“it’s just nine months baby. i’ll be back in no time, alright? i love you so much.” rintarou plants a kiss on your forehead, cupping your cheeks. “just nine?” you ask frowning, “just nine.” he responds smiling, although in the back of his head he knows he’ll go crazy not seeing you everyday.

another away game it is. this time longer than you thought it’d be. almost a year without your boyfriend, almost a year without any company, almost a year without your soulmate, your other half. nine months seems like a short time but for you and rin, nine months is just enough time to change someone- good or bad.

you watch as he drags his luggage away, carrying his duffel bag on his shoulder, he turns around and smirks, “i love you” is what you read off from his lips. you give him a small wave, whispering “i love you too” even though you knew he wouldn’t hear you.

nine seconds pass and you’re standing still in place watching his figure enter the plane.

nine minutes pass and you finally snap out of it, texting him a quick “fly safe rin”, you don’t know why you’re being dramatic its just nine months.

nine hours pass and you’re alone in your bed, thinking about how his plane ride is going, japan to argentina is a long time. and here you are alone in bed thinking about it.

“k if it’s nothing then show me”, she asked and with that he instantly said no.

“whatttt?! why not? what’cha hiding tarō?”, she was absolutely ruining his moment right now. “i told you it’s nothing..” he rolled his eyes jokingly.

SUNA RINTAROU -

suna loved teasing you. loved getting on your nerves. loved seeing the way you tried to keep your cool whenever you’d argue. he didn’t know why though- why those little reactions were so cute to him or why he felt butterflies in his stomach when you’d tape his fingers, or pass him a water-bottle or even just looking at his direction. he never understood why he felt like this if he hated you so much. well at least he swore he did.

when it was your first day at inarizaki, you’d already bumped into suna two times, the first time he didn’t mind but the second time, he could’ve sworn you were doing it on purpose. third time- he’s had enough. he confronted you about it but you couldn’t help but stick up for yourself- which only caused a verbal argument to occur.

that was just the first incident.. on your second week at inarizaki, you were told by your school guidance counselor that it was crucial for you to sign up for a club or extracurricular activity since it would look good for your college application. in agreement she listed many clubs, you chose the easiest- well what seemed to be the easiest- managing the boys volleyball club. that’s when you noticed the jackass you fought with a couple weeks ago.

throughout that whole practice you avoided him- and he avoided you, though he couldn’t stop but avert his eyes to you every now and then.

you seemed to be doing something right as their manager cause they accepted you right away. you should’ve seen it at the start how difficult it was to control these boys.

after months of being their manager- you’ve gotten pretty close to them, all of them. except one of course. suna rintarou. you couldn’t tell what you hated more, his stupid pussy bangs, his cocky grin, his big ego, or his stupid cute stupid face.

you two constantly bickered and argued over such little things, him of course always trying to bring in flirting into it. you’d thought that maybe that was just his personality- he probably talks to every girl this way.

“maybe if you weren’t so lazy you wouldn’t be so tired right now and complaining about how you want to sleep!”

“well maybe if you weren’t such a controlling manager than i’d be able to rest!”

“well maybe if you shut up i could actually think right now instead of arguing with you!”

now suna never realized he likes you. it took this poor boy months to realize he loves you. he first noticed it when you started popping up in his dreams, when you crossed his mind every night. when he started looking at the moon, and couldn’t stop thinking of you. that’s when he’s had enough.

it was late at night when you received a text, well not just one text, your entire phone was blowing up with messages, all from the same person.

“y/n wake up” is what spammed you inbox. when you opened the messages app to see who the 69 messages came from it was suna rintarou. you called him, “ughh what do you want” you said, groaning into the speaker. it was at least 3 am, what was he doing calling you this late? “open your window pretty.” was all he said.

so you did what he asked you. you rolled out of bed, looking in the mirror before doing anything, then you reached to your window, opening it. “suna?”, you asked, still yawning.

what was he doing climbing your window at 3 in the fucking morning?

“hey.” he looks tired, like he hasn’t slept at all this night.

“what.. are you doing here ?” you ask.

“y/n i like you. a lot. and i know it may not seem like it but i just can’t get you out of my head no matter what i do, and it’s just annoying. god you’re annoying, this is annoying. it’s annoying how much i like you, it’s annoying how many times you cross my mind, and it’s annoying how many times i’ve wished for this moment to happen, so here goes nothing. i like you.” suddenly it felt like the world stopped, like every living thing just held out its breath, and with a deep sigh he finally took a breath in.

you aren’t sure whether he’s joking or not, but hell you aren’t joking, “i like you too. a lot.” in a swift movement you tug on his shirt pulling in for a kiss. he pulls back, “i don’t think you know how long i’ve been waiting for this” he whispers. “shut up and kiss me, you loser.” was all you said.

- oh how the tables have turned, in this case you are teasing him and testing him. throughout the rest of the practice, you kept staring at him, and when you passed him his water bottle you made sure to brush your hand against his.

he is very energetic and happy. he doesn’t notice it at first cause he’s too busy looking at one of his daughter’s toys, picking it up and just curiously staring at it. then just right above his eyes he sees his daughter walking and he drops everything in his hands and just stares in shock.

“y/n ? y/n !!” he yells, and from across the hall you start walking over to him, “what’s wrong ?” you say, and you look down to see your daughter waddling towards her dad.

“oh my god.”, as you say that, his eyes lit up. bringing his hands to carry up his daughter, “she did it!!! she learnt how to walk!!”, he carries her on his shoulders, bringing her around the house, running around as she giggles.

you watch from afar and admire your husband entertaining your daughter, he runs back into the room, dropping her on her bed. “good job baby!!!” he says, grinning straight at her, as she begins clapping her hands. then he turns to look at you, giving you a gentle smile.

KITA SHINSUKE -

normally you take care of the baby whilst kita does chores outside the farm, but while you were hanging up your clothes to dry by the sun, kita had to feed the baby.

reading the ingredients and instructions for the baby food- he carefully followed them, and without even knowing, his baby toddler son was slowly walking towards him. and stunned to say the least- kita slightly jumped- taking a minute to process.

his eyes widened at the sight, calling for your name. he started smiling and told him to carefully walk towards you.

doing as his dad told him to do- your son came waddling to you like a little penguin. kita quickly grabbed the polaroid camera sitting on top of the kitchen counter and snapped a photo of your son walking towards you for the first time.

when the polaroid picture started printing, he took it off and while the ink was spreading around, he admired your beauty and smiled at the sight of his family.

AKAASHI KEIJI -

you two are actually preparing for this moment- you were holding the small infant by the arms, trying to guide your son to walking.

akaashi was holding an old vintage aesthetic digital camera, vlogging the entire thing.

“c’mon!! go walk to daddy”, you signaled a little wave and pointed your finger towards keiji, signaling for your son to walk towards him.

your son didn’t quite seem to get the hint, so you just gave up with a shrug and small pout, “babe c’mon! let me try”, keiji said, carefully passing you the camera, you held up the camera to video your husband holding your son, “is it on?” keiji asks, you give a nod.

“c’mon boy, walk to mommy? just try at least please..” he says, your son nods and attempts to stand up, keiji supporting his every move, “you got this.. just walk straight to her” he whispers, the infant slowly stands up, walking carefully, your mouth opening more and more every time he takes a step. “that’s it, go straight to mommy, alright?” your husband faintly whispers, trying to not jinx it but also motivating the small boy at the same time.

as your son reaches your arm, you squeal excitingly, handing the camera to keiji, he points the camera lense at you, and you and your son both wave to the camera smiling, “good boy!!“ you turn to give a kiss to your son’s cheek.

“rin this is dumbbb!!”, you said, exaggerating the ‘dumb’, “it is not!” he said, gasping dramatically.

suna rintarou, your boyfriend of nine months had dragged you out to your local park. he said it’d be a ‘romantic picnic’ but right now you’re sitting on a minions blanket he bought from the dollar tree store, with a shopping bag as a picnic basket, the food being mini cupcakes in which he also bought from the dollar tree store. he also told you he’d bring special grape wine, but instead he brought cherry pop soda. “it’s not stupid alright ? this is very much romantic.”

“rin, i’m sitting on bob the minions face right now!!”, as much as you think how dumb this is right now, you loved every second of it. you would never admit it though. “so? what’s wrong with minions, i thought you loved them as a kid?”, he asked.

“yeah but- okay nothings wrong with it! when you said we were going on a picnic i thought you know, maybe with an actual plaid picnic blanket, and a picnic basket, and actual food and actual wine!”, he frowned at your words. he knew you were joking- but he did do all this for a reason.

“well, you said you love minions, hence the minion blanket. you said you like the cheap cupcakes cause their sweet, also i looked around the store back and forth for 30 minutes straight and couldn’t find a basket. also i didn’t want to get any ‘special wine’ cause i don’t want you to get drunk. i want you to actually remember this date, plus you told me two weeks ago that cherry pop soda is your favorite. so if i must, lets just say its cherry wine.” he said, finally letting out a breath, as if he said that all in one breath.

“you remembered all that? i don’t even remember telling you some of that rin..”.

“yeah well, now i just sound corny..”, you chuckled at his response.

“hey this ‘cherry wine’ looks good. you wanna try it?”, you smiled brightly at him.

“yeah, cherry wine.”

SUNA RINTAROU

- is literally watching you 24/7 because he’s scared you might hurt yourself even more or something like that

- he will give you “massages” and they make it feel worse but you’ll never tell him that..

- he’s always texting you stuff like “does your body hurt?” “are you okay?” “do you need me to come over” “do u need advil” because he just wants to make sure youre okay 😭

- sometimes he could be real mean and decide to say stuff like “thats why your injured rn 🙄🙄” he’d say it as a joke obviously but loves to uses it against u 😭

- he’s very overdramatic, like if he sees you on the couch reaching to get the remote he will be like “nonono!! let me” and even if its the most simplest action ever, he still goes out of his way to do anything for u

- he googles everything and anything that will help your injury like, “does ice help?” “should you start moving more or just stay put?” “ice or heat?” and he’ll continue googling all these questions trying to help you instead of actually calling a doctor or anything 😭

KITA SHINSUKE

- always telling you to rest, he tells you to take naps, go to sleep earlier, and just try to sleep off the pain

- he’s so very much responsible so if he has a question or you about what and what not you should do, he’s already dialing your doctor asking what you should and should not be doing

- would only ever cook healthy stuff from now on… every time you ask him for a candy or something sweet he says that you should regain your strength back before ruining it with sweets

- is by your side 24/7 and has everything prepared for you if you need it

- he’s always blaming the sport you play, saying that you’re overworking yourself and that you should rest a lot more

- he basically is like your mom, he’s always reminding you to take your vitamins and medicine, and to eat healthy, sleep more, and he doesn’t mean to sound so controlling but he can’t help but be worried about you!!

MIYA OSAMU

- cooks you whatever you crave

- your injury is basically a free pass for you to get spoiled by him!!

- he doesn’t really know what to do but at the same time he does, if that makes sense.. he calls kita up when he needs help and wants to know what to do, and plus he always has atsumu too if he needs help!

- doesn’t want to come off as extremely clingy so he lets you do some stuff independently but will keep a watch on you just incase something happens

- his food tastes 10x better because he wants to make sure it tastes good just for you <3

- overall he knows you’re extremely strong and that you’ll overcome it but for the meantime he just wants to take care of you ☺️
