A very rare classic ‘Krueang Rang Niyom’ (collector preferred) Old Takrut Tone Mae Tap Guardian Yantra Scroll amulet, made from Nuea Takua thick gauge leaden Yantra Foil, wrapped with green Chueak Akom magical spellbound cord wrap, from the legendary Luang Por Tob, of Wat Chon Daen (earlier known as Wat Chang Phueak). This powerful old takrut amulet was made during the later Era of Luang Por Tob’s amulet trajectory around the year 2500 – 2510 BE, the Takrut Tone Mae Tap is highly renowned for its powerful Kong Grapan Chadtri, Klaew Klaad, and Maha Ud power.

Takrut Mae Tap Luang Por Tob Wat Chon Daen (Wat Chang Phueak)

This exhibit has been kept in original condition by its owner, and is hence in pristine condition, despite the open ends revealing the true age of the leaden Yantra foil scroll spell within.

LP Tob

Luang Por Tob Tamma Banyō, or, ‘Pra Kroo Pichit Pacharājarn, of Wat Chon Daen, also known as Wat Chang Phueak, or, ‘the Temple of the White Elephant’, in Petchaburn, was a Nationally and Internationally famous Gaeji Ajarn Buddhist Master, renowned for his merits in building important and highly required edifices for various Buddhist Temples and for the Sangha in general around the whole province of Petchaburn.

Luang Por Tob Wat Chang Phueak

Luang Por Tob was born on third of March 2424 BE. In the year 2445 BE, he came of age, and was ordained as a fully fledged adult Bhikkhu in the Buddha Sasanā, at Wat Silāmōng. Pra Kroo Mueang was his Upachāya, and Pra Ajarn Parn as his Pra Gammawājājārn, and Pra Ajarn Si as his Pra Anusāwanājārn.

He was given the Ordained name of ’Tammabanyõ’, which means ‘He who has Great Knowledge in Dhamma’. After his ordination as a Bhikkhu, he traveled to practice Vipassanā Kammathān and Buddha Magic (Wityākom/Wicha) with Pra Ajarn Parn, and once more excelled to the point of reaching adept mastery of the various Wicha taught to him by Pra Ajarn Parn.

After completing his studies of Wicha with Pra Ajarn Parn. Luang Por Tob then went on Tudong forest wandering, to practice solitude and develop his Kammathāna practice. During the time he spent on Tudong, he met many great Masters, and learned their Magical Wicha.

During the times of Tudong, Luang Por Tob met and became very close friends with the great Luang Por Khien Tamma Ragkhidto, who was one of the Great Famous Masters of the Petchaburn Province in that Era. Luang Por Tob and Luang Por Khien became very close friends and companions.

Luang Por Tob, made merits building temples, Sala Bprian Dhamma Halls, Uposatha Shrine Rooms for temples in need, and restored many shrines, buildings and delapidated temple facilities scattered around the province. He made countless merits both with worldly acts, and with the spiritual teachings of the Buddha-Dhamma, and the memory of his great deeds remains in the minds of the devotees to this day, and has passed into the living memory of the current generation of Devotees.

When Luang Por Tob went on Tudong to the municipality of Chon Daen, and stayed in the forest close to the locality, the local Buddhist Folk of Chon Daen came to pay reverence, and asked Luang Por Tob to build the temple of Wat pra Puttabat Khao Noi, which was at the time was only a small Samnak Songk Sangha station in the forest.

Luang Por Tob accepted and built Kuti Hut dormitories for the Monks, an Uposatha Shrine Room, a Sala Bprian, and improved the facilities of the temple, transforming it into a large and popular temple for the local community, which was then raised in official status from the status of ’Samnak Songk’ and registered as a ‘Wat’ (fully fledged Temple).

Luang Por Tob passed away on the 14th of March 2519 BE, on the fourth phase of the fourth lunar month, at the age of 95 years old, after 75 years of ordained life.

The current abbot of Wat Chang Phueak (Wat Chon Daen), Pra Kroo Wimol Pacharagij, who is a direct transmission lineage Looksit of Luang Por Tob, says that Luang Por Tob had given instructions before his death, that his body should not be cremated, because one day in the future, his body would become of use to the temple in some way.

So after his death, the Looksit of Luang Por Tob took his body, and placed it inside a glass coffin. The provincial offices then built a Roop Muean statue of Luang Por Tob, and a shrine area for its placement, so that Devotees could worship Luang Por Tob’s image and his Relics.

In the present Era, Wat Chang Phueak (Wat Chon Daen) is a place where Buddhists from around South-East Asia and the rest of the World come in Pilgrimage and to sight-see. Hundreds and Thousands of devotees visit the temple every day to pay reverence to the relics of Luang Por Tob, and beseech his blessings. Luang Por Tob’s body has not deteriorated, and has calcified to become stone over the years, and remains in the same condition as it was when he was first placed into the glass coffin.

Each year, the temple performs a ritual to change his robes. The used robes which are removed, are cut up into pieces and given to the Devotees to use as articles of Faith, Good Fortune and Protection of the Blessings of Luang Por Tob.

The amulets of Luang Por Tob are amongst the most highly preferred of any master, with his Roop Lor Hnaa Farang, and the Rian Dode Rom Parachute coin, and Rian Paetch Rab coin being the most highly sought after amulets in his image, and his Takrut Tone spells being the most highly preferred of his Talismanic ‘Krueang Rang’ type amulets

As far as amulets are concerned, Luang Por Tob excelled in this Wicha, and created more than 200 different kinds of amulets during his trajectory as a Sorceror Monk, including Muan Sarn Sacred Powders amulets, Roop Lor Loi Ongk Statuettes, Takrut and other amulets. So many of his amulets have become world famous classics and highly renowned for their magical power. His famous Roop Lor Hnaa Farang, Roop Lor Hua Mai Kheed, and Roop Lor Awk Sir are immensely sought after by collectors and devotees of the amulet appreciation societies, and fetch very high prices these days.

LP Tob Wat Chang Phueak Master Monk

His charms and Talismans are legendary for their power of Kong Grapan Chadtri, Klaew Klaad, and Maha Ud Magic. His Takrut Tone Tak Daay Cord-Bound Yantra scroll spells are the most highly sought after amulets in the ’Sian Pra’ amulet collector societies, and carry heavy prices to them, and are immensely rare to find. One of the more highly documented and revered talismanic charms of the great master, the Takrut Sam Dork, which is rarer than the famous Takrut Sariga Koo, but similar in its Magical nature. This exhibit is in Sam Kasat ‘3 Kings’) version using three different alchemical metal types of yantra Foils to make the scroll spells, coated in Muan Sarn Sacred Powders and bound together with Daay Akom cords and lacquered amulet over a Century Old. The Takrut is coated in some Muan sarn, and wrapped with cord binding and given ‘Long Rak’ lacquer, from the Great Olden days Guru Master, Luang Por Glan, of Wat Prayatikaram, in Ayuttaya’.

Luang Por Glan was known to be highly Adept with a large number of Magical Wicha, be it the Wicha Fan Dab (Swordfighting), or the Science and Art of fighting with Ancient Weaponry, and had Mastered the Secret Ancient Wicha Kong Grapan Chadtri, of the Olden days Sorceror Warriors, who used Magic to protect them in Wars. This Takrut is Wicha Pistamorn and Possesses both Protective Powers and Magical powers of Attraction.

Takrut Sariga Sam Kasat Mad Chueak Long Rak Luang Por Glan Wat Prayatikaram Ayuttaya

Luang Por Glan’s Fame for Magical prowess caused many people to come and satisfy their curiosity as to whether Luang Por’s Magic was as powerful as rumour had it, and would come to the temple to test him out. Luang Por Glan always knew beforehand and sensed it, when a devotee was approaching to try to test his Magic and his Abilities.

One day a very influential and feared ‘Nak Leng’ (Mafia Gangster) from another Province, came to ask to test his Wicha, and Luang Por Glan agreed, and began by inviting the gangster to shoot at a piece of white cloth Luang Por would throw into the air.

Luang Por Glan then told the Gangster to shoot at another piece of white cloth, and threw it into the air. The Gangster fired at it, but once more, the gun clicked, the bullet remained in the gun, and the devotees gasped in amazement, as did the Gangster. The Gangster was filled with respect and reverence, and prostrated in humble appreciation of the powerful magic of Luang Por Glan.

Another famous Wicha of Luang Por Glan, was the Wicha Look Bao (Wicha Chadtri). The wicha Look Bao is a Wicha based in Kong Grapan Yuu Kong Invincibility magic. This Wicha would allow very heavy objects to be placed onto a person, but the objects will feel light and weightless, and be unable to crush the person.

Takrut Amulets of Luang Por Glan

The weight of the stones would be enough to break the neck of any person under usual circumstances, but the devotees would feel nothing. This became the method of finalising the spell by throwing the stone onto the devotee after receiving the blessing, as the ‘Khuen Kroo’ ritual, to invoke the Guru (Kroo Ruesi) to protect and bless the devotee.

Luang Por Glan , was the Kroo Ba Ajarn of the Great Luang Por An, who inherited the position of Abbot of Wat Prayat after the passing of Luang Por Glan. Luang Por Glan was one of the Greatest Masters of his Era, continuing the Ancient Wicha from his truly Olden days Kroo Ba Ajarn LP Muang who he inherited , at Wat Pradoo Song Tam.

It is said that the Great Luang Por An (Wat Prayatikaram), was once practicing Vipassana Kammathana Mindfulness Meditations in the Uposatha Shrineroom at Wat prayat during the time that he was still practicing under the tutelage of Luang Por Glan, and that, as he was meditating in the Uposatha, he saw Luang Por Glan walk in, sit down in front of him, and start speaking to teach him some more advanced methods.

The strange thing was, that Luang Por An knew that Luang Por Glan was over in the Kuti Building conversing with Devotees who had come to beseech his Wisdom and Spiritual Advice. he then realised that Luang Por Glan was able to be in two places at the same time, by sending a nimitta vision of himself into the Uposadha to teach his apprentice Luang Por An!

The Takrut of Luang Por Glan are highly renowned for their immense Kong Grapan Chadtri Maha Ud power, and are known to be empowered with the Kata and Yant Pra Puttakun, Pra Tammakun, Pra Sangkakun (Pra Trai Soranakom), the Wicha of the Kata Pra Baramee 30 Tat, and the Wicha Pra Jao Sip Chaat (10 Jataka).

Prakot Khaen Pirod Ancient Warriors armband, made from plaided Corpse Cloth Yantra Sinjana Cords with Ancient China Lacquer, an extremely rare talismanic ancient Amulet of Luang Por Muang Wat Ban Tuan. Made Circa 2450 – 2460 BE or earlier. The Prakot Khaen merasures 12 Inches long (hoop 2 Inches), allowing a 10 inch diameter span. This item is an extreme rarity and a top collector’s talismanic amulet of master class status. The Prakot Khaen was a magical ritual regalia for warriors in olden days to protect themselves in battle, which became also a ritual ceremonial wear of Muay Thai Warriors as Wartimes became a thing of the past, and modern times preserved the tradition with the Martial Art of Muay Thai.

Prakot Aew Long Rak Chart Jeen Boran Pre 2460 BE Ancient Amulet Luang Por Muang Wat Ban Tuan

Luang Por Muang Jantasaro, of Wat Ban Tuan, Amper Ban Tuan, Kanjanaburi Province, is an Old Gaeji Ajarn Guru Monk of Great Fame who was in his Heyday during the First World War. He was around in the same era as the Great Luang Por Ngern of Wat bang Klan and was a very famous and revered Master during those days.

His most famous and sought after ancient amulets were and are now more than ever, his Rian Pum Luang Por Muang (differing faces Hnaa Hnum and Hnaa gae/Young Old Face) of 2460 and also his Waen Pirod Warrior Rings of Protection, which are even more extremely rare to find these days. Even during the time he was still alive, is Waen Pirod were a most sought after item, and anybody who owned one would be unable to convince to part with it.

Nowadays, his Waen Pirod are amongst some of the rarest items to be found in Thai Amulet collectorship, in the ‘Krueang Rang’ (Occult Talismans) Category of Amulets. Serious Collectors and Devotees of Essentially Rare amulets and Talismans in the Thai Collector scene are known to be very fervent about wanting to own a Waen Pirod of Luang Por Muang, which are so difficult to find, as to make them the dream of many a collector. In the below picture we can see the true ageing characteristics of the rak chart daeng ancient red chinese lacquer used, which has blackened over the passage of a century or more

Most ‘Sian Pra’ (expert collectors and traders) will not sell their Waen/Khaen Pirod, but will only place it in competition or on show for admiration, but hardly ever are prepared to part with them for any price.

This is because those in the know, are aware that Luang Por Muang did not make so many of these rings, for the fact that his method of making them adhered to the Ancient Wicha and that this meant, that the extremely complex methods used limited the amount he was able to make. So he never made that many, and would also not hand them out easily to just anybody, because he never made them in any mass quantities.

In those days, Guru masters would not allow their devotees to assist in making mass productions, and so each amulet would pass only through the hands of the master and be self made and self empowered (this rule of course, does not apply to the case of smelted coins of course, and is specifically true for talismans, Takrut and similar hand made amulets). Luang Por did not make them for fundraising or other reasons, and would only make them for special reasons in special circumstances, for specific persons or reasons.

Their magic power is also unquestioned, for the way that Luang Por Muang would perform his Ritual Method of creating and empowering these rings of power in the ancient traditional method of applied Wicha (Sorcery).

He would use ‘Pha Hor Sop Dtaay Hoeng’ (cloth used to wrap Hoeng Prai corpses who died in sudden circumstances – a prerequisite for Prai Necromantic Sorcery power to be at its most powerful) cloth for their making. He use the full and complete ‘Dtamra’ (formula of legend) of the Wicha used dureing the Ancient Ayuttaya period, which he had recieved passed down to him from his lineage Masters, which was used by the first Kings of Thailand (Pra Naresuan Maharaj).

Once he has made and bound the rings into their shape and form, he would then perform Invocations and Ritual Methods of Empowerment, and then throw the rings into the blazin ritual fire. If the ring would birn, then he would destory it and not use it, for this would mean that not enough Samadi Meditative Concentration had been applied, and would begin again and make a new ring. Only the rings which did not burn in the fire, would be used. Those rings which proved through the fire test that they possessed true power, would be taken and covered in herbal lacquer to make them last for centuries (Pirod means burning flame, hence ‘Waen Pirod’ means Flaming Ring – and is fireproof).

Luang Por Puang Jantasaro – Gaeji Ajarn of Wat Ban Tuan

Luang Por would use a reddish lacquer similar to Chinese lacquer which was used in those days, but which turns black in time. He would dip the rings many times to get a thick coating, but this kind of lacquer would slowly crack and form small openings as the years passed hy, which is part of the immense beauty and attraction of the Waen Pirod of Luang Por Muang.

To authenticate and know what a real Waen Pirod (for indeed such a sought after item has many forgeries around) one should know to examing the lacquer and see the slight cracks and the beige brownish sinjana cord and corpse cloth within that is visible through the cracks of the lacquer. One should also notice small areas of reddish tints where the original red lacquer color still resonates through the darkened lacquer surface.

Luang Por Muang’s famous Hwaen and Khaen Pirod and Chueak Kart Aew are reputed to have many magical powers, amongst them are said to be invincibility and safety in dangerous situations, as well as in the olden days as people would have to enter the deep jungle, that the ring will protect agains all sorts of dangeorus animals, ghosts and demons, and poisonous beats such as cobras, scorpions and hunting animals such as the tiger. Demons and Prai Hian Ghosts will not dare to approach. Maha Ud (gunstopper), and protection agains all sorts of weaponry. This is a truly ancient amulet, and is is roughty one century old.

A most attractively designed Rian coin type amulet in Nuea Tong Daeng, that has become a classic favoured amulet of the devotees of many masters, all of who were involved in the empowerment of this amulet. The amulet is however officially contained within the Tamniab Pantheons of Luang Phu To and of Wat Ko Non, despite so many other masters being involved in the empowerments made in two ceremonies at Wat Hnang and Wat Ko Non.

The Rian Pra Pidta Nirodha Buddha Coin, was released from the temple of Wat Hnang in the year 2514 BE, along with various other amulets, to be blessed at Wat Ko Non. This edition included the famous 2514 BE Pra Pid Ta Nuea Takua miniature leaden amulet, which was smelted from leaden Pidta found buried in a Kru Hiding Place Chamber by Luang Phu Iam, which were placed there by him and then later found by a later abbot of Wat Ko Non

The Chanuan Alchemical Metal alloys used hence contain original Pidta amulets of Luang Phu Rod and Luang Phu Iam smelted into them, which were dug up from the Kru chamber in 2512 BE two years previously.

The Pidta amulets were taken from Wat Hnang to be re-blessed and re-released during the 2514 BE Look Nimit Arahant Ball burial Ceremony Celebrating the New Uposatha Shrine Room at Wat Ko Non. The Ceremony was presided over by the Great Luang Phu To, of Wat Pradoo Chimplee, and a host of some of the greatest Masters of that Era, including;

Presenting a Legendary Ancient Takrut Hnang Suea Kong Grapan Chadtri Tiger amulet, over a Century Old, made from Hnaa Pak Suea, wrapped with cord binding and Rak Chaat red lacquer, from the Great Olden days Guru Master, Luang Por Glan, of Wat Prayatikaram, in Ayuttaya’.

Luang Por Glan was known to be highly Adept with a large number of Magical Wicha, be it the Wicha Fan Dab (Swordfighting), or the Science and Art of fighting with Ancient Weaponry. Luang Por had Mastered the Secret Ancient Wicha Kong Grapan Chadtri, of the Olden days Sorceror Warriors, who used Magic to protect them in Wars. This Takrut is Wicha Suea Tiger Skin Wicha and is powerful Kong Grapan Chadtri Maha Amnaj.

The gangster shot at it, but the cocked hammer fell on the bullet and the bullet remained in the gun. The only sound was that of the metal Hammer of the gun hitting against the bullet. Then Luang Por asked the Gangster to shoot into the sky, which he did, and the gun fired as normal, with a very loud bang. Luang Por Glan then told the Gangster to shoot at another piece of white cloth, and threw it into the air. The Gangster fired at it, but once more, the gun clicked, the bullet remained in the gun, and the devotees gasped in amazement, as did the Gangster. The Gangster was filled with respect and reverence, and prostrated in humble appreciation of the powerful magic of Luang Por Glan.

The Wicha was proven with Luang Por Glan’s devotees by performing the test pf throwing a very heavy stone onto the devotee after the Wicha was administered to them (usually as a Sak Yant Tattoo or as a Spell blown onto the devotee). The wight of the stones would be enough to break the neck of any person under usual circumstances, but the devotees would feel nothing. This became the method of finalising the spell by throwing the stone onto the devotee after receiving the blessing, as the ‘Khuen Kroo’ ritual, to invoke the Guru (Kroo Ruesi) to protect and bless the devotee.
