This is the first time in a year that Riku has shown any signs of happiness.
Throughout the entire year, he kept his true feelings hidden, just as he has done in past Kingdom Hearts games, particularly Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
One thing to know about Riku is he's not one to easily share his emotions or open up about the dreams he’s been having about his lost best friend, the one person who’s most important to him.
He never confided in Yen Sid or Merlin, who, although they are mentor figures to him, are not particularly close friends. Riku isn’t comfortable discussing his personal feelings with those he’s not close to.
Riku’s heartache over Sora was so evident that even Yen Sid and Merlin noticed it, which is why Yen Sid sent Fairy Godmother to help. Just rewatch the Limit Cut episode again and Riku's heartache about Sora is clearly evident.

Kairi & Vor: Super Strength?
Tumblr media
Vor can toss a whole ass boulder with her bare hands.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kairi is the only one who was able to overpower Xemnas in ReMind despite still being pretty new at keyblade wielding.
Tumblr media
Kairi was also able to push back Xehanort and force his keyblade back.

Sorry to bother u. I just want to ask a question about Kairi’s line here “まだ翻弄しようというの” this line from MoM game the English version of this line is “I’ve had enough of this!” So is it really the same?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JP: まだ翻弄しようというの!
EN: I have had enough of this!
TR: You're still trying to mess with me/You're still trying to make fun of me!
To answer your question, the English version isn't an exact or literal translation, but I'd say the basic idea/concept is the same. Kairi is fed up with Xehanort messing with her in both versions, it's just the focus of the dialogue in the English version is her feelings about the matter whereas in the Japanese version she's calling out Xehanort directly about what he's doing.
So why the difference? Could be the English version trying to match the lip flaps/timing. The more literal English translation also sounds a bit clunkier than what the official version went with. Without hearing from the translator(s), it's impossible to know for sure.
And because this is me, I wanted to share the various meanings honrō can have, it's interesting that Xehanort is literally tossing Kairi around in this scene and honrō can mean tossed about/buffeted.

Japanese screenshot is from here. English screenshot is from here.
Thanks for the ask!

So as of 2-3 and UX/DR, we can assume that not every wielder's Nobody is able to summon a Keyblade if they don't remember being able to, and so far only two of them remembered the wielders they were when their hearts and bodies were separated.
But apart from Braig and Xehanort, the games up until now have in hindsight been very cagey about showing anyone else's fighting styles in action. From what I can find or recall, we've seen Lauriam with Divine Rose, but not whether he'd use Marluxia's floral attack patterns with it, and I can't find if we ever saw Elrena's Keyblade at all. We've only seen Dilan and Aeleus at their posts. We haven't seen Even or Ienzo in combat. Lea's spar with Ven was skipped by a cutscene, and Isa was a spectator afaik. Demyx and Luxord, we still don't know who they were, only that Xemnas claimed the Keyblade War involved them.
So do Nobodies who retain their human form develop their other powers when they become Nobodies, or are these powers retained from before they were Nobodies? Out of Organization XIII, Roxas was unique for inheriting Sora's/Ven's powers before he recognized his dreams as their memories, and Xemnas' Ethereal Blades are retained from being Xehanort. Now, due to their prior resemblance to one of his Keyblades, it can't be ruled out yet that Ethereal Blades could've come from formchanging that one Keyblade with the clock hands. Which could perhaps also mean that Graceful Dahlia and Foudre were formchanged Keyblades that couldn't revert until Marluxia and Larxene remember their original forms, but at this time, this answer can't be offered without also suggesting it for the rest of Organization XIII. (Though, if this were true, it could explain what allowed them to maintain their humanity as Nobodies even if they didn't remember being wielders.)
Which brings me to Naminé.
I had to start this whole post over upon realizing I was about to make a baseless claim. Originally, I started posting this because I'd seen a short video speculating whether Naminé is really a Nobody or something new. Which isn’t too unreasonable to ask. The lore explanation would be that while Kairi didn't meet the usual prerequisites for a Nobody, Kairi's heart separating from Sora's body instead of her own made up the difference. But Kingdom Hearts lore has amended itself before whenever characters present/are presented by previously unknown factors, so it can't be ruled out that the given explanation will later be disproven. The meta explanation is that the concept for Naminé probably came before the concept for Nobodies.
But back to the point.
Naminé has memory powers. Kairi has memory loss. Recent games have been building more suspense around the mystery of Kairi's forgotten childhood.
The question I'm raising is, if uncorrupted Nobodies only get powers that'd come from their former selves, could Kairi's amnesia have been self-inflicted?

I rewatched cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory and this scene comes to mind. If you read between the lines of this scene at the end of this Melody of Memory that something will happen to Riku, some inclined to be bad, for me is to wait-and-see.
We know that Riku and Yozora will meet or have a confrontation at some point because of the KH3 secret ending with Yozora looking down at Riku from the top of a building.
What Luxu said in Olympus is a foreboding of what's to come.

Endless possibilities for Kairi
Nomura once said the keyblade Riku gives to Kairi and where he gets it will be answered in a future installment.
As he does when he doesn't want to answer something because it will be no point in ever showing it if he just tells people.
He did it when people asked about Demyx's backstory and where he came from. He didn't say anything and he most likely will be in Missing Link and probably 4?
Tumblr media
But so much about Kairi is a mystery and at first I thought oh they're not going to do much with her, I don't think in KH4 we'll see much but then I was looking at MOM scenes and KH2 the games where people genuinely think she shines the most.
(personally her in mom doesn't do it for me because she ends up using Sora's form)
Mom is just giving people bread crumbs and it's kinda overpraised. Like you control her for a bit until Sora takes over and then you eventually control Riku. I'll admit the backstory parts were nice. It helped confirm more about the Ansem reports. But it's not really much.
Tumblr media
Her entire backstory is so mysterious.
She— a child of Radiant Garden who happens to be one of the princesses with a pure heart was seen by Xehanort and studied on through experiments until she was sent to Destiny Islands through one of the time capsules used in Union x.
Because of Xehanort and the others apprentices were doing unsupervised experiments (not sure if this was before or after they became nobodies), sending her there caused the meteor shower— the same one that happens on destiny islands where Riku makes a promise to Sora to protect him and probably have his signature necklace to him. (Though this is necklace theory it is implied this happens through various scenes in KH and the novels, and manga)
Through this revelation, they can discover and discuss where she came from and how she got to Destiny Islands, by discovering the time capsules they can figure out Union X events. The Wayfinder Trio + Kairi can figure out this information together.
Tumblr media
Why the Wayfinders? Because Ven was from the era and it could help get his memories back. Kairi is also going to be training with Aqua after MOM.
But by looking into that stuff they can find out more about her and then come across what happened to experiment X and if she really is Skuld or not (a lot of people think she is Skuld).
And Lea/Axel and Isa/Saïx come in for that part.
Tumblr media
But she has so much potential. Like KH is obviously about Sora and Riku's friendship and I think the reason why we seen so little of her is probably because Nomura might just be waiting for a good moment or game to put some backstory for Kairi.
We only got crumbs through the reports, a dialogue here and there, and then the scene in mom. And maybe just maybe we'll get an installment that tells us something extraordinary as KH does.
This is like the fourth analysis post I've done about her. She can be so interesting and so much potential and I'm thinking about another one relating to her. It's involving how the English version of KH makes her worse of a character... You'll see why soon
Post note: before anyone mentions kh3 I discussed in previous posts I didn't like her in that one because she was just training a lot and not really doing much. Then during the battle she eventually dies, well that's the shortened version
