hi everyone! because i put tutoring on hold while i am working full time but still want to provide help to those who want to start learning/want to practice their korean, i am continuously compiling material for free learning :)
resources are totally free!
most are typically aimed at children (which is great for beginners!!)

example of grammar breakdowns:
Tumblr media
i will be adding material over the coming weeks and continuously as i come across material! updates may be frequent or slow down at times.
note: resources are free, and they’re totally free to share and use! but please do not repost without credit, and because i buy these from my workplace with my own money and spend time scanning them and cleaning them up and organizing them, please consider tipping me as much as you’d like ♥️
here is the link to the drive! (sorry, can’t hyperlink on mobile currently)
enjoy, and thank you in advance! have fun and feel free to ask me any questions—i am a korean studies grad and was a tutor for the beginning korean classes at my university. i am happy to help however i can!
♥️ joey

does anyone have any tips for possible language exchange apps or methods? i’ve been on hellotalk for almost a year but my experience has gone down since then. i recently turned 18, so now most of everyone in my feed is 25+ and i’m not completely comfortable having one on one conversations with people that old. while im glad it further protects minors from predators, i wish it still showed people within my age range 😭 i haven’t found a language partner since i’ve been on there and everyone who offered at first is no longer active. im thinking of just deleting the app altogether but i really need to improve my korean speaking 😭 idk what to do at this point so any pointers would be appreciated thank you

3.4.23 - Introduction
Today's my first studyblr post! I am Sylvia, a college student studying Elementary Education in Florida, USA. I've dabbled between way too many majors and even more languages. So this blog will document all of it. College and language learning from home is pretty isolating, so I made this page to experiment with. :) I have no set schedule which will release any pressure I place on myself. I'm very type A and want everything planned until the last detail. I would like to remind myself to focus on progress, not perfection.
I have a few languages I hope to dabble in (I'll keep updating it):
Korean
American Sign Language
French
Mandarin Chinese / Taiwanese
To be honest, I don't have a particular end goal with this page - or any of these languages. But a break from daily life was needed. I'm excited about what might come of this. :)

My notes from the korean lesson i studied last night. Lately i've been struggling to make time for korean in my schedule. I really want to try taking the topik 1 exam later this year, but for that i need to be more consistent with my studies. This weekend i'm gonna force myself to sit down and plan a proper schedule to fit everything i want/have to do, because there is no way i will see pregresd otherwise.

How it started vs. How it ended.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I always start as an organised person but, by the end of any study session, my desk looks like a mess 😳
Anyway, today was so much better than yesterday. I still suffer from insomnia so I'm starting to get a headache but my mood was slightly better and I accomplished more things than yesterday so that is something 🙃
This I did today:
I went to pilates and it felt amazing.
I keep reading.
I catch up with my korean homework.
I studied a couple of hours of clarinet.
My friend brought food and we watched Good Omens. It felt amazing to just laugh and have a nice time.
