Hey everyone, just a gentle reminder. Stede may have said he loves everything about Ed. But Ed hasn't said anything of the sort to Stede. He hasn't told him that he also loves everything about him -- that he loves Stede just the way he is.

He doesn't realize that his fear of being unlovable is a reality that Stede has faced every single day -- how much Stede wishes he could be someone he's not if it meant he could be loved. And how a simple "I love you...as you are" could mend the shattered pieces of Stede's longing soul.

i want so desperately for Ed to find out from Mary that Stede’s in love with him. like can you imagine a scary leather pirate man giggling, blushing, and twirling his hair like “did he say anything else about me🥺🥰?” *glances at izzy* “i mean, I don’t care… did he🫣?”

Ed: Yeah I guess you could say I like bad boys ;)

I have reached the sudden realization that Ed and Stede would play Good Pirate/Bad Pirate when questioning for loot, respectively.

Ed would act all nice with the captain while simutaneously REALLY playing Stede up

"Okay mate, we can resolve this situation like gentleman can't we? No problem here, right? Let's just have a little chat, and then you can go on your way"

and

"My friend here killed two english officers by accident, trust me, you don't want to see what he does on purpose"

(Stede would theatricaly lurk in the shadows, trying to be as silently intimidating as possible).

Then when the captain resisted for enough time, Stede would threaten to intervene, Ed would pretend to be desperate like "C'mon man we could've avoided this" and "I warned you, mate! nothing is gonna stop him now."

Maybe he even feins trying convince Stede to not go for it "Hey we don't need to do this, remember last time? Dude couldn't even stand properly. This one seems nice enough, just give him a little more time!". Stede would then start making his "I have seen things" face and maybe he even makes a very menacing little speech spoken in hushed tones.

In the end the captain gives up because of the vibes alone.

Everyone wants Ed and Stede to settle down and retire and run away to china but I want them to have an unhinged murder arc after they get back together. I want them to be a couple and do pirate shit together. I want them to be the power couple of piracy. I want them to be on some Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy shit. I want them flirting stupidly with each other to be the last sight some sailors ever see. I want Stede to stab a man and for Ed to go “Babe, you’re so hot when you do that” and they start making out while he bleeds out and the crew of the revenge take all his shit.
