Unknown Caller I.D. (Poe Dameron x Modern OC)
- - -
You know all those stupid telemarketer and Unknown Caller I.D.'s?
Well it turns out This one is 'Out of This World' in a Universe Far Far Away
Or
Answering the phone leads to an impossible friendship (Hah! Ship! Get it?! No? Okay sorry...)
AN: ...I blame all those tumbler people who post Moon Knight with Poe Dameron. If anyone wants to take this idea and run with it please do! All I ask is that you let me know cause I wanna read it! I already know I won't be able to do Poe justice  since I have refused to watch Star Wars after #6 (why? Cause Damn it! in MY world the War Is OVER!! Never took Disney to love being war mongers, sheesh.)
If I continue this, it will only be drabbles since I’m getting little ideas, but have no clue on Poe’s half of the story and I’d rather share than lose an idea.
Enjoy!
Please Try Again
During a training exercise for the renown Black Squadron of the resistance Poe Dameron coms the base only for the oddest sound to come out instead, why were his coms ringing?
- - -
Crystal is sick of all these stupid telemarketer calling, like right now. Her cell is ringing for the fifth time today, screw it!
She answers the phone with a huff, if they are going to be dicks so is she
- - -
-click-
"Black leader to-"
"Boo-bee-boop. We're sorry. The number you've called has been disconnected. Please hang up and try again."
-click-
Poe can't help the flabbergasted look to his computer, "BB-8, what the Maker was that!?"

Educational policies and their effect on students
Education is the most powerful weapon that helps in the overall development of students. It is a purposeful activity that needs some kind of rules and regulations to deliver the best facilities to learners. Every school or educational institution must follow educational policies to maintain a high-discipline environment. Let’s get a quick review of educational policies and their impact on students’ lives.
What do you mean by the term "educational policy"?
Educational policy refers to the principles and policy decisions that govern the operation of the education system. It provides an interdisciplinary forum for improving education in schools and universities. The policies are created at the state, local, and federal levels to adhere to certain standards that protect the physical and mental well-being of students. With the help of educational policy, schools can teach students in an efficient, fair, and safe environment. It has the potential to provide learners with a quality education that is inclusive and equitable, promoting high learning opportunities.
Why is educational policy important?
Educational policies are the bedrock on which a sustainable education system is built. Every educational organization is obligated to follow the law that allows them to work effectively and efficiently. It aims at increasing the skill and competency development of students. A need for educational policy is mandatory for all schools and colleges, as it keeps them within the framework of the law. It is necessary because:
It promotes an active learning culture.
It makes sure that the learning environment is not tainted by religious or political connotations.
The policy empowers educators to encourage the exchange of ideas, both formal and informal so that students can grow intellectually together.
By using some strategies, a distinction can be made between the inevitable costs and those that are unplanned.
"study24hr.com" is a collaborative and interactive environment where students and teachers can communicate easily. The portal focuses on improving the learning skills of students. It offers several facilities, like mock tests in PDF format, daily boosters, video animations, etc.
Different types of educational policies
Explore different types of educational policies that influence the field of education.
1. Kothari Commission
The National Education Commission, popularly known as the Kothari Commission, was the foremost landmark of the education system in India. The Kothari Commission has three components that have proven beneficial in educational reforms: language formulas, remunerations, and scholarships. It consisted of visionary recommendations for marginalized learners that were highly recommended for the 10+2+3 schooling pattern.
2. National Education Policy (1968)
This policy has always been accorded a dignified place in the Indian education system. It was the first education policy that was rolled out in 1968, marking a significant step in the history of education in India. NEP 1968 was framed to equalize educational opportunities for all children up to the age of 14.
3. National Education Policy (1986)
NEP 1986 is another policy that was implemented to improve educational facilities for the masses. This policy covered various aspects that needed attention. NEP 1986 recommended a more comprehensive operational blackboard to improve the school infrastructure. Also, it focused on improving different areas like micro-planning, adult education, and non-formal schooling options.
4. National Curriculum Framework (2005)
NCF 2005 was introduced with a vision of the education system of the twenty-first century. The basic aim of this framework is to guide schools and learning institutions toward encouraging the development of all students. It highlighted the idea of a student-centric learning environment that can support them beyond textbooks and rote methods.
5. Right to Education (2009)
The Right to Education Act of 2009 adds a new dimension to India's educational reforms. It aims at providing free and compulsory education to all children between the ages of six and fourteen. The best part of this policy is that it made education a fundamental right. Furthermore, RTE has been a game changer in students’ lives as it prohibits all kinds of physical punishment and discrimination based on class, caste, or gender.

Under the law, NEP 2020 recommends that all children learn three languages in school. Besides, it aims to increase the gross enrollment ratio (GER) in higher education.
7. National Education Policy (2022)
The new NEP is based on four pillars: equity, access, quality, and accountability. This policy comes with a 5+3+3+4 structure, which comprises 12 years of school and three years of preschool. Additionally, it is a far-reaching and ambitious policy that seeks to modify the Indian education system.
How does a new educational policy affect students?
The educational policy affects billions of students’ lives. It helps them experience high-quality education that leads to more accurate knowledge and a better lifestyle. The main aim of EP is to create a collaborative and effective education system that improves the learning skills of students. It plays an important role in the lives of students, having a positive and long-term impact on them. Let’s have a look at how educational policy affects students' lives:
makes learners future-ready by developing 21st-century skills.
provides multiple learning opportunities for primary, secondary, and distance and open-learning students.
makes children focus on both academic and nonacademic tracks.
enables students to access counseling and other services.
aims at creating collaborative and interactive classroom environments for both students and teachers.
focuses on the holistic growth of children by ensuring quality, equity, and strong foundational learning.
Conclusion
Education policies aim at improving the learning skills of students. As it provides learners with the best opportunity, it helps them learn according to the latest concepts of education, making them smart and competitive. By following education policies, teachers can avail their students of new ideas and technologies. Therefore, it’s essential to follow all rules and regulations related to education to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.

“Grandma’s House is not like a drop-off daycare or an immersion school where only the children learn. Through a grant from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation, parents get paid to learn alongside and speak with their children in Ojibwe five hours a day, four days a week.
‘Learning Ojibwe in college and pursuing learning the language and teaching the language, I hadn't really thought about babies speaking it as their first language,’ Erdrich said.
‘It seemed like this impossible thing because of how much work it would be, how hard it would be to have a whole community and other babies to be speaking Ojibwe, but it's happening! And it's amazing because it's the peer language here so the kids are speaking Ojibwe to each other,’ she said.
…Grandma’s House is not like other college language programs. Learning a Native language in an academic setting is beneficial for language revitalization, but academic learning does not usually include learning the traditions, heritage or spirit within a Native community.
Although it’s common to refer to a language no longer commonly spoken as a ‘dead language,’ some people in the language revitalization movement instead refer to them as ‘asleep.’ The idea is that sleeping languages can be awakened through family and community efforts.
Waking up Native languages can also bring intergenerational healing.”

New release children's book "Lucky Red - A Lunar New Year Tale", which tells the story of Nian, the sea monster, and how one man defeats it and inspires this beloved annual celebration.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A little about the book:
Once upon a time…
in a village far away…
in a year long before this one…
a curious-looking man, dressed all in red, arrived at a small village by the sea.
He was there, not to cause trouble, but to stop it.
The village had been terrorised by a hideous sea beast for centuries.
It was this man’s quest to put a stop to it once and for all.
What do you think this story is all about?
Perhaps it’s about battles, monsters, mystery and the sea.
If you thought that, you wouldn’t be wrong.
But it is also, and maybe most importantly, about the origin of the festival we call the Lunar New Year.
This book is an entertaining romp through the mysterious legend of Nian the sea beast and the curious-looking man in red who scared him away forever. Not many people in the west know of this origin story, and this retelling offers an exciting and mysterious journey through the myth attached to the Lunar New Year festival. As a bonus, it not only retells the tale but also educates its audience about how people across the world celebrate it today.

Everytime SQQ mentions how much of a lazy pretty boy he is an alarm in my head going "NO NO FALSE THATS SO WRONG" goes off in my head. Like, you're lying!! You're such a lier!! The moment you transmigrated you jumped head first in going above and beyond with your second life!! You know how I know?
...He hasn't done it because he had a twisted hobby inflicting corporal punishment upon the great male lead, but because he just couldn't endure it any longer. After taking over Luo Binghe's education, he'd mulled it over and decided that since he was to be a role model and worthy teacher, he ought to at least do some proper teaching. This way, after they fell out in the future, he would be able to utter the phrase, "Within a master-disciple relationship lies the grace of knowledge passed down," without reddening from shame before the words left his mouth. Volume 2 pg. 234.
SQQ went above and beyond, and honest to goodness, BECAME an actual attentive teacher. A good one at that apparently! His students adore and respect him, his colleagues see no fault in his teaching, no faults found among his community for years!
And we have proof that his teaching paid off with Luo Binghe specifically. Because earlier in volume 2 there is this whole thing about Shen Qingqiu being particular on teaching Binghe proper footwork and how to outmaneuver his enemies, which then cuts to Binghe using these particular skills against Shen Qingqiu and he's like "shit! He's using the stuff I taught him against me! And doing it flawlessly!"
Like, he didn't have to go all in and *literally* become a teacher/scholar/peak lord hybrid like SJ, and then also do every aspect of it ten times better. For funsies. For the immersion. But he did. Lazy my ass!
I mean, we already knew that SQQ was a lying lier who lies, but heres another example lmao.
