non-disruptive protest doesn't work.
aside from the fact that the point of a protest is to cause enough disruption that the government is forced to concede, there's also another element to this that i personally feel is more prevalent, especially these days with governments across the world cracking down on protest rights.
the way i see it, as do many others on the left, is that if protest is meant to force the hand of the state via disruption, but the state is the one to define what "acceptable" protest is, then there would never be a protest that works, as the state will inevitably only define protests that don't threaten the status quo as acceptable, thus preventing any real change from happening.

https://lnkd.in/esMHfHeR Christmas strikes: Anti-strike laws which will make it harder for unions to walk out delayed until New Year.
Government plans to stop future waves of strike action are set to be delayed until the New Year, i understands.
A Bill currently passing through Parliament which imposes “minimum service levels” on the railways is due to be significantly beefed up to further curb the powers of trade unions to bring services to a halt.
As part of the process, the legislation is being taken over by Grant Shapps, who has previously urged a hardline stance in talks with the unions. Hugo Gye 16 December 2022

They're running out of funds for those arrested during the kill the bill demo. One fella isn't getting out until 2029 at the earliest
So well worth donating

No caps. Going around the caps. No true rescission. Waiving pay/go. No limiting language on IRS.
Everything for @thedemocrats: This deal continues, and cements in, joe biden's progressive agenda.

March 26, 2021 - Comrade police dog sees some cops violently abuse a peaceful protester against the new police bill in Bristol and decides to step in. The good boy bites one of the scumbags on the ass, giving the protester the chance to escape arrest. [video] edit: turns out the person being attacked is a press photographer, not a protester

Hi! How can I find out about protests before they happen instead of reading about them on the news? I live in Bristol UK and want to join the kill the bill protests but don't hear about them until it's too late! Bristol Antifa and Bristol copwatch don't post about them until they've already happened
Follow the UK Anarchist Federation, they are good at posting Kill the Bill protests and similar: http://afed.org.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/Anarchistfederation/
