I think Sora’s struggle is very relatable

Because I basically grew up on kingdom hearts like I was 3 when the first game came out and only 7 when the “second” one game out

And this game has always taught me to

“follow my heart!”

“Protect my friends!”

“Be my own hero!”

“Create my own destiny”

And then we get to kingdom hearts 3

Sora’s not a kid anymore even though he certainly acts like one but canonically he’s around 17-18 and if you grew up with KH like I have you’re around 18+ now

And Sora still talks about loving his friends and following his heart but now he’s having a harder time?

He’s struggling

He’s going to his friends for help and sometimes he mentions “our connection is weaker.. I don’t want to be forgotten” and he’s struggling with his own self worth because he doesn’t think of himself as strong anymore because of things that have happened in his past

And I think that’s very relatable to our age group because we were all so used to trying to do our best in our childhood but as we grew up our best became tiring and hard and we struggle just as Sora is now

I don’t know just seeing Sora hurt and fighting to stay positive and slowly realize HE IS ENOUGH AS HE IS NOW and doesn’t have to be as perfect as he was before is so nice and heartwarming and inspiring?

Like FUCK I love Kingdom Hearts this franchise owns my fucking SOUL

As much as I'm on the side of "Don't play 3 if you don't have any KH background knowledge", my first KH game was 2 cuz I was like eight and didn't know the II symbol in the logo meant it was the second one so I went in blind and probably too young. So if someone told me I shouldn't be playing it cuz I haven't played 1 or COM yet I probably would have told them to fuck off the best way an eight year old could.

#it makes me conflicted cuz im part of the group that didnt start at kh1 #i was 4 in 2002 so... i was still too young for 2 tho #kingdom hearts #kingdon hearts 3 #theres a lot more missing pieces between 2 and 3 tho #so not playing 1 or com isnt as bad as not playing litterally every single game #but still i feel like a hypocrite cuz i was confused as hell playing 2 #but i didnt know there were other games #so i just thought things would be answered later and rolled with it for now

Tickle me pink, y'all, we're almost there!

SPEAKING of pink, Marluxia. Oh Marluxia, you flowet boi you. I didn't have much expirence fighting him in Chain of Memories, but in KHII:FM+ I had a hard, yet fun time fighting him. Haven't fought his Data verson yet, but if it's anything like his Absent Silhouette fight, it'll be fun yet annoying all at once.

Liked how he was protrayed in the CoM manga, tho. He was kinda intimidating, but he also had a flair, y'know?
