新刊「洞窟少年と犬のシロ」の表紙と中面挿絵を描きました。NHKでドラマ化された「洞窟おじさん」の少年時代のお話です。

New book “洞窟少年と犬のシロ”(Cave Boy and Shiro The Dog) I drew illustrations for cover and inner pages. 英語に続いて日本語書いてます。

In 1960, main character of the story Japanese boy Kazuma run away home as 13-year-old to escape from his abusive parents. He started survival life with his dog “Shiro” in deep forests in the mountains. He lived there for 43 years. This is a true story. Later Kazuma published a book and his life was made into a TV drama “Cave Man” in 2014. This new book is focused on early years of his survival life with his dog Shiro. Though intended for young readers but adults can enjoy as well.

13歳の時に両親の虐待から逃れために家出をし、愛犬シロと山で暮しはじめた少年一馬。洞窟で暮し、山の生き物や植物を食べながら何年も生活を続けます。NHKでドラマ化され話題になった「洞窟おじさん」の子どもの頃のお話です。児童書なのですが大人も楽しめます。私は一馬少年とシロの生命力の強さに驚きの連続でした。楽しくイラストを描かせて頂きました。
