a puppy. Before long, your husband was yawning beside you on the couch, causing you to giggle a bit and lead him to bed, the two of you spending a loving night together with Childe demanding that you cuddle even though he was much too warm to be cuddling so close underneath the covers.
Your sleep was rudely awakened, just as the sun began to peak into the room, your eyes opened automatically and you felt the need to expel the contents of your stomach. Childe followed you, albeit a few minutes behind and groggily rubbing your back, "There, there.." he mumbled, his bed head looking worse than normal this morning, not that you could say much since you were throwing up and that definitely wasn't the normal.
"Was your chicken that bad love?" He teased after you had refreshed yourself and returned to the bedroom where he had went just a few moments before. You simply shook your head no as an answer, causing Childe to frown in concern, his arms wrapping around you from behind him and resting his chin on top of your head. "It's gunna be okay, love," he assured you, trying to make you feel better about being sick and about him leaving.
You couldn't help but wonder if your sickness was caused by anxiety over Childe leaving or if you simply had just ate something weird yesterday but didn't notice it. Either way, you happily pressed yourself into him for as long as you could, which wasn't that long due to him slowly peeling himself from you then making his way towards the closet and changing into his uniform.
Once you were both dressed, you sent him off at the door with a kiss and a small packed sack lunch. The day seemed to pass so slow, your stomach mildly aching the whole time. It was truly frustrating, how was it fair that you were left here to fear for your husband? It was obvious that something was off last night, but you knew better than to ask him, knowing that he wouldn't tell you in fear of worrying you or the fact that you would try to tag along (which you had definitely done in the past).
It was well into the night, your eyes were strained as you sipped some tea desperately awaiting on your husband to come home whenever you had a loud knock on your door. This was the type of knock to shake the walls of the house, you were quick to scramble of the couch and dust yourself off as you went to the door, opening it without a second thought as your eyes widened a bit whenever you looked upon who was in front of you.
"Uh, Good afternoon..?" you greeted with a bit of hesitation, in front of you was Sayu, the small ninja who was known for her amazing skill of sleeping but also being ridiculously sneaky.
"No time to talk! Gotta help Childe!" she was quick to grab your hand, desperately pulling you out of the house, your bare feet hitting the cold Liyue cobblestone with each step she forced you to take. While you followed her at a breakneck pace, you couldn't stop the questions. "Sayu, what's happening? What's wrong with Childe?! Is he hurt?" She didn't break the pace she had as she answered you, taking you from the city and into the dark forest and mountains of the nation.
"Trouble! Wanted to leave for your safety and to start a family! La Signora is punishing him for abandonment of his title!" Guilt wrecked your body immediately, almost to the point of you immediately becoming nauseous. He didn't have to do that for you, he knew the risks all to well. Taking a few rapid breaths to try to get coherent thoughts to your brain and refill your lungs you responded after a few moments of silent guilt.
"Where is he? Why were you even there? Don't tell me you're joining the Fatui." As you spoke, she took a sharp turn, almost causing you to lose your balance but you were doing amazing to even being able to keep place with the anemo vision holder.
"No, spying for Shuumatsuban. I can't help you because they'll know I was spying, so figure out what to do."
After what felt like too long, you and Sayu approach a dark looking cave and she pointed there before giving a small yawn, "There, down there they are," she directed you without any further help and after you thanked her for the help she did give and told her that she could leave since you weren't sure of the danger that lurked.
Taking you up on the offer, Sayu took off without much to say other than wishing you luck. As you glanced into the cave, your anxiety overcame you once again and you tied your hair back before jumping into the dark chasm.
As you felt along the dark, damp walls you could already hear the noises of struggling and the sound of skin being hit.
"Tsk, Childe, I know you know better than to do what you're doing now," said a degrading voice before there was another noise and then Childe's distinct cough. "There's no having a family in this business. You can't have your title back, but if you end things and dispose of the problem then maybe we'll accept you again into our ranks and you can start over."
You waited for a moment, your breath caught in your throat as you listened for his reply, Childe wasn't stupid and he knew better than to take such a dumb deal. While this harbinger did enjoy bloodshed he would never bring it upon his wife, "And I think you know better than to think I would choose the Fatui over my wife." His voice was strained and cracking with almost each word, but you could feel the resolve within it. His bindings were too tight and his delusion had been shattered and removed from his possession, leaving him with only his hydro vision and bound to be tortured and likely killed.
Childe hisses as his skin immediately feels the burn of frostbite on his exposed skin, but Signora pressed her hand harder into his skin causing him to let out a pained groan. Without much of a plan, you grabbed a rock and immediately ran from where you had been hiding, "Stop it! Get your hands off of him!" Your hand still grasped the rock, which in all honesty wasn't that big but was your only weapon at your disposal. You had never been trained with any weaponry but were desperate to defend the one who would've gladly done the same for you.
Childe immediately shot his head up, thinking that he must have died and passed on to be hearing your voice here of all places, but in front of him there you were. Hair tied back, bags underneath your eyes from stress or sleep deprivation, pajamas on, and no shoes. He was horrified, he knew that he would likely die, but his death was okay to him, but knowing you would likely die as well caused him to cry out. "Leave! [Y/N], do not come any closer! Go back home now!" he struggled against his restraints violently, his wrists, arms, and legs now bleeding from the severe rope burn that he was causing himself.
Signora let out a dark giggle, turning to face you, her frame easily towering over you and her glare cold enough to chill your bone. "How cute," she sneered, "You're trying to protect him? With a rock?" she covered her mouth as she looked you up and down, knowing that you were easily defeated. "Pretty girl, I'll kill your husband first then you, okay?" she assured you with a faux soothing tone before stepping towards Childe, for once his expression showing something close to near madness as he spat at her.
"Don't lay a fucking finger on [Y/N]! Get the fuck out of here now [Y/N]!" The blood from his rope burns were steadily dripping onto the caves ground, but it wasn't anywhere near getting him out of his restraints. Childe's words were ringing in your ears, he was still screaming at you as Signora lifted her spell book to cast an enchantment upon your beloved.
Taking aim, you threw the rock at her which literally did fuck all. It simply hit her with a 'thunk' and fell to the ground and she scoffed before starting to recite a spell. Desperation filling your bones, you run to her and grab her arm, trying to pull her away from him.
"Leave him alone!” You near growl through gritted teeth, trying to take the book from within her hands, causing her to send a sharp pulse of icy blast on you sending you flying against the cave wall. Childe's shouting something but your ears are ringing, you're not focused on him right now anyways. Your determination is only on making sure that you stop that tall bitch from taking your man.
As a white ice starts to form within her hands and Childe starts to brace for impact, you are in a momentary haze as you realize that you are hearing a voice in your head commending you for your actions and that this should help you. In a momentarily shock, you regain your senses and look down at your hands and.. it's an electro vision.
Quickly realizing that you don't have much time, you immediately stand and call out, "Signora!" she once again doesn't spare you a passing glance but that was okay with you, you weren't sure how this worked anyways. Summoning all the strength in your body, you ran towards the woman, sparks and crackles emitting from your palms as you shoved her with all of your might.
"Don't fucking touch him again!" you couldn't help your rage as you screamed at the woman, sparks emitting from your skin and the vision glowing brightly from your pajama pants pocket. Sending a shock as hard as you could to the woman's head before she recovered, your attack hit its target and she seemed to go out cold immediately.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.." Your words were frantic as you ran to your husband, his wounds deep from the torture that they had inflicted on him before you were able to make it to him. "Childe, baby, we have to get you to a healer right now..," you muttered worriedly overlooking the deep gashes in his skin.
Childe didn't care much about his wounds though, he simply was shooting you a glare. As you unbound him, he immediately caressed your face, looking at the small cut on your cheek from when you had hit the wall and the blood that had came with it.
You wouldn't tell anyone if they asked, but there were tears, he was crying as he examined you from head to toe, making note of the splinters and scratches on your feet from running here barefoot. "How could you do that to me?' he muttered as he sniffled, obviously trying to contain his emotion, not wanting to look at anything else other than you right now. "I couldn't help you, I thought I would die and leave you defenseless against them. Don't ever do this to me again please."
He sounded almost broken, and for a second you forgot the urgency of his wounds and just held him, not caring that his blood seeped onto your skin. You both cried, the fear of losing each other too fresh in your minds for you to easily express your words for one another, so it was easier to just hold one another.
"Childe, what will we do? The Fatui know you wish to leave, you will be hunted for betrayal," you peppered kisses over his skin as this question lingered in the air for a few moments too long. The ginger looked up at you with a soft sigh, grabbing your hand to place a kiss on the skin.
"Well, you do have that nifty little thing now," he mumbled referring to the purple vision in your pocket, "we could be a pretty cool couple on the run you think? I trust you to protect me." For a second you were surprised to hear those words leave his lips, you never once thought that he relied on you like that. "Really?" you asked in almost a whisper.
"Love," he looked at you with red eyes that showed the signs of the tears that had fallen from them just moments ago, "You saved my life, if I couldn't trust you I'd be a blind man."

:^) ✦ Pt 2 will be linked here

"It's gunna be okay, love," he assured you, trying to make you feel better about being sick and about him leaving.
