My thoughts on ATLA’s trinity of canon ships:

Kataang 💙☁️🧡: The more I rewatch ATLA, the more of the idea of them being together makes the most sense. You see their relationship develop throughout the course of the entire series. It’s cute, it’s healthy. And while Aang does make the mistake of kissing her in EIP, it doesn’t automatically cancel out the love and trust the two of them have built together. (add that to the Z/tar/a fandom being a cesspool of obnoxious toxicity, that motivates me to be more supportive of the pairing)

Sukka 🪃🪭: Their relationship is pretty cute. They’re devoted to protecting each other, and it’s nice to think they don’t make the other feel like the odd one out in a team of benders. And while I do genuinely like it, I just wish there was more development into their relationship. (Like Kataang) It would be nice to see more of Suki’s backstory and interactions with the other characters (Aang especially, since her whole life and culture was founded by one of his past lives) It genuinely sucks that we don’t see them grow old together and start a family in LoK. I think it would be hilarious if they ended up being the parents to either a water or an earth bender.

Maiko 🗡️🔥:While I like Mai and Zuko respectively as characters, I feel indifferent towards this relationship. I’m not diehard against it, but I’m not obsessive about it either. I find myself favoring ships like MaiLee and Zukaang more so. I do like their Goth Girl/Emo Boy dynamic and the idea that they hate everything about the world except each other. But again, I’m rather neutral about it.

I started the wind temple in Totk (after a LOT of fucking around, aka my favorite thing to do in these games) and oh my god I love Tulin, he’s so babie. I want a plushie of him, i want to hug this adorable kid.

Literally he just strikes me as wanting to be an edgy teen, but failing because he’s too happy and smiley, and is just too good at what he does.

He’s like Ravali, but not up his own ass and i would commit war crimes for him.
