flame
* moth to flame  your destiny wafts, drawn by an elemental warmth ...no escaping it.
neither dust, mist nor derelection serves as a denier
& that wick - eternally bright
burns - though i'd just as soon say  it bubbles out of you
& i'm entranced very time, flame, ...damn these singed wings.
* 5/23 -  lebuc - flame

Chat GPT sussed me out!
Chat GPT, analyze some of my January poems, please:
“These poems explore themes of self-reflection, societal issues, and the human condition.
The first poem, "mili-you", seems to reflect on the idea of individualism and how it can be both positive and negative for society.
The second poem, "nobody has to", encourages the reader to explore their own creative spirit and not be constrained by societal expectations.
The third poem, "window", suggests that our perception of reality is limited and that there is more to explore and discover.
The fourth poem, "skin i'm in", emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and being present in the moment, despite outside distractions.
The last poem, "those without hope" focuses on empathy and understanding for those who are struggling and feeling hopeless. All of these poems have a contemplative and introspective tone and convey a sense of searching for deeper meaning in life.”
You got it! (...or me!)

Hints
When it comes
In another form
From what your eyes can see,
Let your heart feel;
For it might not be
the reply you wanted,
Yet, the call you get
Is equal love, if not more
It's love language 101
Just focus and feel

The still people
We
are
the hardened
people
behind
the world,
our
bare
wants
are
the world's
hard
face.
But
who
are
the quiet
people
behind
the ocean
that
glides
without
a sound
across
the sand?
Who
are
the still
people
behind
the clouds
that
touch
the horizon,
the
most
distant
the
stillest?

The circle
Keeps going on and on
No boundries, yet infinite edges
difficult to escape
endless torment inside
It won't break
Till you stop taking part
The circle won't break
Till you take a step back

5 things that make me happy * the expansive western sky at dusk
cool, fresh mojitos
grilled food from backyard patios
be-bop jazz, neo-soul, R&B, 90's rap, & classic rock musics
'dancing' vis-a vis. *
@lebuc and @el-secreto-emporium tagged me way back in the Cambrian era. ooops.
1. Rabbits! There are a lot of young rabbits at this park who like to cruise by in the evening and stuff themselves on the grass behind my caravan. I am spending a lot of evenings just watching the rabbits—and not getting much else done😂
2. I still have several bags of Community Coffee’s Christmas Blend! I looooove their Chrismas blend, so I stocked up and I am really enjoying Christmas—in the summer!
3. I haz a donut pan now, so I can make baked donuts!
4. I taught myself how to make bánh mì this summer. Confession time! I cheat and add a little teriyaki sauce to the meat😉
5. Tumblr! TWC community has written sooooo many amazing poems written this summer! I had to give up my 700+books of poetry when I hit the road, but thanks to y’all I never have a lack of great poetry to read❤️❤️❤️!!!

A Good Place To Be
The aura of "being in a "good space" is an overpowering one. But what exactly does it entail mentally, emotionally and physically.
Is it some kind of assessment of my sanity? If so, who is the regulator? Society... And upon what standard or benchmark do they go by.
To what extent should society influence my decision making? Where's the middle ground here?!
Is my series of unexpected public mental or emotional break downs included...
Can somebody please tell me! Because, I am struggling on, "how to be"!

embodiment of a dream
* apprenticeship preceeds any notion of skill or its flaunting as an impresario,
a knowing master of the game gaining influence & accolades by the pound or bushel, whichever's apt.
how long, how many years, how many lifetimes must it necessarily take
to attain, to boldly go* forth & claim the stake rightly owned by your 10,000 (...hours)
plus the fortitude to so do for so long in the strong belief that
one day, you'll live to see, to be...
the living embodiment of a dream:
your reality for all the world to see. how long indeed? * 6/23 - lebuc - embodiment of a dream
* we all know from whence this is...

just some random words about the frank martin prelude....
not too boring i hope.  if we take away expectations of grammar spelling punctuation word order etc etc from written language-how would we create forward motion or drama or whatever it is i am trying to express right now?.... SO how did mr martin(in 1936) accomplish all that in a four minute guitar piece? the “language” used is 12-tone but we still get momentum and an almost romantic story-telling. DAMN THAT*S GOOD (now go listen to it again ok?) if i was a writing  prompt blog i would suggest writing to that-might be a kind of fun CHEERS

Love Language
They say-
In translation, the meaning is lost.
What you convey,
Won't be what is heard...
If the language of your soul
Is foreign to the heart of those,
Who can hear the calm heartbeat
But not the silent chaos.

Personification
Cars rushed to and fro like blood in her veins
like red blood cells and platelets they were different colors and sizes
The mornings, mellow and dim, brought radios playing slow songs
Like ears awoken to the song of a bird
The afternoon brought a deafening raucous, full of packed streets and angry men.
With the sun over head, light rays reflect hard work on the heads of her cells.
Pompous markets polluted her lungs in the grandest of ways. The black ash left behind in her lungs coupled with the dust and trash she inhaled caused her to cough.
She coughed and spat out small insignificant cells
The evening brought politicians back to their mansions and wealth as they sat in their homes boasting of a higher intelligence
Commanding and instructing her parts. Her brain showed no mercy to its components
But when the sun set the dark puts a cloak over her debauchery
With spread legs her cells stimulated her as the clubs and bars swole and swole until it burst
Spilling cells everywhere
The soundest hours of the night put her into a slumber so sound and beautiful as death.
Blood ceased flowing and her brain slept. Now all was even for no matter where in her body they reside, all cells slept soundly awaiting the morning sun.

The shoe rack
When I was in 12th,
or maybe in 10th
You came home one day
and showed me the shoe rack
It was a new one
Wooden and no paint
I got so excited
When you said-
-Do you want one?
-it's just a 100 bucks
Yes, ofcourse,
So you got me one
And I neatly arranged shoes
By the door
In our old little house.
The shoe rack is still there
In the backspace of our now home
Near the washing machine
Not wooden anymore
We painted it red
There are no shoes in it
We got another rack for that
The shoe rack is there
And you are not.
