Laughing too

Sum: From each and every one of your group of friends' perspective they were rooting for you and lee know to end up together

"My last subject would be Chem, I'll be waiting for you at the caf" You told him as you walked beside him only to receive a loud sigh from his end

"It's too far from hereeee, can't you just wait for me downstairs?"

"No, It's dark and mosquito-ey" and he chuckles at your joke, considering that it's late 6PM and for most of your senior year, the both of you always go home together, if considering the same schedule and also as you are both living on the same dorm.

"Alright then little Ms. Dramatic, I'll text you" and he waves his goodbye when he reaches the knob on his class.

You smiled as you went your way on your next subject.

It has been minutes since you got a text from 'Grandpa Lino🤮' one of it being

'I might take a while, the Prof's kinda mad because one of us had to redo the program because one didn't saved his project, What an ass right 😵'

'Mr. can you just finish faster I'm getting bored here' was what you replied and he immediately texts

'*learns faster*'

"This person I swear to God..." you muttered, simultaneously sipping at your almost empty drink and munching on your snack as you waited for him. When you noticed that its 7:48PM, you went back inside Uni and waited on him downstairs where it's dark and the only light source was your phone. You turned on one of the music to soothe the emptiness of the sound as you hummed to one of IU's track.

"Heyyy" He greets you from behind and a playful slap on your shoulder

"Been agesss" you exclaimed and he subconsciously pulls your bag and wears it like he always do as you walked back to your dorm and chatted about your day.

When he first came to your Uni, he was sporting a what you swore was a black t-shirt for xxl humans, a distressed jeans a black vans shoes and like a cherry on top, a specs with bulky glasses. When you saw him you thought he was some kind of a nerd, sporting a backpack on the one side of his shoulder, he notices your glance on every single-bit details of his frame,

"Just so you're wondering, no I'm not wearing any braces and I don't talk funny, just a deteriorating eyesight" He greets you unfriendly

"Ikr, I'll be assisting you on your first week since I'm on senior year"

How it did go from here? Well, number one he leaned back on his attire, from huge T-shirts to regular ones and getting rid of his cinema-like glasses and considering lasik surgery, he still sports specs but with smaller grades but for most times he learned how to wear contacts which have the same effect.

You introduced him to your group of friends one meeting and he and Han immediately clicks like a gay couple. It's odd since spending some days with him and considering you're taking the same classes, whenever someone tries to talk to him and be friendly he rejects the affection but with you introducing him to your group of friends, they immediately clicked. Sure he still gives shivers to Hyunjin and Changbin and Ryujin but not completely ignoring them is a huge achievement.

He blossomed into an even more leaned person when he learned going to the gym and lift some weights. You noticed that he's getting bulkier than usual when you saw him and Changbin back from one of their trainings with their shoulder cut-off T-shirts, looking like gym rats.

"Going back to the dorm? We'll come with you"

"I'll be heading out, you go on your way" Changbin smiles as he waves his hand and left. He lifted your bag as usual and you can't help but notice the unintentional flex of his bicep. He chuckles when he noticed you checking him out and exaggeratedly flexed even more.

"Ewww" you laughed

"C'mon Y/N don't pretend you don't like my muscle?" and you both laughed at his expression and he chases you with tickles on your sides as you ran from him.

That's when you knew there was something,

"Would you mind if someone wants your number and I gave it to them?"

Hyunjin slurs his words and shoots an apologetic smile at you you playfully flicked his forehead in response "Why would you do that to a friend!"

"Ouch! Well Y/N he's also a senior from a diff Uni, he's majoring in Chem too, don't you like to know someone and date?" and he sips on his nth bottle, you responded by nodding and you both continued drinking, which leads you to here, at a nearby bar-cafe on a wednesday, meeting this random pokemon-like person that Hyunjin insists that you should meet because it was his senior and specifically asked for your number and not for the sake of Hyunjin getting leverage on some sort of senior-junior relationship

"Chan, nice meeting you Ms. Y/N" and offers you his hand he shoots you with the most angelic smile, his deep dimple making its appearance, assisting you to be seated on his table. He continued to smile whenever your eyes meet or whenever you both exchanged timid introductions.

"I really apologise if I caught you off-guard on meeting you and also because I practically begged Hyunjin to give me your number" He chuckles and you shyly chuckled back "Nah it's all good Chan, I also wanted to meet other people and be friends and chat"

"Well, uhm, I hope we get to be more than friends, Y/N" and you were taken aback at his sentence.

Minho has just finished his tech class and was wondering why your name haven't popped-up on his notifications. Knowing you if going absent are one of these three reasons, pretending to be sick, asleep or in deep episodes of binge-watching some certain shows and surely will text him within the lines of

'don't forget to take down notes 4 me luvya'

'hey I'm watchin sum crime docu at the dorm, won't be avail at Mr. O's class, see ya when I see ya 4eyes'

Which to him was strange since you were active online hours ago. He went to the basketball court and was approached by Han who welcomed him with a heartfelt ribcage-breaking hug.

"Hey have you guys seen Y/N?"

"Thought I saw you earlier at lunch together?" Ryujin interrupts,

"Yeah, I had Ms. Z's class then were supposed to sit in at Tech class, haven't got a text from her"

"Oi mate, Y/N you say" Felix paused his Tiktok shoot and interrupts "I saw her earlier wit' some bloke in a T-shirt of me and Hyunjin's Uni, must be an SO?"

"Y/N doesn't have an SO you Aussie cat-" Han shushes "you know were supposed to support Team Lino right?" he whispers

"What?" Minho asks and Han just shrugs at the confused look on Minho's face. Hyunjin arrived, high-fiving all of them

"I'm on a good mood, Y/N saved my faceee" he whistles as they settled down at the pavement at the side of the court

"What did she do?" Han asks

"Oh yeah I have this senior of mine who was making a certain subject difficult for us new faces, and yeah, basically he noticed that I was friends with Y/N and would like a date. In short I became a bridge to them"

"pftt, more like a shover" Ryujin spurts

"Where is she then?" Minho asks looking at Hyunjin in a stern voice

It was past 6PM when you came back at the dorm, Chan insists on bringing you home, you met Minho infront of the gate, leaning on his back, he gazed up and saw you, his gaze went to Chan, eyeing him up and down, he stood up and went a couple steps towards you. Chan shoots him a smile

"It's getting late, seems like someone forgot the dorm rules" he shrugs

"It's 6 and we do not have a dorm rules" Your response in defense, Chan chuckles at the both of you

"Y/N it's getting pretty late, I'm sorry if it took a while" His smile never disappearing from his lips

"No worries, I'm glad I went" You shyly smiled, Minho on the other hand snorts, observing the scene infront of his face as if watching some cringy-ass romantic opera, You hissed at his direction and Chan chuckles again

"I'll text you when I get home Y/N" Chan replied "What are you some lost child at the mall, why bother text-..." You cutoff Minho, shoving a hand in his face and laughs shyly at Chan "Really apologise for this third person pov, he's kinda snappy today cause he haven't ate" "Haha no worries Y/N, it's all cool, Go on inside it's getting cold" He pats your shoulder, Minho went to your side, shoving you inside the dorms. You clasped off at his hold when you arrived at the entrance

"What are you on about?" Fixing your fringes and blouse, he follows by doing the same, tugging a loose strand at the side of your ear. Many may not know or notice or experience it but Minho is kinda the skinship guy, he likes to do things for his friends sometimes exclusively for you according to your friends. Whenever you request something for him like that one time you forgot your Manual's book at your dorms and requesting him a favour of going back and fetching it for you and at first he was mad and sighing at you because according to him 'you can't do anything without him'. You didn't expect for his coordination and hope for the best of your memory to remember some parts of the Manual book but atlas, minutes later he was at the front doorstep of your exam room panting and sweating because he frantically ran 40 minutes before your exam started.

So yeah, whenever he does the unexpected, It's probably because he's fond of your presence and you swore to your friends that Minho probably sees you as a man rather than a girl.

"I was wondering why you didn't text me what's up" He spoke, leaning in to pick your bag, walking you upstairs your room, settling in the couch

"Well I was gonna text you when I got back, why are you snappy?"

"Did you do it? did you have...uhm...you know..." He asks dropping his tone, You raised a brow and he gazes the other way "No, why the heck would I have sex on the first date?" "Oh, not that but good point though" You were embarrassed at your confession "I was gonna ask if you guys kissed because it's flu season and you might get it and i might get it, ugh, better go now, ciao!" He left

"What the heck was that" your roommate Nayeon interrupts you, revealing herself behind the curtain of her bed, as you were too stunned to speak

"I know right" you replied confused as she was

"Y/N tell me something real, do you have any sort of feelings with Minho?" You know not to lie to your roommate slash friend Nayeon as she has some sort of rumour about being a soothsayer going on about her. She looks at your expression while munching on his bowl of chips waiting for any sort of jolt reaction, your phone rings as if on cue, looking at the Notification

'Christian Bang''

'Just got home! Hey Y/N you made my evening, no not really, you made my entire day. I was glad you agreed to meet, Have a Good night ☺️" Nayeon noticed you smiling from ear to ear "Of course not" you paused, settling your bag at the side of your bed "Were just friends"

"I dunno, there's just something I'm sensing"

"Stop, whatever that is unnie, I'm not really fond of dating within friends"

"Why is that?"

"Well, you know, Minho only sees me as a guy friend"

She nods following an uh-huh "And friends don't need to break-up"

"So you're saying that, whatever Minho is doing to you right now, you're planning on ignoring it?" and you nodded to agree "Y/N, it won't take long before you realise that you have fallen for him"

Maybe she was right, but all you wanted now is to get comfy and sleep. When the next day came, Minho didn't bother to text you or even waited for you like the usual. You knew he went ahead at the Uni by himself with the help of text from Han

'Daddy Lee was kinda snappy today, I was startled when he attended Psych without you, anyways Y/N were gathered at the usual spot! 😄' after preparing you went to the basketball court, you saw them laughing and chatting, Felix is on his phone, Han is cackling and clinging onto Minho's shoulders while he silently sips his coffee, Hyunjin is laughing at Han and Ryujin's banter, Changbin at Ryujin's side supporting her wits. Han immediately spots you walking towards them, you saw Minho lift his head and turns back to his phone as if he never saw you, you went to his and pinched his side, he was electrified as he jolts from his seat

"What the hell was that for?" he asks, you didn't realise that they stopped with the chitchat and was watching the both of you "Why so madddd~" you cooed at his shoulder as he defenses himself throwing his hands at you "Stoppp~" as you were trying to tickle any part of his frame, He finally catches your pointy finger, holding it firmly, your lifted your head up to look at him and he was already gazing upon you, His look was stern and you felt your heart skipped a beat. You never saw it coming when he puts his head closer to your side "You're gonna regret so bad if you don't stop right now, Y/N" he whispers in your ear. You pulled away and looked back at him, he was already smirking at your dramatically disgusted expression and he finally chuckles when he went back to his seat, you sat infront of him beside Ryujin and Changbin

Han clutches to his chest and dramatically threw himself at Minho "Honey I missed your laugh, it don't emerge without Y/N's help!"

After you took your remaining subjects for the day, Han suggested on the GC that you should drink tonight. You sat on the bench beside Minho while texting Chan

'Hi Y/N are you free tonight? Love Rosie is showing on the cinema! We can watch it, my treat ☺️' You can't help but smile from ear to ear. You haven't experienced this feeling in a while. And if given a chance, Chan would be a perfect fit for a boyfriend.

"What's that on your face? You look like the joker Y/N" Minho insults as he gaze down your phone, seeing the name of the guy he met last night at the gate. He furrows his eyebrows at the thought of the way Chan wasn't intimidated at him but rather smiles at him like an idiot.

"Han's gonna be upset if you don't show up, and I can't lie to my honey either"

"You know you're so annoying right?" You spat at him

"I knowww that's why I annoy you more~" He smiles dearly at you. A contrast from his sentence and how he looks like an Angel.

Changbin and the others came so you went together to the private karaoke pub that Han texted the address as he is already waiting there.

Hyunjin, who was staying away from Minho suggested to grill the meat, he was joined by Ryujin who wanted to make sure that the meat won't go to waste. Changbin was busy on typing the numbers for each song they wanted to sing and Han is still looking at the songbook, Minho was still looking for the menu to follow up on the waiter.

'I can't tonight Chan I'm sorry I had plans tonight, maybe some other time yeah?' you replied to Chan

'Sure! no worries Y/N, take care☺️'

You drank your shot and Minho kept his glance on your figure. Glancing from time to time at your redden cheek and fluttering eyelash. The rounds of shots was passing at a speed because most of you have a high tolerance at alcohol. When you came back from the rest room Han suggested to play truth or dare as you went back beside Minho, his hand holding your waist when you stumbled a bit and elicit a chuckle

"What an idiot" he tells himself

"I heard that" You replied, His head jerked to your side "Good cause you are an idiot" He mutters at your ear and you playfully punched his arm. The bottle spun and spun and dares and truths pours here and there including Han asking Changbin to go home since he chose dare

"That's so mean!" Changbin cutely protested trudging on his feet like a toddler and all of you cackles at Changbin "I'm just joking! come here!" Han pulled his hand while still laughing at his hyung. Minho who dared Hyunjin to chuck a muzz, a dance thought by Felix. Hyunjin was kinda terrified and did so wholeheartedly like his life depended on it.

"20 degrees at 180 minutes in the air fryer!" Minho laughs at him

"WhY wOulD You cOok hIm liKe ThAt?!?!" Changbin in a panic exclaimed.

You stood minutes later, going to the rest room for the nth time. when you went back Han was seated on your spot beside Minho smouldering him in a hug

"Y/N sit there!" He points at his empty spot which is infront of Minho which is no problem. Ryujin then spins the bottle and it stopped as if on purpose pointing to Minho and the end of the bottle at you

"Truth or dare?"

"Truth"

"Hmmmm, let me seeeee....Are you in love with someone right now?"

Only the sound of the unsung number on the karaoke machine is heard as all of you waiting patiently at his response. He fixes his seating, leaning forward at you

"Yes"

"Who?" You followed up immediately.

"What do you mean who, we can't do follow ups can we?" He smirks at you and downs a shot

You fell on your stomach. Feeling dizzy and feeling dumb for asking that. You can't help but get curious and afraid at the same time as it might be someone you know or just the fact that Minho likes someone and not you.

Why would you hope that it was you?

The bottle spun again only to end up on the same spot from earlier.

"Who?" you immediately asked at him

"Who what?"

"Who are you in love to, who" you repeated

He deeply inhaled and exhaled as all of you waited at him

"Y/N that's gonna be an impossible question you can't just ask someone who the lucky girl is, it might be mee" Han smiles at you "Why don't I rephrase it with, Is that someone in here right now with us?"

"Good idea, is that someone in here right now with us?" you repeated Han's question and Minho nodded,

"Yes, she is"

"Okaaaayyyy" Changbin interrupts. Feeling the awkwardness in the air, Changbin lifted the mic to his mouth "Love me love me, say that you love me,

Fool me fool me go on and fool me..." they all sang in a tacky tune, Hyunjin and Han holding a tambourine while they drunk-ly stood and danced at the mini stage. Minho who downs a shot is still on his seat, his gaze not leaving your eyes. His body still leaning forward, wide legs spread across the couch. You gulped to yourself. Feeling a knot on your stomach as if a thousand butterflies were released to wonder. Your chest pounding deadbeat like anytime it could go out by itself.

There was a certain thing about Minho and how the way he looks like right now in the dim of the room. Vibrant lights emit by the screen highlighting his features especially his lips and his hair. He combs a hand through it like a model and coughs

"I might melt, don't you think?" He mouths at you when he saw your eyes glued at his lips. Your gaze went to his eyes, smirking at himself and then you mouthed back a "fuck off" and he chuckles.

"Hey guys I hope you're not mad at me I invited someone over is it okay?" Han asks and they assured him since it's his party. minutes later Felix welcomes everyone with a hug and all of you thought it was just him. There was someone else at the side of the door, careful of stepping in as he looks at Felix. He signals him to come over and he smiles. When he spots you his dewy lips curls and the appearance of his dimple has once again returned.

"Everyone meet my friend Chan, he's from my and hyunjin's Uni. He's our senior mentor for the rest of the sem" Felix introduces him and he shyly smiles at everyone and everyone except Minho was glad to meet him. He settled down beside you holding his glass as Ryujin pours him a drink

"I didn't know you were coming here!" you exclaimed

"I didn't know you were here either hehe! what a coincidence!" he smiled back

"I didn't know you knew each other!" Felix interrupts

"Oh yeah about that, Hyunjin introduced her to me and we went out on a date" Chan explains. Hyunjin barely looking at Minho's side

"I didn't know you were such a drinker Y/N, it's amazing!" he compliments you as you bottoms up. Minho was silent the rest of the night still drinking within the rounds as he crosses an arm to himself, Han notices him "Daddy Lee I know what you're thinking and no it's not a great idea to pull someone's head out of jealousy~" He whispers to Minho "You're a great observer aren't you?" Han points a finger at his temple "Idea Bank, Mind reader, Mr. Worldwide" and he laughs at the joke.
