Overwatch x GN! Reader adopting a kid part 1

(The baby is a girl)
Mako is a good dad, a great dad even.
You’d think he’d get annoyed easily by the crying of the baby, but he simply will just scoop up the small human and cradle them ever so gently.
His nickname for his baby? “puawai iti” (little flower in the Māori language)
He’ll put his baby on his stomach with a hand on them and omg it so adorable.
You catch him staring at you while holding the baby, he’ll lie if you ask if he was smiling. (He 100% was)
When he’s out and about he has his baby in a sling on him, it has lil pachimari all over it. He also dresses her in a cute pachimari onesie!
Is scared to feed her but after you show him he’s a bit more confident. Does the airplane thing 100%.
Scared but happy, he genuinely is scared that he’ll accidentally hurt his baby by doing something stupid. But happy cause he finally gets to have a kid with you.
Makes baby clothes and it looks cute! Probably goes crazy when he sees baby shoes.
Puts all his dangerous explosive stuff on a very high shelf.
Cant change diapers for the life of him, like he will gag and vomit if he has to, so it’s your job now.
Giggles so much if she farts or burps, he takes videos of it and sends it to you with him giggling in the background.
Dresses her in very funny costumes and onesies.

Omg is so so happy he finally gets to have a kid with you. He always wanted a kid, and a kid with YOU, his dream is coming true.
When he finally gets to see his child, he starts crying and hugging you and his new baby girl.
Dresses his baby in cute little dresses! He found a cute dragon onesie and is obsessed with it.
Calls her “my little dragon”
Is a pro at feeding, changing diapers, calming her down, and making her laugh.
He spoils her so much that her room is engulfed with stuffed animals, blankets, and the cutest baby bottles.
The dragons love her, they cuddle her all the time.

Is super excited, like omg I’m gonna be a father finally!
Dresses her in a lil cowboy hat sometimes it’s so cute, its brown with little bees on it. Has her own little cow boy boots to.
Feeds her like a pro!
Does that thing where she’ll toss her in the hair and catch her, gently of course.
If he’s out and about he has a baby carrier with horses all over it.
Doesn’t smoke when she’s with him, refuses it and will never do it. He actually stops a lot and rarely does in the future.

Very excited! He’s gonna be a dad! It makes him so happy to have a baby with you.

So gentle to her, he treats her like the most breakable glass in the world.
Lots of plushes, so many omg.
He makes her dance, like he does that thing where he moves her arms and legs to make her dance and it’s adorable.
Her first words are “dada” and he starts fucking sobbing.

OMG HES FINALLY A FUCKING DAD! He crys in your chest when that happens
Loves taking her around everywhere in a stroller, especially at the park when he’s on his daily run.
“Where’s the wife today?”
“My HUSBAND is at home making lunch.”
Mercy babysits for you
Stricks me as the guy who builds everything, like he built her crib, a shelf, her diaper changing paper.
Has 20 books on parenting, and asks Ana a lot of questions to.
Starts crying when she touches his face and giggles, his heart is all warm and fuzzy.

Talon finding out their kid wanted to 'be like them'
Reaper
He immediately shut down the whole experiment and demanded to know what you were doing
When you told him you just wanted to be cool like him, his heart broke
As he steered you out of Moira's lab he was glaring daggers at her until you and Reaper were in a private place
There, Reaper explains how he ended up like this and how he doesn't want you to have to go through the same pain he did.
Don't break your poor dad's heart you're all he has left
Widowmaker
She's also appalled when she figures out you let Moira experiment on you
For once she actually sheds a tear when she was asking what you were doing
When you tell her you just wanted to be cool and strong like her, she falls silent
It took Widowmaker forever and a day to be able to feel things again, and she can't imagine losing you now
You're her child and the only person she feels love for, and she is not going to lose your love because of an experiment
Sombra
She's very confused when she walks in and sees a bunch of high tech stuff and you, sitting on one of Moira's gurneys
When she asks what you're doing and you say you're gonna become like her, she honestly starts grinning
Sombra's experimentation was her choice so she walks you through everything that's gonna happen and promises she'll help you figure out how to work it when the surgery is over
She's so freaking proud of you and is delighted to have her kid as her partner in crime

*Roadhog- Probably first name basis when it comes to contact info, probably in big ass bold letters so he would see it better though.
*Reinhardt- Saves people as numbers in his phone, so you'd probably be the number of the next contact.
*Orisa- Your callsign with maybe ":)" at the end depending on how close you are.
*Sigma- Definitely a weird nickname of your actual name, something that he made up and went with, it's probably not even close to your actual name.
*Doomfist- The incorrect spelling of your name.
*Zarya- Russian nickname on what she thinks about you (Slavics understand what I mean).
*Junker Queen- Something about your physical traits which helps her identify who you are.
*Rammatra- Also probably just your name.
*Mauga- Emoji as your contact name.

*Genji- Your name spelled in Japanese to help him read it.
*Torbjorn- Either "Kid #whatever" or no name at all.
*Ashe- Probably a southern nickname like "Chick" or "That One".

*Junkrat- Maybe "Sheila" or like "The Special One", he has the weirdest contact names for people that make no sense to anyone but him.

*Widowmaker- Your name in her contacts is based off the color of your hair, somehow, it's a bit too accurate too. It can also be based off of a little detail about u like a specific spot with a birthmark or something.

I see people joking about how, despite being one of the best snipers lore wise, Widow always seems to miss her shots.
And I know this is a joke but I thought I'd actually analyse this.
Cause that's what I do.
I look way too far into dumb bullshit.
.....ANYWAY-
The times we see Widow in an active sniper role is in three cinematics. The ones in question being The Overwatch Cinematic Trailer, Alive and Infiltration.
Let's start off with the cinematic trailer, now the first thing to point out is the fact that Widow misses several shots on Winston;
Now this.... is just kinda embarrassing. Winston was standing still, he doesn't have a helmet on, and he's fucking huge, Widow, honey, you need to stop drinking before missions-
Jokes aside I can justify her not getting a headshot for more reason then just "lack of aim or skill".
For one this is what happened before hand;
And I don't care how genetically enhanced she is, she isn't Jack or Gabe, she's going to need some time to recover from that. Soe her missing headshots and even some body shots in this moment is understandable. However, she does have time to recover when this happens;
Lena is right on her, she wasn't even that quiet, and she was startled by that. She doesn't even realise that Lena is there until she starts talking.
This isn't even the first time she had to deal wither Tracer sneaking up on her, and the first time she actually handled it better. This brings us to Alive.
Where this happened;
Through out the fight in Alive, though she does fight against Lena well, she doesn't land a shot on her until the end. Not only that but we see that she already had a clean shot on Mondatta, she had time to shoot him then but didn't.
In Infiltration, she doesn't really do much on screen, and she never really got a clean shot due to Sombra. In the times she is active Reaper is the one doing the killing, not her.
Now what does this have to do with Widow missing her shots? You might notice that I never use the comics as an example, that's because most of her time in the comics is in positions where she is in her element. In all these examples there are common flaws that other sniper characters like Ana, Hanzo, Cassidy and even Ashe don't have. Widow, as a sniper, lacks the ability to land a shot when doing sudden movements/repositioning, and lacks spatial awareness when trying to take a shot.
Despite what fans and Widow herself thinks, she was not trained to be a sniper in active combat. She was trained to be an assassin, a hidden threat, the backup plan. So her being in these active fights where people are aware of her, are her weak spot.
Let me pull up the examples again and compare them to how other characters who were trained to be in the full blast of combat react.
In the Overwatch Trailer we not only see Lena sneak up on her, but an untrained kid steal Doomfists gauntlet without her noticing;
Compare this to Cassidy in Reunion and there is a very big difference;
Not only that but if you actually look at Widow's fighting style compared to the other snipers, it lacks personality. Lore wise if you genuinely look at Widow fighting, she is very precise and is always focusing on the target but there is no movement she does that feels like her own style.
Let's look at the other snipers, both Ashe and Ana are very still when sniping, however Ana uses a lot of swift movements and tends to reposition herself regularly. She's always aware of her surroundings to the point where we have never really seen her be snuck up on. As for Ashe, her stance is much the same as Widow, however, you can tell the reason she stays a lot more still is because she is a very team orientated fighter, not only that but in Deadlock Rebels she does move around a lot more.
There is also the fact that both of these characters have fighting habits, both tend to do back-to-back fighting when fighting along side another person, Ashe tends to either use B.O.B as cover or just tends to look for cover in general. Again, Ana tends to reposition a lot not only that but an over the shoulder shot when someone is sneaking up on her is something specific to her and Cassidy.
Speaking of which I could make a whole separate analysis on Cassidy and Hanzo's fighting styles. If Ashe and Ana's fighting styles have personality then Cassidy and Hanzo's are swimming with it.
Hanzo uses a mix of long and close ranged fighting, often combining the two, he also moves around frequently, not staying in one place for a long time. Another thing he does is if one angle doesn't work he instantly changes the trajectory of his arrows. And I won't get into it too much here, but he also uses his bow as a melee weapon more then in necessary.
With Cassidy he's a lot more improvised, as well as he's a lot more aware of his surroundings then any other character. Meaning he ends up using the environment a lot more then the other aim orientated characters. In "Train Hopper" he uses a tunnel to his advantage to take out several Talon agents, in Reunion he uses several environmental factors to throw off Deadlock members, he also is very much a close ranged fighter when in active combat.
I am telling you all now that I am holding back a lot because this is a Widow post but I REALLY want to talk more about Cassidy and Hanzo's fighting styles. I find them so interesting.
The thing is with Widow is that she fights on a technical standpoint, she fights like a Talon member, not like herself. She fights like a sniper, a basic level of what Ana and Ashe do, but considering what her gun actually does, I think she would be a better sniper if she fought more like Cassidy and Hanzo, using a combination of long ranged and close ranged techniques.
I also think that if she added more of herself when fighting she's have a better chance of handling herself in a 1v1. Which is something I hope happens in her redemption. I would love to see her use dance techniques when fighting, or use the fact that she would be a lot more flexible then a lot of other characters to get into positions that other couldn't.
I think that her being emotionless and her only using the skills taught to her by Talon is actively holding her back from being a better sniper. It's something I really hope is pointed out in canon. It's something I genuinely hope is a big part of her arc and how she bonds with other characters.
And I think I need to re-iterate this, Widowmaker is still a great shot and a great sniper, she is just not really as skilled as she thinks she is. She was trained to be an assassin, which I believe she is the best assassin in the game, but as a sniper in an active battle field she is not as good as the other characters.

These are just my favorite/main headcannons tbh
• HEAVY on the they/them Moria
• Cassidy is a girls girl™ If he's out on a mission with (insert literally any woman in ow) and some creepy guy is hitting on her/touching her, he'll go over and defend her, pretending to be her boyfriend so they'll back down
•Trans Junkrat!!! Trans Sombra!!!!
•Roadhog had a wife and kids before he joined the AFL idc what anyone says
•Baptist calls lifeweaver "Flè mwen" which means "my flower" in Haitian Creole (I used a translator so let me know if I'm wrong <3)
•Pharah stole one of Cassidy's hats back in his blackwatch days when she was 13, she still has it (and sometimes wears it around the bass)
•Genji has a drink named after him at the bar he used to frequent when he was younger
•Junkrats mom spoke Arabic so that's why he gravitated to Ana when he was first around her, he hasn't told anybody tho
•Mercy loves to harp on Cassidy about his smoking habits like she isn't living off of coffee and cigarettes (and sometimes a bagel bc of pharah😌
•Cassidy got Ana a "I love my lesbian daughter" shirt for Christmas, he bought it as a joke, she wears it regularly.
•Junkrat can swallow something then bring it back up, it's a great party trick, he thinks, but it usually grosses people out. It's come in handy on missions tho
•When Sojourn brings Murphy to the watchpoint, she gets SMOTHERED with pets, kisses and love from everyone. The same thing happens when Brigitte brings Mitzi around.
•Symetera and Lifeweaver have completely opposite tastes in music so they were CONSTANTLY arguing about who gets to put on music when they shared a dorm (sym usually won)
•When Hanzo laughs he snorts
•Lúcio has real bad arthritis and his skates are more braces than anything, he also has knee, hand and back braces at the ready
•Tracer gets Emily a souvenir from every place she gets deployed to
•Zenyattas favorite color is Yellow
•JunkerQueen carries around hamster treats in her pockets when Wreaking Ball is with her "For when the champ gets hungry!" She always says(in reality she just thinks it's cute how hamsters eat)
•Torbjorn sometimes brings his (older) kids around if the original group of Overwatch is there, he trusts the others...just not with his kids and is really reluctant with Brigitte
•Roadhog has been teaching Junkrat how to properly write and read and it's really improved how Junkrat functions when they're not fighting for survival in the outback
•Illari is a jewelry girl, but she cant wear to much because it gets in the way of training/fighting, but her collection of gold accessories is off the charts
•Sombra took the username D.va on social media and finds it SO funny that Dva has to use a different variation of her gamertag
•I feel like Reaper still has the same sense of humor he did in over/blackwatch and will constantly make witty jokes to Widowmaker or Moria who just give him a blank stare, Doomfist usually finds them funny tho
•Kiriko and Genji literally cannot cook to save their lives and usually takes two of them to make a small microwave meal
•B.O.B had his voice box removed when he was working for Ashes parents and even after all the years of her offering him to get his voice back, he chooses to use sign language instead but the offer is always on the table, Ashe says
•Lúcio has a 10k DJ set up in his room, and gets violent if anyone tries to mess with anything, literally almost took Cassidy's other arm off when he moved a bunch of dials, he'll show you around the soundboard if you ask tho!
•Kiriko is Hanzo and Genjis Cousin (Asa is their mom's sister <3)
•Reinhardt snores. LOUDLY. Brigitte had to get him a sleep apnea mask so she was able to sleep in the same vicinity as him
•Reaper is from Michigan🫶🏻
•Soldier76 gets made fun of by D.va for being old, but the second he's like "me and Ana are practically the same age" D.va gets all defensive "you just called a woman old!"
•Mei and Tracer share a room, they both sleep better with company
•(Blackwatch)Moria and Genji had an anime night where they would watch 10-20 episodes of any given series they were on, but

ok do you think you could write a little crack fic headcannon for some members of Overwatch and Talon reacting to Reader who has a puppet that they pull out of nowhere and no one has found out where they hide it also the puppet is grumpy and swears a lot

Tracer
Lena doesn't like swearing, but damn when she hears Jimbo cussing out some poor recruit on base, she can't help but crack up
If it's at her she actually gets invested in an argument
way too invested to where she's saying bloody hell every 3 seconds into the argument
Seeing her genuinely get fired up at a puppet amuses you and so you keep doing it until she decides she's had enough and kisses you to shut up the puppet
Kiriko
Has a fox puppet and will play around with you
Though she usually has to prepare or look for her own she has no clue where you store your puppet to have it come to life out of no where
you two would run a puppet show on youtube with subtitles tbh, though it's mostly for the little girl and the grandpa (In the cinematic)
Kiriko makes sure Jimbo stays kid friendly for those, otherwise you're sleeping on the couch
Sombra
Like Kiriko has her own puppet
Though she can make them of any character, even Jimbo
Both of y'all make Jimbo 1 and 2 argue with each other
moira has walked in on this at some point and made a 180 out of the door not to be seen for a week
Widowmaker
There was a time you made the horrible decision to pull the puppet next to her while she was sniping
Nearly lost Jimbo and your hand
Amelie doesn't want to admit it, but it cracks her up. It's rare to see Moira and Reaper so unsettled by the puppet it warms her cold heart and she stifles her laughter
Though she gave up trying to figure out where you pull Jimbo from in the first place
Doomfist
He breaks every time you manage to pull jimbo out
It's his weakness, and seeing Jimbo cuss out other members of the teams and managing to sass them he can't help but bark out with laughter
He'll make a lot of talk to the fist jokes to Jimbo and Jimbo throws them right back
He's so tempted to make a puppet fist just to mess around with you and your puppet

Hi! I'm very new to the overwatch Fandom and am currently obsessing over your fan kids (specifically Seye bc I don't see a lot of doom content and I love him) ANYWAY, doomfist does die, right? If so, who is it that kills him, and how do Seye and his mother react? I did read the post about Seye eventually destroying the doomfist with some help, but am super curious about some of what happens in between and after :>
Wow! Asks that make me dig through my ancient 'Marsey' tag.
To be honest, I used to be SUPER protective and vague when it came to stuff at this stage of the story I wanted to tell with my fankids, and was also being sadly dangled along by Blizzard's breadcrumbs of lore---I was in a dance with Blizzard where, I did have a very strong idea of how I wanted the story to end, but I was also dependent on Blizzard for canon lore so that I could make my ending the most accurate, the most satisfying. But seeing as there's basically only lore drops now because Blizzard no longer gives a shit about continuity or quality, and basically the cast has expanded so much since I initially plotted it out that I'll probably have to reconfigure this ending in some capacity anyway, I can talk about it now.
Basically there were two avenues I could have taken with Doomfist, the first one, that actually had those Marsey fics, where it was basically a 'continuation' of the Doomfist cycle, that is, some guy challenges Doomfist for the gauntlet and is able to kill him and take the gauntlet, which obviously puts Seye into a lurch as Doomfist's son and the previously assumed successor. I literally didn't have a name for this would-be killer, and in a way, it didn't really matter because you as the reader weren't supposed to see Doomfist's killer as the rightful bearer of the mantle and Seye's whole arc would be defeating this guy (with Marti's help) and then basically shutting down the weird Metal Gear-esque war cult that's risen around the Doomfist gauntlet as a symbol.
The other option was that Doomfist would be killed in the Final Battle™ at Nepal by... drumroll... Junkrat and Roadhog. NOW BEFORE YOU YELL AT ME, Junkrat and Roadhog would also die in this fight. Roadhog would die before Junkrat, but Junkrat would basically be talking to a very clearly bled-out-past-the-point-of-no-return-and-unconscious Roadie like, "It's okay, Roadie, you can take a nap. I can wrap this up," Before pulling all of the pins on all the grenades on his little chest harness while clinging onto Doomfist. Okay you can yell at me more now. But mostly I loved the combination of dramatic irony of Doomfist being consumed in these fires of chaos, and of the ~Junkers~ of all people going out in a blaze of glory against one of Overwatch's Final Bosses. I had this in my brain for years before Junkrat even got his "I killed the Doomfist!!" elimination line, btw. Doomfist views conflict as its own sort of order, but ends up getting killed by the wacky Mad Max randos who have kind of been the comic relief this whole time. Basically the fact that the Doomfist gauntlet itself would also be destroyed in this kind of fight would aslo be the thing that ends the cycle. That was also the battle that was vaguely referenced in this fic.
In both potential deaths for Doomfist, Seye becomes disillusioned enough with Talon as an organization to basically split off and form his own splinter mercenary organization (I was going to use my Talon Goon OC's as his starting lineup, haha), and he also attempts to create his own mantle as "Earthshaker" but he's still deeply affected by Doomfist's death because that's so much of his identity and he's had this enormous fear of irrelevance all of his life. Like this isn't just the grief of losing a father, this is the threat of oblivion that he's dreaded his entire life. As for Seye's mother, Tejuka, it's less of a blow to her--she more or less came to terms with the fact that Doomfist really doesn't have the philosophy or lifestyle to "go peacefully in his sleep," and that's one of the reasons why they divorced and she put so much effort into grooming Seye to actually be the successor of Ogundimu Prosthetics. Dying is easy, living's harder, etc, etc.

But, if anyone's most likely to have a kid, it's Reaper. He actually has a kid, unlike anyone else. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Moira has some child locked away that she's using as a ginea pig.

I have no idea if the community is still alive, but I’ve been slowly concerted toward Doomcio lately (as a lucio main of course).
So, naturally, my little hamster brain starts running. I wanna write a very specific fic about them but idk if anyone will read it. I’ll still do it, but I really do hope I haven’t missed my people.
The basic premise of this fic will be Talon taking Lucio not long after the re-call. They have a few files on his tech but after Lucio stole it back from Vishkar, Talon really wants to know what it can do. Besides, they’ve wanted that kid gone for a while.
So, they steal him during a mission or something. Moira then goes straight to work with her experiments while Sigma is left to figure out his tech, along with Sombra (idk who is more in character to be responsible for that).
Then -and this is the juicy part- Moira uses Pavlov’s dog style experiments to make it so Lucio CANNOT hurt Doomfist or allow anyone else to. His body reacts before his brain and he’s drawn to Doomfist immediately. She makes him physically and unknowingly emotionally reliant on his safety.
But unknowing tot hem, the same effect happens to Doomfist! He also CANNOT hurt lucio or allow him to be injured. Then starts the frustrating pull they both have physically but they still hate each others guts for lots of reasons.
It’s not the most healthy relationship ship, but it’s the start of this fic, so I’ll work more on how it develops. It may never be healthy, but I highly doubt that’s why the Doomcio fans are here to begin with. It’s juicy and opposites attract Toba dangerous level!

Can we get Genji, Cassidy, Hanzo and Zenyatta with a feral kid? Like, the kid usually wanders around Overwatch’s bases and the only reason they haven’t been sent off is because they used to be under Talon’s command? They’re very quiet and skittish, but let’s say those four show them an ounce of affection or something other than cold neutrality? Flash forward to Talon trying to attack the base and the kid goes FERAL. Guard dog little child that is extremely overprotective :D

After you both won, he picks you up, puts you on his shoulders, and happily tells everyone what you did to save him
Hanzo
Very confused when he spotted you wandering around the base
When he heard why you were there he felt bad that you didn't have anybody
He knew he probably wasn't the best option but decided to try and help anyway
When Talon was attacking, Hanzo was fighting Doomfist when you decided to help
Once Talon ran off Hanzo set one hand on your shoulder and sincerely thanked you for helping him
If you happen to hug him he'll freeze before hugging you back
Zenyatta
Zenyatta happily took you under his wing and became a good influence towards you
He helped you with the bad memories and became a bit of a safe space for you
When Talon attacked, Zen was trying to get you to safety but was struggling to dodge Widowmaker's bullets
When he turned around you were gone and he glanced back towards Widowmaker to see you tackling her
Once Talon ran off, Zen quickly went over to you and checked you for injuries before thanking you for helping him

I didn't read Code Of Violence, and personally, from what I hear, I'm glad I didn't. Honestly, Idk, Gabe being a cop doesn't make much sense to me. Not the mention, the whole disillusioned cop trope is cringeworthy. To me, he seems more like someone who was military from a young age or came from a military family. Or somebody someone who grew up on the streets (maybe similar to McCree, but City gangs in LA instead of gangs like The Deadlock gang; he seems like the school of hard knocks type).
Then there's the wife and kid thing. I don't have a problem with the fact that they made him have a wife and kid, but, like with the Soldier 76 gay reveal thing, it's how they reveal these things, and when they choose to do it. (I don't have a problem with Soldier 76 being gay, I have a problem with the fact that they didn't tell us from the start like they did with Tracer. And that they dropped it with just one little conversation in a short story, that it's never been addressed or mentioned in game or in anything since.) Same with Gabe's family. It was something they should have mentioned/talked about from the start, not mentioned in one line in one short story and one panel in which, at the time, it wasn't even revealed who they were. I even remember one of the writers saying specifically saying at the time that the family pictured was not Reaper's family, but it was a family that was important to him.
To top that off, there's the whole joining Talon because he was so disillusioned and discouraged thing. Retribution was supposed to be the turning point, and the Gabriel Reyes from the Retribution short story HATED Talon with a passion and hated Antonio because of his affiliation with Talon and how he knew that because of his "friends" aka his involvement with Talon, he would be set free. Gabe knows full well that Talon has big corporations backing them. No matter how angry, bitter, or whatever he gets at Overwatch or the people in it, Doomfist is not going to be able to talk him into joining them so easily. He's certainly not going to join an organization he despises so much and suddenly agree with their views and ideas of a new world order.
Since we don't entirely know Reaper's true motives, it's possible that, like Sombra, he is only using Talon's power, reach, and resources to further his own goals and isn't actually loyal to Talon per say. Honestly, that's the only answer I'd accept at this point because it just doesn't make sense any other way. But it's also entirely possible that it's just Overwatch's lore contradicting itself again because, let's face it, we know they have a history of flip-flopping with their lore.😮💨

You know who I wish got more lore? Efi and Orisa. Will she be contacted by Overwatch for her very clear talent and intelligence? Would she be ALLOWED to join? Would she or the other agents care about her age? Has she met any of the other OW characters in canon? Do they forget she's only like 13, or are they PAINFULLY aware and make sure not to say any adult things around her? Orisa seems comfortable and accepting of her role as the "defender of numbani," but I hope she gets a character arch where she discovers she has free will and learns to make her own decisions. What's the dynamic like between Efi and Orisa?
I do think that Efi will be contacted by Overwatch at some point and as I have stated in previous posts I think she's going to be a parallel to Mina Liao. Meaning she would be a part of Overwatch but in more of a tech support role, out of the conflict. In "The Hero of Numbani" Efi honestly isn't that concerned with her age and is often put off by people treating her like a kid so I don't think her age would bother her.
As for if she has met other Overwatch members, she's met Lucio and helped him and Orisa chase Doomfist out of Numbani. After those events they also met up with Sojourn who had a talk with them on what it meant to be a hero, which gave Efi the inspiration for the upgrades we see on Orisa in OW2. So I think it's highly likely that Lucio and Sojourn will get both Orisa and Efi to join OW, that or they're just going to show up and say they're joining.
As for her age in relation to other characters, I think some characters, specifically Jack, Baptiste, Ana, Cassidy and Angela would be hyper aware of her age, but not in the "this is a child so no swear words" more in the "I'm sorry you have to be a part of this and if it wasn't necessary you wouldn't be here at all". Jack and Ana as characters are already highly protective of the younger members of Overwatch, not to mention that Ana is a mother. As for Bap, Cass and Ange, all three of them where also kids during the Crisis, Cassidy being implied to have been on the streets during it, so I think they'd be making sure Efi is OK.
For Efi and Orisa's relationship, in the book Efi mentions feeling like a proud parent a lot but I think their dynamic is more sisterly then parental. The parental aspect only really being there because the relationship is still creator-creation.
I honestly can't wait to see more of Efi, I think her being in the story is such a good opportunity for character arcs and giving more light to different stories. It's the same with Illari and D.Va being relatively young when they started fighting.
