Illustrated angst ratings for every main RO in The Keeper of the Day and Night.
I am extremely nosy and played through every RO route because I wanted to learn everyone's secrets in Book 2. Used the character creator at the beginning because I didn't romance everyone in Book 1. Spoilers, but I'm trying really hard to keep it vague. Ratings don't really reflect my fav ROs, just the angst of their story lines.
Long. Sorry to people who follow me and didn't follow for Interactive Fiction.
Katia - 11/10 - I'm biased, don't fight me. I've been in love with Katia since she broke all my MC's toes in book 1 with her terrible dancing. But still, the flashback to find out what happened to Katia? I wanted to scream and cry. Never hated anyone more than the current and former nymph leaders.
Leon - 10/10 - see above, I have never hated anyone more than the nymph leadership!!! DESTROY THEM! Bring [redacted] back from the dead so I can kill them myself!
Cressida & Cyrus - 10/10 - murder bad, ritual sacrifice ok? IT IS NOT OKAY. Protect Cressida and Cyrus. Stop putting them through this utter shit.
Serafina - 8/10 - the past is still with us. The past is still with us every damn day. Davina drama.
Astrid - 7/10 - the past is still with us. Davina drama. But maybe we can start healing.
Thalia & Yakov - 6/10 - hm, how to describe this? Yakov did some bad things because that's how he was raised. Thalia did some bad things to humans because she's a siren and not a human. But they wanted to change.
Kol - 5/10 - I'm getting tired of these Frostbite dipshits. They are going down in book 3.
Altair - 4/10 - honestly? This was a very sweet story line. Altair is a Good Boy. Angst is low in this route.

Playing an MC who is Roxana’s kid and murders Celosia for what she’s done to Seraphina similarly to Roxana wanting to kill Anetha for hurting Isabella is by far the best way to play Seraphina’s route. Like, no contest. The mother like child energy of it all.
(Also the dark soulmate vibe of MC and Seraphina both being present at the night of the Delacroix massacre as young children)
