i'm about to sound like i'm master of everything but fuck it. both sides of the argument about what frenchie and kimiko mean to each other are stupid as hell. yeah, it isn't romance in traditional way. they don't want to fuck each other raw or whatever tf and thry don't feel the need to be seen as a romantic couple. BUT IT ISN'T "THEY ARE LIKE SIBLINGS" DYNAMIC EITHER. siblings don't act like that and especially don't kiss each other. what drugs y'all on 💀 like kimiko said they are above that. they are secret third thing. they are each others family. they are soulmates. they are agape. they are philia. they are platonically in love with each other. they love each other in married people way. pls, i'm begging you

I AM FEELING EMOTIONS

Nina saying Frenchie likes to be punished because "it turns him on" broke my heart in a thousand little pieces. It absolutely disgusted me how she sees his sexuality (or sexual expressions) as some character flaw or a deranged reflection of his personality. And she, telling all those things to him, in front of Cherie and Kimiko? Can't even imagine how Frenchie was feeling at that moment. She exposing his past traumas and BLAMING HIM FOR THEM? That woman feels like the personification of everything he hates about himself, a living breathing version of all the things his traumatized mind probably tells himself every single day and it's absolutely heartbreaking to watch.

Oh, and Cherie, I love Cherie so much. The way she apologized to Kimiko as soon as she opened her eyes, How she was crying at seeing Serge being exposed like that, How she tried to free herself almost desperately as soon as Kimiko started getting beaten up? She deserves more screen time and I'm completely obsessed with the three of them together now. (fanfic material, please, someone write it)

And to finish this already too big analysis of a single scene, let me talk about how Nina making Frenchie choose between Kimiko and Cherie was such an intense moment, and how him saying "s'il vous plaît", voice broken and full of fear because He Couldn't choose and probably never will, was genius writing right there.

This whole scene hurts like hell and I will never recover from it.
