🇮🇹 Le Legend Cars sono una classe di gare automobilistiche nata nell’aprile del 1992 al Charlotte Motor Speedway. Queste vetture, ispirate alle automobili americane degli anni 1930 e 1940, sono versioni in fibra di vetro in scala 5/8 e sono diventate uno dei segmenti di sport motoristici in più rapida crescita grazie al loro costo contenuto e accessibile. In Italia, la presenza delle Legend Cars è stata affermata grazie all’importatore e distributore ufficiale, Giuseppe Adriano Monti, e al Motodromo di Castelletto di Branduzzo, sede operativa italiana​

Fino ad oggi, in Italia sono state vendute 80 Legend Cars, di cui 60 con motori a quattro cilindri e 20 con motori Yamaha a tre cilindri. Il successo di questa categoria è confermato anche dalle vittorie ottenute nella categoria Semi-Pro da piloti come Kevin Liguori. Le Legend Cars hanno conformità tecniche identiche in ogni parte del mondo, il che assicura una competizione equa e accessibile a tutti​.​​

Le competizioni di Legend Cars sono divise in varie classi, tra cui Under e Over 23, Over 45, Femminile e una nuova categoria Junior per giovani talenti tra i 15 e i 18 anni. La semplicità costruttiva delle vetture permette loro di correre in ogni condizione, aumentando il divertimento e garantendo al contempo la sicurezza, grazie a caratteristiche come serbatoi di benzina da 10 litri, gabbie protettive e altre componenti omologate dalla FIA.

🇬🇧 Legend Cars are a class of automotive races that originated in April 1992 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. These vehicles, inspired by American cars from the 1930s and 1940s, are 5/8 scale fiberglass versions and have become one of the fastest-growing segments in motorsports due to their affordability. In Italy, the presence of Legend Cars has been established thanks to the official importer and distributor, Giuseppe Adriano Monti, and the operational base at the Motodromo di Castelletto di Branduzzo.

To date, 80 Legend Cars have been sold in Italy, 60 with four-cylinder engines and 20 with three-cylinder Yamaha engines. The success of this category is also confirmed by victories in the Semi-Pro category by drivers such as Kevin Liguori. Legend Cars have identical technical compliance worldwide, ensuring fair and accessible competition for all.

Legend Cars competitions are divided into various classes, including Under and Over 23, Over 45, Female, and a new Junior category for young talents between 15 and 18 years old. The simple construction of the vehicles allows them to race in any condition, increasing enjoyment while ensuring safety, thanks to features like 10-liter fuel tanks, protective cages, and other FIA-approved components.

La voiture, décrite comme une "berlinette" sur les dépliants publicitaires, étrennait une nouvelle formule coupé/familiale, avec un coffre beaucoup plus grand que celui de la 128 Sport précédente et doté d'un large hayon, comme sur la seconde version de la Fiat 127. Les feux arrière comprennent trois éléments ovoïdes originaux très modernes. La face avant reprend le style des anciennes versions "SL" avec quatre phares ronds. Les vitres sont teintées et les ceintures de sécurité sont à enrouleur, une première à ce niveau de voiture. Les motorisations 1100 et 1300 ont bénéficié d'améliorations pour encore abaisser la consommation. La voiture restera inchangée jusqu'en 1978 quand Fiat lancera une "Série Spéciale", la 128 3P dotée d'un large spoiler arrière placé sous la lunette, des appuis-têtes de série aux places avant et les pare-chocs, les poignées, rétroviseurs et cornières en noir opaque. Une bande adhésive avec la mention "SPORT" décore les bas de caisse, la jupe arrière et le capot moteur. Cette version sera aussi baptisée "128 GXL" dans certains pays.
