WIP Wednesday - King/Uea
Tumblr media
King bought the kitten ears, collar and sleek fluffy tail three days into their fuck buddy arrangement.
He’s thought about Uea on his hands and knees with the collar around his pale throat and the tail’s plug holding him open and ready nearly every day in the weeks since they arrived.
He chose to save the tail for another night and with his pulse hammering wildly, he presented the box to Uea with a choice.
“Will you wear this for me?” King had asked, breathlessly aroused and barely holding back, hopeful but desperate for Uea to know that King was leaving it up to him.
Thirty minutes later, after the fastest shower of his life during which he was tempted to jerk himself off to make tonight last longer, King steps into the bedroom. They’ve been fucking for a couple of months now and despite King wishing otherwise, there are still barriers between them. Uea won’t shower with him. He doesn’t walk around naked, pulling on a robe or his clothes afterwards.
Tonight’s no different. Uea’s wearing a robe and waiting for him on the bed, perched on his haunches wearing the kitten ears and collar.
King has been holding himself back since Uea fell for his bullshit and agreed to a fuck buddies situation. He’s never been ashamed of his sexual tastes, even the more adventurous things he enjoys. The sex between them, despite being relatively tame, has been some of the hottest, most intense of his life.
King’s so turned on he feels unsteady on his feet. “You’re so goddamn sexy,” he says, out of breath from the anticipation. He drops to the floor on his hands and knees.
King wanted to fuck Uea the second he saw him. Having him several times a week has done nothing to dim the desire. Uea is constantly surprising him, agreeing to things - to kitten ears and a collar - that King would have thought he’d object to. Maybe he should have taken a chance and included the tail.

POSSIBLE CW/TW FOR BED FRIEND EPISODE 5
Nothing major this episode, other than another flashback to Uea's stepdad, and some nasty text from his mother, it's just some uncomfortable vibes with their new coworker Krit.
6:30-6:53 King startles Uea, there's a few seconds flashback to Uea's stepdad (the one from ep 3) 6:48-6:53.
The uneasy vibes:
15:15-16:40 King and Uea are out for dinner, Uea gets a text from his mother cursing at him for not responding and demanding money again, he wires her some. He's just upset, nothing intense happens.
26:25-27:13 Krit chats up Uea, he's visibly uncomfortable, forcing politeness.
27:30-29:20 Krit chats up Uea again, King shows up showing posessiveness and protectiveness over Uea.
33:34-34:30 King and Uea run into Krit again, he makes innuendos towards Uea but King defends him.
On a positive note we're getting Kitten Uea next week, and on the downside Krit will start getting touchy with Uea.
Hope this helps, please lmk if you think I should add anything else 🙏

Re-hop-ulation of the rabbits!
European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
Tumblr media
Portrait of the European rabbit, taken and owned by J.J. Harrison (2009).
Habitat and Burrows
These rabbits tend to roam and burrow into short grasslands with shelter surrounding it; hedgerows and woodlands ideally. Regions with harder soils tend have more burrows as they resist collapse. Rabbit burrows are around 10-50cm wide depending on the size of the rabbit and can be several feet deep. Burrows tend to have a sort of ‘escape exit’, dug by the rabbits to use if predators invade their homes. Female rabbits tend to dig more efficiently than males.

Reproduction
Male rabbits (called bucks) and female rabbits (called does) usually have a very fertile relationship, producing 3-7 kittens per litter. Dominant bucks are polygamous so father many litters with multiple does, whilst lower-ranking bucks and does tend to be monogamous. Bucks become sexually mature at 4 months, and does at 3-5 months. Rabbits let each other know when they are ready to mate by a process called ‘chinning’ – releasing a smelly secretion from their chin glands. Rabbit pregnancies lasts for around 30 days, and the baby rabbits (called kittens) are born blind, deaf and almost completely naked. The kittens are fed once a night for a few minutes.

Invasiveness
The European rabbit was introduced to Britain after the Roman invasion in AD 43. These had negative impacts on crop yields and native wildlife, and was solved using ferrets to reduce their numbers. Since then, the European rabbit has been introduced to Hawaii (1903), South Africa (1900) as well as Australia and New Zealand (1859). The Australian government introduced myxomatosis to reduce the rabbit population, but the present populations are now largely immune. Essentially, rabbits are considered a destructive pest almost everywhere.

Disease
Myxomatosis -  Myxomatosis a highly contagious virus which is spread through biting insects such as fleas/mites/mosquitoes, and is normally fatal within 10 days. It causes the rabbit to have swellings/ulcers, discharge from the nose and eyes, lethargy and loss of appetite, blindness due to inflammation and respiratory problems. It first reached the UK in the 1950′s and caused huge damage to the wild rabbit population.

Rabbit haemorrhagic disease (RHD) - RHD and RHD2 are different strains of the rabbit haemorrhagic disease. It’s highly contagious and over 1.3 million pet rabbits are at risk – even more feral rabbits are at risk. It’s spread across surfaces like hay through excretion. The incubation period is 3-9 days, and has little to no symptoms – just sudden death, caused by haemorrhages, hepatic necrosis (liver gangrene) and pulmonary edema (water-filled lungs).

Fic: Pretty One (King/Uea, explicit)
Pretty One Bed Friend the Series King/Uea Explicit 2500 words
King bought the kitten ears, collar and and a matching fluffy tail three days into his and Uea’s fuck buddy arrangement.
King sent Uea home, sleepy and well-fucked and spent an hour online, trying to find the perfect pair of ears, a delicate collar that would emphasize the elegant lines of Uea’s throat and a tail with a moderately-sized plug. The latter proved to be the most difficult to find. Everything he came across was crude or monstrous. King had an image in mind of Uea on his hands and knees, something soft and furry between his pale thighs, his hole pink and tender where it clenched around the plug.

Nuts About Squirrels!
The Eastern Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)
Habitat and diet
Tumblr media
Image taken by Wytham Woods, University of Oxford
The grey squirrel is typically 18-20 inches long, its bushy tail being half it’s length. They tend to breed mid-December/early January and have a lifespan of around 2-3 years. Their young (called kittens) are born hairless and blind, and spend 10-12 weeks in a leaf nest in a tree before venturing outside. Though grey squirrels have numerous predators (hawks, owls and foxes), predation doesn’t really affect the population size in areas with good cover and food.

Grey squirrels typically inhabit woodland, though this species is the most adaptable of its squirrel relatives, so tend to inhabit urban areas also. The habitat needs many mature fruit/nut producing trees, as well as an abundance of natural dens and tree cavities for food and shelter.
youtube
A video I took of a grey squirrel jumping branches on the UEA campus.
Grey squirrels tend to feed on fruit/nuts in autumn and early winter - acorns, hickory nuts and walnuts being a favourite to store for the long winter months ahead. In late winter and early spring they eat tree buds, and in summer they eat fruits and berries. They even eat fungi, insects and bird eggs if they are available.

Where did they come from?
Grey squirrels originated from eastern USA and North Canada, typically in deciduous forests. They were introduced to Italy and England from the USA in the 1870′s, as fashionable additions to estates. However, their adaption to the new environment was so successful that they quickly inhabited woodland niches, but as a consequence caused the native Red Squirrel to decline.
Tumblr media

Grey vs. Red -
Because of how quickly the Grey squirrel adapted to UK environments, their population numbers soared, which meant that the impacts of their presence quickly became a problem:
Grey squirrels tend to strip the bark off trees which leaves the trees vulnerable to disease and deterioration, tree mortality rates are increasing which is devastating for woodland conservation groups.
Because the red and grey squirrel occupy identical niches in woodland forests, the competition has driven     away and caused the death of almost all the red squirrels in England – as well     as this, grey squirrels have been spreading the Squirrelpox virus which has     caused a large decline in the red squirrel population.
Their predation on     endangered birds nests has been an increasing frustration for conservation     efforts, and their (failing) competitors do not fall short with the red     squirrels, but also other endangered species like the dormouse.

Control programmes are being discussed and put in place for the grey squirrel, which will hopefully cause a decline in their numbers so that the red squirrel has another chance to reclaim its native home.
