SECRET LIFE SMP GRIAN
I had to do another big update to Grian since there's a new life series! This took about 3 hours to put everything on! It's worth the wait though!
Hope everything enjoying the series!

Life Series Grian meet eachother
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Continuation from THIS
MORE INFO BELOW!
Tumblr media
"X CHARACTER from 3L meets their counterpart from Y series version" AU.
3L Grian is a loyalist to the end even when Scar somewhat betrays him. A great trap-maker though he has his moments of it backfiring on him (Ex. His TNT trap not damaging anyone but his team on the fight against the Red Army). He is blood-thirsty therefore less trusting of strangers other than his allies.
LL Grian is somewhat loyal but is punished for it when he gets exiled from the Southerners. Great in combat, managing to secure kills on many players on pvp.
DL Grian is not loyal to Scar but even his with BigB's a bit flimsy though much more stable, has actively made enemies through killing Etho & Joel. Though his stalactite kill is spectacular, it is his one and only intentional kill which ranks him lower than the other series version.
LL2 Grian is loyal until his remaining teammate die, which is reasonable in a logical standpoint. Unfortunately, his survival is at all time zero because of the undeniably stupid deaths he's had this time, along with killing his teammates repetitively which ultimately lessens his own group's chances of survival. Managed to secure another alliance with Nosey Neighbors after his own group die which is smart. Though his many very preventable deaths, he has more than made up with it with his numerous kills on others through TNT carts.
(NOTE: I am a bit rusty on the previous life series except LL2, so correct me if i'm wrong!)
(Upcoming : Jimmy, Joel, Scott, Cleo, [Maybe Martyn & Pearl?])
(UNRELATED NOTE: I thought it was only me who liked the X! Character meets Y version of themselves and talks about their experiences and reacts haha. It was such an underrated trope that looking for it was a bit of a pain!)

How can anyone ever forget about 'you could join me' in last life. that rewired my brain chemistry in every way imaginable. the romance of murder. the romance of corruption. lets run away and be together for ever. lets both be red. lets both be monsters. together.

So more lore has been dropped thanks to Martyn on stream the other day. He said that nobody except Grian is a watcher, and Grian left them. According to Martyn, Grian left the watchers after 3rd life.
What if he was instructed to do the games. He was told to orchestrate this death game for all of the people he cared about, and his response was no. So they forced him to play the game himself, which only made him bond more with those he was only meant to watch. And when he won 3rd life, he was so distraught over being forced by everyone, especially the watchers, to kill his partner instead of both of them winning, that when he returned to the watchers he refused to help them again. He left. But they still are controlling everything, and now there is no voice for the players among them, and that’s why they pushed Grian and Scar together again in DL, was because they essentially were saying “look at him. This is what you traded us for. Now you have no choice but to be with him again, to remind you of your decision” and Grian did not want to appease the watchers and he wanted to keep Scar out of it, so he went to BigB.
Someone who knows about the watchers. Someone who was on EvoSMP. Someone who understood.
I believe that he still has his powers (as shown by boogeyman rolling and time dealing) and is by all means of technicality still a watcher, but he does not agree with the watchers and what they are doing. They feed off negative emotions, and he does not agree with that. He is essentially just acting as an independent player who happens to be a watcher right now. Martyn also mentioned a group called “Speakers” but no further info was given on that subject. I’m fairly sure he also said there are no canonical listeners in the series. Jimmy was also asked “Jimmy do you think they are still watching” in a stream, and he was at first confused “what do you mean?” but then realized what the fan was asking and replied “oh…you mean the watchers?”, so Jimmy knows that they control the series, he knows they are watching them. I think BigB, Pearl, Grian, Martyn, and Timmy all know that the watchers are pulling the strings, and they choose to either acknowledge it (Martyn) not confirm anything (Grian & Timmy) or just not mention it (Pearl & BigB).
TL; DR: Martyn said Grian left the watchers after 3rd life, but I think he is still a watcher, just acting independently.

TRAITOR!! TRAITOR SCARRR!!!

I’ve finally gotten to watching Grian’s pov in Last Life and ohh ohh why have you guys been selling Desert Duo short in this?? “It doesn’t have the same amount of content as it does in Third Life and Double Life“ and “oh they’re avoiding each other” were you not LOOKING? this is a PERFECT continuation of Third Life!!
First off, Grian right off the bat making it clear he owes Scar nothing, he takes Scar’s first life and this time he doesn’t give Scar anything. He’s specifically dodging ending up in any kind of alliance with him again (he literally made sure the world didn’t have a desert, mans was sick of it), yet he keeps going back to Scar. He does not go a single session without seeking him out. Gonna swindle a life? He first thinks of Scar. Need to ransom someone? Scar! When Grian hits red the first time, he doesn’t even mention Bdubs (The first person on his list since episode one) ONLY Scar. And it goes both ways, i mean tell me Scar didn’t deliberately not kill Grian when he had the Boogymen curse in episode 2. He’s so used to Grian on his side even when they’re not technically on the same team. So no, Grian is not trying to avoid Scar, Grian is trying to avoid being in Scar’s debt again. And you know what? He fails at that.
The turn tables. THE TURNED TABLES, GUYS. Grian is having to rely on Scar so much in this season. The life he took from Scar, for “safe keeping”, he immediately lost it, he got to red before Scar even lost one life (TURNED TABLES), he had to sign himself into being in Scar’s debt again in exchange for another life which he looses while Scar is gone. In episode 8, Joel and Grian are standing in front of Scar, all three of them reds, but they’re only standing there because of Scar. In the same episode, Grian has to keep taking and taking from Scar; his diamonds for a chest plate, his sand for TNT, his enchanter for enchantments. Unlike last season, where it ended with a “i owe you my first life, i owe you my third life” relationship between the two, this season was Grian trying to avoid being in his debt at all, avoid owing him anything, but instead he digs himself deeper into the same hole and pretends he didn’t. He relies on Scar as much as or arguably more than Scar did in the last season. And he has nothing to give back, never lets himself fall back into being on the same team. “Scar, don’t start a fight you can’t win”. Even when he only still has his Last Life because of Scar, he’s refusing any real loyalty to him. He even outlives him again.
The entire series, Grian has not been able or willing to give anything back to Scar. Not in resources, in lives, or even in friendship and loyalty.
Grian and Scar have been destined to be connected the second that creeper blew up at the start of Third Life.
