My name is yuliza flores-alonzo and my pronouns is she/her/hers. I am 21 years old and studying ethics and public policy with a minor in political science and earning a certificate on entrepreneurial management on the pre-law track. I am currently on my fourth year at the university of iowa (currently on the verge of tears). Any advice and tips are extremely helpful since I still have no idea what I am doing lol :) I speak spanish and english and i can understand french.
Currently, I am studying for the lsat, which is the law school admission test in order to be accepted into law school! (which i’m very anxious about).

my hobbies include reading, making jewelry, listening to music, cooking, watching modern family and trying new hobbies!

some things that I love and it makes me happy are autumn, the color black, white, and shades of grey, rainy days, flowers, candles, shopping, sunset, vinyls, horror movies, and the way my desk is set up for when I study.
things that I HATE are presentations or reading aloud in class. I want to work on it so if you have any tips and tricks, please let me know.

I got vaccinated this Friday and I was sick and with no energy to do anything for 3 days. Getting back to work and studying was hard today, but I showed up and that's what matters.

I woke up upset because I realized how different being successful is going to be. Having a baby so young makes it a lot harder so I need to be creative.
I started having negative thoughts and blaming myself for not being good enough, but I’m not alone. There’s so many moms in school who later on attain good careers.
I just need to look for solutions and listen to woman who have achieved their goals regardless of their personal struggles.

First of all, I want to tell you about law system of my country, it appears as The Romano-Germanic Legal System is a legal system originating in Europe and Russian Federation, intellectualized with the framework of late Roman law, and whose most prevalent feature is that its core principles are codified into a referable system, which serves as the primary source of law.
What does code mean? Code is a type of legislation that purports to exhaustively cover a complete system of laws or a particular area of law as it existed at the time the code was enacted, by a process of codification.
It is a component of the European law, and was developed around the same time as its counterpart.
It was applied primarily in the colonies established by European colonial powers, like Portugal, Spain, etc.
This system is heavily based on the concept of following judicial statutes.
Even in this system, the judge brings the charges; however, he works by following a set of established rules within a framework.
This framework is designed by a set of legal experts, government legislation are based on these established rules.
Thus, in this system, the role of the judge is to hear out the case facts and read the sentence based upon the written set of laws.

I’m sorry to bitch— this is a minor thing in the grand scheme of everything but I’m upset. Our school is going totally P/F. It’s the right thing to do. But I’m in clinic and super close to being done (~40/400 hours left). I did that by working fucking hard and giving my last winter break totally to clinic. In addition to not getting credit for that, I can’t move up in rank. So first in our class will be a straight, white federal judge’s son who notoriously had daddy’s help on his 1L brief.
You guys, it is totally okay to be pissed about your personal losses during this crisis.
I have friends who are having to talk about postponing their wedding. PA and I have cancelled a vacation we have wanted to do for 10 years. We don’t know when it’s going to be safe to bring Baby O to meet her Vancouver family.
We are all allowed to mourn these personal circumstances. It does not make us horrible people.
Fuck that guy who is going to sit top of his class. Fuck the person who hires him who is going to give a shit about class ranks. Fuck the firms who are going to instigate massive hiring freezes when this is over. Fuck them all in the ear.

Guys I have my first Jury Trial in 3 weeks and I am freaking out!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!! Any advice from my more seasoned attorneys out there? For context, I am doing a criminal trial for unlawful possession of a gun. I just want to know how you guys get up there without wanting to throw up.
