reminder that lan zhan wrote a song for wei ying and never shared it with anyone else besides his beloved, even after wei ying was thought dead for over a decade, he kept it held close, until wei ying returned and played that very song that allowed lan zhan to find him again
he also named that song a combination of their names that was definitely teenji’s idea I love him
Wangxian Isekai AU where Modern!WWW gets isekai’d into like a Wuxia novel or smth as the villain Yiling Laozu and the villain gets killed by the hero of the story Hangaung Jun
WWW is like nope to getting killed and just tries to wingman in getting Hangaung Jun and Mianmian together. Except, why does Hangaung Jun look at him like that? He’s not plotting anything evil. He’s trying to be a good wingman to make the romance of this novel happen.
With immense delay compared to the whole world I saw Mo Dao Zu Shi’s donghua, shed all my tears and fell in love with Wei Wuxian, sweet soul. I didn’t think it would involve me so much! 🥲
Challenging myself this time! I watched all of The Untamed in record time for someone like me, who can’t sit down and watch something to save my life. But this series…oh man. It’s indescribably beautiful. The story and characters are just so incredible, and I think I’m hooked for life. I just finished watching all of Grandmaster too, and now I’m starting the novels. I can happily watch/read this love story in a million different forms. Just beautiful.
Since finishing, I decided I wanted to do some fanart of it - starting with the live action (Untamed) since it was the first one I watched. I started it off as a sketch, with the intention of painting it and layering it with origami paper, a new challenge for myself. It ended up being layers and layers of washi paper, gold leaf, silver leaf, gel, origami, vellum, and cardstock. The strings on the guqin are hand-sewed in, and there is beadwork throughout. With visuals like the ones you get in this show, I felt the art had to go big. It meant this was a three week process, of roughly 1 - 9 hours a day. Another seemingly impossible challenge for myself, but on a steady course of Rooibos tea and protein bars, anything can get done…
All jokes aside, I’m so so proud of this. Thanks for viewing 💕
They were certain that what they were watching was the beginning of a great, bloody fight.
Wei Wuxian, in his one tailed form, was looking down at Lan Wangji, on his own dragon form, from a cliff, his lonely tail swishing from side to side in anticipation, before lowering his body and shaking ready to jump.
They all held their breaths. Nie Huaisang was waving his fan at a fast speed, eyes wide. Someone asked if they were supposed to call an adult, but not one answered.
Wei Wuxian jumped.
He landed in Lan Wangji's face, almost as if hugging, tail happily waving in the air and he licked the dragon's forehead. Lan Wangji closed his eyes and huffed, his own tail thumping rather softly on the ground.
Another Lan Wangji doesn’t recognize Mo Xuanyu as Wei Wuxian au, but this time he treats Mo Xuanyu with the the same disinterest as he treats everyone else and Wei Wuxian has a existential crisis over the realization that Lan Zhan might actually have liked him before.
